Summary: She was an unplanned baby that wasn't needed in their chaotic family, anathor member that would surely be forgotten or end up becoming anathor ruined individual. Who knows? All Trudy and Victor were keeping her for was to have some kind of balance between her brothers that Lester already failed to do properly. Nonetheless, she's still their child, and they'll do their best to raise her. Even though it means making sure that the demon child dosen’t come anywhere near her.

There was a noticeable sense of exhaustion and anxiety in the air when Trudy eventually had her newborn daughter out of her body in the middle of a peaceful suburban neighbourhood. The warm brightness of the sunlight streaming through their modest home's windows seemed to welcome the new family member. The infant, blissfully oblivious to the outside world, slept soundly while Trudy held her daughter in her arms. Her heart swelled with indifference, Trudy looked down at the small fingers and delicate features that seemed to hold the key to peace and a new beginning.

She did not feel a single ounce of motherhood with her daughter yet, but that wasn't news to her, she didn't feel that same motherly love for the twins or Lester either at first, not that she does now, but she still cared. The most love she could give out ended up with Victor and Vincent, and even then her love for them could turn out to be bitter at times. She loved her boy, and tolerated his face because she had to, however, a part of her wished that Vincent could have turned out to be different. She loved Victor for his intrests and how he would take care of her, nonetheless, sometimes his anger issues could piss her off. Especially since he did things that she couldn’t tolerate at times, but other than those moments, she loved being in his arms when she needed him.

Her mind suddenly drifted to the other twin, the one where her feelings where complicated. Beaurgard...or Bo which he prefers to be called. Where to even begin with her troublesome boy? A little monster that destroys anything he dosen’t like or come across. She doesn't understand why he's so aggressive, but she can understand what her boy wants from her. Yet even then she can't give it to him, because there's only so much Trudy can give before she feels like she dosen’t even want to try no longer. Trudy ain't no liar when it comes to love, she feels disgusted bothering to even do that. So when she tells Bo that she can't love him, it's not because she wants to be cruel, but it's because she believes that nobody could love him. So she makes sure that he knows that, to spare the heartache of him wanting to have something he can never receive.

When it comes to Lester, though, she believes her boy can get that, not that she cares about whatever he does. But because he hasn't done anything noteworthy in her book, yet he seems to be a good lucky person. Trudy dosen’t despise Lester, yet she dosen’t have enough affection to give to him. She will give him pocket money and a few head pats if he did well in school, but other than that, she dosen’t interact much with him. He's just an anathor one of her children. The one that was supposed to be the middle ground child, but instead just became the youngest, until now that is.

As Trudy watched her daughter snuggled around her chest area, she couldn't help but to think if her little girl was going to turn out like her. So far, none of her boys shows any symptoms of being like her, and because her baby was so abnormaly calm and quiet, she wondered if there was something wrong with her daughter too. Because if she was, she wasn't going to hesitate to speak to Victor about it so they can put her in a orphanage. They only have so much sanity and patience left, so if a baby girl dosen’t bring harmony in this household. Then she dosen’t deserve to stay in this family, it is harsh, but they didn't want her in the beginning anyways. The only reason as to why they kept her was because Trudy was already so late in her pregnancy, not to mention that their christian beliefs was strongly against abortion, so that's why she came into this world. To be the middle ground that Lester couldn’t be.

Trudy slowly put down the baby to Lester's old crib, as she carefully picked up the blanket to put on the girls stomach. Just staring at her for a long time as her thoughts drifted her further away from reality. Meanwhile, in the living room, Victor gathered their three boys, Vincent, Lester, and Bo, around him. He was a bit annoyed to establish some new ground rules, mainly because he was tired, but if he didn't remind them to ensure that their sister would be safe, then Trudy would nag him about it.

"Listen up, boys," Victor began, his tone firm yet pacific. "Your sister is very small and fragile. We need to take extra care of her. No loud noises, no jumping around when she's sleeping, and definitely no roughhousing." He paused, watching their faces as they absorbed his words. Lester nodded earnestly, while Vincent's brow furrowed under his mask in contemplation, trying to understand the weight of their father's concerns. However, as Victor continued, a cloud of tension hung over the discussion when he mentioned Bo. He leaned closer to his oldest son, his voice low but firm. “As for you Bo, you’re not allowed near the baby. Not ever. Do you understand? You’re not fit to be around her.” The air grew thick with unspoken emotions as Victor’s words could have been interpeted as protectiveness, but nobody could truly tell for sure.

Bo, taken aback by Victor’s words, felt a swell of indignation rise within him. “What do you mean I’m not allowed? That’s not fair!” He shot back, his tone laced with frustration. “I was allowed to be near Lester when he was a baby, and nobody said anything then! Why is it different now? Just because she’s a girl?” His eyes narrowed, reflecting a blend of hurt and defiance. Bo was no stranger to being scrutinized, but the sting of Victor’s words cut deeper than he expected. Victor’s eyes narrowed, his patience fraying as he countered, “This isn’t about gender, Bo! Besides, Lester was different. This is about responsibility and your chaotic behaviour. You think I care what you feel? Not once have you acted right. You’re a danger to her, to all of us!” His voice rose, echoing against the waxy figures frozen in time around them. The shadows flickered, almost as if they were absorbing the weight of the confrontation, the stillness amplifying the underlying chaos of their family dynamics.

Bo's eyes were widend for a second before he stayed silent and he looked down to the floor with his fists being clenched hardly. Bo's eyes were a bit glossy, as if he tried holding back tears that was threatening to spill out. Victor sighed in annoyance as he started walking away to take breather, leaving to the kitchen for a glass of water. Vincent, who stood a couple of steps behind Bo, slowly went up to his brother as he wanted to comfort him. However, the moment his hand went to his right shoulder, Bo shrugged him off, as he started to walk outside, not bothering sparing a glance at his brothers as he slammed the door behind him.

As the evening came by the corner, the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, Trudy felt a sense of foreboding. The soft coos of her baby girl filled the air, and for a fleeting moment, everything felt perfect. But then her thoughts drifted again to Bo. The concerns had not stemmed from a lack of love for him, but rather a deep-seated fear that he could disrupt the fragile balance of their lives.

It was a precarious situation, one that required careful handling. Trudy knew that the more they pushed Bo away, the more complicated their relationship would become. Yet, every fiber of her being screamed for caution. She envisioned her daughter growing up in a safe, nurturing environment, far removed from the chaos that Bo often embodied. Anathor scenario of a future where her daughter would grow up knowing her family, all of them—Bo included. Wouldn’t it be a shame to let fear dictate their lives and isolate someone who was, after all, blood? The dichotomy of longing and fear weighed heavily on her heart. Could they really keep their baby safe while maintaining some semblance of familial ties? After all, that's what Trudy always wanted, a perfect normal family. But even then, Trudy never believed she deserved it.

Victor entered the room, breaking her reverie. He leaned against the door frame, arms crossed, observing the peaceful scene before him. “She looks so pure,” he murmured, his gaze softening. Trudy nodded, she looked more innocent than any other baby she had seen. Perhaps it was because she was a girl, who knows?her daughter reminded her of an angel. But there was a heaviness in her heart that she couldn’t shake. “Do you ever think about Bo?” she asked cautiously, gauging his reaction.

Victor sighed, running a hand through his hair. “When is there a time that I dont? But we have to think about her first. We can’t take any risks.” His tone was resolute, but Trudy could sense the underlying conflict in his words. They were both scared—scared of what Bo could do, scared of their boys, scared of what could happen if they let their guard down.

“Maybe we should try to find a way to include him,” Trudy suggested, her voice barely above a whisper. “Not all the time, but perhaps we can give him a chance. He might surprise us.” Victor’s brow furrowed in thought. It was a bold suggestion, one that could potentially unravel the careful precautions they had put in place. But as he looked at his sleeping daughter, he couldn’t help but consider the possibility. Especially since deep down, he knew he couldn't keep his son away forever.

Days turned into nights, and life in the house continued to unfold. The reminder of the arrival of a newborn sister was not a cause for celebration but rather a burden to be borne. “Your a danger to her, to all of us!” His words echoed, tone sharp and unwavering. Bo, though hurt by the dismissal, tried to obey, spending his days wrestling with feelings of jealousy and confusion. But as the time flew by, he found himself drawn to the nursery, unable to shake the curiosity that bubbled within him. He waited until the house was wrapped in the heavy quiet of night, the rhythmic snores of his parents filtering from their room, a dull lullaby that seemed to dare him to move Each creak of the floorboards under his bare feet felt like a gunshot, a transgression that would surely bring his father's wrath. But the pull towards the nursery was stronger than fear, stronger even than the memory of Victor's harsh treatment. Slowly, carefully, he pushed the door open, the hinges making a tiny, protesting squeal that seemed deafening in the darkness.

Peering through the slightly ajar door, he was struck by a heartwarming sight: his little sister, no more than a few days old, had her little stomach going up and down in her light sleeping, moving around a times to possibly find a good sleeping position. In that moment, Bo felt a rush of intrest and wonder, overwhelming and pure, as he stepped into the room to see the little girl who had made quite the impression on his family. There, nestled amongst soft blankets, was his baby sister. He’d only glimpsed her briefly after his mother had birthed her in the parental bedroom, but this was different. She was no longer a blurry figure, she was real, she was there. He had expected her to be asleep, a quiet bundle, but the sound of his hesitant steps had disturbed her. Her eyes, still cloudy with sleep, blinked open, and she gazed up at him. They were unfocused, yes, but they were looking at him. Her tiny mouth formed a small ‘o’, and her hands, even smaller, were waving in the air as if reaching for him, small hands doing grabby motions, a silent invitation. Bo was frozen, his breath catching in his throat, his fear dissolving like frost in the morning sun. She was so, so small, and she was looking at him, not with anger or annoyance, but with a quiet curiosity that mirrored his own.

When he saw this small, defenceless creature, the ice that had grown around his heart and his fear of his father's censure appeared to momentarily vanish. It was a recognition embedded into the very fabric of their existence, a connection that went completely beyond words. He recognised her as his sister, his family, rather than as an item, something his father had cautioned him against. There were no rules, no worries, no Victor in this moment—just him and this small creature that was grabbing for him with all of her helpless strength. The desire to hold her, to protect her, to be near her, was like a wave that swept away any trace of fear or hesitancy. He had to do it, he had to be closer, he had to be her big brother.

His presence had not gone unnoticed, though Bo was unaware of it. Victor, who took great satisfaction in his attentive care, was already on high alert. Experience had taught him that babies frequently woke up at strange hours, their harsh cries piercing the still night, indicating discomfort, hunger, or simply the need for a reassuring presence. Just as he had obediently checked on Bo as a baby, he had intended to sneak into the nursery and see how his daughter was doing. Something stopped him while his hand was on the door doorknob. A glimmer of motion, a shadow in the nearly pitch-black chamber that wasn't part of the moonlight's shadows. His knuckles turned white as his palm gripped the doorknob and his breath caught. Anger rising like a flame, he looked through the door's slitted opening. Bo was standing above the bassinet, not observing from a distance as he had directed, but rather up close—too close for Victor's comfort and too close.

Victor was a man of firm and immediate action. His first instinct, honed by years of believing that discipline was the only way to correct a child, was to grab Bo, to punish him, to make him understand the gravity of his disobedience. His hand instinctively curled into a fist, ready to strike. But as he was about to launch the door open and storm inside, a memory surfaced, as clear as the moonlit room he was looking into. Trudy's gentle voice, her tired but hopeful eyes as she sat them all down a few days ago, “perhaps we can give him a chance. He might surprise us, Victor. Or maybe he'll ruin her. Either way, he's one stubborn brat.” Her remarks had been written off by Victor as motherly sentimentality, a gentle compassion he had never quite understood and that he had always been too quick to ignore. Instead of seeing it as a strength, he had perceived it as a problem. Trudy's voice, however, was a gentle contrast to his rising rage as he stood outside the room, his fist firmly clenched. He'd agreed to let her have this moment.

He stilled his hand, held back his rage, and watched. He witnessed Bo’s soft, hesitant movements, the gentle way he craned his neck to peer down at his baby sister, and then the way Bo moved to cradle his sister in his arms. He saw the raw, unfiltered tenderness in his son's face, a look of adoration and awe that was so pure it was almost painful to watch. Victor had not expected, nor has he ever seen such a raw emotion from his son. Even with all his years, he had never seen something so genuine and calm. It was a side of Bo, one that he had tried to find at one period, a side of Bo that he had not acknowledged, and was now being laid bare for him to see. It was a revelation, a crack in the walls that he had built around himself, around his family, around his son. Turns out the unplanned life wasn't a mistake after all. She had unintentionally soothed his troublesome demon child. All he had to do now was to make sure she wouldn't become one either.

Author's note: I'm planning on having this as a series if it does end up becoming well received, it all comes down to you guys, because I have had this idea around for a really long time now. Especially since I have been inspired by @loveandmurders' works when it comes to the House of Wax sister au, and I wanted to have my own take of this concept.

Dungeon meshi idea that's been in my brain pt 1

imagine Liaos' monster eating fantasies start to go farther now that he's actually able to indulge in them, nothing crazy but eating more alive things is in the back of his head, and as he spends more time in the dungeon it gets worse, now imagine a monster that gets by from possessing bigger creatures, making them eat more, and it takes the nutrients while making it's host more durable, said monster sees Liaos is the biggest member in the party and takes action, Liaos decides to keep it a secret, not knowing exactly what the monster is but wanting to learn about it while not scaring his party members, almost emediatly his jaw starts to be able to open wider, and swallowing more at once doesn't hurt his throat, after the groups normal meal he still feels hungry, he's a little farther than the group when he sees a small monster run by, without having to think about it he catches it and hesitates for just a moment before swallowing it whole, hes shocked at first, he didn't mean to eat it alive, sure he had thought about it but he never thought he actually could do it, he's thrilled and decides to tell his party, not really realizing they'd be horrified, but when he tries to tell them his voice cuts out without permission, the monster that's possessing him, the thing that made it possible, doesn't want them to know, it won't let him tell them, he can feel his spontaneous meal still squirming for awhile but only he gets to know about it, he's not hungry by the next time they eat, which the party finds strange but chooses not to comment on, the next time Liaos' finds himself hungry, he's practically lost all intrest in cooking, he wants something moving, something that'll squirm, something bigger than last time, while senshi prepares the groups lunch, Liaos excuses himself from the party, and goes to hunt something that'll actually fill him, though senshis cooking is still much appreciated, it's just not enough, eventually Liaos is able to find a lone monster, bigger than the last one, but to big, his mouth waters and while every reasonable part of him tells him it's not possible for a tall man to eat something so big, his body is telling him he needs it in his stomach as soon as possible, he and the monster struggle but soon enough only Liaos is left in the room, his belly pressing tightly against his armor with the monster inside still fighting, he's completely enamored by the feeling, amazed at what the monster possessing his body allowed him to do, he's having the time of his life and wants to know just how big of a meal he can eat when suddenly his post meal bliss is interrupted, Chilchuck had gone to find him since he had been gone for awhile, Liaos was worried for a moment before realizing his armor hid his meal from the half foot, though Chilchuck does seem nervous apon approaching him, neither bring it up, Liaos only eats a small portion of what senshi made, concerning Marcille and Senshi, but Chilchuck seems more anxious than concerned, he's never sat so far from Liaos before, not even when he was mad at him, Liaos eats very little, only a few bites for the next two meals since the monster is keeping him full, his focus turns to Chilchuck, the half foot simply refuses to be near him now, Liaos begins to worry he might know, but he doesn't understand how he could, he was sneaky, no one knew, but here Chilchuck was, nervous, vulnerable, avoident, suspicious of him, small, tasty looking... wait what? Liaos is stunned by his own thoughts, and hes drooling, Maybe that's why Chilchucks nervous, he was staring him down all dinner and breakfast, he didn't know Liaos was eating live monsters, his secrets safe, but he is starting to get a bit hungry again, he'll need to eat but he's sure he'll find something big enough, about a day passes of only eating things Senshis made with no luck as the only monsters they ran into were to big to eat whole, all the fighting makes him feel like he's starving, senshis cooking just isn't enough

🪷 Niran is overjoyed when Satya tells him the news, but holds his excitement to get an idea of how she feels about it first.

