Hoe! Hoe! Hoe! Naughty Night!
Hello and welcome to my Christmas AUvent Calendar! Every day from now until the 24th I will be posting a ficlet that is 500-1500 from an AU I've done over the years.
All stories will be marked with the tag #12 aus of christmas so you can follow along as I will only be tagging my permanent list for this (it would get too confusing otherwise).
The next one on our list is: Stripper verse. You can read the story here. All links will be to the first chapter, but the chapter itself will have links to the rest of the story.
Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day 7 Day 8
~
Eddie was positively gleeful. Ever since Steve joined the Hellfire Exotic Club, his whole life had changed. In addition to having Steve as the best boyfriend he’s ever had, he got three new dancers who were amazing, he got to design the club the way he always wanted it, and then there were the themed nights.
It all started with Fairy Tail night which was a rousing (eyebrow wagging) success. So Chrissy and he got down and started planning out other themed nights. Halloween Killer Night was a personal favorite.
Which brought him to tonight.
Hoe! Hoe! Hoe! Naughty or Nice Night. It was going to be a blast. The premise was someone accidentally writing to Satan their very naughty gift wish list and Satan deciding to Nightmare Before Christmas it up.
Brian was going to be their Santa Claus turned Greed when Satan temps him with all the finer things that Santa misses out on all year making presents for children. Scott was going to play the naughty list maker and he was going to dance with all the Deadly Sins as they check off things off his list.
It was going to be so hot.
Steve’s biggest worry was whether or not people were going to be happy to see Eddie’s Lucifer take a backseat this time as you really can’t accidentally write to Lucifer the way you could with Satan.
But Eddie had no doubts that since it was only for the one show very few people were going to have a problem with Steve taking center stage. After all that’s what he did every Sunday anyway.
“All right, you win!” Steve said after Eddie’s very impassioned speech about it. “I’ll go seduce the entire Deadly Sins. If that’s what you want.”
Eddie pounced on him and kissed him dirty. Once he was sure Steve was thoroughly wrecked, he got off and grinned. “You can slut around on stage all you want, Stevie, but I’m the only one who can do that.”
Steve propped himself on his elbows. “Yeah, yeah. Now get back up here and finish me off, you menace!”
Eddie cackled and dove right back in to do just that.
~
They were on their last dance and Eddie was absolutely covered in sweet. All his dancers were. They had worked hard tonight and had earned every bit of their Christmas bonuses just tonight, never mind the rest of the year.
Steve straddled Brian’s lap and gave the once Santa a lap dance, bumping and grinding against him. Brian’s hands were all over Steve’s oiled up form. And just as Santa grabbed Satan to take him as his own, Mrs. Claus burst on to the scene. She fainted and the other demons rushed her, pulling off her clothes. Astrid who danced as Astaroth rose up, her hair in disarray, her body naked.
The other demons danced up to her leading her away from where Santa and Satan where making out on Santa’s throne and into the arms of Scott’s wisher. Then the two danced as she fell in further into lust.
Then Eddie’s Lucifer walked out and threw out his hands. Everyone froze as if captured by Lucifer’s spell. Then yanked as if they were all on strings attached to his hands. All the dancers fell to the floor at his feet, even Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Scott.
“Someone’s been naughty, my little demons,” Lucifer said with a grin. “You need to put Santee Claus back so that he can deliver presents to all the kids of the world. Good and bad.”
Brian and Astrid stood up and walked up to Lucifer. Lucifer put his fingers under their chins. “You two are always welcome to come back for next year, but when I say you can.” He pushed them away. “Now run along.”
Both Astrid and Brian looked at each other and then gathered their clothes and ran off stage in different directions. Then he pulled Steve and Scott to him. “You two caused a lot a of mischief tonight and you know how I love mischief. So I’ll grant you each a Christmas wish.”
Scott wished to be a demon, which was granted, the clothes that he had worn all night, being torn off to reveal his nightly demon costume.
Steve looked up at Eddie and cocked his head to side. “I’m the demon of Envy, Lucy. You know what I want. Everything you have, I want it. All of it!”
Eddie pulled Steve’s Satan in close until they were practically fused to each other. “Oh my little Deadly Sin. You want everything and will always crave more and more. There is nothing in the world that would satisfy you. Nothing but me.”
Then pulled Steve in for searing kiss and the crowd went wild. Eddie ripped off the last part of Steve’s costume that he was still wearing which was the red leather thong and threw it at the audience.
“Because I all I want for Christmas,” Lucifer purred, leaning Satan back to touch his chest, “is you.”
He sealed that promise with a searing kiss.

Moar? Moar Puddles Pity Party you say???
Very well.
Puddles’ alter ego is Michael Geier, who invented the character when he was part of a short-lived clown band in ‘98. In '10, as an experiment, Puddles tried going solo in one of the Hunger Teen Aqua Force concerts. After being well liked by the audience, and encouragement from his wife, Puddles continued his solo career, and became Internet Famous (in a good way).

100% someone I would expect to see on stage with Les Claypool, love Claypool too guy you’d see walking down the street and wonder what that goofy dude is doing.
I shouldn’t have tried to imagine what Puddles would sound like doing Dio, I got it way off.
Not quite Brian Johnson stepping in to Bon Scott’s shoes, but that was a solid RJD tribute there, what a fun life to live he has, looks like he makes enough money to live off of and be happy.
Guy is wonderful.
I took a moment to look him up by real name too, which his wiki goes to Puddles instead of his actual name which I appreciate, and something caught my eye at the end.
If Al makes it to my town again for this tour I will be sure and get some pics for you, but he hasn’t made a stop here for his last couple tours, as live national acts go I have seen him more than any other, caught him 3 times.
First of which was in 87 when he was the opening act for the Monkees, which as first live concerts go, I can’t think of a much better one to start with.

Power of Five festive times
Matt used to get gifts from his Aunt Gwenda and Brian when he first went to them from age eight, but they were always cheap toys from the £1 shop or some stall at Ipswich market. When Matt was ten, Gwenda told him he was too old for presents and just gave him £5, which went nowhere. As soon as he turned twelve, even that stopped. It has been so long since he had a real family Christmas, and now he's with Richard and the other Gatekeepers, they are all celebrating together, courtesy of the Nexus, who have offered to pay for everything.
Scarlett is the first to suggest putting the tree up at the start of November. In her home, Christmas was always celebrated for exactly twelve days, as both her parents were too busy to be there with her; her housekeeper would only allow the house to look cluttered for twelve days. This year, now that she is with Matt, she is in her element. That December holds the new record for the most snowy days, due to Scarlett's festive mood. They can no longer control her enthusiasm, and Richard agrees to decking out the entire place in shimmering, sparkling, twinkling lights.
Matt hovers the top of the tree into place as Richard and Scarlet open all the branches out. It seems Pedro is sensitive to the fake snow on the branches, as he starts sneezing almost at once. Pedro has never had a Christmas in his life, but he has some idea of the holidays from the movies he snuck into back in Peru. He is more interested in the shiny baubles and juggling them, a skill he learned from when he was a street performer. For a little while, he tries to teach Scarlet how to juggle, but she is hopeless.
Matt has finally secured the top of the tree, but it's so big none of them can reach it, not even Richard. So Matt moves the star to the top, then carefully uses his power to wrap the tree lights around and around, focusing carefully. In seconds, the tree is illuminated, with Scarlett asking Matt where he has been all her life.
The door opens, and Pedro gives a sniffled laugh. Jamie and Scott are wearing matching reindeer headbands they got from one of the stalls at the Christmas market. Scott isn't too fussed on his, but he is wearing it because it's making Jamie happy. Scott glares at Pedro a little for laughing, but then remembers he doesn't need to be so uptight and defensive anymore. Now that the Old Ones have gone, he relaxes a little and notices how warm it is in here, how comfortable the couch is, and that a Christmas movie is playing on the TV. Jamie goes up to Matt and sticks the reindeer headband on him. Pedro sneezes again.
Scott and Jamie are now together on the couch, with the Grinch on TV trying to ruin Christmas. They've had plenty of Christmases with many people, all the foster homes and children's homes they've been in, it's nice for them to finally have a place they can call home, with a family they want to be with. There's no risk here of being beaten or shouted at.
This was not the Christmas Richard Cole expected. Normally for him Christmas meant struggling through the crowds all flooding into york to get on to a train back to London to visit family. Sometimes he would just stay and be by himself, maybe working on university work or later a newspaper article. This year though? He had a bigger place, paid for by the Nexus, they had a £60 turkey in the large fridge with all the toppings and sides, so much party food he could have fed the World Army for a month and now he had five teenagers with him, all with amazing powers. As he watched, Matt levitated some plastic mistletoe and dangled it down slowly between Pedro and Scarlett who were still trying to juggle. They noticed it at once with Scarlett breaking into a laugh before kissing Pedro on the check.
One of the twins stood up and walked toward the window, gazing down with deep focus. Richard could hear what sounded like snow being thrown outside and shouts of protest. Richard decided to ignore it; he knew one of the twins had instigated a snowball fight below on the street, but decided this time not to comment. His twin called to him to come back. Pedro sneezed again, dropping the baubles he was holding, as Matt went over to stand near the mischievous twin. Both boys were watching something; there was a small noise above on the roof as snow slid down and landed with a soft thud on the street below. More shouting and laughter joined the first group. Richard sipped his hot chocolate. Yes, it was time he moved those two from the window before they caused more trouble; no doubt the people below were now covered in snow.
"Matt... Jamie(?)" He said with a small smile, best he be the responsible adult here. At the same time, he didn't know which twin that was, but he didn't want to assume it was Scott. The twin he had guessed at didn't correct him, so Richard was slightly surprised to realise Scott was indeed the twin curled up on the couch watching the Grinch.
Yes, this Christmas was different for all of them, but it was better than any other. The events of Oblivion seemed like an age ago, with the world now healing from The Old Ones. This was definitely a Christmas to have much to cheer.

