I Miss Him

this is a verrrry short scene i threw together in Notepad + MS Paint, only 375 words. i’ve decided to go a Direction™ with SunClan’s lore, so i may write more scenes like this one. i’ve come up with a lot of lore for these cats, & i hope you guys like them!

Whitetrail sat alone, watching the Flatrocks with a weariness in his eyes. It took him several moments to register the distant rustle of ferns as cat's steps were heard from behind. He did not turn to face her; the evening breeze carried Dawnstripe's scent to him easily. Wordlessly, she leapt up to the rock and sat beside him, tail curling over her paws neatly. For a while they sat in silence, listening to the shushing of the trees of late greenleaf.

"Greenleaf has been kind to us," she commented finally. "The Clan will be plenty ready, come leafbare."

"... Yes."

There's a pause, a long beat of quiet that weighed heavy in the air.

"I know you came out here to check on me..." Whitetrail mewed dryly.

The warrior shifted her paws slightly. "You've been working very hard since... the incident at the Twolegplace. Maybe a bit too hard." She turned to face him, her amber eyes warm in the dying sunlight.

The pale-grey tom grew rigid where he sat. He wasn't a kit; he didn't need her to dance around the topic like this. "Of course I've been working hard," he began to growl, "I'm Clan deputy; it's my job...!" But as he caught the look in her eyes, his anger softened, his tiredness returning to its perch on his shoulders.

Dawnstripe touched her tail to his shoulder. "I'm sure StarClan is watching over him, wherever he is," she whispered.

"But how will he ever find his way home? We barely made it out of there ourselves! He's all alone!" Aching sadness pulled at his meow, tearing down the walls he put up to shield his Clanmates from his sorrow, to show strength in such uncertainty. But now, in the presence of one of his senior warriors, he could stand to hold them no longer.

"But he is not alone," she mewed, and her voice was steady and kind — though he could smell her fear-scent. "StarClan is with him. StarClan will bring him home."

Longing like claws ripped through Whitetrail. I miss him, he thought, I miss him now. I miss my brother. And as he gazed up to the first stars of Silverpelt, he sent his heart to StarClan. Please... please bring Ghoststar home.

how is bramblepaw’s characterization since it is shown that bramblestar is an actively bad person instead of “oh he’s a good guy uwu” while he is 100% fine with letting kits die for some land

Something I want to say with my rewrite, but I'm not sure how, is that power is an amplifying sort of force. Someone who's a pretty... normal sort of bad can do a LOT more harm without even meaning to, when power is added to the mix.

But I'm not sure how to show that, in the story itself.

Bramblepaw

Anyway, Bramblepaw is just a kid. He's a kid and Darkstripe sneaks him out to meet his dad, only to find out his dad's a horrible murderer. He sees violent death at a young age; Runningwind, then his older brother Swiftpaw.

Firestar takes him as an apprentice, only for Bramble to find out he did it because he's always been suspicious of him. That nice man he met, Leader of ShadowClan, the one who smiled and looked at you with such love, he's the reason why you don't see Mr. Runningwind anymore. That's why Cousin Cinderpelt's leg hurts in bad weather. That's why the whole Clan looks at you like that.

All the while, Tigerstar is demanding his children, since ThunderClan couldn't protect his oldest. Bramblepaw has only ever known fear and distrust from a very young age.

I imagine that the real turning point of his life was watching Tawnypaw leave. He had his cousins, he had his mom, but something about watching her vanish into the night... he felt so alone. He felt like he lost something that he will never get back.

Suffering doesn't make you a better person, it just hurts. Every horrible thing that Bramble does is in some desperate attempt to prevent people from leaving him, or to not "lose" something. Respect, Clanmates, Lovers...

Bramblestar

So, power. He never should have had it.

As a regular warrior the sort of damage he can do is limited. Think to the time in TNP when Squirrelflight broke up with him and he acted like a dick to her for several chapters. It was shitty, but AT MOST he could just embarrass her in front of her mom and yell at her a lot.

Tweak the writing a bit so that the Clan isn't completely oblivious to this being an abusive dynamic, and Squilf could have found a lot of support here.

But add power to the mix, and Bramble's mind games suddenly encompass the entire Clan. In Canon Squirrelflight's Hope, you can SEE the cycle of abuse taking place, the same way you see it in TNP. But this time, Squilf disobeying her husband also means disobeying the Clan Leader. Every political action she takes is also an action that affects her romantic life.

So it's not necessarily that Bramblestar is best described as, 'ok with letting the kits die for some land.' It's not about the land. It's about controlling Squirrelflight. It's about proving to himself that she won't make him lose face, that she won't make him lose control of his clan, and also, that no matter WHAT he does or decides, that he won't lose her as well.

EVERYTHING gets lost in pursuit of that goal. Everything. The personhood of the sisters, the kits, the well being of the Clan at large.

"Why are you doing this to me?!" He shouts, when Squirrelflight is trying to save the life of a dying cat by preventing him from intimidating a medic. He's only thinking about himself.

That's it. That's the motivation. He's not a Machiavellian psychopath who thinks baby-eating is cool. It's carelessness. It's selfishness. It's control.

Everything gets lost in the pursuit of what he wants. He's just a mediocre manchild who failed upwards, and an incompetent leader looks an awful lot like a malicious one.

Rewrite

He actually doesn't become deputy in Bonefall TNP. It's a sudden choice that Firestar makes after Brackenfur shows up dead, and shortly after that Bramblestar is thrust into power.

I think his best moment in my rewrite is right after he fights Hawkfrost to save Firestar, when he agrees that he needs to step down, and serves as a faithful warrior for a while.

That's the moment in his life when he does the most introspection, and is probably the healthiest and happiest version of Bramble that he will ever be. It's short-lived, as it all comes crashing down by the end of Po3... but for a few years, he was just Brambleclaw, Normal Guy.

Idk. I think about him a lot. They should invent cat therapy and study his fucked up little kitty brain.

The only time I felt a major arc in Boruto(anime wise. The manga is its own can of worms)was genuinely bad and didn’t make sense was the Mist Village vs Eco Pirates, especially as they threw cycle of revenge BOTH SIDES in even though the Eco Pirates were legit insane and their arguments don’t make sense that one of them sought ReVeNgE because his sister was hurt when Boruto protected himself in SELF-DEFENSE and killed herself in a hospital room by taking off all the tubes giving her fluids and KEEPING HER ALIVE! She was such an irrational spiteful human being who killed herself out of hate but clearly it’s Borutos fault! That he didn’t let her kill him!

