There's actually a spot in-game where all the otters hang out after you free them from some cages and monsters and stuff so you take him there 🥺 And they automatically just SWARM y'all and Neuvillette doesn't have any outward reaction but inside he's dying because both you and the otters look adorable- and then he looks to see you holding one right next to him and suddenly you're pointing to the blue stripes on the otter's head and then to his horns and continuing your theory,, the otter is like 🥺 while he is like 😶

Okay but. You definitely start naming the otters while he's just there like 🧍‍♀️ and then you start encouraging him to name one too!! They're like your little babies 🥺 and sometimes he even visits them without you (you got him attached but he won't say anything)

there’s more: story from my own youth, I once tricked my father into reading nearly a whole book of fairy tales for my bedtime story before my mom caught us

Now head me out: Dazai doing that with Chuuya but completely on accident

he just keeps looking so happy when Chuuya reaches the end of the story that Chuuya can’t stop himself from starting the next one and by the time his baby has fallen asleep, they’ve finished the whole book and the baby is happy to babble about the stories for days on end so Chuuya starts getting more and more (not to often or to intensely as to not scare Dazai) but enough that Dazai gets to hear multiple versions of the one fairy tale and have some fun

his favourite? I shall point to dead apple and say no more for reference

I think with Dead Apple it’s absolutely canon that Dazai loves fairytales (bsd mayoi also just released a fairytale event where they were like The Whole ADA Loves Fairytales so it checks out even further)

Dazai just likes hearing the sound of Chuuya talk so i bet he would be thrilled to be read to, let lone fairytales 😭 Chuuya comes home one day with a nice thick book and Dazai sees the title and has to pretend to not be interested until he drops and then that’s all he wants to do 😭🥺🥺

"Urby! What are we doing here?" You asked excitedly as you saw the sign for the aquarium.

"Well I know we haven't had much time together lately and I remember you saying something about the new otters being here. So I figured I surprised you with a little aquarium date and we can find somewhere to eat afterward." He said.

"Awh Urby! I love you so much." You said placing a kiss on his cheek.

"I love you too sweetheart." He said placing a kiss on your lips after he parked.

You guys got out of the car and headed up toward the entrance of the aquarium, where you guys got your tickets before heading inside. You guys walked around looking at the different exhibits and taking pictures but you became super excited when you saw the stingray exhibits and ran over there leaving your boyfriend behind who can only shake his head and smile at how adorable you were.

"You and your stingrays." He said smiling at you as he wrapped his arms around you.

"I know. It's just that every time I see one I think of Grandpa, I really believe that he reincarnated as one of these beauties." You said touching the glass with a small smile.

"I think he did too and I can see why too, they're beautiful creatures." He said placing a kiss on your cheek.

You guys continued walking around the different exhibits, talking and just being in your own world, both of you thinking about how lucky you were to have each other in your lives. You two were talking about one of the exhibits when one of the workers came up to you.

"Sorry to bother you guys, but um I heard you talking about how much you liked the jellyfish lights and I um found some extras we had and wanted to give them to you and tell you how cute you two are." She said handing you a bag.

"Thank you. Do we owe you anything?" Urban asked her.

"No, you don't. Enjoy the rest of your visit." She said leaving you two there with shocked looks on your faces.

"That was nice of her." You said as Urban took the bag from your hands as you two continued walking through the aquarium before heading to the gift shop.

"Thank you for today bubs, I had really great time today with you." You said as you guys walked to the car.

"No need to thank me, sweets, like I said I'm glad we finally got time together between our busy schedules. I miss spending time with you." He said.

"I love you Urby." You said placing a kiss on his lips.

Those of you who have been following me for a while probably already know that my beloved black lab Aldo (inspiration for Strider in Dead of Winter) passed away unexpectedly last July at age 7.

As part of my continued healing process, I decided to get another pup from Aldo’s breeder and I chose a pairing that has similar looks and bloodlines as my good boy did. A week ago I finally got to pick up my pup and bring him home.

His name is Otter. 

And although my heart is still aching for Aldo every day of course, I’m so in love with this little guy already. 😭❤️ He was born with a special right ear that is a bit short and looks like it has a little scoop out of the tip (you can see it in the first pic!). He also has adorable white markings on the bottoms of his paws that I hope stay forever. He is so so sweet and soft and suuuuper smart.

So... if you notice that my writing slows down a bit now until I get the little guy up to speed, you can blame Otter. haha