💎 Satya is understandably overwhelmed by it all, but one look at Niran and she can tell how excited he is, which warms her heart.

🪷 How do you feel about this dearest?

💎 Nervous. It’s a lot to comprehend. But I am happy.

🪷 He dotes on Satya, which at first she finds annoying. She can’t even stand without him asking what she needs. He’s always asking if he can get her anything, always so willing to do whatever he can!

💎 Satya leans to accept it, she knows he only means well, no matter how annoying it can be. She’s asked him to tone it down countless times, but she is his pregnant wife and he will spoil her.

🪷 They make adjustments in their relationship to help with the huge change. Niran learns how to effectively handle her mood swings, always on hand with a smile or tissues for any meltdowns or affectionate she wants to give. Satya tries to be more understanding, forgiving smaller things that once irritated her. He’s trying and that’s all she can ask.

💎 Morning sickness is awful for her, and she dreads it. She often wakes Niran up if she can, and asks him to rub her back whilst she vomits. He’s more than happy to do so, no matter how long it takes.

🪷 He goes to all the appointments, and is way more excited than she is at first. He loves to see their little bundle of joy on the screen. Such a small little thing.

💎 Satya likes to see his reaction, it makes her smile. She also likes to know everything and anything about what’s to be expected. Asking lots of questions to the midwife, no matter how strange the question may be. She likes to know her baby is healthy, and if there’s anything she needs to do to ensure it remains that way.

💎 Yes. She stares at the screen in awe, which Niran adores.

🪷 Niran reconnects more with his family, telling them the good news. His family are over the moon for them both, and this just brings on more affection and attention for Satya. They adore their daughter/sister in law, especially his sister and mother. They love spending time with her and giving her advice and spoiling her as much as Niran does.

💎 She was worried about the changes that came with pregnancy. As her bump grew, she found herself no longer fitting into her comfort clothes, and it upset her. Niran is always on hand to comfort her, and gives her his clothes to wear whilst he takes her shopping for more. His clothes bring her a lot of comfort and he even lets her keep a few pieces.

🪷 Niran loves everything about her during pregnancy. She has that beautiful and radiant pregnancy glow. Her skin looks plump and hydrated, perfectly clear with no blemishes. She’s a little more affectionate with him at times too and he loves that.

💎 She starts nesting behaviour, wanting to clean their home from top to bottom. Everything must remain spotless, and in its place. She clears out their spare room and turns it into a nursery for their baby. Niran gets home and is a little shocked and concerned that she managed to do so much on her on. He tries his best to keep the place clean and tidy. She scolds him for not doing his dishes AGAIN.

🪷 When the baby begins kicking, Satya says nothing, instead grasping Niran’s hand and placing it on top of her stomach.

💎 She watches him carefully as his face lights up realising what was going on. She had been feeling it for a few days and was happy to finally have him witness it too. It’s a special moment for the couple and they love moments like this.

🪷 Niran panics when Satya goes into labour. She’s oddly calm and collected, she had researched everything about what to expect and was happy in that knowledge. She had been sending him information on what to expect, but of course he never read it.

💎 She watches as he runs around grabbing his keys and their hospital bags. He rushes around, dropping things as he goes, his brain running a million miles an hour.

🪷 Where are the keys?! Do we have everything!! Are you feeling okay!? DO YOU HAVE THE KEYS??

💎 It’s fine Niran. Please relax.

🪷 He is there for her every step of the way and never stops with the praise. He tells her how amazing she is, how brave, how much he loves her and their baby. He remains her constant, never leaving her side, not for one second.

🪷 You can do this! You have accomplished so much in your life, this is one more thing to add to that list! I’m so proud of you Satya! Keep going!

💎 She’s close to shutting down a few times but hearing Niran’s sweet words are enough to keep her calm. She hates the idea of many people touching her and entering her personal space, but Niran is quick to explain to anyone her needs, and never stops advocating for her safety and comfort.

🪷 He ugly cries as their baby is born, kissing Satya’s cheek right away and sobbing about how cute their little one is. He can’t wait to cuddle with their child, but absolutely wants Satya to hold the baby first, since she did all the hard work.

💎 She is overwhelmed for sure, but all that stress and pain melts away the second she holds her baby in her arms. A few tears stream down her face as she talks to her baby.

🪷 Squeals softly when she hands him their baby. Their child is the most amazing thing he has ever helped create, and he invented living light!! He can’t stop staring at their beautiful bundle, giggling softly about how much they look like Satya, which she disagrees on fundamentally.

🪷 I’m going to love and protect you with all that I have. You will grow up with the best childhood and will never face the horrors that your mother and I have faced. You are very loved little one. Daddy loves you!

💎 Gets baby fever all other again watching Niran be the best dad. She loves to watch him play with their child, make Biolight flowers and be a nurturing force for them. She misses pregnancy too and finds creative ways to tell him she wants another.

🪷 He is all to happy to give her another baby, remarking how their child should have siblings after all. He grew up with siblings and they made his childhood somewhat easier.

🪷 They go on to have at least one more baby. They always wanted a little family and now the couple have that. They are truly happy. Just them and their adored kids.

Rewriting miraculous- Adrien agreste

[Note] Hey, hey! I wanted to start rewriting and designing miraculous for the fun of it. Please note that this is just for fun and giggles! I will try to keep the rewrite as close to the show as possible, at the same time I want to put as much of my ideas into it as I can. Also this is probably an angst au, because of my 3 am brainrot.

Adrien Agreste:

Look he isn't written good, I will say it as it is. Too much wasted potential, too much he is the love intrest not enough plot. I need more Adrien because the snippets of his personality he has are very Intresting, so we can work with that! But he is honestly kinda annoying at times at the same time he isn't, I don't know how to say it better, but that's how it is!

Backstory:

Adrien is a human child in this, not a senti-monster. His behaviour is all because of Gabriel, not because of some magical force. Adrien grew up in the Agreste household, with his mom Emily and his father Gabriel. Most would say they are loving towards one another, just until you look past the facade.

Emily is Gabriel's muse, his sunshine, his world his everything and the reason he adores his son so much is because he looks just like Emily, with his green eyes and blonde hair. But Gabriel hates Emily's twin with a burning passion. She looks just like his muse, at the same time she doesn't, she is ugly in his eyes, not comparable to his wonderful sun and so he forces Emily to cut of contact with her sister. Emily fights with Ģabriel about this, but Gabriel just responds by locking her up.

Emily tries to shield Adrien from this, telling him that Gabriel loves her and that he only wants to protect the two of them. Very soon in his life, Adrien is barely five, he first learns that his father's obsession is true love. (It actually isn't.)

Adrien looks at all the movies all starring Emily, all the pictures on the wall and Gabriel's obsessive jealousy as something good. Realising what she has done, Emily is devastated, devastated enough to risk something and that is bringing Nathalie back. Natalie desperately needs a heart transplant to survive and Emily does that, creating a heart with the peacock miraculous, ending up comatosed. (More to this when I am starting with the miraculous)

Gabriel is devastated by this because his wife slipped through his fingers like sand and completely abandonds Adrien in his grief, during the loss of his sun. (Luckily Natalie is there to help)

Gabriel actually thinks Emily was naive and that Natalie serves no other purpose than being his assistant. (He is delusional)

But back to Adrien, he first learns that love seems to equal obsession and then gets neglected, only for his father to come back into his life to plan every single step of it. Ever since Adrien is 8 he isn't allowed to pick his own clothes, style his hair or have a say in his own life. Luckily because of his mom and Natalie he actually was able to experience freedom of choice and doesn't think what Gabriel is doing is normal, at the same time he doesn't dare to speak out against anything.

His friendship with Chloe starts somewhere between the neglect and his loss of freedom. They both relate to eachother for having parents that either aren't there anymore or just neglect them, but unlike Chloe who only has her wealth to keep her company, Adrien has Natalie so he turns out a bit better than her.

His very first form of rebellion ever is going to school when he is fifteen. His dad still has a say in everything, but at least he can talk to other people, right? The thing is his classmates hate him at first, mainly because of Adriens behaviour. He wasn't ever part of the normal school kid society so he acts like he does in high society. No one liked that.

Adrien also tries his best to help Marinette who at first is totally against this, Marinette despises him, him and his behaviour. She compares him to Chloe.

Adrien actually needs some time until he becomes friends with Nino and Marinette, by trying to prove himself as a good person, but his fathers controlling and manipulative behaviour gets in the way. Lady bug will actually become his first friend, closely followed by Marinette.

Marinette becomes his friend after he protects her from Chloe, also developing a crush on him. Adrien falls in love with Lady Bug because he considered her amazing and while she is controlling, she is someone he idolised, which becomes the start of his possessive ness.

Personality as Adrien (season 1-3)

Oblivious: Adridens sheltered life stops him from picking up social cues, in a way you might not expect. He reads too much into everything. He has only ever interacted with the upper class, so he tries to interact with the normal people just exactly like he does with high society. Which causes a lot of things to fly over his head that would be said/ indicated by every day people.

Indecisive: Adrien was never allowed to pick something himself so he doesn't know how to react when someone asks him about what he would like for lunch, etc. The worst thing that happened because of this was that he almost was completely hated on by the class for not picking a side in a fight.

Possessive: Let me tell you, this guy is possessive of his friends, stuff anything! The mixture of seeing how his father was and the fact for the first time in his life he gets to make his own friends makes him loose control over his emotions occasionally. Nino would be the one to slowly bring him over to a more calmer path with his chill attitude.

Jealous: Ahaha, this ties in to the possessive ness and stems from his deep insecurity about the fact that his mother went missing (he blames himself) and that he is always so indecisive. He believes his friends can simply be snatched away. Which is stupid, he is a model, but still he feels like he just lacks everything. Kagami also has to suffer because of it

Helpful: Yes, despite everything Adrien is helpful. His mother taught him this and he won't ever, ever let it go. He tries to help anywhere he can whenever he can and in general is such a sweetheart!

Adrien as Chat noir:

Joyful, cocky, funny: do I have to explain in detail why? Marinette becoming Lady Bug gave her something to do, a responsibility. Adrien gets freedom, freedom he wished for so desperately secretly. As Chat noir he lives out the emotions he has to hide for his father and he can finally be himself

Possessive and jealous: Lady Bug is the sun as one would call it, less love more obsession. Suprise suprise I guess. For him lady Bug is what Emily was to Gabriel, a light in the Darkness. (Though Marinette still has more in common with Gabriel considered that she thinks of Adrien as her muse at some point.) Chat noir is helplessly in "love" and he wants to claim his possession.

Loud, obnoxious: This guy goes wild, he does the craziest stunts and just flings through the air cackling loudly to himself. For the first time in his life he wants to be seen and heard. Everyone admires him for the self he never was able to show and he enjoyed every second of it.

Insecure: needing reassurance daily that he isn't a useless side piece. Occasionally when his real life hits too hard he also doubts himself as chat noir and when villains find the right spot to hit it is over for chat noir with his incredibly fragile ego. Because chat noir is the most vulnerable part of Adrien.

Adrien "Chat Noir" Agreste season 4 and up

It takes longer for him to mature in the way lady Bug does and so does connecting his two sides. After a while though Adriens overcomes his insecurities and more, he heals from the neglect and even calls out his father occasionally when the latter is being unreasonable.

He becomes less jealous and possessive and learns about the correct way to love someone, just like Marinette does. Adrien even apologises to Kagami, who has of course never harboured any resentment towards him, but is relieved about it anyways.

Chat noir also stops clinging to Lady Bug as much and let's her do her own thing without feeling insecure in the eye of the other heroes. He knows he is capable now and he loves himself. (Though he developed a bit of an ego)

Art

Soo, Adriens human design looks way different when it does in the show, but that has a reason! Gabriel uses him as an walking advertisement and Adrien is forced to look perfect every where he does. No jogging pants or sweatshirt for him. His hair is styled and so ar his clothes. (Not by him)

Chat noir is silly. The black fur an his arms and Legs that act like leg warmers over to his hair, everything just looks a bit less than Adrien Agreste. The little bell makes noise, but the suit looks dark, perfectly matched together, not really special. A reflection of how he views himself. His costume does change after his personality does, but he is one of the rare users where the more power you have the more you look like the animal your miraculous represents and the it also reflects your personality don't clash that much.

Heroes of Chaos Review

Second book about Liao Hua's life in Baptiste Pinson Wu's series, covering 190-196. Three parts (plus epilogue) for this tale.

The battles are better, Huluo Gate for example is very well done and dramatic, one gets the sense of the power of a certain mighty warrior, also some very good playing into how the central plain figures feel about the figures of the north like Dong Zhuo and the fear of tribes. Also Zhang Fei still amuses me.

The battles tend to be well done, varied in style with a sense of tactics (and competent opponents) but fairly short with focus on what it means for Liao Hua, his role in it. With the early part of the civil war (the title should give a hint which early warlord this focuses one), there was a risk of battles dominating but it avoids that, the battles are enjoyable but are carefully spaced.

If Liao Hua in the first book is a growing child, learning and not able to take up arms, this second is Liao Hua as a young soldier. Confident in his abilities, in his lord but with a lot to learn (and not always appreciating that). The training allows to build new characters around Liao Hua and bring in figures like sergeant-major Yu Jin and some adviser figures while figures like Xu Chu, Lady Bian (love their scenes) and Cao Ang remain. While you see the efforts being made to become an army that can fight, the sense of improvement as a miliatry man for Liao Hua and others.

I even liked Chen Gong. For which I can almost forgive Baptiste.

His chosen master who is not quite the smooth rising figure that the novel paints him as while still being a charismatic and wily figure, he is error prone and emotional. Brilliant and clever but like Liao Hua, though older, still also with much to learn and one sees his journey and development progressing.

The ability of characters to grow, to learn, to change is very much still there, just changed to a miliatry situation. While also not shirking away from this being a period of warfare, including one of the most brutal camapigns of the time is covered in this book, but balancing it with little moments for characters to celebrate, a bit of humour, an awareness from the characters at what is going on.