Even the oldest son of the Eco Pirates leader who had been raised to believe his father was the only way to protect their clan realized his father was insane and was murdered by his father when he tried to make peace with the Mist because his father was just a spiteful mosnter and their mom was an idiot that died in battle on board a ship when the pirates were RAIDING MIST SHIPS. It was just genuinely stupid.

I think stuff like Naruto’s failings leading to things being worse in areas, like letting the Mist collapse despite being so physically close in location to Konoha and the Fire Country, or him not trusting people the way he does Kakashi or Sasuke, especially as he had no real answer to making things better in Naruto itself, makes sense.

The "both sides uwu" or "cyle of hatred sad uwus" argument, especially how it is depicted in this general verse really pisses me so much and is one of the reasons I vastly prefer 1st gen to the fuckery that was shippuden, and later, as you pointed out, Boruto (I haven't watched those episodes, but reading the wiki about them makes me puke lol)

At least, in the 1st Gen, when Gaara wants to "hurt" the world because his crap dad tried to kill him, Gaara is only 12 and not in the best mental state thanks to Shukaku being an ass, and is proven wrong, which prompts his change.

Shippuden?

Nagato got his uwu moment to justify his "both sides" plan, because his random parents died in a war so in return he will bring "Tru Piss" to the world even if it means leveling a village full of randoms bcs he's pissed at Tsunade telling him to stop acting like a fucking brat and starting more conflicts that cause more and more senseless random's deaths.

(and then the dude nukes the village, including Ramen Guy and his daughter, to make a point or something)

but everything is alright uwu, since he rez everyone and we're supposed to follow Naruto's mindset, about the guy having had a point or something and the "uwu cycle of hatred that somehow includes killing people who haven't done a thing to you because they exist and it's not your fault if you had to slaughter them :("

(that's why, despite its own faults, I think BC is vastly superior, at least with this scene - Asta doesn't kill Patry when he reveals his tragic backstory and despite emphasing with him, he still punches him bcs dude, you killed a bunch of randoms who never asked for anything in your stupid plans)

Madara was the best example with his "wah wah, Hashirama y u kill me, i thought we could understand each other, see u and I are the same we kill because we can't understand each other :'(" after repeatedly attacking the Leaf, and all of its randoms, with Kurama many times.

As for those episodes you've mentionned -

And lol @ his randoms friends for apparently wanting to ditch and betray him after they heard they would only get a 3 years reduction of their sentence, that they got, iirc, from the previous arc where they killed randoms and attempted a coup against the Mist???

Again, it's the general trend within that crap verse of giving more fucks to the perpetrators than to the victims - you can't fucking kill people and expect to get away with a slap on the wrist ; 1st gen Gaara understood it and swore to protect the people of Suna, as the Kazekage, to make up for what he used to do and what he used to be, which ends beautifuly with his final scene in the Deidara battle, and is corrected when he "wakes up" - aka his entire village loves him now (even if the later chapters of Shippuden try to retcon this in a Naruto wankering fest).

Anyways, iirc, one of those random dude in this filler killed Kagura by stabbing him after taking him hostage? And Boruto'n'co effectively dropped their weapons to comply to the dude's demands?

And then Boruto apparently goes in "rawr revenge mode" by pummeling randoms and nearly killing a kid, because that's totes how revenge works, I mean have you seen the old Chiyo pummeling Sakura to death because she comes from the same village as Sakumo? (and I'm pretty sure she was faking trying to attack Kakashi during her "senility" scene, because she didn't use any of the techniques she uses against Sasori!!)

Forget trying to build up or shoehorn an "uwu cycle of hatred uwu BaD uwu" with third rate characters in a third rate filler using a convoluted plot on how "killing terrorists BaD because their families will hate you afterwards :("

Why don't we have any samurai going to Konoha and having a beef with Sarada because Sasuke killed some of them during the land of iron arc? Like Pedro the Samurai's daughter, or niece, or grand-daughter ? I legit thought the samurai girl character would be something like this, but no, she's just pure filler material.

It's not a fair comparison at all, but I was re-re watching FMAB a few days ago, and I vastly prefer the "cycle of revenge" and Scar's general arc to whatever Kishimoto and whoever the fuck works on Boruto tried to give us.

Kishi's world is stupid enough to apparently make everyone accept Naruto's decisions even if those same decisions, if they were made by anyone else or during the Shippuden Era (or even the first gen), would have declared several wars or have been criticised to oblivion.

At least, the later manga reveals he is a shit hokage, even Shikamaru shits on him - and he receives the worst punishment ever, being fridged with "the woman who makes diner in his home" lol

As someone with an interest in the Dark Brotherhood I'd love to hear more about Shatha and how she wound up as the Listener.

Well hello there fellow Dark Brotherhood enjoyer! >:3c I'm so very glad you asked! Shatha's journey becoming the Listener is . . . a bit of a long one. She was born in Black Marsh to Jamuwei and Pashha under the sign of the Shadow. Normally, that means her parents should've turned her over to the government to become a Shadowscale . . . . but this ultimately did not happen. Instead, her parents fled Black Marsh, and were on the run for many years until they settled in the peaceful town of Falkreath. Little did they know that this would have consequences. Shatha heard the Night Mother's whispers as a child, although she couldn't decipher them. It was then that Sheogorath saw the potential for some truly hilarious content and granted Shatha the ability to be haunted by voices all the time. Her strange behaviour led to one of the local kids bullying her, who she then killed. After that incident, her parents were worried about what to do. But Sheo's voices convinced our young impressionable Argonian that her parents were against her! So she murdered them too, and then fled from Falkreath. It wasn't long before she ended up in a clan of bandits for several years and grew attached to a certain redhead. It was during this time that Shatha managed to get her hands on Hist Sap and ingested it in order to become the woman that she always was inside--hence her very bright colours! But alas, eventually the redhead left to chase after revenge, and without her role model, Shatha grew tired of the bandits. After she murder their leader to send a message, she stumbled across Cicero and his damned wagon. She helped him, of course, but not before the farmer irritated and insulted her. She ended up murdering him and his wife that night, then was contacted by a member of the Dark Brotherhood and given an invitation to join the family. The questline then proceeds, mostly, as presented in-game, with some details changed that I haven't fully thought through as of yet [this is what happens when I'm drowning in one fanfiction passion project that takes over my life and doesn't allow for other characters to fully flourish]. I do think that, after the Night Mother reveals Shatha as the Listener, that Sheogorath visits her dreams just to tell her it was fun but that he's still going to leave her with the very silly voices, because why not? I watched My Adventures with Superman. Pt. 2

