Eloise guilty pleasure is self help books. We all know that she is very independent, but something me tells she would rather pick up a self help book then ask for actual help. Benedict would take cooking classes. Like he can cook but he knows he’s not a good cook. But I feel like once he meets you he secretly takes cooking classes and he’s very secretive about it. He’s would be so heartbroken to think that you would think he would do that, but he would also be understanding. Anthony is insanely good at practical gift giving. Like if u mention that u found a set of pans that u want for ur kitchen, bam u got them for ur birthday. Colin is a kind of man to meet up with the modiste to get a special dress made for you. Like idk y I see this, but he’s such a softy and a great gift giver like Anthony that he would head to Madame Delacroix himself. He would get the main things you love in your dresses but little accents of what he likes (certain beating, lace, etc.) He would surprise you before the next Bridgerton ball with it. He would also feel so proud and happy when u flaunt it to your friends.

I feel like one day Hyacinth would ask Kate for tea and to ask her how she can become cool and strong like her. Like I feel like part of Hyacinth wants to be so much like the women in her life, but with Daphne living far away, Violet having a motherly filter, and just something tells me Eloise and her aren’t super close, she would go to Kate. Venture and Junkrat together are already a very chaotic mix, and Lucio is their tiebreaker. He decides when to go crazy or when it's time to chill out.

Venture and Junkrat love demolition and playing in the dirt. Sloan talks a lot about specific qualities of rocks and things about the land they find interesting. Jamison can't keep up, his brain too slow, so he'll just nod his head and try to pay attention, even if it's going in one ear and out the other.

None of them can hear lol, they're always shouting and the others go, "Huh?? Say that again??" Lucio is always wearing headphones and the amount of concerts have really gotten to him. Lucio has probably accidentally booped himself in the face. I feel like he can amplify outside noises through his headphones as well! Junkrat already has a nonexistent attention span, and the explosions he's taken has probably turned his hearing into soft, ringing noises. Venture's drill is so loud and shaky that they still feel the vibrations even when they're not using it, and they hear the noise even when it's not there.

Lucio is the emotional support boyfriend of the group, and he's honestly the best at giving them advice, even they don't take it. He always speaks from his heart and there to comfort when they need it. Lucio gets bashful when Junkrat and Venture get super physical. He enjoys it, but they are so handsy that cuddles can turn nasty very quickly. That, and they are both covered in soot and dirt.

Venture is the gift giver of the group. They gave Jamison flintstone and steel, knowing his pyromaniac tendencies. For Lucio, they were lucky enough to get their hands on a vintage limestone lithophone! Lucio loves his gift, and uses it to make a heartfelt song about his lovers. Junkrat and Lucio try to get together to gift them something back. "It needs bombs!" Junkrat's onetrack mind speaks for itself. "That would be great, but, uh... it would explode." Lucio reasons. "Exactly!!"

They end up giving Venture a treasure map!! That way, Junkrat could not only include bombs, but Lucio was able to hide a little homemade volcanic rock bracelet along the way :)

Initially a flustered mess, you’ve seen how he is with his middle schooler crush on Kyoko.

Tsuna has never had great self esteem, which is super interesting when combined with his really good people skills?! He’s extremely intuitive and able to pick up on people’s intentions and get a general read of them really easily, but he gets stuck in his head with the “what if they don’t actually like me? I’m misreading..” thought loop.

In love and in a romantic relationship, he curbs some of that thinking with time and experience in knowing his partner. If there’s anything that he can and will believe in, it is his partner’s words and actions, the way that they actively express their love for him and seek out his time and attention.

He also knows deep down that he values them so so so much, and he learns to be fairly at peace with knowing that no matter what, he will do his best to treasure them and be good to them. He would become most frustrated with a partner that behaves recklessly, or is dismissive of/not understanding of his expressions of love and devotion, especially because he does not make particularly grand gestures of love.

Tsuna is not perfect, even when he’s older. He will slip up in his communication and miss scheduled quality time with his partner every once in a while, mostly because he has a lot on his plate and gets super busy and easily overwhelmed. He makes a very active effort to keep in touch with his s/o because I think when he’s in love with someone, they’re 100% also his closest friend and confidant. He bonds with people well over shared vulnerability and life experiences together.