CW: Mentions of death and grief, based off of real experiences
… Polly had decided she no longer liked funerals. She only vaguely remembered attending one in life: that of her grandfather, Vanya Geist, roughly around 2006. Of course, all of her other grandparents had passed on, but Polly’s grandfather’s funeral stuck in her mind for multiple reasons: mainly because he was the only one to pass not only when she herself was still alive, but was also old enough to remember it.
The second, and more prevalent reason, was because that was when her father’s drinking problem took a turn for the worst. Polly took to drinking herself not long after that, while still following her rule of thumb. In a way, she and her father bonded over drinking. Sure, she remembered fuck-all about her first drink, but he was there the entire time for it.
And now she won’t be able to share a drink with him ever again. His… well, second funeral was only a fortnight ago. He and her mother had moved on while Polly was on her road trip to California. Being so far away from family… hardly even knowing that her parents were close to moving on… learning second-hand of it happening.
Not only would she never be able to share a drink with him ever again, she’d never be able to play chess with her mom again, never engage in girl talk with her mother again… Never see them, happy together, ever again.
She could only imagine how it felt for Spencer, who was there in their final moments of moving on. How was he feeling? How long did he have to sit with this knowledge before deciding to call her? How did he feel when it turned out that they willed the house to him, so he didn’t have to worry about looking for an apartment? … How did he feel about now having no one to share this home with?
She spent almost the entirety of Sitting Shiva with him, so he didn’t have to deal with this grief alone anymore. Neither of them shared a word with each other in that time; they just knew how the other was feeling without needing to say it. Finally, after a whole week of mourning, Polly felt that she was ready to leave, making sure her brother was okay to be left alone in the house again.
So here she was, on her walk home, the December snow having coated the world in white while she was in black. The mourning period may officially be over… but she still felt empty. The sound of laughter as kids played in the snow did nothing to lift her spirits.
… Oh wait. That was no child. That was Scott.
“WHOO! Throw it again! Farther!”
“Alright, alright, Babe…!”
Polly recognized those two voices from anywhere: her best friend, Scott, was playing fetch with his boyfriend, Brian. They were enjoying themselves… and it made Polly wish she could feel the same way. She didn’t even need to say anything before both of them noticed her.
“Oh! Hi, Polly!” Scott greeted, scooping her up in a hug, wagging his tail. “I haven’t seen you all week, not since the end of the road trip!”
“Yeah… I’ve just been sitting at home…” Polly answered, not feeling the energy to hug her bestie back.
“H-Hey, Scott,” Brian called out. “Isn’t it time to meet with your subjects?”
“Ooh! Yes! I forgot! Thanks, bro!” Scott answered, kissing Brian before dashing off, leaving him and Polly alone.
“Is it really time for Scott to meet with his fanbase?” Polly asked.
“No. I just wanted us to have a talk,” Brian answered, sitting on a bench, with her sitting next to him. “Scott… doesn’t take talking about death well.”
“Funny, since he’s dating a zombie,” Polly halfheartedly chuckled. “I’m guessing that’s why neither of you attended the service?”
“Yeah. But, honestly, if Scott was there, he probably would’ve cried the entire time, because, well, you’re his best friend.”
“Yeah… dude doesn’t deserve to cry,” Polly agreed, wiping any tears that she felt coming. “Besides, he saw my mom as a mom too… Probably would’ve asked to Sit Shiva with me… and then run off when he’s told that includes no football for a week.” Brian gave a light chuckle in response.
“So… do you know when they’ve moved on?” Brian asked.
“Spencer said almost a week before we made it to Veranotone.”
“So… you were told second-hand.”
“Yeah…”
“… So was I.”
… Hold the phone. This is the first Polly was hearing of this: Brian actually ended up going through what she did?
“Who?”
“My grandfather. My mom’s dad,” Brian answered. “I was about… sixteen, I think, when it happened. It was a December day, like this one, back in 1989, right before Christmas vacation. I already knew beforehand that my granddad was sick. He was getting up there and the eighties were not kind for him. But one of the things you can credit him for? My love of football.”
“Oh?” Polly asked, looking up at Brian.
“It was one of the first things he fell in love with when he and Grandma immigrated here in the fifties. And he passed that love to my father, and to me,” Brian continued to narrate. “He’d take me to every game he could up until 1987. And that’s roughly about when I started to actually play football. In fact, I have an old jersey in my closet. Does not fit me anymore.”
“Your granddad got it for ya?”
“Yeah. He did. Number 56… ‘56 also happened to be the year my grandparents immigrated. So it was considered his own personal lucky number. And I picked that number when I started playing. We had actually finished my first season as a player when… it happened.
“My grandma, dad’s mom, was going to be the one to pick me up from school that day. Again, I knew my granddad was sick. So imagine my surprise when I saw my own mom pick me up instead. I… I thought granddad was feeling better.” Tears were starting to appear on his face as he continued. “He… he wasn’t.”
“Oh… Brian, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s not your fault… Just, it’s hard not being there to say goodbye yourself,” Brian concluded, to which Polly nodded in agreement. “Christmas was only a few days after the funeral, and it was probably the worst one of my either of my lives. The next year, 1990, would probably be the hardest of my life. I let my grades slip, almost to the point where it cost me my spot on the team. Days, weeks, months began to blur. Then September came… and Sundays started making sense again.”
“Hmm?”
“I very much latched onto my granddad’s favorite team. It was my way of grieving. They were good, but never really went far as they did this season. They made it to the playoffs, thirteen-and-three record, and every game they won after that felt like he was there with me.” A smile slowly began to appear on Brian’s face. “I woulda gone to Tampa myself to watch the game in person, but no way was some seventeen-year-old getting from Jersey to Florida, let alone get a ticket for the biggest game of the year!” Brian chuckled at his story, and Polly began chuckling as well. “So, like every other day that season, I was parked in front of the TV. But that day, I wasn’t alone.”
“Wow… that’s… umm…” Polly began, trying to put the words together, confusion forming on her face.
“I know it’s long-winded, but there’s a point to this story,” Brian chuckled. “Grief… it’s different for everyone. I could only imagine how my parents handled my own death just five years later… But, I swear until the day I die a second time, I felt him every time I watched football, every time I played. And I swear he moved that ball Wide Right.” Brian wiped his tears on his sleeve. “Grief doesn’t leave you. It morphs into the love you have for them, into the things you did together, into the things you continue to do without them there.”
Polly’s gaze went downward, staring at her gloved hands. What Brian said did make sense. He must’ve felt so vulnerable bringing this up with her. He… he trusted her. He trusted her enough to show her that he knew what she was going through.
“Fuck, Bri.”
“Is… is that your way of—?”
“Thank you.”
“… Well that answers that question,” Brian laughed, patting her on the back. “I’ll leave ya to your walk, then. Just think about what I said, ‘kay?”
“Will do,” Polly answered, giggling as she got back up and continued walking. She still felt down, sure, but not as down as she was earlier… Maybe she’ll go play chess and drink wine with Vera later. She thinks—no, she knows—it’s what her parents would’ve wanted.