Baptiste does well in ensuring outside events and wider land situation is properly presented while keeping the tale focused on Liao Hua and friends. Of why certain events matter, leaving little bread-crumbs for events to come for the history fan (and I think people who aren't aware of the histories will like the teases/foreshadowing) while letting there be surprises.

While there was one thing that I felt hadn't quite built up enough in parts 1 and 2 for the moment in part 3 to have the impact it was going for, there is enough about it for me to look forward to how it unfolds. Generally through, it has really built well into setting up book three and how events will play out.

For history fans, there remains the fun cameo's of lesser known figures (Chu Gong in book one for example) to spot, some figures that get a little sidelined usually are done in intresting ways (there is a certain Han figure I was really pleased with how he was done), great foreshadowing (particularly around Liao Hua the narrator), it is nice seeing neglected parts of Cao Cao's early time in Yan covered and there are lovely cultural touches. Liao Hua does, given this is a novel about Liao Hua, have a more prominent role (though not all he does succeeds) and Baptiste does add some fiction of his own but would say, with the two books, he has earned the right to see how those changes play off in long term.

So yeah, I enjoyed the second novel. The long term development goes well, I like many of the characters, I enjoy the moments we spend with elderly Liao Hua and I am looking forward to book three and seeing how certain things play out.

Next up for Warner Bros Animation, favorite character from the 2019-21 era (which was also the point when they start pivoting to streaming and put most of their shows on streaming at that point, notable Max): DC Super Hero Girls 2019, Scooby Doo and Guess Who, Green Eggs and Ham 2019, Harley Quinn, ThunderCats Roar (currently the last show they produced for Cartoon Network, the rest either being on Adult Swim or premiering on Max first before CN reruns them), Looney Tunes Cartoons, Animaniacs 2020, Tom & Jerry in New York, and Jellystone?

Okay so we can take out Harley Quinn (I know suprising coming from me being a fan of both venture bros and dc comics), Thundercats Roar, Looney Tunes Cartoons and Tom and Jerry in New York (Again suprising coming from me but neither looked all that intresting.. through the day the earth blew up looks dope)

Dc Super Hero Girls: Diana, being enthusastic, adorable yet still herself. It helps they adapted her adopted mom in all but name Julia from the comics. The show itself is.. okay. I love the animation style, ti's vibrant and intresting and the main cast is likeable, Lauren Faust has a knack for that and picking a faviorite was indeed hard, revamping the characters as both more humorous but still layred and essentially following up Lauren Faust's shorts for DC Nation. And while I haven't seen the episode they did adapt my boy ted kord well. It's a nice female focused adaptation without feeling pandering for the most part. It lets our heroines be throughly huamn and throughly hilarous while also kicking plenty of ass.

That said there's that most part: some characters are made into just plain assholes. It works for Hal Jordan as Hal has some toxic masculinity in him, but you also get Clark being a bit of a showoff and Dick Grayson being a giant spoiled prick. I'm not askign for dickbabs, this series isn't about romance and Babs has romantic tension with harely instead in this continuity. We're good. But being a fan of dicks you don't have to make him the world's biggest asshole and even jason or damien wouldn't of really fit the snotty brat they try to make robin into. I haven't seen harely but it seems like they already did the robin as a brat thing better with damien. I"m also annoyed at wasting the rest of the titans. But that's a me thing and I get it if ti dosen't bother everyone. The show on the whole was solid, is something I hope streams again so I can give a second chance.

Scooby Doo and Guess Who: Morgan Freeman, who narrates his whole episode. The Last scooby doo series till last year and the last traditional one for now as both Velma and GoGo Mystery Machine! take diffrent routes. (The latter is just in concept art and announcment at the time of this but an anime take on scooby and shaggy riding with a new gag in japan isn't same as it ever was. It is awesome)

Guess Who is decent, keeping the wackiness from Be Cool, including Axl Rose being indiana jones, Billy Dee Willams running a cool school, the gang's own voice actors guest starring and of course as @jess-the-vampire likes to bring up Christan Slater being the monster to try and hook up with his high school crush in a musical episode. It's a fun series that can be forgetable bu thas more than enough good guest spots to be great. It's a bit of a step down from the last two, but still not bad at all. Though I do resent it trying to make hold the phone Fred's catchphrase. He used it a few times in other series but it's never going to be a thing fredrick!

Green Eggs and Ham: I revewied a few episodes of this and it was.. fine. The series just didn't do it for me as it felt like it was siding too hard against guy. It was still decent and i'm glad it got two seasons.

Animaniacs 2020: I talked about this before, and looks like I will again. Faviorites wise it's easily Starbox and Cindy, which not only has a great theme song, but is also a better version of buttons nad mindy, as Starbox gets abused a lot.. but is also trying to conquer earth, so a little girl blathering to him and putting him through stuff ifnnocently fits better than with Mindy's terrible mom or Elmyra from the sister show.

The show itself is.. fine. The problem is a lack of variety. The bulk of episodes are a warners segment or two, pinky and the brain then more warners. The segments aren't bad, the warners are still fresh and while some segments fail due to trying to hard to be topical in a medium where that's really hard to pull off if you don't have south park production times (Futurama falls into this trap a lot in it's two revivials, though the current hulu era is mostly better about it), with the trump jokes feeling tired. Especially looking back on them now after he went on a rant about immigrants eating dogs and previously this year called a fictional cannibal a fine human being with the assumption he's a real person. The new segments are great, but aren't used enough and the old ones are gone for reasons that aren't clear. While they might've been waiting on reception, that's a bad move when you don't have a ton of segments. Pinky and the Brain is great, and carriede i'ts own series, but gets tiring when binging, something they simply didn't think of and hurt the show. The shows fine but it's also a reboot that I liked at first but when season 2 iddn't bother ot evolve, just couldn't stick with.

Jellystone: Jabberjaw, whose a fantastic rework and while her gimmick of chasing men could get old, it's seen as an issue in universe and not a healthy thing, to the point of bein gthe focus of a season 3 episode. The show as a whole.. is amazing. one of the best reboots and one of the proofs youc an do a good one, mashing CH Greenblat's wacky tendencies with classic hannah barbera characters. PIcking a faviorite is tough from sardonic loopy loop, to the awkard voiced by greenblaht himself boo boo to doggy daddy whose apparently lived thorugh every disney movie. The series is packed with love for hannah barbera's rich history, cameos and great voice acting. It's hilarous, wonderful and well worth your time. I still need to finish season 3 but so far it's great.

The Sand Siblings are such an afterthought in Naruto, that they don't even have a last name. The best we can surmise is that their family name is "Kazekage." As the Kazekage title in Sunagakure is an inherited title, unlike Konoha where they just pick the strongest dude.

We dont know enough to know definitively how Rasa's parenting truely was with all of his children. Nor do we know what it was like before his wife died. Honestly, from what we have seen, I don't think he was that bad of a parent.

Now, no parent is winning parent of the year in Naruto. They all passed down generational trauma to their children. That's kinda the whole point of Naruto. But what's intresting about all of the ones we see, is it seems like all the parents are all trying to break the cycle as well. We see this with Fugaku when he constantly forgives Konoha(until he dossnt). We see this with Hiashi, when he merely exiles Hinata but doesn't make her join the second branch family. We even see this with Rasa when he keeps all of his kids together and waits until they are appropriate ages to allow them to take the Chunin Exam.

In the Ninja Universe the "age of adulthood" is when someone passes their Chunin Exam. Once someone becomes a Chunin, they are seen fit for war. So Rasa delaying his children's assent into adulthood, can be seen as a loving act as well as a stratigc act.

Gaara's own accounts of his childhood, isn't the worst, given the world they live in. His father was very involved in his life. Obviously Gaara was raised in isolation. That has a lot of complex reasons, that even an older version of him understands.

Gaara mentioned being spoiled, considering how poor Sunagakure is said to be, thats an important detail. A 12 year old Gaara assumed this is mere appeasement to not get murdered. But honestly, it feels like the best Rasa could do in a shitty situation.

In Gaara's novel, he often refers Yashamaru as his parental figure. Gaara has almost no memories of his father, to the point he's even suprised that he remembered anything about his father. So even in his most isolated, Rasa made sure his son was with family and raised in a loving environment(again, until the trying to kill him thing).

Then we learn about the 6 assassination attempts on Gaara's life. That all failed. Except in the novel, we learn that Rasa apparently did come up with a technique he believed would kill Gaara. That he never used. Which on some level we can assume he never wanted to kill his own son. Rasa just put himself in a awful situation where he had to chose the saftey of his village or the saftey of his family.

If I'm going to be honest, I feel like the Kazekage household was more loving than most people think. Rasa never remarried. Gaara assumed it's because he loved his mother so much, he wouldn't.

But a big thing that points to it being more loving than we think, is how the siblings treat each other. Temari and Kankuro do love their brother. Even at his worst they tried to protect him. Considering everything, they are as close to their brother as they could be.

The few flashbacks we do get of their childhood, his siblings do try to comfort Gaara and spend time with him. Until, their father steps in and separated them.

Obviously there's some complexity to their relationship. They do still fear him. But, his siblings have an opportunity to kill him after Konoha Crush failed, and they don't take it. Instead they try to bring him to saftey.

Again, not killing people feels like a low bar, but it's the bar we have to work with.

Gaara also loves his siblings, enough to protect them. Gaara is shown to be a homicidal manaic, yet he never killed his siblings or his father. He even made attempts to separate himself from his siblings when it got bad. Which is why I beleive they were on a team together to begin with. Rasa knew they were the best option for everyone involved.

Which is why when Gaara does finally apologize to them, it is taken pretty well. After this apology we do see them growing even closer than they already were. Up to where Kankuro defends Gaara and believes hes gotten better.

Now none of this directly points to Rasa's parenting, but the fact that his three kids all value love and family even form early ages kinda suggests, it is a family vaule. They were all raised to care for eachother. Rasa probably wasn't the worst dad in Naruto.

I dont think there's ever actually any confirmation on what Rasa [fourth kazekages] relationship was like with his other children, cause thinking on it i dont remember any commentary from the other sand siblings on what their relationship was like with their dad.

certainly they don't seem too aggrieved that hes gone, but at the same time thats because originally the fourth kazekages death was a complete afterthought. relevant only in the sense it was an out from further suna konoha conflict, and by the time the sand siblings showed up again other things were more important/relevant to the story. when rasa showed up as an edo tensai could have presented that opportunity of learning what those relations were like, but rasa showing up again is solely for the gaara therapy hours so he can get some closure. in that moment rasa might as well not have had any other children and gaara might as well not have had any other siblings.

not that i think rasa being a shit dad to his other kids is unreasonable fanon [cause that is technically what it is with the main story being reluctant to comment any which way], as interesting as I find the man he is much like chiyo a cock, cause everyone in suna projects as much asshole energy outwards as possible. and his handling of gaara as a human being was deplorable, even if it also highlights the very real and unaddressed problems of the shinobi world and its values where human individuality, liberty and rights are sacrificed in the name of village prosperity and nation statehood [as opposed to just him being a cock].

but by that same token, I think all thats really confirmed about how he treated the other sand siblings is that he kept gaara forcibly separated from them. and if you separate gaara from the fandom woobification of him and think about it from the perspective of a military nation states leader it makes sense to keep your dangerous ticking timebomb unstable murder weapon away from the easily breakable children that represent the villages chances of future success. I'd almost call it good parenting even [bar that gaara is also his kid] to keep the children away from the unstable murder weapon that keeps accidentally maiming anyone it gets close to.

but i think a lot of that is kinda irrelevant to the actual discussion fandom seems interested in on this matter, because I don't think most people headcannon rasa as a bad father to temari and kankuro based on the patterns of his characters behaviour. I think most people do it out of this idea of "sand sibling solidarity". gaara's the baby woobie of the naruto fandom [its most widely accepted one anyways], and the sand sibling dynamic is a popular one. so its cathartic to blame any of their earlier problems/dysfunction and distaste for gaara on the big ol mean rasa/fourth kazekage.

and I think thats entirely too lame, cause it turns the sand siblings and their dynamic into temari and kankuro being gaaras generic yes men. a problem that does kinda intrinsically infect the original work mind, given that after the chunin exams the sand siblings disappear up until the sasuke retrieval missions ending at which point they're all suddenly buddy buddy with each other. but thats something that was a consequence of time and narrative flow, keeping the story focused and all. but fanfiction offers the opportunity to flesh these things out, and theres some real interesting ground in how the sand siblings transition from being completely fucking terrified [for fairly understandable and reasonable reasons] of gaara to being his pillars of support as kazekage following the [partial] failure of konoha crush. reducing it to rasa being the evil bad man who kept them separated when they actually wanted to be gaaras friends all along, is such a waste though.

Hyunsoo x Reader

Summary: Hyunsoo is about to end it all but the thought of you stops him.

Warnings: suicide attempt, mentions of violence, self harm and depression

Hyunsoo found himself entering the first building he saw, he was tired. He was sick and tired of life. Every time he went to sleep, he wished he never woke up. He wanted to end his miserable life. He was good for nothing and always disappointed everyone around him. He just wanted to be a better person but he ended up hating himself.

He stood at the edge of the building’s rooftop, staring at the ground. If he jumped he wouldn’t be able to survive. That’s what he wanted, right? That’s what everyone wanted, right? Not you, you didn’t want him to die and he knew it. He shook the thought of you. He wouldn’t be able to do it if you stayed on his mind longer.

Instead, he reminded himself of all the times he got beaten up for literally nothing, all the times his sister was embarassed to be related to him and the fact that his parents knew what he was going through but never helped him. All these made scars in his heart, him making them visible on his arm. Every time he made another mistake or felt horrible, he would add another one. Tears flowed down his cheeks at the memories.

Why did everyone hate him? It didn’t make sense to him, maybe he was that bad of a person. But then again, you always reminded him that you were thankful he was still here and how proud you were of him. He didn’t understand why, he did nothing to make you proud of him.

He started sobbing while taking a few steps back, why are you so happy every time you hang out together? Why did you show him your brightest smiles? You couldn’t be faking it, it was too much work to do. No one cared for him so why did you? What did you see in him?

He sat on the ground, knees close to his chest. He didn’t stop crying, his sobs got louder as random happy memories of you two flashed through his mind. Like that day when you started playing games with him just because it was the only thing he was intrested in. You bringing him food once in a while, scolding him for not eating for days. The way you held him in your arms whenever he was down, sad or troubled.

He liked what he felt during these moments, they made him want to keep on living. He pulled out his phone, a few tears dropping on the black screen. Did he really deserve someone like you? You were the best thing that happened to him, you were too kind to someone like him. 

He dialed your number, placing the speaker on his ear with shaking hands. He didn’t know what came over him but he needed to hear your voice. “Hi Hyunsoo, what-”

“Save me.”

You froze for a few seconds, he sounded too calm to be in danger. “What’s the matter, Hyun?”

He bit his bottom lip to prevent more tears from falling. He didn’t like being vulnerable in front of you, “C-can you meet me?”