His love is most expressed in how patient he is with a partner, how consistently he is there for them (even more than for himself, sometimes), how supportive and protective he is, and how much he just enjoys their company! He’s not a great gift giver, he’ll perform acts of service for his s/o if they really ask him to, but usually doesn’t go out of his way to do so and is uncharacteristically blunt with saying no when he feels unable to do a task for them. It might sound like he’s being dismissive, but he is just being his most honest self with them. When he isn’t as close to someone, he’s more likely to be a people pleaser and promise something that he knows he cannot fulfill, and he would hate to do that to his loved ones.

He’s not particularly touchy but will really appreciate small gestures of PDA such as hand holding and little kisses. It’s really easy to make him blush with that because he’s such a puppy boy.. It's like, if he had a tail, it would be wagging.

His words of reassurance are the best. He’s not an impressive speaker, but everything that he says comes from the heart, especially the ones that are emotionally charged. He feels his feelings quite deeply, and that might be one of the things his partner loves about him: that being sensitive to their needs comes pretty naturally to him, and he learns to be very patient with people and have a lot of hope in them, especially when he knows how great they are deep down.

where the hell do i start learning about all this aaravos, child queen (??? the kid who locked him away? am i mistaking her for someone else?), elarion, deep tdp lore and timeline type stuff? it seems like there's so much and i have not kept track of any of it, and now im curious

So a lot of it has come from either 1) interviews over the years, 2) fans obsessively analyzing info from the show itself, and 3) Tales of Xadia (TDP's RRPG game) or the season novelizations (just one and two out now) providing extra information and lore hints. But here's the like, brief run-down?

Disclaimer: I may misremember some things and/or the show hasn't been Super clear on some of these things, exactly, on purpose, so the timeline (especially of very early events) is subject to change.

Startouch elves, humans, dragons, etc. all lived together in Xadia as one land. Humans weren't born with magic; the Startouch elves (also called First Elves, which seems distinct from Primal elves, although we don't know why) especially disapproved of the idea of giving them magic. A unicorn - one of the few creatures also connected to the Star arcanum - gave some humans primal stones and taught them draconic. It is implied that some people(s), although we don't know who, didn't like that very much.

We don't know why or when, precisely, but Aaravos was cast down to earth. He may have already been helping humans or 'overly sympathetic' to them, or perhaps working with the unicorns to help them. We don't know.

Presumably after all this, the human settlement of Elarion was growing as a city. We actually see it mentioned by name in the flashback from 3x01 between Sol Regem (king of the Dragons at the time, it seems) and Ziard, who appears to be the first real human dark mage (but that's just speculation). His staff is a gift from one of the Great Ones, another name for the Startouch elves, and we know this gift giver to be Aaravos.

We know that Aaravos is also entwined with Elarion further because of the poem revealed in 2x08, written in Arabic that fans translated back in like, 2019ish? TDP Official later fully released the translated poem, called The Midnight Star. It seems to recount some sort of exchange of Aaravos giving the city of Elarion - or a person - what seems to be dark magic, but the language is too poetic to be fully clear.

We know that dark magic is probably what made humans turn away from becoming primal mages (as Ezran confirms that Callum is the first primal human mage in centuries, not ever, in S4). It may have been Aaravos' influence or their own inclinations. We don't know.

Dark mages accordingly later hunted down basically all the unicorns; this is one of the reasons humans were exiled to the West and the continent was split in two. We also know, thanks to some promo art released in the lead-up to S4, that Ziard was very much a pawn to Aaravos, same as the other human mages he's used. Originally humans were going to be murdered, but a daughter of a Moonshadow leader argued for an exile; this was a 'Merciful Compromise' under the leadership of the Dragon Monarch at the time, Luna Tenebris, who took over after Sol Regem was blinded by Ziard or otherwise seen as unfit to rule. (We see her mentioned in the S4 flashbacks regarding the draconic succession crisis, so I won't go into too much there! We also just know very little about her.)

But finally, we're at the turning point for the narrative, marked definitively 1,000 years ago when Xadia was split in two and the Breach was formed. About 700 years later (or 300 before the start of the show) we get the Orphan Queen. She is Harrow and Ezran's ancestor and the start of their royal line. In the events that likely led to her becoming queen of Katolis, she travelled to Xadia and revealed Aaravos' schemes to the Arch-dragons.

She also kept Aaravos' rune cube, also known as the Key of Aaravos, safe and passed it down to her descendants (Harrow and now Callum) although information has been lost on what it precisely unlocks and how it works. We know the human she's depicted with in the flashback was also a mage known only as the Jailor.

