Oi! Can you stop posting things that get stuck in my brain so often? Joking, but I mean a lot of things you bring up a lot of fun ideas in your AU that just stick in my brain. Hope I’m not bugging you too much with messages. However, you have introduced my lil emo catholic boy Rollo so I must ask: how would Rollo and Malleus (and anyone else tied to fire) deal with a fire bug?

Like not necessarily someone who starts fires, but someone who LOVES fire. Like I could stare at fires for hours. They are just so pretty and the flickering and swaying look just look amazing. Imagine all the different colors of fires! Especially when I poke it or have something like a match.

- Grim is thrilled his Hooman loves his little ear flames and will intentionally make them flare brighter when he wants more attention. Mostly he just uses his ear flames to make them smile.

- Ortho will laugh and be excited to tell the Human about the hair flame many Shinigami have, giving details while he consciously makes his hair slowly change color flame. It takes some effort, but he cycles through the visible light spectrum before he needs to take a break, his hair snap returning to the usual blue. He's happy to tell them all about it, so long as the Human will listen.

- Idia is going magenta and doesn't even know it, warm hearts forming in his long flame hair as he internally fanboys over the Human looking at him with such an interested gaze. The way they stare at the flickering light and flames as he just burns brighter. He loves it and will burn that sight into his memory.

- Papa Hades quickly picks up on the Human's interest in fire and flames, happily using his magic to create flames for them. Different shapes, colors, creatures, he is making a show of fire to marvel at and enjoy. It has been too long since he has last had an audience so enraptured and it soothes his heart.

- Rollo is struggling with himself over this. He dislikes his flame and the fire that fules his very core. Get a bit too out of hand and *poof* gone. That's how he sees it, at least. It is tragically sweet to him for the Human to adore the things he hates most about himself. Leave it to a divine Human to see the good in the wretched and sinful. He will slowly begin allowing his fire to flourish, if only for the Human's sake. He does adore them quite a bit and will willingly do what the Human wishes of him.

- Malleus loves that the Human enjoys his flames. He will show off his mastery over summoned flames and explain how they differ from Dragon-fire which he can only ever create when angry. Any time the Human wants to see his magic displayed, he will create a bright green flame for them. Eventually he will gift them a crystal containing one of his green flames, around it will spin a group of green fireflies. So they can take his flame anywhere they go and always marvel at his fire.

Best to call Papa Hades to take The Human to the Isle of Woe for the spring. No doubt a bunch of excited and mating-mindset monsters is not beneficial to the Human's overall health or wellbeing.

- Malleus is a Dragon and has a Draconic temper to go with it. Due to his own instincts, he is extremely territorial and openly hostile to anyone who encroaches on that territory without permission. His Hoard is included in that territory and he views all of his Hoard members as a mix between close friends and belongings. He can't help but see his Hoard as belongings due to his inherent proclivity to view others as treasures to be kept and protected. As the Dragon guardian of his Hoard, the job of determining mates for his Hoard falls on his shoulders as well.

- Most in Twisted Wonderland would kill to be a member of a Hoard as it means safety from others and a guarantee of protection from the Dragon. However, most are too afraid of Dragons to approach them directly and thus cannot become Hoard members as it is a decision solely made by the Dragon. Once a Dragon decides a creature is part of their Hoard, there is very little beyond death that can change their status as a member of the Hoard. Dragons don't often steal from another Dragon's Hoard, but it does happen from time to time. Mated Dragons share their Hoards with their mates.

- Dragons are one of the few species of Twisted Wonderland that don't have an age-cap and will continue to live unless killed by an outside factor. This means that a Dragon could live indefinitely. Due to this long life-span, Dragons are able to link their magic and vitality to another living being of Twisted Wonderland to extend their life, this is not a task taken lightly as it does mean that the Dragon is handicapping their own magic by supporting two lives with it and not just their own. The one bonded with the Dragon will share in endless youth where age cannot reap their souls, but they can still be killed by other factors. A Dragon will typically only bind themselves to another if they view that other creature as a life-long mate.

