Ok so I was thinking... (idk how'd I title this) ultimate visual novel/otome game!mc..? (This can also fall in line with yuu from a family of protags..)

Throughout their life been transferred and transported to many Romcon-esque scenarios. Being through so many years of highschool and college they can practically walk into any job and be over qualified for it.

Mc: oh! And there's 'also totally not the villian bestfriend', the delinquent that's likes cute things, the tsundere, cute boy that's two faced... the simp lackey

Mc: who else do we have... oh we also have the shut in otaku, 'also probably the secret villian', 'rich nieve who's servant is using them as a puppet', using my influence to be corrupt and the second born with a inferiority complex.

Mc: Oh how could I forget.. then there's the younger brother replacement, the scholarship kid, the servant with a secret agenda, there's the dadd-*cough cough* the happy go lucky who depressed..

Trey:*deadpan* I can only guess

Mc: the sleeping beauty, the creepy one, the homo-erotic twins, childhood friend that doesn't even to this school, and the rival for the narcissistic beauty that gets his comeupings, the baby and the mascots character.. did I get a bingo?

Idk about yall but I so want the duffers to lean into Will being a villian next season. Noah in general is such a talented actor and to have will and the Byers family be the centerfold of the show would be sosososos amazing. To see the entire gang react to Will being preyed upon by Vecna/Henry and to be convinced that he's the only one that understands Will, bc baby William Byers has enough trauma to feed Vecna for eternity. But also to see how this would effect everyone especially Jonathan and Joyce and Eleven. Byers family supremacy for the WIN!! Also maybe see will fight vecna from the inside out and bring our beloved Maxine and Eddie back 😭😭😭😭

I definitely agree with all your points. Noah's acting talent is insane and he would convey such a development in the most heartbreaking way. But taking into consideration that Will is gay, and media has a very long history of depicting gay characters as evil, I don't think it would be a good idea to let him become a villain - and I don't think it will happen. Will has been paralleled with Henry Creel a lot - the calm, quiet, sensitive boy who's different and who loves to draw, who's an artist. But I don't feel like these parallels have been built into the narrative to build up Will as a villain, quite the opposite. I think they were meant to show us that despite those similarities, Will and Henry are fundamentally different. That Will is fundamentally good - albeit hopefully struggling with his darker side as well, the rage and sadness and heartbreak and all of those emotions which have built up, his trauma...all those things will make him struggle, but in the end, I think he will choose to stay on the side of his friends.

Henry...while he is a complex character, I don't think he's a complex villain tbh. Quite the opposite, in my opinion. The way he's been depicted, hailing from what seems to be a healthy, intact family, he's showing all the traits and behaviors of someone born with an antisocial personality disorder. A psychopath. It's one of those fundamental questions of psychology: are people born evil, or has evil been thrust upon them, to quote Glinda from Wicked. Henry would have been a much better villain had something happened to make him evil instead of the bland "he was born this way" route. And the explanation for why he wants to merge worlds? Revenge? He's scared of time? That's so...superficial. So underwhelming.

So I hope that there will be another reveal about him, because as it is, the Mind Flayer was a way better Big Bad - an evil, intelligent entity from another dimension might not be complex but it gave me waaaaay more chills.

And I could imagine the connection and parallels between Will and Henry playing a role in a possible reveal about Henry or another true big bad.

Why did Jungkook not want to be on Jimin's team in the last run episode? He has changed a lot from before. Thoughts.

My first thought is, you don't gotta interpret everything in a negative light.

Not every strong reaction is a bad reaction.

I'd be a phony ass fraud if I sat here and told you with my two thumbs that I didn't raise a brow at that moment. I did.

Especially when you contrast that episode with run 112 which falls on all fours with this current situation- ok may not all fours.

But in that video, like many others, RM had suggested they form teams based on the sunglasses they wore, just as he had suggested they form teams based on the seating arrangements.

Of course he'd meant it as a Joke just as we discussed in a previous blog post. Personally, I expected they make a draw, rock papers or even dance in circles like they did in the other episode to decide who got who in the competition.

But it seems in all the times he's been paired with JM he's been supper thrilled about it. He even warned the members not to underestimate him and JM when they'd unanimously concluded they were the disadvantaged team in the game- Jin not even bothering to ask them what their scores were on Korean.

He reset the timer to 10 seconds when Jk pointed out he wasn't good at reading fast

When the time stopped and they were asked to make a team of four, he turned to find JM almost immediately as if to make sure JM was part of the four, he held on to his arm to prevent RM from breaking the link.

He was supposed to pair with Yoongi and Jimin with Tae but he didn't even try to find Suga. At least V did try to find Jimin. He moved towards JM and when he realized JK was hugging him he went for Suga.

Throughout the episode he was giving JM tips on how to cheat and shot when he wasn't sure of the answers.

Yet in the last run, he didn't seem as enthusiastic about being paired with JM- or so, he'd have us believe. Smirk.

He ain't slick. Lol.

To me he seemed, on the surface of it, either really salty about the others having Jin or RM on their teams or upon reflection, just plain ass overcompensating for something.

I'd go with the later.

It's similar to how, Jimin got the Sauna card and he'd complained about not liking the Sauna but then swapped cards with Tae so he could be on JM's team.

Or how he'd make a theatrical show of wanting to win a competition but smirk satisfactorily to himself when he loses.

I really don't think it's a big deal.

Personally, I love watching them paired up and doing such activities. It's a great way to see how they work together as partners and as a team.

It's also a great way for them to spend time with eachother, enjoy eachother, nurture their bond and strengthen their relationship.

Fanservice or not, scripted or not, you cannot deny that spending time together doing activities together is good for building a relationship.

They spend a considerable about of time together off cameras but a lot of their time is spent on cameras and at work.

They gotta find a way to make their relationship work on the work as I keep saying. All that 'fanservice' people say they are doing? That's them making it work. They gotta find a way to go on dates, feed eachother, hold each other's hands, tell Jokes, laugh at eachother's jokes, express their attraction for each other, flirt, share eachother's interests and do things couples do without inviting public scrutiny to their every interaction and invasion of their privacy.

So where they see an opportunity they go for it. For JK it's the the little decisions he makes on their behalf like choosing where they will sleep, what activities they can do together, wanting the bigger room, making sure JM wins the presidential suite, or choosing a room detached from the other rooms.

He invests in his relationship the best way he can. Same goes for Jimin.

I keep saying this whole fanservice culture is a win win situation for them- for even any queer idol couple in the same band.

What seem like a challenge could technically be an opportunity for a date for them without dispatch breathing down their necks.

A typical example would be this. Jimin said he wanted to go get Yoga with the others but ended up going with YoonKook on their brewery excursion.

The more time they spend together, on and off cameras the more closer they get and the more they get to know eachother on a deeper level.

But you have to bare in mind, they need their personal spaces too in order for their relationship to function properly.

