heeseung knew he fucked up the moment he agreed to take on the challenge. he knew it so so well, yet he decided he could do it and he could pull through the entire month if tried just hard enough. that he could keep his dick in his pants and not in you.
and it was hard. it is hard. his fucking cock twitching underneath his boxers as you discreetly palm him over his suit pants. right in the middle of a dinner with all his friends sitting around the table. unaware of your indecent touches and the looks you throw at your boyfriend.
batting your lashes at him while biting your lips, grabbing his thigh and then moving your hand up to squeeze his cock. it is absolute torture till it lasts. till his resolve breaks and he immediately drags you along to the nearest bathroom. his friends looking at the scene knowing he's done for— just a week into november.
“shit you just had to make me lose didn't you?” heeseung slaps his hand over your mouth, muffling your loud moans as he drills his cock into you. fast and rough; holding your thigh around his waist in a grip so tight it'd probably leave purple bruises.
he tugs you closer on the counter each time you move back from the force of his thrusts, skin slapping into red, painfully pleasurable marks,“couldn’t keep your hands off my cock for once,” he grunts, brows furrowing as you clench around him every two seconds.
“if you keep doing that baby, i might just knock you up with how much i cum,” he moves his hand from your mouth, his lips immediately find yours in a messy lock, nibbling on your lower lip in supressed groans and pants, his balls tightening up when he feels yours walls clamping onto him hard.
𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗝𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗡𝗚
if muscles could tear off easily. jay would be in shreds right now. the sheer amount of restraint it is taking him, each part of him painfully tense— beyond he ever felt in his entire life. absolute hell he is going through watching you prance around in just a croptop and freaking bikini bottoms.
his eyes almost popping out of the sockets with drooling desire and want for you as he follows along the way you bend over or reach up for absurd and insane reasons. purposely to tease him of course.
he is aware of what you are trying to do. he really is. but he still just can not seem to look away for the sake of his cock and the expensive dinner on line for losing. gaze continuing to follow you as you settle into his lap, arms draping over his shoulders and your ass resting right on top of his now hard cock. oh he's about to lose.
“had this dream last night and— fuck princess you couldn't keep your hands off me and— oh god it was so hot,” jay rambles, his hands gripping your waist guiding you as you grind your drenched folds across his hard cock. back and forth, back and forth. your wet bikini bottoms sliding off to the side each time you reach up to his tip. warm slick smearing over his twitching cock pulled out of his sweatpants just enough.
his soft gasps and grunts filling the room,”gonna lose the no nut but it's worth it,” his eyes stay fixated on your face, watching the way it twists with pleasure and how your lips form an o when you let a moan amidst the constant mewls.
only two days left, but jay just can't resist it anymore. feeling your thighs shake against his and your eyes roll back when he nudges just the tip inside.
𝗦𝗜𝗠 𝗝𝗔𝗘𝗬𝗨𝗡
jake's knuckles turn borderline white against the steering wheel. grip so tight he might as well rip it off the console. he tries so hard to focus on the road, to keep his eyes and his mind on the lane. but god you make it impossible with your hand caressing his thigh. his gaze drifting down each time your pinky rubs against his balls. and mind drifting off to danger zone of no nut november.
a sharp intake of breath and a silent curse falling off his lips when your fingers trail over his bulge in a feather light touch.
calm down, calm down, calm down. jake chants repeatedly— don't get hard, don't get hard, changing the words when he inevitably feels himself throbbing and growing stiffer by the second— fucking don't get hard damn it, all futile for his cock practically springs against the fabric of his cotton pants after you brush over his tip. should have worn the goddamn boxers.
“oh yeah— oh fuck yeah— your pretty pussy feels so good baby,” jake groans against your parted mouth, the sounds leaving you, the way you bounce on him, the sweat trickling down between your breasts; oh he doesn't care it's only been four days since he decided to participate in no nut november.
“how did i even think i could live a month without you cumming on my cock,” his hands squeezing your ass, guiding your movements as the car flaps with your lewd squelches in the backseat. the windows fogged up and filled with your moans and jake’s dirty mouth running rampant.
noticing your face scrunching up in pleasure, he immediately moves his hand over to rub your nub in quick circles,”god yes you're gonna cum for me?” his feet planting firm onto the floorboard before he starts pounding up,”me too baby, gonna fill you up so well.”
𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗡
the cold shower did nothing to help his raging mind. and his raging cock. images of you begging for his cock flashing before his eyes on repeat. you were such a vixen when it came down to sex. knowing exactly how to tempt him in a way he would not be able to be resist.
it's only been ten days. sunghoon reminds himself, a hand rubbing down his face as he tries taking in deep breaths. coming home to you waiting for him right by the front door with fucking bedroom eyes was not something he was ready for. and especially not for the way you tried to persuade him to give up the challenge. pulling him closer by his sweatpants and throwing out the most sensual begs he'd ever heard from you.
it took every cell in him to deny you, rushing into the shower to avoid you before you could notice his boner. he did not lock the door though—
“fuck doll, keep doing that and i’ll cum so hard,” sunghoon throws his head back, water running down his chest and over your pretty little hands jerking his hard cock in sloppy strokes. his hips buck involuntarily, furious and wild despite all the warnings flashing red in his subconscious.
“shit shit shit— fuck wait—” as the tight coil in his stomach threatens to bust, he instantly pulls away. albeit only to push you against the glass wall, haul up your left leg, and shove his cock inside in a brutal thrust. his forehead resting against yours as he fucks rough. rough and mad.
his other hand reaching up to grip your throat in a light choke,”you were so desperate to be fucked, you just had to ruin my challenge didn't you?” thumb pressing onto your windpipe just enough while he stares into your glazed eyes,”so desperate for my cum,”

Basketball Captain!Toji
Detroit Pistons: reaching for the ball
Warnings: 18+ minors and ageless blogs dni, bts of a modern au!smau (part 2 of Toji's series), can be read as a standalone but makes most sense with the context, cursing, mentions of blood and violence, general stupidity at a party, just one long foreplay really, not proofread
You really shouldn’t be here.
Not a party full stop, not trying to enact petty revenge against your shitty ex, and certainly not with Toji Fushiguro, captain of the basketball team, and resident fuckboy.
He’s taken you by surprise at every given turn. You hadn’t expected him to ask for your number from his friend, you hadn’t expected him to reach out just to complain about his placement on the List of the hottest men on campus, and especially did not expect him to let you into the gym just because it was raining, though he did shrug off your incredulous look with a nonchalantly delivered jab.
“Y’ were ruining my view with y’r ugly crying face.”
And somehow, you had let him convince you to use him to make your ex jealous, to show him what he was missing out on.
Now you, the girl who never drank, never wore short skirts, never stayed out too late, followed every rule to the letter, is now sitting firmly on Toji’s lap, slotting in perfectly like a puzzle piece, at a frat party.
It’s like you’ve somehow ended up in an alternate universe or woke up in someone else’s body. Maybe you’re in a dream. Except the searing brand of a heavy hand on your bare thigh is disproving any of those theories.
“You enjoying yourself?” His voice is low and gruff, you feel it vibrate against your body, lulling you into a sense of comfort. The rough denim of his jeans is warming your skin, his solid chest keeps you grounded, and his thick arms have you all wrapped up, balanced securely and protected from the night air.
You nod, head buried in the crook of his neck. Once in a while you inhale his musky aftershave, relishing in that freshly showered scent he always had. “My sources say Gojo throws a party at least once a week.”
“Guy likes to party,” is all he says.
There have been flashes of his white hair around the large house, disappearing among the crowds and into different rooms. He had greeted you when you first walked into the garden to make your way to Toji with a beer in hand like your partner in crime had instructed you.
Gojo was nice, very friendly, a little loud, but you knew that already. As the writer for the gossip column, you know every thing there was to know about everyone worth knowing. Which is ironic since you’re nobody and you knew none of these people personally. But the frat president knew you. He had greeted you like you were long time friends and pulled you into a tight hug.
“Hey, look who it is! My favourite person in the world.” He slung an arm over your shoulders and cheered with everyone else, seemingly oblivious to the heat rising on your face. “Thanks again for putting me top of the List. Nice to know people have taste.”
And then Toji was grumbling and wrestling you out of the rowdy guy’s grip to a quieter part of the house. He told you to explore the place, get familiar, freshen up your makeup ‘or whatever else chicks need’, and to text him if you find your ex first.
Now, here you are, making yourself comfortable on his thighs, goosebumps rising along your skin at the feel of his long fingers creeping up your leg and just teasing the hem of your ridiculously short skirt.
Some people would come over, once in a while, to talk to Toji. They’d say hi to you but they were mostly interested in knowing how the captain feels about the upcoming games. A few girls would stumble over, giggling and twirling their hair but they leave pretty quickly once they see Toji’s eyes fixated on you.
You have got to give him credit; he’s totally committed to the bit.
Perhaps a little too committed with how he’d frequently whisper right in your ear, warm breath trickling your neck.
“You look damn good tonight, ma.”
The way he says it, the low groan that he teases you with, makes you press your thighs together. It’s a completely inappropriate reaction; you really should not be feeling tingly from his flirtations. He doesn’t mean them. Toji is just playing the part, trying to goad your ex into a fight so he can ‘ruin the vibe’ at Gojo’s party.
Because, for whatever reason, Toji had beef with the man that seemed completely one-sided, if the hug the frat president tried to throw to the basketball captain was anything to go by.
You stutter out a ‘thanks’ and ignore the heat rising to your cheeks.
Toji huffs a laugh, tightening his hold on you before he leans back in the patio chair, taking you with him so you’re resting on him. Your skirt’s definitely ridden up your ass by now, but his large hand wraps around the flesh there like second nature.
Despite the chill in the garden, you’re content in his arms. The man runs hot.
It’s easy to get lost in his body; the man is built like a Greek god, all muscle and strength, carved straight from marble. And it’s precisely because he’s so firm and hard beneath you, that you forget your ex is just a couple metres away, leaning against a brick wall with a red cup in hand, glaring at you two.
“Dunno why Gojo let that guy into the frat when he’s so fucking ugly,” Toji grumbles.
You laugh.
Once upon a time, you thought you were lucky to be with him. That he was the catch and you were punching up; he certainly made you feel that way. Always reminding you that he could have any girl on campus, that the barista at your local coffee shop had given him her number with a smiley face, and that as a member of one of the most influential fraternities in the country, he could have any job he wanted.
But as you throw a glance at him, you realise all of that was false bravado. A Napoleon Complex, most likely.
And not once, since Toji picked you up, have you felt less than. He compliments you so frequently, so spontaneously, and so earnestly you can’t help but believe him.
“Why do you hate Gojo, by the way?”
The captain glances down at you, a slow smirk emerging on his face and you gulp at the sight of that scar stretching. You want to know more about it, simply because you’re a journalist, it’s in your nature to be inquisitive, and definitely not because you want to trace the skin there whilst feeling his voice rumble through his body and into yours.
With a shrug, he lifts his beer to his lips, and admits, “Don’t really hate the guy. Just wanna knock him down a peg or two.”
“I stalked Gojo for about two weeks just for a statement one time, y’know.” You stare at the people hooting and hollering over a table of beer pong, watching their jumping bodies, so light, so free like there isn’t a whole world of problems beyond the frat house’s territory. “When I finally cornered him after his lecture, he laughed and said I didn’t have to do all of that. I could have just texted him.”
Toji huffs an amused laugh. “That’s what’s annoying ‘bout the guy. He’s nice. Real fucking nice. But — and this is off the record, doll — guy’s got problems. And yet he’s always smiling. Just pisses me off, sometimes.”
And to that you just nod. You get it. There are some people out there who just seem to have it all, and you resent them for it, but they never hold it against you, and you resent them even more.
“How did you become friends with him anyways?”
“Just kinda happened.”
If you have to hazard a guess, you’d probably say it happened through the fact that they all run in the same circle. Big personalities like him and Gojo and Sukuna, are hard to miss. They’re the kind of people want to be around. Everyone knows Sukuna and Toji have been roommates since first year, allocated on a random basis at first, and they hit it off instantly, opting to room together since then.
With a sweep of the backyard, you enquire, “Where is Sukuna?”
“Somewhere, I’m sure. Guy doesn’t really like parties, actually.”
You gasp. “But my sources say he attends most of them.”
Toji places the bottle in your lap and you cradle it like it’s a treasure. He runs a hand through his hair and leans his head back with his eyes closed like he’s soaking up the moon’s rays. Earlier, you had told him you felt bad you were holding him back from enjoying his night, but he just patted your ass and said ‘it’s good to slow down, sometimes.’
“He does, but I think guy just likes to know all the drama. Likes to cause them too, the prick.”
You poke his chest. “Sounds like someone I know.”
He peeks at you with one eye, small grin on his lips.
“We’re a match made in heaven, doll.”
The conversation fades and you just rest your head on his chest, listening to the steady thumping of his heart and desperately trying to ignore the shiver that threatens to wrack up your spine with the graze of his thumb against that sliver of skin between your skirt and top.
Toji’s holding you like he’s been holding you since the dawn of time. There’s no awkwardness, no uncomfortable shuffles to accommodate your weight, and he doesn’t even look the least bit bothered that sometimes people will point and whisper at the star basketball player and some nobody cuddling up in the corner on a swinging bench.
You sense movement in the corner of your eye and spot a girl cozying up to your ex. He looks at you with a smug face.
“How did you know my ex would care?”
You stifle a gasp from the sudden clench of his hand over your waist. It was forceful but gentle, invoking flashing images of him towering over you, wrangling you into position. He could easily bend you over and take what he wanted. Toji is big and muscular, yes, but he’s also an athlete. There’s no doubt in your mind that he has the stamina and endurance to go all night and not break a sweat.
Shaking your head slightly, you bring the beer to your lips absentmindedly, taking a swig that leaves you blanching. How anyone could drink this, you’d never know.
“No guy wouldn’t care that his ex moved on pretty quickly. Plus, insecure little shits like him need to think that they got the better end of the deal. He needs to know you’re all sad and stupid over him so he feels important.”
Wise words.
It surprises you slightly.
Of course, most students at Eden are smart — being one of the top universities in the world means having high standards. But no one would ever go to a frat-party attending jock for advice, much less dating advice, and expect insightful revelations. You feel guilty for underestimating Toji. He’s actually pretty smart.
“Look, he’s got a girl on his arm and yet he keeps looking at you.”
It’s true.
You can feel his leery gaze sweeping up and down your body, and it makes you want to throw up. So you shuffle closer to Toji, impossibly closer, and he lets you.
“You look hot, doll. Just gotta own it, yeah?” His breath fans over you and it sets your skin ablaze. One hand rubs at your thigh, relishing in the soft, smooth skin and the other is gripping your hip. And beneath you, there’s something you’ve been giving your best shot constantly to pretend isn’t there.
Toji Fushiguro is hard.
And big, by the feel of it.
You already knew that, of course. You get lots of anonymous tips through your ‘Insider’s Line’, as you like to call it, voicing in exhilarated pants about recent escapades. It’s a hotline anyone could call. You’re the only person who has access to the voicemails that get left behind. And it’s never usually a tedious process to sift through the prank calls and the boring confessions to get to the juicy details about the ongoings on campus.
Many of those voicemails are to do with Toji. Whether that was about how he ‘so hot’ they could just ‘die or, like, combust’ or variations of ‘oh my god, that dick is fire, for real.’
You are not a prude.
You have too much exposure to much more graphic descriptions of people’s adventures to be shy about sex, not to mention, you’re an adult. A virgin, but still an adult with friends who are not shy about their sex lives, to put it mildly. In fact, you’ve got a certain art student friend who loves to rant all the ways she’d like a certain vandal to ‘paint’ her with his ‘artistic essence.’
Whatever that means.
And yet, despite all your pieces on the wildest, most inappropriate topics like ‘the hottest sex position right now’ and ‘is six inches really enough?’, you find yourself blushing at the realisation that the captain of the basketball team is sporting a boner that he doesn’t care to hide.
You clear your throat and with a whisper, you say, “I hope I’m not making you…uncomfortable.”
You wince at the awkward wording. What are you? A child?
Toji grunts.
“You referring to my boner, ma?” When you nod embarrassed, he taps your thigh with two fingers. “It’s your fault so you gonna lend a hand or what?”
If he was anyone else, literally anyone else, you’d be outraged. No man should talk to a lady like that and insinuate that they have a responsibility over someone else’s bodily reactions. It’s backwards and uncouth!
But…
Toji Fushiguro is not anyone else.
You know he’s joking; he doesn’t seem to have any qualms in making stupid jokes with you because he knows you write filthier things. He’s tested your boundary many times in the past couple days and you’ve grown accustomed to his humour.
And even if he isn’t joking, you have no problems with taking the opportunity.
You shouldn’t.
You just got broken up with the other day and it’s unwise to get personally involved with a person you write so frequently about. Bias must not be tolerated is your mantra.
Yet, your thighs are pressed tightly together, your nipples are poking through your top and you know he can see them, and if you were to slide a hand between your legs, you’d likely find wetness that is unbecoming of a lady.
Wait.
Among hundreds of voicemails, didn’t you receive one about how a guys likes girls sitting on his lap so he could feel their pussy?
Can Toji feel your pussy clenching, moistening and fluttering on his thigh?
You tilt your head up with a panic and you’re aghast. He’s already looking down at you with a challenging raise of his brow and a smirk playing on his lip. He knows what you’re thinking and he sees the question in your eyes.
Toji flexes his thigh in an answer, pressing it harder against you, and the friction is delectable. It leaves you reeling, hand clutching his chest for stability. His arms tighten around you, and he’s sitting up, no longer lazily lounging, but now drawing closer, muscles tense despite his calm expression. Green eyes flicker up and down your face, settling on your lips with a hunger you surely match. You’re entranced. He smells clean and fresh with a hint of something burnt, a maturity you want to explore. His scent is filling your head, washing away the smell of cheap liquor and weed.
Then, a foghorn like whoop pierces the mist.
Some guy had climbed the balcony and is threatening to jump into the empty pool. Everyone crowds around, laughing and cheering.
The moment is lost between you and your new friend, but he doesn’t let you up. In fact, he isn’t even looking at the idiot — not like you are, thinking about piece you could write about party culture — but rather at his stupid roommate, who stands on the other balcony, leaning against the railing as he looks on at everyone in disgust.
Perhaps it’s the sheer fact that they’ve been friends for a while, and so he knows Sukuna’s inclination for inciting violence and general nonsensical behaviour for his own sick satisfaction, that makes Toji so damn sure this is his doing. Or maybe it’s the fact that he knows his roommate has developed a fascination with pushing a certain someone’s buttons.
And when his phone pings and he receives a text from his pink-haired teammate, he knows it’s both.
If the fucker stains Gojo’s pool with his blood, you think he’ll complain to the Prez?
Toji doesn’t bother answering, he just pockets his phone again with a tsk. He’s totally gonna hide the guy’s car keys in retaliation later for ruining his moment. He was so close to getting a taste of a certain gossip columnist and the opportunity was gone and excusing herself to go inside for a blanket.
When she disappears from sight, weaving through the crowd still egging the loser on, the captain groans into the sky, squeezing his throbbing cock to adjust it. It’s gonna be a long night, he thinks, but then smiles to himself when he notices your dumbass ex still glaring with as much hate as the little guy can muster, and he knows he saw the whole thing.
Now, all he can think about is you returning as quickly as possible so he can pick up where he left off. He’s gonna push all three of you as far as possible tonight: the ex will know he’ll never be man enough for a woman like you and that’s why he couldn’t get you wet; you’ll learn to let go, trust the pleasure and embrace it; and Toji?
Well, Toji’s gonna learn that the quietest girls are usually the ones with the most to say.

