Fun fact, I used to hate Jaya. I thought it was really forced in the canon, and Jay's really obsessive behavior that is the catalyst for all of the events in Skybound always really bothered me? But tumblr has completely turned me around on this ship. They have their moments in canon, but in fanon they're really wonderful. thanks tumblr <3

these two...... 🥺they are really good i will admit. I'm a big fan of glaciershipping myself and I tend to prefer it over pixane, but these two are so lovely to each other and i totally see the appeal. I just wish pixal wasn't so sidelined in the canon fr what were they doing with her character??? let her be around more often let her and zane be sweet together. please smh

SKYLOR ALSO HAS NOTHING TO DO MOST OF THE TIME-- honestly this show sidelines like all of its female characters so hard. but these two are great toooo theyre sweeeet 😊 i just wish skylor was used for more than cameos. i like that she's the only one that can consistently shake kai's ego it's a great dynamic

lloyd and akita!! i'm gonna be so real with you guys i forget about akita so often ;v; which is a shame... i give her the award for most sidelined female character because she existed for half a season. but she and lloyd are sweet! I don't tend to ship lloyd with anyone personally, but i do love that they meet under the circumstances of "lloyd is in a world where his name and status mean nothing so he has no pressure to perform". it's a fantastic break for him. holy shit he deserves it

im gonna be so honest with all of you um. i actually. havent seen MotM yet. i was in the middle of my rewatch, and i got up to the point i stopped, right before MotM, and then Netflix changed their watch policies. and then of course i got busy

but from what i've seen of these two in fanon they seem alright! I usually prefer them in other wlw or mlm ships because of ONE ninjago vine compliation thing i saw with the two of them as this one tiktok and i've never been able to think of them as a couple since then. But they seem like they have a lovely friendship, whether that ends up turning to romance or not!

“Almost there.” Adrian’s velvety voice whispered behind you. You had an inkling of an idea when you come from the woods to the castle and found a dress you’d never seen before on your bed, that Adrian had something planned for you. You were currently led through endless twists and pathways of this mysterious building and even though you had memorized some routes you’d taken regularly, you didn’t recognize this part of the castle. He wrapped a silky ribbon around your eyes as he carefully guided you with his hands on your shoulders.

“We’ve been walking for some time. Where are you taking me?” you ask him bemused.

Alucard chuckles, “be patient, my love. Don’t you trust me?”

You sighed, “of course I do…”

“That’s what I thought.”

A creak and closing door was what alerted you that you’d reached your destination. You felt a caress of silk as it slipped over your eyes and you squinted in the faint light. A gasp left your lips. There, in a spacious room decorated with ornate mirrored walls burnt rows and rows of candles. Some were put in candelabras of various shapes and sizes, some littered the floor arranged neatly on tarnished trays. You watched the soft light reflecting in mirrors and wordlessly with your mouth slightly opened and a disbelieving look in your eyes you tried to take it all in.

Adrian watched your astonished expression in the mirror and let a soft laugh through his nose. “I take that as you like this?”

Instead of answering him, you ran into his arms. The dhampir let out a pleased hum as you pressed your lips against his. Several passionate presses of your mouth on his weren’t enough for you and soon you spread your affections on his cheeks, his chin, and his nose, as he tries to gently push you away. When Alucard finally managed to escape your loving mouth, he noted with barely contained amusement “I should surprise you more often.”

“This is beautiful!” you exclaimed with excitement, “How long it took you to prepare this?”

Adrian hummed in thought, “To light all the candles it took about three hours.” You stared at him with wide eyes. “Goodness…I wonder how many candles there are.”

“You know I have no idea?” Adrian countered, “I think maybe a few thousand.”

He caught sight of your shocked expression and chuckled. “Well I wanted to fill the whole room and I didn’t realize the ballroom was this big when I began” He gestured to the rows of candles.

“In all your favorite stories it’s all about great gestures of love and well…this is the beginning of mine.” You turned around in place, trying your hardest to absorb all that was around you. The awe and adoration for him render you completely speechless. Over the course of your time in Adrien’s castle, you have become skilled in navigating the sparse building. However, in all your time here, you’ve never come across this room.

It was a rather small circular room. Moonlight shone through five huge tall windows that spanned from the floor to the ceiling, while the inlaid Venetian mirrors, reflected the glint of the candles. It was breathtaking.

Adrian gave you a small secretive, smile and extended his arm to you. “There’s so much more, follow me.”

Only when he led you around the room with your arm resting in the crook of his you notice a faint sweet melody. When you asked him about it, Adrien raised his brows, beckoning you to a set of instruments that floated mid-air, as if operated by invisible musicians.

“Oh, this? It’s an enchanted ensemble. I happen to know a very crafty woman who speaks her magic. Maybe one day I’ll introduce you to her.” His gaze seemed distant, probably thinking about the said woman.

You beamed at him, “I’d love to meet her. This…” you gestured towards the room, “…is incredible. You’re amazing.” You looked at him completely besotted. It was still difficult to be on receiving end of such admiration, so the Dhampir turned away for a second to hide his bashfulness.