Jimin used can be very needy in his relationship but for the most part he enjoys his independence too.

Jk has always had a strong sense of independence but he can equally be quote needy and over attached once he is in a relationship- especially when things are going great for him.

Spending time apart, persuing personal goals and interest is good for them.

If it helps, think of moments when they hang around eachother as Jikook dates and when they hang quietly in the background of videos do think of those as them having their me times at work...

Would they miss an opportunity to 'date' or hang privately with eachother? I don't think so.

It's in their dicks interests and the interest of whole production team and crew to allow them to be around eachother as often and as much as they want and can.

I for one, I'm not prepared to sit through yet another excruciating episode of Jungkook wanting Jimin- physically and emotionally. I'm still dealing with the PTSD from the last BonV four episodes.

Y'all buy me Ko-fi please. I don't intend to sit through that shit sober.

If Jk is pushing to be on JM's team and what not it's mostly because he feels he needs to spend more time with him. If he's not pushing for that it just means he or they are both allowing for space and room in their relationship for eachother to pursue other activities and interests or even connect with other members- unless of course they are having relationship problems which I don't think is the case.

Jimin is particularly good at this.

He goes out of his way to nurture his relationship with the others even on set.

He does this especially with Tae.

He'd take Tae to go see places he and JK had already been to, he'd request to take pirate rides with Tae- even though JK is available and won't hesitate to let him know, he often make plans involving Tae or even the others- in Soop when Tae asked him to go ride around the town with him he chose to stay and manspread on Jin and Yoongi. *I'm cackling. Lmho.

Jimin is a funny guy.

Now does this mean he doesn't like spending time with Tae or that he's changed? Hell no.

Hell, Tae does the same thing from time to time too. I mean when he found out he had picked a Sauna card he asked to swap it knowing very well Jimin had picked that card too. Soulmates coulda soulmated that shit in hot piles of steamy.

Sure JK lurks around sometimes. He is the resident intruder stepping on Jimin's other ships' neck. Love him for this. Lol.

Perfect Disney villian.

Tae had to drag his ass away from the kitchen for intruding when he and JM were cooking in the Kitchen. Let's not talk about him physically removing him from JM's car or all the times he's complained about JK raining on his Vmin agenda.

When V wanted to be on a team with JM this man literally sabotaged him, hugging Jimin first. It's his laughter afterwards for me. Lmho.

V needs to insure his Jimin cos at this point it's trademark infringement. Hashtag soulmates. Lololol.

Jk needs to go ahead and free Vmin.

But JM does this too, in much more subtle ways- I'll never forget the look he had on his face when he had to get off the bus and walk home as punishment. It was the most heart breaking thing I ever seen.

Then he had to hang off Hobi to get JK to leave his friends and come to him.

It's why I used an ellipsis the last time I talked about Jimin being very mature now. Old Jimin would have, clapped back, made JK pay for that outburst if he genuinely thought JK meant what he said or believed JK really wanted to be on a team with someone else.

Y'all don't see him when JK compliments other people? He stays kicking his feet under the table🤣🤣🤣🤣

I used to pinch a gurl I liked when other gals talked to her when I was little- In my defense, I didn't even know I liked her or that it was straight up abuse💀

Jimin can be pretty scary and petty when he's mad or offended.

If it helps you sleep at might, think of this moment as just another one of those 'we've been a unit for so long do you wanna be with someone else now' scene from February last year.

Jk answered yes when JM asked him that. But do you really think he meant it?

Jikook is complex, not complicated.

They love eachother.

We can't be looking at their interactions as either or. Grey areas exist and it's not a negative thing.

Yeah, I do remember that aspect of Abel seeming hypocritical and outside of that I didn't really remember his personality standing out much so I didn't really like or hate him, it's probably why I didn't watch all of the series despite owning it. Yeah, I know Vampire Princess Miyu had fans but I didn't personally know any and it originally came out before Youtube so I'm guessing that's why not many people talked about it but someone remembered the show at least and even though it was a channel I'm not fond of I appreciated that they considered the Anime to be memorable. I'm not exactly sure where you can stream Miyu, there was an OVA and the TV show and I imagine the TV show is easier to access. If you do happen to find and watch it let me know your thoughts!

Ahh I see, that makes sense. I don't assume all vampires function the same or have the same opinions within one universe and that hierarchy concept sounds mildly familiar so I must have heard of it at some time, thank you for explaining it though. I remember in Vampire Princess Miyu Lava was similar, Miyu drank his blood and now he's a loyal servant to her so similar concept I guess? I'm glad to hear you enjoyed both the OVA and the TV series. Glad you ultimately got to tsee the rest of Trigun and read it's manga even if it took a while. I know even when you could catch Anime on TV they would rerun a lot of the same episodes so it was hard to get a complete viewing that way.

It's a shame that the original Cowboy Bebop missed the point of the original. I didn't have much confidence in it since I briefly had Netflix back when they did their take on Deathnote and that was botched so badly. I think I heard the One Piece live action was received slightly better? I'm not really a part of that fandom so I wouldn't personally know but some articles on my feed seemed to suggest it was received well. Ahh, so they decided to focus on his brother? Certainly a remake making up for poor character development is understandable but not at the detriment of the rest of the plot.

Yeah, we don't get a whole lot of details for the powers of some of the Millennium items so I don't blame you for even forgetting the puzzle was one of them. I agree if Yami Bakura was more likable or if they focused more on Ryou and his struggles against his dark self the ring would have been more memorable. Yes, exactly! We do get to see that Seto isn't a stock villian or just there to be a foil to Yuugi and gang so I feel Isis' role is really important. I do agree him helping Yuugi should a lot of complexity of his character that we didn't get a lot of before. I think a lot of this was Seto rediscovering himself after the evil in his heart was destroyed and I know the Anime didn't focus on that aspect too much but I still felt like it was present if that makes sense? I don't know why 4kids made him all anti-magic either, it was pretty frustrating. I can see how Anime-only fans may have been shocked by the characterization.

Yeah and Seto could have easily just brushed it off because Kaiba Corp wasn't a military company anymore once he took over but he seems to take it in and not shirk responsibility despite making it clear that that is not his Kaiba Corp and I feel like that shows a lot of respect. I never shipped them either and I don't blame you for not liking Amelda's design. I was pretty neutral about him overall. Oh no! So not only did she share a name with your OC but she was mistreated by the plot! That's really sucks. But yeah I can relate to having an OC with the same name as a canon character being completely different personality-wise lol.

Ugghh, I hate that trope of the female protagonist becoming softer and not as compelling once she's joined the protagonist's side. I don't remember where I've seen that before but I know I've seen that before...I think Black Buttler might have been one of them? Anyway, yeah I imagine having your OTP reset wasn't any fun. We really were spoiled by Takahashi's writing. He made really compelling villains and handled their motivations even for becoming allies really well. You wouldn't think it would be a hard thing to do but I guess not everyone can achieve that balance where they still hold onto their original selves while also developing as a character.