Neglected!Pregnant!Reader x Yandere!Bat Family Part Three
☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
Part One ☁️ Part Two ☁️
☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
A/N: Sorry for the delay. My motivation fled for a bit and exhaustion hit me hard right before thanksgiving. I had to buckle down and just finish this.
A/N: I really wanna answer all my ask, there’s some things in there that y’all have sent me that I want to do for an AU of this. There’s just so many ideas I wanna try.
☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
Warnings: Yandere themes, possible non-con (I only say possible, because Reader was drunk when consenting), fem!reader, possible violence towards Jason, my own made up headcanons.
☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
When you told Stephanie you were going to find out the gender of your little bean, you weren’t exactly surprised she wanted to have a gender reveal party. Though you did talk her out of the party aspect. You loved your friends, but you hadn’t told them about your pregnancy. Mostly because you knew they’d either accidentally spill the beans about said bean to someone they shouldn’t or they’d freak out and pester you about the unknown father.
It’s a shame you can only faintly remember dark hair, loving touches, and the heat from that night. You’d like to at least thank the man for giving you such gift. Even if said gift was making you throw up nearly every morning, constantly tired, and craving the oddest things with heartburn to follow.
Overall, things were going.
That was it. Things where just going. You were still looking for an apartment, but you were getting sidetracked a bit by nurseries. You knew you would love your child regardless of what they are or who they are. But, the little swan lake nursery was precious and the air plane nursery was darling. Both made you cry and change your mind on apartments at least six times. Hormones did not help with house hunting.
But, the day came. You went to your ultrasound and had them put the gender in an envelop to give to Stephanie for her to plan your day. You had to fight yourself from peaking at the paper, but, still, you waited the three extra days until you would find out the big reveal.
Unfortunately, Jason fucking ruined it.
☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
Jason had been poking around the fridge. It was common for him to dig around the manor for food when he was there. Bruce was rich and groceries were expensive. (If he was looking for some of the princess’s cooking? That was his business.) But, he spotted something that stood out from the usual expensive organic fruits and vegetables and occasional meat.
“Hey, Alfred. Why is there a small cake in the fridge?" He could tell from the packaging it was from some fancy bakery. Probably one on the shiny posh side of Gotham. Which meant it would either taste like overpriced shit or absolutely delectable.
"That would be the young Miss's. I believe Miss Brown purchased it as a surprise." Alfred had replied from where he was currently taking inventory of the pantry. Maintaining a well supplied stock of the after mission snacks to proper management after all. Still, he did eye Jason from where he stood with his note pad. Knowing that Jason had a slight habit of causing trouble.
"Those two have been really close lately." Jason muttered suspiciously, mentally debating on if the cake was worth it or not with Alfred watching him.
"Dick is right. You really are starting to sound like Bruce." Duke and Cassandra had been sitting at the counter. Duke, having just gotten off patrol, had been in the kitchen to refill his water. While Cass had been munching on some snacks that she had hidden from the rest of them.
"Can it, light bulb." Came Jason's snarky voice as he silently popped the lid on the much to fancy cake open and pulled it out of the fridge. Alfred to far across the kitchen to stop him. "You know… This is a pretty big cake…"
"Jason, no." Even Duke knew it was a bad idea. If you had just gotten bold enough to through tubberware at Jason, God only knew what you might do if he ate a gift you'd been given. Plus, Steph would be on everyone’s ass for it. She was stingy with her money and everyone could tell she splurged for that cake.
"I would advise against that, Master Jason. Miss Brown already informed the young Miss of the cake and I believe that they wanted to have the first slices when they got back from their outing." Alfred knew you would happily share the cake, but, while he wanted to defend your sugary gift, he knew that that cake had a secret and for once Alfred couldn't restrain himself from wanting to be the first to discover it.
That drew both Cassandra and Duke's attentions away from the crime that was about to be committed. Both curious. The two of you really had gotten close. Cass only slightly tilted her head in curiosity while Duke had been the one to speak.
"Oh, they went out?"
"For pedicures, I was told. They are due to arrive back here shortly. "
"Well, if you wait, they might- Jason! Seriously?!" Duke had looked back to watch Jason slice into the cake with a spare butter-knife. Thankfully with enough finesse to not completely ruin your cake.
"What? The princess can share her damn cake-" He defends himself, about to grab a fork when he notices Cass looking directly at Alfred. "Why are you looking at Alfred like that?"
When she says nothing, Duke and Jason look at the tearful expression of Alfred's face. "Alfie, what's wrong?"
It takes a moment for them to realize that those aren't tears of anger or sadness as Alfred tries to compose himself. It takes Duke a few seconds longer to look at the slice of cake to connect the dots with a swiftness that would put Tim's title as second greatest detective to shame.
However, the only words that stumble out of his mouth in his shock are, "Jason, that cake is blue."
"Yeah, I know. Which is weird, but it taste great. Steph picked something really fancy for princess’s taste." Jason says finally taking a bite. It was good, Steph picked a good bakery. Not as good as Princess's homemade goods, but good enough.
"NO! Jason, why would a cake be blue?" The realization of what exactly Jason just ruined filled Duke with panic. This was going to be so much worse than the tubberware if he was right. So much worse.
Even Cass was a bit confused about the massive deal with the cake. She was more interested in the joy she was reading off of Alfred since that cake had been cut. She'd never seen the man so giddy, despite the only sign of any change in him was the misty look in his eyes.
"I don't know- Oh, great. The princess has returned." The sound of excited footsteps were heard heading towards the kitchen while Duke looked at Jason with anxiousness. Even Alfred seemed to brace himself.
As soon as you and Stephanie walked in the smiles dropped from your faces.
"Jason…. Tell me you didn't…" Stephanie murmured as she glared as Jason. Inwardly, she was excited. She had guessed correctly and won her own personal bet with herself. But, she comfortingly put a hand on your arm as you stared at the blue cake you didn’t get to cut.
Just from your expression, Duke can tell he might have been right and starts looking at Jason with an expression that screams, ‘Plead for mercy, you idiot.’
Alfred, thankfully, had enough sense to come out of his joy the moment he watches you walk up to the counter and look down at the cake with a despondent expression. His words comforting as he tries to ease the budding tension. “I'm so sorry, young miss. But, on the bright side-"
"Oh, come on, princess. You and Steph weren’t going to be able eat it all. You can afford to share. Besides, you’ve been looking a little pudgy lately anyway. Really need to stop acting like you’re eating for two."
Everyone looks directly at Jason in horror at what he just said. Seeing the spark of rage in your eyes makes Alfred take a step back in caution and Cassandra warns an aghast Duke of what she sees about to go down.
“Duke, duck.”
“Where?” He says in terrified confusion before suddenly your cake is slammed directly into Jason’s face with your hands coated in frosting.
"OH SHIT!”
"MISS!"
"Are you fucking crazy?" Jason stumbles back from the velocity of the cake to his face while he tries to wipe the buttercream from his eyes as you start berating him. Throwing everything in reaching distance at him. The bowl of fruit on the counter, the snacks Cass had been eating, even a pot from the stove.
"You ruined it! You ruined it! Alfred, where's the cast iron? I'm about to knock the dumbass outta him.” You start looking for something heavy, moving to dig through the cabinets with sugary fingers that are shaking with anger.
“About time someone did…” Stephanie mutters while she hides behind the counter to hide from the onslaught.
Before you can complete your search, Jason reveals just how well he preforms under pressure. Realizing a little too late what he might have just right when your hands find the cast iron skillet and your taking a swing at him.
"Wait! Wait! I'm sorry!" He barely dodged the hit with the sudden click of the information settling into his brain.
"You about to be sorry! This is the last straw, asshole. You fuckin' ruined it." You go to take another swing at him, nearly slipping in some frosting.
Jason’s eyes go wide before he risk a skillet to the face to catch you.
"You're right! I- Put that down, you're going to hurt yourself." He struggles to pull the pan from your sticky grip, not wanting to hurt you. This isn’t something he imagined having to use all his skills and talents for, but he thanks fuck he has them.
"Don't you tell me what to fuckin' do." You snarl while trying to hit him in the throat with your fist, causing him to almost let you slip.
"Jason!" Duke shouts out, knowing how bad it’ll be if you fall.
Jason tightens his grasp on you to the point your practically immobile, trying to calm you down with apologies and a panicked tone.
"Look, I'm sorry! I didn't realize-"
"That doesn't excuse you acting like a dick." You hiss, causing him to go silent as he tries to figure out how to fix this situation.
"You're right. It doesn't. But…" he trails off, leading to an awkward moment of silence
"Dude, you suck at this." Duke says before popping his head over the counter now that the cake and kitchen utensils have ceased to be airborne. Stephanie popping up next to him to give Jason an icy glare of her own while Cass stares at her ruined snacks. Alfred sighing as he runs the bridge of his nose from the similarities between old memories and the current scenario in the kitchen.
"Shut up, twinkle twinkle." He snarls before looking down a very pissed and most likely very pregnant you with a wince. "I… I know I'm a jackass."
"Astute observation, Master Jason." Alfred mutters while he behind to search for some cleaning supplies for the buttercream incident.
"Damn, Alfred's roasting you." Duke quickly shuts up when Jason gives him a lethal glare despite your futile attempts a wiggling out of his grasp. "Shutting up now."
Eventually you stop struggling, heaving in exhaustion and pitifully fighting back tears at your ruined gender reveal.
"I… Shouldn't be acting like a such an asshole. To you, specifically. You don't deserve that and I'm sorry." Jason tries as soon as he sees your lower lip start to wobble. He knows he’s prickly, but this is a new low that he’s not proud of.
"Now, you wanna apologize?" You’re honestly too emotional to deal with this. But, it’s the fact that he’s actually trying to give a meaningful apology when hardly anyone else does that makes you listen. Even if you’re mentally tearing him to shreds with your teary eyes.
"Yes. Now, I want to apologize." He sighs, putting you down. It’s quite a sit. Him not only apologizing, but him also doing it covered in white frosting and blue cake crumbs. "I'm… I'm not going to give you a bunch of excuses. I'm a jerk. But, I'm not heartless. I took this too far."
"You took it too far when you ate my frickin' fried cornbread." Comes your deadpan tone as you cross your arms. The fabric of your hoodie moving slightly to reveal the faintest of baby bumps.
"You're still mad about- You know what, fair enough. Don't eat the pregnant chick's food. Lesson learned." He starts to say exasperatedly before changing course at your stare and realizing he needed to suck it up.
“But, in my defense, it was really good.” He pipes off quickly, as an appeasing compliment.
Judging from the way your eyes further narrow and the reigning silence, he can tell he missed the mark.
Instead he tries to change course.
"Listen, I know this won't make up for it, but… I did see some vintage baby stuff in the attic when I snooped up there once."
"Oh, you found Master Bruce's old thing." Alfred exclaims with slightly raised brows. Coming back with Clorox wipes and all sorts of other supplies for the mess you had made. (He blames Jason, however. Don’t fret, dear one.)
"Wait, pause. Did you say those were Bruce's old baby clothes?"
"Yes, Master Jason.”
“I thought those were little girl’s baby dress. They looked like something a goth Victorian child mixed with a pilgrim would wear."
“I assure you they are Master Bruce’s.”
Everyone suddenly has a collective thought and a mighty need. Cake forgotten momentarily.
"Alfred, are there pictures of him in those clothes?" You ask with barely contained mischief, all anger and sadness gone as delight fills you. Mood swings could be such a blessing and a curse.
“Why, I do believe so.” There was a hint of knowing in Alfred's tone. One that also was finding delight in the idea he knew was passing through everyone's minds.
Immediately, and with renewed vigor, your head whips to Jason.
"Help me find the pictures and get me some Jokerized fries-."
"And, throw in a foot massage." Stephanie adds before you can finish. The suggestion causing Jason's eyes to widen while Duke shudders.
"What?!"
“Eww.”
"I kinda don't want him touching my feet. Too weird." You say. Even if they do ache often your not sure you really want the guy who had made your life hell before touching you so much. Even if he was apologetic.
“Oh, thank god.” He mutters under his breath before Stephanie speaks up again.
"Then let me have one. I bought the cake and I was looking forward to it. I had to fight the temptation not to spoil the surprise."
"I feel like that was a pun." Duke mutters.
"It wasn't."
A lighter tone settles over the kitchen as Alfred starts to clean. You tried to help, feeling embarrassment at having made such a mess. But, everyone else had stepped in to pick up the slack on account for your condition as Duke called it.
"Did you ever figure it out, Cass?" You asked curiously as you sat at the counter. A bit surprised that she hadn't disappeared as soon as the whole things had started. You both had always been cordial with each other. However, you knew she preferred to be alone at times. Hence, your lack of interaction. You had assumed she would have fled by now.
"Thought you had a stomach bug. Not a baby. This is better." Comes her short response. There's a subtle hint of wonder on her face. She's gotten better at sharing her feelings with other's so it's nice to see such an expression.
"Am I the only one terrified of how calm she is after she just threw an entire cake at Jason and was about to cast iron him?" Duke says while he finishes wiping the frosting from the skillet you had wielded earlier. The question causes Alfred to chuckle when you give Duke a narrowed look yourself.
"I remember Miss Martha throwing a chair at Master Thomas when she was pregnant with Master Bruce, so this, I dare say, is quite tame."
That comment makes more than a few eyebrows to raise and Jason to let out a whistle, while also realizing that is could've been worse for him in the long run.
"Why'd she do that?"
"Bruce decided to grace the world with his presence in the middle of the night."
"Ha!"
"I always knew he had been more in the dark."
Snickers could be heard before Alfred continued to explain. It was rare he got to share such stories.
"And, Thomas made the foolish mistake of asking her if she could hold Bruce in until a more reasonable hour."
"Alfred, he was a doctor." Stephanie points out.
"In his defense. Neither had slept for that entire week from the anticipation of Master Bruce’s arrival. But, really should have kept quiet on the matter. We would still have that lovely cherry wood chair if he had."
A round of laughter could be heard. You had laughed so hard that there were tears in your eyes as you giggled your way up to the attic.
Things had been ruined, but things had gotten better. If only they could stay better.
Down in the Batcave, Tim had gotten a message in between a few of the cases he was currently working on.
"Jon and I will stop by tomorrow, my dude." He read while taking a sip of this third energy drink for that afternoon. He only nodded in acknowledgment before going back to his work.
Elsewhere, on the Kent family farm, Conner grinned excitedly at his phone before tucking it away and stretching. He'd be seeing his favorite person tomorrow. Hopefully when they saw him they'd remember the best night of their life. It was definitely his.
☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
A/N: As funny it would be to have Conner just be a sweet goof, I want him to be yandere for this. I struggled to include that last part to show it, but hopefully it works.
A/N: Also, this is the calm before the storm. I kinda wanna try to make it angsty next chapter. And, not gonna lie, it might be brutal. But, I wanna challenge myself so when I make an AU I can do a good job on it.
A/N: Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll! I had been planning on a girl for Reader, so I was a bit surprised. Might save that for the AU. Time to name pick, and if y’all want y’all can suggest nurseries. Can’t guarantee we’ll do polls for them, but it’ll still be fun.

