Yes of course! hehehe, I wanted to mention (I am being quite slow with asks and general writing because I am busy with doing academic stuff lololol) that I am doing this for all the characters, slowly lol. Taiga is regarded as one of the last Ghouls anyone wants to mess with, he can simply look in a given direction and clear it from any passing students or even staff members, just because he's unhindged to the point of being scary. That doesn't mean he is not affectionate though, not that he's affectionate in a standard, typical way either...

He's very rough. VERY.

No matter if he's happy or angry, he is always very rough, doesn't calculate how rough his movements are, and doesn't care to fix it.

So he just kinda grabs you(?)

Like, no warning either. You're just standing in his general proximity and all of a sudden he just grabs your waist and pulls you to his side to keep you there.

Will not say anything, he will just do this and keep doing whatever it was he was doing.

He's very hard to read, and he does not communicate any of his intentions or reasonings, but you can tell he likes you since:

1. he remembers your name more than other people

2. he does the grabbing you thing every time you're around.

He will do it in any situation, so even if you're on a mission, he will suddenly grab you and is hold your waist really tightly while pointing a gun at someone and laughing scarily. It can be frightening if you're not used to it, but if you spend a lot of time around him you're probably going to get used to it.

This is it by the way, this is how he shows affection: grabbing you. the end, but it does change slightly based on the situation...

If you're with him in the casino, he will pull you to sit beside him so that your thighs are touching and then he'll roughly grab your hair and keep his hand there. If he's feeling like he wants to make the other people around the table jealous or is just otherwise feeling posessive, he will put his hand on your thigh instead of your hair and make sure it is very visible to everyone else.

He might loudly ask you if you like it so everyone hears it, or if he's really feeling unhindged he will "whisper" something dirty to you...

HE IS VERY POSESSIVE. VERY.

If someone looks at you for too long you're now sitting on his lap and he's holding your waist roughly and telling you you're his, doesn't matter if you're actually together or not, he will just do this.

If someone was flirting with you or looking at you for too long, he will go stand very close to that person and tell them to "back off."

They will.

He will smile at you afterwards.

Also, if you end up in his room you are not leaving, ever. He will hold you in place if you try to leave, doesn't understand you have a life lmfao.

His only other form of affection is roughly telling you you're his.

The only way to show him affection is to let him grab you. You have a single chance to escape his affection (when he just starts doing it) otherwise he will never stop doing it lol.

Believe it or not, he hates being touched, so if you try to hug him or hold his hand, or even just stand close to him, he will go away and he will push you back.

BUT, if he grabbed you, and then you do something like pat his head or hold him back, he'll be fine with it and will like it.

As I said, it is very hard to read him, so if you like him you just have to let him do whatever he wants pretty much and get as much out of it as possible.

He's also a reverse psychology guy as we see in canon, so if you want him to do anything tell him not to do it, and then he will.

Like "Taiga, don't hold my hand." and then he will say "Don't tell me what to do" and hold it.

Likes when you sleep over, again, as long as he's holding you, and will enjoy it if you play with his hair, BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE ALONE.

he has no shame about anything though, so if he's in the right mood (quite rare) and if he initiated it first, he'd be fine with you being all over him in public, and would actually like it just to show you off.

And then? There is a child. Like, if someone took the appearance of an Uchiha and gave them the disposition of one of them. He is Lost. Was following a map, that they all wanna grab because oooh they wanna learn how it works and make their Own! Sentient Map! Give! 

But? The child? Mentions that some ghosts can break through the bounds of this reality? Can get back to the land of the living? They just need? To figure out which direction to go in? And anyone knows, you give the Uzumakis even the slightest chance of success, and they will all take hold like a small angry dog. 

It is Chaos. The dead have risen. The entire Uzumaki clan are back- again! Unkillable! Can fly! Can go through walls. Invisible! And that’s just the basics! They are vicious, petty, angry bastards that need no sleep! Will be taking all their stolen stuff back now!

The more you think about it, the most pressing question about Fenoglio's Inkheart isn't "who in the hell was the protagonist of it?" (it's either Cosimo, the Prince, or, y'know, the guy the literal title refers to - or all three of them), but rather "what in the raging hell was the Shadow's deal?" considering he was immortal, implied to be invincible, could only be destroyed by being rewritten, and as much of an asshole as his boss to the point where you wonder how this guy was dealt with in-story unless the ending saw Capricorn not just get away with everything but also win

re: the ableism in Dot and Bubble

I understand it almost certainly wasn't Rusty's intention for the "can't walk without the arrows" thing to be ableist, but the implications are there and it was so, so hard to watch.