“Well, I’m glad you love it.” You pressed another, fleeting kiss to his lips, which earned a chuckle from him.

“If you keep this up we won’t be able to get to the best part.”

“That’s not all?!” you exclaimed in shock.

Without another word, Adrian led you towards a small table with a single lit candle and two added chairs. A wide variety of sweet and savory bites graced expensive cutlery and you noticed a bottle of wine standing near two goblets from cut glass.

“Is that…?”

“Yes, cream puffs. I know they’re your favorite. Tracking down the place they are made was quite the feat. I also managed to track down a bottle of the finest wine in Breilla.” He took the bottle in his hands and looked at the label with pride.

You couldn’t keep your eyes off of him. This man. This lovely, thoughtful, beautiful man had carefully crafted a night of your dreams, all by himself. It felt unreal. You were swimming with so much emotion you didn’t know how to express it all, making your throat tighten and eyes water.

When he noticed you standing there with tears in your eyes, Adrian panicked.

“Are you…are you crying? Oh no…is this the good or the ba-”

Despite it being Adrian’s second frontal attack this evening, he expected this one even less. He let out a surprised ‘uff’ which was immediately silenced with your tongue passionately licking into his mouth as you jumped into his arms. His arms effectively supported your weight against him. Only when you ran out of air you finally released him, only to pepper his face with kisses I love you’s whispered against his cheeks.

As he was showered by your affections, Adrian huffed out amusedly, “I love you too. Although I think, that would be obvious by now. I did this all for you after all.”

He put you down and stepped back a little. Then with a deep bow, he offered you his hand.

“Well, may I?”

You giggled like a little child and eagerly took his hand. The Dhampir twirled you with practiced ease and lead the steps along the music.

You danced in the beautiful ballroom, bodies perfectly in sync. Good thing that Adrian offered to give a few dancing lessons prior to this night. As if he was planning for all of this from the beginning. You rested your head against his collarbone while he nuzzled the side of your head.

“Your skin is so soft,” he whispered in your ear, “especially…right there.” You felt a pair of lips press against the skin behind your ear and felt a shiver run all the way down to your feet.

If he’ll keep this up, you won’t be even able to stand, let alone dance.

“You know, your neck is looking rather…bare.” He lifted his head and studied you for a moment. “It’s a good thing I picked this up as well.” Out of somewhere, he fished out a piece of delicate jewelry. You felt short for breath for an umpteenth time this evening. “Do you like it?”

“Oh…oh Adrien.” You heard your voice crack.

“I saw you admiring a similar necklace in the shop window about a month ago and I decided to have this made for you.” He dangled the small chain dangle precariously in his fingers.

Ever the gentleman, Adrian asked you if he can put it on you. Being completely lost for words, all you could do was nod. You cast your eyes towards the floor shyly as he gently draped the necklace across your collarbones. Cold fingers gently grazed your neck as he placed another kiss on the back of your nape.

As he stepped away to admire his handiwork and discerned the flustered and touched look in your eyes, he nodded in satisfaction. “Well, I think this deserves a toast.”

He poured the wine into the glassware and handed you one of the goblets. You grasped the delicate stem, clinking it with his in the toast.

“To the first of many Valentines. I love you.”

You ask him if he can help you. He looks into the car for a moment and says that maybe you should set the transmission to "D". You are really stupid. But you just don't understand anything about technology. Giggle.

okay i’m officially obsessed with robin’s high school band experience (i say officially, i’ve been thinking about this for a while and now i’m finally caving and writing about it), so here are my Robin Buckley Band Geek(TM) headcanons for you to enjoy or ignore at your leisure

Robin is actually surprisingly into basketball. did you see her at that game? yeah, she’s there to shred the melody line on 25 or 6 to 4, but she’s also here cheer on/laugh at the Hawkins High team

you bet your ass she has had a crush on like half the girls’ basketball team btw

some of her first jabs at Steve were actually about some of his worst moments on the court. until she saw that those actually hit kind of hard, and then she laid off and started mocking his inability to talk to girls instead

once she and steve become friends, he’s actually surprised when she can keep up with his and lucas’s basketball chats. they ask her to practice with them exactly once, and it goes as terribly as you’d expect. but she still hangs out sometimes and gives lucas pointers when steve isn’t there

her favorite pep band song is Sweet Caroline. it just is.

she is not supposed to be standing next to Vickie during Lucas’s game (seriously what even are their lines?? trombone trumpet clarinet? a random baritone row behind them? @ hawkins pep band wtf is going on here)

this is band kid law. you have to have a vendetta with either the percussion line or the trumpet section, and since she plays trumpet, she only has one option

she’s actually not bad at marching band. she has the discipline, she can think on her feet, she can focus on her steps and the angle of her trumpet and the set list and everything all at once with no issue. it takes her a while to stop stumbling over her feet freshman year, but once she has the fundamentals down, she’s absolutely fine

she took a french horn solo to state contest her junior year and actually ranked pretty high. but between the stress and the ptsd, she just didn’t have the motivation to do it again her senior year

it’s just as well. contest would’ve been after the events of spring break, and even if hawkins high had the resources to send a group of band and choir kids to contest after the “earthquake,” she definitely would’ve backed out

speaking of spring break, the first time she tries to play trumpet again after facing vecna hurts. that’s a lot of air to get through a throat that’s been nearly crushed by upside down vines. she fakes a lot of her playing for a few weeks, and by the time graduation rolls around, she’s mostly just going through the motions

it’s another thing the upside down has taken from her, and it makes her livid

Nancy absolutely understands why Robin is pulling away from band, but sometimes she thinks back on her vague memories of Robin in the bleachers--the crisp jacket, the clean white gloves, the sharp angle of her shoulders as she snaps her horn to attention--and she wishes she’d paid more attention to her back then