- Dragon scales are immune to most magics and even resistant to most flames, meaning they would make great armor and have uses in magic resistant potions. Malleus saves his shed scales and has considered making a scaled robe for his beloved Human to both protect them and to claim them with his scent. He has run the idea of making a scaled wedding gown for his Human by Lilia and Lilia agrees that it is a wise decision. The scales could offer general shielding and protection from most magics as well as show that visual and scent ownership.

- Papa Hades is well over 6,000 years old and has since lost count over the ages. He has lived many lifetimes and has seen the rise and fall of many civilizations over his long life. He once tried to help the various Kingdoms/Queendoms by offering council and aid, but had since decided to take a backseat to the ongoing march of change. He will render aid if it is requested, but he will no longer offer help or even seek out those who want help. Many a time his words and advice have gone unheeded by those he sought to help and they fell to ruin as a result.

- Papa Hades can- and occasionally will- allow Shinigami unrelated to him to leave Tartarus and seek out a new life in the realm of the living. Very few have been granted this right as Shinigami can be quite dangerous to common folk given their affinity towards death. Few creatures are considered living in Tartarus and even fewer have traversed the realm of the living for any reason. Most creatures native to Tartarus stay in Tartarus excepting the few that Papa Hades has allowed to move between the realms.

- Papa Hades had one lover when he was younger, she has since gone feral ages ago, kept in containment until she had to be put down after she attacked Ortho in blinded rage. Hades does miss her and knows most Shinigami do not have souls the same way those outside of Tartarus do, so he will not see her again even in death. Hades is one of the few Shinigami considered the living-dead as he is from Tartarus but has spent enough time among the living to be considered 'alive' and is in part why he is able to move among the land of the living and dead.

- Papa Hades does not want to go back to Tartarus and is keen to keep as many of his descendants alive and with him. They were born in the land of the living and not Tartarus, he feels they don't belong there anymore. Some of his descendants have willingly gone to Tartarus permanently and they tend to the Shinigami that were born in Tartarus.

- Overblotted Riddle wields a Headsman's Axe as his bound weapon and will attempt to behead those who oppose him. In his mind, his word is law and any who disobey him are breaking the law, so they must be punished. He is ruled by instinct which demands he protects the one he loves above all others, going as far as to isolate and kidnap if needed.

- Riddle's fangs that grew when he Overblotted actually ripped open his mouth at the corners and he still has scars around the corners of his mouth after the Overblot. He also cracked his horn so it had to be filed down past the crack otherwise it could potentially break his entire horn which will result in death for a Unicorn.

- Riddle's fur is still somewhat stained by the inky after effects of the Overblot and his golden hooves have lost some of their shine due to the overblot. They will eventually return to normal but he is still plagued by inky tasting coughing fits and oily fur until it works its way out of his system.

- Riddle has anxiety about losing control again because of what he did to the Human when he lost control the first time. Riddle's yandere tendencies took control of him and forced him into an Overblot, he worries that any direct rejection from the Human will result in the same.

- Azul can taste with his tentacles and as such, doesn't often use them to wrap up those he is angry with. He will wrap up those he feels romantic emotions towards because he does want to take in their natural taste. This means he will almost unconsciously grab the Human with his tentacles should they get close to him while he is in his full Cecaelia form. It embarrasses him to no end with how grabby his tentacles are especially with the Human.

- Azul has a large Octopus pot in Octavinelle which is for his (and the regular octopus') use only. He will often pout in the octopus pot and refuse to come out until either Jade or Floyd go and get him out of the pot. When he decides to pout in the sulking pot, the twins will typically let him stay there for a few hours before they go to get him. He still has duties to take care of in the Monstro Lounge, but he will forgo those duties to sulk in the pot when he is in a bad mood.

- Azul is much like a regular octopus in the fact he has three hearts and blue blood. His tentacles can mostly squeeze into small spaces due to the lack of bones in them. He is also venomous and his venom has mild paralytic properties that tend to incapacitate in high doses or cause a euphoric-like state in low doses. He also has an ink sack he can eject ink out of when startled or in distress, Floyd has a deal with Azul specifically to stop the eel from making the octopus ink in surprise.

- Azul writes extensive romances primarily to do with Humans. He has been long obsessed with the idea of Humans and has romanticized Humanity as a whole. Him meeting a Human has only made him write even more Human related romances and smut due to the fact he is just so in love with the species. Many merfolk viewed Humans as peak beauty and Azul is no different. The Human is absolutely gorgeous in his eyes and he can't help but be completely enamored with them in every way.