Things have been brought to my attention (because whenever anyone brings up that show I see red). People have argued that the story actually follows the romance between Clark and Lois and isn't meant be primarily seen as a Superman story. Sorry I just, completely disagree with that. As much as I'd like the show to be able to be primarily about Lois and Clark, it's a Superman show; it's called My Adventures with Superman; not The Romantic Adventures of Lois and Clark. Couldn't even say Lois is the main character and that the title is from her perspective because it's very clear that this is still Superman/Clark Kent's story. So me going into the show with no expectations but wanting a superhero story, and getting a romance with some superhero sprinkled in was immensely disappointing. That said, from what I could tell the only thing that was motivating Clark to discover his powers (which I don't think he's ever had to do past the age of 15 in any other iteration of Superman) is his love for Lois, which is now explained.

I was also told that Jimmy's character is well done because it loses the gap between Clark and his human friends and coworkers, but Jimmy and Lois aren't meant to be a little less powerful, they're meant to have way more of a gap between them and Clark because Clark has to go be Superman, and having them so tightly knit takes away from his Supermanness. A character that only reacts to situations isn't adding to the story or improving those around him, as a main character should do.

Clark being an uwu kitten himbo takes so much from his character as a sweet but noble person.

The plot is not well formulated, and it's definitely not a slow burn. From what I watched, the "slow burn" of Kryptonian lore stems from the fact that Clark literally can't understand what Jor-el is saying and not much else. That's not a slow burn, that's just creating a barrier between the character and his own story. Maybe it's later developed, but they don't show Clark as much more than a lovesick himbo puppy; personally I think he's more than that, even at the beginning of his Superman story.

It's clearly not an episodic series, or if it is then they're doing a horrible job. Each episode leads into the next, and the storyline continues. Just because Superman fights a new villain doesn't mean it's episodic. I'd be happy if the new takes made sense, but making all the villains just preteens with tech is so boring. Silver Banshee's backstory: she was born into a Gaelic clan who's firstborn undergo a ritual to prove themselves a worthy clan leader. While on a world journey of some kind, her father dies and her uncle deems her unworthy of being clan leader as a girl, so she does the ritual by herself, but is interrupted by said uncle, and sent to the underworld by the demons who were helping her with the ritual. She is granted passage back to Earth to find an old occult book. She then runs into Superman whilst on a killing spree and fails to get the book, but remains a Superman villain. Her powers include supernatural strength and endurance, as well as her famous "death scream", which effectively kills whoever hears it if she knows their name. Now, isn't that way more interesting than what this show put out for her; a trouble making preteen who's constantly fighting with her dumb brother and his friends whilst trying to get Intergang off the ground with her tech helmet that gives her essentially the same powers as Shriek from 'Batman Beyond'.

Stemming from this, why does the superpowered hero not have any superpowered villains? A non-superpowered hero with superpowered villains makes sense because the dynamic makes the hero (the one the audience is rooting for) the underdog. To make non-superpowered villains against a superpowered hero make sense the hero has to be considerably weaker, which just ruins the point of Superman.

I love writing my favorite character from different show differently than the canon version of them. Not them turn to uwu kind of thing... But I just made them worse.

Oh, my favorite character is an orphan and have achieved what everyone doubt him to achieve and he also mostly influenced by some rule book. He also been taken take of by his uncle that he doesn't even know about and then have met his mother in his uncontrollable state. Then he got turn back into a human but also had a power upgrade to defeat the villain. Now we just wait for next season for him to finally know how and why his mom become evil, alongside he will know he has a brother— *GET SHOOTED*

Anyway, I turn him to a gentle and caring leader, of course he is, and yet, have an anger issues problem. How he shows his anger is through a smile, like how your parents look at your failing grade in disappointment— He can be sassy when he wants to and very sly when he wants to and need to as well. Please let him have sass, even if I don't think he can...

Oh, my favorite character have a doubt of his family love towards him. Have an inferiority complex. Feel useless unless he did do something for his brothers. Have a doubt of his father's love towards him again. Always hiding his real emotions with a facade of "FaceMan". Thinks he better off gone if he's family make it out alive.

I am writing him as an insecure boy but still have a facade of that "FacaMan" of his. Yes, he do have inferiority complex. Yes, he sometimes makes a face that he really did think he did something bad but he can easily shifted it to make it look like it's not a big deal. He still think his brother would make a better leader than him.

Oh, my favorite character gets the most hated of the show I've watched. Everyone said he is manipulative and used people to get what he wants. Oh, he kill his best friend. Oh, he used the mc to do his dirty work. Everyone said he always get in the way of mc and mc's best friend/lover—

Shut the fuck up. Out of all the character I've seen, he is like, the most human out of all of them. Sure he fucked up, but hey, human did. Not every human is perfect. Not to mention, he is literally in the family that known to be scum and a lowlife to the entire family clan. He is being mistreated differently by every single person that's from the upper side of the family. He also being manipulated, and used. Does he know? Yes. Did he do anything about it? FUCK NO! Out of all the character, I've seen. His not a human to begin with and yet he is a human! He also being warned his the one who's going to start the apocalypse/end of the world, and yet, he still did it even if he knows. He didn't care about anyone else, he didn't care about those people who have hurt him, he only cares about his friends and his family alone. That's what he care the most–

• Humans vs Mechanical creatures

• Humans are tribal-like but apocalyptic with some incredibly advanced technology 

• Creatures are based on animals

• There is a clan of creatures, 5 members, Purple (leader), Yellow, and two others not shown (including Sun and Moon, that's 5)

Sun is like some kind of big cat, Moon is like a dragon (they cute brothers uwu) (think murder drones like anatomy, with like the detached limbs and stuff)

• Reader is a human, a part of the main tribe.