Ahh I see, you liked him ok in Kanto. I think that makes sense. I didn't see Johto either since my last season was the filler one that came out before Johto. I do agree they made the path to becoming a Pokemon master a little vague other than befriending lots of Pokemon and defeating gym leaders. It seems like they got distracted a lot though. I can see how being a bit older would make it hard to relate to Ash, even though i was probably in the demographic I didn't like them changing too much of the game lore either and that's really why I stopped watching the Anime. I admit I find it interesting to talk to someone who never really liked Disney movies from the beginning.

I actually completely forgot the lore of his father being a strong trainer! wow, I wasn't aware they sort of shipped Oak and Ash's mom in canon. I literally just thought it was a joke among the fans so now I kinda have some context for why it's such a common thing for Youtubers I watch to joke about. It does seem like the Anime gets indecisive about what they want. I remember one of my Japanese tutors explaining to me that people who have bid appetites or eat a lot all at once tend to freak Japanese people out so I'm kinda curious how the Japanese fans received that trait lol.

Hmm yeah, I can't imagine I'd be too into that part of the lore considering how common it is to see Ancient Egyptian gods/ royalty being portrayed as villains. Yuugioh is also the only positive example I can think of. It also seems to be the only one that acknowledges the diversity within Ancient Egypt, especially in late Ancient Egyptian society because they had the tendency to adapt ideas and mythos from civilizations they conquered (and expected the same in return). Oh, I see! I guess the person who explained JoJos in a video I watched gave me the wrong impression. Thank you for clearing that up, it still sounds a bit hard to follow but I guess not once you get invested. Ahh, getting into multiple universes sounds like it might muddy things up a bit though.

Yes, I'm sure it's a different name but back in the day it seemed like using PrideShipping gave me results for both Seto and Atem in their present-day and pas-selves so I wanted to clarify just in case? I don't really remember all the names anyway and often wished I had a ship glossary lol.. Anyway, yes I think people who don't deferentiate between Yuugi and Atem would confuse Rivalshipping with Prideshipping. I'm glad to hear that Polyships get some love too. A story shipping Seto with both Atem and Yuugi certainly sounds interesting. I do think we can ignore them not explaining how he gets his own body for the sake of fanfic lol or at least we can think of it as a slight AU I guess? I do agree we're fairly close in wavelength that doing prompt requests for ships usually works out. I'm glad it's a challenge you enjoy embarking on.

Yes, I'm happy you had that opportunity to help you heal from a lot of your trauma. I imagine initially being around people who didn't care about working with OCs was difficult so it's good that you found a group of friends to encourage you. I agree that if you're going to ship the character with someone you project onto it might as well just be a self-ship so that way you aren't bending the narrative to make it fit your wish-fulfillment. I agree they have no right to judge selfshippers.

I'm not surprised to hear that even with Aisu you had some tragedy. Poor Seto losing his wife and daughter while also being estranged with his son. Yeah, I barely remember the story of X and Y to be honest. I just remember it as the first game I got all Eeevelutions so I was super excited about that. I imagine it did get dull just battling with the same group of shinies all the time. I understand why you would prefer to battle with friends instead. I do agree a person's Pokemon team does reflect a lot about them and the kind of strategies they have. Certainly respect people using their personal preferences rather than simply picking the strongest Pokemon. Glad you at least can have a challenge against your brother tho.

As the title says this is a mixed dub. Atem is in English and Seto Japanese. So hope you don’t mind. But I do just love the duels in the movie…!

Sugirandom: Ahh, yes I thought when this started that he was using a simulation, dueling in a church does seem dramatic lol. I guess having it be dubbed subbed mix actually made it easier for me to pick up on it being the simulation too because of the disconnect. I don't mind too much, the duel is always epic and it's nice to hear the dub alongside the OG soundtrack instead of 4Kids' music. I really like

Atem's japanese voice though so I'd like to see the whole movie in Japanese one day. I feel like in Japanese Yuugi and Atem sounded more like the same person, he had the deeper voice and different vibe but the voices weren't so different that it felt like the voice was from two seperate bodies.. IDK if that makes sense, I guess it felt like it was easier to imagine that Yuugi was 'possessed' by Atem's spirit in the Japanese version to me.

IDK why I went on that tangent sorry, the CGI in the movie is nice too, it's blended it in nicely and not distracting like some Anime CGI can be! Thanks again for sharing!

Happy Holidays fic recs

Happy Holidays everybody! I haven’t been commenting on posts individually like i normally like to so it’s kind of backed up a bit. I still really want to thank all the authors who have been sharing their stories with us and leave a lil itty bitty comment before I can expand on them for their own post so here’s that! Also I’ve seen a lot of undeserved negativity being spread to a lot of authors and I just want to thank you all for sharing your work on this platform FOR FREE and remind you that you literally owe us nothing and I’m super grateful that you continue to share with us. This story was amazing! First of all, I love the comedy surrounding the entire situation, Hobi with his 8 trees and instigator Yoongi who also wants them to get their shit together for Hobi’s sake. I love all au’s but sometimes exes to lovers is difficult for me to side with because I don’t see how people can bounce back from so much hurt but in this story it felt very natural how they were able to find their way back together and I really enjoyed the insight to their relationship, especially near the end.

Ya’ll. Yoongi fics just truly hit different. The plot of this was so adorable and him going out of his way like that to keep her engaged was so cute and just very Yoongi like. I also just really loved the descriptions in this, like how oc described making the drinks, it just made everything seem so real.

I loved reading Yoongi being so fixated with oc and doing everything i his capability to meet her. I also was v interested in the part where he bumped into her and she didn’t react the way he expected because it made me think about how he (or any character’s with his mindset) cope when the fantast and reality don’t match.

This story was so complex and both characters had so many layers to them, but it’s still sooo well written and I was invested the entire time. Like, I genuinely can’t get my feelings out in a brief way so I’m looking forward to screaming about this in it’s own post.

Damn, I really love when a misunderstanding is such a big catalyst for a bunch of drama/angst. It just really ups the tension for me because as the reader I know it was a misunderstanding but clearly the character’s don’t, so it just makes me really eager to see how they make amends. I really enjoyed seeing them slowly make amends and grow. Also the buildup to them deciding to give the relationship another go made the ending soooo satisfying.

It’s the way I read this last night, it took me exactly an hour (3am to 4 am cause I’m a CLOWN), and I was so invested that I kept putting off sleep to finish it. Man, i’m a simp for this Tae (just like he is for oc lmao). I really enjoyed reading it and the mention of Jisoo earlier in the story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time wondering when things were gonna blow up. Everything was just so sweet and fluffy, and the confession really made me feel so soft for them both cause they both were so in their own heads and feelings they couldn’t see what was in front of them so I really enjoyed the confessions.