- Jamil is a creature that prefers the warmth of sun-baked sands over the cold of winter's touch, so he does not like it when winter rolls around. Often- especially in cold weather- Jamil will find sources of heat (larger students, heaters, sunny areas) to rest his snake half as it does get cold easily or it takes a lot of food consumption to keep that half warm. Nagas are technically warm-blooded, but can act like their cold-blooded snake counterparts in winter and can enter brumation. Jamil refuses to enter brumation because he is busy looking after Kalim and stresses about what may happen while he sleeps.

- Jamil sheds his snake skin and any patches where he has scales. He does not have eye-caps or shed them due to being able to blink and having a regular eyelid. When he sheds, his colors are much more bright and vibrant to look at and he often will show off his scales following a shed. He is especially interested in the Human looking at his scales after a shed because they have an iridescent quality to them following sheds. He is extremely proud of this shine and even Vil envies the freshly shed scales.

- Jamil is Kalim's life-long guard and will remain a guard for Kalim unless he manages to win over the Human and rise above his station. If he does not win over the Human as a mate, he will be stuck in the service of Kalim eternally until his death in which another of the Viper family will take his place. His life expectancy is shorter than Kalim's but Kalim is more likely to be killed as member of the Al-Asim family before Jamil dies of natural causes. He is expected to give his life in the service of Kalim. He resents this deeply.

- Jamil can cook and knows how to cook due to being the primary chef for Kalim. He is very fond of spices as he has a much higher tollerance for them due to being a Naga. Regular snakes cannot taste or register spice, but Nagas are capable of tasting spice if there is a lot in their food. Kalim likes spicy foods and this works just fine for Jamil, the rest of Scarabia (some of whom are not as resistant to spices) avoid Jamil's cooking as a result, no matter how good it smells.

- Epel eats food like a regular blooded creature of Twisted Wonderland, but he gets more nutrients from specific plant matter and high-fat meats. He is less interested in fruits and tends to like meats and vegetables more due to the higher nutrient value. He can easily eat and digest rotting things but avoids them because they have an odd taste to them.

- Epel flowers year round and will always have several flowers atop his head. These flowers often attract bees, who tend to have symbiotic relationships with plant/earth Nymphs. Epel is quite fond of bees and- with Vil's suggestion- takes care of an apiary of bees in Pomefiore. This honey is often utilized by the other students and Vil, but only Epel can get close without being stung due to his standing positive relationship with the bees. Epel can produce apple fruits (seedless) in Autumn and early winter.

- Most plant/earth Nymphs can winter over if they manage to get their roots deep enough and enter a state like hibernation to wait out the scarce months of winter. Epel is a winter hardy species of apple tree Nymph and so he doesn't feel the need to winter over like many others do. Despite being a hardy species, he will occasionally go to the greenhouse to bask in the tropical temperatures.

- Epel has marks along his skin- which is barklike and rough- usually due to fights he has gotten into and the bark-like skin has had to heal around the injury. Most would injure themselves trying to fight him due to his naturally dense body, but sometimes he will meet his match in unexpected places, such as his scrap with Vil who beat him soundly and without using magic.

- Trey has a Water form and a land form due to being a Kelpie. His land form makes him look like a regular Centaur as he just appears to be a white horse with a pale green mane and tail. He cannot see very well out of the water as his eyes were made to be used underwater, hence his need for glasses when he is in his land form. On land, Trey has the body-type of a Scottish Draft-horse and is over 9ft (274in) standing on flat ground.

- In his aquatic form, Trey's back legs turn into a large fin and is made of pure muscle. He can easily concuss or kill others if he whips them with his tail-fin. His white fur turns green and his mane/tail take a more kelp-like appearance. He grows several fins and his fingers become webbed so he can move easier in the water, allowing for a rather quick locomotion when submerged. His skin takes on several green tints and even crates a light striping along his neck and face due to this green coloration. Cater can often be found laying on Trey's back when he is in his aquatic form and the two often swim together in the Heartslabyul lake.