• Humans are trying to protect their cattle from the creatures.

• The creatures hunt the human's cattle for survival (or for an unknown reason)

Organic animals are aware of the situation and aid the humans as well as their own species

• There are cats (2) as well as hyenas that survey the area around the Human's house in search of any creature sightings.

Y/N gets the idea to go undercover to get information on the creatures about their plans, way of life, etc.

Y/N goes to this machine in the human house and makes a VR-like headset. To everyone but the creatures, they look human. To the creatures, Y/N looks like one of them, a cheetah-like creature.

Inside the creature's clan/camp, they rest on a shelf. Unaware of two creatures watching them from afar, Sun and Moon. As Y/N is called to talk with the leader, they leap down from their place and begin conversing inaudibly.

Cut to Sun and Moon still watching, they keep their eyes targeted on the cheetah (Y/N), they know it's a human, they know it's the one they've been watching every time they've gone out hunting. Seeing them here, in their territory…. It's unsettling. The two mutter to each other, 'should we do something?', 'what can we do? They're here, they're walking dangerously.', 'we have to do something, they'll be killed!', 'no.. at least not yet, the others haven't caught on like we have.'

FLASHBACK

The humans have grown annoyed with these creatures living in their woods. They've set a lure, an ambush is prepared. Now they wait.

Sun and Moon have been set on another hunt, requested by their leader. As nice as food is, it's exhausting to search for. They've treaded for who knows how long, Moon spots something in the tall green brush, a carcass, strangely placed. He points it out to Sun, his partner excitedly acknowledging the easy food. 'It must be from the humans! An offering maybe?', 'I don't trust it. What reason would they have to give anything to us, what have we done?'.

'Well… Maybe they want to take the first step.', 'Maybe..' Sun and Moon silently agree and trudge through the grass, the tips barely reaching half of them.

Once they close, they've been caught! Arrows strike them, handmade ropes are thrown, holding them down, but it's not enough, both the celestials swish their sharpened tails and swiftly slice through the weaved binding.

Rather than fighting, they retreat, leaving the corpse behind, the humans feel victorious, cheering and taking the deer home themselves. No point in wasting good food, after all.

Hemptrail - fluffy black tom with white markings

Family: Skunkwhisker (mother, deceased), Beechroot (littermate) Gender / Sexuality: tom / pansexual  Personality: big brother vibes, will let you sleep with him if you have a nightmare, good listener, big teddy bear Backstory: Raised by two loving parents with his littermate Beechroot, Hemptrail is a big sweetheart. The den proclaimed big brother when he was an apprentice, now as a warrior, his clanmates still look at him like that. The den big brother, his clanmates never feel awkward about nuzzling against his fluffy fur on a cold night. Sometimes he is woken up by younger warriors who have had a bad dream, and he’ll let them curl up against his belly to sleep off the fear.  Such soft daddy energy, Hemptrail awaits the moment he will have kits of his own. He’s a solid warrior, well liked by the clan, and there’s no doubt he will live to give advice to the leader until he retires to the elder den. He has this wise gentle energy about him. Ideal Partner: shecat who wants kits, the queen looking for the next dad for her litter, the older apprentice who is so sweet on this guy, the medicine cat apprentice who has nightmares uwu Position | Clan: Warrior | Smokeclan

Beechroot - long haired dark grey tom with white markings

Family: Skunkwhisker (mother, deceased), Hemptrail (littermate) Gender / Sexuality: tom / submissive lol Personality: for some reason offputting, resting evil face on accident, always deep in thought, really bad at socializing for some reason, goes “oop” when he does something good cuz he doesn’t want to scare other cats, really the biggest sweetheart once you get to know him, just gushy insides  Backstory: Younger brother to Hemptrail, Beechroot was like his shadow. Beechroot wished cats flocked to him like they do his brother. Hemptrail is just louder, more social, more dominant when in a crowd, Beechroot just… isn’t. He’s quiet, he does as he’s told, he keeps to himself. Beechroot never knows what to say when someone asks his opinion on a gossip topic. He follows the warrior code, and that’s about it.  With an “admiration” for strong warriors, Beechroot isn’t often turned down when he offers to join a patrol or hunting party. He’s a little fanboy for the senior warriors or those who have pushed further than the average warrior to be noticed. If you’re someone looking for attention, Beechroot can give it to you.  He’s a really big sweetheart like his brother but thanks to his lack of a social presence cats are often put off when they first meet him. It takes a bit to get used to him. oh jesus christ where to start.

so. ok.

when this guy was just a little kitty his mom died and he was told to get revenge for that. when he was a less little kitty he was reaaally pining after this girl squirrelflight and they were in a relationship and he was overprotective and coddling towards her so she left him to be with her ex brambleclaw who she had a fight with previously but had now been resolved. ashfur did. not. like that. he meets this charming gay cat named hawkfrost and they plot a scheme to kill the leader but he chickens out at the end and hawkfrost dies. years later squirrelflight has gotten three babies and one of those got apprenticed to ashfur and ashfur promptly tried to kill the little baby kitten because he’s mean. once more years later. boom. fire. squirrelflight and her kittens who were adults now wanted to get over but ashfur took an opportunity and blocked their path and was like “haha im emo and now you’re gonna feel the pain i felt bcs you friendzoned me 20 years ago by killing your children” and SQUIRRELFLIGHT pulls a fucking power move and tells him they’re not her children and he’s like “oh. ok i’m gonna reveal your secret about that then” and let’s them pass and later on one of her children kills him by the lake so he won’t tell.

he went to cat heaven for, quote: “loving too much”. but he decided that that sucked so he decided to find this small boy named shadowsight that nobody liked and groomed him to be his messenger. he hit this little boy with lightning and said that there are codebreakers (these cats follow a code) that needs to be rid of pretending to be starclan. he then tells the boy to kill brambleclaw who is now leader to save him and when brambleclaw loses one of his lives ashfur snatches his body and for a while pretends to be him with being a bitch towards squirrelflight and punishing and hurting any cat he views as a “code breaker” for even the most minor of offenses. he grooms another child to be his spy and there starts to build a resistance against him including squirrelflight. she fakes her death so he’ll get of her case and he starts a war over that so that happens and then he gets hurt and they realize that oh. that’s not brambleclaw is it.