I genuinely don’t know how I can simp over this story in a short way but I’ll try my best. The characters are so complex and the storyline is twisted so many ways that make this so interesting to read and easy to become invested in. The way Jk is written, I understand why OC is lost on how to feel for him. Like, his actions are wrong, but actually meeting him and even seeing his though process, it’s hard to make him out to be the villian that his actions have categorized him as. I can’t wait to continue reading and write a full length comment about this!

I also just really love how this is written and I think you have a beautiful way with words.

Idk if I’ve ever said it before, but I just love how you write relationships. Like, I can feel how comfortable they are with each other and how natural being together is for them. With your stories generally it just never feels forced and I really love that. I also really liked that we got Jk’s pov in the beginning, getting to see how tense he was really made me eager for their interactions and for him to feel comfortable and calm with her. Their interactions just felt so cute and natural and the end, assdjfhi, jk really deserves to be cherished and I loved seeing oc get him to the point of relaxation.

I don’t see them villianizing Kassim. He’s a complex character like the rest. Every character in the show made mistakes at some point.

Yes, every character in the story has made mistakes at some point, but it’s very clear that at this point in the story Kasim has been introduced solely to add drama in Amira’s season. (If they wanted to give Lucas a love story, they could’ve gone so many different ways with it that didn’t have to negatively impact Amira.) He’s not a main character, he’s not a character we’ve grown to love and who happens to make a few mistakes, he’s a character added to cause conflict.

Sometimes characters are added to cause conflict and that’s fine, but to have your only muslim moc (in a show that already has an extremely small amount of moc in general), who are so often negatively depicted in media, fulfill this role is just a very bad decision. And to make him gay on top of that and centre his story around him being unable to come out to his family, reminding us that muslims are homophobic you better not forget! is just.... so irresponsible.

I don’t know how they can make this more clear than to have Amira make her little ‘I hate all muslim men’ speech obvs aimed at Kasim, which again feeds into the negative stereotypes surrounding muslim men, that apparently even muslim girls feed into now. You cannot do this if you don’t include other muslim men to show that those things aren’t a universal truth!! It sends a very wrong message!!

I in no way think Kasim is evil, but the way they’re writing this storyline is just really messy and as much I want more lgbt+ muslim characters, I really wish they hadn’t included this tbh

Second point: i’m not an expert, neither am I turkish, but i’ve never a day in my life thought of turkish people as white.

Spoiler warnings for death note and the games

I should probably mention about these games is they were never translated. Only Japanese. I actually can’t read Japanese fluently, in Japanese there is this alphabet called Katakana, and it’s used to write foreign words. The words tend to be in English so I can connect the dots from there

You may have also seen some video game sprites fly around before, this is where the whole “Wait Matt is blue?” thing came from. The way I read it 99% of the time is by using the Google Translate app and the scan function. The translations actually come out really understandable

About the games, there are 3. I’ve only seen maybe 2 major posts talking about the games, this one YouTube video, and a Tumblr post which is a rough guide on how to play one of the games.

Death Note: Kira Game: In this games story mode it follows the first 11 episodes of death note. Personally I think its strange..why the first 11? So do they just do a timeskip of 14 episodes for the sequel? I have only played the non-story mode version so far so I cannot confirm (yet).

In the non-story mode version the best way I can describe it is a bit like Dangan/ronpa class trials and Ace Attorneys whole mechanic of “arguing for your side”. You pick a death note character, and choose whether you wanna be Kira (the criminal) or L (the detective).

If you choose Kira you have to argue/talk to people and figure out who L is without letting people know you’re Kira. And if you choose L it’s swapped around. Each character also has a special ability! For example Misa’s ability is to gain 100% trust with anyone.

Death Note: L Wo Tsugu Mono (Successors/Succession to L): I haven’t even really touched the emulator version of this game. And I haven’t played it yet because I want to complete Kira Game first. So sadly I cannot say very much. This is of course a sequel to Kira Game and it’s story mode. I guess it follows after the first 11 episodes of death note but it could be different.

The back cover is just excitingly summarizing the arc(s?) after L dies. So not much there...the most I can say about my thoughts on this game is the aspect of moving puzzle pieces and performing actions seems so complex...I hope theres a detailed tutorial or it just happens to look complex.

OK NOW THIS GAME IS MY FAVORITE AND MOST IMPORTANT and I’ve actually played it plenty so I can give more details

So the last game is called L the ProLogue to Death Note: Spiraling Trap! Sadly I couldn’t find this on any type of free emulator, the game seems to really be that foreign. From what I’ve played of this game so far you’re an FBI agent who while investigating with Naomi is suddenly blacked out and kidnapped. You are then put into a hotel full of traps and items.

You work with L over a call (you can see his face and everything) and he helps you to try and escape. This hotel escape was designed by a remnant of a villian group that I believe L took down before. Called Cresselia Moon. The remnant guys name is J. (Death note once again giving us the mysterious 1 letter names)

My favorite part of this game is the L communicator :) Once you unlock it as you play the games story mode regularly you can find recipes for sweets and drinks (for example one of the recent onces I found was a fruit parfait thing). And as you feed L more and more he gains more friendship with you and talks to you (out loud) more and more. He also begins to help you with traps more.

When you feed L he tends to give you his thoughts on it. My favorite is his reaction to a vanilla ice cream cone. He says that it gives him a chill in his stomach and that he likes it.

I believe this game takes place in some sort of alternate timeline, I feel like I’ve heard before that this game was released alongside L Change The WorLd so I think this game happens during that. Either before (after Kira loses) or during LCTW.

p.s. overall if you want my personal recommendation just play the Spiraling trap game, it’s a story and great thing on it’s own. Especially if you’re an L fan! I found all the games on eBay. But be warned most come from japan so shipping is a pain.

In a dream world where we are getting a Red Hood live action trilogy, how would you want the three movies to be? Like what plotlines, characters, villians, what arc to develop, how to present his character to appeal to the general audience and such :D

Oh man, this is an interesting question.

Well first of all, this might sound strange, but I absolutely do not think that Under the Red Hood should be adapted to Live Action. I believe this because it already exists in animated form and is perfect. No live-action remake is going to compare unless they recreate it scene by scene and they never will. The dialogue is too good, it cannot be made better, only worse. So, that being said, RH1 should not be a retelling of UtRH, rather that movie/storyline should exist as backstory for the first Red Hood movie. They should communicate the events of that story without retelling it wholesale as the plot in the movie. They should also go ahead and go with the Lazarus Pit explanation of Jason’s resurrection because the superboy-smashing-the-universe thing is too vague and requires more context than a standalone movie can really provide. I would amend it though so that it’s actually more like Arkham Knight games, in that Joker had Jason for over six months torturing him before he finally killed Jason and sent the tape to Bruce. At that point, Ra’s and Talia got a hold of Jason’s body and resurrected him.

