Why goldie doesn't get like getting mad-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yyyyeah... While Gold Choco gets passive aggressive and catty when annoyed, he doesn't really ever let himself get full-blown angry. Mostly because he sees that as the other side winning, that they actually managed to strike a nerve with him. But it's also for the reason that he overheats his inner workings when he snaps. Causing a few wires to spark and systems to restart. Having him cosplay the world's angriest storm cloud of smoke and static.

Hi this is the main account for @yourgildedcage I'm featuring the recruiters in a special Halloween fic and want to make a last minute ask about the Recruiters personalities. (I'm aware I can search around Tumblr but I like having multiple sources)
If all the main recruiters are too much I can settle for Apple Poison, Malfie and Jack Heart.
Hi there, I'm always happy to be a source of info for the Recruiters! You've probably seen it but I do have a intro post on each Recruiter here if that's helpful at all: link
I'm not sure what info you'd like exactly so I'll do a basic summary of their personalities. Hope it helps!
Apple Poison: The stoic, tall, dark and handsome "uncle" of the Recruiters. He's professional and takes his job seriously, when he goofs off it doesn't seem to be on purpose but he's just funny like that.
Jack Heart: The natural "Entertainer" Jack is very bouncy and acts like he's always in the spotlight. He has young, playful energy but can be a bit of a brat, such as when he picks fights with Apple or is dismissive of other's Masters.
Mr Dalmetia (Daru): He is the personification of a puppy so naturally he is bratty and full of energy. He will pick fights by teasing others and he gets along really well with Jack. He does not hide his emotions and will jump on you if he's happy and bark at you if he's not.
Malfie: The Narcissist of the group, nothing matters more to Malfie than his own appearance and telling others how beautiful he is. Overall he gets along with everyone, he's not as outspoken as say Jack or Daru but will eagerly participate in conversation
Eight-foot Joe: He's just a tired guy here to do his job. He performs at the bare minimum of what is required of him but seems to genuinely care for the other Recruiters who have become his family. He is mostly dismissive or reluctant to participate in antics but can be seen chatting away in the background.
Lady Pirate Hock: She is very serious and takes on the role of a big sister to the other ladies- she is authoritative and can often be seen flirting with Veil and Farja. She takes her job seriously and clearly holds great pride in being a pirate in Captain Hook's crew.
Veil: She can seem a little air headed but she clearly takes her job seriously. She is devoted to her master and her roots, with the motif of the bell of Notre Dame, she sings most of her feelings and has an amazing voice. She is often picked on by the men because she's less likely to snap back at them.
Pretty Scar: She's energetic and loud but also very "cutesy" which is seem as a bad image for a villain. She's the type that would say "UwU" unironically and ask you isn't she "so pweety and cyute". She is madly in love with Daru and clings to him any chance she gets and while she doesn't seem to get along very well with any of the others, she holds pride in herself.
Farja: The other louder member of the ladies group, Farja is obnoxious and the brattiest of the women. She will straight up ask for praise and get mad if you don't give it to her, she could be considered selfish but gets along with the others well enough. Farja loves magic tricks and teasing others.
Ms Hades: She's the more standoffish, 'cool' one of the ladies. She is here to do her job and that's about it. She will have quiet conversations with the others but usually keeps to herself. She is professional and graceful but is the type that gets giddy and excited at mentions of her master.

oh fuck this got long uuuuh. answers under cut <3
How does your character handle failure or setbacks? Are they resilient or easily discouraged?
Aphrodite is extremely resilient, almost to a fault. If something she did doesn't work out, or she's failed in some way, she's able to rebound back in record time, often with a new plan. However, this makes her extremely reckless in some situations, and can even be to her detriment if she's not careful.
Imagine your character in a challenging moral dilemma. How would they approach it, and what choice would they make?
I mean... what was a more challenging moral dilemma than "should we sacrifice half the planet to create god so the rest of us can live". I've said this before, but if she had known that was the plan (in my canon the Convocation kept it secret from her until the plan was enacted, especially because her friend Elidibus and her brother Hythlodaeus were among those sacrificed), she would've done every single thing in her power to stop it from coming to fruition, up to sabotaging the summoning. It's not necessarily that her "moral compass" is strong or whatever, but she firmly believes that there is always a workaround that doesn't involve taking a life. She's a fan of violence but not of killing, if that makes sense.
Describe a defining moment in your character's life that marked a turning point or significant change in their path.
