we should talk abt sachiros dead fish eyes like in most panels theres no light in them he just stares into urself with nothing in his eyes he looks like an awful freak but the moment he lays eyes on kourai they light up and thats a conscious choice furudate made….. Im not crazy

Ushijima probably runs so fucking hot he just radiates warmth for sure and Tendou probably has a habit of sticking his hands up under Ushijima's shirt to warm them up and otherwise trying to use him for heat and it always makes Ushijima jump because his hands are so cold but Tendou apologizes and explains that for once he's not trying to be annoying he's legit just so cold and Ushijima is so warm and Ushijima just sort of nods and accepts this weird reality of "i can warm people up" anyway what I'm saying is that in lieu of a way to verbalize his affection for his teammates and friends, Ushijima develops the habit of absolutely bear-hugging anyone who complains about being cold or who he thinks is cold. Everyone pretends that they hate this but by god the man is a space heater on legs and gives such good hugs they may as well enjoy it.

Shirabu shivering waiting for the bus after school because he forgot his gloves and Ushijima just holds his hands without saying anything. Leon complaining about the AC being cranked up so high in the cafeteria and Ushijima wraps an arm around him. Goshiki complaining about not having a big enough jacket for a sudden winter cold snap while they're walking outside and Ushijima fully drapes his arms over his shoulders. Now whenever Tendou tries to stick his hands up his shirt, Ushijima just wraps him up in a hug and lets him warm up as long as he needs.

Its honestly really cold for Ushijima, these guys are freezing, but he puts up with it for their sake.

if we're talking about the panel where kageyama sees hoshiumi spiking for the first time, i interpret his tiny smile as a way to show that he isn't scared of his skills but rather excited to learn more from him and his jumps! as kageyama himself admitted, hoshiumi is a great "reference" so tobio can improve by watching him play; also, i believe he immediately thought about a new way for hinata to jump after seeing this, that's why after meeting hinata again, kageyama says that he can fly even higher than the little giant he met at the training camp.

as always, kageyama is happy playing against the strongest, but also because he can grow stronger! he learns new techniques not only for himself, but also to help his teammates (especially hinata) to soar high as they become masters of aerial battles together 💙🧡

when I mean quit traumatising me with thoughts about a volleyball manga, I meant it. What am I supposed to do with the knowledge that Hinata knew his weakness from the start and seeking individual growth (greed being a positive thing) doesn’t make him any less of a team player? Or that their extreme love for volleyball is what isolated them until they found each other? (or how entirely besotted Kageyama was with Hinata right from the start lmao) But really, reading your posts give me a greater appreciation for the manga and I didn’t even know that was possible! Im glad that I make you love hq more because honestly, there's few things better than being able to share your love of something with someone else and when you can bond with other people over that shared interest. It's sooo delightful. And like personally, interacting and having conversations and talking at people makes me like it and think about it more. It's also the way that i flesh out my thoughts.
