On a more serious note, my dad tries to keep only local plantlife on his property. He got a seal of approval of some sort for his efforts.

Kiddo, a good number of years back, called out that there were birch trees over on one side of the pond. My dad was proud of him for spotting them and asked how he knew species of trees.

"they're white like in Minecraft." kiddo says.

Grandpa suddenly wasn't so happy that kiddo knew trees.

That's right, the man who parked me in front of SimPark and let me learn everything about plants and animals across the united states from quizzes about identifying plants and animals to gain more SimPark money to build my park. That guy. He was mad kiddo learned even one thing from a game kiddo and I work together in to build cool things.

So I don't care how you learn to identify things. Are you walking past oak trees because of the leaf shape, or because you're stepping on acorn caps? Doesn't matter, you know they're oaks, it's good enough for me. Where did you learn about leaf shapes, or about acorn caps? I don't care, you identified an Oak tree, good job.

have i talked before about how crazy it drives me that in old bdubs videos he would super abashedly talk about his love for making things pretty? because. it drives me crazy.

at the beginning of mc4 when everyone was clearing out spawn so it was a lifeless flat plot of land to build on and bdubs took it personally and added grass and foliage once everything was built to make the whole landscape more lively and cohesive. and how hed get made fun of for thinking about little shit like that.

also when he got asked what hed be doing if he wasnt doing mc and he mentioned music (i think) and basically was super embarrassed to be like “i know its not very manly, but im super into artsy fartsy stuff”. as if that is a bad thing.

anyway im getting so emo thinking about how in hermitcraft, everyone knows and admires bdubs skill as a builder and its not ever something thats made fun of anymore. thinking about how bdubs never talks down about his own abilities anymore and instead of feeling weird about being a dude whose into artsy fartsy stuff, hes really embraced his career as a creator of beautiful things.

What I find hilarious about MCD: Rebirth is that Aphmau had the chance to make Aaron a character early on so he doesn't just come out of nowhere, do nothing, then fuck Aphmau and die. But instead, we meet Gene first like. Huh.

Are my friend and I the only people who pack-bond with anything in Minecraft?? Like in one creative mode world we have a skeleton who spawned in my build one night and we gave him a nametag and full netherite armor. Shortly prior, she jokingly named him "sans." so he wouldn't despawn. It was kind of a joke at first but now the castle is his home.

Then in the same world after we fought the ender dragon, we gifted the Endermen a bunch of blocks (sand, grass, clay, tnt). My friend would get upset/worried when one would look angry after an endermite spawning in. That little group of Endermen now feels like a familiar friend group to me.

Oh, and in my From the Fog world on Java, I pack-bonded with Herobrine.