NEW X-MEN: THE ANIMATED SERIES - SEASON 1, EPISODE 6
We open in Scott’s office, where he and Emma are screaming at each other. Evidently, having noticed her kids were the ones Laura had become attached to, and with Laura being too far ahead of everyone else to be on a squad herself, Emma made her her TA, which today meant having her beat the crap out of her friends for 30 minutes. Scott insists she can’t do dangerous and irresponsible “lessons” like that, especially without telling him, while Emma maintains that having the kids fight a real high-level opponent they know and are comfortable with in an exercise is a better way to ease them in to this level of combat than a simulation against an unfamiliar foe who will make them panic and stress.
SCOTT: “They don’t NEED to ever be on that level of combat.”
EMMA: “Perhaps if they were, two of them wouldn’t have been so easily kidnapped by Spiral.”
Scott smirks at her. When she questions what he’s gawking at, he just says that with how much everyone else hates her and wants her out of here, it’s nice to be reminded that, if nothing else, the ice queen cares. Emma, unable to show her true feelings for a second, simply laughs at this.
She changes the topic and says that, in any case, he should just be grateful to Julian. If he hadn’t fulfilled the exercise’s task of landing a hit on Laura, they would have gone on for twice as long.
EMMA: “Barring the ex-assassin, he unquestionably has the most potential of all our students.”
SCOTT: “He’s an arrogant bully with no respect. Sofia will fly far higher than him.”
Emma’s amused by his choice. Of course Scott would favor someone as stiff, awkward, and as much of a goody two-shoes as himself.
The screaming restarts, with Scott resenting that comment, and it eventually coming to him reminding her that she won’t even be here after the first semester ends, but the arguing is brought to a halt by a familiar face stepping into the office, and greeting her old friend in an unmistakable accent.
“Is the White Queen giving you a problem, Sugah?”
Rogue enters, with Scott’s mood instantly improving upon seeing another old friend. After greeting her, Scott asks how she is and if Gambit’s with her. She’s been better, doesn’t want to talk about it, and Gambit ran off on his own for a heist. Again.
She makes clear she’s not here to join the New X-Men, but wanted to see how things were going here. Scott’s happy to show her around, and tells Emma she can go work on her lesson plan - no more surprises.
Emma exists in a humph, while Rogue notices the picture of the X-Men on Scott’s shelf. She asks if she can just have a moment alone to look at this before they get started. It reminds her of better times.
Scott exists, at which point Rogue’s mouth turns blue with red lips and she smirks. Tapping her earpiece, Mystique tells her employer she’s in. Said employer turns out to be Stryker, who’s pleased so far, and tells her to proceed with assassinating Cyclops.
Mystique shifts fully back into Rogue, and tells Scott she’s ready for the tour now.
We cut to Beast’s chemistry class, where he’s handing back tests.
BEAST: “By funny coincidence, exactly two of you received perfect scores, congratulations to Ms. Mantega and Ms. Washington, and only two of you received failing marks. Well, actually, I guess that’s not so funny if you’re one of the ones who failed. Apologies.”
From his reaction to his test, it’s clear Brian is one of the ones who failed.
As the bell rings, Beast reminds them all about their homework, and, as they’re leaving, calls over Brian and Laura. This was the first major exam of the semester, and he’s concerned with how poorly they both did.
Brian is surprised Laura failed, since she seems to be good at everything, but while she mostly just glares at him, Beast explains. Brian clearly put in a lot of effort but lacks an understanding of the material. As for Laura…
BEAST: “I understand your previous…teachers (he struggles to even call her abusers that) taught you far more advanced material than this, and all of your answers were correct, but you gave the bare minimum responses with no elaboration.”
Laura blows a stray strand of hair out of her face. Yes, she knows this stuff. No, she doesn’t care enough about grades to put in effort.
LAURA: “It's been a month, and I’m already a TA. Give me the semester, and I’ll be an X-Man, and out of this class.”
Beast just smiles and leans forward, saying that, be that as it may, she’s still in his class right now, and if she doesn’t want to harm her X-Men prospects, she should really try and pass. He’s giving them an extra credit assignment to do together, due tomorrow, in the hopes Laura can tutor Brian in the process and help him understand things better, and Brian’s enthusiasm and effort will rub off on her.
Brian tries to argue, but Beast tells them they should get going now if they don’t want to be late to their next class.
The two walk out and while Brian tries to arrange a time to meet with “Scary Girl”, she ditches him, saying she’s not doing this.
Scott takes Rogue to Telepathy class so she can see Jean. The two are so glad to see each other again, and Jean compliments Scott on being such a sweetie showing her around, kissing him on the cheek. As Scott wraps his arm around her, an exasperated Rogue says this is what she’s missing out on. Remy’s a bum, but these two are the perfect couple.
SCOTT, playfully: “Well, I wouldn’t say perfect..”
JEAN, equally playfully: “Oh, hush.”
Scott says they’ll go see Storm and Kitty next, before they get to the fun stuff.
ROGUE: “Oh, I cannot wait.”
While they aren’t looking she expresses disgust at how lovey-dovey they were being.
Later in the day at their lockers, Brian asks Sooraya if she can talk to Laura for him and get her to help with the project. He can’t do this alone, and he needs this for his grade. Sooraya says he really should have just studied harder and not ended up in this position. Brian insists it’s not that easy and begs Sooraya to help him here. She sighs and relents, telling him she’ll see what she can do, but she makes no promises. Laura isn’t a normal student, and he can’t expect her to have the priorities of one.
BRIAN: “Yeah, I got that picture when she was kicking us around like ragdolls yesterday.”
Sooraya wishes him luck…and tells him he owes her and is paying for her the next time they go to a movie.
BRIAN, as Sooraya walks off with a smirk: “But that’s not fair! Julian always pays anyway!”
That night, Mystique’s been put up in a room. On her phone, she’s texting Destiny. She misses her wife so much and she’s coming home as soon as this job is done. Destiny hasn’t been sleeping well. There’s so much darkness to come in the near future, and her visions are haunting her. Mystique tells her that’s fine. They’re creatures of the darkness after all and they’ll get through this together. And once she’s home, she’ll do what she can regarding her sleeping troubles. Destiny thanks her, but does ask why she chose to do this job as their daughter.
MYSTIQUE: “What can I say? I miss her.”
They say they love each other in the most dramatic, Shakespearean way possible, before Mystique puts her phone away and gets to work.
Mystique slinks into the hall, disguised as Rogue. On her way to Scott’s room, she’s distracted a few times. She hears a scream in the library and peaks in to see Brian, alone, struggling with his paper, which gets a small snicker out of her. She sees the lights on in the gym and finds Laura and James up late training, with James really wanting to go to bed, but Laura insisting they have to keep going.
In the common area, Julian’s gotten his his hands on some booze and is trying to get Cessily, Sofia, and Sooraya to drink with him, but Cessily is too scared of getting caught, Sofia is hung up on them being underage and this being against the law, and school rules, and when Julian tries pushing Sooraya to at least join him, he gets a fist to the face from an incoming Noriko, who explains the obvious problem with what he was just doing.
JULIAN: “You suck, Ashida…but sorry about that, Soo.”
SOORAYA, with a small smile: “Thank you, Noriko.”
NORIKO: “Don’t bother. Now give me some of that.”
As Nori reaches for the bottle, Julian gets up and shouts that she wasn’t invited, leading to another argument between the two.
Mystique rolls her eyes at all these antics.
Upon reaching Scott’s bedroom, when she peaks in, Scott isn’t there, with Jean alone in bed.
Realizing he must still be awake, she shuts the door and takes on Jean’s form.
In the library, Brian has given up. He’s got nothing written, three different textbooks opened in front of him, and he’s clueless. Just when he’s packing up his stuff, about to head to bed and accept his fate, however, Laura enters.
BRIAN, bitter: “If you’re here to help, Scary Girl, don’t bother.”
As he tries to walk past her, she stops him. She made the mistake of engaging in conversation during her training with Warpath, and off-handedly mentioned this project. He agreed with Beast that she needs to do well in all her classes to get what she wants.
LAURA, annoyed, quoting James: “If you don’t commit to your studies, how can we know you’ll be committed as an X-Man?”
She takes the textbooks in his arms and sits down at a computer.
LAURA: “Find some way to contribute or your name isn’t going on this.”
Brian, glad to have the help, but really not liking Laura’s attitude, sits down next to her.
As Jean, Mystique enters Scott’s office, where he’s still working. She asks when he’s coming to bed, but Scott doesn’t think he’s getting any sleep that night. Too much to do, too much to worry about. Stryker’s still out there, probably rebuilding his ranks, they still don’t know who Mastermind and Mystique were working for, there’s an interminable pile of requests and complaints from parents, students, teachers alike, he has to win over all of Xavier’s old connections to keep them as allies, and it’s all just too much. Jean wraps her arms around him and assures him he’s doing his best, and that will be enough in the end. But he deserves to rest.
Jean moves in to kiss him, but Scott pushes her away, saying not now. He has to stay focused. He has to keep working. Jean should just go to bed.
Jean goes harder on the seduction, reaching for his ass and balls, but that just gets Scott to stand up and, losing his cool for a moment, shout at her. He quickly apologizes, he’s so sorry, but he’s not in the mood. He’s not sure when he will be again. Continuing to play the role of sweet, understanding Jean, she forgives him, kisses him on the cheek, and wishes him good night.
In the library, Laura is working on their paper, typing exceptionally fast, while Brian just sits there, occasionally laughing.
Eventually, Laura gets annoyed and asks him what’s so funny. He says it’s nothing, until she threatens him with her claws.
LAURA: “I don’t like being stared at.”
Brian backs off and explains she’s making the same mistake that got her in this position. He can actually understand what she’s writing, and that’s only because she’s explaining everything in the most basic, bare bones way.
BRIAN: “You’re not even gonna hit the minimum word count like that.”
Laura groans with exasperation. This is such a waste of time.
BRIAN: “Yeah, cause obviously a beast like you doesn’t have a need for an education.”
Laura kicks Brian out of his chair, and stands over him. She still thinks it won’t end well for them, but Julian, Cessily, and Sooraya have all accepted her as a “friend”. What’s his problem with her?!
Brian vents about how she goes out of her way to be creepy and off-putting to everyone, she acts like she’s better than everyone, “Ms. TA”, and she is, to the point he’s not even sure what she’s doing here…
BRIAN: “And it was bad enough when I thought I was just competing with little miss perfect, but you clearly want a piece of Julian too!”
Laura cycles through a series of reactions, before settling on actually laughing.
LAURA: “You idiot.”
Laura tells him that she’s gay, and has no interest in his crush. Brian counters that she’s shown up to their room before nervously running away, she lost it when Julian was kidnapped, and the first chance she got to join their friendgroup, she came in, despite avoiding everyone else.
LAURA: “Brian…who else was kidnapped?”
BRIAN: “Sofia, but I don’t see what…oh.”
Laura tells him she’s into Sofia, “these feelings are so strange”, and that’s why she lost her cool that day. She showed up to their room that time to tell Julian to back off her, but realized Sofia would probably hate her if she heard she’d done this, and she actually did try joining her and Noriko first, but she messed that up.
Brian, realizing his mistake, apologizes for being such a dick to her. Laura forgives him, admitting she understands people being off-put by her, romantic rival or not. Brian tells her that’s not a problem. She’s part of the gang now, and they’ve all got her back.
Laura hides a small smile. She admits he is right about what she’s doing wrong. But perhaps, if he actually does understand everything when it's written so flatly, with a little help, he could fill in the details.
BRIAN: “Let’s make it happen!”
Brian raises his arm for a high-five, but is denied.
Awkward silence.
Later into the night, Scott is still at his desk, struggling to stay awake, hunched over, chugging what’s clearly not his first cup of coffee with bags under his eyes.
EMMA: "Someone in your position really should try looking less pathetic while working."
Emma enters the office, dressed in lingerie, and sits on Scott's desk as she's one to do, crossing her legs.
Scott tells her to get out of here. Emma thinks he looks so distressed, it really isn't safe to leave him alone right now.
Scott clarifies he means he wants her out of the school. He's got so much on his plate, and constantly worrying if Emma is gonna betray them, cross a line, or get a kid killed while meaning well isn't helping matters. She's done.
Rather than back away, Enma purs. Crossing a line? What would be so bad about that?
Scott says he's not going to dignify explaining that, but Emma claps her hands on his cheeks.
EMMA: "Come on, Headmaster. Teach me something."
Through grit teeth, he tells her the X-Men are heroes following the mission Xavier laid out. Making people see that Mutants shouldn't be hated and feared. Bringing everyone together in harmony.
He then yanks her hands off him.
Emma mocks that she's heard this all before, and she doesn't get what it has to do anything. Crossing lines doesn't mean trying to take over the world like her and her old friends in Hellfire tried to do, and it doesn't mean running around spreading chaos and destruction like the Brotherhood. It just means doing what they have to to protect their people. It's not as if doing things Xavier's way has changed much over the last 15 years, has it?
As she speaks, she moves from his desk onto his lap.
EMMA: "Don't you ever just want to…cut loose?"
SCOTT: "Emma…"
Emma giggles, casting her eyes down for a moment. She can feel he can.
With Scott momentarily falling prey to stress, exhaustion, and his own body, Emma kisses him, and, for just a second, he kisses her back.
He pushes her away.
SCOTT: "Oh god…Jean…"
That's all Scott's able to say before the poison from Emma's lips kicks in and makes him fall over.
As Emma, really Mystique, shifts back into Rogue, she has to admit: She didn't think that would actually work on him.
Cut to Scott and Jean's bedroom. Jean jolts awake, instinctively knowing something's wrong with Scott; she can't sense his mind. As she flies out of bed, she alerts the X-Men that something's happened to Scott, and says she's scanning everyone in the school's minds to see if anyone knows what happened.
JEAN, venomously: "Mystique"
Her eyes set aflame in the shape of phoenix wings.
Back in the common area, Julian and Noriko are completely drunk. They're sat next to each other on a couch, heads resting on the back of it, on the verge of passing out. They both have big grins on their face as they speak barely legible sentences.
And they're *still* fighting.
NORIKO: "I feel like death. It didn't even taste good."
JULIAN: "Better than anything you can afford, bag lady."
NORIKO: "Ah, can it, future Brotherhood member."
Sofia, Brian, and Laura look down at them.
BRIAN: "How much did they drink exactly?"
Laura picks up an empty bottle. "All of it."
Sofia explains she tried to tell them this was a bad idea. She told Cess and Soo to go to bed and that she'd look after them.
Julian and Noriko proceed to barf into buckets.
SOFIA: "I'm glad I thought to grab those."
Jean rushes into Scott's office and finds him unconscious on the floor. She cries over him. Physically, he's dead.
But his soul has not passed on yet. She is Phoenix. She is life. And the man she loves does not die tonight.
Kissing him, a spark of Phoenix energy between their lips, she revives him.
Scott springs up and Jean holds him. She tells him it's okay. She will never let anything happen to him.
Catching his breath, he thanks her. Jean knows Mystique was responsible but she didn't dig further. What happened?
SCOTT: "Mystique? Oh god. She…she showed up as you and –”
JEAN, smiling warmly: "Shh. I understand. It's all okay now.” She levitates them both up their feet. “I love you."
SCOTT, tinged with just a little guilt: "I love you too. Now let's go get her."
Mystique casually walks back to her room as Rogue, satisfied with her work, but Kitty, James, and Roberto are waiting for her.
ROBERTO: "Hello, Mystique."
KITTY: "In case you were wondering, Storm's outside."
JAMES: "No escape this time."
Raven takes her true form. She's not so sure of that. She turns and runs. Not able to use their ranged attacks due to being in the school, the three can only chase after her, Kitty telling Jean to keep them notified of whoever she shifts into.
As those three chase her down, we see Scott and Jean rushing to meet them, Storm ready to bring down the heavens if Mystique gets outside, and Emma…casually taking her time getting dressed.
EMMA: "As if I'm going into battle in my eveningwear a second time."
Back in the common area, Sofia asks Brian and Laura how their project went. Laura is awkward talking to her crush, but Brian tells her they crushed it.
BRIAN: "Laura's a pretty great tutor."
SOFIA: "That's great! Thank you, Laura."
LAURA: *Commences Gay Panicking"
As Laura makes confused lesbian noises, we're not the only ones hearing her. Mystique is too, nearing the common area. She smirks.
Kitty hears their voices as well, panicking that the kids are closeby. James screams for them to run.
Laura snaps back to her usual self as she hears James. Something's happening.
In a split second, Mystique rushes by with twin pistols drawn. Laura instinctively moves to protect her friends, rushing Mystique, but Raven shoots around her, putting bullets in Sofia.
As Kitty, James, and Roberto arrive on the scene, they find their worst nightmare brought to life. Julian and Noriko snap awake, and Laura screams at them not to let her die as she chases after Mystique.
As the three X-Men move to apply pressure to the wounds, Julian and Noriko are horrified by the sight in front of them, and Kitty tells Jean they need her NOW.
While Mystique runs, she shapeshifts into Caliban, thinking Storm will hesitate seeing the dead man she avenged.
Julian and Noriko panic watching their best friend cling to life. While Julian comforts her…
JULIAN: "You're strong enough to survive this, Beautiful. I know it.",
Noriko is screaming at the X-Men.
NORIKO: "We're supposed to be safe here! Supposed to be protected! Protected by the best! But you three are barely older than us! Why were you on your own?!"
Kitty, Roberto, and James can do nothing but hang their heads in shame as they continue to work.
"Calm yourselves, children."
Jean arrives on the scene, engulfed in Phoenix energy.
JEAN: "I am here. All will be well."
Mystique makes it to the foyer, and it looks like she may actually make it out, but before she can see if her Caliban strategy would have worked, Scott brings her down with a single blast.
As Scott reports that he got her, Jean tells him Sofia is gonna be okay, as we see her healing her, Julian and Nori holding her hands.
As Scott moves to grab Mystique's unconscious body, Laura races in, rushing to kill Mystique. When she doesn't listen to Scott to stop, he's forced to fight her.
Laura is relentless and Scott can't keep up with her without seriously hurting her, resulting in him getting slashed up. By calling in Jean to project her healed friend's images into her mind, however, he's able to break her out of her rage.
Laura collapses in tears. She doesn't want to be like this. She doesn't. She's sorry. Scott holds her. He knows. And he knows James has been helping her too, but he has his own issues. Maybe he could try teaching her some things too. If she's ready to learn.
The other X-Men all walk in on Scott and Laura hugging on the floor.
The next day, Scott and Jean stand by the medical wing, where Beast is looking after Sofia, awake and looking fine, as her friends express their relief to her, but being kept under observation. The nature of Jean’s Phoenix abilities are still not entirely understood by them.
Scott tells Jean that they messed up. They can’t let this happen again. They need to do better. They all do. Jean puts an arm around him and tells him this isn’t his fault. She took a look around in Mystique’s mind before they handed her off to SHIELD.
JEAN: “Ironic with how many of us she’s given the government, right?”
Scott’s eyes widen while she’s saying this, confused by how she could have looked in Raven’s mind without learning the truth. Jean says she didn’t know who hired her, but also she saw what happened, and her performance as her was *very* good.
SCOTT: “I..umm..”
JEAN: “Honestly, I think you still should have seen through it, but you just died, so I’ll let it slide.”
The two laugh.
Jean says not to blame Kitty and the others either. They’re blaming themselves enough, and they did their best. No amount of saying they have to “do better” will change that that’s all they ever can do.
Scott sighs. She’s right. Like always.
JEAN: “What about Destiny? She won’t be too happy about this.”
SCOTT: “Without Mystique to do her dirty work, she’s a frail old woman with visions. She won’t cause any problems.”
Jean says in that case, since everything’s worked itself out, they should go get some breakfast, recommending a diner they haven’t been to in ages. Scott would love to. He just has to take care of one more thing.
As Jean walks off, Emma walks in.
SCOTT: “Good timing. We need to talk.”
EMMA: “Oh. Whatever about?”
Scott says he knows she did something to Mystique’s mind. What Jean saw in there doesn’t line up with the reality he knows, she’s the only other telepath on the team, and he knows the second she was alerted to Mystique’s presence, she would have gone as invasive as possible.
Emma smirks. “You’re welcome. But don’t get any ideas. You’re not my type at all.”
Scott says he knows she also did something to Mojo. He saw the look in her eyes after they were done with him. The same look the White Queen gave the X-Men so many times while gleefully tormenting them.
Emma doesn’t see the big deal. She cleaned up HIS mess, and made sure a threat would stay neutralized. That’s all. Now, if he’ll excuse her, she has a class to teach.
Emma walks toward the door.
SCOTT: “No you don’t.”
Emma freezes.
SCOTT: “You’re fired, Emma.”
Emma scowls as she leaves without another word.
Scott, now alone, sits down and buries his head in his hands.
“What have I done?”