“Yes of couse, just tell me where you are and I’ll come find you,” immediately on your feet, you ran to the location he told you. On the roof? You got so scared, did he try to jump? You couldn’t lose him, you didn’t want to.

Your ankles hurt from running but you didn’t stop, you needed to see him as soon as possible and make sure he was okay, physically at least. You opened the door to the rooftop, not seeing him anywhere. He couldn’t have left, he called you here after all.

He waited for you to notice him on the other corner of the roof, too afraid and ashamed to call you over. When you did, your heat felt at ease again. Hyunsoo’s heart feeling the same as you run to him. You gave him a bone crushing hug, he knew he must have scared you. He wished he hadn’t, all he could do to make you feel better was hug you back.

You didn’t know how to start. Ask him how he felt? Ask him if he was about to jump? Nothing felt right to say.

“I’m sorry, I must have scared you. Are you okay?” He was the first one to speak. He was so selfless it hurt your soul. He always cared for everyone around him but never got acknowledged nor praised for it.

“Stop asking about me! You’re the one who is hurting right now, why can’t you just say it?!” You pulled away from the hug to look into his eyes, which held so much pain. He sighed, it wasn’t easy for him to talk about his feelings but he had to since he called you here.

“Why are you proud of me?” He looked down at his feet, “I haven’t done anything that can make you proud of me.”

His words hurt you. He didn’t value himself enough, not at all to be exact. You cupped his cheeks to make him look at you. “I am proud of you because you are here today. Holding on for another 24 hours is not easy and I am so thankful I get to talk to you every day.” He started tearing up again, he knew you meant what you said and it made him feel a lot better. “You don’t see it but you are actually a very good person. The world is just bad.”

You wanted to cry too, the world was so unfair to him and it hurt to witness it. Hyunsoo felt acknowlegded for once, he wanted to be a better person and you just told him you saw him as one. He could trust you and believe your words. If such a genuine person thought he was a good person then it must be true. Moments with you was what he lived for, “I love you, Y/N. I am sorry for scaring you.”

“I love you too, Hyunsoo. Thank you for making me happy,” you embarced him in a tight hug. He did make you happy, you didn’t lie to make him feel better. He was pretty fun to be around, esepcially when it came to playing video games and having deep talks.

“I make you happy?” he mumbled into your neck, putting his arms around you. Hearing it would make him believe it completely, his brain and anxiety would accept the fact that he made someone happy in this miserable world of his.

“You make me happy, Cha Hyunsoo.” You ran your fingers through his hair, massaging his scalp. He hugged you tighter, enjoying your fingers on his hair. Affection is needed from time to time and you never missed the chance to show it to him.

“Then I will continue to make you happy so stay by my side,” he whispered, too tired and relaxed to speak louder. You smiled at his words, “Forever and always.”

Thank you very much! To be honest I don`t really analyse, I just write what comes to mind and if I feel motivated enough I might edit it once or twice before posting. I will however try to go more in depth with explanation (keep in mind that I haven`t watched Death Note in about one to two years) with my headcanons, of course including the once you suggested. Hope you like them!

Yandere Light analysis

Everything depends on the timing, did you meet before or after he got his hands on the Death Note? It`s a lot easier to catch his attention before, Light’s mental health somewhat intact and he`s a lot friendlier in mind and interactions. He`s more genuine and since his life revolves around academics your best bet is to try something in that direction. You can try to best him in something but it’s a lot less complicated if you ask him to help on a subject. Even then success is not guaranteed, as you should catch him before he fully focuses on the matter at hand so that he won`t find your interruption bothersome. Hopefully it`s something he wanted to review either way because in that case he`ll view it as an exercise and agree. If you proof yourself to be a willing learner and show that you’re trying your best as well as repeating this process you might call yourself his friend one day. You`ll find yourself talking to Light outside of studies and begin to spend time with him when the two of you need a breather. From then on you simply have to wait until he gets his Death Note because his mind will cling onto anything that could need protection and you, someone who has gone out of their way to befriend him, are perfect for that. 

Catching his interest after Light becomes Kira is a lot harder but once you`ve done it there is no way out with his sanity depending on you, even if he`d never admit it. A possibility would be if you work with L and act smart and kind, no hint of slyness detectable if you interact with him. In all cases you`d have to be someone he interacts with regularly, a constant that can not be removed anymore in his opinion.

All this had you interacting with him first, but for him to approach you, the same rule applies, that is that you are not a total stranger. I have mentioned it before in another post that being in his class and a sudden and noticeable change in attitude and behaviour as well as a certain demeanor towards him might catch his interest. In that case he`d approach you politely, using his popularity to find some stuff out about you while playing the perfect gentleman. He makes use of the rumours that sprung to live with his interest in you, acting all innocent while letting others subtly know that he likes you. Light will slowly worm his way into your life until you depend on him alone.

He’s a more traditional guy, but even here it depends on whether he has the Death Note or not. Either way he’s only going to ask you out once he’s sure that you like him back. The more stable Light will ask you when the two of you are hanging out, bringing up some event that he knows you would like and offer to take you there, as a date. Once you’re there he’ll make sure to act the full part of the gentleman, opening doors and giving you his jacket if it’s getting too cold. As soon as it’s over he’ll escort you back to your home and he can’t help but be prideful when you compliment his choice of occasion, after all it truly was wonderful and you’d like to do it again, right? After a few more dates he’ll officially ask you out, maybe even give you some flowers. Light will be delighted to finally call you his. The more unstable Light has a similar approach, though a lot more manipulation is involved. He’ll make sure to mention the place where he plans your first date to be multiple times, just enough for you to remember but not enough that it seems suspicious. It’ll be somewhere you’d like to go to, too and as soon as you mention that he’ll act surprised before suggesting that you two go together. Supposedly you two have a day off at the same time, isn’t that a surprise?

What makes BTS most vulnerable

Woo! A reading! I wanted to do this bc its been on my list for a little while now!

I just got off work and wanted to do this asap! Pls forgive mistakes! I'm not gonna proof read bc im lazy.

Cheeky disclaimer: this is for entertainment purposes and not to be taken as fact! This is my interpretation of the cards!!

So so so so

First off, I did each member and also one for the group! I didn't have a specific plan in mind when I started, so I just went with the flow!

Let's start with the group first

So. The 5 of pentacles is what makes them most vulnerable. This card talks about isolation, feeling lost, anxiety, not having money or influence. Most of all, a mindset of lack.

All of this to me makes me think that what makes them most vulnerable is the fear of being right back where they started. Feeling exiled from the industry, not having the funds to be sure of a stable future and also not having a strong sense of identity as a group and within the group. It's like their vulnerability comes from something almost like ptsd? Let me try to make that make more sense. I genuinely think that where they started and the uncertainty and constant ridicule really had an impact on them. The vulnerability they have as a group is essentially emotional distress? Like, I wish I had better words to explain. It's the fear that they haven't actually grown or gotten anywhere and that they are insignificant that is their vulnerability. Fear based on where they started?

I really hope that made sense. Moving on though, 7 of swords is how it manifests for them. This card is sneaky. It talks about getting away with something and betrayal but I think this meaning is the most relevant: strategic moves. So how their vulnerability manifests is that the fear that they have causes them (and the company) to make very specific moves to keep their fears from happening. It's like, they take steps to make sure their fears don't get realized. Career wise but also personally. They can sometimes force growth because they fear stagnation. Kinda like rolling something uphill? Once it loses momentum it starts rolling back down.

The other two cards, Wellness and busy times and multitasking, are what they can do to lessen that vulnerability. Keeping healthy in mind body and spirit (also keeping the group bond healthy too) as well as channeling their emotions and fears into productivity. (Think the ly:tear album)

Seokjin

This is really intresting. So, what makes him most vulnerable is repressed emotion that causes inner turmoil. The moon is all about your insides and the vastness it has. In its reverse it talks about the darker parts of your subconscious. So, him bottling shit up and repressing it becomes a monster that affects him without him even necessarily knowing.

As for how that manifest in his life, it literally affects his judgment. Like, literally. It messes with his decision making.

As a fellow human with a similar problem, I can almost bet that any issue he has with another member will be shoved away and it will fester until he's at his breaking point and he'll absolutely weaponize it but disguise it as "just poking fun" or he might also purposefully create low level chaos. It's really intresting because this could manifest in so many ways. It could be his insecurities, issues with other people, fears ect and they fester in his brain space fucking with his judgment.

What he can do to lessen this vulnerability is deep emotional healing. Istg these cards are too perfect to make up. He needs to do THE WORK and heal it. He probably recognizes this and is working on it. Its not fair to himself to put himself aside in order to put other people first. (I think this probably happened a lot in the early bts days bc he had to be an older brother and a responsible figure to 6 other kids so he prioritized group harmony over his own issues and emotions)

Yoongi

????

Um, okay. So what makes yoongi most vulnerable is the dark side of wealth. That's the 10 of pentacles rev. But it gets interesting bc the 10 of swords isn't what makes him vulnerable but it also isn't how it manifests?? So here's my theory time. What makes him most vulnerable is the dark side of wealth. I can only assume that it's the isolation and internal conflict of benefiting off of a system that fucked you over in the first half of your life and also feeling bad for having wealth that most people can never imagine? I really don't know? But with the 10 of swords talking about betrayal and deep wounds, it could be that he's extremely afraid of being taken advantage of? Like, that's another downside of wealth. Maybe people have tried to use him for money or influence? Especially in his personal life. Like, he probably finds it extremely hard to get close to people because he's afraid of betrayal over something that is already hard for him to deal with?

Also loss. He wasn't born rich. He worked his ass off to get what he has and he's probably afraid to lose it. He might "stash" money?

Anyway, knight of swords, how it manifests. This card is about a drive to succeed. So essentially this makes him run and push himself hard and harder and harder to out run what he sees as an inevitable end? Sometimes this can blind him.

As for what he can do to lessen this vulnerability, we have, self confidence through God confidence. This card to me talks about having faith in your actions and skills and trusting in yourself even if you doubt your ability. Essentially, yoongi just needs to trust in himself to land on his feet no matter what happens. Life is always uncertain so he needs to trust that he can weather any storm he might face.

Hoseok

This was one gave me some thoughts. So, similar to jin, it's the bottling shit up and having you subconscious mind eventually figure shit out because it's been neglected but with the 2 of swords in reverse, talking about confusion and being indecisive, I think this kinda causes him to shut down? He might get apathetic. It's almost like when you work a computer so hard that it crashes.

And how this manifests for him with the 3 of pentacles in reverse is that he gets thrown out of alignment with the group. Kinda like how you shouldn't drive on a flat tire. He withdraws and becomes hard to reach and puts up a wall that causes a lot of problems for him as well as those he is around. It's a defense mechanism. It can also manifest in him preferring to work alone as well instead of group settings.

This exposes him to depression and doubt.

Also similar to jin, for how to lessen this vulnerability we have Bless your heart with talks about reaching out (breaking down that wall) and healing your heart and healing the root issue.

Namjoon

Okay. This is the one that makes so much sense but also confuses me.

So. What makes him most vulnerable is the magician rev and 10 of cups. Unrealized potential and poor planning as well as love, harmony and alignment.

So.... what? How does love and the happiest happiness make him vulnerable?

Well, I think he's suspicious of it. I think that he can't help but wonder in his big big big brain if THIS is the right happy or if its really happiness at all? Almost like commitment issues but also not? It's like, he's afraid that it won't last? He might have trouble fully allowing himself happiness. Also, what makes him the most vulnerable is love. It opens up every bit of his soul and puts it on a laundry line for everyone to see and I don't think he thinks he's worthy enough to be seen like that?

As for how it manifests in his life, 9 of cups, personal fulfillment and a strive to have everything else in hislife sorted out? Essentially wanting to have a perfect foundation so eventually he can share with all the important people in his life.

As for what he can do. Value your self worth. pretty straight up. He needs to value himself more. He deserve love and he deserves to feel seen even if it's uncomfortable at first.

Jimin

Oki. What makes jimin most vulnerable is choice. The 7 of cups talks about focusing on what's best for you and making choices based not on illusion. I think jimin is plagued by unrealistic expectations and confronting the fact that it's not possible is what makes him most vulnerable. He makes choices that are driven by illusion. Usually about self. I think specifically about how he doesn't always see how good he already is so he pushes himself to chase after something that isn't always right for him or even there in the first place. Acknowledging and facing it brings vulnerability that he doesn't always want to face. I think he might equate vulnerability to powerlessness.

How it manifests. 9 of wands rev. Paranoia and being defensive. It's his own fear and insecurities manifesting outside of himself.

As for what he can do, passion and purpose and multifaceted. Focus on what is close to his heart and don't get side tracked. Theres so much more to this situation and there isn't an easy fix. There's a lot of things that need working on in order for him to feel comfortable.

Taehyung

Oki oki oki. What makes Tae most vulnerable is strength rev. Raw emotion. He doesn't always express his emotions and when he chooses to be more open, his emotions go through a bit of a filter. Showing his unfiltered emotions makes him most vulnerable because it's him as he is. In his truest form. It's all of his wants, joys, fears. Everything.

As for how it manifests, 10 of wands and Hanged man, it becomes a burden that he carries because he feels like he can't just be honest. He pauses and allows himself time to feel on his own but that means possibly being misunderstood and a bit isolated.

Now. What can he do to lessen it? Bless your heart and healthy communication in relationships. TALKING TO PEOPLE AND ALLOWING HIMSELF THAT VULNERABILITY. It's not bad to be vulnerable. Heal that shit bb bc you are worth it.

Jungkook

So, what makes him most vulnerable? The world in rev. Not having closure and seeking it. The process of seeking closure for himself about things that could have or putting to rest something that has come full circle. It brings vulnerability because he has to face things that he could have done better. He has to face things coming to a close and be okay with is.

How it manifests, the tower, ace of cups, 5 of cups reversed.

The tower is essentially everything crumbling down. I think jk thinks too much? If you follow a ball of yarn all the way to the end then you just unraveled a whole ass ball of yarn.

Him going to close those things cause him to unravel his foundation.

With the ace of cups, creativity and love/ new emotions, I think him taking the time to pursue personal closure helps him to be more open to love as well as giving him creative fuel.

The 5 of cups rev. Means that him doing this closure thing helps him to forgive himself bc he's taking time to move on and tie up loose ends?

For jk this closure thing manifests in every aspect of his like and I almost see it as him shedding? Sounds weird but he's consciously moving on and paying attention to what he needs?

As for what he can do? Deep emotional healing! He runs the risk of feeling more of the tower manifestation so he needs to keep himself emotionally healthy in order for this to be productive instead of destructive!

Okay, baby Aku isn't that good at showing emotions. Much less love. So, to show his affections, he does rather strange things. He might bring his darling the most random objects that he'll think his darling might like. Such as a cool shaped rock idk lmao. Or, he could just kill someone who was annoying his darling. I don't think he would really engage in anything physically himself. Or not until very later on. So I don't think he'd get very intense at all. He's more of a blushy boy I think.

Blood - How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Oh very messy. He doesn't care who he has to kill. Nothing is getting in the way of him and his darling. Absolutely nothing.