Will joins band his sophomore year! he wants to try something that’s just for him. he asks Robin for advice and she tells him how to get on the director’s good side as well as which kids to avoid. she also tells him that if he joins percussion she’ll never forgive him.

i think he’d play sax personally--lots of melody, great for solos, but also not the center of attention and really good at blending in

Robin finds herself going to a lot of hawkins high games during her gap year, which is completely unexpected but also a lot of fun. she and Steve sit in the stands and cheer Will and Lucas on in equal measure

(Will being there for all of Lucas’s games, too <3 it’s what he deservessss)

Robin’s parents are broke and she never ever spends any of her money on herself, so she doesn’t actually own any of the instruments she’s played. which means after high school, she has no access to any of it even if she wanted to keep playing

Nancy, Steve, and all the kids pitch in to get her a really nice trumpet a couple years after high school. we’re talking King brand, silk-lined case, the works. she cherishes that thing like it’s the fucking crown jewels

if/when Robin goes to college, she won’t join band but she’ll befriend a lot of the band kids. they’ll find out she used to play a couple different brass instruments and encourage her to pick it up again, even if it’s just in her free time

she does, and she joins some small groups--not class related, just having fun and performing with her friends

(steve goes to every single performance, even if it’s not even a show or anything. he’s been known to sit in on practices and grin at her with the proudest, dorkiest look on his face)

(Nancy also goes to every performance she can. she surprises Robin once, flying in at the last minute to go to one of her concerts. she shows up with a bouquet of flowers and it takes all of Robin’s willpower not to fall to her knees and propose right there)

- A Once-In-A-Lifetime Pandemoniun

in general, i love silly little school trip moments!! Pandemonium was just lovely. Rui and the three friends he made <333 2-B boys you will always be famous to me. the surprised Pikachu face Rui pulled every time they were nice to him and included him in their banter, literally wanted to sob. Airi and Tsukasa having to stop Shizuku and Rui wandering off. Shizuku and Tsukasa childhood memories. and of course- well, look at my icon. not to mention the CARD SET??? absolutely beautiful. adore the yokai theme, Rui and Shizuku's cards nearly offed me. i stared at them for a good five minutes when they were first leaked

- No Seek, No Find

this is one of the few events that made me cry. Saki, you will always be my favourite Tenma <3 her frustration while being stuck in the hospital, her fear of being left behind, the unfairness, her loneliness, her guilt for worrying her family, her desire to be "normal"- it was heartbreaking. the card set hits so hard too, my favourite L/n cards. and Tera Tera is always in my head, Saki's solo >>>>

- My Colour

this event literally made me fall in love with Shizuku, i wasn't particularly interested in her too much before. the pressure put on her but then how she finally let herself act like herself <33 she's so hardworking and sweet, live laugh love, Shizuku Hinomori. the cards are so pretty, Shizuku looks so angelic in hers <3 and her solo of Colour of Drops sounds lovely as always too even if it's not a song i care about too much

- Musical Twilight Parade

LEO/NEED AND WONDERLANDS X SHOWTIME!! MY TWO FAVE UNITS HAD A CROSSOVER <33333 I LOVE THEM. the card set was underwhelming yes (only really like Rin's) but!! W x S as tour guides... the shenanigans... literally has one of my favourite moments of all time of Rui teaching the L/n girlies how to trespass, he's such a good influence, isn't he <33 OH YES AND ICHINENE'S FIRST MEETING!! THEY WERE SO AWKWARD AND SHY AROUND EACH OTHER AND NOW THEY'RE SO QUIETLY HAPPY WHEN THEY BUMP INTO EACH OTHER. THEY MEAN SO MUCH TO ME. also, it's a Shiho event so. winner!!

- Don't Lose Faith

Leo/need. Leo/need Cryptonloids. they're all so sweeeet. i love L/n Rin so much <333 i can't put into words why, but i just really like the event story, them training for their concert in Sekai and all with the support of Miku and Co. the cards were really cool (more lims should have dyed hair...) and so is the song, Voices. another Shiho win!!

- A Sorrowful Farewell at the Curtain Call

it's the only event that's got Asahi Genbu in it. that. that is it. oh yeah and W x S was threatened with divorce or something. BUT ASAHI <3 cards were interesting... i like the symbolism but they don't particularly like. interest me greatly? What Sort of Ending Are You Wishing For isn't one of my fave fave songs either... yeah, it was mainly the story that carried this event for me!!

- Insatiable Pale Colour