he gets put in the medicine den and is planned to be killed but escapes just in time because squirrelflight couldn’t kill the body of her mate and he pulls her into hell. yes. literally.

in hell he’s like “uwu you have nowhere to go can we date :3” and she just fucking RUNS for it. in this hell he is able to control the spirits that have gone there and he has also blocked the path between cat heaven and hell so that the clans haven’t been able to communicate for so long.

he double dies by being drowned with another cat, uh this is the cliffnotes version btw there’s a lot. checking the crimes on his villains wiki page is the funniest thing ever. so yeah. ashfur. what a man

Colorcoded!leo lore : -Leo is SUPER tactile with his family and loved ones (including casey and april) -Whenever he can he touches them, especially when talking to them. He does a lot of surprise hugs for no reason other than :)!!!! love!!!! -Leo is tactile to show affection but doesn't say it much, if not ever. -So about the tactile thing, imagine in an important discussion, he would touch the shoulder or get close to whoever he's talking to, without even thinking it -if he can't get to whoever he's talking to for whatever reason, he fidgets a bit instead -Leo is still the leader, and is supposed to be responsible and keeps the others in order but herd mind does wonder and if they get the Silly™️ then he usually goes with them to do something stupid. -Except when they get the Silly™️ he still is pretty good at what he does, and in battle is pretty much 2012 Leo. However unlike 2012 Leo he sucks at strategizing, it's more Donnie's field. -He's super into Japanese's culture, because he feels like it's his roots and he wants to respect that as much as possible (hence why his ouftit is the most classic), and he often talks to Splinter about it to get to learn more. He really hopes he'll be able to go to Japan one day, and eventually meet the rest of the Hamato clan. -Leo is also extremely supportive of his brothers, and tries his best to pull them up. -He listens to Donnie's ranting about science or fantastical books, even if he usually truly understands like half of it, sometimes he link 2+2 and goes "oh, like when you told me about [thing]" and donnie gets really happy and like :D!!!!! YEAH!!!!! Exactly !!! -He oftens hang out in Mikey's room when his brother is painting, reading a book or playing on his phone, because Mikey likes to have commentary on his work as it progresses. -If Raph comes to him to spar, he usually drops whatever he's doing and goes with him and they train for a bit. Of course Leo does not let him win UwU but it means that whenever Raph DOES win, he knows it's for real and he always gets a big boost of confidence -I can't believe I deadass forgot that but remember Mikey's embroidery on the bois' stuff ? Donnie was like "sure do the mask" Raph was also like "sure do the mask" and then like most of his mask got ripped off and there was no more place to embroidery there so mikey did the belt Leo was like "sure do the mask" so Mikey did the mask and assumed that was it and then leo went :) and gave him his belt and Mikey was like :D!!!!!!! -Leo and Raph are twins so they tend to fight for stuffs, but they have a strong bond and they often go to eachother if they need to talk about stuff (and not let Splinter know) -Leo and Donnie get along great and have tons of talks about everything and nothing. -Leo just gets along with everyone - Leo is very invested in Japanese's culture and tries to learn as much from it as possible, and that includes japanese tv shows. Leo is ESPECIALLY excited about this universe's sailor moon equivalent. Mikey and Raph doesn't get it, Mikey because he feels like it doesn't make sense and it's badly written and HE COULD DO BETTER- and Raph because. Raph. However DONNIE didn't expect to get as invested as he is. But he is. Somehow. -Leo only has 1 sword -Leo and Mikey together are disaster children. Do not leave them alone in a room. Seriously. -Leo is a TERRIBLE liar and cannot act for shit either -If there’s has to be ONE moment where he lies good, it would be if anyone from his family is in instant danger of death. And even then it would be a small lie. -Leo is the eldest brother with Raph, his technically-twin -Leo LOVES the show Tanako no Ichi and loves to rant about it with Donnie

Colorcoded!Mikey lore : -This Mikey loves to paint and has been doing so since he was 7 -Ice cream kitty is there and it's literally a copy-paste of 2012 because she's perfect -i would also like to precise that the bag you can see in the ref holds a sketchbook and a pencil and an eraser and literally 0 ninja stuff the ninja stuff is in another bag -mikey stands his ground a lot against raph so they just argue a lot more than in most versions (they still love eachother, still bro) -ninja is a hobby artist is his job -He has done all the embroidery present on everyone’s design. He just takes their stuff and sew. -Mikey and Raph fight more than the others, because Raph often goes to far with the teasing, but they still would die for eachother :) -Leo and Mikey are disaster children. Colorcoded!Raph lore : -Raph has a pet named Buckle, and she’s a mouser mutated with a dog. -Raph is still angry boi but he is way more contained than in 2012, and if he feels rage and wants to blow up to his brothers, he brutally leaves the room and go play a video game to let out some steam. He uses training and night patrol to let his anger run free, while still being kinda controlled so he doesn't do anything stupid (at first it wasn't contained and mikey got hurt. he felt very guilty and didn't go to training or patrol for a while after that, staying with Splinter to try and control his anger better. once he felt like he was in control enough, he went back with his bros) -Since he plays video games whenever he's angry, and he's angry very very often, he's REALLY good at it. any games in the lair ? played 'em, beat 'em, next. When he was smaller, he used to rage and break the game/console if he failed at any point in the game. He later realized that it wasn't super smart and it mostly just ruined any chances he had of doing better. So he got a punching ball in his room and everytime he rages he gets up and go hit that instead. -More often than not, when Leo does his surprise hug, Raph pushes him away. -He likes to hang out in Donnie's lab while he's working, talking to him about stuff unless Donnie REALLY needs to focus and he gets kicked out. -He loves to tease Mikey, and if he goes to far, he gets scolded by the latter anyway, so since he can stand his ground, he doesn't see a problem with it and keeps doing it. -When the team gets down and desesperate, Raph is usually the one to get them back up and get the team running again. -He's usually super tough and ):< Except when there's an animal (non-mutated) nearby, and then he gets <3   which his brothers never hesitate to tease him for. Jokingly, of course, since they don't want to shame his soft side into hiding. -he's super nice and soft and gentle with animals, researching what they need to doing his best to take care of them, eventually scolding the others if they do it wrong. -With Donnie, he's the most stubborn out of all of them, and he's difficult to reason with. He doesn't like to be proven wrong and has difficulty accepting it. -Donnie and Raph get along great as long as Raph doesn't get angry™️ and Donnie doesn't go on a rant -Raph and Donnie are used to monitoring their bros when they’re alone together so they don’t accidentally take down a building or kill themselves -Raph loves gossip and does not hide it. He likes to hear about the shenanigans going on in Casey’s and April’s highschool.