— fem!reader, mention of reader’s hair, suggestive content
Tumblr media
the dim light in the room flickered, casting shadows over JASON TODD as he sat on the edge of his bed, shirt discarded. the bandages you’d carefully applied still clung to his body like the second skin, a reminder of the fight he’d just gone through. you were standing between his strong thighs, soft hands hovering slightly over his scarred chest, fingers shaking as you adjusted the last of the bandages.
“you’re done,” you mumbled softly into the room, stepping back to clean up the mess, but his hand shot out, taking your wrist into his hold and pulling you back closer to his warmth.
“stay.”
his voice was all hoarse and his eyes dark with something you couldn’t quite place a name to.
you hesitated, heart racing against the bones of your ribs, but then his thumb gently stroked over the back of your hand, grounding you. the touch was too soft for someone like him. the callousness of his skin calmed you down. slowly, his hand traveled all the way down the valley of your spine to rest against the curve of your back, sending sparks of heat through you.
“jason,” the whisper of his name slipped past your lips, but he silenced you with a kiss, warm and soft at first, as if testing the waters he was supposed to drown in.
his hands moved as if burned, one sliding into your hair at the base of your neck and pulling you even closer than before, while the other found the small of your back and pressed you straight against his body. the contrast of his defined muscles and the softness of your curves sent your head into a dizzy state.
the grip he had on you tightened, and his lips parted against yours, deepening the kiss, moving with growing urgency. if he could, he’d bottle up the sounds you were making and cherish them for the rest of his life. oh, how he wished it was possible. his hand slid up your side, calloused thumb brushing the skin under the hem of your shirt. you responded by running your hands along his chest, feeling the heat of his skin and the roughness of his scars beneath your fingertips.
“you’re killing me here, baby,” he mumbled against the skin of your neck as he moved slowly down. sharp teeth scraped lightly along the path, sending shivers down your blood.
your hands tangled in the soft locks of his hair, pulling him back to kiss him again, this time with more desperation, more need, as if you both knew you couldn’t stop now. his lips moved against yours like he was marking you, claiming you, and you melted into him, giving in to the pull of his touch.
he’d let you crawl inside his body, find him where he’s mostly ruined and let you decide if he’s worth the love.

BAKUGOU KATSUKI ⭑.ᐟ THE FIRST FALL OF SNOW
Tumblr media
Pro Hero Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight in the public’s eye, is finally on his way home. The moment he clocked out, he was Bakugou Katsuki.
The apartment door swung open, and Bakugou trudged inside, every step weighed down by the exhaustion of the day. His back ached from the relentless action-packed hours at work (somehow, during the holidays, villains were at their peak action), and the chill of winter clung to his skin, even through the layers of his winter gear earlier. He’d been looking forward to collapsing onto the bed and shutting the world out for the rest of the night.
He let out a grunt of frustration, yanking his scarf off as he called out, “I’m home.”
Bakugou was greeted by your voice. Too chipper, as if you had something planned.
“Perfect timing! Go change into something warm; we’re going out!” you said, a spark of excitement lighting up your tired features. You had on your favorite scarf and coat, your cheeks flushed from the cold air that must’ve blown in while you’d been waiting for him.
Katsuki frowned, rubbing the back of his neck. “You’re kidding, right? It’s freezing, and I just got home.”
“I’m not kidding.” Your smile widened, undeterred by your husband’s gruffness. “You need to relax, and I need to check out the sale on the market. We’re going downtown, just for a little bit. Please?”
“No,” he scoffs.
“Come on, Katsuki,” you pleaded. “You’re always working, and I’ve been stuck inside all day. Just a quick trip downtown to relax. Please?” You pouted slightly as you repeated the request, though your tone remained playful, knowing it would chip away at his defenses.
“Can’t we relax here? You know, like normal people?”
“Normal is boring. We can relax after we go out and see the town. Please? I’ll make dinner when we get back!”
Dammit, you knew how to pull at his strings.
Katsuki groaned, tugging at the tight fabric of his jacket. He hated the cold, hated the thought of walking around aimlessly in weather that bit at his skin. But as he looked at you—your hopeful expression, the way your eyes sparkled with the promise of something simple yet special—he sighed, already knowing he couldn’t refuse.
Knowing he’d already lost, he crossed his arms. He’d always had a soft spot for you (you must’ve put a curse on him once he gave you his valid “I do” at the altar, he thinks), and no amount of exhaustion could override the tug in his chest when you looked at him like that.
“Fine,” he grumbled. “But you’re carrying the hot chocolate if we get any.”
Your grin was instant, and you tugged at his arm. “Deal. Now hurry up and get dressed into something warmer before I change my mind.”
---
The streets of Musutafu were already in the holiday spirit, and it was only the first of December. The glow of streetlights reflected off frosted windows, and the faint scent of roasted chestnuts wafted through the air—it was a scent to appreciate. Katsuki’s hands were stuffed deep in his pockets, his scarf pulled high over his face, as he grumbled every so often about the cold or his aching shoulders.
“This better be worth it,” he grumbled, kicking a stray piece of ice off the sidewalk.
“It is worth it,” you countered, practically skipping beside him. “You’ve been so stressed lately, and this is exactly what you need—some fresh air and a change of scenery.”
“I’d rather have fresh air from our bedroom.”
You shot him a playful glare. “You’re impossible.”
“Yeah, and you’re a pain,” he shot back, though his lips twitched upward just slightly.
It’s also a good thing that not many were wanting his autograph or a picture because Bakugou was not in the mood to entertain anyone aside from you.
You led him to a small square near the center of town, where festive decorations were strung across trees and lampposts. Children bundled up in cute, thick winter clothes ran around as their fits of giggles filled the air, and vendors sold warm snacks and drinks from cozy stalls. You tugged him toward one of the benches, your excitement bubbling over.
“Look at this place! Isn’t it beautiful?”
Bakugou looked around, taking in the bustling scene. He begrudgingly admitted to himself that it wasn’t half bad—but he’d never say it out loud. Instead, he just shrugged. “It’s alright.”
You rolled your eyes. “You’re impossible to impress.”
“Not true,” he said, smirking slightly. “You impressed me.”
“Ok, sap,” you snorted, though you were quick to hide how it made you feel all giddy. “And did you know that—”
And Bakugou could only listen to you with his brows slightly knitted to an unamused expression, though he didn’t want to burst your bubble even if he was exhausted.
Without even noticing at first, the first snowflake fell, soft and delicate, landing on your scarf. You stopped mid-sentence, glancing up as more began to drift down, tiny, icy kisses from the sky. Bakugou paused too, his eyes narrowing as a flake landed on his nose.
“It’s snowing,” you murmured, a note of wonder in your voice.
Katsuki squinted up at the sky, unimpressed. “Great. Now it’s even colder.”
You ignored him, stepping slightly into the open square, your head tilted back as you let the snowflakes land on your hair and cheeks. Your face lit up with childlike wonder, and for a moment, Bakugou was suddenly reminded how lucky he was to be married to you.
Bakugou watched you silently, his hands still stuffed in his pockets. You looked radiant, the soft glow of the snow reflecting off your skin, your cheeks flushed from the cold. Your lips parted slightly as you caught a snowflake on your tongue, and you laughed softly at the sensation.
His chest tightened, his earlier complaints fading into nothing. The aches, the cold, his uncomfortable winter clothes—none of it mattered. All he saw was you.
You turned back to him, your smile warm and teasing. “You’re just going to stand there and sulk, or are you going to enjoy this with me?”
He huffed, walking toward you. “I’m not sulking,” he muttered.
“Sure, sure.” You reached out and grabbed his hand, lacing your fingers through his. “Come on, Katsuki. Isn’t this beautiful?”
He looked at you, at the way your eyes shimmered with glee, the way you smiled despite the cold nipping at their noses. “Yeah,” he said softly, surprising even himself. He’s most likely referring to you rather than the scene before him, more likely. “It is.”
“Wait, are you actually admitting you like something?”
“So? I like you, and we’re married. It’s not that shameful to admit the obvious, dummy.” He grumbled, though his hand tightened around yours.
“Not that! I meant it’s snowing; isn’t it beautiful?”
“Could care less about shaved ice falling from the sky.”
“Boo, you’re no fun,” you stuck your tongue out at him, and Bakugou did the same, which made you laugh.
You two stood there for a while, watching the snow fall around you, the rest of the world fading into the background. For once, Bakugou wasn’t thinking about work, stress, or anything else. All he could focus on was the woman beside him and how, for the first time in a long time, everything felt just right.
And even though Bakugou still hated the cold, he found himself thinking that maybe, just maybe, winter wasn’t so bad after all—because it meant moments like this. Moments with you.
It must’ve been Christmas magic to see you during the first fall of snow, taking his breath away with how you looked, and he wouldn’t trade it for anything this damned world had to offer.

Got a request: Arcane characters x Noxian deserter reader. As in after the final battle, the reader leaves the army after seeing the wanton carnage and how the world almost ended there.
A/n: Hello!! Hope what I did has suited what you had in mind ^^
Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Ekko, Jayce, Viktor, Mel
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Vi
Vi doesn’t say much at first, but you can see the way her eyes soften when you tell her what you’ve left behind. She’s been there too, walking away from things that don’t sit right. "You don’t have to be that person anymore." The way she says it is gentle but firm, like she’s giving you permission to let go of the weight you’ve been carrying. She’ll help you rebuild, side by side.
Jinx
She’s all wild eyes and rapid-fire thoughts, but there’s something comforting in the chaos she offers you. "Leaving was the right thing, right? We’re rebels, remember?" She’ll pull you into her whirlwind world, but it’s clear—she’s not leaving you behind. She’s got her own demons, but she understands what it’s like to break free. The two of you might not have the answers, but you’ll face the future together.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn’s quiet, calculating—thinking about what this means for you, and how she can help. "I can’t pretend to know what you’ve been through, but I know you don’t have to carry this alone." She’ll make sure you have a safe place to land, even if it means putting herself at risk. She’ll never rush you, but she’ll be there when you’re ready to talk, ready to rebuild something better, together.
Ekko
Ekko’s got this way of making everything feel like it’s possible. He won’t judge, won’t force anything on you. He just wants to give you a reason to hope again. "You’ve got a second chance. Let’s use it—together." It’s his way of saying you’re not alone, that there’s a future ahead of you both, one where the past doesn’t dictate what you’re worth. He sees a way out, and he wants you to see it too.
Jayce
Jayce respects the hell out of the choice you’ve made, even if he doesn’t always understand it. He’s got this idealistic, almost naïve belief that anyone can start fresh, and he wants to help you with that. "You’ve done what you could with the cards you were given. Now, let’s make something better together." He’ll offer his resources, his time—anything to help you find a new path. He wants to believe in redemption, and he wants you to believe in it too.
Viktor
Viktor’s more of a quiet support. He understands the cost of war, the toll it takes, and he respects that you’ve chosen to leave that behind. "It’s not too late to build something new. You’re not the person you were." His words are calm but heavy with the weight of experience. He doesn’t rush you to move on, but he will give you the tools you need to rebuild yourself, and he’ll be there to help you do it.
Mel
Mel understands the quiet agony of leaving a past you can’t undo. She won’t push you to talk, but she’s there—steadfast. "You’ve chosen to be more than your past. Let’s build something different, together." Her support is the kind that wraps around you like a soft blanket. She’s not trying to fix everything, just offering a steady hand while you figure out what comes next. You’ll find peace with her by your side.

✏️ data science major!jeonghan x reader.
if there's one thing you've never been able to decode, it'd be your ex-boyfriend jeonghan ✶ part of my svt university milestone event

decoding the breakup

yoon jeonghan (est. 2024)

if (you still love them) { // remind yourself of why you broke up in the first place // date other people who don't even come close to them // bury yourself in schoolwork or literally anything else that will make you forget } else { // accept that you still have feelings }
if (you want them back) { // be annoying enough that you're always on their mind // reverse psychology them into thinking that they want you back // reference your relationship so they might want it back, too // hit them with the world's worst pickup lines so you can catch their attention } else { // keep on trying until you succeed }

confession time: running into you at what's supposed to be our spot was completely unintentional. that wasn't part of the bigger plan, of the grand scheme of things. that was just me trying to find some comfort in something familiar. in the quiet places where you once loved me. i'm a fool who likes to pretend, here and there, that our little corner of campus still remembers what it was like for us to be together.

if (they still hate you) { // accept it // settle for what you're given } else { // live for the hope of it all }

confession time, part two: i still love you. of course i do. why the hell would i be doing all this if i didn't? jun says love isn't a once-in-a-lifetime thing, but i beg to differ. at the risk of sounding like a bigger fool, i truly believe that i don't think i'll ever love anyone as much as i've loved you.

even mingyu has gotten his sequel. and he's asked me, time and time again, if that's something i want with you. some second chance romance, one that won't end with me being 'Maybe: Jeonghan' in your phone.

vernon will be the first to tell us both that the body doesn't lie. some bullshit about the heart knowing what it wants, about it not being good for us to deny our most basic instincts of what it truly wants. our friends don't know how to keep their opinions to themselves, unfortunately.

anyway. what matters are my thoughts, right?

and my only thought is that i love you. i loved you when we were together, and i love you even now. i loved you, and i was bad at it, and i will live the rest of my life wondering what i could have done differently. as it is, i'm worried that i'm still not good enough for you. that i'll make the same mistakes that i did back then.

i'm happy to just love you, if you'll let me. i'm happy to be petty, to make up all these terrible pick up lines. to make you smile and scoff and roll your eyes. i want to love you and to want nothing in return. not until i deserve it. not until i can finally, finally say i'm worth your time.

 please.

exactly! we are most desperate for what we lack, and most comfortable giving only what we know. from the very beginning, he has only ever known simulative safety within the confines of abuse. boundaries don't exist because there are no concepts of boundaries beyond societal performance. there is what the naked soul needs and the mask, and, for Armand, his naked soul is fractured and worn down over the anvils of time. he yearns for the manufactured idea of what he had, but he's grown enough to know what he yearns for 'isn't right'.
love is an open invitation to the soul, so it is also an open invitation to violate it. it is agreed upon vulnerability. but, it is always going to be inherently unequal because Armand is so much more powerful than most of the main characters. his survival tactic is to be small, but he yearns to be seen. his gut reaction to Marius' withholding is to throw a Lestat-level fit, but he isn't satisfied until he's beaten in relation for it. abuse rewires the brain, and complacency and lack of challenge allows misrouted neurosis to become comfortable. he's not going to change, because he has no concept of needing to change. he'll just put on a different mask, and that will make it all fine? if it doesn't, he can remove the memory or the concern, and that will make it all fine. if the people he cares about are fine, then he's fine, because his self-worth is based on how he serves others.
does it excuse what he does? no! but this is one of the most nuanced and representative characters in media right now, and as an abuse survivor who is on the spectrum, i spend a lot of time thinking about this. vampirism isn't real, but the grooming, physical and psychological abuse, and the stagnation of change or healing are all very real to a lot of people.
ok but I genuinely think that Armand believes earnestly that he is doing something good, not just good but necessary, when he erases someone’s memory. I think in Armand’s mind, leaving Louis or Daniel with the memory of suffering when he could have otherwise alleviated them of it by removing it would be the real cruelty. Armand is a person who remembers barely anything clear of his entire life, the only fragments that remain of his suffering still manage to torture him. Of course, from his perspective, cutting out the traumatic memory is a protection, not a violation. Armand has a warped view of what a violation even is. Armand feels most cared for when he is being violated. the line between what is taking care of someone and what is violating their autonomy barely exists for him.

