What do you think Bittergiggle's life would be like after being freed from being Naughtyfied and fixed up by Syringeon?

Do you think he has trauma? A subtle change in personality? Does anyone noticed these changes? How do they feel about his change? Who's the most affected by his change? And do you think Bittergiggle will have some 'episodes' from when he was Naughtyfied?

Ohhhh he has changed alright. If he wasn't vulnerable before, he is now.

His sass, quirky remarks and overall hyperactive self was replaced by a quiet, solemn and partly monotone attitude. When he's not trying to desperately cling to anyone, he mostly he just stares into space and zones out a lot of the time. I imagine that, when alone, his thoughts start to spiral down and he ends up undoing the threads that barely keep him together as a sort of punishment for well, killing his mother figure, destroying a great part of the facility, harming most of the people that he knew and loved... basically the mess from chapter 6-7. When he does find either the player or banban he's constantly begging for forgiveness thinking that if they do, all of his guilt and misery will disappear...just maybe.

As for what the others think about this new BG...it depends. Syringeon is more than delighted that he finally shut his mouth once and for all and couldn't be happier than to see him rot in misery after the destruction he caused. Banban pities him the most and doesn't mind him tagging along. The player is still somewhat disturbed by him as a whole but does sympathize with his situation. Tough she doesn't really like the idea of him tagging along.

#abd as for the episodes from when he was naughtified....i don't think that he has any #He does have a lot of nasty side effects tho #like the partial blindness kn his big eye and the teeth marks along his flesh #faceee rambles #gobb

Well it was bad.#i always underestimate how much i've improved in a year last may was questionable. also it's not even may any more so why mermaids now.#sorry if you remember this but at least half is new story. i'll just paste more explanation from twt....#first qifrey was cursed by EVIL WITCH eye taken and thrown into the sea #memory-less. then kind little witch boy oru found him on the beach & they became friends #they drifted apart after falling for each other bc qif knew he could never be with him.#oru walked on the beach every day for years hoping to see him again until so desperate he goes into the sea (on a ship?) & is dying #qifrey saved him with a kiss. they got closer &oru swore to find a way to save him that wasnt dangerous but qif knew hed need a dark witch.#(that witch was probably the one who cursed him..just toying with him...) in with the spell oru DOES forget him for real #even tho he needs to give Kiss Of True Love before qif turns totally blind for qif to stay human for good or become seafoam. but oru someho #the oldest magic is love..the ability to break through the curses of loneliness and despair. qif already did that for him #so oru was able to do it back later. he fell in love with him again..but also realised it was obviously him....well anyway......#originally the 'finding oru stranded like that guy in the little mermaid' was a separate au but it still makes sense to combine them #i dont want them to have not met in childhood...thats the orufrey thing....#im going to work on Proper drawings next instead of silly comics as usual....

decided AU!Peter gets glasses again in his early 20s after years of powering through vision problems brought on by increased light sensitivity + retaining some mild myopia post-spiderbite.

early on is simple. he thrifts some vintage frames and gets photochromic lenses (aka generic Transitions) put in. specifically the darker ones, so his lenses are always a little gray even inside.

(and now i need to edit some fics again) (lol)

the real question I'm asking myself now is what color lenses he has later, when he gets FF coverage in 2015; considering a lightly tinted minty blue-green in low light which turns a deep grayish green-black in bright sunlight (essentially green-gray transitions on top of a blue base) (also polarized) —

on the one hand, just get polarized sunglasses or clip-ons separately from a pair of regular non-tinted glasses, but on the other hand, as the saying goes: he'd lose his head if it wasn't attached to his neck.

but idk if he'd be willing to wear lovely jade-lensed glasses everywhere lmao — he's not kaine, after all!

#reasoning: polarization to counteract glare and lessen halation (only applies when lenses are dark)#blue-green to help balance contrast and color clarity and lighten shadows slightly when polarized + filter out some reds #tint in general to reduce the amount of light entering his eyes (though that also mostly only applies when lenses are dark tbh... hm)#came in through the window last night #assume that in this universe someone has essentially invented transitions xtractive polarized lenses 5 years earlier than irl #(xtractive is a dumb name btw. you're telling me it's pronounced “extra active” but all i see is “extractive”)#ben also has these problems but i've decided he just wears regular crappy $15 sunglasses inside #kaine also wears sunglasses inside but kaine wears $400 sunglasses and is also partially blind lol #plus for a while there he is basically living in his pink tarantula mask which probably helps block some light out #anyway contacts seems less than ideal because of the fact that his night vision is significantly clearer than his daylight vision #and having to keep track of something that small which he also has to keep clean is like............ idk about that....

Headsoup thoughts about Miguel and his early relationship with physical retaliation to bullies and fear, but man. Tyler Stone telling Miguel on the way to boarding school that if he does something to jeopardise George O’Hara’s chances for promotion on the back of Miguel’s efforts, it’s his fault when that anger is taken out on Conchata and Gabriel. Xina, who was only a child and didn’t know, trying to encourage Miguel to stand up for himself and hit back and him saying yeah he’s scared when she teases him. Miguel saying he wanted so badly to strike his father but was afraid he’d kill him, when he wanted George to suffer every indignity of age and decline.

#something something George’s very life prolonging procedures - had he lived - would’ve been at least partially paid for by the very #advancement he gained off Miguel’s back. and thus you would’ve had SOME hand in your father clinging to life #only for him to up and die on you #it also creates this interesting retrospective to how Miguel speaks of him letting Vulture splat #he reckons w the fact he views allowing vulture’s death as a just thing to do. to prevent suffering #idk idk SOMETHING in how miguel allowed himself to remain blind to alchemax’s atrocities and submitted (however waspishly) to the whims of #that authority #because being important to people felt good. only to have to reckon with the suffering he’s caused and rejecting being an agent of it #anymore. the fact that his physical retaliation against authority is rooted in protecting people - in being so angry about the suffering #being perpetuated there and being disgusted w himself for having been a part of it w his eyes closed #something something you finally hit back but it’s to protect #it’s not to oppress #you refuse to become your father #tunes talks 2099

I know the whole joke was that toph never got her life changing field trip with zuko, and I don't think it was ever mentioned if zuko had any vision loss from his burn, but I think it would've been really cool for them to have a little blindness bonding moment. like, when they're alone with each other and being awkward, zuko is like, "...I know it's not the same, but I'm partially blind in my left eye" and toph gets really excited before getting bashful and playing it off by making a joke and punching him in the arm

#the stakes were so much higher. they only had i think 3 people ever complete the course #and we saw one of the episodes where it finally happened. i don’t remember his name but he was a crab fisherman who i think was partially #blind in one eye #it was so much more exciting because we’d seen maybe 4 people attempt the final challenge before. after watching like 20 episodes #like No one made it #and if no one qualified for the final level then they’d just go back to the start with a new batch. it was so fair #and he threw himself up that rope with like a second to spare. it was so cool #and there was another dude who kept making it pretty far but i only remember him because he was obsessed with how athletic he was and very #proud of his body fat percentage so his nickname was mr 3% or san percento san