Colorcoded!Donnie lore : -Donnie loves to read both science books and fantastical books. -Donnie likes the complete unhinge style of it, and it really allows him a break from science, like these two can NOT cross. -Shelldon is there in this version, but he's different first, he's non-verbal second his design is based on a dragon with a turtle shell it's like shell-dragon but shellgon sounds terrible so he put a d in there. of course you completely lose the aspect of shell-dragon, and he refuses to admit it because he's extremely stubborn, but his brothers tease him a lot about it -so it's a tiny robot dragon with a shell on his back boom, shelldon also he can fly but not by using his wings traditionally. it's like he open the wings and he has propellers inside of them and boom like a drone, like rise!shelldon - Okay so unlike most of the fucking donnies who are "scIeNtIsT" and suddenly they can do everything- Can you tell this pissed me off.-- it's like he's an "arRisTE" and bitch can play any instruments, paint, draw, sculpt, and all at like college levelthAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS FFS- So unlike most of the donnies, Colorcoded!Donnie is an Engineer, which means he can build stuff That's his FIELD. OMEGAVERSE PART FOUR

Part 3 - part 4 -part five

Uwu

The clan leaders could never agree on anything except for two things.

The first being their love for their siblings.

The second was that they both wanted (name) more than anything.

They couldn't even understand why they were so obsessed with the Omega, anyone else who dare talk to them like that would be dead within seconds but they let him just order them around and give them shit.

It was invigorating.

His home destroyed and those who harmed him either devoured or killed for sport.

With no grey area the brothers decided to bring him to the one place they both felt safe at.

The Black Dragons estate.

(Name) slept in a trance in Mikey's arms, nothing in his home salvageable as the respective clans flew to their destination and their demonic forms fully present.

Shinchiro was shocked when he heard that not just his brothers but their respective clans were coming, he quickly had arrangements for them made as his Alpha watched amused at the beta who fretted over everything as he sensed them at the Gates....with a human.

"Waka...do you sense that?" Shinchiro asked slowly as his mate nodded before standing and wrapping his arm around the black haired man's waist "let's figure out what those idiots did, yeah?" Wakasa said softly, kissing his mates cheek before they made their way to the entrance of them Manor where his brothers checked on a sleeping human... wait.

An Omega?

A male Omega was practically unheard of.

The two were in shock as they watched the two men fret over the sleeping Omega, the sweet little thing lay helplessly in Mikey's arms "Manjiro...what happened?" Shinchiros voice broke the two Alphas from their fretting to stare at their older brother "we needed a middle ground...humans tried to take him away from us" mikeys voice was soft as he allowed the eldest to come near the Omega "you are all trying to claim him as your mate?" Wakasa was a little stunned but knew the affects an Omega could have on Alphas and these men were no exception...unmated Alphas all vying for one male omegas attention.

Was hilarious honestly.

"Let's get him some nice soft things, he's gonna wanna nest when he awakens" Shinchiro said looking over the Omega, this wasn't any of the Sanos first experience with an Omega as their sister was Infact an Omega herself.

"You both know the drill yes? Take him to a guest room and try to avoid scenting any items for his nest...we don't know how he will be when he awakens" Shinchiros voice resonated through each alpha in the area as he led roughly thirty or so men within the walls of the clans estate, a few upper members of the clan poking their heads out to see what the commotion was.

Three little heads poked out from behind Benkeis legs, all in awe at the large Alphas walking towards the guest area.

"Uncle iza and uncle Mikey are here!" Takemichi said excitedly as he glanced at his two packmates Hajime and Seishu who both had stars in their eyes at their uncle's and their packs who walked with such power and dignity, they were so cool!

Takemichi, Hanjime and Seishu were the youngest in any of the familial clans, the boys only the sweet age of 100 or so but physically they seemed almost the age of five and gosh were they darlings.

"Do you think uncle Mikey and uncle Iza will tell us stories?" Seishu asked shyly while clinging to Hajimes robes with big doe eyes and Takemichi nodded, blue eyes filled with nothing but pure certaincy as the small children followed the clan leaders, curiously staring at the person they were holding oh so carefully.

(Name) snuggled into warm blankets and pillows, eyes blearily opening to a room he was unfamiliar with and no longer mentally present as his omega took over to keep him safe from any harm.

He couldn't recognize the scents or the ornate room he was set in as the omega began releasing his scent in the air to mark it as his own and to ward off any unwanted guests.

Eyes dilated he began examining the room for any danger and when deemed safe, he began hoarding blankets and such in the walk in closet, tossing any materials that didn't look or feel right to him and scenting every article that would go into his nest.

Mikey and Izana sat Infront of their brother and his mate, tea served before the clan leaders "so care to explain what happened and why you are both fighting over the poor thing?"

Mikey and Izanas glared at each other slighly before explaining each side of their stories before colliding into one anothers stories and delving into the time with the omega...then the town and now here.

"Can't say I blame him, coming in with not even a courting gift and what? Destroying his life?" Shinchiro chastised the two who hung their heads in shame, accepting the chastising from the elder with a pout "you both are acting like pups fighting over a toy!"

"You are lucky Emma is with her mate and not here!"

"Mikey! Iza!" The pup trio giggled out as they ran into the room and affectively saving the brothers from more scolding from the black dragons leader "my my, haven't you three grown" Izanas tone was soft as he and Mikey allowed the children to climb on them though seishu much shyer than the other two and rapid firing questions at the men, Wakasa butting in "they can't answer if you keep asking, pups" the pups puffing their cheeks out at his words before looking at the two alphas expectedly before speaking "did you see anything cool? And who was the pretty man?" Hajime asked softly and fiddled with his sleeves slighlty at the men's fond looks "we so so many cool things that we will tell you for story time tonight yes? And if all goes well that pretty man will be my mate" Izana said sweetly and Mikey glared at him "he's my mate" with a cold tone as the alphas stared each other down.