Here's where it gets Messy:

Specifically: when did Aaravos' chest piece get taken, if it is a physical piece he lost and then had, rather than something that flickers in and out per magical usage? (After all, it glows fully when channelling magic through Viren in 2x09, but there is every implication that Star gems called Quasar Diamonds do come from Star touch elves directly thanks to past concept art. Diamonds in real life ancient mythological times were also often seen as Fallen stars and tears of the gods, which would also line up.)

In the textbook's depiction here, he doesn't have it, and this seems to predate the Fall of Elarion and exile, although that's still speculative. (After all, he could've been 'helping' humans in their eyes after the fall, and this is where the art comes from; if he was planning on letting humans strike a blow against Xadia, that'd easily constitute the treachery Zubeia describes in 4x04, in her eyes at least).

However, in the flashback we get to the actual Exile, and in 1x01 no less, Aaravos has his crown (whose diamond pattern matches the ones often found on Katolis' clothing, including the princes) and his chest piece fully.

So like - which Is it?

We don't know.

it’s no surprise when this is (one of) his primary love languages. words of affirmation, he makes them so personal and tailored to exactly what the person needs. he knows how to comfort them, how to help, and- most importantly- when to say “you’re doing all you can” and shut the fuck up. davey loves complimenting the smallest things to show that he really cares and really pays attention

Acts of Service:

so personally i think THIS one is absolutely davey’s primary love language. davey has a problem with putting other people before himself - which @roideny and i have talked about extensively - and though this can sometimes be detrimental to himself, he really genuinely TRULY loves doing things for people, whether this be cooking dinner, editing essays, or giving people rides.

he LOVES doing things for his friends and the people he loves, whether they be minuscule or something huge and lovely- acts of service is where he thrives (and sometimes crashes and burns. he’s working on it.)

Physical Touch:

now, the thing with davey is that he’s not a fan of physical touch. it’s kind of a sensory overload- it’s overwhelming and sometimes he doesn’t know what to do or how much touch is good, so if he leans against you or lays in your lap or cuddles you while taking a nap, you know you’ve got it good. jack is one of the only ones who can get the infamous Davey Hug unless davey is in a really good mood (aside from his family, of course; there’s nothing that a big hug from Esther can’t fix).

Gifts:

davey honestly is not a very good gift giver— at least, that’s what he tells himself. he usually can have somewhat of a success with gifts, but he never seems to think so himself.

he’s great at writing cards- hello again, Words of Affirmation!- but gifts just,, are not his forte. he’s not super artistic, so DIY stuff isn’t a good bet, and buying gifts just causes a lot of anxiety. his go-to is a nice card and money!

that being said i do think he would eventually just start taking pictures of everything that jack his friends point out at the mall or at Target or wherever the fuck they are, so he’s trying! it just takes a sec

Quality Time:

HERE’S the kicker.

davey is a SLUT for quality time. you wanna go grocery shopping but don’t want to be alone? bring davey. you wanna do homework in silence for four hours? let davey lay in your floor. doing laundry? cooking dinner? cleaning the house? davey is right there.

it doesn’t even have to be something that they’re actively doing together, as long as davey is present it counts. now, he doesn’t think that quality time is a huge thing for himself, but beneath that fiercely independent exterior, all he wants is to hang out and talk. it doesn’t have to be a grand adventure- hell, even sitting in a parked car and having lunch could be the highlight of his day.

so, in order, davey’s love languages are: Quality Time, Acts of Service, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, and Gift Giving!

I think u might have a different opinion on what a hopeless romantic is. Hes not a lovesick puppy believing love conquers all but when he's in love with someone he's in love with them. What u described about him memoralizing your wedding is literally being romantic. Anon shared a link of two people dancing and said they could see Konig doing that and u tore in to them for saying they think hed be a hopeless romantic yet said the same thing at the end of ur rant. Is it too far a stretch to think if he has fallen for u hard enough to marry u and let u in that he wouldn't lay on the rizz sometimes. He sees something that makes him think of u and he'll get it or make it. U look good in that fit hes telling u how beautiful u are. Those are romantic gestures whether he means them to be or not. Hey anon! I think you very much misunderstood the post. I mean that in no aggressive or mean way, but I don't think you understand what I was saying there

There's no "different opinion" - I'm being honest here, I googled the definition to be sure I wasn't fucking it up. Like, I popped "What is a hopeless romantic" into the search bar and hit enter. The reason I did that was because I wanted to be SURE of what I was saying. What is in the post is what a hopeless romantic is, the agreed upon definition. And he doesn't match it

Not being a hopeless romantic doesn't mean not being romantic at all. Like I said, my König is an UNINTENTIONAL romantic. He hasn't really been in stable, healthy, solid relationships nor has he had an interest in romantics. He's just doing what he does from the heart, he's not doing it for any of the reasons that hopeless romantics usually gravitate towards, he's not doing it for the sake of love alone, he's doing it for you.