See the aforementioned "half the planet was sacrificed and they didn't tell her". She was furious, especially towards Hades; he was friends with Hythlodaeus and did nothing to stop her brother from sacrificing himself. She snapped her mask in half, both representing her leaving the Convocation and symbolically destroying the seat of Azem. She became extremely disillusioned with anything to do with the Convocation, telling both the ancient that would become Azeyma and the actual next-in-line Nike (who would become Giselle on the Source and Lyna on the First) to not take the Convocation up on any offer to take up the seat of Azem. As such, the seat remained empty. Azeyma joined Venat's side, Nike stayed neutral and protected those in Akedemia Anyder. As for Aphrodite, she also refused to side with Venat; to her, the sundering was just as terrible of a fate as half the population being sacrificed, and there had to be a way to save the star without any more lives being destroyed.
Venat put Aphrodite under a sleeping spell so she couldn't stop the sundering.

Ethan Hawke on creativity:
"Most people don't think about poetry, right? They have a life to live, and they're not really that concerned - until their father dies, they go to a funeral, you lose a child. Somebody breaks your heart, they don't love you anymore. And all of a sudden, you're desperate for making sense out of this life, and 'Has anybody ever felt this bad before?'
Or the inverse! Something great. You meet somebody and your heart explodes. You love them so much you can't even see straight. You know, you're dizzy! 'Did anybody feel like this before? What is happening to me?'
And that's when art is not a luxury, it's actually sustenance."

Emet-Selch is canonically a character that used to be very close to the WoL (or rather their former incarnation). Someone that CANONICALLY complained but always came to help. Someone who cared so much he, over 12 millenia, tried to bring back millions of people.
Was he a villain in the end? Sure! But he TELLS you why. He tells you that he feels, loves, grieves. Even after he managed to convince himself that nobody around him is even "alive" and can thus be killed without remorse, DESPITE THAT, he wants to hope that there's another way.
That YOU, the WoL, as the reincarnation of someone he cared deeply for, can make the difference. He could've killed you so, so often. He doesn't. Because he *cares*, he wants you to understand, so he explains and works with you and shows you what happened and the why.
This is all told and shown in the game, btw, that's not fanon.
Emet-Selch is an excellent continuation of Hades - saying one thing and doing another. He cares for Azem and WoL, deeply. Does it excuse his actions? No. But it explains them. He doesn't kill because he wants to and because he relishes power. He kills to restore his WORLD.
If you were told you had to trample down thirteen ant hills to save the world, your family, your loved ones, everyone you know, to make those insignificant ants the people they used to be - you would, too.

If the latest episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi shows anything then it’s the pure horror, terror and soul-ripping despair Darth Vader brings to the galaxy.
And I don’t mean the scene where he drags Obi-Wan into the fire, bc that’s, like… yeah sure, he’s petty and vengeful and so full of hatred and anger, but that’s personal. That’s him and Obi-Wan, of course he’s vengeful and cruel there.
But that scene before.
Where he walks through the village, killing people when he passes them for no reason other than… killing. Trying to get a reaction of the man he assumes is there. The father he rips through the window and chokes in the air, the child rushing to try and help his dad whose neck he snaps. The woman he drags face-down through the sand while she flails. Holy fuck. Imagine you’re living in the galaxy and one day, the Empire comes and takes over. And the Force-sensitive people they have are broken and cruel and they maim and threaten and are horrible enough. And then comes Darth Vader. And you just know that NOTHING is safe. Nothing will ever be safe again. You can be a loyalist and still be dead the next second just because… no because. For no reason. Nothing is safe.

I can't get over how GOOD Andor is. They are not making "episodes", they are making a STORY and dividing this into episodes. And it's so, so good. The characterization is amazing, the Empire is really and truly BAD and fascist and horrible, and the rebellion is ... not heroic clean awesomeness. It's dirty and doing what needs to be done and it's not easy. Or always morally good. It's "oppression breeds rebellion" and using that. Holy shit.
And yes, I know the whole thing of "Disney is actually bad etc blabla" and YES, there is a problem, but we're operating within a system of capitalism and rising fascism, and I truly believe that the message of Andor is important.

@nectaric asked: how does hermes deal with intense emotions (fear, anger, sadness)? does ariadne have anything on her bucket list she has yet to achieve but really wants to?
unprompted headcanon asks | Always Accepting
how does hermes deal with intense emotions (fear, anger, sadness)?