Timebomb but I don’t think of smut or making out while they’re alone in Jinx’s room. I think of soft touches while they’re down there. The small way that Ekko uses the back of his finger to remove any of her runny makeup. Tracing his fingers along her cheek and cupping her face. Jinx looks at him with half lidded eyes, her hand on his wrist and she just pushes into it a little. She can feel herself getting more tired as the seconds pass, yet she wants to feel this just for another minute, maybe eternity. Being held so gently like she’s something worth protecting.
I think that after Ekko’s fixed Jinx up, they take a long nap. Ekko doesn’t feel it but he’s tired too, Jinx is wrapped up just about to sleep while Ekko claims he has something to do and she just mumbles the quietest “don’t leave me.” And he swears he feels his heart drop. He sits down next to her, and for a moment he contemplates laying down next to her just to look over her resting face. But he doesn’t, instead he sits down next to her, close enough for her to see and touch him. She reaches out for him, “there’s enough room for two people” Ekko’s not even sure what facial expression she had when she said that since he just felt all the heat rush to his head when she said it. He’s tempted to mumble an excuse, but he doesn’t. Instead he repositions himself, they’re facing eachother and she’s in his arms. They’re tired and battered, losing everything except each other. And everything feels like a blur to Ekko, the girl in his arms doesn’t feel real, she seems like she’s going to slip away from him if he blinks, he feels like this moment is going to be lost to him if he closes his eyes. He holds her tight. Her heads pressed against his chest and this is the most closure she’s gotten in months. She doesn’t want him to ever let go.
I don’t think they kiss, I think Ekko tells Jinx about how they were in love in another universe, one where the world is kinder. He tells her how different she is, and Jinx feels like it’s impossible, yet there’s this strange yearning in his eyes when he speaks that makes it real for her. Ekko asks if she would’ve stayed in a universe where everything was better, everyone was alive and happy. (Mostly) and Jinx would shake her head, she wouldn’t trade the moments and people she’s loved here for the world, especially if Isha isn’t seemingly in it, which draws the conversation to Jinx and this little girl who was her world.
“You would’ve loved her y’know? She would’ve loved you.” She says softly, the ache in her tone when she speaks hurts. And Ekko can feel it.
“I bet I would’ve, I’m sorry I wasn’t here sooner.” He rests as hand on her back.
“It’s not your fault, you’re here now and that’s something right?” Jinx tries to reassure him, and Ekko smiles back.
“And I don’t plan to leave.” He says softly, not like last time.

Revenge - Frat!Rafe x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Masterlist
Summary: Your boyfriend cheated and you wanted revenge. Rafe was the first person you thought of to help you. You both had feelings for each other but never acted on them. Because of this he helped you in a heartbeat. Lights, camera, action.
REQUEST BASED OFF THIS ASK
Warnings: Smut - sex tape, riding, missionary, all 4s, cream pie, oral (both receiving)
You slammed the door to Rafe's fraternity house, your heart racing with a mixture of anger and humiliation. You had just discovered your boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend, was cheating on you by the girl he was seeing sending you all the texts and photos between them. Your world was spinning, and you didn't know how to process the betrayal.
As you stormed through the hallways, you spotted Rafe lounging in the common room with his fraternity brothers. Your eyes locked onto his, and you couldn't help but feel a strange sense of comfort in his presence. Rafe's laid-back demeanor and easy smile were a stark contrast to the turmoil brewing inside you.
You approached Rafe, your voice trembling with emotion. "Rafe, I need your help," you blurted out, your eyes welling up with tears. You grab him and pull him up to his room.
"My boyfriend’s been cheating on me." Rafe's expression turned sympathetic as he listened to your story. He reached out to brush your arm. You’ve both been great friends since starting school, he couldn't help but find you beautiful. Unknown to him, you had always found Rafe irresistible, but neither had the courage to act on your desires. You had your boyfriend from back home and normally he wouldn't care, but something about you, he wouldn't want to put you in that position.
"I want to teach him a lesson," you seethed, your anger surging to the surface, your words snap Rafe out of his thoughts.
“Huh?” Rafe looks at you sideways.
"We’re gonna make a sex tape and send it to him. It'll show him what he's missing out on." Rafe's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly recovered, a mischievous glint sparkling in his eyes.
"Alright," he said, a sly grin spreading across his face. "I'm in. But let's make it worth our while. We'll create a masterpiece, something that'll make him regret ever crossing you."
You smile big and let him know you'll be back later tonight. Rafe follows you down stairs as you leave and tell his brothers they have to get out for the night. Perks of being President, they don't need a reason. As you walk back to your apartment, you’re excited for the night. Not just for the thrilling revenge that's about to take place, but for who’s helping you. You never admitted to anyone how bad you wanted him. You felt obligated to stay with your ex since he was your first boyfriend and you were together since you were 14, and now you feel like an idiot for the loyalty.
You arrived back at the frat house in sweatpants and a hoodie. Together, you hatched a plan to create the ultimate revenge sex tape. Rafe never went into details about what he wanted to do, he only let you know that you could trust him to make it good. You stepped into his bathroom and came out in nothing but black lingerie. His jaw dropped at the sight of you. You stepped over to him picking up his jaw for him. He instinctively placed his hands on your waist rubbing them up and down but you stop him.
“The camera…”
“Right.” He chuckles standing up, moving one of his nightstand at the edge of the bed and standing the phone up. He takes off his shirt and stands in between your legs looking down at you as you are propped up on your elbows.
As you sat up, you couldn't help but admire Rafe's chiseled abs and the way his muscles rippled with every movement. You ran your fingernails down them and until you reached his pants. You unfastened his belt, the sound of the buckle releasing echoing through the room. Rafe's eyes locked onto yours as you continued to undress him.
You slid your hands inside his pants, feeling the warmth of his skin against your fingertips. Rafe's breath hitched as you gently guided his pants down his legs, exposing his erect cock to your eager eyes. He was huge. You couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement as you reached out to wrap your fingers around his girth.
Rafe's hands moved to your hair, pulling it into a ponytail to give the camera a better view. His fingers threading through the strands as he gently pulled you closer. You felt your lips brush against the tip of his shaft, the salty tang of pre-cum teasing your taste buds. You closed your eyes, savoring the moment as you took him into your mouth.
Rafe's hands tightened in your hair, his hips bucking gently as you moved up and down his length. You felt his pre-cum coat your tongue, the salty taste of him mingling with your saliva. You closed your eyes, losing yourself in the sensation of his hardness filling your mouth.
You explored every inch of him, your tongue darting out to caress the sensitive skin beneath the head of his penis. Rafe's moans grew louder, his breathing ragged as he struggled to contain his pleasure. You felt his hands tighten in your hair once more, guiding you as you continued to pleasure him.
The camera continued to roll, capturing every moment of your intimate encounter. You had already forgotten about the camera 2 minutes in. You and Rafe were lost in the moment, your desires colliding in a fiery explosion of lust and retribution
As you continued to suck and lick, you felt Rafe's body tense, his hips bucking harder against your mouth. You could feel his orgasm building, the tension coiling within him like a spring ready to snap.
And then, it happened. Rafe's body shuddered, his orgasm ripping through him as he spilled his release into your mouth. You swallowed every drop, savoring the taste of him as he continued to pulse against your tongue.
When he finally stilled, you released him from your mouth, your lips glistening with his essence. Rafe's eyes locked onto yours, his gaze burning with desire as he pulled you close, his lips crushing down on yours in a passionate kiss. But the night was far from over.
As you lay down on the bed, Rafe's eyes were dark and full of hunger. He moved to kneel between your legs, pulling your panties down and off, his hands gently moving your thighs over his shoulders. You felt your legs spread wide, your pussy exposed and vulnerable to his gaze.
Rafe's hands moved to your inner thighs, his fingers tracing the sensitive skin with gentle caresses. You felt your breath catch in your throat as he leaned in, his hot breath warming your most intimate areas.
His tongue darted out, licking a slow, languid path along your inner lips. You felt your body shiver, your muscles tensing in anticipation of his next move. Rafe's fingers tightened around your thighs, holding you in place as he continued to explore your folds with his tongue.
He licked and sucked, his mouth moving in perfect rhythm with your body's natural responses. You felt your orgasm building, the tension coiling within you like a spring ready to snap. Rafe's hands moved, his fingers probing your entrance, covering them in your slick, preparing you for his next move.
As his fingers slipped inside you, you felt your body clench around them, your muscles spasming in delight. Rafe's tongue continued its relentless assault on your clit, driving you closer and closer to the brink of orgasm.
And then, it happened. Rafe's mouth moved in perfect synchrony with his fingers, his tongue still probing your clit as his fingers pushed deeper into your pussy hitting the right spot. You felt your orgasm crash over you, your body shaking with the intensity of your release.
Rafe removed his fingers and his hands tightened around your thighs, holding you in place as you rode out the waves of your orgasm. You felt his warm breath on your cunt, his tongue still hitting your most sensitive areas. You lay there, your body still trembling with pleasure, as Rafe slowly backed away and licked his lips.
You were heaving trying to catch your breath. Rafe stood up to completely take off his pants and you sat up and unhooked your bra, letting it fall from your chest. His eyes widen at the sight of you.
You pulled Rafe on top of you and smashed your lips into his. His mouth moved down to your neck and then your chest. He played with one of your nipples between his fingers as his mouth enveloped the other. He shifted himself to line up with your entrance, he was much bigger than your boyfriend, the only other person you were with so it made you a bit nervous. He knew it too, he could tell from the look in your eyes.
“I’ll go slow, since it’s something you're clearly not used to.” Rafe says loud enough to make sure the camera picked it up. You giggle and throw your hands around his neck.
As Rafe slowly inched inside you, you felt a wave of pleasure wash over you. Your sex was sopping wet, making it easy for him to slide in effortlessly. But despite the ease of entry, the stretch was still unbelievable, your body adjusting to his girth with a mix of pleasure and discomfort.
Your jaw dropped open, and you let out a loud moan as Rafe bottomed out. He paused for a moment, allowing you to adjust to his size. When you nodded, he began to move, thrusting in and out of you in slow, deliberate strokes.
You felt your eyes roll back in your head as Rafe built up a rhythm, his hips moving in perfect synchronization with your body. Your legs wrapped around him, holding him close as you surrendered to the sensation of his cock filling you.
As the pleasure built, you cried out, "Harder!" Rafe didn't hesitate, his pace quickening as he pumped in and out of you relentlessly. You felt your body begin to shake, your orgasm building like a tidal wave.
Your nails dug into Rafe's back, your legs tightening around him as you rode the wave of pleasure .He pulled up one of your legs to your chest, and laid it over his shoulder. The new angle intensified every thrust of his. Rafe's eyes locked onto yours as he thrust deeper, harder, and faster.
“Who else could fuck you this good?” Rafe smirks taunting you.
“Fuck! No one baby, only you.” You were both playing it up for the camera but neither of you were lying.
Your second orgasm crashed over you, your body shaking with the intensity of your release. Rafe's face contorted in pleasure, his cock throbbing inside you as he found his own release.
“Don’t get tired yet,” Rafe kisses down your stomach before yanking you up at the waist and flipping you onto your stomach. His hands gripped your hips, his fingers digging into your flesh as he pulled you up from the bed. You felt your legs bend, your knees sinking into the mattress as you arched your back, presenting your pussy to him.
He positioned himself behind you, his cock pressing against your entrance. You felt him probe your hole, the tip of his cock teasing your inner lips before he finally thrust inside you.
You moaned, your body adjusting to his girth as he began to move. Rafe's hands gripped your hips, his fingers digging into your flesh as he pumped in and out of you with increasing intensity.
You felt your orgasm building again, the pleasure mounting with each thrust. Rafe's hands tightened around your hips, his grip firm as he drove into you, his cock filling you to the brink.
Your legs began to tremble, your body shaking with the intensity of your release. Rafe's cock throbbed inside you, his orgasm imminent as he continued to pump in and out of you. Before the two of you could finish an idea came to mind.
“Let go,” you turn your head to look at Rafe. He looks confused but obliges, you crawl over to your phone picking it up and handing it to him.
“Now, lay down and point the camera at me.” Rafe smirks as he props himself up on some pillows at the tops of his bed and flips the camera towards you.
You straddle his waist and pump his cock a few times before lifting up and sinking down onto him. You gasp at the sensation, he was huge and this angle hurt a bit more but you weren't going to stop now. You finally feel ok to begin bouncing on him.
You move up and down fast, Rafe focuses the camera into where the two of you meet, letting it pick up all the wet sounds your making, before pulling back up to get the whole view. As you continue to bounce up and down on Rafe's cock, he groans, "Fuck, you feel so good. I'm not going to last much longer."
You lean down, your lips brushing against his ear. "Don't hold back, babe. Give me everything."
Your legs begin to burn so you switch to grind on him. You move so fast you’d get rug burn against his skin if it were possible.
You moan, feeling the tension building inside you. "Rafe, fuck, I'm close.
As you continue to grind on Rafe, the camera captures the intimate moment. Your bodies move in sync, each thrust bringing you closer to the edge. Rafe's thumb deftly rubs your clit, sending waves of pleasure through your body. The camera lens captures the sweat glistening on your skin, the strained expressions on your face, and the raw passion that fills the room.
"Come for me, baby. Let go and come for me." Rafe grits through his teeth.
Rafe's breathing becomes ragged, his hips bucking up to meet your motion. The camera shakes slightly as he adjusts his position, never taking his eyes off you. Your climax begins to build, the intensity growing with each passing second. The camera captures the moment your eyes roll back, your lips part, and your body tenses in anticipation of the orgasm that's about to consume you.
As you reach the peak, your body trembles above him, and the camera captures the ecstasy written all over your face. Rafe's grunt of pleasure is music to your ears as he finds his own release, pumping it right into you. The camera's focus wavers, but Rafe quickly steadies it, determined to capture every moment of this intense encounter.
Together, you ride the waves of pleasure, the camera rolling on as you share this moment of passion. When the last shudders have subsided, you collapse onto Rafe's chest, the camera still recording. The two of you lie there, catching your breath, as the camera captures the aftermath of your lovemaking. However, there’s nothing to be seen, it only picks up your heavy breaths.
After a few moments of trying to catch your breaths, you sit back up and move Rafe’s arm to angle the camera where you are connected. The camera captures the mixed up cream dripping from your hole onto his cock. Rafe's eyes widen in surprise, and he lets out a low whistle. "Damn, baby.”
You grab your phone and end the video. When you collapse next to Rafe, he pulls you in and watches you open your messages and send the file to your ex-boyfriend. A “You won't be missed. X.” message follows the video. You put your phone down and move into Rafe’s embrace.
“I’ve been wanting that for a long time. I don't even care how it had to happen.” Rafe smiles at you and you agree with him.
As you filmed, your passion burned hotter with every passing moment. The camera captured your raw desire, your bodies entwined in a frenzy of lust and retribution. But the feeling between the two of you made it so much better.
When you finally finished, your ex would receive a harsh reminder of what he had lost. But as you reveled in your victory, you couldn't anticipate the repercussions your actions would unleash. Little did you know, your revenge would have far-reaching consequences that would change your life forever. But for now, you basked in the glow of your triumph, savoring the sweet taste of vengeance, and what you have to come with Rafe, knowing he’ll be by your side for it.