Yasss!! I’m so glad you liked it. The director Charlotte Wells and producer of the film Barry Jenkins did a q&a after the movie in LA that was really great. Hearing her story about the movie and her dad was so sweet! I agree, no win but I’m so happy he was nominated. Can’t wait to see him with Saoirse Ronan (Foe), Josh O’Connor (History of Sound) and Andrew Scott (Strangers). I think he’s really choosing some great roles. I hope the Gladiators rumor was true cause that would be awesome! It’ll be a box off hit for sure and really put him as a household name. He won’t be the indie darling/hidden gem after that. Also, Brian tyree hill💜 I’m diving into causeway this weekend. ☮️
CHARLOTTE WELLS SHOULD’VE BEEN NOMINATED FOR BEST DIRECTOR. 😩😩😩
And I haven’t seen Women Talking yet but the buzz and outrage alone tells me Sarah Polley also deserved a nomination. I’ll stay bitter about it forever. But that’s a whole other discussion.
God bless Barry Jenkins and A24, I’ve loved what this studio has done for Horror but as a whole it just DELIVERS. Aftersun is so good, it really resonated with me on a personal level. Such a strong performance from Paul, so much more subtle than the other nominees. Also agree on his involvement with Gladiator! How exciting for him. Oh! And I remember you sent me a link for the sequel announcement but I didn’t get the chance to answer. I noticed Gladiator was added to Netflix at the same time that news came out. I’ll need to give it a rewatch, I’m sure it still holds up. With Paul involved, my expectations have definitely been raised!
Looking forward to seeing Causeway for BTH too. Aftersun put me in the mood for another good drama so I’ll try to watch tomorrow or Saturday.
I have to say I gave Triangle of Sadness a try and didn’t gel with it. It seemed, on the surface, like it had all the aesthetics of a Wes Andersen film without the charm. Idk, I’m going to really have to sit down with it again to see if maybe I’ll appreciate it more on a second viewing.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts as always, ☮️ anon. I’ll keep sharing as I chip away at the Oscar nominees too. 🤓🍿

There are a few more people and it's surprising to our son and yes BG imitates Scott Smith and it's homage there are others who are imitating and it's because of what their family knows.
It's horrible but he knew about 10 more people and it's different characters it's another doctor that works with Dr klugman and he got hit too with Dr klugman and they were not at fisherman's village there's another four or five people used to come by the house and ask for stuff no his visit and talk to people like Brian and Kathy and Ellie and they were regular friends of theirs and he lost some people today from his clan and it's like Stephen Ahern no that was one he was the guy had Otis and her son got along with him pretty good. Couple other folks as a woman named Liz he knew her from college but UMass it's Lisa and her real name is Liz Monday he said I won't tell people your secret identity and she laughed at those that's great and he was helping in the restroom cuz she was barfing and got it all over her hair and he was helping her wash it down a towel and she was happy little borrow it and she never returned it and he never said anything so she left with the towel or her head and her son said I'd like to tie up there and stuff but I have no idea how to do it this is a good you shouldn't and she was friends with the swedish girl and Hera substituted in and you couldn't tell. In a few more there were people like Sunday tunnel but the other one and she's gone and we mean these Sunday who was there the whole time and Sunday did not have the birthmarks that Hera had. Her family knew a lot about Max and they were trying to stop her. And the other one was the other form of Suzanne and our son basically knew that Suzanne is he saw not knowing which was which but he's never seen the other Suzanne it's weird cuz he couldn't tell Sunday tunnel was different she's acting different but two women acting for when there's another woman's around who might be competition. There are several others the electrician who put in the electrical at westborough the addition and he gives the guys a job Ron and Mike and they were upset and he got something through the projects and he's been defending them and he fell and I guess Trump will have to try it's not doing so good. There were more people couple more you do he knew Timothy Doyle who had a friend no Timothy passed away and he's from Mac Daddy this is I thought he was Thanos and another accident no he is Thanos and he's alive and they're surviving better. If there are several more but just getting hard for people so we might cut it short and Friends of Marie Doyle and Mr Doyle it's a sense of spiders like the whole family same despacito he left last week there's a lot of people he knew from there and more people are around that you know cuz he knows and there's 33 houses remaining
Thor Freya there's other actions going on and the 15 that came back went back out and that would leave only 18 if something happened to all of them but they're working
The cities are embattled and they're going to try and get in here more because they have to they say it is true the pseudo empire and clones and empire are here and they're not doing well so they're moving out to try and get forces here pretty big right now too
We have a lot to a announce. Well only a few things today went very badly for a lot of warlock they were beat in the battlefield and their beat in court and they're taking a beating in town and they're getting picked up and put in jail. It's not a good time for them there's several people that blame our son in this ridiculous and they don't believe them. They are going after the sheriff $125 last week a down to 120 and they're going to try for five more tomorrow. And the police they were 45 last week this week they're 40 it's going that way. There are several other things happening
-people are threatening to shoot people if they don't let them publish so we're going to publish

Meet Terrance
So let's say... what if one of the wolves in the background of the Wolfpack were in love with Brian?
This thought led me to the creation of Terrance (Howl). (Admittedly, I'm not sure how much he counts as an OC, since he's based on an actual existing character? Kinda? Whatever).
Terrance (Howl):
Age: 22 (2nd youngest of the pack)
Height: 1,90m
Eye color: right eye green, left eye yellow (left eye covered by hair), in werewolf form both eyes glow green
Hair/fur color: light brown
As wolf: white underside on muzzle, neck and belly
Nickname: Terri/Terry
Likes:
Blueberries, frisbees, meat, hunting, running, flowers/plants, ikebana, children, balls, touch, relaxing, praise, outdoor activities, dog treats, Scott, wolf form, his brothers, yummy food, chips and crackers, letters and mailmen.
Dislikes:
Vegetables, guns, silver, loud banging noises, hunters, dog catchers
Incompatibility:
Chocolate, nicotine, caffeine, onions, garlic
Character:
Patient, Attentive, Good-natured, Optimistic, Friendly, Open-minded, Loyal
He is like one of those dogs that run at full speed towards the mailman only to be petted and fondled by them
Likes to sunbathe while lying in the grass
Is the calmest of his siblings
Usually lets himself be pulled along by the group dynamics of his brothers → but sometimes feels a bit guilty when they cause someone trouble
Fairly social and a team player
Significantly more observant than the rest of his brothers or his cousin - Scott
Spends most of his time in his wolf form
Good at observing others and guessing their moods
Slightly suspicious/cautious of adults → exception: his grandmother and Coach
Almost always smiles or grins, which can easily be misinterpreted in his wolf form and then seems more threatening than it was meant to be
Also likes to take time just for himself
Likes fun pastimes and is often out with his brothers
Works three afternoons a week at a flower store in town
Grades: Average (and thus much better than his brothers'), very good at sports, but not as good as Scott or his siblings
Half a year had passed since Brian had joined the football team. And since then he had followed the other with his eyes again and again. First out of curiosity, later out of an unsteady feeling that he had not been able to define exactly. Only with time had this nameless restlessness in his chest taken on a clear form. Today he knew the name of what he felt. Love. He had fallen in love. But too late. Terrance was not blind. Of course, he had caught what was happening right before his eyes. What the looks of Brian had to mean, which the zombie threw constantly to Scott. Well, he was out of luck. But who could blame a monster for falling for Scott? His little cousin was an adorable and friendly monster that was hard to find twice in this world. There was hardly anyone Scott didn't get along with or who didn't like him. And Terrance? Terrance was a member of the pack. The Wolfpack. Constantly - well, almost constantly - traveling with his siblings. The Wolfpack that so often caused trouble. Furthermore, he had barely exchanged a word with his secret crush. So... yes, what should he do? Maybe he would have decided to do nothing more if it hadn't been for Scott, of all people. As open and trusting as his cousin was, he was.... well, he was also rather dense when it came to love. And if he could help bring two monsters who were important to him closer together... he should do that, right? After all, you support monsters you love, didn't you? Terrance had decided to help Brian that day, and hey, at least he could spend some time with the other. That was something, wasn't it?
That's basically the idea I had when I was thinking about Terrance's origins. I thought, what if one of the background wolves of all people falls in love with Brian, but he's in love with Scott, and that's why Terry decides he wants to help them both?
If it were an event in the game, it would probably go something like this, that you trigger it as soon as you try to date Scott with Brian.
That would then lead to three events. I could imagine that the two response options would depend less on stats and more on the selection option itself.
So that for each event you could choose to spend more time with Terry or Scott after planning together how best to win over Scott's heart.
If you spend more time with Terry, then he will gradually tell you more about himself.
For example, that he sometimes has trouble keeping up with his siblings who have a huge urge to run around, while he also likes to just take a nap in the grass while the sun shines on his fur from time to time.
At the second event, he will tell you how much he loves his grandmother's blueberry pie, how much he likes mailmen, but unfortunately they never pat or stroke him, and how much he would like to receive a letter one day. He will also admit that he would love to visit a botanical garden someday if he could.
At the third event, Terrance will order you to the store in town where he works three times a week. It's a flower shop. And because he's a little too tall in his wolf form to move around in the front of the store, you'll have the opportunity to see him in his human form for the first time!
He'll apologize for calling you all the way out here.
This time you will be able to plan together the crucial day of how to finally invite Scott to the prom and confess your feelings to him in the process. You will practice together how to make a confession to Scott that the werewolf jock will understand without any doubt.
You can then choose whether to go back to Scott or talk to Terry about his work here at the store, where he tells you how much he enjoys it and that he would like to open his own business someday, but that he's not sure he'll be able to do it because most of his grades at school are mediocre ( which is still better than his siblings'). At the end of the conversation, Terry will gift you with a white gardenia bloom.
After completing the three events, you can now either choose to seek out Scott and make a confession to him as you did during practice. You have everything with you, the perfect gift, the perfect words and Scott will be completely blown away so you will have a wonderful evening and more. Congratulations!
Or you'll throw out all previous plans and not go to the prom with Scott. You'll go looking for Terry and the pack (with one of the background wolves missing) will get in your way and tell you that while they don't know why their little brother wants to hang out with you so much lately, they'll allow it as long as you just don't make him unhappy. The leader will tell you where to find Terry. When you reach Terry, he will be puzzled as to why you were looking for him and if there was trouble with Scott and worry that your plan may not have worked. Until you explain to him that spending time with him made you realize how much you like him and how nice you found it to talk and spend time with him. Terry will hardly believe his luck and as soon as you invite him to the prom will respond with an overjoyed yes!
#monster prom#monster prom oc?#monster prom wolfpack#The Wolfpack#my art#digital drawing#do not reupload#Gardenias stand for a secret love according to what I have looked up#i know he's to sweet for a Wolfpack member#i just like wholesome characters#he would be happy for Brian and Scott too#because Brian would become part of the family and that would be nice too#normally I don't ship my own figures with already existing ones#but I guess there is always an exception#feel free to give him lots of pets#he loves to be pet