The pups looked between the alphas confused, why are they arguing about who hes mated to? "But mama said sharing is caring?" Takemichi said softly, pointing to his adoptive parent Shinchiro who in turn took everything not to bust out laughing.

"Well it's not that easy pup" Izana said softly to the three tots who looked confused at his words "why not?" Seishu asked with a slight head tilt "because he has to choose who he wants to go with, they can't force him" Shinchiro said soothingly as the pups waddled towards the clans leader, the one they appointed as "mama" as they didn't really have parents of their own.

Pups abandoned by their Omegan parents to die, found by the black dragons clan and raised as one of their own.

Through Shinchiro would have preferred being called papa... Can't win em all though.

The children though over Shinchiros words before nodding in understanding "then shouldn't you be with him?" Hajime asked curiously at the Alphas "he's sleeping right now pup, he's been through a lot"

"No he's not"

"What?"

"I heard him moving when I walked past"

The Alphas gently set the pups down before running out of the room to the omegas quarters, pushing each other out of the way to get there before one another.

Mikey gently knocked on the door before both Alphas slowly entered, the scent of the omega strong in the air and almost made the two drunk off it alone as they noticed the slightly opened closet door and both Alphas knelt before the door, crooning and releasing their scent as the door cracked open.

Through the deep haze of his Omega, (name) recognized the scents of the Alphas he had grown used to and slowly opened the door but didn't leave his nest and stared at them frightened but not because of them but rather the fact that the omega didn't know where the fuck he was.

"Hello Omega... Don't worry you're safe now" Mikey crooned gently and released more relaxing pharamones in the air, their eyes never leaving the omegas blown out ones "we will keep you from harm" Izana said watching the omega slowly process their words "you don't have to worry that pretty little head of yours any longer"

The room smelt like cinnamon pastries and (scent), soothing the Omega to slowly come out more though hesitantly and inspect the Alphas before him as the milky sweet smell of pups hit his nose "pup pup pup" (name) chanted quietly, did they have pups?

Did they have a mate already?

Though (name) was still very much deciding if he was going to be a pack omega, his poor omega struggled to choose between the clans, finding the fact that so many Alphas desiring him quite fun and if they had the option they would choose both sides.

Though (name) himself didn't trust them that much.

"Other mate?" (Name) asked softly and Mikey and Izana quickly soothed the omega claiming there was no one else and it was true.

There was no one else.

"As sweet as you are baby, we need you to come back to us" Mikey's voice warm and soothing as he tried to gently coax the omega from his primal state, more pharamones radiating from the men to gently pull him out.

After fourty minutes the lights turned behind those (color) eyes as he quickly pulled away from the Alphas, brain trying to figure out now he got here as memories slowly flooded back.

He covered his mouth in horror as be recalled his mome being burnt to ash... everything he had and worked for...

Gone.

"We are so sorry love..." Izanas voice barely registered as (name) began sobbing and shaking, the fact that someone tried to kill him again...

He almost died again...

"W-where am I?" (Name) asked quietly, voice barely a whisper as he looked at the alphas "we are at the Clan of the black dragons...our birthplace" Mikey answered honestly as Izanas continued "you're safe now..."

Looking around the ornate room, (name) struggled to make sense of it all "are you hungry? We can get you food love.." Izana gently pulled the omega close and let him sob into his chest, Mikey using telepathy to have one of his men bring food for (name).

(Name) eventually returned to his nest, the smell of disparity hung heavy in the air as Pah brought in food, offering a sad smile to the omega before leaving.

"Here... It's something light" Izana said holding the chopsticks/spoon to his mouth, thankful (name) was accepting it with hesitation.

(Name) was quiet and distant for days, his scent filled with disparity and heartbreak.

But who could blame him.

The pup trio were curious as they walked past the door containing their new guest and takemichi slowly toddled over to the closet where the smell was "hello?" Takemichi asked softly, glancing into the closet "pup...?" (Name) asked confused at the pups before his nest because why were pups in a demon clans estate? "Hi! What's your name?" Takemichi asked excitedly and wandered closer to the nest, the other two pups standing behind him shyly "my name's (name)...what are you little ones doing here?" (Name) asked softly, sniffing the air slightly and the smell of honey milk and the tiniest hint of sulfer hit his nose...ah they were demon pups.

"We saw uncle 'jiro and 'zana bring you in...we wanted to meet you" Hajime said softly and Seishu nodded in agreement, fiddling with the sleeves of his little robes "I see, that's very sweet of you pups" (name) said coming closer to the entrance of his nest "may I know your names?"

(Name) was soft and patient with the pups, feeling a sense of ease with them as they introduced themselves "such strong names, you boys must be strong warriors" (name) said kindly, smiling when the boys beamed at his praise, Seishu and Hajime becoming calmer and relaxed around the omega, (name) not even realizing the disparity left his scent and instead (scent) and honey, talking with the boys and for once since he got here he felt safe.

Shinchiro was looking for the pups high and low, growing worried as he followed their scents until he reached the omegas door, the scent of the pups the strongest as Mikey and Izana came with his food "shin? What are you doing at his door?" "It seems the pups wanted to make a friend" Shinchiro sighed and the alphas glanced at the door curiously before Mikey gently knocked on the door, three knocks to notify (name) that he was here before opening the door revealing the pups circled around (name) Seishu in his lap as he told them a story about a boy with a clock heart.

The beta and two alphas were in shock as they watched (name) entertain the boys with genuine happiness and it made them swell with pride at how good their Omega was with pups and how good they would be with their packs pups...

Shaking those thoughts, Izana cleared his throat and alerting the pups and omega and (name) grew quiet at the unknown beta in the room.

"Ah how rude of me, my name is Shinchiro Sano" the black haired man said softly, robes similar to Mikey's save for a few details "I am the pack leader of the black dragon clan and Manjiro and Izanas elder brother " Shinchiros voice calm and even as to not stress out the omega because he was technically in his only safe space at the moment "papa! He was telling us stories!" Takemichi said excitedly and the three pups ran towards their parent happily and (name) froze, realizing he accidentally scented someone else's pups and his scent shifted from calm to anxious "I am so sorry!" He said fidgeting and Shinchiro just laughed "all's good, I'm happy they brought you comfort" Shinchiro soothed as Alphas came towards the omega and offered the food "do you think you're ready to come out of the room?" Izana asked gently and (name) looked away shyly but the pups were having none of it "you can see the garden! It's awfully pretty!" Takemichi said almost dreamily as the other two pups nodded excitedly "don't pressure him..." Mikey warned the children gently but (name) shook his head.