As always, I'm open for feedback, come say hi!
EXPLICIT CONTENT UNDER, -18 DO NOT INTERACT
______________________________________________________________
I’m not one to get distracted easily.
Really, I’m not.
But there’s something about the way Lewis moves when he’s in his element that just…scrambles my brain.
And right then, standing in front of me, adjusting the collar of this brand-new, snow-white fireproofs like he’s trying on his newest Dior collection instead of his race driver uniform.
“Do you think this watch pops enough against the white?” he asks, flicking his wrist in my direction.
I hum in response, my eyes glued to the line of his shoulders, the fit of the material across his chest, and the way it clings to his hips like it’s got a personal vendetta against me.
I mean I’ve seen him in fireproofs a hundred times, but this shade of white? This specific white? Sinful.
Lewis keeps talking, oblivious to my descent into thirsty nostalgia. “I think it’ll works for the shots. Clean, sleek. What do you think, babe?”
“Mmhm,” I mutter, my mind decidedly not in the present.
Here’s the thing: Lewis like this, all crisp and sharp, unlocked a memory I had neatly tucked away.
Abu Dhabi, 2019. Last race of the season.
Last time he wore a fireproof this white at a race. And the first of many times we did something reckless—but oh-so worth it.
Lewis, bless his heart, keeps chatting. Rambling on about how the watch’s black dial contrasts with the white fabric, and I’m sitting here pretending to listen while my brain serves up a reel of that night.
“And then they said we might try another angle where the light hits the watch just right—”
Oh, I’ll tell you about angles, sir.
Like the one I had to work at to get around the time frame on that fireproof while making good on a promise that was half a joke, half a long-standing fantasy.
He finally looks at me, his brows pulling together slightly. “You good? You’re quiet.”
“Yeah, yeah,” I wave a hand, crossing my legs to try and focus. “Just thinking about…stuff.”
Smooth, Y/n. Really smooth.
I didn’t think I’d actually do it.
A tipsy promise made over tequila shots months ago doesn’t usually hold much weight. But then again, I’m not dating just anyone.
I’m dating Lewis Hamilton, one of the most competitive guys I’ve met, fresh off winning the last race of the season and securing a Grand Chelem after achieving his 6th championship two races back.
And who am I to back out now, when he’s standing in front of me, soaked in champagne, grinning like he’s on top of the world?
He barely gets two steps into the driver’s room before I’m on him. I press him against the door, his laugh vibrating against my lips as I kiss him like we’ve got all the time in the world, even though we don’t.
“Someone’s happy” he teases between kisses, his hands settling on my hips.
“You’ve got no idea,” I murmur, nipping at his bottom lip before pulling back slightly. His gaze, dark and shining, flicking between my eyes and my lips.
I let my fingers toy with the zipper of his race suit, tugging it down just enough to reveal the long sleeve underneath. “Remember the bet?” I ask, my voice low, playful.
He blinks, clearly taking a second to process, and then his brows shoot up. “You’re serious?”
“Very serious.” I grin, dragging the zipper down the rest of the way. “We got fifteen minutes, champ.”
He swallows hard, the heat in his eyes unmistakable now. “Yes ma’am” he mutters, no resisting as I guide him toward the small sofa tucked in the corner of the room, giving him a gentle push.
He obeys, leaning back slightly, his legs spread just enough to make my mouth water.
I settle between his knees, my hands gliding over the champagne-soaked fireproofs. The fabric clings to his skin, warm and damp beneath my fingers, exuding that sharp, fizzy scent of victory—sweet and metallic, a heady mix of adrenaline and success.
His gaze doesn’t waver, intense and unblinking, like he’s trying to commit every second of this to memory.
I can hear the quickening rhythm of his breath, and the barely-there hitch that makes me shiver. His chest rises and falls beneath my hands, steady but heavy, the pulse in his neck beating fast enough for me to notice, almost in sync with my own racing heartbeat.
“You with me?” I ask, smirking as I press a kiss to his hand that is hovering mine. His silence is answer enough.
His breath hitches audibly as my fingers hook into the waistband of his fireproofs, the sound low and raspy like it’s caught in his throat.
The soft rustle of fabric against his skin fills the air as I tug them down, revealing smooth, sweat-slicked skin that glistens faintly under the dim lights. The faintest trace of cologne—woody, clean—lingers where his body heat mingles with the champagne.
It’s intoxicating, almost dizzying, and I can’t help but lean in, my nose brushing just above his waistband to drink it in.
The bulge in his briefs is impossible to ignore, and I let my fingers trail over it lightly, earning a soft groan from him.
“You know” I say, leaning in close, my lips brushing against the fabric “if you walk into that debrief with this situation still going on, it might be a little awkward.”
He chuckles, though it’s strained. “Help me then.”
“Maybe I should” I reply, pulling his briefs down just enough to free him.
He’s already hard, the tip glistening with precum.
I start slow, my tongue flicking out to taste him, and the salty but fruity tang spurring me. I drag my tongue along the length of him, spreading the slickness as I go.
His breath is uneven, and I can feel his restraint slipping.
When I finally take him into my mouth, I go as far as my throat allows, the coolness of my lips contrasting with his heat. I pull back with a soft pop, flicking my eyes up to meet his.
His gaze is locked on me, intense and unwavering.
I wrap both hands around his length, stroking him slowly, deliberately, while maintaining eye contact. His lips part slightly, and when I hear the first low moan escape, I can’t help but grin.
“Enjoying yourself?” I tease, my voice raspy.
His only response is a shaky exhale, and I take that as my cue to dive back in, my mouth working with my hands. His hips twitch slightly, his self-control barely there anymore.
The sounds he makes—soft groans, sharp inhales, and the occasional whispered curse—are like music.
His thighs tense under my palms, firm and unyielding, as if bracing for what’s next. I can feel the heat radiating off him, the heady mix of sweat and lingering champagne heightening every inhale I take.
His body is alive beneath me, each twitch, each gasp, syncing with my rhythm of hands and mouth.
When I glance up again, his head is tipped back, eyes closed, his chest rising and falling rapidly. He’s completely lost in the moment, lost in me.
I pull back, letting him slip from my mouth as I sit back on my heels and his eyes snap open, dark and desperate, as if I’ve just yanked him back to earth.
“Problem?” I ask innocently, tilting my head, pretending like I’m done.
His jaw clenches. “Babe” he murmurs, his voice a low growl, his eyes narrowing in that way that makes my stomach flip.
I raise a brow, waiting. He knows what I want. He exhales heavily, his hand reaching out to rest on the back of my head.
With the gentlest pressure, he guides me back down. “Don’t stop,” he says softly, his thumb brushing over my jaw.
I smirk before taking him in again, my lips wrapping around him, picking up right where I left off.
His hands stay on me, not pushing, just there, grounding himself. I can feel his thighs tense beneath my palms, his body teetering on the edge.
And then—footsteps. A knock on the door.
“Oi, hurry up, you two!” Angela’s voice cuts through from the other side. “Five minutes left”
Lewis freezes, his entire body going rigid. His eyes shoot to the door and I freeze right with him, unmoved, my tongue teasing him lightly just to test his resolve.
Angela’s steps fade down the hall, and I finally lift my head just enough to whisper, “She’s gone.”
His shoulders sag, and he lets out a breathy laugh. “You’re gonna kill me” he mutters.
“Not before I finish what I started.”
Without missing a beat, I shift my focus, letting my hand drift lower to gently cup his balls. I massage them with just enough pressure to make his breath hitch, all while my mouth works him steadily.
His hips twitch, and I know I’ve got him.
“Shit,” he breathes, his head falling back.
It doesn’t take long before his hands move again, this time pulling gently at my head, trying to stop me. “Babe,” he rasps, his voice strained. “I’m gonna—”
I hum in response, doubling down, taking him deeper. His grip tightens, his hips jerking slightly as he tries to warn me again, but I’m not stopping.
Not this time.
His body tenses, and then I feel it—hot and thick, spilling down my throat.
I swallow every drop, my eyes locked on his, watching as his features twist in pure bliss. His mouth falls open, and the quietest, most wrecked groan escapes him as he collapses back against the sofa. Spent.
I give him a few more gentle strokes, making sure I’ve got everything, before finally pulling back, letting my lips trail one last time over the sensitive tip.
His hands fall to his sides, useless, as he tries to catch his breath.
I rise slowly, crawling up his body until I’m face to face with him. His eyes are half-lidded, heavy with satisfaction, but they don’t leave mine.
I press a soft, chaste kiss to his lips, like I hadn’t just sucked him dry moments before.
“Thanks for the trophy,” I whisper against his mouth, grinning.
I’m still half-lost in my own mind when Lewis’s voice breaks through the haze. “Love, you good?”
I blink, snapping back to the present. He’s standing in front of me, white fireproofs hugging every muscle, his brow slightly raised, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
“Yeah, yeah,” I mutter, waving a hand dismissively, even as my cheeks burn. He doesn’t need to know how far down memory lane I just went. “Just... admiring the view.”
His smirk deepens. “Uh-huh.” He steps closer, leaning in slightly. “You’ve been staring at me like that since I put this on. Something on your mind?”
Oh, you sweet, oblivious man.
I clear my throat, standing up from the couch and brushing past him to inspect his fireproofs more closely. “All I’ll say it’s,” I start, my fingers tracing the fabric near his shoulder, “It’s not as good as the 2019 one.”
He scoffs, crossing his arms. “I thought you liked the all-white look.”
“I did,” I admit, turning to face him fully, my hands on my hips. “But these little dot patterns?” I point at the subtle textured details near his ribs. “They’re throwing me off”
He chuckles, shaking his head. “Of course.”
“Hey,” I retort, poking him lightly in the chest, “I’m only pointing out the obvious. The 2019 ones were iconic. These? Meh.” I scrunch my nose for dramatic effect.
“Meh?” he repeats, incredulous. “Okay, little miss fashionista”
I grin. “And yet, here you are, still putting up with me.”
He leans in closer, his voice dropping to that soft, teasing tone that always gets me. “You’ve got strong opinions for someone who couldn’t keep her hands off me in the old ones.”
Touché.
“Fair point” I concede, stepping back just enough to keep things playful. “But let’s not forget who really benefited from that moment in history.”
He laughs, shaking his head as he adjusts the sleeves of his fireproofs. “You know,” he murmurs, his eyes meeting mine, “I don’t remember much from that race. But those ten minutes? Burned into my memory forever.”
I bite my lip, warmth blooming in my chest. “Good” I reply, my voice softening. “I like knowing I leave an impression.”
He reaches for my hand, his thumb brushing over my knuckles. “You always do.”
The knock on the door snaps us both out of the moment. “Lewis, waiting for you!”
Lewis sighs, giving my hand a quick squeeze before letting go. “ I’ll be right back”
As he heads for the door, I can’t resist one last parting shot. “Tell the photographers to focus on your face” I call out. “It’s the real moneymaker.”
With one final smirk, he disappears down the hallway, leaving me alone with my thoughts—and the satisfaction of knowing I’ll never look at white fireproofs the same way again.

Reminds me of something I was thinking about earlier today, pretty perfectly actually.
I went to an all girls Christian camp every summer for 2 weeks to ride horses and go backpacking when I was in my teen years.
I was a streadfast ultracynical atheist then. I felt I had a duty to disprove everything about religion. I thought believing in god meant you were stupid.
I always did my best to poke holes in all the bible stories and find a way to prove that they didnt make any sense.
My cabin leader was the sweetest person I've ever met, so friendly and wholesomely christian.
I said to her, "How can you believe in something when there are so many holes... so many things that dont add up?"
She said that she imagined her faith like a cabin. Like a home, somewhere she felt protected with a roof over her head to ride out the bad weather. She said, "Yes, there are cracks and holes in the walls but thats where the light shines through. Thats faith."
The knowing that comes from deeply understanding your place in the universe and in this life; from understanding the laws that govern the soul and trusting in your connection with spirit to guide and protect you every step of the way.
I understand that now
Not because its comforting or convenient, but because I see the evidence. I get it now.
Its faith in laws in the universe in uncharted dimensions of phsyics that have yet to be defined.
I believe this is now the time when we can make that leap and bridge the gap between quantum physics and spirituality. They are not so different. One is just unproven because it is the study of phenomena that can't be empirically tested. The laws of nature still prevail.
As above, so below.
What does Acts 19:19 mean?
The people of Ephesus are learning what real supernatural power looks like. Like all pagans in the Roman Empire, they have household idols and city gods; they are known for the temple of Artemis. They also have a culture of witchcraft, which attracts demons, which attract Jewish exorcists.
This is the state of the city when Paul arrives. In response to all the magic, the Holy Spirit empowers him to heal and expel demons in Jesus' name. Jewish magicians hear him and start using "Jesus" as a kind of magical word. When seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva enter a house and try to use Jesus' name to expel a powerful demon, the evil spirit attacks them, and the would-be exorcists run out in the street (Acts 19:11–16).
The whole city hears, and many of the practitioners of witchcraft immediately respond. Likely, they realize their spells and incantations don't really control demons, but Paul does. First, they reveal their practices, thus voiding them of power (Acts 19:17–18). Now, they burn their spells. "Ephesian writing," or Ephesia grammata, is a reference to written-down spells, some rolled into small containers and worn as amulets. If the pieces of silver are silver drachma, the value would be something close to 150 years' worth of a laborer's wages.
It's not uncommon for an unbeliever to see the power of Jesus and want to use it to gain influence and money. Simon the Magician did so in Samaria (Acts 8:9–24). But sometimes people are just waiting for rescue. When criticized for eating with unsavory people, Jesus said He came for the sick who need a doctor (Mark 2:15–17). When Zacchaeus heard Jesus, he gratefully accepted Jesus' message and His love and resolved to return what he had cheated (Luke 19:1–10). As Paul works, the demons flee left and right (Acts 19:12). Maybe the magicians just need someone to rescue them.