Depends on the situation. Sometimes, if it's anger, he will just get to the point where he snaps and yells and gets up in their face and says exactly what he's thinking. Might even curse them with bad luck depending on who it is.
Usually his response is to a) laugh it off/act like he isn't bothered then b) isolate and either zone out or cry or punch something - just venting that emotion where noone can see.
He's often expected, especially as a messenger/psychopomp/emissary to be professional even in the face of emotionally-charged or upsetting situations, so that is just the way he has developed to keep professional and maintain expectations. He is emotionally avoidant and aloof - he doesn't like comfort when emotional except from his wife and maybe a few very exclusive others. Definitely not anyone directly involved in his work like Zeus or Hades etc.
If it's a positive emotion though, he will express it as is. Usually zooming or doing some sort of lap around the room or a gesture of excitement etc.
does ariadne have anything on her bucket list she has yet to achieve but really wants to?
Depends on when this is set! But I'll think on it in terms of what I haven't explicitly plotted or written yet.
I think she would want to have a festa solely dedicated to her. Even just a small cult of people or worshippers of her husband who wish to celebrate her. She might give an idea or two but she would love to be surprised by the elements of it, what people could create. Even if it was never celebrated again, she'd just like the experience.

Powers Jason and Thalia could have that I regularly think about (usually in regards to Jason or my OCs with similiar powers):
Flying
Electrokinesis or whatever it's called: basically just can control lightning, wind, clouds, the sky, etc
Related to the above: lightning is electricity. Nerves are electricity. Piss them off and find yourself burning from the inside out. Find yourself being controlled like a puppet as your nerves fire off the wrong messages to your muscles and make you do things you don't want to do (kind of like blood bending)
Also they can rip the air out of your lungs
Can create storms: tornados, rainstorms, hail, gail force winds, hurricanes, lightning storms, etc
Zeus/Jupiter is the god of the sky, the sun and stars are in the sky so they can create their own light. Probably on a lesser scale than Apollo's children but yeah
Law inducement: Can force their personal rules on other people. Say Thalia believes very intensely that new and younger Hunters must be accompanied by an older Hunter. Well now you believe very intensely the same. Can be used to force enemies to join your side or to make them punish themselves if they broke a rule
Related to the above - logic manipulation: think of someone disagreeing with Jason's plan. Well he's the king, he's in charge. All he has to do is convince them he's right
Extreme sense of moral justice - black and white attitude to things (hahaha, autistic behaviour lmao). Also because of this they have a very much "you are wrong, I am right" attitude to disagreements and it is very difficult to get them to see the other side of things once they've made up their mind
Inherent leadership skills. People feel compelled to follow them and do what they say. Works well with war-related demigods like Ares/Mars, Athena, Bellona. Doesn't mesh well with Poseidon and Hades's children as the ocean will never be orderly and death cannot be controlled - requires more effort to get them in line and I like to think they can break out of easier than other people
Also related to the above: order manipulation. Say the army is out of whack? A few snapped demands and and everyone is working like a well-oiled machine. Throw a deck of cards into the air and they fall into a perfect stack. That kind of thing
Heightened senses using the air around them - can hear/smell from far distances. I headcanon that Jason, as a wolf child, is more attuned to using this power and often forgets to turn it off which leads to its own privacy issues. They can also use the air to touch - it's a different sensory thing from physical touch. Again Jason is more attuned to using this power and often does so to reach out to his friends when they're closeby
They're like a battery. The air is all around them. The sky is there. Winds whip around them and it only makes them stronger. They can summon lightning from the sky and when it hits them, it's like a power-up
Healing using air - a favourite headcanon of mine. Percy can heal himself in the water? Cool. Thalia and Jason can heal themselves with air. They have advanced healing when they're above ground, more so than most demigods, but if they want to speed it up they can use concentrated bursts of air like a bandage over the wound
Also relayed to the moral justice/law inducement: punishments. They feel like they must enact or have someone else enact punishments on rule-breakers. The more important the rule, the worse the punishment. This can be very dangerous in the event the rule that is broken is stupid
i.e. Thalia has a personal rule against eating dinner without cleaning up first. She will follow this as strictly as she can (and might not eat dinner if she can't clean up because of this). When other Hunters don't clean up, even mildly like washing their hands before eating, she feels the urge to punish them for rule-breaking. Depending on how important the rule is, her idea of justice could be forcing them to wash up after everyone else OR it could be killing them
they feel so fucking strongly about their rules that it nearly blinds them to all else (again, autistic behaviour, lmao)
I feel like people very much downplay the extent of what Zeus/Jupiter's kids can do and I don't know if it's because Rick didn't put any real thought into Jason and Thalia's powers or because people just sort of reduce Zeus down to his lightning bolt - I think people also often forget he's the god of law and order.
