Sometimes I think I’ve got a good idea of sans character then I remember deep down I consider him kinder then papyrus and I have to come to terms with the fact that I have also fandom-fied him and it hurts, anyway congratulations on staying true to his character your the strongest soldier out there

lol don't beat yourself up. i wouldn't use "kind" as a qualifier, but i do think papyrus can come across as much blunter than sans. he's loud and banging and over the top in a way that exaggerates his other attributes, and one of those is his social awkwardness. he's shameless! both when he's being positive and uplifting AND when he's being a bitch. sans is more... contained. less vocal. but that's something that applies to his character in general.

more than anything i think—as jaded and more pessimistic as sans has become with time and his reset knowledge—both him and papyrus start from the same core personality. papyrus' kindness is obviously important to his character, but people tend to play it up too much in my opinion. he's just as capable of disregarding people's suffering and unhappiness for his own interests (empress undyne ending, king mtt ending, remaining our friend in spite of our actions) as his brother. he's just... very loud about his positivity and caring for other people and DOES want what's best for everyone... when it's not particularly inconvenient to him. lol.

I am back with this one :D Mostly because I felt like it :3

Last time we left our.... Heroes. Killer joined Dust and ash on their trip. The only one happy about it is Killer! :D

Dust figures a quick trip to the priest should solve this right?

Dust grips the steering wheel harder as Killer keeps making comments.

Ash groans and leans over his shoulder "Please tell me we are almost there."

Dust nods to confirm it. They are almost at the location Dust had been aiming for.

The last week had been... challenging. Killer would not shut up and Dust had woken up so many times with Killer just haning ove rhim and staring. Only to get a comment about how sweet he looks when he sleeps and how Killer wishes he could touch him.

right.

Fucking weird.

Dust also has not seen Ash that enraged and pissed since the whole coach situation.

Dust at first tried to exorcise Killer himself. It isn't like this is the first time he got haunted by another ghost after Ash got noticed. But Killer for some reason could not be removed.

Dust fears it has to do with the fact Killer anchored himself to Dust's soul. Much like Ash did.

Which means they will need a bit of a stronger ritual.

Killer leans against the chair and shoots him a grin and wink "I may be dead but you are drop dead gorgeous. How about we go out? Make a date of it."

Ash is seething beside Dust and Dust goes back to the unual answer "Not interest. Also not possible as you are a spirit."

Killer grins and waves it off "Our love will conquer that with time!" he grins and wiggles his eye brows "I may not have a body to please you but i am sure we can work something out-"

Ash covers the sides of his skull as he speaks loudly "LA LA LA LA LA NO ONE IS SAYING ANOTHER WORD ABOUT MY BROTHER IN THAT SITUATION LA LA LA LA"

Killer pouts at Ash "What a prude. Come on! I can make him so happy and loved and pleased-"

Ash starts shouting louder "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA"

Fucking hell Dust hopes this plan will work.

He breaks hard and his little van stops right before a building. "We are here."

Killer blinks confused and pulls a face at the religious symbols "Kinda a downer of a place for a first date."

Dust starts walking towards the enterance "This isn't a date. this is an eviction."

Killer appears in front of him and looks very serious "I am not leaving you."

Dust just keeps staring at the other unimpressed "Yes you are. That is the eviction part of the deal."

Killer pouts and shakes his skull "nuh-uh! I can't leave my mate!"

Dust sputters nad glares as he feesl very embarresed "We are not mates."

Killer grins "We will be! With time! I will proof it to you! One date! Come on please!"

Dust shakes his skull "No. you are getting evicted." and he moves closer towards the enterance.

Killer mutters and pouts as he follows him.

The building is empty and Dust searches the area. He knows it is late but there should always be at least one priest available...

"Dust!"

Dust looks up and smiles in greeting "Hello Cross."

Cross rushes to his side and looks excited "Are you finally ready to let me help you make your brother move on? To move on yourself?"

Dust shakes his skull as Ash hisses. Dust speaks "Nah. I am here to get you to evict the other ghost."

Cross frowns but mutters a quick spell as he holds his own holy symbol and he opens his eyes. Now both glowing with magic. He yelps and takes a step back when he sees Killer leaning very closely to him.

Killer looks Cross up and down and nods "okay okay. I can admit he is a looker." he grins at Dust "so how do you want to do this sweetheart? Want to fuck him while I direct him? the other way around? Him just staying quiet while i speak instead to pull up the illusion I am pounding into that sweet-"

Dust glares and know she is blushing "Shut up! You are getting evicted!" he looks at Cross and ppoints at Killer "I want him gone yesterday!"