Shameless Satan x Reader headcanons because I am a whore- 😩
Tumblr media
- As much as everyone would probably assume he’s into “meek wittle UwU princesses” he can dominate with ease, Satan in fact prefers a little spitfire who won’t hesitate to fight back
- You won’t just lay down and take his BS, and it’s part of what drew him to you to begin with. He was probably raging about some stupid shit in the courtroom, and you (probably a desk clerk or something there at the time) got sick of it and yelled back at him “Oh stfu you big red fucker!” And he was so taken aback that someone had the balls to yell back at him that he was left speechless and mildly aroused
- Calls you things like “little flame”, “spitfire”, “dove”, and his “treasure”
- Knows that the sheer size difference between you two flusters you to no end, and he’s a goddamn menace about it. Making short jokes, holding things out of reach, and randomly picking you up just so he can hear you squeak in surprise. Getting cursed out by you is worth it so long as he gets to see that precious look on your face
- Aside from Yogirt, you’re really the only one who can get Satan to calm down when he’s angry and you have a much easier time doing so than Yogirt does. All you have to do is scratch his chin and croon at him, and the big bastard just melts into your touch
- Purrs SO GODDAMN LOUD but insists that he doesn’t. The lying bastard, he sounds like a tractor engine on steroids. He gets SUPER pissy if anyone besides you comments on it
- SO fucking full of himself, mans REALLY thinks he’s above Lucifer and deserves to be regarded as such smh. Your love and affection only further strokes his overinflated ego, as does any compliments and praise you give him. Mf actually grows BIGGER in multiple ways lol the more his ego is stroked
- This man is a cowboy/rancher and I will take NO criticism because I’m right. He’s got THOUSANDS of cows, and lots of horses too
- When he’s not in the courtroom, he’s working on his ranch. Probably has hundreds, if not thousands, of Demons he employs as farm hands to help with all the work, but there are some things only he can do and TBH he likes the physical activity of the work and it’s a free show for you lol
- He gave you a little chicken coop so you can keep a little flock of chickens. You LOVE your chickens, and your personal fav is a tiny rooster you named “Marshmallow”, and he looks like a more demonic version of this lol
Tumblr media
- Says he’s not jealous of Marshmallow, but he TOTALLY is. He gets all pouty and grumbly when you pick up the tiny rooster and coo over him, because dammit you should be cuddling and cooing over HIM! Not that stupid bird!
- Has a big, fancy, mansion on his ranch that he lives in with you. In true dragon fashion, he unironically sleeps on a mountain of gold and other treasures lol. How he doesn’t have back pain is a mystery, but you get to sleep on his tiddies so you have no complaints lol
- Runs SO fucking hot! You’ll never need to pay for heating again, let alone HAVE an actual heating system, because this mf puts out heat like an industrial incinerator. It’s FANTASTIC during the winter because he’s so warm you can just cozy up to him and be in bliss, but in the summer it’s fucking agony and you can’t escape it because he gets upsetti spaghetti if you don’t sleep and cuddle with him
- Would prefer you to NOT be in the courtroom with him. He says it’s because you distract him, but in reality it’s because he doesn’t want you to have to see him explode with rage and live up to his title as the embodiment of wrath. He actually tries REALLY hard to keep that part of himself away from you, because even though he’ll die before ever admitting it, a TINY part of him is terrified that he’ll end up hurting you during one of his outbursts
- If for some reason you HAVE to be there, he has a special little balcony set up for you that’s not only a safe distance away from any potential danger, but ALSO has a magic force field protecting it (that part is a secret tho because if you knew about it, you’d yell at him for thinking you’re weak enough to need protection lmfao)
- If anyone so much as blinks at you wrong, he beats the shit out of them. The ONLY reason he doesn’t kill them is because he knows you’ll yell at him like “Dammit Satan, again?! I can’t go anywhere with you!”
- Yogirt 100% uses his love for you to get him to chill. “I know you’re feeling some pretty big feelings right now, but think of (Y/N)~ She loves you and would be so sad to see you this angry~”
- It’s funny because he and Satan both know damn well that you wouldn’t be sad, rather you’d be yelling at him to knock that shit off lmao
- The entire courtroom once got to hear you sit him the fuck down because he got a little TOO spicy in the courtroom one day, and didn’t believe Yogirt he he not-so-subtly threatened to call you. Sure enough, he pulled out his phone and called you on speaker phone, and everyone got to spend 30 minutes listening to you rip this mf a new one while the mighty king of wrath sat there like a sad puppy and occasionally mumbling something like “I know…I’m sorry treasure, I’ll do better.” (No one is allowed to comment on it or else he’ll get VERY angry about it. Plenty of memes have been made about it tho much to his chagrin)

nav. masterlist
|| 3:24AM Ryomen Sukuna wants to send you a message
You flinch as your phone buzzes beside you, interrupting your disassociated reading of ‘the fundamentals of journalism’. You opted to ignore the buzz, focusing back in on the page you’d been trying to read for the past fifteen minutes. Your eyes would finally reach the bottom of the page, only to flit back up to the top because you simply couldn’t grasp what you’d been doing wrong. Your research had come to a halt, the football team flat out refusing to be interviewed by you. You knew how you were, how invasive your questions could be, but these were boys who bragged about their conquests to anyone who would listen, embarrassment should not be in their vocabulary.
Another buzz sounded. Then another. And another. You sighed, dog-earring the page and picking your phone up. A request for an instagram dm, and four texts from satoru.
|| Toru🤍: y/n, baby. please kindly look at your instagram dms.
|| Toru🤍: i know you’re not sleeping, check them right now.
|| Toru🤍: sukuna’s trying to dm you can you just answer him pls??
|| Toru🤍: he’s punching me PLEASE read the dm before he damages the money maker too much
You groaned. Ryomen Sukuna. Quite possibly the biggest slut on campus. You’d heard all the stories from Satoru about how Sukuna was making it his mission to fuck every sorority girl from your university. Eugh. You were so thankful that you chose to opt out of the sorority life. But, you loved Satoru, and he loved his face being intact, so over to instagram it was.
|| Ryomen Sukuna: Need a favour, princess.
You’d known Satoru since birth, practically being forced into an arranged friendship by your parents and you kinda happened to like his company. You met the rest of the football team when he inevitably joined a frat. Consisting of only the football team. You were friendly with most of them, probably Suguru most of all. The only one who never really warmed to you was Sukuna. You knew him well enough to know he accepted the extra meal preps you left for the rest of the boys whenever you cooked for Satoru, and that his room directly faced Satoru’s. But that was it.
|| Ryomen Sukuna: I’ll make it worth your while.
You groaned again, eyes rolling into the back of your head. This was the same man who grunted when you greeted him with a smile whenever you were at the frat house. The guy who told Satoru that he can’t always use his plus one invite to the parties on you, mostly because you never turn up.
|| You: you’re coming to me for a favour? you must be really outta options, dude.
It was a strange feeling. Being needed. You knew Satoru needed you. You were the only one who kept him sane when he’s balancing football and physics. But this was a different kind of need. This was practically a stranger needing your help. Huh.
|| Ryomen Sukuna: Fuck you. I need a girlfriend. You wanna do it?
Confused didn’t even begin to cover what you were feeling right now. A girlfriend? Sukuna? Nope. Never gonna happen. And you of all people? Definitely not. You had a feeling Satoru didn’t know, because if he did, Sukuna’s phone would be broken and maybe his nose too.
|| You: the fuck? no, go ask one of your sorority fuck buddies if you’re that desperate. i’m sure their frothing at the mouth for the opportunity.
You went to put your phone down, choosing to ignore the pink-haired quarterback, but he was already typing. Like he was waiting for an answer.
|| Ryomen Sukuna: Real cute, princess. Obviously I don’t want a fuckin real one. Need a fake girlfriend so I can focus on football without thinking about pussy.
Confused again. The Ryomen Sukuna, self-proclaimed football god, needed help to be able to actually play? The situation was laughable actually. You furrowed your brows, the thought crossing your mind for just a second.
|| You: Pass.
You let out a sigh of relief when ten minutes passed and you were still left on read, choosing to turn your phone over, pressing your face into the pillow, and getting your final three hours of sleep you so desperately craved.

Hiya! I'm the one who requested the Siren thingy from some time back! LOVED IT BTW!
But anyways, since oneshots are opened, I was wondering if It's possible to do a one shot with Leona and a Reader who has a very intimidating appearance but is actually a sweetheart. They even own a motorcycle that they drive around on and often wear skates on campus!
leona fic... I've been itching to write him lately idk why... thank you anon!!
Tumblr media
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ "dangerous"
type of post: fic characters: leona additional info: romantic or platonic, reader is gender neutral, reader is not specified to be yuu, CUDDLES!!!
Tumblr media
So, you're "intimidating".
He supposes you're in the right place for that.
After "meeting" you (you accidentally skated over Ruggie's foot, which was very funny, but still annoying), Leona had dismissed you as yet another NRC showoff with something to prove.
He'd been at Night Raven College for a decent time, now, and he'd seen your type before. Intimidating, fast, dangerous.
Leona had heard the way the other students talked about you. The whispers, the gossip, even the quiet looks of awe/fear were worth a thousand words.
His thoughts? Whatever.
To him, you were another herbivore in need of a serious ego check. And, more importantly: not his problem.
Until today.
"And beat it," he says, shoving the two Savanaclaw first years he'd caught cornering some poor piece of meat in the hall.
"You're gonna give me a damn headache."
The two scamper off, tails between their legs. Leona sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. "Damn froshes..."
Can't anyone at this school behave? Showoffs.
If he so much as gets a sticky note from staff about his freshmen causing trouble... again... Sigh. Nothing a good nap can't fix.
He's about to find a warm place to sleep when he feels something in his hand. Leona would jump if he were anyone else.
But he's not. So, he looks down to see... you. The poor piece of meat in question.
Holding his hand.
"Thank you," you chirp.
He raises an eyebrow. It's not every day some herbivore has the guts to touch him like that.
So damn sweet he can feel his teeth rotting from that look alone.
"I wasn't 'doin it for you," he takes his hand back and begins walking.
He makes it halfway down the hall before his ears flick towards the sound of footsteps behind him. He turns, and you're there.
Leona gives you a warning glare, and he keeps walking.
Again, footsteps. He looks over his shoulder. "Beat it,"
He keeps walking. If you weren't giving him that damn look, so innocent and sweet at witless, he might've assumed you were trying to pick a fight.
You're either stupid or brave, following him into the lion's den.
But you do, from the hall to the botanical gardens, from the door to his favorite spot.
For whatever reason, he lets you. Something about that look on your face...
"Y'know, if you're trying to hunt, you're not doing a good job," Leona yawns, stretching out in a patch of sunlight.
"Oh," you say. "I'm not."
"Obviously,"
He closes his eyes. You just stand there. He clears his throat. You still don't move.
Finally, he sits up. "What're you, looking for handouts? Go bother someone else, I've already got a moocher,"
"I'm not, I just..."
He raises an eyebrow. "You what?"
You seem hesitant, your hands folded oh-so-politely. For all the talk he'd heard about you, you're really... rather...
"You're nice to me,"
Sweet.
Leona scoffs. "That's it? I'm nice to you?"
You say nothing. That question answers itself, anyway- and, yet, doesn't annoy him, either. You must have a piss-poor life if you think he's nice.
It makes Leona's chest feel warm. Damn it.
"Fine," he sighs. Damn it. And he scoots over to make room for you in the patch of sunlight. Damn it.
You sit beside him, and he wraps an arm around your waist, and pulls you into his side. He watches you get comfortable.
"You're a real sweetheart, y'know that? You're not gonna survive long at this school," he mumbles. "But I guess you know that, huh? That's why you're here."
You nod. Damn it. When'd he get so weak?
"Just... don't get too used to it," he says. "This is a one-time thing."
(Spoiler: it was not).