Cruelty - How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

I think he would be a very isolating yandere. He would take away most rights from his darling, locking them up and chaining them to something so he has a piece of mind that they won't can't escape. And I don't think he'd mock his darling at all!! He isn't one for joking anyway.

Darling - Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darlings will?

He would most definitely kill off any pesky family members or friends that get in the way. And I feel like he'd tell his darling too. He'd say something like, "I am going out to kill ___. Stay here." And then come back with blood all over him. He would also lock his darling up and make sure that they see nobody but him 24/7. Also punishments of course.

On the inside, he bares all of his heart to his darling. But he would hate for them too see that. He tries his best to hide it, he really does. But that doesn't really work. But his darling notices little slip ups here and there.

He would feel betrayed and hurt. Dazai betrayed him and left him, so you would do the same!! He also gets angry and lashes out at his darling. Yelling at them with almost tears in his eyes.

Game - Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

No. Not at all. His love for his darling is never a game to him. And he would never even give them an opportunity to escape.

Hell - What would be their darlings worst experience with them?

Probably if his darling ever said that they hated him, he would get really mad. He would probably physically punish his darling, beating them until they're batted and bruised. But after, when he's calmed down, he would regret it and maybe apologize to his darling.

He wants to be with his darling forever. He doesn't have an intrest in family, he just wants a life long partner that he can safely trust. Baby trust issues.

Not really. I mean, nobody in the Port Mafia would pick him to be the love crazy type, so I guess? And he is very strict on keeping his darling a secret from the rest of the Port Mafia. He would be embarrassed.

Physically. It's really the only way he knows how to. He tries his best not to overdo it, but sometimes if he's really mad, he'll get caught up in it and regret it later.

Basically every single one. Nobody but him can see his darling. Nobody can text them. Nobody can think about them. They can't think about anyone but him.

He tries so hard to be patient. But sometimes, he doesn't really understand why his darling is so scared of him. And if his darling manages to push the right buttons, it's really easy for him to loose his temper.

He would also try so hard to move on. But he can't. The Port Mafia would notice too. He would be even more closed off. He would lash out at people for no reason. He would never be able to move on.

He would always feel guilty about abducting his darling. But he quickly talks himself out of it. And he would never ever ever even think of letting his darling go.

I think because Dazai felt him, he tried to fill that void with his darling.

He hates it. He hates it so so much. Especially when it isn't supposed to happen. He understands how punishments can bring his darling to scream, cry and isolate themselves. But if it just happened out of the blue? He would try anything to fix it.

I feel like he actually loves his darling. Or he tries to. Or he has tricked himself into believing this is love. Very apologetic but also not? If that makes sense lol.

Probably if they put on a good enough act that he has made them so mentally unstable, he'd panic and send you to the doctor and his darling can probably escape there.

Anything and everything to win his darling. He is obsessed with them. He would risk everything for his darling.

A good while actually. He is so confused as to why he is so fixated on you, and he would like to know why before he kidnaps you. Probably a good six to nine months.

No. He loves his darling for them, not some emotionless, broken toy. He would be very careful not to break them.

sugawara koushi;

○ he tries his best to offer as much support as possible. he can’t say he understands a lot of it, but he absolutely sympathizes with you. you don’t have to worry a ton when you have more off days, or in the event you have rsd, that he’ll get upset with your feelings. he knows you genuinely can’t help it, and very rarely gets upset to point where he’d need a little distance from you

○ picks up on the concept of hyperfixations fairly easily. he can’t even begin to imagine how horrible it is - if one day he woke up and his passions meant nothing to him anymore. if you have a hard time making friends because of how quickly and intensely your interests change, he makes an effort to try and get into some of the new stuff you pick up. he can’t always guarantee he’ll like it or anything, but he’s always willing to listen to you infodump

○ if he spots any sort of fidget toy/stressball/etc, he’ll buy one for you. he’s not sure if they actually help you a lot, but you always seem super grateful for it. he’ll take notice of what ones you tend to reach for more and try to gear towards getting those ones for you

○ as patient as he is, he does have his moments where he can get overwhelmed with you. times where your impulsivity, aggression or other symptoms of neurodivergency become too much for him to handle can lead to him snapping a little. he’ll make sure to leave the room as he knows it’s not your fault and you don’t act like this on purpose, but he’s only human. he makes sure afterwards to let you know he’d never blame you for what you can’t help, and to not be too hard on yourself in these situations

nishinoya yuu;

○ there’s honestly a fair chance he had adhd himself, even if he doesn’t realize it. you’ve never explicitly said you think he is to his face, but sometimes you hint that the way you treat certain things is really similar

○ he’s a big believer that being spontaneous keeps a relationship fun and interesting, which is both a blessing and a curse. on some days, something new and unknown is exactly what you need to stimulate your brain and keep your attention. other days it’s hard to find purpose in doing anything at all, and keeping up with his energy proves to be difficult

○ he really doesn’t want to get annoyed with you, but it tends to happen pretty often. he recognizes you’re not purposefully trying to make him mad and in return he’ll try his hardest to never lash out at you. there’s been a few moments where it was just  impossible to control himself (another sign of someone who’s nd, you noted afterwards), but both of you understand each others grievances and are able to work past it

kageyama tobio;

○ at first, he’s not going to take you seriously. he’s the type to say that you're just avoiding your problems, making up excuses, overreacting. the “if you want to do something, then just do it” type of person. he doesn’t really think he’s coming off as being an asshole, but when there’s a very noticeable rift between the two of you, he starts racking his brain for what might’ve made you upset and eventually puts two and two together

○ it takes time, as many things like this do. you’ll have to really sit down and explain things to him, and he slowly starts to understand. he’ll tell you some of this stuff reminds him of himself before brushing it off and never questioning it again. you absolutely suspect he’s on the spectrum but won’t bring it up until he either asks you or starts thinking about it himself - which happens when you accidentally mention how volleyball seems to be his special intrest

○ it can be... difficult to say the least. he can’t really keep up all that well with sudden shifts and the irritability you often show over things that seemingly don’t matter. sometimes it’s hard for him to not take things personally, and the fact you two seem so similar in this regard raises a fair amount of problems. you both have to learn from the issues and work together to co-exist peacefully, but it’s very worth it in the end

tsukishima kei;

○ tsukishima will pick on almost anyone for almost anything. this is something he will absolutely never joke about. he made the mistake once early on - something about a test grade - and had to deal with your emotional outburst, following a meltdown, over how you tried so hard but nothing makes sense. you can’t just sit in a class and learn like he does, you’ll never be normal, never be good enough-

○ he had to stop the downward spiral in the middle of the sidewalk, but he was too shaken up to worry about embarrassment. that sort of reaction wasn’t normal by any means, and when he got home that night he tried looking into why exactly that happened. the complete shift in attitude the next day was jarring you to, but the genuine apology was even more jarring. he doesn’t apologize easily, but something about having made fun of a neurological disorder you’ve suffered with your whole life just doesn’t sit well in his stomach

○ he picks up extremely quickly, even for him. he’s very perceptive of when you’re more on-edge than usual and reminds himself to be patient with you. he’s not coddling in public (unless you’re having some sort of breakdown or panic attack) but it’s noticeable that he doesn’t make any sort of jabs at you like he does with most others

○ helps tutor you without any gripes. he won’t lie and say he gets how hard it is for you to understand certain concepts, but he’s aware things don’t come as easily to other people like it does to him. very thorough in explaining whatever you have difficulty with and tries coming up with real life examples to help it make more sense. if it does become too much for him (he’s still a high schooler regardless of how he acts), he’ll end the session and let you know it’s nobody’s fault 

kuroo tetsurou;

○ one of, if not at the top of the list, the best people to date if you’re neurodivergent. he takes this extremely seriously and doesn’t doubt you at all when you explain how it feels like everyday your disorder slowly rips you apart until there’s nothing left. every part of your life is affected by this and he wants to be able to help you feel as normal as possible despite everything weighing you down

○ puts a lot of time and research into your disorders. he wants to understand what’s helpful and what’s counterproductive without bothering you about it since he doesn’t know if you might react badly. he has a very good balance of figuring out how to help you cope in certain scenarios even if they’re not ideal and removing you from a situation where things are just too heavy for you to handle

○ he really stresses how important it is you talk to him about your boundaries, things you need, moments where you’re overwhelmed, etc. he can’t imagine life has been that easy for you thus far and tries to do everything he can, from helping with schoolwork, getting fidget toys, introducing you to new things that may help, and anything in between. he never wants you to feel as if you’re a burden or difficult because of what you can’t control, and will bend over backwards to prove it

kozume kenma;

○ kenma is fairly well versed in online topics and this is one that comes up often. given how perceptive he is towards the world around him, he was pretty easily able to figure out that something was different about you far before you started dating. he doesn’t speak about it much with you but does a lot behind-the-scenes to help make everyday life easier

○ given that kenma is always getting into new games and franchises, he’s able to help make the time in between hyperfixations more bearable. you had described to him how empty and monotone everything feels when you aren’t focused on something specific and he really hates picturing you so lifeless because your brain just won’t let you consume things normally. even if you aren’t playing the game so much as just watching his do it, he feels better knowing there’s something distracting you

○ something important to remember is that you’re not the only one who can act out or get overwhelmed easily. kenma hates being pushed out of his comfort zone and imagines it the same for you, so he makes sure to never put you in a place where you might face sensory overload or anything of the sort. he expects the same treatment back. infodumping is fine and he’ll nod and listen to you, but if there’s a point where you become suffocating then he’ll ask you to take a step back and give him a moment. wants to avoid triggering anything rsd-related so he’ll specify this isn’t your fault and that everyone makes him feel this way at some point

oikawa tooru;

○ quite possibly one of the worst people to go through this with you at the start. oikawa puts his soul into everything he does even if it shatters him, so some of your behaviors might not sit well with him. a lot of people who are neurodivergent have something they naturally excel in and in the same vein, end up dropping or disregarding because they no longer hyperfocus on it. it reminds him too much of a certain kouhai who had all the ability oikawa did with none of the years of practice it took him to get there, and puts a bad taste in your mouth

○ explain to him it’s not fair that he treats you in a way that implies you enjoy living like this, because you’d give anything to keep interests you have for longer than a few weeks or months, regardless of how much you try to force yourself to stay into it. he re-evaluates himself and realizes he’s in the wrong. he’ll never fully understand how it affects you but he’ll listen and learn about it, ask questions, study how he can help. he compares how you hyperfixate to how much he’ll focus on volleyball and knows this has to be an equally giving relationship in regards to respecting the other interests

○ he’ll have his moments where he can’t pretend that he’s able to handle your mood swings and inability to just sit down and pay attention to something. you tell him he wouldn’t be normal if he was somehow okay with everything you do. an afternoon where he practices in the gym by himself and you sit and binge watch something is good enough for some breathing room without causing any unclosable rift to appear. he’ll may sure he’s listening intently when he comes home and you go into detail about a new hobby of yours. he’s trying his absolute best, i promise you

bokuto koutaro;

○ it’s highly likely bokuto has adhd himself. it’s one of those things adults just say to kids when they’re being hyperactive without actually knowing all the things that come with having adhd, but the older bokuto got the more he looked into it and realized it might actually be a thing for him. there’s a lot of neurodivergent-related issues you have that sometimes fly over his head or he has to go back and think about again, but he’s the last person who ever wants to cause any issues for you

○ he’ll ask you questions regarding if you think he has adhd and some of the signs that make it recognizable. he’s terrified at the idea volleyball might just be a hyperfixation of his, but feels much better when you explain special interests and how if anything it would fall under that category for him. these conversations are a very intimate bonding moment for both of you, given how vulnerable you really have to be to let all your weaknesses be known without worry of ridicule. he wouldn’t trade the knowledge of having your trust so deeply for the world

○ bokuto, for as supportive as he is, can stimulate your brain in a bad way. he’s easily excitable and often has volume issues, and more than a few times has he triggered sensory overload for you. he feels horrible whenever it happens and wants to comfort you so badly, but knows the best thing is for him to just quiet down and leave you be. he never takes it personally and goes into “emo mode” because he knows how serious it can be. the only time he’ll get close in this moments is if you have a panic attack because of it in which case he tries helping you steady your breath and stop shaking. normally you’d hate being touched when you’re like this, but his arms and warmth work wonders for your psyche

tendou satori;

○ it’s terrifying how in-tune he is with you. it’s almost like you’re just talking about the weather instead of you trying to scratch the skin off your arm while your brain got the better of you. stimming, hyperfocusing, lack of interest, social interaction issues, you can talk to him about literally anything related to your neurodivergency and he’ll be on the exact same wavelength as you. he’s able to adapt very easily and can read your irritability, mood swings and any triggers you might have. is excellent at getting you out a situation before it becomes too much for you to bear

○ tendou is another character who always has something new to show you, so he’s also very good at filling the gap between hyperfixations. he’s somehow able to completely keep up with your infodumping and even will do something similar of the sort right back you. he loves finding new games and anime and will automatically partake in anything you show him. it really helps you mentally since you never feel like you’re talking too much or uncomfortably passionate about anything since he seems so genuinely interested in what you have to say

○ is extremely protective and defensive of you when it comes to others questioning why you act a certain way or do certain things. there’s probably a little bit of a personal tie there since he got bullied for being different when he was a kid, and he absolutely hates when people are derided because they don’t follow the falsely conceived notion of normalcy. you’re not harming anyone, why should it matter what you’re doing? if you’re insecure about stimming in public though, he invests in fidgets cubes for you to keep in your pockets to play with secretly so nobody notices anything out of the ordinary. his main goal is to make sure you’re happy no matter how much your head tries to tell your otherwise. really, he just loves you more than anything else

kita shinsuke;

○ if anyone else treated this the way mr. no gaps does, you’d absolutely freak out on them - but for some reason since it’s kita it comes off as comforting. he’s the type that doesn’t let you use disorders as a restriction or excuse to let yourself settle for mediocrity, but he makes it obvious that he wants to see you thrive despite the things holding you back. he’ll never put you in a situation he thinks will trigger any sort of attack, rather things he know you can handle if you put a little more faith in yourself and your abilities

○ if he sees you’re spiraling and can’t take any sort of outside forces interacting with you a ton then he’ll make sure you have a day or two off to yourself. he won’t criticize or ridicule you for anything and goes along with whatever whims you feel (or in same cases, don’t feel like doing anything at all.) understands there’s a very important balance you need to maintain in order to go through life feeling even semi-decent and doesn’t want to jeopardize any progress you’ve made towards helping yourself

○ likes to play casual volleyball in the backyard when you’re stable and attentive enough to understand what’s going on around you. if it becomes a hyperfixation of yours then he’ll be glad to go more in depth so long as it doesn’t hit a point where it’s damaging your ability to interact with anything else. he’s a big believer that moving your body and being outside helps relax you, even if you’re not enthusiastic at the moment about it. he won’t let anybody - not your family, not an outsider, not even yourself - look down on you for any disability you have

" Hawks. I'll ask you Nicely ok? Can you Please Please keep your distance from That New hero in your agency? That Foxy bimbo bitch what's her name again? " Y/n ranted narrowing her eyes towards Keigo who was casually lounging down on the couch with an amused look on his face.