And I didn't say or agree he was a hopeless romantic anywhere, my entire post was to state the opposite. Being hopelessly in love doesn't mean you're a hopeless romantic. There's different TYPES of romantics like there's different types of loves. That's all there is

He wouldn't "lay on the rizz", as you put it. This is a man in his forties. Quite frankly, I think I'm too old to even comprehend what that means exactly 😭 can't keep up with the slang. Thinking it means put in more effort, I guess?? He can and absolutely will, when the occasion calls for it (like I mentioned in the post about him being a great gift giver and doing extra with expected holidays), but that's not his day to day nor his first thought

He just consistently shows earnest, honest appreciation for his partner in his actions and behavior around them, even if his words fail him at times. Like, he's always putting in effort. He's just a grounded dude and doesn't have big aspirations in the world of love nor has he put much thought into it. He hasn't had a reason to before you. His ideal love is sharing breakfast at a coffee table you carved both of your initials into, that's what he thinks about. He's content to exist and spend time with the one he loves. Sharing his every day and continual, heartfelt gestures are his usual deal.

He's not a Gomez Adamms (I love Gomez and Morticia so so much they're goals), he's not this ultra romantic huge fairytale sweep-you-off-your-feet guy. [The fairytales he grew up reading were quite morbid I don't think you want to experience those] He's just a down-to-earth guy doing his best to show love in ways he's comfortable and can express when he hasn't exactly learned how to.

If you want more 'out there' gestures, especially things that require him to act more in a certain way or decorum, you have to nudge him down that route. Like I've said in past posts, he'll learn crafts and skillsets for you, he likes to learn. If it's for someone he loves, that gives him a reason TO learn and do it. He just won't always initially think the same things because he has not spent his life thinking about love or even really caring for it

I've also quite literally said he does have plenty of romantic gestures and does them - but romantic gestures alone does NOT make him a hopeless romantic. There's a whole different thought and categorization behind that label. I've never denied him doing romantic gestures or gestures that could be considered such

And my idea in the whole bullets thing was his thought when it came to things like "love conquers all". Love cannot conquer that physical force and my point was that it wasn't a thought or use in HIS world there, because he's not thinking about love on the field, he's thinking about how not to die. It's showing how he doesn't fit into that box of being a hopeless romantic

I'm sorry if I seem blunt in these or go on and ramble or am super wordy. That's just my autistic ass and my tendency to over explain to be sure that my point is being thoroughly understood. I'm trying to phrase it in a way that covers all aspects and conveys my own point of view and reasoning.

I mean ABSOLUTELY nothing personal when I disagree with asks like that. Really, it is VERY sweet thoughts and I'm happy that you like my König enough to ask about him and to suggest things to me. It's never a personal motivation to disagree with the points suggested or meant as an attack when I'm explaining that that isn't him. It's just that my characterization of him is veryyyy different than most and if someone is trying to go a way with him that doesn't fit his character necessarily, I'm going to correct and show "hey, this is how he is with how I type him and this is why!"

Going along with a point that I don't align with isn't me and doesn't do his characterization any favors. I try to stick to it and keep it consistent. And sometimes, how people maybe see him or type him just doesn't match with my view. And that's fine! Everyone is entitled to their own headcannons. But this is my blog so I'm going to give my point of view and explain why I do what I do. I've put a lot of thought into it and characterize him the way I do for many reasons, and as such I follow through with it and will always explain how I see him. Otherwise, that's just not my König!

And I know no one means any harm with it or with any suggestions like that. Like I said, nothing personal. But I'm always going to explain myself and give my own reasonings if I don't agree. My take on him is quite different than what's typically expected so there's a lot of nuances and ins and outs people are still figuring out as they try to get his vibe, I just explain it when I can