- Trey is a Kelpie, so his primary diet is meat. When he was young, he would often catch his own meals and got in trouble a few times for snatching goats that wandered too close to his preferred hunting grounds. As an adult, Trey will still occasionally grab wandering deer or other larger creatures that get near his lake and will snack on them without cooking them. He often eats his prey raw, but has developed a love for cooked meats thanks to the Human. Trey has even caught a few students from time to time in the Heartslabyul lake. He always releases the students, but he does think scaring the daylights out of them is funny when he does catch them.

- Trey's bonded weapon is a claymore which he often keeps on him at all times. Just because there are more sentient species doesn't mean the world is any safer for anyone. He is very skilled with the claymore and has the upper body strength needed to wield such a large and heavy weapon with ease.

The amount of fist fights / guilt trips / theft among the romantic yanderes family would have over the HAE! Darling hybrids childrens gifts, or any of their possessions is ridiculous. Like I can see Falena trying to coerce Cheka/ his wife into handing over a drawing one of the twins made only to pout when they won't budge. He may have even tried with one of the lioness guards who promptly checked him 😌. Rook's family would definitely just sneak in to get the driderlings baby teeth, and not have an ounce of shame if caught by him or Vil 😭. I wouldn't put it pass our beloved sassy shinigami king to swipe clay monstrosities his hybrid descendant made from someone else in the family and pulling the "ancestor privileges"/ "I'm one of the great seven I've earned this" card to defend himself. 🤣 I'm curious to see your take on them and the other boys families in this scenario. 🌻 anon

The family of the Romantically intentioned Yanderes are always fighting over the half-human young and the Human themselves.

Falena is constantly trying to take the twin cubs out for a day with "Uncle" but has yet to succeed because that means he has to contest with the Lionesses and with his own wife. Meanwhile, his Wife is happily watching over the twin cubs and Cheka is trying to be the best older cousin he can be to the little cubs. Any drawings made by the cubs will be evenly distributed among the Lionesses, lord help anyone who tries to take those drawings away. Leona, Falena, Checka, and Falena's Wife Serabinii all have lockets with a small clipping of the twin cubs' fur inside so they can keep the cubs close to their hearts.

Rook's family is shameless and will often try to take the baby fangs and baby teeth of the Driderlings after they shed them. They will only act shameful is if it is the Human who catches them acting like this, but if it is Rook (or Vil if in a poly relationship) they don't care in the slightest and have zero shame. More often than not, his siblings or his parents (ESPECIALLY Rook's parents) will abscond with one of the 7 Driderlings any time they visit and Rook has to go retrieve them from his family. Where it had been only a handful of family would show up for the holidays or celebrations before the Driderlings, now the ENTIRE family shows up to see the Driderlings. It has become a whole production to see the new family members and The Hunts have never been closer.

Kalim's father is OBSESSED with the new Genie infant and is thrilled that they took so well to the Diamond Lamp. A Genie can only be killed if their lamp is destroyed, so a Diamond Lamp means the new Genie infant may as well be immortal against most other species. Most Genies have quite a bit of magic when they are born, Kalim having the most promising magic from birth (even though he is almost always deadly when making wishes) but the new infant is even stronger than Kalim was as a baby. His hair and nails are equally colorful (with his nails being chips of diamond due to his bond with his Diamond Lamp, like how Kalim's nails are literal gold due to his bond with his golden lamp) and trimmings of the Infant's hair or nails are also high value items that others would kill for.

Papa Hades is so proud and so overjoyed one would think it was HIS infant and not Idia's. He is constantly hovering and wanting to carry the little Shinigami infant at all times, almost all negative effects of his Human-born addiction relieved due to holding the little half-human. Funny thing is, the baby likes Papa Hades more than Idia, but the Human is still the infant's preferred caretaker. As one of the favorites, the Half-Shinigami infant makes all the things for Papa Hades and Papa Hades refuses to share any of these crafted monstrosities.