I have a really solid idea for the first movie, a more vague idea for the second one and a really vague idea for the last one. I’ll write you guys the synopsis of the first one up here.

Red Hood Movie 1

So, the movie opens on some brief scenes of a seemingly ordinary guy as he goes through his day. He wears blue collar clothes with a leather jacket thrown over the top, rides his motorcycle to work and stops to give money to a homeless guy on the street. He works construction or something, shows himself to be really smart and maybe a little over-competent for his job, he can jump down from high beams like he’s an acrobat, he does complex math in his head, but when colleagues ask how he knows so much he just plays it off. He seems friendly but he’s secretive, keeps to himself. He goes home from work, he’s the only one there, he works out, punches a punching bag, he checks a secret compartment in his house to make sure no one has tampered with it, but we don’t see what’s inside. He eats alone and when it gets dark he walks a ways to a local dive and sits in the corner until a red-headed friend comes in.

He and the friend bullshit together, clearly they’re close. His friend asks if he’ll babysit his daughter so he can work on a case, he says sure. They’re in the middle of talking about the daughter when something on one of the televisions playing in the bar catches his eye. It’s a breaking news feed of an Arkham breakout in Gotham City, with the building on fire, lead by the Joker. He flinches and you see this snarl of twisted fear and rage and his friend reaches out to grab his arm. “Jason, don’t. He doesn’t have to be your problem. You don’t owe Gotham anything.” And Jason looks Roy in the face and says, “Gotham owes me everything. And I’m going to get my payback.”

Jason leaves the bar, goes home, opens the secret compartment–it’s full of guns and all of his Red Hood gear. He packs it up and leaves on his motorcycle bound for Gotham.

Switch over to Bruce being Brucie at a WE function for a charity. He’s called up to give a speech and he talks about how his second son was a boy from Gotham’s streets who’d been exceptional but just didn’t have the opportunities because of his poor background. Unfortunately he was dead in a tragic accident, but Bruce had dedicated this charity in his name for underprivileged youth to fund scholarships and community support, etc. He steps down and has to glad-hand some people until his phone vibrates and he looks at the screen. It’s Oracle telling him there’s a Gotham break out.

Bruce slips away and he’s in the Batcave putting on his Batman gear as Alfred and Barbara–over the computer–fills him in on what’s going on and talks about how most everyone is out of Gotham at the moment, it’s just Bruce and Oracle, and asks Bruce if he wants Alfred to call in Nightwing or someone else for help. Bruce says no he wants them to stay out of it as he’s looking at the Memorial case of Jason’s Robin costume that’s still damaged. Alfred reminds him that since it’s the Joker, Jason is bound to appear, Bruce just grunts and says he’ll deal with that problem as it comes and has Oracle on the look out for any activity from either of them.

Bruce shows up at Arkham and talks to Gordon briefly, who tells him there’s a riot going on inside and they’ve already confirmed the warden had been murdered. Bruce busts in and starts kicking butt and capturing everyone, getting various people to safety that he finds as he makes his way through the building. All the while Oracle is giving him tech support. Bruce finds Joker’s cell but it’s been broken open. Suddenly he thinks he sees joker and and chases him down, capturing him but it turns out it’s just another inmate dressed like him–there’s a whole bunch of fake Jokers running around the building. Oracle tells him they’ll never be able to confirm if it’s really him from cameras alone like this and Bruce has to admit that’s true. But also says the Joker is probably already long gone, and they need to stop worrying about containment and start searching the city for him.

Cut to Jason riding into Gotham. He opens up a derelict safehouse with yet more guns and suits up and hits the streets. Everywhere he goes, he sees flashes of memories–of him as a kid on the streets, of Bruce catching him stealing the tires from the batmobile, him as Robin, him fighting Bruce as Red Hood. He questions homeless people and hookers and roughs up some dealers. They all know him, they’re all afraid, he’s the King of Crime Alley and remember when he ran out Black Mask. After some investigating, someone tells him a certain crime family’s men were hired to riot outside of Arkham and sow even more chaos.

Jason attacks the guy in his big mansion, mowing down hoards of mobsters with guns, all to get to the head guy and question him. He says Joker put out the word he wanted some grunts to help with the breakout and Black Mask had done a deal with him to provide men. The head mobster is Black mask’s man outside of Blackgate prison. The meeting was held in Gotham’s abandoned Amusement Mile between Joker and Roman’s proxies. Jason kills the mobster and leaves for the place he mentioned.

As Jason is on his way, someone hacks into the comms on his helmet–it’s Barbara, she found him after the attack on the mobsters–and she’s trying to get Jason to stop and leave Gotham. He and Bruce had a truce, that Jason would say out of Gotham and stop being Red Hood. Jason says that truce ended when he let Joker escape and now he’s going to kill him. Barbara says he’s not the only person Joker hurt, we see her in the Clocktower in her wheel chair with a picture of her and Gordon. Jason says he’ll kill Joker for both of them. Barbara says she’d rather the Joker be alive than Jason dead at his hands, and Jason says, well that’s where they differ.

Jason investigates the place, an empty funhouse or something. Down a hallway he thinks he sees the Joker and he runs after him but there’s no one there. He keeps seeing images of when he got captured by the Joker in the mirror, sees his younger self bloodied and dead. He’s getting increasingly unhinged. Then Bruce appears as Batman, tells Jason he broke their truce, he came back to Gotham and he killed people, but Bruce is willing to overlook it if he just leaves. Jason goes into his issues with Bruce, about how that’s his problem, he’s unwilling to go as far as necessary to really protect people. About how if Bruce had killed Joker from the beginning, Jason wouldn’t have died or become what he is, and Barbara wouldn’t be in a wheelchair, and all the people who died in the Arkham break out would still be alive.

Jason attacks Bruce, they have a huge badass fight. They are mostly fighting to a draw but they are both getting heavily injured. In the middle of their fight they think they see joker and Jason cuts off Bruce’s path and goes after him alone–only to get clocked with a crowbar from behind and dragged off.

Bruce finally makes it around to where Jason ran off only to a smear of blood on the ground that he runs through the computer and is told belongs to Jason by Alfred. Spray painted next to it is a Joker smile and the location where Jason first tried to get Bruce to murder the Joker.

Bruce goes to the location and finds the Joker there with Jason completely beat up and tied down. “Remember this Batsy? It was a fun little game, wasn’t it? It really had potential.” He’s missed his broken bird in Arkham and getting out has made him feel nostalgic, but alas he has better things to do, so it’s time to tie up this loose end for once and for all. He doesn’t need Red Hood getting between batman and his games, so he’s going to play one final round, winner takes all. “I think we should play again, but this time with a twist,” he says. Joker has set up Bruce to kill him or he’s going to kill Jason again–he’s like you can’t do it can you? Not even for your little robin. So he’s going to die–again.