As I said while liveblogging, I've noted that reliance on tech like Google Maps has caused a regression in skills like navigation and a frustrating refusal to even try. I'm frequently faced with that fact as I live somewhere you have to use your eyes to see and most fast food delivery drivers just Cannot Find Us bc the GPS goes wild and they can't follow the directions I always give them so I inevitably have to go out to find them myself. Believe me, I know what he was going for with that part of the script.

However.

When you exaggerate that point to the tune of "she literally cannot walk" without the aid, and then instead of it being deeply disturbing to the two 'kind, helpful' characters (Doc n Ruby), they actively roll their eyes at her and it's played as an "omg how stupid is she" moment, you have to see how that looks.

Let's reframe it: someone you've met was raised in a cult. A very insular, very strict cult that they literally have never seen outside of. At this point in time you know nothing about them but you do know they're in a very insular, very closed-off society. One day they tell you they have no idea how to,,,,,, idk, wash themselves without assistance. If your first instinct is to laugh at them and roll your eyes like they're overexaggerating, you're an ableist.

I struggle to believe anyone like the Doctor wouldn't perhaps initially react with confusion/incredulity but then, after realising this person is 100% serious, go "oh my god that's horrible okay uh let me try to walk you through this and teach you how".

It's a horrible, cynical response that would maybe track if at this point the characters already knew she was an entitled pissbaby. But they don't and that's why it comes across so terribly.

Especially when there's no indication that this is a side-effect of her entitlement and she's literally insulting herself "I'm so stupid!" and genuinely upset and frustrated that she can't even walk in the face of actual death. And yes, she miraculously can walk again once she meets Ricky but it wasn't because she was ignoring the Doctor's advice because racism because he had not given her any. She had literally zero clue how to walk without assistance until Ricky guided her.

This isn't a refusal to learn a skill based on entitlement, this isn't a heavy-handed metaphor, you have given this girl a disability (even if it is psychosomatic, it is still a disability). And in a time where social media + youth entitlement is being blamed for an increase of ADHD, Autism, chronic illness and DID diagnosis-seekers (among other things, but those are the ones people are most aggressive against) that just does not look good At All.

Russel could easily have made it so that they just had no idea how to navigate without the bubble and refused to learn.

Maybe at first show it as genuine frustration on Lindy's part that she can't find anything without guidance but slowly show that no, she's perfectly capable, she just doesn't care to learn.

Hell, you could have everything play out the same way but have her genuinely get offered help to begin with by the Doctor and ignore it, only for Ricky to say the same thing to her later and she gets it immediately.

Idk, anything beyond literally disabling her. The show does a great job at humanising her before showing us that she was a monster all along, but I feel like Rusty himself forgot that he was still representing a Whole Entire Person (something that people on all ends of the political spectrum do All The Time: "person is bad therefore [___ism] is okay in this instance". Ableism especially)

This is generally set over the course of a few days to maybe a few months post-invasion. Generally speaking, Casey has always struck me as a doer not a thinker. He can never sit still, And coupled with a new environment, unsettled by lack of familiarity, insecurity over not having anywhere else to go, not wanting to be a burden/wanting to help his family (even if they’re different) and fueled by a need to manage (*cough ignore *cough) his crushing grief and general anxiety. Casey does what he does best and moves… to an unhealthy degree.

I think he's very firmly a dog person. I don't think he minds cats, necessarily, but he probably likes the loyalty and companionship that come with a well-trained dog better than the fickleness of most cats, since the latter tends to remind him of Sibylla's less admirable traits. I imagine his doggos love him well in return, internally going "Ah, our human is asserting dominance again!" whenever they hear him bark at Guy, lol. They're spoilt as all hell but Tiberias pretends to be annoyed at their antics whenever there are people around.

Anyone else find it weird that there was an episode about a dolphin trying to stop humans from polluting the Earth by destroying large ocean structures like oil rigs and cruise ships but he was the bad guy that the heroes had to defeat?

I mean, "dolphin mutated by pollution tries to stop pollution" is the most Saturday morning cartoon hero idea ever but I guess the writers were like "well, we already have heroes, so let's make him a villain" and then made him "dirt-dweller" racist and had him mind control whales to destroy a bunch of random landmasses so the audience wouldn't feel bad about the heroes fighting to stop someone from stopping pollution.

Loonatics Unleashed just had to have an activist villain who went "too far", and that's just really weird to me.