Anyway, I have an OC and a story (original, not fanfic) very much based on the above powers after I fell into a hole thinking about them so like, I could go on forever about it, their applications, consequences, etc.
the Big 3 kids power scale is immensely funny to me. Cause like. Percy and Nico could cause the apocalypse if they wanted to with little to no effort. They could accidentally kill somebody and barely notice. They could cause a natural disaster with a sneeze. Hazel? Could absolutely do the same but has way more control over her powers than they do, and has more specialized powers rather than their generalized powers, and also generally simply chooses not to. If she wanted to make an earthquake she could, but she doesn’t so she won’t. Thalia? As far as we know, basically just a tesla coil with an attitude. She’s never done anything more than that. Jason? Same but he can also do windy things. and then Tyson has no demigod powers because he’s just a cyclops and Bianca we never got to see the powers of except getting to keep her memories while a ghost, some implications of dream manipulation, and effects from the Lethe eventually wear off for her.
Like, technically it’s probably because Zeus/Jupiter has less forces-of-nature aspects and more like, law/business/order stuff. So Jason and Thalia just kind of get the short end of the stick in terms of physical abilities. But also it’s incredibly funny what a stark difference is between them and the other Big 3 kids. Like oh, sorry, you can only make some sparks. Meanwhile your buddy over there got startled by a bug and now it looks like Night Of The Living Dead, or a flood. Whoops.

Greek Gods + Goddesses
These are just all my thoughts on their appearances, so take it with a grain of salt, and don't take them too seriously. It's not a powerpoint, ik, but forgive me. I'M LAZY.
ZEUS
The Douchebag Supreme has grey hair and a beard, and over all looks good. Dare I say handsome. He can change to look older or younger, but the crows feet at the edges of his eyes never really go away.
Has an air about him that either makes you really like him or really hate him. You'll never see him skip leg or arm day. His bolt takes a lot to throw (more than he'd admit) so his arm/shoulder/back game is too good for someone with such a bad personality.
POSEIDON
Its easy to nail him as a surfer dude, and no one is more tempted to follow than trend than I am, but I'm not. He's actually more of a trawler fisherman. Real burly bulk.
Messy hair, full beard, tanned skin. Probably has a few scars but not as many as Ares. Wears woolen cloths a lot and looks like a grandpa way too often. His hands a really rough from all the stuff he handles with no gloves and the saltwater getting into callouses.
HERA
I had to look at pictures because unlike everyone else, nothing was coming to mind for what she looks like. But yeah I like this long dark hair portrayed in some pictures. More curled than straight though.
Has the kind of face that can go from looking really kind and soft and motherly - the ideal wife - to looking like she'll ask for your head on a platter when she opens her mouth next. A completely sudden switch between the two and she does it flawlessly. Snaps to her, take that Zeus.
APRODITE
Everyone agrees she is gorgeous, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am a firm believer in the shapeshifter Aphrodite theory, so what she looks like doesn't matter so much.
Because everyone's view on what is beautiful, or who is the prettiest vary from person to person, her looks come across different for each person, including herself. She doesn't mind so much now as she may have previously.
HEPHESTUS
Poor guy was thrown away by his mother because he was ugly. Ik he's a god but that effects people badly, so he probably doesn't maintain a certain type of appearance. His hair is long, not messy, and he's got a full beard that he would never get rid of because of his disfigured face.
He's got the biggest body of all the gods. Built up a lot of muscle with a healthy layer of fat all over. Like the kind of person you could happily nap on, but who could also crush your head in one hand.
ARES
(Yoiking this one from Rick Riordan) He's got a very scarred face. They're all over his body, God of War and all that, but he still has a handsomeness to him. Not saying all his scars are pretty - there's one across his cheek that's particularly gnarly - but he wears them with pride, so it works.
Very bulky in how his body is built, and honestly he probably walks in a way that makes him even more intimidatingly. Very board shoulders, smaller waist but not snatched. Thighs and biceps are LARGE.