The confrontation ends exactly like it did in Under the Red hood. Bruce throws a batarang that slits Joker’s throat but doesn’t outright kill him. Joker runs away laughing as Bruce goes to Jason, with Jason weeping and telling him to go after the Joker. Bruce refuses and says Jason’s injuries are more important. He tries to take him to the manor and Jason says no, he refuses to go there, to take him to a hospital. Bruce says if he goes there Red Hood will be arrested for killing the gangster. Jason doesn’t care, he refuses to have anything to do with a father who chooses the joker over his own son twice, he doesn’t get to treat his wounds and act like not going after the Joker was him saving Jason. it was just him betraying Jason yet again.

The last scene is Roy visiting Jason in Blackgate prison. He shows him home videos of Lian and brings him crayon pictures from her. He tells Jason if he ever wants out, just to say, but Jay says no, he’s got some unfinished business to handle. We see Black Mask, also there in the prison…

So pretty much the first movie has the Joker as the main villain in a re-working of the UtRH story, pretty typical Jason stuff.

The second one is where things are a lot less typical and almost brand new and not from the comics because let’s face it–Jason doesn’t have a lot of good stories that don’t involve the Joker. In the second movie Jason is in prison for most of the plot. And the villain? Astrid Arkham, who is the Arkham Knight. How does that work, you may wonder. Oh I have ideas and it’s twisty~ If you guys want to know how I think that one would go, I’ll write it up later.

The third one I’m thinking a League of Assassins thing. Basically Talia comes to Jason to try to get him to lead the league and we find out a lot about the circumstances of Jason’s death and resurrection and training. I’m much less sure about the exact plot for this one, but I think by the end of it Jason should finally forgive Bruce enough to go home and stop killing.

Gladion’s Boggart Prt. 2

@moonkxssed @toeachfuture @serenesunlight ayyyy it’s more of my fav group!! Hope you don’t mind me tagging you all since they are your characters aaand i want you guys to see

Selene Elio and Mitsuki were left stranded in a lone hallway lost beyond recognition. Gladion seemed to put his extensive knowledge of the school’s layout to use by going complex routes that even they had trouble following from behind him. When the three had raced around once again another corner they were met with three possible routes he could've taken. One was to the stairway while the other two were hallways, the left hallway was dark- pitch black to the point one of them would need to use Lumos to see. The hallway to the right was much brighter, more inviting than the dark hallway ever would be.

Now they just had to choose who went where.

“Why would he go down the stairs?” Mitsuki exclaimed trying to talk sense into her two other friends. “He’d hate it if someone saw him cry and going down the stairs would be a huge gamble for him!”

“Y-You just d-don’t want to be the one t-to go down the stairs,” was Elio’s smart remark hitting the nail on the head.

“You’re right I don’t! I’ll get lost without Cinnamon to help me or I’ll get stuck on the staircase for an hour.” the again didn’t need to be said as all remembered her fuming speech over the ‘blasted staircase and how idiotic wizards were.’

“Still b-bitter over l-last time, huh?” Elio mutter shaking his head in amusement at her flash of irritation knowing it wasn’t directed at him.

Huffing Mitsuki pouted crossing her arms over her chest, “Well I’d like to see you deal with sitting on the stairs for an hour bored out of your skull- Really what were the founder’s thinking when they made the stairs?? Oh sure you have plans to get to class but then stairs decide to take you halfway across campus making you late! You know how long Snape chewed me out for!?”

Selene started to tune her out remembering just how long Snape chewed her out; she was in the same room as her when it happened after all. They didn’t have the same classes but on that day Professor Snape wanted more personal hours for himself, or something along those lines so he merged both classes together.

Though the rant went along as expected Selene could agree with one thing about it…

“Wizards are weird.” Both girls said in sync Mitsuki saying in frustration while Selene said it in resignation.

Elio only laughed at that, “d-did you forget that w-we’re all magical here? And that one of my parents is magical too, so i-i’m use to all of this.” At the word this he waved towards the stairs which were starting to move. If one of them didn’t get on it right then and there they’d only be left with the hallways….

Mitsuki groaned rolling her eyes as she made a run for the slowly moving staircase, “you two owe me big time!” Was the last thing she said before managing to jump the short gap and onto the lip of the staircase managing to stick the landing. It started to move downward, (no it never got any easier watching something break the laws of physics) slowly moving Mitsuki farther and farther away.

Selene cupped her hands around her mouth bending over the drop to shout out, “If you can’t find him then go find Lillie and ask her to help!” Her voice echoed catching the attention of other students that were moving onto their next class. Mitsuki waved showing that she heard Selene before her face was finally out of sight, blocked by another moving staircase.

Turning around she found Elio was going down the right hallway leaving her with the left one. With a quietly whispered, “Lumos.” her wand tip lit up brightly showing her the way. It was dusty and old as if no one had been down this hallway in centuries.

With all the dust some faint footprints were noticeable making a soft snort leave her, “right, of course, he does down the dusty, dark and dank hallway that screams out horror movie.”

Halfway down the hallway, she heard the sound of stone scraping against stone when she turned back she saw the way she had come from was blocked!

“Gladion Aether if we’re trapped here then so help me….” Muttering under her breath her eyes burned with determination to find her friend and get out of here. No matter if this all felt like a cliche build up to a horror movie where the murder would jump out any second now and stab her.

As if wanting to feed into her fear she heard a rage-filled scream along with the sound of things being thrown around. The sound of things breaking echoed down the lonely hall, another yell following along with the crunch of something being snapped.

It was him.

She sped up feet slamming against the hard floor following the sounds of the destruction until she found him in one of the many old classrooms.

Selene openly gaped at the state of the room Gladion resided in. Desks had been turned over in his rampage, posters that had been on the wall torn off and ripped into little pieces. Inkpots and broken quills were scattered on the floor, the dark black inky mess seeping into the floor and into his shoes. Black footprints were left haphazardly around the floor, some steps smeared showing his pacing and even an instance where he had kicked a wall in his frustration.

“Oh Gladion,” she whispered hoarsely feeling her own eyes tear up. At the sound of his name, his head jerked up turning away from staring lifelessly at the quills and to her. Tear tracks glittered in the light glowing from her wand, his green eyes dull, red-rimmed and sorrowful.

“I thought I was over this,” he mourned staring away from her blue eyes, (was that shame within them?) and up to the ceiling, his hand clenching and unclenching. He laughed, low and bitter shaking his head as he sounded close to wailing once more. “I thought I could face it all. I have to kill her one day or who knows what she’ll do. I thought I was ready, now look at me having a mental break down in an abandoned classroom by just being near something that looked like her!”