Vil's Father Eric is absolutely adoring of his little grand-chicks, loving their little fluffy feathers and taking care of these raw-chicken looking hatchlings. He will often be found singing lullabies to the chicks and sleeping by their little cradle-nest with a smile on his face. He is so proud of his son Vil and of these little puff-ball chicks that he will often make soft cooing noises when around them and has already made a photo album of the chicks. Any 'threat' (anyone who isn't Vil, Grim, or the Human) trying to mess with the chicks will have to face off with a furious Eric who will not hesitate to attack and brutalize the interlopers with his talons. 100% has a "World's best Grandpa" mug and will often take the chicks out to the park for a bit of sunshine.

Riddle's mother will try to get back into Riddle's life once she realizes he has had a foal with the Human. Riddle will not hesitate to send her packing or even kill her if she tries to take his Foal by force. Riddle's father is actually the parent Riddle allows in to see his Foal and it helps mend the gap between them made by Riddle's mother. The Clovers- Trey's parents- are the stand in grandparents for Riddle's foal and they adore the Unicorn Foal with all of their hearts.

Malefica and Maleficent are as proud as can be as they adore and nuzzle the Dragon hatchlings. Any shed scales will be kept and split four ways evenly among the three Dragons and the Human. The scales are brightly colored and more valuable than gemstones, so of course the Dragons want to immediately add them to their Hoards. Even the little baby fangs will be added to their respective Hoards. Both female Dragons will have already started individual item hoards for the infants of gemstones that match their scale colors, magestones that match the scale colors, fine cloth, quality metals, and anything else the Hatchlings show interest in. Of the shed baby scales, Maleficent makes four necklaces using the scales as pendants. She keeps one, so she always has the clutch close to her heart, and she give the other three to Malleus, Malefica, and the Human.

Azul's parents adore and spoil the daylights out of the Octo-babies and will buy specially made sea-glass octopus pots for the babies. Not to mention the fact that his parents will brag to EVERYONE that they have beautiful children that inherited so much of the Human's features that they are the beauty of all Merfolk. There are several aquatic Kingdoms/Queendoms that are looking to have the Octo-babies marry into the royal family.

are there any HAE! species that don't have breeding seasons?

Like the shinigamis for example; they live primarily in the Underworld unless Hades lets them go to the Mortal world + they age super slowly AND their pregnancies last 3 years. So it'd make sense for them to just.. never really develop breeding seasons, esp since they aren't animal-based like the others.

and if Shinigamis don't have breeding seasons, are they even affected by the pheromones of those that do?

I remember Idia being a lot calmer than the others when the Human was ovulating, and I feel like Ortho's "should we tell Hades??" was partially a "I think we should get the Human Away for a while" since. y'know. no one would fight fucking Hades just to breed the Human. and the Island of Woe is very safe.

Shinigami do not have a breeding season given the fact that seasons aren't really a thing in Tartarus. Though Papa Hades has been in the living world for longer than most recorded history, he has not developed a breeding season nor have his descendants.

Alternatively, Shadowfolk don't have breeding seasons either and have a similar biological process to the Human in that they have menstrual cycles and times of peak fertility, but no drive to breed/be bred.

yknow what'd be funny - the Human trying to get the HAE! boys to stop worrying about technically-not-healthy-but-not-fatal issues by trying to make them think they're normal (like insomnia, vision momentarily dark after standing up too fast, forgetting to eat [not really an Issue when Literally Everyone is reminding the Human to cook, but Human can still eat less than they technically should], lack of motivation, etc...)

most of them reluctantly believe them bc. they've never met humans, the Human knows more than them. Fae like Lilia & Crowley are suspicious, but most of the habits could be from stress. plus every human is different, maybe this one just can't stand up fast.

Human tries this with Papa Hades without thinking & he just goes 🤨 and starts analyzing literally every habit & physical issue the Human has, regardless of how small, and does his best to fix it all. (He's not going to risk losing the Human just because they don't like people worrying about them)

Getting to the line where Erikir revealed he was going give an egg between him and the HAE!Human to the poachers in exchange for their help had me put my phone down for a minute to process the layers of ick I felt. I'm looking forward to seeing how his royal(pun intended) fuck up is handled in future chapters. Off the top of my head his crimes are;

1. assaulting the human, her kit, and his fellow students in the form of his magic