HADES
Just because he's the of of the underworld, I'm going to say his skin is almost transparent in some lighting, you can see his skeleton. I know he's not the god of death, but souls enter in his realm and idk but I feel like he'd kinds fit into that. And I think it looks cool.
Very tall and thin. Dark hair. Looks more starved and wet and paretic than all the blorbos from your shows put together. His eyes are dark but like his skin they seem to fade in and out of existence.
HERMES
He's hard for me to pinpoint a look for. The god of travelers and thieves, a messenger. One thing I can say is that he's small. Not tiny, and by human standards ig he's pretty average. Most likely to pass by you on the street and you not even notice or look at him twice.
Can get into small spaces (flexible), and has the endurance to walk or run whenever he wants (I thinking good leg power). Also most likely to have no collarbones and be blond. idk why.
APOLLO
Gets so much sun time, so his hair is majorly sun-bleached like sailors who spend too much time on deck out at sea, but his skin is dark and full of melanin. He's the one I can see being portrayed as only ever being black - the others are definitely chameleons, but Apollo is definingly a black guy in my books.
Immaculate skincare routine. He thinks it is anyway, even though it could definitely be worse (better? Let's say more complex). Either way, flawless skin. Rocks the moles he has though.
ARTEMIS
I knew she and Apollo are twins, but he's the sun and she's the moon. So her hair is super dark, and her skin is so pale. The only sunlight she sees (unless she's on Mt Olympus) is what's reflected off the moon. Starved Victorian Child kind of pale. Being tanned is a lifestyle and it's not one she lives.
Very small in body-type. I'm thinking almost child-like, but not quite. As if she never grew out of her teen years into maturity. Eternal youth and maidenhood and all that. Her power in in her arms, drawing back on a bow takes practice and time and damn her arms are good for it. Flawless draw.

The stomach siblings all have some level of claustrophobia after escaping their dad's belly.
Hades gets past it the fastest. He loves the dark, feels safer in it and as long as it doesn't get too hot, he doesn't stress too much. He buries himself alive to ground himself out of his own head and after a few burials, he doesn't need to have his head peeking past the surface of the earth. Just sinks into the ground and curls into a little ball, taking stock of the darkness, the coolness of the dirt and the comforting confines of the underground.
Hera moves past it because she makes herself move past it. She does not like having weaknesses. Creates her own exposure therapy. She does have set backs like accidentally getting locked in her own closet and punching Ares in the throat when he tried to help her (he's just a big ol' mama's boy). But overall she's past it and her heart doesn't start slamming in her ribcage when she can't find an exit anymore. She's smarter than her fear. She makes sure of it.
Poseidon does not process it well at first. The war takes up all the space in his mind and the ocean is neverending. He feels free inside it. Everything is fine as long as he can see. Takes him a while to figure out he's not as past it as he thought. He was surrounded by people when he was stuck and when he's not, he knows he's safe. The first time his wife shares his bed he wakes up hot, suffocating. Nearly snaps his own neck trying to get up and out. They leave the windows open from then on out. He'll wake up too warm and duck his head through them, breathing shallowly and remembering that this is his domain. His father has no power over him here. No one can swallow the ocean.
It's unknown if Hestia moves past it. Everyone knows she's hates the dark. She's surrounded by flames, her hearth, a never-ending nightlight. But being trapped? They wouldn't know. She always avoids situations where she feels trapped - physically, emotionally. She travels the world. She's sweet and kind. She carries weapons for her own safety against monsters but she's used them more often in blind, near dissociative panic to dig at walls and doors. It's easier as time goes on but there's always a nagging sensation at the back of her head. It's unlikely to ever really leave.
Demeter moves past it at a steady pace after the war. And then she's raped in the middle of a cluster of horses and it comes back. She starts to move past it again, finally comfortable closing doors and sleeping inside, only to be raped once more in a hole in the ground she can't escape. It comes back and doesn't leave. She can't stand the idea of being closed in anymore. Everytime she is, something horrible happens to her. It's so bad, she can't sleep with a blanket. It's so bad, she can barely sleep inside her cottage, needing to sleep surrounded by thorns. It takes her years before she can even feel comfortable letting Persephone have her own door and its only with the promise she'll never lock it that she hands it over. Because terrible things happen when you're locked in somewhere unable to escape. And she cannot let those terrible things happen to her baby girl.

