It’s a lazy afternoon, and as such, I suddenly think of playing the piano and feeling the sensation of the piano keys dancing beneath my fingertips.

I sit down at the piano and turn on the piano recorder. Recording the tune I’ve played, I send it to Victor.

Victor’s Text: I heard the music you sent me. What made you think of playing this one?

MC’s Text: Actually, I just wanted to rehabilitate my fingers. It’s been a while since I’ve played, and I’m a bit rusty.

Victor’s Text: The flowing could indeed be better. But, the rhythm and emotion are worthy of recognition.

Victor’s Text: It was nice to be able to hear you playing the piano right after I got out of a meeting.

MC’s Text: Victor, I miss you, just a little bit~

Victor’s Text: Just a little bit?

Victor’s Text: …dummy. I’ll see you soon. Very soon.

MC: I seem to be feeling pretty good today, so let’s play a little longer.

The sound of the piano flows quietly through the room, filling the loneliness and silence therein a little bit.

It seems that I need to practice regularly in order to play the piano without making mistakes. Perhaps it’s just because of the state of my mind, but why do I feel that playing the love song felt particularly good today?

When you asked help finding things in the stock room so u asked the guy responsible for it who Knows which things are which- and then the guy be like "find it urself" as he smokes and longues in his desk, and so you gotta go to the room full of shelves and stacks of Things that you are Not Familiar with while customers demanded ur attention at the front ugh

Mikey enjoyed getting to walk his little nephew home from school. It gave him an excuse to see his brother, and he was usually joined by the future trio who wanted a good excuse to hang out with him.

Of course, being the savior of the world two times over meant that people recognized him, even with his age. With the recognition came the confusion. Mikey wasn't married, or even dating anyone, so why did he have a small child in tow? And why did the young adults his age refer to him as 'uncle'?

"Are any of them yours?" Was a frequent question he'd been on the receiving end of.

Without skipping a beat, he'd answer "no," and carry on his way, with the youngin and the future trio on his heels.

This is so many layers 😂

First, you gotta know that I write a rise oc x canon fic.

Then ya gotta know that I did a Bad Future AU of MY fanfic as a joke so Casey could have some friends his age.

And said future trio (more or less) go back in time for the events of the movie.

Which then spirals into, well, what is life like post-movie? And THAT is where this is. A post-bad-future-good-future-AU

Is it canon to either of my fics? Who knows. But I wanted to draw lil Yoshi again and so I did

what are you expecting from the new Catfish stuff? How do you feel about the band basically being a Van solo project now?

Considering how much I enjoyed Showtime, I’m really excited for it!

As for the second question… I guess you could say Catfish has *always* been a solo project? Because Van is the main vocalist and only songwriter? But I think it’ll actually be ~less~ of a solo project than it is right now going forward. Because he’s been writing material while the band doesn’t have all the spots filled, but I think once the spots ~are~ filled the writing will probably be similar to what we’re used to (he’ll do the writing but take input from each member on their parts).