2. Attempted kidnapping of the human

3. Conspiring with poachers

4. Planning to SA her to they can have children

5. Selling/ trading his child to said poachers

6. Assaulting a fae royalty (even if none of his attacks actually hurt Malleus)

Him being a prince of another school makes him transgressions worse as he represents not just himself but RSA, his people as well as the Coral Sea royal family. I kinda feel bad for them unless they try to pull some "boys will be boys" / he was a prince in love that went about it wrong bs since their going to have to do HEAVY damage control. Not sure how strict the laws on human protection are for them compared to the Queendom of Roses, but I know the staff, Dorm leaders (especially Malleus), Papa Hades, Ambrose, Che'nya, plus Neige are going to demand he face harsh sentencing. I'm hoping somebody smacks the taste buds off of Ambrose for letting him still act as a guard. Something I was curious about if you'd be willing to elaborate on his signature spell as my interpretation is that it paralyzes his targets.

Voiceless Song has several uses. It is meant to paralyze, deafen, and mute those affected. He can either target one person or affect a group by creating a kind of cantrip around a room to keep those impacted in a state of paralysis. If someone is removed from the room affected but the magic is still active, he can choose to either deafen or mute the one affected for a certain amount of time but their paralysis is removed. These effects can be reversed, and Luckily Azul is familiar enough with Erikír to know how to reverse his signature spell.

I'm terribly sorry if this sounds dumb and you already stated it (I'm an idiot and my memory is spotty at best) but you called Hades 'Papa Hades' in a recent post about Mal. Is Hades Mal's father in the HAE AU, or was that more a general statement because Hades is like the watcher of humans?

He is the watcher of humans and his Humans always called him 'papa hades' to the point his own descendants (Idia, Ortho, other Shinigami) call him Papa Hades as well. Malleus' mother and father are dead in the HAE AU. All he really has of them is their magestones

Oi! Can you stop posting things that get stuck in my brain so often? Joking, but I mean a lot of things you bring up a lot of fun ideas in your AU that just stick in my brain. Hope I’m not bugging you too much with messages. However, you have introduced my lil emo catholic boy Rollo so I must ask: how would Rollo and Malleus (and anyone else tied to fire) deal with a fire bug?

Like not necessarily someone who starts fires, but someone who LOVES fire. Like I could stare at fires for hours. They are just so pretty and the flickering and swaying look just look amazing. Imagine all the different colors of fires! Especially when I poke it or have something like a match.

Warnings: Grim and Ortho are platonic only, yanderes, yandere behavior, yandere temper, different levels of yandere, use of magic to amuse the Human, Rollo wrestling with self-loathing, Malleus is malleus,

- Grim is thrilled his Hooman loves his little ear flames and will intentionally make them flare brighter when he wants more attention. Mostly he just uses his ear flames to make them smile.

- Ortho will laugh and be excited to tell the Human about the hair flame many Shinigami have, giving details while he consciously makes his hair slowly change color flame. It takes some effort, but he cycles through the visible light spectrum before he needs to take a break, his hair snap returning to the usual blue. He's happy to tell them all about it, so long as the Human will listen.

- Idia is going magenta and doesn't even know it, warm hearts forming in his long flame hair as he internally fanboys over the Human looking at him with such an interested gaze. The way they stare at the flickering light and flames as he just burns brighter. He loves it and will burn that sight into his memory.

- Papa Hades quickly picks up on the Human's interest in fire and flames, happily using his magic to create flames for them. Different shapes, colors, creatures, he is making a show of fire to marvel at and enjoy. It has been too long since he has last had an audience so enraptured and it soothes his heart.

- Rollo is struggling with himself over this. He dislikes his flame and the fire that fules his very core. Get a bit too out of hand and *poof* gone. That's how he sees it, at least. It is tragically sweet to him for the Human to adore the things he hates most about himself. Leave it to a divine Human to see the good in the wretched and sinful. He will slowly begin allowing his fire to flourish, if only for the Human's sake. He does adore them quite a bit and will willingly do what the Human wishes of him.

- Malleus loves that the Human enjoys his flames. He will show off his mastery over summoned flames and explain how they differ from Dragon-fire which he can only ever create when angry. Any time the Human wants to see his magic displayed, he will create a bright green flame for them. Eventually he will gift them a crystal containing one of his green flames, around it will spin a group of green fireflies. So they can take his flame anywhere they go and always marvel at his fire.