He started to pace again ink-stained hands combing through his hair leaving behind black streaks within the blond.“How many people are going to be laughing at me for being afraid of my own mother- how many people are going to spread rumors of the mudblood loving, frightened of his mother, Slytherin Selene? I doubt highly that anyone besides, our friend group and possibly professor Lupin can guess what she’s done fully.”

He can’t say abuse- the words get stuck in his throat threatening to choke him if he dears utter the word. It feels wrong- it feels like it’s meant for those children that had it worst then him. For the kids trapped in basements for hours on end in the pitch dark or kids growing up chained to the bed and not allowed to leave unless it’s to eat bathe and use the bathroom. For the ones beaten, broken and bruised beyond repair.

That wasn’t him, he always had a nice luxurious bed to sleep in was fed three meals a day, (no more no less) and was able to go to school. Even if his clothes sometimes didn't fit right, even if the words she hurled at him stung more then any slap could or the times he was put under the torturing curse- nothing ever left much of a physical mark on his skin. He was as unblemished as a boy his age could be. Even after the discovery of her lab and his slow start to rebellion her actions towards him never changed. She was cruel- would forever be so but never cruel like that- Oh Merlin's saggy balls now he's defending her in his own damn mind! She's awful! She's done unspeakable things, she keeps fresh dead bodies in the basement to sew together to try to make her "husband" come to life again. She just couldn't learn to move on like the rest of the family did, she just had to dive off into the deep end. He was disgusted by her blatant disrespect towards the dead and her shoddy attempts of sewing together a body making monstrosities he'd wish she'd just burn instead of putting freeze charms on them and hiding them away like special treasures. Just thinking about it makes him sick- no he was already feeling sick from watching her threatened his friends.

“I THOUGHT I WAS FINE!” He screams again, raking his hand through a bookshelf throwing books from their place and towards the front to smack against the chalkboard. Tears started to trickle down his face once more making his vision blurry.

“I was fine being the villian,” he choked out between breathy sobs. “I was fine being hated as long as I could protect Lillie- protect you Mitsuki and Elio!” His hands went to his head once more fingers ruffling his hair sending strands of blond every which way.

“I can’t even do that,” his voice was barely audible only loud enough to hear if you strained your ear. “All I do is get you all hurt just for even talking with me. I hate being an outcast, I just want one damn day where I don't feel like someone’s going to hex me when my back is turned. I just want to be normal- I want to be able to hang out with you all without wondering when the next bully will come around and threaten us!” His legs finally gave out from under him, making him fall to his knees with a smack. His arms fell limp to his side, staring once more up towards the ceiling as if it had all the answers he needed.

"Why do I want to be accepted by them? Why can't I just sit down and accept that no one at this school's ever going to like me and let it be that. Why do I feel the need to prove myself- who do I want to prove myself to Selene??" He turned towards her crawling closer to her on his knees with a crazed searching look. He heaved shoulder shaking as he cried harder squeezing his eyes firmly shut as if that would stop his tears.

Gently Selene rested her hand against the top of his head, fingers gently scratching at his scalp. Instead of answering him she began to hum a low soft sound that almost sounded like a lullaby. She was petting him now coxing him to relax, slowly lowering herself onto her knees to be able to wrap an arm around him and bring him into her chest. His sobs were muffled by her robe, staining it with his tears of anguish.

“I think,” Selene gently whispered near his ear, “that you want to prove yourself to us. To show us that you can take everything the school throws at us and force it on yourself. And Gladion,” she hesitated for a split second before cupping his cheek, tilting his head upward to stare into her eyes. Her thumb moved across his cheek wiping away the tear tracks, “You don’t have to do this alone. We can take care of ourselves. It’s sweet to have you protect us but we all can fight our own battles, you need to stick to your own fights.”

He opened his mouth brows furrowing in such a way she knew he was going to start an argument with her. Rolling her eyes at his stubbornness she grabbed half of a cauldron cake from her robe’s pocket stuffing it into his mouth. She mourned the loss of the cake she was saving for later, knowing she won't be able to go into Hogsmeade until the weekend to buy another one.

He choked, eyes growing wide in alarm staring at her in shock. His hands gripped her shoulders, cheeks puffing out with a constipated look on his face, concentrating on trying to chew the food and not die. And what a way it would be to go, choking on cake in an abandoned classroom trashed beyond belief.

His reaction was all the payback she needed making her feel it was worth it. She got him to shut up and make a face that wasn’t his normal frown. Unable to hold back anymore she laughed, eyes crinkling at the edges, doubling over to hide her face into his shoulder muffling it slightly.

When her laughter finally eased up she slowly raised her head only to snort. She couldn’t help it he looked so ridiculous! As if being able to hear her words he send her a petulant look, bottom lip poking out in his sulking. It only made her snort louder and wish to tease him, though she held off not wanting to disturb the peace that finally went over him.

The two stayed in this position for a while and even after he audibly swallowed the cake he stayed silent. His hands moved from her shoulder falling to his side once more following with a deep sigh. By now her knees were starting to hurt and her legs were tingling in that familiar pins and needles way. It was starting to get awkward- it didn’t look like Gladion was going to start moving anytime soon.

As if to prove her wrong he slowly started to stand eye twitching slightly at the pins and needles from his own legs. Holding out a hand he helped her up as well whipping out his wand and using a cleaning spell to get rid of the ink stains. She’d follow suit not familiar with the spell he used but easily copying his movements and pronunciation. She smiled watching as the ink stains slowly disappeared leaving him clean as a whistle.

He appeared impressed brows raised in slight surprise making her preen under the attention. Too bad he had to open up his mouth and speak.

“Now tell me why do you end up with half done assignments if your wand work is that superb?”

“Ughh,” she groaned loudly at the comment deciding to ignore it. “come on Gladion let’s not talk about this we’re missing class!”

He frowned at the obvious subject change, though none the less he nodded following her out of the classroom.

“Before we go-” he pointed his wand at his hair fixing it back into his preferred style and did the same for her. “there now we look presentable.”

And with that, the two were off to try to get to their class and hope they weren't sent to detention for being extremely late.