Cross isn't looking much better and looks deeply flustered but nods "Right... right... the problem... eum... If you only want one gone... that means a specific ritual and wlel... a circle."

which means that Killer needs to get into the right circle for it to work. Shit.

Killer clearly realises it too as he happily grins and floats around him "Yeah no. You are not getting me into any circle! I must prefer to stay near my future husband." and he blows a kiss into Dust's direction.

Dust looks desperately at Cross as Cross looks though books and he mutters "There are some rituals... I think I know one that could work but he still needs to be in the right spot..." even as Cross says this he starts drawing it out in chalk in the ritual area.

Dust glares at Killer and Killer just grins back.

Dust points at the circle he needs to be in "You are going into the circle."

Killer huffs "Why would I? Seems like a stupid idea seeing as I want to stay wth you."

Dust groans as he rubs his skull thinking "What do you want in trade for it?"

Killer just brightens up at that "A date! Full date! I get to plan it!" and he grins.

Ash mutters "What an idiot.. once he is unlinked there is nothing that will make him able to find you." Dust just waves his bro off and hopes Killer didn't hear him as he nods at the poltergeist.

"Okay. You go into that circle and let Cross complete the ritual. After it... I will go on one date with you." Dust hopes that the ritual will make Killer move on as well but his freedom form Kilelr in trade for one date is not the worst.

Killer cheers and happily floats into the circle "Be quick church boy! I got plans to make!"

Cross looks at him with pity but Dust just shrugs. Dust sits down in his spot and studies the circle. Huh... looks weird and unlike the exorcism circles he uses.

Cross starts to pray and mutters the spell as the circle lights up.

A bright light blinks Dust.

Dust blinks open his sockets and looks around. Killer is gone.

Dust grins and jumps from his spot "Cross you did it!" one check around him also shows that Ash is still be his side. Ash looks cheerful as well.

Then Cross turns to him and- that isn't cross. what-

'Cross' grins and hugs him "Dusty!"

Wait he knows that voice!!? Dust stares with horror at Cross's body "Killer?!"

Killer hums happily and nuzzles his skull "You are so light! Oh this is amazing!"

Dust looks around the hall and sees Cross's spirit hanging in shock above them.

Dust stares "Waht did you do?"

Cross looks panicked "I don't know?! he... he stole my body?!"

Killer at this point has let go of him to poke and prod at his stolen body. seemingly interested in getting to know it.

Dust looks from one to the other and eyes the door. Ash agrees and mutters to him to make a run for it.

Cross glares at him and appears before him "don't you dare!"

Dust throws up his hands "what do you want me to do?! I came to you because you should know more about exorcisms than me! And look at where we ended!"

A loud whistle and Dust, Ash and Cross both turn to look at Killer. Who is looking into Cross's pants which is lit up wiht magic "Nice assists!"

Cross makes a very curious sound beside him "Don't look at my bdoy like that! Knock it off you weirdo!" Cross appears to be trying to hit Killer but with hsi new status can't hit the other.

Dust ends up leaving the hall. Best just... go while he is busy.

Sadly it didn't work.

In the end Killer got Cross's personal wallets and IDs and stuff. And quickly got to Dust's van and get in.

So now his van counts. Him. Cross nad Ash floating and making light discussion in the back. and Killer in Cross's body in the byrider seat.

Dust stands before the red light. waiting it to turn green.

Killer grins at him "So. about that date..."

Dust just lets his skull fall on the steering wheel.

So no. Dust's problem was not solved. He just has an extra party member and body switch shenenigans going on.

horror is so BLESSED he's the only one out of the murder time trio that has actual good people trying to influence his story 💔💔 dust and killer were both driven to INSANITY because of the choices of their respective humans but horror??? every time without FAIL the polls for horrortale's plotline have always ended in a good place for aliza (either by bettering her relationships/reputation or for her to just. not DIE)

🌻 (sunflower) - What’s something your character has grown out of? Did it happen gradually or was it a drastic change? What caused this shift?

When Edge was little, he was actually entirely nonverbal! I always like to imagine most Papyri are quiet when very young, and took a while before their first words, but few to the same degree.

Id say it was both gradual and drastic, as he started offering a few sparse words to Red when he was around 6-9, but once they were on their own, there was more pressure to "act normal", so he wound up forcing himself to verbally communicate more frequently than he would've chosen.

Whiiich also sort of answers the next part! It was mostly pressure from "the outside world" (the rest of the underground). Pretty much anything can be perceived as a weakness, and since "quiet" reads more as "shy" for a child/teen, Red discouraged Edge from communicating predominantly in Hands.
