Honestly I don't know if there's much more I can say about Aymeric and Kitali that I haven't already talked about at some point or another. I've posted their first meeting fic on ao3 and their tag is "pure azure" if you really want to go spelunking lol
They took a long time to come around on one another, her more so than him. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with him for a looooong time simply by being a politician. And it took a lot of work for him to grow out of his hero worship/idolisation of her as the Warrior of Light. And then sometime during the patches both Kitali and myself got fucking t-boned with Feelings for him, I remember the exact moment I felt my stomach drop and then the "oh. Oh no." moment happening. And now he's become an oasis for her in the midst of all the everything and they're celebrating their.....fourth? Anniversary? I need to work out an actual timeline at this point ffs. It still kinda baffles me at how their trajectory turned out, I had made an entire other alt specifically for Aymeric smooching purposes bc I thought they'd never work as a ship and now look at them. He's just too powerful.
