I'm relistening to I am in Eskew at the same time as the Silt Verses come out and it's so fun seeing ideas introduced in Eskew resurface in TSV, like I just finished ep. 24 and the way the History Society works is so much like our new scary war saint!!! Obsessed
#i love you authors with frightening ideas coming at them from multiple angles#eskew productions you have my whole heart#both shows are obviously very different from each other but i absolutely love the wet gross meatiness of the horror in both#they're also both quite lonely shows imo#different types of lonely- David (saddest wettest little meow meow ever) is alone in a way Carpenter isn't#but Carpenter is so phenomenally lonely in a way that only seems to ho away when she is by herself#Falkner and Riyo are also pretty lonely people but to me it doesn't run as harsh as David and Carpenter#all this to say I adore these strange worlds and their stranger people and the gorgeous prose they're written in#another David/Carpenter parallel- being so deeply loved by a thing that loves wrongly#I'm trying to remember something i heard in a Jacob Geller video about the way houses love their people but they were not designed to love#and so they are haunted instead#anyway that's Eskew and the Trawllerman#also obsessed with the way Faulkner is fratricidally desperate for the Trawllerman to love him as well#and the way Riyo dismisses Eskew out of hand like she simply does not care for the City bc even though David hates Eskew#he cannot help it- he needs to be a part of Eskew he cannot let it go until the end#I'm insane. anyway#i am in eskew#the silt verses#tsv#i don't think there's an acronym for eskew

I actually sculpted this the same day I did baby Bill but I didn’t finish painting him until now. I’ve been working on him on/off for monthssss and I even bought new paint so the reds could be bright enough for his design.

cons of suicide squad kill the justice league: it being a direct continuation of the arkham series feels so weird to me. those games had a good ending and we don’t need more, in fact tacking on more post-batman faking his death feels like a disservice to the original story. i’m not saying a continuation CANT be done, just that i’m not sure what it would take for it to be done right and as of now i don’t have much faith. i think it’d feel better if they didn’t declare this as an official continuation from the arkham series and instead left it as its own separate universe, but maybe they can pull it off. idk.
pros: arkhamverse jason is my absolute favorite version of himself and the fact there’s even a hint of him maybe appearing once has me invested (i am entirely delusional). and also kevin conroy’s last performance as batman!

being neurodivergent is all fun and games until you remember those hourly quote bots on twitter and think well maybe I can't make a bot anymore but I could schedule a few quotes a day, that shouldn't be hard. it sounds fun to have a bunch of quotes of my favorite character Thirteen from hit mobile game Obey Me! and its sequel Obey Me! Nightbringer. and then you think about how arduous collecting the quotes is going to be but she's only been in the games for maybe a year and a half with little screentime and you love collecting things so you start but then you remember that you love collecting things so naturally you have ALL of her screentime in the game and suddenly you have 45k characters of quotes and are several lessons into season 4 (which is truly a trial in and of itself) but not nearly close enough to the end but you refuse to just stop collecting the quotes and make the account with the EXCESS of what you have already because you literally only have season 4 to get through and if you don't do it just seeing the bot (because now you've been informed you can make tumblr bots instead) will haunt you with that knowledge even if nobody else would ever know. this is a general anecdote of a situation that could easily happen to anyone though and not in any way related to my life