" Now now Little Dove, I can't avoid her if you don't even know her name. But if I must say it then... Hmm" Keigo's eyes gleamed mischievously at the female in front of him as he uttered a word that made y/n go red with anger .

" Enchantress? "

" Keigo. " Y/n gave him a stern look and he just laughed at her face like it was a joke.

" Listen Kid. Looks like you gotta have another reality check. I can't avoid her because.... " Keigo paused his eyes never leaving y/n's angered face.

" Because? " Y/n growled impatiently as she crossed her arms.

" 1. We're Not even dating but here you are acting like you're MY girlfriend when you're clearly you're.... Not. " Keigo chuckled and y/n who knew that it was a fact flinched; feeling as if a million bricks were dropped on top of her head. The way he said it was like a harsh blow to the gut but she kept her usual strong expression.

" 2. We're working under the same agency so getting paired up with her isn't avoidable... Plus as her hero name states... She is enchanting " Keigo's smirk only grew as y/n's face became flushed with anger. Her eyes burning up dangerously as she gave a venomous glare at Keigo.

" And last but not the least... 3. I'm not interested in a first year kid. So chances of the two of us of ever dating is a Big fat No. Plus I think Enchantress is a lot more prettier than the average and if you ask me... I'd go after adults like her than Kids like you so stop acting like we're---" Although Keigo's Tone was indeed playful and the smirk on his face made it even more clearer. His words stung like hell.

Y/n who was visiting their agency and went straight up to his office to complain had taken in the harsh damages and blows. Yes she may be a first year brat in U.A but was it really terrible to love someone older than her by a few years?.

Apparently she was a little naive in terms of love so when Keigo saved her when she was still in middle school she fell in love. Who wouldn't? He's got undeniable charms, a pretty face , a well sculptured figure but most of all. He made her feel safe and protected, setting she never felt before so when she finally began studying in U.A she decided to pursue Hawks so it was very common for her to come by the agency. Almost everyone knows who she is by now.

So this was the usual; but it was the first time she walked out on Keigo who was still Talking.

Because it was honestly too much. After she confessed to him and started pursuing him, Keigo decided to be a Jerk and gave her a very hard time. When she'd come over to give him lunch he'd purposely fly away and call her to deliver it to a specific place but when she gets there he calls her again to either say that she was taking too long and left or he had 'accidentally' gave the wrong address and he needs her to send it on this one instead.

And he keeps doing that everytime. He even went as far as to go to another town to have her chasing him like a madman. Yet her determination never faltered. Something Hawks had came to acknowledge her for.

He sends her on wild goose chases and one time he gave her 3 wrong addresses even though he was only sitting in his office the whole time.

And if people think his wings are sharp then his words are sharper. He may be sweet to the media or the other people outside but when talking to her, his words are venomous, sarcastic, and over all it's just rude and pretty painful to hear.

How y/n had managed to stand strong until now was a mystery and everyone in the agency had grew to respect her for this but also carrying a little hatred for Hawks who purposely plays with her.

Keigo who was left in his office was speechless, he blinked a few times and even pinched himself to see if he was dreaming and when he found out that he wasn't he gave out a sigh.

It was quiet, far too quiet. His mind drifted off to y/n who had stormed out of his office awhile ago. Yes he was very much aware of the cruel treatment he was giving her but that's only because he wanted to see how persistent this girl was with her love for him, he thought she'd give up within the second time but when she never did he grew even more intrested and began testing her a lot more than intended and when he found out that her affection for him was too strong.

He didn't know what to do and began running away like a coward. It was wrong in so many levels. She was younger than him not to mention she's still studying in U.A, His job isn't necessarily designed to have a normal life and finding love and making a family IS normal, and he might die one day and he didn't want her to carry the burden of losing him so it's better to make her hate him.

But boy was he wrong when she kept coming back stronger than before. She was already forcing her way in his heart that he became distressed with his emotions.

And poof, he suddenly realized that he loved her back.

Something about her allured him to no ends and curse his animalistic instincts when it comes to mates because as much as he hates to admit it, he had already acknowledged her as a Mate. HIS mate. He can't help but be greedy and possessive of her, and the the mighty knows how many nights he had to lock himself in, restrain himself while his self control was being brutally tested on ; because with one wrong move he may have already infiltrated U.A causing a security distress, Crashed inside her dorm room , fucking bred her like a feral animal and claimed her like the pretty little mate she was.

Everytime he sees her, his control weakens and he had to hit himself and punch his face multiple times literally to remind himself that she was still a goddamn minor and he can't have his way with her yet.

She's not making it any easier for him so he developed a bad habit of taking it out on her because if his words can't do the talking then he might as well jump her bones and have her screaming his name.

Keigo groaned as he planted his palm on his forehead.

He was beginning to feel anxious. Like something bad was about to happen; something he didn't like at all.

He turned on the T.V and started reading through a few papers works but he couldn't hold himself back anymore.

He jumped out the window and began feverishly looking for the h/c haired girl.

" Fuck me and my Fucking Hormones... God.... Kid what have you done to me? " He mumbled but it came out as a growl instead. He was agitated, frantic and nervous, he couldn't get her out of his head even if he'd hit his head on a fucking billboard.

His eyes darting to every direction he knew she would take to get here. As creepy as it may sound but he knows every single route she'd take to get to his agency including the transportation she'd take to get there every time.

After some time he finally spotted her after dashing and flying at jet speed throughout the city like a mentally deranged patient he had finally spotted her .

A sigh of relief escaped his lips as he tried to regain his cool.

" Hey Kid" He yelled out once he was near enough and he got no answer.

Y/n had purposely ignored him. His words still rang inside her head and everytime she remembered. It made her heart clench in pain.

And when she heard her name being called out by the said Male . She wanted to turn around. hell she even wanted to run to him like a love sick little puppy but she can't let him see that she was crying.

So she ignored him and began walking at a faster pace.

" Oohh~ playing hard to get now aren't we? You know you gotta try harder. A little silent treatment isn't going to have me falling for you ya know" keigo casually stated with a hint of playfulness but he knew any better; he was desperate to have her attention back to him.

God, what did he do? Did she finally wake up and decided that she was sick of his bullshit treatment? Shit now what?.

After minutes of no answer Keigo began to feel frustrated and without thinking he landed behind her and grabbed her by the shoulder. only to whirl her around to face him.

" Kid---"

Keigo froze after seeing here blood shot eyes and tear stained cheeks.

He did it this time and he felt like a full blown jerk for doing this... For hurting her.

Y/n avoided any form of eye contact and placed her eyes on anywhere but him, lips quivering in a mixture of anger and sadness. She looked like a mess.

But Keigo thought otherwise though, he felt so sick of himself. The face she was making, teary eyes, flushed cheeks, quivering lips. It had disgustingly turned him on even though the situation screamed otherwise. His thoughts began to drift into the dirtiest part of his mind wondering if this face would be the reward he'd get if he'd have her under him, sprawled all over his sheets, sweaty and needy for him while crying-- no begging for him to give her more while he rearranged her guts. Damn he really was Messed up in every possible way.

He wanted to slap himself for thinking that way but a part of him couldn't blame himself because ever since she started coming over he had been so pent up it was a miracle he hadn't fucked her on the spot. And he didn't even have the guts to fuck another woman because he already acknowledged her as a mate; HIS mate.

He swallowed hard before forcing himself to speak.

" What's this? Now you're giving me a Sad and Pity worthy face? If you're making me feel guilty then it's working. I didn't think you'd stoop this low th---"

" Takami leave me alone. I don't want to see you right now, if you came here to insult me even further then just Go. " Y/n cut him off, she was unable to bring herself from listening to another one of his remarkable insults again when the wound was still fresh.

Keigo paused as his once playful stare began to change into a more intimidating and stern look.

' Leave you Alone? After what you've done to me? Oh~ what a naughty baby bird... No Never.... I'll keep this in mind when I finally claim you, I'll punish you for ever thinking of leaving' those thoughts circulated through Keigo's head as he silently stood there. Staring at her.

Y/n who was unable to handle the pressure tried to yank herself away from his hold but he had a grisly grip on her shoulders and his gaze managed to intimidate her enough to stop moving.

" Listen.... Y/n---"

" Senior Hawks! " Keigo was cut off from speaking and to top it all up he was taken by surprise and his reflexes kicked in; pushing y/n away quite harshly.

Their gazes were flung to the left where Enchantress, the new Hero in their agency was running towards them with a devious smile.

Keigo groaned and y/n rolled her eyes after seeing the pink haired female make her way towards them.

" Hey " Keigo muttered but again; he was caught by surprise when Enchantress had wrapped her arms around his while smiling proudly at y/n.

" Who's This Senior? " She asked pointing at y/n but the look on her face made it obvious that she already knew who y/n was.

" She's y/n...a fan" Keigo's persona shifted in a heartbeat and was now wearing his natural and charming smile.

" Oh? She's a Fan? Well nice to meet you. I'm the new Hero Enchantress, Say... You have a pretty face " Enchantress smirked making y/n fight back a scowl.

" Thanks " As much as y/n wanted to drop all the pleasantries and Immediately move to the part where she's ripping of Enchantress's left boob.... She can't.

So she decided to keep it neutral and gave Enchantress a small nod and a smile.

" You have a pretty face... But... Senior if you were given a chance to pick, which one of us would you choose? I wonder" Enchantress cheered innocently but her question got Hawks cornered.

She was doing this on purpose; placing him in a situation where he'd most likely fuck up and judging by the looks the two females were giving him... He can't smooth talk his way outta this. Not this time.

" Of course.... I'd pick you-- " Keigo's eyes we're settled on y/n but he pulled his gaze away from her and towards enchantress. " Enchantress" Keigo finished and The look of triumph on The pink haired female's face was floor-bash worthy.

Y/n stood in place, for a moment there she had her hopes up. Keigo was cruel enough to pull that stunt on her; giving her false hope only to bring her down and rub it in her face.

" Or course you'd pick me, miss y/n is still a kid and she's... Take no Offense in this miss y/n but Senior Hawks is a bit... Hmmm... Out of your league?" Enchantress smirk grew wider and Hawks who was already lying through his teeth was still fighting his Pride for dominance.

With a sharp glare sent towards Enchantress who didn't seem to notice only scooted closer towards him.

" Oh, Really? Ok then "

Keigo blinked at how nonchalant and uncaring y/n's reply was. He was genuinely expecting her to explode like usual but this time it's different.

Y/n was fighting back the new batch of tears, heartbreak was a real pain in the ass. Couldn't he just put her down slowly? Why is he taking pleasure in hurting her this way? Now he's rubbing salt onto the wound.

In which area did she lack in? Her face? Body? Skill? Intelligence? Now that she thought about it, Enchantress tray lived up to her Hero name. She was perfect in every angle.... Perfect for Hawks. Enchantress had a nice body, a seductive face and y/n heard of the achievements done by the Female Hero.

She can't beat her even if she tried. She's mentally, physically and emotionally drained to even give a reaction. She'd just get hurt even more.

Maybe this is a sign.

For her to finally give up, move on, shift her focus and concentration to something more beneficial.

This was hopeless and all she ever got was pain. She's not a masochist who yearns for the continuous and brutal impact of emotional pain. Heck even masochists needs a little love too.

She's tired and y/n knows better than to put herself down with her own insecurities. So she needed to make a move fast because she'll only get hurt again.

It's wise to forget him.

With a deep breath she pulled out a strong front with a genuine smile on her face as she gazed at Keigo and Enchantress.

Keigo wore an anxious look while Enchantress held a surprised expression.

" Well, you two do look compatible and you're right he is out of my league.... That's why I'll look for someone else within my reach. He's not the only fish in the pond.... I'm sure I'm holding you guys back.. Carry on with your hero duties, I'll go back now Bye~" Y/n turned around and gave them a wave before skipping away from the two.

Her tone along with her smile looked far too cheerful that it scared Hawks.

Did she just say she'd look for Someone Else?, she had the guts to say that right in front of him?.

He balled his hand into a fist, and for the first time in his life he had never felt this scared to lose someone. He was breathing heavily while throwing a mental tantrum.

" You know.... I thought you'd finally stop that bad habit of yours Hawks.... I learned from the rumors and wanted to see for myself and probably give you a hand to confess to her but now that I've witnessed it, You really are a Fucktard" Enchantress shook her head as she crossed her arms gazing at Hawks with disappointment.

" Fuck off. This was your fault to Begin with. It's not as easy as you think"

" Really? You're blaming me for all the fuck ups you're responsible for? A girl's heart is fragile Hawks... I didn't live for a hundred years buried in the shelter of naivety. Her love was true and I think you just lost your chances.... If you wanna fix it. Fix it fast because once a girl has enough, she'll leave you like you're worth nothing. "

" I... I know I fucked up but your meddling wasn't necessary "

" Really? I was getting tired of watching you hurt her. I'm a woman too and I don't appreciate seeing other men hurt a woman who clearly loves them.... I did her a favor by giving her the ultimatum to let go... Looks like she took it in the end " Enchantress chuckled while Hawks stood there, his demeanor turning darker by the passing second.

" You're saying it's better that she leave me? " Keigo muttered Darkly , a dangerous look in his eyes began to resurface.

Enchantress kept a calm expression and nodded her head.

" You're Toxic Hawks. And it's better for her to leave you than seeing her get hurt over and over again... I've been in that stage before... And it hurts more than any injury I've suffered... "

" Since you're so knowledgeable about this then why not tell me how to fix it? Before I decide to go rogue and slit your throat" keigo threatened as he plucked out a feather which turned rudged and sharp; pointing it at Enchantress .

" Hmm... You seem to Love her judging by how strongly you reacted ... But you're worst than shit in showing it... But here's a tip . If you wanna fix it then fix yourself first. Learn how to treat a woman you like as if she's greater than a queen and remember that I'm not the one who hurt her...it was you." With those words being uttered Enchantress disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Scottrospective: Scott Pilgrim Gets It Together! or Days of Summer

Hello all you happy scottaholics! Welcome back to those of you who’ve read the rest of this retrospective and welcome to those of you just joining us. This is the Scottrospective, my look at all 6 volumes of Scott Pilgrim, the game and the movie. It’s all the video game refrenes, slice of life story telling and boob punches you can handle!

It’s been three months since I left off with “The Infinite Sadness” , and while I intended to cover this one for Valentine’s Day, my schedule got away from me and with March being full up, this ended taking till April

I”m not too put off by it though as the hiatus between these two reviews is fitting for this one both in story and out. In story there’s a couple month time skip between books, while out.. this book got delayed a few times.  

This is notable to me at least because this was the first volume of the series I bought when it came out. As i’ve brought up before I came into the series via the Free Comic Book Day Issue and the second and third volumes, picking one up later. I still have my original copies despite no longer really needing them thanks to having the color editions in general. Always will provided something dosne’t happen to them. So this was my first instalment that I got to read fresh and got to wait for and be hyped about and i’d saved enough money that I was able to pre-order it. So the experince of waiting and waiting for the book only to keep seeing it slide back is vivid in my mind as is the frustration I felt having the one thing I COULD NOT WAIT FOR, keep going further and further back. 