Bitten: Final Part
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Female!Reader
Word Count: ~1.8k
Warnings: canon angst and violence
Author’s Note: I do not own anything from Supernatural. All credit goes to their respective owners. Any and all comments on these are appreciated.
The film cuts to Kate crying and packing up her belongings. Brian entered the house with a smile on his face. You can just tell he forced the professor to turn him whether the professor wanted to or not.
"Hey. What are you doing?"
"We're leaving in the morning."
"What? Why?"
"Those guys--look, they might find Michael, and--"
"No, Kate, you don't have to worry about that. You don't have to worry about anything. I took care of it."
"You took care of what?" Michael asked, walking into the room.
"Brian, what did you do?"
Brian held out his arm and showed them a bloody bandage on his arm. He peeled back the badge to show them that there was a bite there, and it healed right in front of their eyes.
"Oh, my God," Kate gasped.
"What are you? Insane?"
"You're welcome for saving your ass. Look, watch."
Brian walked to the main desk and played the recording of what happened in the professor's office. Watching this film now, you realize you missed Brian by minutes. Soon after he left, the professor got angry and was tearing his office apart to find the camera that Brian put in there.
The professor spotted the camera in the corner of the room and tried to take it down, but this is when you and the brothers came busting into the room. Sam held Joanna to keep her out of harm's way because this one was all on you.
You and Dean grabbed the professor and yanked him down to his desk. The professor is a lot stronger than you thought, so he easily knocked you and Dean back. He wolfed out and lunged at Dean, grabbing him by the collar. Your eyes and hands turned blue and you blasted him with three powerful shots of magic, slamming his body against the bookcase by the door.
Dean took out his gun and fired upon the teacher with silver bullets, killing him instantly. Your magic misted away from your hands but not from your eyes.
"I've never killed a pureblood before," Dean commented.
"What was he looking at?" You turned and looked at the wall with your blue eyes, cocking your head to the right. Sam passed Joanna off to you, and you calmed yourself enough for your eyes to go back to normal. "What the hell?"
Sam reached up and removed the camera. The film switched back to the kids, but two of them are not happy.
"See? Problem solved. They killed the pureblood, they're moving on, and we're in the clear, just like you said."
"I never said--"
"Kate, I, uh... I did this to protect you. I did what you couldn't," he barked at Michael.
"They saw the camera, Brian. You don't think they'll trace that back to you? What the hell's wrong with you?"
"Nothing's wrong with me. You told me that. I just finally figured out what I want, and now I'm going after it. You thought I was hiding behind a camera? I was hiding behind you. I am done living in your shadow. I've always lived in your shadow. But now we're equals. Anything you can do, right?"
"What? You think this is a game? Do you have any idea what you've done to yourself?"
"Well, you wouldn't bite me, so I had to--"
"You asked him to?" Kate gasped, turning to her boyfriend. "He asked you to bite him?"
"I didn't, okay? I didn't want to hurt you, Brian. I would never hurt you. This thing inside of me--you don't want this."
"Oh, well, it's too late for that now."
"I remember attacking Scott. I remember ripping his beating heart out of his chest. I remember the look in his dead eyes when I bit into that heart, Brian. Above all, I remember how sweet, how delicious it tasted, and ever since I've tasted it, I've felt more powerful and more out of control."
Brian grabbed Kate and held her to his chest, but you can only see Michael's reaction since the film switched to Brian's POV.
"More weak. You don't need someone like Michael. You need someone that can take care of you."
"I can take care of myself."
"Let her go."
"Or what? You gonna cry some more?"
Michael wolfed out and lunged for Brian, shoving Kate to the side. They started an altercation of who can be the best werewolf. They were throwing each other across the room, punching and kicking each other. Kate was in the background screaming and crying, yelling at them to stop fighting.
Michael and Brian crashed into each other, sending one another flying into the bedroom through the closed door. They fought each other to the kitchen area where Michael knocked Brian down to the ground. The blonde man kneeled over Brian, but the dark-haired man grabbed his friend and shoved him to the side, revealing that in the altercation, he had stabbed Michael in the chest with the silver knife.
"Oh, baby. Oh, baby. Oh, please don't die. Please don't die. Please don't die," Kate begged, kneeling down next to him.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I love you, baby."
"I love you," too," Kate cried.
Michael went still, and you know that he is dead. Kate cried over his dead body, but she needed to be strong. She pulled out the knife from his body and crossed the room to where Brian is. She slashed at his arm with the knife, hurting him with the silver.
"Kate, listen to me," Brain caught her arm to stop her from slicing his skin again. "I love you. I love you. You'll understand. You just need to see what I see. After I bite you, you'll understand."
Kate cut his arm again and broke free of him, running to a room he isn't in. However, when she gets to the kitchen, he's standing there waiting for her with his wolf face on. She screamed and ran back, only to run into his arms. He picked her up as she thrashed and screamed, but he didn't stop there. He bit her shoulder, turning her.
The film cut to the bathroom. Much like Michael, she was filming herself in the cracked mirror from where Michael hit it. She is crying and staring at her wounded shoulder. It healed right in front of her eyes, and this was when she knew she was a werewolf.
"Kate?" Brian knocked on the bathroom door. "Let me in. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. We can fix this. We can... Just let me in, okay?"
Kate screamed and pushed the shower curtain aside, throwing things and breaking the sink in anger. Something clicked in her head, you can see it in her eyes. She stopped screaming, grabbed the camera, and smiled at her reflection.
"Brian? Brian, I'm coming out. I see it now. I understand."
She opened the door and Brian smiled when he saw her.
"I told you it would be alright."
"Yeah. It will be. Here."
She handed him the camera, but as soon as it was turned on her, she lunged at Brian with her werewolf face. She ripped into him, spraying his blood everywhere on the wall. The film cut to Kate placing a white sheet over Michael's body. It cuts again, and she was sitting at the desk now clean. The video cuts to her speaking into it, a message for you and the brothers.
"I didn't finish Brian's movie to justify what happened. To be totally honest, I'm not really even sure if I understand it at all. I just wanted you to know that--that Michael wasn't always a monster. None of us were. I'm leaving, and you'll never hear from me ever again. Look, I know that there's another way. I can eat animal hearts." A tear rolled down her face at her words. "I've never hurt anyone. Nobody human, anyway. I didn't choose this. Please... please give me a chance. Oh, and please don't let the blue demon come after me."
The video ends there, and you sigh sadly when you look back at Michael who is covered by the sheet. Dean and Sam get up to inspect the body on the ground.
"Okay, so, this is Michael, which means that that is Brian," Dean observes.
"They were just kids," you sigh.
"What, she's got about a half-day jump on us?"
"Mm-hmm," Dean mutters quietly.
"You okay?"
"Mm-hmm."
"Look, Kate is not a monster. She didn't ask for this to happen to her. She's a victim. She deserves a chance at a normal life. We shouldn't be the one to take it from her," you say.
"Yeah, let's give her a shot."
"Seriously?" Sam asks, shocked.
"Yeah."
"Look, if Kate pops back up, I mean, if she strays, then no questions asked. We do what we have to do and, um, we take her down," Sam says, unplugging the laptop and the hard drive so that no one else finds it.
"Hey, Sam?"
"Yeah?"
"Do I really say 'awesome' a lot?"
"No," Sam says too quickly and heads for the door.
"Sam is lying. You do," you whisper and wink at him.
When you take one step outside the house, the magical barrier mists away, revealing Brian's guts and blood over the walls. Dean chuckles and he puts the iPod back into the dock so that Michael and Kate's song is playing.
Case closed.

LTA: Sonic Voice Actors
A/N: This is a remake of an old post I made on deviantArt a while back. Otherwise, I’d like to revisit an old topic for nostalgia sake.
No need for an elaborate introduction, no need to re-open old wounds. I’ve been on a Sonic binge lately, and one thing led to another. I’m gonna focus on the game actors, so nothing from the cartoons or the movies, save for some examples from Sonic X because those feature characters from the Adventure era. Let’s get into it.
Sonic
Let’s be real, in the late-2000s, Ryan Drummond was like Jesus to a lot of people, you’d think this would make me hate the guy to get some contrarian cred, but I don’t. He not only manages to nail Sonic’s character, along with the attitude the character’s games once had, but he has more range than anyone gives him credit for, he was once Knuckles, and he was Metal Sonic, with otherwise different takes and dictions. I respect Ryan a hell of a lot as an actor and I will always recognize him as the OG Sonic, I just wish he had better fans.
But Jason Griffith was also great, he just needed time to really own the role, and time he got. I’m not saying this out of incredibly late sympathy, he actually got very good, but even then I like how he gave Sonic a somewhat friendlier and dorky portrayal, gave the character some extra dimensions, sure he’s cool, but deep down he’s far from perfect. Not to mention, like Ryan, Jason also voiced three different characters with much different dictions, and he did it well.
Roger Craig Smith seems like he’s gonna be Sonic for a long time and sure, he seems happy enough about it, I don’t know about you, but I’m Rogered out. He fits the role, certainly, but given he has been Sonic for over a decade, I need a break. Thank you Ben Schwartz. There is also the matter of Roger’s take basically fitting into the Sonic games taking a more lighthearted turn, and yeah I can see that.
What makes me really gravitate more toward Ryan and Jason is that they had to develop their takes overtime. Ryan was the first Sonic actor when the games turned to acted cutscenes, and he had more to his credit so he had more time to really develop it. Jason had to brave backlash and hate, and he made the role his own, and both had otherwise light resumes. Roger was already a known voice actor, so beyond getting into the role, it was obviously not gonna be long. He’s a good fit for Sonic, but I don’t feel like he earned it.
Tails
Never hire child voice actors. I’m not saying this because children don’t turn out the best performances, okay I am, but Tails had to go through three voice actors in his initial acting days, that’s bound to eat up time and resources. The Bringas brothers and William Corkery are the own levels of bad, from flat line reads to, well, William Corkery, but hey he trucked on and got to appear in an episode of Drake and Josh.
Amy Palant, on the one hand, good on SEGA for putting their foot down and hiring adult women to voice kid characters, on the other, it’s a bit rough, but I could see improvement. It’s a hell of a lot better than William Corkery and that’s good enough for me.
Kate Higgins is the clear winner for me, basically offering a more polished take on Palant’s performance, but for some reason she got replaced by Colleen O’Shaugnessey, but she also does a good job too. So the moral of this story is to not rely on expendable actors, lest your name is Brian Peck.
Knuckles
This may be controversial, or not, but I’m gonna try to explain the best I can.
Knuckles also had three different actors during the Adventure era. He was voiced by Michael McGaharn in Sonic Adventure, then he left for some reason and was replaced by Ryan Drummond, then for some reason Scott Drier handled the rest from there.
People are otherwise in between on McGaharn, but I think he actually did the role well. I get back then Knuckles was a much different character, more chill or whatever, and McGaharn manages to capture that, and I can give him the benefit of the doubt of this being his first time voicing the character, and this being the first time we had voice acted characters in a Sonic game, well, a Sonic game officially published by SEGA. I feel like he can take the character anywhere, he has more range than people give him credit for. For instance, he played Ken in Detective Barbie: Mystery of the Carnival Caper, and played Ace Ventura in a PlayStation game, and each make use of unique vocals. I have faith he could go above and beyond.
Ryan Drummond didn’t do too bad of a job either, I’m able to distinguish his Knuckles voice from Sonic’s, and he can easily convey different emotions and tones. It’s too bad we only got to see his and McGaharn’s takes on one game, and for Ryan it’s an expenable party game, which may be a guilty pleasure like Shadow the Hedgehog for me.
...and then Scott Drier came in, and here’s the controversy.
Even to this day, people herald Scott Drier as the best Knuckles, or are at least vocal and... I don’t see it. I get the idea his voice suits the character, but, let me be blunt. He’s not a good voice actor, hell he has hardly voice acted in anything else beyond some Winnie the Pooh stuff. He comes off as grating to me, and he gives me no confidence he can go above and beyond the ultra chill diction. There’re scenes where it feels like he can easily punch up his lines, but he doesn’t. I’m not against Knuckles being chill, I just feel like Scott didn’t do the best job at it, perhaps he was screwed over by jumping into the role when the Adventure era was about to come to a close, but another actor had a similar fate, but when we get there.
Dan Green, yes, he makes Knuckles angry and shit, but it’s handled well, Dan Green is a more experienced voice actor, and if you told him to handle things calmly, I’m sure he could do it. Like Jason Griffith as Sonic, Dan had to adjust to the role, and admittedly, doing the Yu Gi Oh voice put him in a low ebb, but he made it his own by the end. You may not like the character he put on, but I don’t care, I feel like even if it’s a disservice to what Knuckles was, he gave a livelier take, put in more emotion, and this was before the character truly fell off.
Travis Willingham basically carried on Knuckles’ take from the 4Kids era, and he honored the lobotomy the character would take during the mid-2010s, but is it his fault? No, and he does a good job too.
So yes, I get why people like Scott, but god damn he was not destined to be a voice actor. Maybe if he was around during Sonic Adventure, he would have more time to develop the role, but as is, he doesn’t inspire me with confidence. Also, another interesting fact, he appeared in an episode of iCarly, iCook, among other roles in shows shot in San Diego. If Scott had proven himself elsewhere, could you let me know?
I think Dan is underrated, and he’s my pick for this.
Amy Rose
Jennifer Doulliard started out good, I’ll admit. I could imagine her voice fitting the character very well, she has spunk and she has heart. But I feel like over time she got worse. It really came crashing down in Sonic Heroes where she came off as a grating teenager, and her interest in Sonic became 90% of her character throughout the game. Talk about going backwards.
Lisa Ortiz wins. Short answer. Long answer, even if she uses a common voice for other characters she played on 4Kids dubs, admittedly it’s a perfect fit for Amy, going back to the balance Doulliard once had, and for whatever shit people throw at Sonic 06, I think she did okay in that game. She can be annoying, she can be great, that’s just what Amy Rose is all about.
Cindy Robinson has actually improved immensely as Amy, given her rough start back in her first year as the character. She can adapt to any situation emotionally, and once again, balance. Lisa was a great Amy Rose back in the day, but Cindy Robinson earned her reevaluation, and that’s worth some respect.
Cream the Rabbit
Sarah Wulfeck... suuuuuuuuuucks... I’m sorry. She only had one stint at Cream, in terms of games that allow for longer dialog, but she was really not ready for this, at all. She is annoying, and not particularly natural. For whatever shit I gave William Corkery, he was a kid at the time, Sarah Wulfeck is a grown woman. She doesn’t sell the character at all, and because of how late she got into it, it was gonna take a hell of a lot more for her to really adjust to the role. I mean, when it comes to brief lines, she does well there, so does Scott Drier, but the full dialog... you know what, I’m coming off as an asshole, let’s just move on.
Rebecca Honig may be considered annoying to some, but to me she’s not as annoying as Sarah. Simply put, her voice suits the character more, even if they overdo it on the cutesyness at times, but that’s what 4Kids were about, literalism.
But Rebecca walked so Michelle Ruff could run, akin to Kate Higgins as Tails, Michelle gives a refined spin on Rebecca’s take, she wins basically.
Big the Cat
No opinion on Kyle Herbert simply because I didn’t hear that much of his take.
This is gonna be quick, both Jon St. John and Oliver Wyman play into the stupid nature of the character, but I guess he wasn’t intended to be that stupid in Sonic Adventure. On the other hand, Oliver provides more personality and life to the character.
Jon’s Duke Nukem, he doesn’t need the win.
Shadow the Hedgehog
Remember how I said Scott Drier played Knuckles only twice when it came to the games? David Humphrey was dealt the same deck of cards, only this time it was a debut. Does this mean David’s take sucks? Hell no. It was rough in Sonic Adventure 2, but by Sonic Heroes he did it great, which is why I’m more disappointed in Scott.
That isn’t to say Jason Griffith doesn’t do a good job as well. Even when Jason was reviled for his take on Sonic, there were some people who really liked his take on the character, and hey, if people can accept a darker shadow, why can’t they accept an angry Knuckles, amirite? At worst this marks a backtrack on Shadow’s character development, but at best, it’s a good performance.
Kirk Thornton is to me what Jason Griffith was to people who probably hated his take on Shadow, or just see him as emo. That is all.
I’d call it a tie between Humphrey and Griffith.
Rouge the Bat
There is a lot to unpack with one of her actors, but let’s keep this in proper order.
Lani Minella is a voice director who already had a fair collection of video game credits to her name, for instance, she was Bubsy Bobcat, at one point. Lani also only had two opportunities to voice Rouge, and she did it very well, beyond the obvious adjustment she had to do in the first game. So good on her.
So Caren Manuel. How the hell can I justify this? Well, let me see if I can explain. 4Kids, or at the very least the union they hire tend to hold a literal mindset when it comes to dubbing, that is, to act out everything that occurs on screen in order to make it look natural. This would mean characters making noises when a character’s mouth is open for example.
This would also apply to certain characters, have a scrawny stache? Be French. Have a big hat? Be southern. 4Kids did what they did because to them, it made sense, and this is not referring to or justifying any censorship they have done.
Now what the hell am I telling you this for? Think of it like this, you work at 4Kids, you’re greeted by this bat character with big tits and a penchant for theft, and given that you’re conditioned to find voices that suit the character, what would you do?
The best way I can sum up Caren Manuel is that she did what was asked of her. They wanted her to do a deep seductive voice to a character that looks like a grown adult, the only problem is that this led to inconsistency. It’s honestly kinda sad, because Caren is capable of a wider range of voices, just look at her work on Winx Club. The performance, in a bubble, if this was the only voice Rouge would’ve had, it probably would’ve been received better. I can’t hate her, honestly I feel bad for her, she was forced into a role that didn’t do the character justice.
So... where do I stand with Karen Strassman? Well, her depiction marks a return to form for the character, so that’s well and good. It’s all her here.
E-123 Omega
I’m gonna switch things up and go a bit out of order. Three out of the four Omega actors I know about offer similar performances, so here’s the one.
Maddie Blaustein, take what I said about literalism and apply it here. It’s not good, and it’s kinda worse when you take into account we heard her in Sonic 06. That’s as much as I’m gonna say because, let’s not forget, Maddie passed away in 2008. Rest in peace.
That leaves Jon St. John, Jeff Kramer and Vic Mignogna, all three are quite consistent, so let’s do a little processing of elimination. Like Kyle Herbert’s Big the Cat, I never heard enough of Vic’s Omega, and especially after what happened to Vic, I doubt I’d hear him attempt the character any more. Jon and Jeff are almost exactly the same, but again, Jon is Duke Nukem, so I’ll give it to Jeff. For some more unneeded trivia, did you know that along with appearing in other SEGA games like NiGHTS, he was also Superman in that one game Rerez talked about.
Vector
I knocked Marc Biagi long ago, but I grew to like his take on Vector. I thought it was one note, but he offers a great balance between goofiness and gruffness, and how many times am I going to say great balance? While this wasn’t his first Sonic game, it was his first time playing Vector, and last time he played Gerald Robotnik, so he got range. Whoever I go with, I respect Marc greatly for demonstrating a good range.
Carter Cathcart, is an asshole. Too harsh? Let me try again. Carter Cathcart is an asshole who offered a lackluster performance as Vector. It feels like a more cartoony version of Biagi’s take, and given that it was heard the most prominently in Shadow the Hedgehog, I mean it added to the game’s unintentional hilarity. But why is he an asshole? Well you remember when 4Kids lost the dubbing rights of Pokemon to their brand owners? He joined the latter and basically fucked with people who complained about the lackluster performances in the initial new dub.
Keith Silverstein is basically a marriage between Carter’s goofy take and Marc’s more restrained one, it works, so good on him. He doesn’t strike me as the head of a struggling detective agency, but to be fair all Vector was in Sonic Generations, and Sonic Free Riders, was a cheerleader or just there.
Espio
I think they just wanted Bill Corkery so they could get free actors. He has some roles in other video games, persisting to this day, and I think that helped him bring out a decent performance.
Okay to sum up, Corkery, David Willis and Troy Baker have different approaches to that of a ninja character, and they all bring something unique to the table, Corkery goes for a contemporary performance, Willis’ is more restrained, while Baker is pretty distinct, and no I never heard much from Matthew Mercer in Sonic Forces.
I’m calling it a three way tie.
Charmy
I’m harsh on Tails’ kid actors, because Emily Corkey as Charmy outperforms them easily, and yet she did little to nothing else after this, and I can say the same for Colleen O’Shaugnessey who continues this.
Amy Birnbaum, she did good, but it’s clear her Max (Pokemon) voice bleeds in every now and again. Now yes, while Lisa Ortiz’s voice isn’t distinct, it suits the character and became its own. Perhaps Birnbaum’s Max was just too familiar to be associated with any other voice? I’d give it to Emily Corkery.
Since this ran short, here’s some trivia. Amy Birnbaum played the skeleton in the PC Game I Spy Spooky Mansion.
Silver
Perhaps unique in the 4Kids actor, as his voice in this period, Pete Capella, was not part of 4Kids. But otherwise I have nothing to say. Pete was dealt a bad hand debuting in the dead horse that is Sonic 06, but he got to play the character more in fan projects. Quinton Flynn is basically a perfect copy, so that’s good.
Blaze
I’m calling it a draw, both Bella Hudson and Lisa Bailey did the character justice.
Tikal
Elara Distler had a good voice but a not so good performance. Rebecca Honig had a good performance but the voice isn’t that good. I mean I can forgive a lackluster performance in Sonic Adventure (again, first Sonic game that used proper voice acting), but I’m a stickler for good performances.
Draw, call it a draw.
E-102 Gamma
Steve Broadie passed away in 2001, rest in peace. Basically he offered a prototypical Omega voice and did it well. But, did you know he, along with Marc Biagi, Elara Distler and the Bringas brothers all appeared in Frogger: The Great Quest?
Andrew Rannells returns to demonstrate 4Kids literalism, but he does a better robot voice than Maddie Blaustein, may she rest in peace. I find it a weird casting choice, but Andrew is capable of better, he was in the Book of Mormon one time.
Eggman
And obviously, Deem Bristow died in 2003. Which is a shame, because he was a great actor, giving Eggman a wide array of emotions, from a powerful evil disposition, to some over the top craziness that just adds layers upon layers of personality.
But there’s no denying Mike Pollock was also great. Sure his voice was heard with other characters, but he really made Eggman his own. Why else would SEGA be willing to keep him on to play Eggman in the games, and beyond?
So who is the Eggman in my opinion? Both of them, both are the Eggman, with the master plan, they are the Eggman.
And I never bothered with the Sonic Riders series so I have no opinion on the Babylon Rogues actors, I never heard much of their takes. Later.