Being in love with your two best friends hurts.
Being in love with your two best friends who are in a committed relationship with each other hurts perhaps even more.
Being in love with your two best friends who are in a committed relationship with each other, yet for some reason seem hellbent on jokingly flirting with you at any given moment could be considered a form of torture.
And for the past few weeks, Barty Crouch Junior and Regulus Black have been putting you through nothing short of torture.
As any relationship either boy has sustained throughout their lives, your friendship with them was complicated. When you and your dorm mate Dorcas first began integrating yourselves in the friend group that consisted of Barty, Regulus and the elusive Rosier twins, you had both said you might come to regret it. You remember clearly sitting up one night and talking about it – you both thought it would end in flames, yet somehow you couldn’t help but poke the bear. You would prefer to fly under the radar, avoid any more pain than you had already had to grapple with, but you also craved a sense of belonging and figured it was worth the risk.
And oh, were you rewarded.
No friend had treasured you the way Barty does. The second he decided he “liked your vibe” as he put it when he cut you off mid-sentence during your first proper hang-out, you had a loyal guard dog who would kill for you and then demand cuddles as payment. Almost overnight, wherever you went, Barty wouldn’t be far behind, no questions asked. He was fierce in his love, uninhibited and wild. It made you feel important in a way that sizzled over your skin.
In Regulus, you found a quiet understanding no one else had been able to give you before. He was both a mirror held up to your face and a cushioned bench to share during your turmoils. It seemed like he could read your every thought, every experience, like the books you would bond over. Silences shared with Regulus often gave you more than long conversations with others ever could. While he didn’t declare your friendship in the same way Barty did, he still had this simple way of making you feel seen and known.
They quickly cemented themselves at the root of your heart. They were your best friends, and you theirs. Your boys; with their respective green and white strands in their curly hair, who were misunderstood in each their way yet were never a mystery to you.
Perhaps naively, you had always thought there was a certain tension there, that something ran deeper below the surface. Barty was physically affectionate with all his friends, but the way he reached out for you felt differently charged. The only other person he held as long as he did you, was Regulus. It felt right. Likewise, you had yet to be in a room with Regulus without feeling his eyes on you, and you often absentmindedly compared the feeling to when Barty hugs you – they were equivalents, those gazes were the former boy’s version of affection. When you played spin the bottle during an after-party in the boys’ dorm one night, Barty’s grin had widened brilliantly when it landed on you and Regulus. You had sworn you had seen a hunger in his eyes when he watched you share the brief kiss, and you could still hear the soft sigh Regulus breathed against your lips. Again, it all felt so right.
It went unspoken, but you thought that was because it did not need to – not because it was not there.
You knew, of course, that you had been stupidly delusional when Barty hauled Regulus with him into the Great Hall a month ago, hands intertwined, and announced with his signature Cheshire cat smile that he “finally got the boy”. You saw them making out – rather publicly – at the quidditch victory party the night before, but at the time it had only made you smile. It was odd, how you hadn’t realised that kiss was proof that all this tension really was just the two of them. Not before the words left Barty’s mouth did it hit you that this was a part of them you were not involved in. That felt decidedly wrong, but you shoved it down and joined in on the wolf whistling and congratulations, pushing your plate away in the chaos, unable to take another bite.
Since then, you have just tried to be happy for them. Or at least seem it.
Tried to smile through it all as Barty made sure their honeymoon phase was as public as humanly possible, much to Regulus’ ongoing chagrin. Tried to laugh at the quips your friends made, the “get a room you two”s and the “lovebirds”s, though you were never able to dish them out yourself, instead just humming along in agreement whenever Dorcas or Evan did. Tried to stiffen your mask to the point where it could not crack underneath the pressure of emotion, perfectly polished as you originally intended for it to be. All those years ago, before they had ensured you would not need it – you gave yourself a silent thank you for your previous doomsday caution.
You even tried not to avoid Barty and Regulus, to be normal. Why should they be punished by losing one of their best friends because they had the audacity not to fall in love with her too? While you thought yourself generally successful in not showing disdain for their new relationship, this was the one aspect you struggled the most with. Your instinct was to run away and it physically pained you not to. In the few weeks they had been together, you had not been able to stomach being alone with just the two of them and confront their relationship in such close proximity – but you knew you could not avoid them altogether. Instead, you tried to always attach yourself at Dorcas’ hip and always invite the rest of your friends if Barty and Regulus wanted to do something with you. They ask you to study out by the Black Lake? Fantastic, you, Dorcas and Pandora have an Astronomy project you need to work on anyway. They want to visit that one store in Hogsmeade with you? How convenient that Evan was discussing how he needed something from there earlier, and if he goes, then Pandora goes and if she goes Dorcas can’t be the only one left behind, can she?
To offset any accusation that you were not spending time with them alone, you still spent time with them one on one when you knew the other would be busy – just seeing Regulus or Barty was not too bad, it was seeing them as a couple, knowing it did not include you, that you could not withstand. If you were alone with one, you could just pretend nothing changed.
You made sure you focused on these ‘rules’ in your mind, the carefully constructed plan on how to make it through the year. Somehow you did not have it in you to wish they would break up and put you out of your misery – you wanted them, not just one – so instead you set your sights on graduation day. What you would do afterwards, you did not yet know. Disappear off the face of the earth? Become an Unspeakable as an excuse not to ever see them again? Endless possibilities. You zeroed your focus on your coursework and these measures you must take to protect your heart and sanity – if you filled your mind like this, maybe you could distract yourself from the pain that leaked through your body.
Barty remaining his flirtatious self whenever he was around you and Regulus’ simmering dedication to you seemingly only building, was decidedly not helping your case.
Which is how you ended up in this admittedly awkward cat and goose chase.
“There you are!” Not only did you hear Barty’s screech the moment he laid his eyes on you – everyone else in the library did as well, going by the shushes and ugly glares you both received that Barty paid zero mind to. “Dragă, I have been going crazy without you, where have you been?”
He plopped down on the bench beside you instead of any of the readily available chairs around the table, thigh flush against yours. “Good morning, B,” you whispered, hoping to lower his volume with yours.
The ever-growing grin on his face told you he likely understood your attempt. His hair was still damp from his morning shower and hanging slightly in front of his eyes, but you could see the sparkle there you thought was reserved for you. “Good morning,” he stage-whispered dramatically, to show his abiding of library law. Then, he pressed a smacking kiss to your cheek before pulling up his books. “Tell me, why are we studying on a weekend morning?”
This was the kind of activity that caused your delusion. It was early on a Sunday, arguably too early, and you had snuck out of your dorm to the library before anyone else woke so you would not be roped into any heartbreaking hangout. Yet, upon your absence, Barty went looking for you before doing his hair or anything – and when he found you studying, as he likely assumed you would be, he just joined you. There was no reason for him to.
You had been staring at him a tad bit too incredulously for a tad bit too long, so he gave you a cheeky sideway glance while he readied his books. “Too early for you too, baby?”
You shook your head, but couldn’t stop the laugh escaping you. “Maybe I’m just shocked at seeing you voluntarily in the library. I usually have to drag you here.”
“Yeah, because usually I have you with me somewhere more fun when you try to go to the library,” he explained to you matter-of-factly. “Now that you are here from the get-go, I accept my fate that this is where we’ll be. For now.”
“Lucky me.” You poked him lightly in the side to emphasise your sarcasm before you tried to return to your books, though your attention was thoroughly divided.
“I reckon I am the lucky one who gets to spend time with the fittest babe in the castle.”
You snorted at the same time as your heart shattered further – an odd reaction none other than Barty could draw from you. Those comments are not only how you got in this whole emotional mess to begin with, but felt like genuine ice shards spearing through your flesh. You were guilt-ridden as you revelled in them, and begged the gods he would stop.
“And I reckon,” you teasingly copied, hoping to sound level-headed and not agonised, “that Regulus would not appreciate having that title taken away from him.”
“Regulus is a fit babe,” Barty said dreamily, unaffected by your correction. “But he would agree that the title belongs to you, Dragă.”
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
Barty was incredibly particular in how he showed affection, and flirting with you explicitly was not at all out of character for him. You just, perhaps bitterly, hoped that maybe he would stop, if he was to be in a monogamous relationship with one of his two best friends.
“What’ll you be working on?” you asked, hoping to redirect the conversation.
Likely entirely unaware of your attempt, Barty allowed you, delving into a longer rant about what extra assignment Professor Flitwick had assigned him because he “saw potential in you, young man”, which he of course found to be utter “trollpiss”. It was familiar, working side by side while also not studying at all, gossiping like the two best friends you are. It should be lovely, and you kicked yourself for being hung up on it just being friendly, when friendliness in itself is a gift you should be grateful for.
While you tried to allow yourself to enjoy Barty’s company and not be guilty for how hard you noticed where his body touched yours, you kept your eye on the clock. Regulus had prefect rounds on Sunday mornings, but as soon as he finished them, he would seek the two of you out.
You had to get away from Barty before then.
“While this was lovely,” you said with a forced airy tone, “I have to get going now, B.”
“Cool, where’re we goin’?”
Your pageant winner smile wavered slightly as he immediately began to pack up his belongings, considering it a given that he would join you in your endeavours. “I don’t think so. I’m heading to meet with the Hufflepuff third years I tutor, and I believe it would be considered a crime to introduce them to you when they’ve just stopped being scared of me.”
Not technically a lie. You picked up a massive amount of extracurriculars after Regulus and Barty became official, and tutoring Hufflepuffs was part of it. Though you had no scheduled study session with them today, you knew at least two of them were still too much of a pushover to say no to you if you headed over there. Innocent casualties in your escapades.
Barty immediately pouted. “No fun,” he whined, sitting back down before you. He grabbed your hips and pulled you flush to him so he could rest his forehead on your stomach in defeat. “Why do you have to be such a swot? I miss you.”
You hoped he couldn’t hear your heart flutter at the sentiment. You brought a shaky, selfish hand up to card lightly through his hair, separating the green from the black. “Sorry, B. Duty calls and you know how much I love to be a hero.”
“No hero would leave such a perfect victim like me destitute and alone.” He moved his chin to rest against your flesh so he could look up at you in faux misery.
“Good thing you have Regulus, then.” You feared your voice was more pointed than you wanted it to be. It did not go with the pleasant mask you tried to wear, but the mask never fit quite right around Barty.
Something odd flashed across his eyes at your words and his eyebrows furrowed slightly. Whether he wanted to say something that would explain it, you would not find out, because you gave his hair one last ruffle before patting his cheek lightly and pulling away.
“I’ll see you for dinner, alright B? Don’t worry about me.” You turned around and walked away without waiting for a response.
It still came behind you, sounding too much like the ache in your own chest. “Counting down the minutes!”
════ ⋆★⋆ ════
You survived the rest of the Sunday with little to no incident; as in, you avoided being alone with Regulus and Barty, ensuring the friend group ate together and sat together in the common room afterwards. When Pandora retreated to head to bed, you immediately used the excuse to slither away too, lest you end up trapped with just the two of them by the fire.
Dorcas opened the door to your dorm just a few minutes after you had settled down on your bed to reread your comfort novel. You looked up with a warm, small smile to greet her, but it slipped away as you saw her eyeing you carefully. Neither of you said anything before she was sat on her own bed opposite you, studying you. There was this crackling ferocity to Dorcas’ silences that would make even the strongest man cave – and you were not feeling particularly strong lately.
“Spit it out.” It was all she said.
You sighed and put your book aside, straightening up in your previously comfortable position. “What is it, Cas?”
She gave you a stern but not unkind look. “You’re different. Why?”
“Different how?” You stalled.
She indulged you. “You’re not yourself, babe. Your smile doesn’t reach your eyes and you act like you’re programmed and not like you’re living. I want to know what’s wrong. I want to help.”
The staggering, almost fragmented way she spoke was in part to spoon-feed you her concern so that you might actually answer her truthfully and in part how Dorcas was with emotions. She had not been raised to speak of them, but she was loyal and smart, so she knew when it was needed, even if you wished she wouldn’t.
You looked at her with heavy eyes for a moment before sighing once more and bringing your hands up to roughly rub at your face. “There is no way for you to help right now, I’m sorry. Except maybe be my shield.” The last part was added as a joke, but it fell flat.
“Shield you from what?” Protectiveness flared in her tone and you knew you had to soothe it with the truth.
“Not what,” you said softly. “Who.” You pleaded with your eyes for her to understand.
It took but a few seconds before her face scrunched up in pity – and something that would almost looked like amusement, had you thought her cruel enough to laugh at you. “Barty and Regulus.”
It was a statement, not a question, yet you nodded in affirmation, shutting your eyes in humiliation. “It’s bad, Dorcas. It’s so bad.” A tired heave for breath. “But I will get through it. I just need a little bit of distance without any drama around it and to get my shit together.”
Dorcas looked like she was weighing up her next words carefully. “If I didn’t know you as well as I do, I would have told you to talk with them. Alas, I know you won’t. But I hope you somehow end up having to.”
Cryptic and confusing; just how you knew her to be.
When she realised you would not answer her first sentiments, it was her turn to sigh and give you a rueful smile. “I assume this is why I suddenly have been roped into so much lately? Marlene misses me.”
You laugh at her teasing tone, happy for her to not dig too much into your feelings. “Sorry about that, babe. Just for a little while longer, yeah?”
“Yeah,” she repeated with a tilted head. “If it’s any help, I get it.”
“Considering you got the girl, I don’t think you do.” There was no malice in your words, just a bit of longing. It was bittersweet to indirectly admit your loss.
“That’s not what I meant.” She waited to continue before you met her eyes once more. “I can’t say I understand your heartbreak exactly, but I share your confusion. I also thought you would be part of it.”
The look you gave her must have been nothing short of gobsmacked, yet she had the kindness to not laugh at you. It was unclear whether you were most surprised by her knowing you were in love with both of them, or her having shared the same assumptions as you once. Both floored you.
“I–” you tried, but your voice failed you. All you were able to do was whisper a small, “Thank you.”
This time, there was nothing but pity in her eyes. “I’m sorry babe. I’ll shield you to the best of my ability.”
You shared small, knowing smiles and you decided to end the conversation there, lest it get teary. Reaching over, you carefully switched off your light and placed your book on your nightstand, abandoning any attempt at being comforted for the night. When you laid your head on your pillow, there were phantom indents on either side.

The one place you had no opportunity to shield yourself from or avoid either of them was during classes.
With your timetables for the year, you and Regulus ended up sharing more than half of your classes, while Barty was in at least a third of them. When you first saw the allocations, it felt like painfully little, and the thought of scraping by so many classes without them felt like a punishment you did not deserve. Now, you almost wished it was less.
Almost was the key word though – because Regulus’ presence by your side at your shared Herbology station was somehow melting the tension that had settled in your bones and making your chest heave all at the same time.
His elbow bumped lightly into yours. “You alright?”
You looked up from the notes you were pretending to study for the depotting you two were currently attempting, giving him a brief smile. “‘Course. Ready for the next step?”
His gaze lingered on you for a second too long, flickering over your face carefully before nodding almost imperceivable. You shifted your focus towards the Venomous Tentacula on the bench before you, reaching out to carefully manoeuvre the prickly leaves away so Regulus could attend to the roots when his hand stopped yours.
“These aren’t tight enough.” His voice was but a whisper as he took off his gloves to tighten yours where the velcro was hazardously slapped on top of each other. With long, cold fingers he elegantly realigned the straps and made sure there was no gap between your skin and glove. “Don’t want my best girl getting hurt, right?”
Regulus looked up to meet your eyes, a small smile playing over his lips. With his striking grey eyes locked on yours, you feared your emotions were too clearly pasted across your face. His loose grip remained on your bare skin, thumbs brushing carefully above your gloves.
“Right,” was all you offered him curtly, pulling your hands back to yourself.
Together you navigated the plant meticulously from one pot to the other you had pre-prepared. Propagating, maintaining and harvesting from the plant was one of your major projects in Herbology for the term and you and Regulus had been dedicated to your so-called coparenting to begin with. Now, to have his body half pressed to yours as you covered the plant’s teeth and angled its venomous leaves away while he extracted and cleaned its roots, it was almost too much. You breathed in and instead of being overwhelmed by the smell of dirt, your nose was filled with Regulus’ shampoo and cologne. You were suddenly thankful your part of the job was rather stationary, as you feared your hands trembling.
Regulus took a laboured breath as he settled the plant properly within its new home, packing the potting mix carefully around the roots. “Right there, perfect,” he murmured, presumably to himself, yet you fought the shiver down your spine. You noticed him glancing at you in the corner of his eye with what can only be classified as a smirk growing on his lips. “Amazing work, amour.” That was unmistakably to you.
You lightly shook your head to clear your thoughts. “Are we done?”
“Unfortunately,” Regulus replied, dusting the remaining dirt off his gloves as he took a small step back from the plant – and closer to you. “Gregory has been successfully assimilated to his new environment.”
You scoffed a laugh, to which his smile grew genuine. “You’ve got a flare for the dramatics, Black.”
“Only comes with being close to one Bartiemus Junior, doesn’t it?”
His eyes were crinkling from his smile and adoration, but you took the comment for what it was – a reminder. A warning. Albeit a confusing one, giving his amorous words just a few moments ago, but one you most certainly needed. “That it does.” Your tone was drier than you intended, but you did good; the smile didn’t slip.
Regulus’ did, and he tilted his head while regarding you. “I almost slipped up a few times there, though. Was a tad distracted.” There was an undeniable cheekiness dripping from his words.
“Yeah?” was all you managed to say.
“Yeah,” he breathed out, leaning against the desk. You had time to small talk, giving as you were finished long before anyone else. “Pretty girls like you really shouldn’t be allowed in here; it’s a safety hazard.”
“You would know all about safety hazards,” you mumbled, fighting yourself from going red from the sentiment or seeing red from the audacity.
Regulus’ laugh seemed more guarded than usual.
“Speaking of,” you said, trying to get the conversation to safer grounds, “who do you think will definitely kill their plants at last today?”
If there was one thing you and Regulus did well, it was gossip, and you managed to derail him into chattering quietly with you instead of doing some weird dance of pushing the limits and then drawing them clearly. As you spoke, you took small, careful steps away from Regulus to put some physical distance between you, hoping he wouldn’t notice.
If you had looked him in the eye even once more before your separation to go to your next periods, you would have seen that he did.