So with this long wait and the fact I bought this one when it came out, as I would for the next two which didn’t get delayed thank god, this volume naturally means a lot for me. When I wrote Scott Pilgrim fanfiction, this volume’s status quo is what I based it on. It was the coolest to me and the one I loved to reread the most. It has the most contained story, the most character growth at the time, and the best art due to Bryan’s style having finally hit it’s stride. Not that the art for volumes 1-3 is bad mind you, but it’s very clear his style was changing and shaping into what it is now with each one and while it’d change a bit more, this volume is where the style and quality everyone thinks of when they think of this series and the kind you see on various art done from it comes from. 

So as you can tell i’m excited for this one. Before we get started there WERE two shorter comics released between this one both for Free Comic Book day, the first of which, Free Scott Pilgrim, is the reason I got into the series and the second, the Wonderful World of Kim Pine .. was both delightful and sets up Kim moving in with Hollie for this volume. Originally I intended to cover these in this review.. but I realized they wouldn’t of helped the pacing and this review is going to be way longer than my standard as is.

So instead I came up with the compromise. I did review them.. but as bonus reviews on my patreon. I will talk about their connections and setups for this volume briefly: FSP sets up the next ex as a ninja, with Roxy having a bunch of posters come to live and pummel our boy, while Wonderful World has Hollie tell Kim she can move in with her. It’s not much, hence why i made these exclusives but they are good stories, so check them out. And with that JOIN ME UNDER THE CUT, as we enter Scott’s world once more as he grapples with the past, employment, and saying the L-Word... which might be Lesbians. I don’t know. Find out bellow!

So we open Two Months after Volume 3 with a beach birthday party! Complete with Kim in a swim suit!

But it’s for Julie who lobs a volley ball at Scott’s head when he and Ramona try to make out. 

I also dont’ know if “Manfiesting out of all the world’s collectives sorrows” counts as a “birth” necessarily but whatever. I love a good beach story. It’s just a fun setitng for swimming, romance and battling a giant crab with the help of the bird what lives in your backpack.

So after the beach our heroes get dinner and Ramona sweetly calls Scott the nicest guy she’s ever dated. He responds with “That’s sad”. Blunt, but entirely accruate. Julie calls it pathetic and tries to counter Ramona RIGHTFULLY saying “who the hell asked you?” something that really should come after EVERYTHING Julie said with “Back off bitch i’ts my birthday”

So later that night Sex Bomb-Omb has a beach sing along, and I can’t help but notice Neil’s hairy legs. 

I mean yes it does make since for a 19 year old to have leg hair, but of all the characters besides Stephen, the ONLY other character we’ve seen it with to give it to, why the character you specifically single out as “Young” it’s just a weird choice I never noticed before. 

But anyways Julie has to whine about it because she’s Julie, she can’t stand other people being happy and complains the song...

One of my faviorite moments of the series. Knives puts a nicer spin on it, she’s here too and not over with Neil because, as we’ll find out later they broke up, but she just asks if Knives should be drinking. She shouldn’t but for fucks sake lady she was just trying to talk. I also do like that despite Julie trying to control Ramona’s love life, you know the thing the VILLIANS are doing, Ramona cannot stand her now.. and honestly probably never did. 

But Julie, SOMEHOW turns out to be right for once as Kim and Knives have disappeared later that night, and Scott elects to go look for them. Also Ramona says she wants to marry kim while drunk after Julie asks if she does. The throuple is strong with these three... serioulsy that’s my one true pairing for all three now. I mean it ballances out their collective flaws, it’s cute and Ramona is just as into her boyfriends ex as she is her actual boyfriend even when she’s not hamered. Why the fuck not?

Scott instead finds the two making out. I will confess I shipped these two when I was younger.. but I don’t. Not because their gay or anything or because I found another ship for them but because the age gap is still just as wide as it was for Scott. The game did not get this memo and made them a couple which is... ehhhhhhhhh. I mean I wouldn’t mind either being bi, but it just brings up the same problems even if their both hammered. I also question why this scene exists. No really outside of one face punchingly dickish comment from Scott later, this never comes up again and it doesn’t effect Kim’s or Knives character any. Why have this? it’s clearly not fanservice, it’s just a thing that happened. And while Scott Pilgrim as a series does have some of those, as does life and that’s fine.. this is a bit too major, i.e. Kim and Knives, two of the main cast, making out, drunkenly or not, to just.. gloss over you know? I feel Kim would feel majorly guilty for this, as she has the most active moral compass of the main group, and Knives would be massively confused but it’s just.. forgotten because I dunno. In a story that’s otherwise pretty stellar this stands out as an utter waste of potential. I’m not saying have them hook up, gay or not it’s still not better than what Scott did, but have them at least talk about it and have both grow or something from it. Sheesh. 

So we cut to.. another day. Maybe the next day I dunno but it’s August. Point is Scott and Wallace are grocery shopping and Wallace notes they can’t get fancy mayo as their barely in budget. I would’ve glossed over this scene... but @panur​ pointed out back around the Infinite Sadness review that this scene reveals something very intrestng: Scott.. is kind of a fincial burdern to Wallace. Before this while Scott mooched off him it wasn’t all that clear that Wallace was struggling. 

But here we notice that outside of some Havarti, it’s just the simplest stuff imaginable: turkey, bread, boxed mac and cheese ramen noodles... it’s nto BAD stuff, I have all of that in my house and it’s good stuff... but it’s not the kind of thing that you need to carefully budget for. Now granted part of this probably is Wallace as he likely spends a LOT on drinks, condoms and two 2 liters of diet soda a day.. but while he really needs to adress his alcohol issues, the rest is fair. He should be allowed to have as much sex and diet coke as he wants it’s his money. Same with the havarti. He earned it if he wants some really delcious cheese with herbs, seriously Havarati is the best, then that’s his bidness. But the rest of the time he’s barely managing to get  a basketfull of cheap food.. because he has to provide for Scott. It’s clearly something Scott dosen’t get and something I can relate to not getting. It took me a while to get how hard it is to budget for a full family, let alone two people on one income like Wallace has to. But Wallace is working on a nice job... but still a call center or something. He can’t pay for everything and the finccial stress is about to give as their landlord wants to meet with them. And as we’re about to learn things were even worse than we thought. 

Our heroes head home where we get a truly iconic conversation when, over margeritas (again proving my point that while Scott certainly isn’t HELPIGN wallace’s finacials, it’s not all on him)

This will be imporant later.. both the Lesbians part and Scott’s struggle saying it. he tried earlier on the beach but couldn’t get it out and Ramona clearly didn’t want to hear it as she kapt sshhhhing him.. playfully of course but still. 

So some time later it’s moving day! Kim is moving into Hollie and Josephs, and Scott, Stephen and Jason are helping. You might be wondeirng who the hell Jason is. He’s Kim’s boyfriend. I do not likes him. Not because he’s kim’s boyfriend, getting upset because a fictional character you fancy is dating is just patently stupid. I’ts like getting upset a celebrity crush is in a relationship: you had no chance anyway why. I wasn’t even bothered as a kid. I don’t really like him.. because he has no real personaliy and no real baring on the plot and I struggle to think why Bryan included him other than for a really annoying plot twist next time, which does not help my liking him knowing what’s coming. 

But while our heroes help our heroine move in, and Scott is suprised Hollie is there despite Kim having told him a minute ago she was moving in with her, something I can relate to sadly, we get something vitally plot important; Stephen passes Joseph’s room.. and notices he has a small recording setup in his room. Stephen quickly begs him to record the band’s album and Joseph agrees if only because he finds Stephen hot. Eh i’ve seen better relationships start on less, fair enough. And yes I said relationship more on that in a bit. 

So after a brief scene of Scott and Ramona having lunch where Scott fails to know her age and when Ramona says he could just ask.. hea sks and she dosen’t tell, not a bad scene character wise just not very plot important and probably should’ve bene swapped in order with the previous scene, we get to the next day. There’s a heat wave so Wallace orders Scott to go to the mall maybe find a job. He emphasises that. 

Instead Scott just sorta bums around thirst but nto having any money.. until an old face shows up. 

For those who forgot like Scott has, it’s Lisa Miller from the Volume 2 flashback, the girl who had a crush on Scott and was close friends with him and Kim. After a tackle hug  and some panic Scott eventually remembers.... if in a curiously unique and self serving way

At the time this was just hilarous. Now it’s very clear foreshadowing for the big twist in Volume 6. The two catch up while Scott is very clearly attracted to her but very clearly dosen’t want to be, with Lisa wondering where kim is, finding about Ramona, etc, before offering Scott lunch as the two catch up and Scott is very conflicted about how he feels. It’s nice visual stuff as he’s blushing, something more clear in the color version and trying to desperatley sort things out. As for why Lisa’s here she’s moving to the states soon, but is staying with her sister for now. 

So after an incdental scene with Wallace we catch up with Knives, who has broken up with Neil. And after some talk about Clash at the Demonhead, Tamra notes Knives apparently put a big x on her shrine of Scott... which baffles Knifves as she sure as hell didn’t do it and is still, sadly, obessed with Scott as ever. Granted Tamra isn’t at all helpful here claiming she did it even when she says she didn’t, is clearly confused and while yes we don’t know who else would care Tams, that just makes it all the more creepy. Stop gaslighting your bestie, she’s already got enoguh issues. She dosen’t need thinking she might have a split personality on top of the stalking, obession over a guy who has no intrest in loving her back, and attempted stabbings. Knives dosesn’t get a ton of focus in this one sadly. She kind of takes a back seat, and while sh’es not GONE from the volumle and someone close to her does impact it, she dosen’t really have any personal progression, negative or positive, like she does in every other volume, a shame since her personal jouney is one of the most intresting of the main cast. 

Anyways that night Scott hangs out with Lisa, having not gotten around to telling Ramona she exists yet and plays a game of find the Kim Pine. She goes to Neil’ and Stephen’s place for practice, but finds no one there and Neil being a dick... get used to that it’s going to get about 80 times worse soon enough. Though we do get this classic panel i’ve gotten some use out of 

He goes to Kim’s place, but she , Hollie and Satan’s Misterss have all left to Sneaky Dee’s, the local mexican place, for something to eat and Stephen is either high or doing.. something with Joseph. 

Yeah i’m not hiding that Stephen turns out to be gay in the final volume or cheating on Bitch and a Half with Joseph. And even if I hate Julie with the power of a frozen sun, I still dont’ think cheating on her is kosher. He could’ve just broken up with her and while part of it was likely confusion, and he could also be bi and not decided which one he wanted to be with, it’s still a dick move.. and later makes him a hypocrite but that’s a rant for next volume. 

So our heroes FINALLY find Kim, along with Hollie and Mouthface. And a nice thing I like is that Kim and Lisa are just.. increidbly close, happily catching up and making plans to hang before Lisa leaves, that despite Lisa having feelings for Scott the two ended up as close and She and Scott did and i’ts sweet to see. it’s also just.. rare to see Kim GENUINELY happy. I mean look at her

It’s not like she HASN’T smiled across the series but normally she’s just so miserable, likely because her best friends are a grumbly asshole who forces them to hang out with a raging typhoon of bitchiness, and an insenitive asshat who she never got closure with. This is the first decent human being whose not Ramona or Hollie, and that last one’s not going to last, in a while. It’s genuinely sweet to just see her.. enjoy the moment for once, honestly engaged with someone. Ramona shows up and finally meets Lisa, who apparently was on Degrassi.. I mean she says candaian show no one ever watched, and I watched that plenty but i’d like to think she was on there for a season or two. I liked Degrassi.. I honeslty miss it and think it could use some form of revivial and think porting it to netflix was a smart decision.. what wasn’t so smart was not having the other seasons leading into it on there. Need to watch more of it. 

So the next day Ramona stumbles into Scott’s dreams and both are annoyed, with Ramona suggesting he get a job. This finally gets him to try. He asks about Wallace’s work but understandably, he dosen’t really want scott there and asks if he even knows. So Scott sets out to ask his other friends for jobs, while Knives shows up saying she’s “totally not stalking him” but someone is following HER, a mysterious spiky haired dude in a black leather jacket, shades and with a sword on his back. Whu-oh. 

He tries Second Cup, with Julie annoyed that Stephen’s recording.. it’s hard to tell if she’s annoyed because she’s a bitch or because Stephen is both gneuinely annoying right now and clearly screwing around behind her back. My take?

But Scott realizes maybe getting a job at his Sister’s place of work who also works with his arch enemy might be stupid and backs out. He next tries Kim’s, but backs out of that too, admitting to kim it’d be stupid and Kim lists off all the reasons (His lack of resume, the fact them working together would be stresful and his ountain of late fees) why that’d be stupid, but in a jovial way. For once i’ts clear that while she’s still taking the piss out of them she isn’t mad at Scott.

In fact she genuinely helps him get a job, taking him to Stephen’s work since hers is dead right now anyway, a vegan place.  While Scott naturally compares things to a job system as he’d start as dishwasher while Stephen taught him prep, Scott agrees to genuinely take this seriously and Stephen’s boss decides “eh why not” when he asks her to employ him. Scott is gainfully employed baby! God I miss that. Seriously i’m not pimping my patreon for shits and giggles. 

But as he celebrates and Kim wishes she could punch his life in the face, they run into some trouble on the way home: Katana man who slices a motherfucking bus in half and chases them, with Scott reluctnat to fight because he has a sword and Scott does not, which is valid. He does escape though using subspace. He and Kim part awkardly and he returns home to Wallace throwing a party with two intresting charcters, a woman and a man of color, one of the few in the entire work, who are never seen again. 

The next night is practice.. or rather recording, and we start to see Neil get edged out, with him unable to come due to exams and clearly not happy about it, and Stephen just kind of ignoring anything he cares about like the dickhead he is. It dosen’t get any better as “recording” ends up just being Scott, Ramona, and Ratfaced Knacker watching bored with Joseph and Stephen work. Eventaully Scott and Ramona decide to get out of there as things are getting tensed between thing one and thing bitch, and leave.. and take Julie with them for some reason. 

So the three have dinner with Lisa, Kim, and Jason before The Mummies Curse thankfully leaves. Jason thought they were friends. 

We also get this exchange. 

I mean.. she is the better option. She his THE option. But before we can get the obvious answer of 

Stephen comes in with Knives. He smuggled her in. This leads to problems when Scott returns from the bathroom to find Queen Bitch throwing a bitch fit about him having brought her and screechs at her when she dares to talk to him “How do you even know my name?” Well Ted Cruz, you see when someone is an actually thoughtful and likes other people, they keep track of things about them and don’t constnatly tear them down or assume their partneer is automatically bonking a 17 year old instead of you know, actually forming something of a friendship and not shutting her out sensing she needs this friend group. Some people are not vacous piles of vitriol who care about nothing but themself and seem to go off at the slightest thing. 

Scott takes Ramona home but finds a drunken barely awake wallace so no sexy times. Not that he could anyway as the next day is the meeting with Peter their landlord. 