Ocean Eyes - Part 13
A/N - OMG finally an update!!! I'm so sorry it has taken me so long but writers block is a bitch! Thank you all for sticking with me and being so patient 💕💕💕 Please like/comment/reblog.
"CHRIS EVANS HAS A SECRET FAMILY!"
Shit, shit. Shit! Oh my fuck this can't be happening!! I thought to myself as i clicked on the link Hannah had sent me, the page loaded showing photo's of Chris and I kissing, photo's of Chris and Mason...... my heart was racing and i could feel the panic setting in.
"Fucking Brian!" I mumbled, this was taken the day i saw his car outfront! I got up and made my way to Chris' office, i needed to let him know about this ASAP incase he was suddenly blind sided with a question while doing his interview.
As soon as i appeared in the doorway Chris looked up and gave me a little smile that soon fell when he saw the tears in my eyes.
"Im so sorry but can you just excuse me for two seconds..... i'll be right back" Chris said leaving Scott talking to Jimmy Fallon.
"Whats wrong?....." he asked quietly pulling the door closed behind him.
"Im so sorry Chris....." i shook my head.
"Why? Whats happened?...."
I passed him my phone showing him the headline and photo's "Everyone knows, I'm so sorry! This is all my fault...." i started to cry, this isn't how i wanted everyone to find out... we weren't ready for everyone to know yet!!
"Hey stop! This isn't your fault sweetheart!" Chris wrapped his arms around me "come on don't cry, i hate it when you cry".
"Im so mad Chris!...they have no right posting photo's of Mason!"
"Let me just go finish up this interview, i'll be two minutes" he kissed me before rushing back to finish up with Jimmy.
After Chris had finished up his interview he was calling his publicist Megan, he already had missed calls from her so she had obviously heard what was going on. An hour later she was sat on the sofa across from us listening to the whole story.
"I want those photo's of my son taken down now! They can't post photo's of my 6 year old for everyone to see!" Chris was yelling as he paced the room.
"I've already put in a call and told them to take it down, but you know its gonna be out there now....you can't hide from this Chris"
"I know but.... fuck! We didn't want Mason in the public eye..... he's just a kid!"
"I get it, they should have at least blurred his face in the shots, most tabloids do nowadays unless the parents give consent but this particular tabloid that published the story, they're not one of the big names so they're more interested in their 5 minutes of fame with this exclusive"
"Brian did this. He did it to hurt me, its not even about the money! He could've sold the story to one of the big tabloids and got a payout..." i shook my head "the guy is crazy! I wasn't even dating him!"
"We're gonna try and do something about him too, leave it with me" Megan gave me a small smile while writing something in her notebook "So, you should probably post something on your socials.... clear up the gossip. Usually id say don't react to this but we need to do some damage control because right now, i guarantee all people are thinking is either you've been an absentee father with no interest in your son for the past six years" she said looking to Chris "or you'll be public enemy number one for keeping Chris's son from him" she looked over to me and i lowered my head in shame, i had done that..... i had my reasons but i did it all the same.
"So what do we say?" I asked quietly as Chris came and sat beside me taking my hand.
"We say that even though the two of you haven't been together romantically up until now, you have been raising your son together but chose to keep him out of the public eye"
"I'll put something together for you to look over, make sure you think its okay" Chris told her.
"I know this isn't great but we can handle this"
"Thank you Megan".
Over the next couple of days things gradually calmed down, Chris had posted a simple statement which i was told to post too even though my accounts were private to friends only, he didn't go into much detail but confirmed that we do have a son together and asked for our privacy to be respected.
His fans had actually been amazing and so supportive, of course there were a few saying some not so nice things about me and Mason but we knew that would happen. The tabloid stories quickly disappeared regarding Mason when other celebrities started posting, calling the tabloids out for not respecting our privacy after we had made it clear we didn't want our son in the spotlight.
But i still had this constant pit in my stomach, a feeling that things would still get worse before they went back to normal.
I was currently laid on the bed next to a basket of laundry that needed folding and putting away, I had retreated upstairs with the excuse of doing laundry while Chris, Scott and Mason were out back playing some game. The truth was i just needed some alone time, i was tired of putting on a brave and happy face, pretending like everything was fine. My hands massaged my temples trying to shift the dull headache that seemed like a constant thing lately.
"Hey, you okay?" The sound of Chris's voice from the door way made me crack open an eye to look at him.
"Yeah, headache is all"
"You've been up here a while, i got worried"
"I was doing laundry i told you....."
"You mean the laundry still sitting next to you?" He teased with a raised eyebrow.
"Yep, i started then i got a headache. I just need a few minutes" i said quietly closing my eyes again.
"Sweetheart you know you can talk to me, you don't have to act like everything is fine....."
"Yes i do, if i don't I'm gonna loose it and i can't do that with Mason around".
I felt the bottom of the bed dip and opened my eyes to see Chris crawling up the bed towards me, he moved my legs so his upper body was resting between them as he pressed kisses to my T-shirt covered stomach.
"What are you doing?" I shook my head and chuckled at the playful look he had on his face.
"Trying to cheer you up, maybe help you forget for a while" he smirked pushing my T-shirt up more so he could kiss my bare skin this time.
"Is now really the time for that? Mason is awake downstairs...."
"Its the perfect time for that, Scott will keep Mason busy"
"You dont know that....."
Chris quickly pulled his phone from his pocket and tapped quickly on the screen before tossing it aside.
"Done, no distractions" he laughed.
"Oh god please don't tell me you told Scott why?"
"Of course not but he's not stupid"
"This is a bad idea..... we said slow...."
"This is slow, i just wanna make you feel better. Plus you know orgasm's are supposed to help with headaches" he shrugged with that cocky grin.
"Oh really? Is that right?"
"100%" he nodded making us both laugh, he reached for my shorts and starting to pull the them down my legs...
"Wait!" I said suddenly sitting up to look at him making him groan as he looked back at me from between my legs.
"What?"
"Lock the door would ya?" I giggled throwing myself back down on the bed shaking my head as he leapt from the bed and flipped the lock.
"Now where were we?" He said before crawling back into position.....this was a bad idea.