Hi! just wanted to make some ask to know your opinion, wich male disney villains you think would like the idea of having a family with their S/O at some point? and wich you ones you think can make good parents? :)
Alright kind of a long one but here we go
Villains who want to start a family and would (at the very least) be decent parents:
Hades, Facilier, Hook, Gaston
Now I say "decent" because they are.. well villains that do questionable things for a living. And there are two of these guys that have a knack for putting kids in harms way.
*cough* Hook and Hades *cough*
But let's just say it's a different story when it comes to their own kids.
---
Hades
He would be the one to bring it up first, surprisingly. Usually by mentioning it casually in a conversation. Yet he needs to be sure they want this as much as he does. He may be a god, but he isn't an asshole.
Will scoop his partner up in a bone crushing hug and shower them with kisses once they agree. The guy's overjoyed, which is quite rare.
I'd like to think Hades would strive to be the father he never had. He definitely wants to give his kid a better childhood than the one he went through.
The first few months are hell for the guy. Like he has no idea what to do without pointers from his spouse. Reluctantly, Hades goes out to seek advice from other gods who have children or at least has the experience in taking care of them. Just so he can help out as much as he can.
If his kid ends up having god like abilities, Hades would take the time to mentor them. Would totally try and convince them to use their powers to cause problems on purpose. Unless his partner intervenes of course.
Dr. Facilier
Will bring up the topic first. He'll pull his partner aside so they can discuss it together. He would love to start a family, but he needs to make sure they're on board with it before anything. Doc is absolutely ecstatic once his partner says yes.
He'll want to plan ahead. To make sure his family will be well provided for. That means having to work overtime as a witch doctor of course. His partner will often remind him not to push himself so much, his safety and well-being matters too.
Pretty good when the first few months roll in. Facilier is a patient man, so a baby shouldn't be too much of a hassle for him. There are times when he'll take them out and about while he's working. He jokingly calls his kid a "good luck charm" since business seems to boom on those days.
Facilier would teach his kid magic as time goes on. His partner is unsure about it (considering doc is still in debt), but he reassures them it's for their kid's safety. He might not be around forever, so he needs to be sure his family will be safe when he's gone. Just to have some piece of mind.
Captain Hook
His spouse will be the one to mention it if he doesn't. At first, he's at loss for words. They want to have a family? With him?? He needs some time to think about it, so his partner might have to wait for a straight answer.
Once he snaps out of it and after much consideration, he says yes. He wants to start a family, though he can't help but worry. What if they hate him? What if they end up just like Pan? Is he even fit to be a good father at all??
His partner stops to reassure him that their kid will love him no matter what. Parenting isn't always easy, but they still have each other along the way. That puts his mind at ease a bit.
Absolutely clueless during the first few months. Hook's fears just come toppling back all at once. He won't hold them for very long with his hook still on. His spouse will need to lend a hand sorry in order to help him out. It's alot better when he gets the hang of things, he never knew kids could be this peaceful. He wishes they'll stay like this forever.
As they get older, Hook will teach them everything he knows. They will only learn from the best when it comes to combat. Fr mans tried to give his kid a gun for their birthday one time. His spouse had to remind him they're not old enough yet. But he has plenty of time to teach them other things until then. And one of those things happened to be swears of course.
His partner was not happy in the slightest.
Gaston
He will bring it up often, unsurprisingly. Before his partner agrees to it, they need to set some ground rules. First off, they are NOT having six or seven kids. If they have more than one, two or three is more than enough. Second, he'll need to help out whenever his partner asks him. They can't do everything by themselves.
Eventually, he caves and agrees to these terms.
What is surprising though, Gaston does fairly well during the first few months. He steps in whenever he needs to and handles his kid with care. Not to mention, he's a great provider and puts food on the table from his hunting trips, so that's a plus. Just don't expect him to change the diapers though.
As time goes on, he strives to teach his kid everything he knows about hunting. He's also a great story teller as well, he'll often talk about the hunting trips or fights he's been in. Will parade both his kid and his spouse on his shoulders, going around town and talk about how amazing his family is. Overall, not so bad as a father.
Hopefully his kid doesn't end up with his ego.

✴Twisted Wonderland Theory: Overblots and their Disney Villain Opposites✴
Tumblr media
I came to a realization just before I went to sleep last night. All of the people who Overblot are the direct opposites of those whose "souls" they supposedly have.
Although Riddle is like the Queen of Hearts and follows rules very strictly, it is not him who originally made them. He also does not truly seem to wish to do such things, but that is all he knows. So, that seems like it is all he can do.