Peter reveals they’ll have to clear out by the 27th as their lease was for one year and their paid up.. as in only the first and last month. The two part melacholy knowing this sucks and isn’t a great situation. Then it’s time for Scott to work work, angelica, work work, eliza and peggy. After grueling day, can relate, he runs into  a wisp on teh wend and steels himself for a fight.. okay he bitches about it being too hot but it’s Scott. so it’s expected. He does get a hit in on his mysterious persuer.. and that’s when we meet Roxy.

Via boob punch, something Scott’s not proud of but in his defense, as Roxy keeps complaning about it, he was blindly struggling for a hit and din’t know the next Ex, or any of them, were female.. not that Ramona didn’t suggest it loudly enough by empahsising “exes” but scott’s a bit of a fuckwit. She mentions “everyone allways remmebers you”.. which is kind of ominus and tells me she tried to hook back up with ramona despite her having a boyfriend and she rejected her. Still on good terms though. But this confusing encounter ends with Roxy vowing she’ll get him next time gadget, next time. 

So we get some assorted slice of life scenes with the band, lisa and what have you as Scott tries to get in touch with Ramona but she keeps avoiding him. THat’s not worrysome at all. And Lisa brings up high school while drunk and clearly hits on Scott. He sidesteps it with her drunkness.. but this clearly isn’t over or going to stop being a problem. 

Speaking of problems Wallace makes Scott confront the truth: He either needs to find a new place to live or commit to staying, though Wallace is trying to nudge him toward asking Ramona to move into her place. Scott starts thinking it over, it being very hard especially since, as Stephen points out this was his very first place of his own.. but Stephen also points out these things are temoporary.. right before Scott ducks from katana guy. 

At work Scott wonders who it could be, though it turns out Stephen’s met him before, as he’s brought his family in here. So he’s PROBABLY not one of the exes.. but it leaves the question why he wants to cut Scott in half like Dewey Cox’s brother. But it turns out he’s nto the only enemy Scott’s casually running into as Roxy is there too.. with Ramona. 

The two talk, clearly about Scott and Lisa with Roxy trying to convince her he’s cheating and Ramona rightfully trusting Scott: while he IS attracted to her, he’s been fighting it every step of the way. Scott storms over to find out what’s going on and while Ramona is more distracted by his new job, she eventually realizes Roxy did attack him and he simply dscribed her poorly when he mentioned the incident over the phone. Scott is confused as he dosen’t get it. Is she with one of the exes what? After some hiinting from both parties, and Roxy rightfully mocking him for not getting the obvious... he finallyg ets it in the grandest way possible. 

So Roxy gets ready to fight and Scott can’t because sword, and gets fired in the background as he hides in Ramona’s bag and Ramona prepares to step in. Roxy screams at her for trusting him and defending him when Ramona.. just dosen’t her boyfriend to be bisected by her ex. A fight insues and a damn cool one at that. I honestly wish the movie had taken more from this, but simply didn’t have time leading it to instead be more like the envy fight with a bit of the Winfried Hailey fight from Free Scott Pilgrim. 

Roxy chases her and Ramona rightly points out Scott can’t run forever but takes him into Subspace.. where Roxy heads them off, having “taught you everything you know bitch” leading to a cool fight in the wintery version of subspace. Again why THIS wasn’t used instead I have no real idea. We also find out she’s a half ninja but she eventually leaves afer Ramona presses that button.. but Rammy is actually apologetic about it and Roxy’s “I hope you and your 24 children are happy together comment” is telling. 

Upon this readthrough of the volume.. I realized Roxy is the most layered and intresting of the exes next to Gideon himself. None of them are out and out terrible, but most of them have pretty simple motives: to kill Scott, ???, profit. Or in Todd’s case to kill scott, bang around and be a dick. But Roxy.. genuinely wants Ramona back. She’s the ONLY one who does: Gideon kinda does, but only in the sense that he wants her for his collection. But Roxy geninely still loves her, admitting so during this fight. And it’s not like she has no chance: out of the 7 exes she’s the ONLY one who parted with Ramona on anything resembling good terms. While intrestingly we don’t find out WHY they broke up, Ramona didn’t cheat on her like she did everyone else she was with. The two have coffee and hang out and Ramona geninely dosen’t even consider until Roxy tries to attack Scott that she’d really try killing him and tries her best to talk her out of it. But what holds Roxy back is her anger: She’s so bitter about the fact Ramona is bi or pan, so dedicated to viewing Ramona’s very orintation as a betryal (though Ramona calling it a phase dosen’t help and the movie RIGHTLY has Roxie comment on it and fly into a rage over it), and so driven to make sure the woman she loves dosen’t get hurt again that it blinds her to the fact Ramona dosen’t love her the same way anymore, and that while Scott is objectively a dick, and a cheater, and a greasy buttcrack pooflap, he is not a terrible person. A meh one sure, but he’s got good to him. She’s so biophobic she simply can’t see he’s a harmless moron.. well harmless to Ramona even with the cheating. He’s killed two people at this point and will kill again. Also she apparently has issues with only being a half ninja but this is never adressed. Point is Roxy’s really grown on me and is now probably my faviorite ex.  

Scott and Ramona talk it over on their way to Sneaky Dees and Scott finally asks to move in and gets a yes. His response is downright adorable. 

So at Sneaky Dee’s Young Neil is just a bit absolutely irate with Scott.. which isn’t fair as them not playing things is entirely on the blocky face asshole. Yell at him.. which he does, pointing out that they haven’t played shows in forever, and that the lady who owns Sneaky Dees not only runs shows, in the upstairs space, but has been asking them to play. Kim is rightly curious about this and to both Stephen just keeps saying “We’re recording right now.” And some of you may of wondered why I hate him. Well while he’s not exctly stellar in the first half in the second Stephen becomes goddman insufferable, slowly destroying the band for his affair and not giving one iota of a shit what anyone else wants. He’s a selfish, egomanical cheating prick. And yes I get it their recording an album.. but doing live shows would give them extra practice, MONEY, even if likely not a lot and exposure for said album. I get professoinal bands stop touring for a bit to do an album but you are not a professional band, and said bands still often iron out the album on the road. God you suck.

But while Scott sidesteps this argument he walks into another where Ramona confronts him about lisa about liking her.. and he rightly says if there was anything, which there was not it’s in the past. And while yes he is a cheater, she does not know this yet. This plot honestly would’ve worked better if she learned about the knives thing sooner, but instead she just comes off as paranoid for listening to Roxy about something that isn’t happening. Yes Scott’s been shown to be attracted to her.. but he’s been ashamed of it, fighting it and in denial about it, and is clealry all in with Ramona. Being attracted to someone else on a phsyical level does NOT mean your relationship is doomed. 

Things get worse as he goes home to ruminate.. and instead sees a man’s Penis. And Wallace..is at his second most unsymapthetic, not letting Scott get a shirt or a bus pass or something like a decent human being for no goddamn reason. Usually when Wallace is a dick to Scott, Scott’s earned it and badly needs a slap in the face. Here he’s just being a prick because.. the plot needs him to? I dunno it dosen’t work for me. It’s in character, I just don’t have to like it. 

So with no other options.. Scott ends up at Lisa’s. And so we get the last temptation of Scott. Lisa admits, embarassed that she’s been wearing sexy dresses and what not specifically to attract him, with Scott also mentioning how things are rough, Lisa tries to fight it herself pointing out he’s with ramona.. and when Scott points out they didn’t do anything in the past Lisa points out they should’ve.. and maybe they should now. 

We fade to black as Scott ends up in a dream and finds Roxy, who naturally has the same skill and tries to Freddy Kruger him before he wakes. He finds Lisa but they didn’t do anything: Scott pushed her away and babbled about how much he loved Ramona instead. As i’ve said.... his heart was never with LIsa... and even when he was so close to giving in he couldn’t. It’s a tangible sign of growth: He screwed around on Knives with Ramona, and given how bad things were getting with Ramona, it would be oh so easy to once again ditch a relationship the minute he found something else and oh so understandable. But... he dosen’t. He loves Ramona even if he hasn’t said it, he wants to make this work, and he’s changed. She’s changed him. He’s not quite a good man yet.. bu he’s getting to be good enough. Love turned him from a skeezy dumbass into a far more loveable dumbass. Ramona’s gotten him to stop dating a teenager (even if again he cheated), face his past with envy to finally move on and now get a job. He’s realized just hwo much she means to his life and world and so he goes to tell her. 

Riggghtttt after going to get his job back and works a shift, with steven wanting to punch his life in the balls. Stephen shut the fuck up. Just because Scott is lucky and your stuck dating satan’s scrotum does not mean you get to punch his life int he balls. Kim does, because he’s put her through more shit but not you. 

He goes to second cup to talk to Stacey.. only to end up at the wrong one where Knives also now has a job... and we finally get an answer to who the mystery katana guy is...

Yup turns out wielding giant weapons in vengance runs in the family. As for how he knows about Scott her aunt mentioned her boyfriend, everyone freaked out and obviously while her mom was mentioned as knowing in volume 1, they did not tell her dad whose brain turned into an engine of vengance and defaced the shrine. While part of it is apparnetly racisim for Scott being white the fact is he clearly saw Scott’s photograph. The guy is 5 years older. I get him being protective. Still dosen’t justify cutting off his head. His balls maybe but not his head. 

And then Scott ran, once agian finding a subspace entracne.. and this time we see inside ramona’s head and well...

Yeah.. that’s.. kind of fucked, and Ramona isn’t happy scott saw that, though she backs down once Scott explains..a nd then gets upset over him staying at Lisa’s but before SCott can tell her he loves her it turns out Roxy stayed over. So yeah, Ramona might of cheated, she tells him to alk it off and he runs around in a psycadelic haze of emtoinal confusion. And meets.. someone new...

Scott snaps out of his funk and ignores his doppleganger heading back for Ramona... whose fighting Mr. Chau. Scott left the door to Ramona’s head open and he followed him through Subspace. Scott lures him into the house and away from her only to run into Roxy. This leads to both of his attackers fighting and her wondering if Gideons ent him “Why does no one ever belivie in me?!” 

She soon realize no i’ts just unrelated and calls Scotto ut on hiding behind not having a sword and behind her being a woman, caling it a flimsy excuse. I mean she’s tring to kil lhim. It’s okay to hit an enemy combatant. Scott realizes he has to stop running... and get real with ramona leading to a truly epic, romantic and heartfelt speech and given how far he’s come and just how heartfelt it is it’s a real sign of how deep he feels. Sure we’ve seen genuine chemstiry between the two.. but htis moment is a shit.. from a simple relationship.. into true love. 

I may of only had a few but Relationships are not easy, They take work, they take time, they take patience and theyt ake love.. but if your willing to work with someone, look past some flaws and help them with the rest.. then it’s worth it. And Scott has finally realized it and for the first time in a while is running TOWARDS something difficult, actually working on this relationship and talking with his partner instead of running finding someone else or wallowing. He’s truly grown up. While he still has miles to go.. he’s taken about 50 steps forward with this. And as such given the kind of unvierse we’re in, as Ramona is genuinely touched by it he levels up a glowing sword with a heart shaped hilt coming out of his chest.. and realizing what’s happening he pulls it out....

So Scott faces off with roxy and in an awesomly short battle, their sords clash.. and he bisects her. 

Scott then honestly talks down Mr Chau who leaves after a nod, and Ramona tells Scott she loves him two. The two make out and all is well.

One make out fades into another, as we cut to Scott moving in with Kim and Blockhead’s help. Well kinda they only had one box but they owed him one. He and wallace comiserate over the end of their time as roomies. They’ll always be friend but it’s truly the end of an era. Also Wallace gets off another bit of dickery as he’’s very glad it all worked out for scott...

 Now there’s the Wallace I know and love. Dickish but just the right loveable kind of douchebag with that swagger. 

Back at Knives house she’s apparenlty into somebody though who I have no idea, Mr Chau give sher his blessing and she.. apparenlty doesen’t know chinese. I dunno. As I said her subplot this go round was her weakest overall. 

And so we end with the whole gang gathered to see Lisa off. It’s a REALLY nice shot, and one of the only times Wallace is seen with the Sex Bomb omb side of the group. Oh sure he goes to their shows and what not, but generally their never in the same vincinity so while there’s no interaction I still find this neat. Seriously the whole main cast is there, it’s a really lovely shot

Also Jason and Hollie.. who are getting awfully chummy. Whu Oh. And of course Craphole and Mouth Face are as likeable as ever. 

So we jsut get a genuinely nice sene. Except Stephen and Julie reconciling. Fuck that. Please move on. And as everyone fondly wishes Lisa adeu and wish she stuck arond the res tof the series we end on Scott and Ramona snuggling, Scott asking her her birthday and finding out she’s 24, and they both will be come september. Scott wishes this moment could last. 

They probperly snuggle as the volume ends on a high. 

Final Thoughts:

Yeah.. Gets it Together is, on rexamination, DEFINTELY my faviorite of the 6. Besides personal value i’ts hte best contained story, contaning lots of character development, great character moments, jokes, and EASILY the best art so far, with goregouness and creativty abounding. 

There is a problem here or there: Stephen and Julie’s subplot feels underbaked, and not just because I hates them, and there are several scenes that don’t further plot or character stuff. Ther’es also stuff that could’ve been expanded on.. but given this is still a pretty meaty graphic novel, it’s understandable why it wasn’t.. though it is why I’d love a streaming series since while the movie is excellent, a full series could expand on stuff from the books more Brian simply didn’t have time for. Knives also didn’t get a lot to do. 

But their drowned out by tons of great decisions: Lisa was a wonderful additoin to the cast and I genuinely wish she’d stuck around, adding in some energy, blending well with the Sex Bomb Omb crowd, and having great dynamics with everyone and her arc with Scott is heartbreaking,knowing she can’t have him but wanting him anyway having never gottne proper closure on the man she’s always wanted. She’s a heartbreaking character and its nice to see her end in a decent place and on good terms with Scott, having let him go for both thier sakes. 

And while Lisa is a highlight everyone is on their a game here for the most part apart from knives, girl hitler, and captain dumbass: Scott grows signfigantly but is funny as hell, Wallace has an intresting arc trying to nudge Scott out without being overt about it, scared to really confront him, Kim is in a happy and serene place for once and it shows. The villians are also intresting: While Mr Chau is a tad underbaked, he’s sitll a cool imposing presence. I do think he shoudl’ve had more to do with the plot.. but is still just so freaking cool it papers over that and him just.. disappearing after this like poor Lisa. 

Roxy is far more intresting, having clearly more going on than we see and while I wish we’d got her backstory, she’s easily the most engaging of the exes, being the only one to actively compete with Scott (All her and ramona end up doing is making out a little it turned out), and have bigger stakes than just “The glasses wearing douche asked me to beat up my exes boyfriend and I was like alright. 

All in all Gets it Together is really magical, the series high point, and just damn fun and it was a pleasure to go through

Next Month on Scott Pilgrim: It all falls down as we take a look into what once was my least faviorite Album, vs the unvierse. Two perfect assholes try and murder scott with Robutts, his relationship and band crumble and things get sad so very very sad.