“How the hell was I supposed to know? You never talk to me to let me know how you feel!” Peter yells at you from one side of the room while you pace angrily in front of the window. His words stop you and you whirl around to face him, pointing in his direction.
“You’re never around for me to tell you how I feel!” Your anger is boiling up and you fear that it’ll end up boiling over and ruining everything the two of you have built together.
Let’s start closer to the beginning. You and Peter rarely ever fought, your friends were all shocked about it because when you’re with somebody for over a year there’s almost always going to be fights. But not you and Peter, just small little tiffs here and there that were resolved within ten to twenty minutes. Nothing like the fight you were having now though, the fight that you feared was going to break the bond between the two of you.
You’ve always been very well put together, always seeming happy and like nothing bothered you. That’s how you were raised though, your dad raised you like a boy with all the toxic masculinity ideals with it. You weren’t allowed to show emotion around him without getting made fun of. It was hard growing up like that due to how empathetic you are but you grew into it and mastered hiding how upset you were and whatever tears that came with it. You never blamed him, he was a single dad who had no idea how to raise a girl. When your mutation appeared you started to get a little more comfortable in your own skin and started to dress more in cute flowy dresses rather than sweatpants and baggy shirts like you always did. You could tell that your dad started to become uncomfortable around you in a way that one does when they aren’t sure how to act so you had found Xaviers school yourself and told him about it. And you’ve opened up a bit more since coming and making such great friends, you’ve even gotten comfortable crying around a few of them. And since starting to date Peter you’ve shown so many more emotions in public and even got completely comfortable with PDA in fact you crave physical contact now.
But when Peter started to just not be around for long periods of time you started to fall back into old habits. When he was off on missions for a while you knew that it wasn’t his fault but when Kurt and the others got back one time and Peter was nowhere to be found the doubts started to crawl into your brian like parasites. He had claimed when you saw him late that he was out on a run but he was gone far too long for it to just be a run you thought. You started to think that he was getting bored of you like boyfriends in the past had and you went straight to Kurt and Jubilee with your troubles, they were the first ones you really opened up to and your best friends after all. They were quick to bring you into hugs and tell you that you didn’t have anything to worry about with Peter. It got to the point that you only really hung out with them in fear that you would break down in front of the others. Peter would constantly be missing for most of the day or would spend the whole day in his room playing games and you stopped going in to see him there, feeling like you’re starting to bother him.
You start to spend all your time with Jubilee and Kurt even when Peter is out of his room and hanging out with Scott and Jean. And boy does he notice, he’s constantly watching you laugh with them and leaning into Kurt the way that you should be leaning into him. Peter wasn’t ever really the jealous type with you, knowing that you just saw Kurt as a brother. But now with how little the two of you have seen each other he’s not sure anymore so everytime he sees the two of you around the green eyed monster's claws dig deeper into him. He gets jealous even as he sees you hug Jubilee in the most friendly way possible. That’s really the reason he’s constantly gone or cooped up, not that you know that yet though. It’s not until you start to hold back tears in front of Jubilee when telling her that Peter all but ran away from you that she decides that enough is enough.
“Why the fuck did Jubilee just attack me in the hall going on about how I need to fix things?” Peter had burst into your room aggravated to find you curled up in a chair just staring off into space. He broke you out of your trance and you looked at him confused on why Jubes would do that. “Why do I need to fix anything? You’re the one who’s always out hanging out with them!”
“I’m the issue?” You were incredulous as you stood up starting to get angry and he slammed the door shut.
“Yeah, all you’ve been doing is hanging out with Jubes and Kurt.” You didn’t like the way that he had spit out Kurt's name like it was a disease and it only fueled your anger more.
“They’re my friends! I'm allowed to hang out with them Peter.” Your voice had started to get higher in volume to match his.
“Not when that’s all you do! Everytime I see you you’re with them, Jean and Scott have barely seen you too. It’s like you’re avoiding us. So what the fuck is wrong with you?”
“Oh please as if you haven’t been missing for chunks of the day. You’ve been disappearing and seemingly avoiding me much longer than I have.” You chuckled a bit and started to pace. “Since you started that all I’ve been is lonely and depressed, feeling like you’re losing interest in me for whatever reason. So I’m oh so sorry that I went to confide in my best friends when I started to worry that you were going to end things!”
“How the hell was I supposed to know? You never talk to me to let me know how you feel!” Peter yelled at you from across the room his anger and jealousy slowly fading as he processes what you just said. You stopped your pacing at his words and whirled around to face him and point in his direction.
“You’re never around for me to tell you how I feel!” Your anger was boiling up and you feared that it’ll end up boiling over and ruining everything the two of you have built together. In reality it’s now less anger and more worry that’s bubbling inside of you. The tears want to well up in your eyes but you refuse to let them show.
“Baby.” Peter’s voice is soft now and he notices the tears wanting to escape. You turn away from him when you see his face fall.
“Just get out of here Peter.” You’re desperate to be left alone to let the tears fall. He hears the desperation in your voice and figures that if he gave you time to cool off you’d be willing to talk to him. So he murmurs out an ‘okay’ before turning to leave the room just to find the door covered in vines preventing him from leaving. It’s obvious that some part of you wants him to stay so Peter makes a split second decision. In an instant he’s right in front of you. “Peter, what-” You get cut off when he pulls you into a bone crushing hug and places his chin on the top of your head while rubbing circles into your back in a soothing why.
“I’m sorry baby. I’ve just had a lot of energy lately and wanted to kill it all before coming to see you so I wouldn’t get all antsy while we did anything. It just always took longer than I thought it would.” You can’t stop the tears from coming and you quietly cry into his shoulder. He places a kiss on the top of your head before continuing. “And then when I saw you acting all cuddly with Kurt, I just couldn’t stand being around the two of you. Part of me felt like if I was around you for too long you’d decide you just liked Kurt better and break up with me.” His words make you chuckle a bit as you step back just enough to look at him.
“I was only hanging out with them so much because they’re the ones I act soft with. I thought if I was around you for too long You’d take your chance to break up with me because I was so convinced that you were tired of me.” Peters hands cup your face, his thumbs brushing the remaining tears from your face.
“It seems like we need to work on our communication skills then huh?”
”Yeah, can’t have our faulty communication ruining us.” The two of you laugh together at how ridiculous the situation seems now.
“Wanna go play video games?”
“Yeah, let’s go.”

Who said, “I love you,” first? Scott.
What’s their favorite thing about each other? Scott’s affection and loyalty for Brian. Brian’s levelheadedness for Scott.
Do they have any cute pet names for each other? Just affectionately calling each other, “Bro.” How bromantic~!
Do they publicly display their affection? Yes.
Who were the first people to know of their relationship? Vicky and Polly.
Do their families support their relationship? Yes. The Wolfpack is a bit iffy on Scott having a boyfriend, though.
Do they have secret birthmarks/tattoos their peers don’t know about? Scott has none, but Brian has a birthmark on the bottom of his foot, shaped like a squashed bug.
How often do they argue? Not at all.
What do they do that the other person doesn’t like? Brian does wish Scott could be a little more easygoing, and Scott wants Brian to be more adventurous.
What do they do that make each other’s hearts melt? Brian can’t help but smile when he sees Scott’s tail thumping as he wags it, and anything Brian does makes Scott do that anyway.
If they could go anywhere in the world, where would they go? Neither would mind a cross-country road trip seeing the sights.
Do they think about having kids? Nope. Scott’s pretty career focused and Brian’s not interested in being a dad. He’s more happy with supporting Scott’s dream.
Any advice they’d offer to other couples? Take your time to chill. Too much excitement results in burnout and a messy room.
Describe their relationship in one word: Relaxed

Queen + Paul Rodgers live at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, UK - May 6, 2005
Photos supplied by: Tazman, markyboyt
Right at the end of the show the entire band tried numerous times to throw and catch a drumstick but they all failed - Paul came closest. Roger also chuckled when the condoms were thrown on stage (like in Manchester). During the concert Brian said that he remembered playing at the Bingley Hall many years ago and that that inspired him to go home and write WWRY - which received a huge amount of applause.
Fan Stories
“Been a fan since 91, and never thought I'd be seeing Queen in any form live. Funny thing is, only a couple of months prior to the UK Hall Of Fame thing which lead to the new tour, I got into Bad Company, Free and generally Paul Rodgers... and I thought: why haven't they (Bri & Rog) teamed up with this guy? Well, the tour became a reality and I knew I was gonna see them, no matter what and where. Being from Norway I figured I'd go to England and catch at least one gig. I ended up doing Birmingham and Sheffield. I got my Cardiff ticket the day they went on sale but I didn't manage to get a Birmingham ticket, as they sold out quicker I believe... but I found a guy who was selling a ticket at face value so I was extremely happy with that. Me and my mate travelled to Birmingham and got to the venue, where we even met Jeff Scott Soto. A great feeling when Paul walked on stage and sang Reachin' Out and when Brian came on, I was happy to be alive. TYMD sounded amazing, as did the following tracks. The middle bit was great too, even though I was hoping to hear more from Paul but it was cool to hear Roger do the bridge in Hammer! Another treat was the first perfomance of Bites The Dust! Back for the last part of the concert, Paul did a great job and the band was tight as hell! A really cool version of under pressure with both Brian & Rog doing the vocals... After the end of the gig I couldn't really believe what I'd just seen, but there you go, 14 yrs of waiting can do that to you, not to mention a superb gig, better than I hoped it would be!!! Next day was Cardiff - which I think was BETTER” - Eirik
“What a brilliant show at Birmingham this year the band was in really top form and It is really cool to see Queen back on tour and with someone as good as Paul Rodgers but it is really a shame that he was suffering with throat problems so Brian and Roger had to sing for most of it. What a brilliant set list (even better with the debut of Another One Bites The Dust) but it was a shame that they didn't do One Vision (one of my favourite Queen songs) but what a fantastic night. I can't wait for the DVD and to see them again at Hyde Park (if the bank balance recovers).” - James Starbuck