Leona has the vast intelligence and power of Scar in spades. But unlike Leona, Scar was always consistently moving forward within his goal. He was always seen lurking about somewhere or planting little seeds of doubt in Simba there. He just kept on moving. The only time he actually stopped to "loaf around" a bit was when he won. Leona doesn't have any hope too much in terms of ever winning anything, so he just doesnt even try to apply himself.
Azul has the stage presence of Ursula, alright. But you would never see Ursula get that emotional or anything at all, would you? Especially not basically reveal her plan and what all she had done that quickly. Ursula was secluded because she was banished by Triton for unknown reasons (although widely assumed to be racially based). Azul was secluded both due to his rather shy nature as a child and because of how he looked.
It is unknown how Jafar came to be the royal vizier in the first place, although it was possibly as a long placed cover to ensure that he got his hands on the magic lamp. Jamil, however, was practically forced into his own position by his family being "slaves" and whatnot. Jafar was rather outright in what he wished, but the plans came from his sidekick, Iago. Jamil had no loveable parrot sidekick, so he came up with everything himself. Jafar's plan seemed to take only a matter of days, Jamil's intense planning most likely took years.
The Evil Queen has been known for her cruelty in the kingdom- as it is often told and retold that she actually poisoned and murdered her second husband- Snow White's father- just to become the queen of the lands. She sought to be the most beautiful by any means necessary and had little to no qualms about her actions. Vil, however, is- you guessed it! The opposite. Vil believes that through nothing but hard work and determination that you can be the best you can be/beautiful- otherwise, he would have most likely searched for a Siren-esque spell to make himself the most beautiful. Vil immediately began to realize just what he had done and retreated within himself, overloading his brain with that negative energy needed for the Overblot. The Evil Queen would have simply cursed the little ragtag group from the get go.
So, my current standing theory, taking all of this into account, is this for both Idia and Malleus:
Hades was fueled by his desire to move up and be the lone God running the show, since he worked the hardest amongst any of the others. He plotted and schemed for years and years until the planets were in alignment for his "shot" with the help of the Fates. Hades, in the end, didn't really care about Megara- the "Haha she sexy" girl that we all know and love today. She was the ends to meet the means in a way, and he probably would have either just let her go because he didn't care anymore or just put her back down in the Underworld. I believe Idia will be the opposite. He will try to move up to the pinnacle of the Olympus company with his truly stunning inventions and wow everybody thanks to encouragement from both Ortho and most likely our ragtag 1st year group. But Idia's own love and compassion for his brother will be what causes him to flip out, Overblot, and eventually put a halt to his plans.
Little to nothing was known about Maleficent within the original film- that is certain. But I have been paying attention, and I am seeing some mixed elements from both the Maleficent in the "original" Sleeping Beauty and the Maleficent from her standalone film- Maleficent. While I am not as confident about this as I am with Idia, this seems to be where my brain is leading me. The second Magift tournament shall be held with the Diasomnia arc- not the Ignihyde arc like everybody is assuming, for some reason. Why, you ask? Because the basis for over half of the plot for Chapter 2 was that the Diasomnia Dorm was the best and greatest in Night Raven College at Magift. This is literally going to be the biggest event of the year, as they are going against Royal Sword Academy again. I am suspecting that something will occur with Grim's now "normal" behavior seemingly growing worse (given that I am assuming that he shall suddenly revert back to 'normal' in the next chapter) and it will worsen. Malleus will somehow not be invited either to the event of the Magift tournament itself- or the after party. Maleficent within the original Sleeping Beauty film had no love. No compassion. She wasn't named the Mistress Of All Evil for no reason. But, as we have seen with Malleus, he is quite the opposite. The MC/Yuu will wind up possibly getting cursed by something by mistake, and the love that he has for "us" will really shine through. With the Mirror Hall most likely already ruined from his sheer outrage, his Overblot will finish and he shall be the one to wake us after we successfully view his backstory. This will already set up the ruined and recently horrendous stage for Grim to snap, take the final Blot stone, and Overblot himself.
((Hey hey, my lovely Readers! I truly hope you all enjoyed that wild ride of a theory of mine! Let me know what you think, and we shall see in due time whether my brain is headed in the right direction or not! 💖🔮

👀👀👀 Tell me more of Zeus reincarnation instead of Hera (if you'd like of course!)
i would be THRILLED (and also i should mention it is an alex x mc au because of course it is)
After MC inherits Zeus' potential, it's kind of a shock to every Olympian that was in the know about MC's mother. That is- they expected the potential to pass to Josh, but it lands with MC instead.