You would have thought the Quidditch game on Friday to have been a blessing.
The tension had been growing more and more between you and your best friends, and it seemed that the more you volleyed around their pretend flirting, the more fired up they got, in each their own way. It didn’t seem sustainable anymore.
Even Dorcas had grown weary of you, though she tried to remain supportive while urging you strongly to speak with them about it.
“And say what exactly? What could I possibly say that would not make the situation ten times worse?”
Dorcas levelled you with a look that spoke volumes, but she seemed unwilling to verbalise any of it in response. Instead she just offered you a vague, “It might go better than you could imagine.”
You must admit you had grown weary of her cryptic remarks as well.
A quidditch game gave you the perfect opportunity to have a small break from them guilt-free, seeing as they were all playing for Slytherin. In turn, you believed you gave Dorcas a break from working overtime to shield you and keep any awkward situation at bay.
With you in the stands, cheering for your little makeshift family who were all involved in the game somehow – Regulus as Captain and seeker, Barty and Evan as beaters, Dorcas as a chaser and Pandora as commentator – you thought you could finally breathe for a moment.
Any such hopes were shattered when Barty came chasing up beside you before you could ascend the wooden stairs to find your seat.
“Dragă! Hold up!”
The pet name sent warmth up your spine, but the sigh that escaped you was not a happy one. You turned regretfully on your heel to take in Barty’s form as he jogged up to you. His quidditch gear was tight, much more than it had any business being, seeing as he could easily make them larger with a quick spell if he wanted to.
You didn’t ask what he wanted, but he didn’t seem to mind, grin permanently plastered on his face in your presence.
“Do I not get a kiss for good luck?” He threw you a cheeky wink with his comment as he came to stand in front of you, breath slightly laboured.
“Sure you can. Regulus is right over there.” You hoped your voice sounded a bit lighthearted even in your sternness of correcting his flirting. Even more, you hoped the heat in your cheeks had not turned into any noticeable redness.
A look at Barty’s wicked smile told you it might have. “I’ve already gotten plenty from Reggie. Now I just need my girl and I’m golden.”
You knew he didn’t mean it, at least not like that. You knew he meant a kiss on the cheek, and you knew he asked to make fun – not of you, but of the concept of good luck kisses and of your closeness as friends being read as anything else. He likely didn’t even know that you had been among those reading it as something else, this was a joke the two of you were in on, as all best friends should be.
Still, you couldn’t help but wince at the sting in your heart.
“I think you’ll do just fine without it, B.” You pressed your lips together in the same way you would if you were fighting a smile and not a frown.
He tilted his head at you, a mix of black and green strands falling into his eyes. “Have I done something that would make you want me to fall to my death? Because that is what will happen without you as my good luck charm.”
You shook your head, taking miniscule steps towards the stairs; away from him. “I’ll be a shining bright good luck charm in the stands. You’ll see me after, at the party.”
“I sure will,” he replied salaciously, but you caught the flicker in his eyes. “Wear a pretty little thing for me?”
“You know I’ll wear jeans.”
“And aren’t they a pretty little thing?” His smile grew more affectionate. “And you look good in anything, Dragă.”
“Sure.” You cleared your throat, stepping more confidently away from him. “See you later, B. Play well.”
“Just for you, baby!”
It was as if he was laying it on even thicker the more you turned his compliments away. While you never got quite used to his outspoken praise, it had been years since you embraced it and stopped fighting him on it – he didn’t seem quite pleased that you suddenly had started. Then again, Barty never liked not getting his way, so it shouldn’t surprise you.
You turned and walked back up the stairs, not turning to see whether he jogged off too or remained watching you like usual; you didn’t feel like having the pieces of your heart jumped on, and both alternatives would have resulted in nothing less.
In the stands, you settled into your usual place by the railing, seated beside Lily and Marlene, who were there to cheer on Dorcas. The two girls were the only Gryffindors you tolerated, not due to any of your own sentiments, but simply as a form of hatred by-proxy from Regulus and Barty – they were also a great opportunity to slowly edge Regulus closer towards reconciling with his brother. Though you knew in your heart that was a slow-and-steady-wins-the-race type of situation.
The game flew by and while you were relatively certain you cheered in the right places and sat with baited breath at the tense moments, you felt you were never truly present. Pandora’s voice in your ears was lulling, allowing your soul to drift out of your body and float up into the skies. You wondered if maybe you should take her up on her offer of teaching you how to meditate. Maybe that is how you end your torture rather than trying to change Barty and Regulus’ ways of being, even if it sent terribly mixed signals.
You were somehow exhausted by the time the whistle blew to announce Slytherin’s victory, despite not having done anything.
Victory was a guarantee for a rowdy party, which, if you didn’t watch yourself, was a guarantee for mistakes. You could not risk slipping up and confessing your feelings to either boy – though some part of you whispered that perhaps some liquid courage is what you needed to tell them to stop flirting with you.
════ ⋆★⋆ ════
If the game had gone by in a blur for you, the party was nothing less. You lost Dorcas to Marlene’s wicked laugh just a few minutes in, and had since drifted between your many groups of friends. Shots with Evan, braiding with Pandora, armwrestling with Emmeline, gossiping with Amelia and Regulus. Throughout the whole night you had managed to keep things light, floating through the crowd and keeping someone by your side at all times. It made it bearable to be near the both of them when you had others to keep up appearances for. It also was a great distraction from the joint envy that bloomed in your heart whenever Barty paraded Regulus around like he ought to.
He tried to parade you too, but you slipped out of his grasp before he ever could.
The closer the night got to being over, the more intimate the atmosphere in the Slytherin common room grew. People migrated from standing around to sitting huddled together, there were quiet conversations and card games instead of yelling and butterbeer pong. There were less of the other house colours, and more of just the familiar greens and faces.
Meaning, it was your cue to slip out and away for a minute.
You, Regulus and Barty always ran off into some corner towards the end to do a debrief of the night, perhaps a bit tipsily. If there was one thing you couldn’t take right now, it would be that.
It was easy to distract the both of them by starting a conversation with Evan and Pandora – whether torture methods has improved or worsened since the dark ages – that would have them in a chokehold. You used the opportunity to slip out through the common room door and walk down the hallway.
It was rare you were grateful for the gloomy dungeons and their cold stonewalls, but this was one such moment. You walked slowly, alone at last, taking deep breaths. Somehow the air felt fresh despite being several metres below ground; anything was better than the stuffy post-party air that clung to the common room.
You let your right hand graze the wall as you walked, texture rough and freezing beneath your fingertips, and tipped your head back with closed eyes. You knew the way like the back of your hand.
At the end of the hall was a rarely-used classroom that functioned more as a storage room these days – your favourite place of refuge. The desk in there was the perfect size to lay down on to close your eyes and relax, feet just barely hanging off the edge. Along the top of the wall was a narrow window that gave an obscured view of the Black Lake, distorted light spilling through to make the most beautiful shapes along the ceiling.
You could stay here and relax and by the time you went back, everyone would have gone off to bed already and you wouldn’t have to face anyone until the morning.
“... Amour?”
You flinched so violently you almost fell off the desk, sitting up by propping yourself onto one elbow and clutching your chest with your other arm. “Gods, Regulus, you cannot fucking sneak up on people like that!”
“Sorry, love.” He offered you a half-hearted smile from where his head popped in through the crack in the door.
Barty’s head appeared just below his, as if he had crouched down to get the comedic angle. “I’m not, what the fuck are you doing here?”
You could hear the light squaffle behind the door as Barty presumably tried to push Regulus aside so he could walk in, while Regulus tried to hold his own to walk with grace. It resulted in them more or less tumbling in, the latter boy straightening up to close the door carefully behind him.
“Whatcha mean?” you asked dumbly, deciding to remain in your half lounged position on the desk at the top of the room.
The boys exchanged a quick look that you didn’t have the time to decipher.
Barty was the one who spoke. “I mean, how come you’re hiding out here? We have very important matters to discuss, you know.”
Your lips tightened slightly. You looked between them quietly while they came up to settle in front of your desk, Regulus deciding to lean his weight against a smaller one behind him while Barty jumped onto it without hesitation, settling into some odd position.
“Needed some fresh air. Party got too hot for me.”
“So you decided to lay down in this dusty room?” Regulus asked humorously, lifting a brow at you.
At the same time Barty commented, “I cannot imagine anything being too hot for you, Treasure.”
You ignored them both, fighting not to meet their eyes. This was going worse than you imagined.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to run off on you.” You aimed for a light-hearted tone, if a bit tired. “Want to do the debrief in here?”
Regulus hummed questioningly, as if he wanted to probe more, but Barty clapped his hands together. “Yes. You’re simply not getting out of this love, lest my bleeding heart become public knowledge as I wail at your absence.”
“Stop it, Barty,” you whispered. He didn’t hear you, in one way or another.
“Okay, so we all agree Dorcas and Marlene are shagging?”
You sit more up at this, realising you truly would be doing the whole debrief here, and that you would thus likely be here for a while. Also well aware that you know more than both of the boys on that matter, as Dorcas' dorm mate. “Well, duh,” you offer. “But did you see anything tonight?”
You look at Barty as he speaks, but can feel Regulus’ gaze burning through the side of your head, and you wish he would stop trying to scrutinise you. You look over to meet his gaze, hoping to give him an I’m fine smile that would divert his attention. However, when his eyes meet yours you see they are sparkling with that mischief that only Regulus can pull off, the kind that is equal parts elegant and dirty. He winks at you, and you really, really wish he wouldn’t.
You shift your gaze back to Barty, further assuring his claim. “Don’t push it with Cas, though,” you warn. “She will tell you when she feels like."
“But it is so much fun to push it though,” Barty pouted, making his eyes comically big.
“It’s even more fun to not be skinned alive by Dorcas in our sleep.”
“Fine,” he groans, throwing his head back theatrically before settling you with a gaze. “But only because you asked, beautiful.”
You hum noncommitedly, fighting any prickling tears. Don’t be such a fucking twat. Let your friends speak to you.
“Oh,” Regulus said, as if he just remembered a piece of drama to share. “Amelia flirted with me earlier.”
“She what!?” Barty’s voice was not much unlike a banshee’s. “Have I not made it clear that your arse is off the market?”
Your heart plummeted and you had to fight not to let your shoulders grow into your ears.
“Right?” Regulus said through a laugh. “I think she was just too pissed, though. Would have flirted with anything that walked.”
“What did she say?” you asked somewhat meekly.
“Oh, something about gorgeous curls and tight shirts and whatnot.” Regulus made a waving motion with his hand, as if physically brushing it off. “You know, the usual. Called me baby.”
“Only we get to call you baby,” Barty said through a pout.
We?
“I know, amour, I told her as much.”
Barty nodded emphatically. “Good. I don’t like picking fights with birds, but I would if she can’t keep her hands off the goods.”
Regulus gave his leg a light kick with his own. “Down, boy.”
Your stomach was turning over and you desperately wanted to leave. A comment about being tired and wanting to discuss the rest over breakfast tomorrow died on your tongue when Barty turned his attention to you, pout giving way for a scrutinising look.
“What about you, Dragă? Anyone else flirt with you?”
Any turning in your stomach was replaced by an irritation seeping into your bloodstream, one that had been fighting with heartbreak and anxiety for your attention for almost a month now.
“I don’t see how that’s any of your business, B.” You’re not sure quite what possessed you to say it, but there was no denying your dry tone.
Barty looked equally puzzled, head actually reeling backwards ever so slightly. Still, he pushed his luck. “Am I not allowed to be concerned for my girl?”
You looked at him incredulously. “I am not your girl.”
That was the whole point. That was the whole heartbreak. That was all you could think about. They were each other’s and you weren’t theirs and you most certainly was not their girl.
Regulus’ stance shifted quickly, tensing in weariness. “Amour, what he meant–”
“I know what he meant.” You sighed, making no effort to hide your pain anymore. You could not take this. “I know what you both mean.”
“Baby–” Barty began, sliding off of his desk and moving towards you, but you cut him off.
“No! Stop it, Barty, please.” He looked as if you had punched him. “I can’t take it anymore, I’m sorry. I am so, so happy for you and I’m glad you’ve found each other like that. But now that you have, I just can’t take you flirting with me or, or doing the play pretend. It’s not fun anymore.”
The room was laid in silence.
You had been defiantly staring at the wall behind them both, but after practically being able to hear the crashing out in their minds, you slid off your own desk and made your way towards the door without sparing them a glance. “I need a moment.”
“No, no, hey, hey, hey,” Barty chanted as he ran up behind you, hand circling loosely around your wrist. Enough to ground you, but not enough to trap you should you want to wrestle free. He slowly came up around your stopped form. “Shit, Y/N, I–” This time he cut himself off, running his free hand through his hair and looking over at Regulus, whose footsteps you could hear stop right behind you.
You stared at the door over Barty’s shoulder. This was your worst nightmare.
“Amour, we’re sorry,” Regulus whispered behind you. His hand came up to ever so slightly trace the side of your arm.
You felt ganged up on where you stood between them and you cursed your body for loving it, even as they were rejecting you more explicitly than ever. “It’s alright. It’s not your fault that you don’t– you know.”
“No, no, no,” Barty chanted yet again, hands coming up to grasp both of your cheeks and bruising away a few tears you only now realised had fallen. You would never stop revelling at how Barty’s touch could be so painfully gentle even when his voice was frantic and passionate. “That’s exactly it, Dragă, we do. We do. I do.”
You met his eyes and furrowed your brows at him. “Barty, I don’t think you understand what I’m saying.”
He had the audacity to laugh quietly at you. “I don’t think you understand what you’re saying. In what world could I, Barty Crouch Junior, not be obsessed with you?”
“Lovely girl,” Regulus whispered as he inched forward into your field of vision, hand growing more confident in its touch on your arm. “I’m sorry, we’ve gone about this all wrong. We realised it quickly, but didn’t know how to fix it. The whole... getting together part happened naturally between Barty and I, and we figured it would with you too immediately after, but it proved, uh, more complicated.”
At last, your brain caught up with you, and your instinctive reaction was to jerk backwards out of both of their grasps, not even feeling the impact of your back hitting the desk behind you. Both boys hissed at the thump that sounded.
You finally looked at both of their eyes and found layers of insecurity and guilt there, along with…
“Are you saying…” you started, but trailed off, unsure how to formulate the words.
“I’m obsessed with you, consumed by you, enthralled by you, whatever word you please, it’s yours. I’m yours.” Barty’s face was almost impassive despite the volumes behind his confession. More tears welled in your eyes, by confusion still more than any relief – you didn’t dare feel that yet.
“What he’s saying is that – well, that we love you.” Regulus smiled and you saw the quiver of his lips at the unfamiliar words.
You let out a half-choked sound. “I don’t understand? But then why– how come–”
Regulus took a careful few steps towards you once more, hand held out between you in a show of safety. “Even as it happened, I remember thinking you would laugh at us for it. Really what happened a month ago was just that we didn’t really think at all.”
“Which you rightfully accuse us of a lot,” Barty added.
“Right. Barty and I were together and drunk and that tension we’ve all had, I guess it finally spilled over for us. By the time we had admitted our feelings physically, we didn’t really need words for it, which is what we both struggle with the most. And you weren’t close by to be dragged into it. When we told everyone we hoped to just… smoothly join you in. Wouldn’t be difficult right, it’s always been the three of us anyway?”
“Turns out it’s not so bloody simple,” Barty grumbled.
By this point, tears were streaming clearly down your face. Regulus reached out a hesitant thumb to wipe them away. “We were stupid, amour. And by the time we got our wits about us, we didn’t know how to reign you in, other than by… continuing being us. Us three.”
“How could I feel like it was us three when it was so clearly you two?” you all but sobbed.
Barty had grown too impatient by Regulus’ easing you in and closed the gap in two long strides, grabbing at your hand fiercely. “You couldn’t, we were just stupid wankers and absolute boys. You’re perfect, it’s not your fault you fell in love with us sods.”
You laughed a bit wetly, bringing grins out on both of their faces. “Bold claim you have there,” you said, some teasing making its way into your voice.
“But an accurate one?” Regulus’ tone was void of humour, just quiet and nervous and hopeful.
“Of course,” you breathed and Barty’s hands tightened around yours. “I always thought it was us three… when it seemed like it was just you two, I– I didn’t really know what to do with myself.”
“So you ran and you hid,” Barty concluded with a nod. Upon your almost offended expression he hastily added, “as is understandable, and as asserted, we are wankers and you are perfect.”
“Stop saying that,” you whispered.
“But it’s true,” Regulus added in the same cadence. Then, a sparkle settled in his eyes as he regarded you. “Can I prove it to you?”
Your breath hitched at the implication but you nodded, ever so hopeful smile growing on your face. You dared tighten your own hold on Barty’s hands – they were delightfully warm.
Regulus’ smile matched yours and he took a final step towards you to bring the two of you together. His lips covered yours in the sweetest of kisses, slow and smooth and exactly how you had guiltily pictured. He breathed in as he kissed you and you felt the air move across your skin, tickling and tingling. When he pulled back he pressed a quick kiss to your cheek too.
“This whole thing should have never played out this way,” he started. “But this is exactly where I always wanted to end up.”
Barty bumped lightly into both of you, giving you a conspiring smile. “It’s true – he tried to brag to me that he had been picturing us three together since fifth year, which is embarrassingly late for him. I’ve pictured this since the fifth week of knowing you both.”
You huffed a laugh, feeling your entire face still burning from the confessions, neck aching from the whiplash and lips tingling from the kiss. “Then you’ve both got eons on me. I only really realised, like, last term.”
“See, that’s because you are sane,” Barty provided, circling his arms around your hips to pull both you and Regulus closer to him. “A sane beautiful girl who balances us out perfectly and who completes my heart.”
“One we will spend eons making up lost time with,” Regulus added somewhat cheekily.
You brought your hands up to properly wipe at your face, hoping to remove redness and giddiness with the wet. “It’s barely been a month.”
“A month you spent confused and hurt, Dragă. That cannot slide. I would have hexed anyone else who did that to you.”
“No one else could have broken my heart,” you said then, intending it to be romantic.
The horrified looks on their faces said otherwise. “You were heartbroken?” Barty exclaimed in intense frustration, pulling his wand up and handing it to Regulus. “Reggie, baby, I need you to Avada me right now. Use my wand so they can’t trace you and send you to Azkaban, because you need to be her personal servant to repent for us.”
“Barty!” you laughed, quickly plucking the wand out of his hands before any shenanigans could occur. “It’s fine, really–”
“Nope, absolutely not,” he cut you off. “I must fix this. Kiss it better?”
Before you could even really respond he brought his hand up to the back of your neck, pulling your face gently albeit quickly towards his. Millimetres before his lips could crash with yours, though, he paused. Giving you the opportunity to back down. His thumb was ghosting carefully across the baby hairs at the nape of your neck.
With a delighted sigh, you leaned your chest against his and brought him the final way in for the kiss.
His lips were softer than they looked, fitting exactly within the narrative that usually followed your relationship with Barty. He quickly opened them for you, bringing your bottom lip in between yours and kissing you passionately, tongue sliding over delicate skin. One of your hands curled into his shirt by his collar, wand long since discarded on a desk, while the other found Regulus’ neck, massaging it not much unlike Barty did with yours.
Barty’s skillful lips trailed happy kisses along your jaw, turning into a smile at the breathy laugh that escaped you at his ministrations.
Your eyes met Regulus while Barty practically attempted to bury himself beneath your skin, smiling and sighing against you – kissing it better. The former boy’s smile was at its widest and most sentimental, encircling the both of you within his arms.
“Y/N,” he said, almost seriously. “We will do right by you, as we always should have. I’ll start by asking, will you please legitimise our feelings by becoming our girlfriend?”
Before you could reply, Barty added against your neck, “And will you please take back your demand we stop flirting with you, because I don’t think I can.”
You were afraid your smile was almost dreamy – everything you believed out of reach just a few minutes ago was not quite literally cradled in your arms. “You are both so unbelievable. Yes, I’ll happily be your girlfriend and yes you may flirt with me.”
Barty popped his head back up from your neck, lips somewhat swollen despite being stretched wide. “Fucking finally.”
“You say that as if I was the one holding back,” you teased, poking him in the chest.
“And while I will lay down and take a sword to the chest for ever believing I was not mad about you,” Barty began. “I think there is also something to be said about little miss run away and completely shut away any and all feelings and compliments.”
You hummed as if in thought. “No, I don’t think so.”
Regulus snorted in that way he only ever did around you two. Then, he reached out and gave you two, three kisses in a row, grinning all the while. “Sorry,” he mumbled. “Too cute.”
Barty, tactile as ever, was cradling your cheek in his hand, tracing the side of your nose with his index finger. “I want the court to know that I am absolutely mad about Regulus,” he started, smiling all the while. “But it was always you too, silly.”
Emboldened, you leaned forward and gave him a sweet kiss. “Glad to know it.”
“Now let’s make sure everyone else does too, yeah?”