A Loud Coming Out
Monster Prom/Camp
Zoe x Reader
Zoe is tired of being deadnamed, thus you two plan the biggest coming out.
Words: 1.5k
TW Transphobia, Light Mentions of Transphobia, Reader Insert, Fluffy Ending
by Kalypso (@ypso-cryptic on Tumblr)
You were chilling with Zoe by the lake, reading her fanfiction. It was conveniently in a tablet, since last time she wrote at the lake on paper Calculester began drowning and ruined the ink. How dramatic, Cal. You were just getting to the good part, where Damien professes his undying love for Liam as Aaravi grabs her wooden stake. Camp Director Miss Weaving, however, was not fond of this.
“Is that a phone?” Have we not talked about this before,” Miss Weaving says Zoe’s dead name, as a piercing scream from the Camp Dome rolls over like usual. Miss Weaving easily snatches the tablet from the tentacle holding it.
Rolling her eyes, Zoe says “One, it’s not a phone, it’s my writing tablet. Two, my name is NOT-” Scott begins to howl, having just “pranked” Dahlia into playing tag with him, although she would do that either way.
Miss Weaving is obviously not happy about Zoe talking back to her. Before she explodes, you open your mouth and spew out the same nonsense as always.
“But Miss Weaving! She’s an eldritch deity, she can easily resist the obsession of technology. She’s simply drawing it away from others, being selfless! Is it not good to be selfless?”
The camp director seems to pause, actually believing your bullshit. “Very well then, I trust you not to abuse your powers as an eldritch deity.” Returning the tablet, she goes to yell at Calculester for bringing a screen to a lake.
Zoe just stares at you in absolute shock. “Wow, you actually did that? Pretty good characterization for my next Camp Spooky fanfic; Y/N being an anti-hero. Of course, the anti-hero often dies in the end but…” She seems to brush over that last part, her mind already wandering to what direction that fanfic is going in.
It doesn’t kick into your mind just how much hearing her dead name hurt, though, at least until later at the logs. She isn’t there. You decide to check the Manor, Zoe’s favorite place for writing angst. Killer Jerry quite liked Zoe’s way with words- and the thrill of him killing others fuelled her words quite well. However, instead of her usual fic writing, Jerry is comforting her. Upon seeing someone else, you, enter, he pulls out his knife defensively.
“Did you make this angel cry?” He points an accusing finger- or, knife, before Zoe signals it wasn’t you. “Sorry, just hurts to see my favorite author hurt.”
“It’s okay Jerry, I’m sure Y/N can help me with my problem.”
With that, Jerry goes back to terrorizing Brian before realizing he’s already dead. Zoe cries in her little sadness ball that you’ve seen before, so you know immediately to pull out some Garfield-flavored snacks. She happily takes some, muttering while scarfing them down; “misff weephmmmm izz a VITH.” A regular translator of her muffled words, you decipher this as “Miss Weaving is a DICK.” She corrects you, saying “BITCH” clear as day. You pat her back, as another brilliant idea comes to mind.
“She hates loud things, right?”
Zoe nods, gripping the orange cookies in her hand. “Yeah.”
“...And she hates people accepting themselves and having fun, right?” Zoe nods again, this time crushing the cookies. “YEAH.”
“And WE love to spite her, and spite in general, right?”
Zoe gets up, excited all of a sudden. “Is this another Y/N fanfic arc?”
“No, it’s a ZOE fanfic arc.”
“I’m listening…”
You two devise a plan: staging the loudest coming out possible at Camp Spooky. It includes not only Milo getting some reaping gigs (of non-major characters, for author ease), but something to tick off Miss Weaving: surprises. Little does Zoe know you have a surprise for her too. Hopefully it doesn’t tick off the purple-skinned girl.
While plotting your surprise though, Zoe’s plans for her coming out seem to get in your way, and it’d be a dick move to ruin her coming out for her. So, you find ways around it.
First, Zoe wanted you to dress up as her in an interpretive play on how she feels stuck in her body. It’d be weird to be romantic with her afterwards in a costume that took 1 hour to put on, so you made it tear-away. It cost you money, however that is no longer a stat in Monster Camp.
Then, she completely scrapped that idea, and with that came up with a new one. She was going to set a romantic table for two with you, carefully plotted for Miss Weaving to overhear. Then, upon her realizing, a huge party would be thrown with a banner “ZOE IS TRANS YOU GOT IT!!”. Then, news paper headings would say “Local Camp Director Realizes Zoe is Trans”. However, you could no longer afford the news paper headings since you spent money making the tear-away costume. Also, her plotting a romantic table stole your thunder.
However, after many other ideas that got in your way, Zoe finally had one that aligned with yours, and you started recruiting.
You got Polly and Scott to lure Miss Weaving in the most irritating way to her possible, AKA screens on a trail. All of them are buzzing; courtesy of logging onto Milo’s Instagram.
However, on the day of the event, that’s the last thing to go right.
What was supposed to happen was Calculester jumps out of a bush and kidnaps the arachnid, but Miss Weaving had confiscated Calculester before he could continue the plan. Cal believed himself very distressed, thus sent out a signal which Miss Weaving promptly confiscated as well.
At least the prince of hell had a plan to get his robotic friend back. In the meantime, you and Zoe were waiting for your signal. Your job was simple: when Dahlia turns into a bucket with help from Joy, Milo starts a live stream with the hashtag #ZoePride. Their fans would get the message immediately, understanding Zoe is trans. The Dahlia bucket has no relevance to this, she just wants to be a bucket. The Milovers blow up social media, but what about Miss Weaving hating social media? That’s simple: Counselour Coach. Can’t keep a damn secret about the campers. Your job was just to be there for Zoe emotionally.
You and Zoe are trying a new snack flavor called “Naruto Yellow” when Aaravi comes in with the face she only wears when she has a chance at EXP.
“CALCULESTER HAS BEEN CONFISCATED!”, Aaravi yells a bit too excitedly.
Hex talks with a bit more distress, “He had our snacks!”
You turn to Zoe, and nod your head. “Don’t worry, this has happened before.”
Aaravi knew exactly what you meant, and squealed in delight. She obviously tried to hide it, though.
Thus, you went to the woods to find your robot friend. Miss Weaving was no stranger to taking him away, but you were no stranger to finding her honestly creepy house and taking him back. You and Aaravi almost had a protocol, and now Zoe gets to be in on it. The spindling walkway to it almost made Zoe trip, and she clung her tentacle to you. How romantic! Meanwhile, when Aaravi almost tripped, her sword tore your shirt a bit at the collar. She nearly fainted. Once she was back to full consciousness, Hex made fun of her as always.
Eventually, you make it there. You expected the same webbed walls, which you got. You also got Damien there, though. He was confiscated too for being a tool of destruction. Aaravi now has to fight the knights protecting the “confiscated demons” hall, and she brings you and Zoe along for the ride.
After some stabbing, brushing your hand dramatically against Zoe’s hand every now and then as you look each other in the eyes with determination to save your friends. With every knight you took down, Aaravi got a power-up until she eventually got them all. Damien is freed, and Calculester is eventually found with the other tech. He was having a pleasant conversation with Celi-phone.
When you come back, you find that Dahlia was a bucket, Milovers were cancelling Miss Weaving, and most importantly: she realized Zoe’s trans. No one had pulled the banner that ended up saying “be trans throw tentacles” hand-painted by Scott. You did that, only to see he mixed up the words to say “throw trans be tentacles”, which honestly kind of fit. You turn to Zoe, who seems to be on the verge of tears.
You try to comfort her immediately, “I’m sorry this didn’t go as planned-”
“What do you mean? Your dumb idea failed as always creating perfect fic material! You even made it extra dumb for me, I just know it.” Zoe beamed.
Ah yes, that was definitely planned. Your real plans, though, remain unaffected. After some apologies from Miss Weaving for seeming (being) transphobic, you bring Zoe to the woods again. There, you had a picnic basket full of scented pens and plushies of cats. The blanket was a bright yellow.
“Aww, Y/N, you shouldn’t have!”
“It’s your favorite things, I thought we could celebrate you coming out.”
Zoe pauses, then smirks. “One thing is missing, though.”
Shocked, embarrassed, and confused because you thought you knew everything about her like a cartoon, you ask, “What?”
She doesn’t say any words. She just kisses you.
“Oh, you meant me.”
“Of course I do. Now THIS is writing material.”

relevant tidbits from everything but hockey
kevin hayes: if he could spend the day with gritty they would go to the rocky steps, the liberty bell, the ice, golf, angelo’s to get a cheesesteak, things that best friends do. it means everything to have gritty at the games; he brings the noise, even with an empty building, he’s pumping up the boys. the new divisions will be a challenge but the team is up for it. it’s going to be “interesting” playing the same opponent after a few games, but it should be exciting.
scott laughton: av’s pet peeves: “he expects you to work hard, so when you’re not doing that or doing things right on the ice, he’ll let you know. he expects you to be a pro, no matter what you’re doing, be on time and come to work every day and he’ll be a pretty happy guy.” he bingewatched a lot of shows, including vanderpump rules and tiger king.
joel farabee: changed to 86 because it was his first number growing up; 49 was his camp number and he always wanted to switch back to 86. he’s happy about it.
shayne gostisbehere: he says “hello” in this very weird british accent lmao. he watched the office for the first time over the break. his favorite all time game as a flyer was one playoff game on his birthday in his rookie year against the caps, he scored and they won, and his whole family was there, and it was a good game. he was turning 23.
ivan provorov: the aspect of his game he’s worked on in the off season was a little bit of everything, there’s always room to improve in every aspect of your game. “this summer... or this offseason i guess.”
phil myers: his gold chain was given to him by his parents about ten years ago for his birthday and he’s worn it ever since. he was around 13 at the time and he rarely takes it off.
jake voracek: jake’s favorite czech meal is “quite a few of that.” segedinsky (?) like a czech thick sauce with saurkraut and dumplings and beef. it’s like ghoulash but it tastes completely different. not really good for you, but delicious.
michael raffl: he’s like... giggling as he comes in. his daily routine every day? he gets up in the morning, depends if his family is here or not, either an alarm or he has a kid that’s an alarm (oh boy i feel that). two minute cold shower, has a coffee, ready to start the day.
sam morin: position change and moving to winger? it’s new and he’s excited and just being here with his past injuries, he’s just happy to be here with the boys and not being in the rehab room anymore. he can’t wait to try his best and always have a smile on his face and work hard. oh sam. :( what a sweetie.
brian elliott: being inside the bubble and away from his family? had to dive in headfirst with the team and go as far as you possibly could. they did as well as they could, it was weird to be away from his family, but everyone understood what they were going after for their whole lives, so it was a little easier. but it was hard to be away from “the kiddos.”
oskar lindblom: his favorite moment from the nhl bubble? it was just being around the guys and get there late and hang out with the boys. to be able to play was a big moment, but just to feel like he was one of the guys again. it’s been a long year but that was the best moment so far. he can’t even talk about it: it’s too emotional.
travis konecny: how excited is he to have nolan patrick back at camp? it’s really exciting, we got a little test to see what he could do when he was a rookie, and having him back and seeing how much he’s grown and matured as a player and a guy. he and pat were close their first couple of years so it’s great to have him back. his best chirp he’s ever given? uh, he doesn’t know, probably the one everyone likes during the outdoor games. probably some of the better ones not caught on camera, can’t be repeated. that’s why he always says no to being mic’d up.
james van riemsdyk: “it’s going.” his daughter is having a tour of the city and getting more adjusted to their place now, as opposed to being on the lake house now she’s in a condo. they had to get blackout curtains for her and a noise machine because she was having trouble napping. svr’s history tour. av’s pet peeves include: you have to be on time, just acting and being professional, looking the part. be ready to roll. becoming a new dad has taught him a lot of patience and a little more selflessness; during the season he’s a little selfish with his routine, but the baby doesn’t care about any of that; so you have to be a good dad, make the time, and be present. it’s been good for him to learn perspective and become a better person. his dad is SO happy with his grandchild. he’s never been so smiley and giggly. they’ve only met the baby a few times because of covid and being in minnesota. they are pretty jacked up to see the baby (WHY ARE ALL THE FLYERS SAYING THIS lmao). his dad wanted to put the baby in skates.
robert hagg: favorite restaurant in philadelphia is double knot (i think ryanne said they like this one too) and osteria. they order too much food and there’s always leftover.
claude giroux: what is his motivation in leading this team? he’s been here for a while and he’s had some great teams, but the ultimate goal is to win the cup, and that is his goal and everyone else’s goal. they are all in this together and this is his motivation. his all-time favorite game as a flyer is game three of the cup finals when he scored the overtime winner. just the feeling of all the players jumping at him: a feeling you can’t even describe. what goes through his mind during a shootout? “i’d like to know myself.” you try to read off the goalie and have some moves in your head, but you try to clear your head and whatever is in front of you, you have to go with what the goalie is giving you.
sean couturier: his pregame ritual. he goes to the rink and has a morning skate or meeting, then pregame meal (he usually eats the same stuff around 12 or 12:30), two hour nap afterward from 1:30 to 3:30 then heads to the rink, has a snack (a bowl of cereal and coffee), gets into activation mode/warmup.
justin braun: his wawa order? he’s been there once in his life and got a meatball sub.
carter hart: the hardest save he made for the flyers? in his first year beating the canucks 2-1 he had to dive across and it hit his arm.
carsen twarynski: if he could only eat at once fast food restaurant the rest of his life? panchero’s? burrito and chicken cheese quesadilla. he has not worked on a new celly. that comes naturally if it happens.
alex lyon: one place in philly everyone needs to visit: the schuylkill trail is his favorite place in philly, he likes to be on the water, the energy, he really loves seeing dogs. he’s a city bike guy. sometimes he and his girlfriend get a deck of cards and sit and watch dogs at the dog park and soak it in by osmosis. if he could get a dog? he grew up with labs and she grew up with goldens, so they are stuck in between those. but they are open to pretty much everything. he has an appreciation for all dogs. his mindset during games and pregames? he does not have rituals, but he used to be very obsessed with superstitions and routines but to the point it consumed his life. but his only superstition now is not to have superstitions. in terms of the games, he just tries as hard as he can and lets the chips fall as they may; he tries to take that approach all the time. positive things happen when you work hard and try to do things intelligently. he was in omaha playing in the ushl and it got to the point he would wake up in the morning, count steps from bed to shower, count the number of times he’d towel himself off and brush his teeth... so maybe he’s not talking about superstition, but about obsessive compulsive disorder, but he got to the point where he had to stop doing it.
travis sanheim:
nolan patrick:
both of them were mentioned but i don’t remember her asking any questions to them--both had to leave and i may have missed it.
#there was also a lot of cool info about how media day works but i figured everyone was probably more interested in the players#flyers#kevin hayes#scott laughton#michael raffl#carter hart#justin braun#sean couturier#claude giroux#brian elliott#james van riemsdyk#phil myers#shayne gostisbehere#ivan provorov#joel farabee#oskar lindblom#alex lyon#the alex lyon questions.... i love him :'(#travis konecny#jake voráček#robert hägg#ari listens to podcasts so you don't have to