There are little changes in her that follow, at first- she's a little easier to anger, and when she does get angry or upset, electrical appliances tend to short out if she's close enough. Static electricity tends to cling to her and she's constantly shocking other people- but it never hurts her.
Once she works at HERA (or ZEUS???? i still don't know about that one lmao), things get a little more complicated. She blacks out from time to time, and comes to either standing in front of the golden elevators, or she was at home and comes to halfway to the agency, not knowing how she got that far or why.
She hears Zeus' voice, too. For awhile it's rather quiet, and she learns to ignore it. She can only snap at the voice in her head so many times before a psych eval is issued, anyways, and she doesn't really want to even try to explain it.
Alex knows there are some odd things going on with her, but she doesn't tend to tell even them the whole of it. Alex themself thinks that the oddities are side-effects of her grief from when her mother died, because that's when it all started. They're not completely wrong, but they're off the mark too. They encourage therapy but she's been before, and it's never helped. Even in the rare moments that she does want to spill everything to someone, something stops her and stills her tongue.
Eventually, she learns what it is. Or rather, who.
The longer she's exposed to Olympus and remains in close proximity to it, the stronger Zeus seems to get, and the more he's able to wrest control of MC's body from her. She stops blacking out when it happens, because she's growing stronger, too, and she's often subject to watching Zeus try to maneuver her body.
It's terrifying! But gods dammit, she's not about to give up control to a god who's done nothing but give her problems from day one! Not to mention, she refuses to give up her life with Alex, her dream job, her best friend, her brother.... There's no way she's going to let him take any of that from her.
So she learns to fight back against him and his will to return to Olympus.
She fights against his control and her will and his are in a near-constant battle.
When it comes out to everyone else- by mistake, when she has no choice but to use Zeus' power to stave off a threat to not only Olympus, but the entire rest of the world- it gets.... a lot harder.
There are gods that vie for her attention and company in attempts to convince her to just let Zeus return, that she needs to or she's otherwise dooming the entire Pantheon, that she's being selfish and what an honor it is to be chosen by Zeus
And then there are gods that are, somewhat surprisingly, supportive of her and her struggle to remain herself.
Aphrodite, for one, cannot stand to see the child of one she held so dear to her suffer through Zeus' ire. Nor can she stand to watch her own child's heart break at the prospect of losing their love to the gods.
Hades, who loves his brother dearly but knows that this just isn't the way, and that an unwilling human should not have to face the consequences of a god reborn. He's often torn on what to do and stays out of it as much as he can, but he offers his silent support to MC regardless.
And, perhaps the most surprising of all- Hera. Their queen. Zeus' wife. Most have always turned a blind eye to her relationship with Zeus and thus are shocked when she refuses to vote against MC, when she stands beside her. She doesn't want Zeus to come back. Olympus has prospered in his absence, and on top of that, she cannot go against her very self and break MC's family apart any further. It was her ignorance that led to the death of MC's mother, and, subsequently, to MC having Zeus' potential. She refuses to let it happen again.
SO!!!! Hera decides to try helping MC on the down-low by working on a ritual that would allow MC to take on Zeus' power for herself rather than let Zeus overtake her.
And all the while, while ALL this Zeus shit is happening, MC is still working for HERA and fighting to make the world a better place for all involved and she's fighting to protect the Pantheon and to keep her relationship well and alive and to be herself. She's fighting monsters and half-titans and gods themselves and still dealing with Zeus on the side and it's hard but she doesn't have much of a choice, she just knows that she must keep going. Giving in isn't an option to her.
I'm not sure if this part will stay the same as I continue to think on the au, but at this moment I'd like to think that through all her struggling and refusal to give up and her seeking out justice- through all of it, she slowly convinces Zeus to let go instead. Through her actions and her heart, she is eventually able to show him that she is more than capable of defending those she cares about- those he cares about- on her own, and that Olympus is just fine as it is.
So maybe, he stops fighting against her at every turn. Maybe he starts helping her in moments where she really needs it. Maybe he decides that he doesn't need to return just then, and maybe he'll go back to sleep for some time. Or maybe Hera will figure out the ritual she wanted, and maybe Zeus will simply not resist and let his power finally return to Olympus while he leaves for a long while.
Whatever becomes of him, MC remains.