"It's fine... I must have worried everyone"

Mikey and Izana perked at this, soft purring noises escaping their throats at the Omega agreeing to leave the room for the first time since his arrival.

It also gave them more opportunities to court the omega and convince him to go to their respective clans.

Shinchiro led the pups out of the room with some complaint but eventually gave when the beta spoke "he needs to eat little ones, we can see him later" and led the pups out of the room.

"How are you feeling?" Izana asked carefully, both alphas watching his movements carefully"I'm better now... I'm just unsure what to do now... "At first...yes but we won't deny that we both have grown feelings for you..." Izana said seriously as Mikey spoke up "we want to know more about you..." With a slight blush and (name) mulled it over "why?"

"What do you mean?"

"Why do you take the time? Not like alphas have taken the time before" (name) spat, a distant look in his eyes "we were raised better than that and...we have an omega sister and I don't think either of us could handle anything like that happening to her..."

Super Mario: headcanon brainstorms

HEYOOOO Ya’ll! Sorry for the slow posting as of late; outside of Patreon content I’ve been really hitting an artblock ;w; I think I’m starting to break through it though and with it comes some new ideas. Specifically, for Super Mario headcanons, which is something I’m consistently asked about. I think it’ll do me some good to switch gears for a bit too, so that I”m not focus near exclusively on LoZ anymore.

SO I figured I could share some of the base ideas and thoughts I had for the new headcanon/au to at least get myself started; a lot of this is brainstorming so subject to change, but it’s a start nonetheless! uwu Basic idea for the AU is to focus more on Modern Fantasy and Slice-of-Life, so instead of a huge grand adventure it’s more about the everyday lives of the characters and how I interpret that. owo THAT SAID, have some quick headcanon bunnies:

-The Mario crew and the Koopa Clan are basically frenemies with a friendly rivalry goin’ on. None of the plots Bowser pulls is out of any real malice and is more treated like a super intense game of “King of the Castle”l; it’s to a point where it’s basically tradition! Everyone in the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms are in on it.

-Bowsette is Bowser’s younger sister and, technically, co-ruler of Koopa Kingdom. However, I’d like to think that she overall hates the idea of being involved with politics and has gone off to do her own thing, much to the chargin of both her parents and the frustration of her older brother. Debating on the idea that she’s a part of a super small traveling band, trying to make it big on her own terms but thus far not really having much luck. She always phones in big bro to “borrow” from the family private treasury on promises she’ll pay back. Bowser knows she won’t but supports her anyway.

-Peach is the youngest rulers amongst the current Kingdom Leaders, having been unofficially crowned queen as a teenager (she’s currently late 20s). This is due to her father being unfit to rule in his current condition, and while he is still King his daughter has effectively taken on all of his duties. Why he is unfit to rule is something I’ve yet to decide.

-Luigi and Mario will keep their sidejobs as plumbers but they both have a secondary occupation! Mario is the acting bodyguard to Princess Peach and her best friend; he’s so good at his job due to his unassuming appearance. Luigi on the other hand owns his own bakery! He and his Yoshi companion Peppers (a red yoshi to mirror Mario’s green Yoshi friend) specialize in sweets, especially cookies, but they also bake fresh bread and bagels. uwu

-Pauline is the president of Metro Kingdom instead of the Mayor. I’d imagine Metro Kingdom is very different from any other kingdom due to it relying on popular vote over monarchy, with Pauline as the most recent leader of the Kingdom. She’d be highly popular amongst the citizens of the Kingdom and is damn good at her job. She also isn’t native to Metro Kingdom; I think I like the idea of her being originally from wherever Mario and Luigi are from before she ultimately moved to Metro Kingdom. They’re old buddies. owo

-I’m thinkin’ the Yoshi are sorta-kinda like Pokemon in terms of their role in society? They’re intelligent and in the wilds have their own basic societal structure, but in the Kingdoms (particularly Mushroom Kingdom) they are companions to the residents. A common misconception outside of the Mushroom Kingdom is that they’re pets; they are nothing of the sort.

-The Koopalings are not Bowser’s biological children but he has adopted them as his own kids. Toying with the idea that they’re teenagers and they maybe met Bowser through either a job ad during one of his bouts with the Mario crew, or perhaps he hired them all to babysit Junior (yes, all of them; Bowser is a very protective father) and it just snowballed from there. We’ll see!

-Rosalina is a goddess who makes her home amongst the stars and the Luma. She’s also pretty close to Peach; I love the idea of them having a older sibling/younger sibling vibe. I don’t think they’d be blood-related although that might change, but right now i’m trying to consider how they met... maybe Peach wished on a star when she was young, and Rosalina herself showed up? hmmmmm....

mxtx: ok so there is a confirmed murderer ok? and he murdered a whole clan, and he also wants to restore what is the equivalent of a nuclear weapon for a clan leader to use as he pleases. according to the laws of this fictional universe, the man should be executed. nie mingjue and xiao xingchen are the only ones who say so, because they are uninterested in political games and only care about justice and truth.

me: so nie mingjue and xiao xingchen are actually both right regarding this matter right? and jin guangyao and jin guangshan are those who only think about their own gains, right? and xue yang should be executed right?

mxtx: no because you see, nie mingjue used a not so pleasurable tone of voice to say all of this and scared his sword brother, and therefore is irredeemably evil. xiao xingchen instead is right, because he told all of this with a cute uwu face. also the previously said murderer is actually really a murderer, but once in his childhood a person mangled his pinky so you see how this is a shades of grey issue? jin guangyao is also a nuanced character because he has daddy issues.

me: ok, but then shouldn’t also nie mingjue get some slack? i mean, he was 100% right, he just wasn’t very graceful in explaining. you can justify mass murder because of some past traumas, but can’t justify raising your voice because of a whole ass mental illness?

mxtx: well no, because nie mingjue is big and scawy, xiao xingchen is cute, and jin guangyao is smoll :)