I used to ship j0nerys until s7 happened then it all ended the moment jon says”I wish you good fourtune in the wars to come” like daaamm boi that was colder than the winter winds lol so after rewatching all of the seasons I got to s6 again&i was like wtf how did I miss jonsa then I checked out both tags&I was so intrigued by the depth of all the jonsa metas all the signs I missed in the show&books(good j0nerys metas are nonexistent)I have to be anon as I fear the J/D ignorance I will receive lol

The whole season was off tbh. I mean the intro b/w the two wasnt toooo bad (they couldve set it up friends to enemies to lovers trope) but everything after that was so go damn cringe worthy

and its little things like that!!! I mean they know how to do romance (and romance in a short time frame; Talisa and Robb anyone???) Plus, the only time that specific line is said like that in the show (theres between ned and arthur, mance and baratheon) is between two enemies (and one ends up dying by the hands of the other too) like how is that not forshadowing????? the fact that he always looks constipated around her, fidgity, wanting to BLATANLY gtfo, never opens up to her (though she tries to open up to him i guess? I see her crush on him, emilia’s eyes are very expressive that way, but d e f not both ways) no real smiles, bonding, jokes, talks, passion (boatfail lmao) a good first kiss, literally anything that makes a romance, well romantic

plus, personality wise, theyre not compatiable at ALL. as danys journey goes on, she’s slowly morphing into everything she never wanted to be. blinded by power (that isnt even hers for the taking). If she had a good heart why didnt she just go to help w the night king (who is a direct threat to people she SAYS she wants to rule and has the best intent for) and deal with all the political stuff after? Cersei would still be there. When Jon had first arrived, she’d still have her alliances to go back to. Plus when he first came she hadnt gained any territory yet either. Why did she say shed only help if he agreed to her demand of subservience??? from a strictly strategical point of view, thats kinda dumb. its comeplely uneccasary from him to bend the knee for her to help. she wouldnt lose anything. in fact, if anything PR wise that wouldve been a great move for, to elimate the threat to literally everyones entire existance, claim victory in the name of westeros as the HERO of westeros, not the foreign conqoureror, and position her self as the champion of the people (compared to cersei) in the name of the people. making bending the knee a requirement for her to help was extremely unnecessary and in the end detrimental. I mean now she has nothing to go to the north in her favor for. If she went before that she’d be the benevalant queen coming to help their king bc she cared about people, and after they were triumphant he could bend the knee and i doubt anyone would complain too much once they saw that she went into the fight w/o ulterior motives etc

And anyways, how is a one sided, psuedo-subserviant relationship not toxic? How is that a relationship to look up to? What kind of role model relationship is that? a freaking bad one I dear say

and yes, the lack of metas always astounded me, even when i shipped them. I mean liked them originally bc of all the “parallels” and stuff but the more i analyzed them, it became clear that they were f o i l s, not parrallels.

I actually stumbled on jonsa by accident. As i slowly became to like Dany’s complex character not as an anti-hero figure, but as the “villian of the other side” or the accidental villian trope, it was around the time i was appreciating sansa more and more. She’s vastly underrated and underestimated both in the show and by fans outside of it, capable and smart.

The thing that struck me most out of s7 was the spoils of war episode, which focused heavily, as a minor detail, on food. At first Daenerys was complaining that she had nothing to feed her extremely large army, that Cersei was already mobolizing all the food in the reach for her own favor. Then we have cersei bragging how she’s taking all the food, basically to fortify the capital and also making it so Dany wouldnt have any, that she could starve them out so to speak. Then we have Sansa, orginizing a way that she could insure the houses under her control had enough food for themselves, but also asking them to send a fair amount to her, so when things hit the fan, these houses and the pople of the north could flee to winterfell, the largest and strongest northern base, and they’d have enough food to feed everyone already living there plus the influx of refugees despite the extremely harsh winter approaching. Then of course, we have Dany’s feild of fire 2.0 where she first went after the soldiers, then deliberately targeting the food meant to feed the people of westeros during the winter (and the food she jsut complained about needing), then back to the soldiers.

Out of all the potential queens, I made my choice there.

Jonsa snuck up on me. I so much loved their relationship in s6, it was so beautiful, the bonding, the reunion, the support of one other. I liked that they argued over legitimate differences, before settling on a choice. I read a few jonsa metas then, and at that point i was pretty much okay with either option, but once s7 came i completly and fully jumped ship so to speak. I re analyzed my take on dany, my opinion on jon’s characterization, and reaffirmed my love for sansa. I read more jonsa metas and coupled with such a warm fandom that jonsa has (we can actually debate diff point of views respectfully for one, we support each other for two - kinda like jon and sansa’s relationship lmao) alas was hooked!

Im sorry for the fear of coming off anon :/ for a while I kept my mouth shut too, and when i finally went more public I got some similar treatment so I entirely understand

IT (1986)

What is it about? The Losers Club, a group of 7 kids that in different ways are outsiders among the other children in the little town of Derry must come back 27 years after defeating their worst fears embodied in a evil alien entity that has preyed on this small Maine town and its recidents since the dawn of time. Thoughts: - I have read this book a gazillion times and it’s my favorite Stephen King book of all time (though that may change once I finish this challenge, but only time will tell) everytime I read through its pages is like reuniting with an old dear friend, because most of the characters (read: the Losers Club) are just that for me, I read this book for the first time when I was 15 after growing up with the 90’s miniseries, and I loved it, that feeling hasn’t changed with the years and well I want to elaborate a bit on what I love about this book. - Derry’s history: One of the reasons this book is so damn big is that it delves on the history of this little town called Derry, of course this is to help the reader understand just for how long and how big is IT’s influence on the town, but I just found it so fascinating, I’ve always loved history, and this book just reaaaally fullfiled my needs in that aspect, the town’s history is full of gruesome events but it’s very intresting and through all the same. -Loser’s Club: I love this kids, we are introduced to them little by little through different POV’s and god, I just really like the diversity and complexity in them: a kid with a stutter, an asthmatic that is really a kid heavily manipulated by his overprotective mother, an overweight, a jewish with OCD, a girl victim of physical/emotional parental abuse, the class clown that most likely has ADHD, the only black boy in town… And what I love the most is that they are NOT defined by that, sure,that is how the world sees them but they are so much more than that and together they find their true identities: Stuttering Bill be comes the Leader, Asthmatic Eddie becomes the Compass, Fat Ben becomes the Constructor, Jewish Stan becomes the Logic, Poor Beverly becomes the Shooter, Trashmouth Richie becomes the Weapon (his voces physically hurt IT), Black Mike becomes the Historian. As well as the belonging and friendship they had never had before, their relationship is strong and beautiful, as a reader you will most often find some of yourself in them and even if you don’t you love them all the same for their flaws and virtues. -IT: I read somewhere that a story is only as great as its villian and in IT’s case that I think is only fitting, thus my love for is evil entity, because IT is really a big represantation of violence not necessarily(The Bradley Gang Shooting was afterall motivated by the Derry townsfolk rightgeousness) but mostly evil, IT transforms into awfull gruesome monsters yet his most terrifying act is the influence it helds on the people inhabiting Derry, on taking the violent nature of some people (Derry’s White Decency League, Eddie Corcoran stepfather’s, Alvin Marsh, Butch and Henry Bowers…) and exploit it for its own gain, IT is scary for it’s power, for the fact that one can really comprehend it’s magitude, and when we finally get to get inside it’s head we find something more akin to a beast, hungry and vengeful, he had turned lazy because he already had in Derry a comfortable feeding place and now wants to kill the Loser’s Club because for the first time in its long existance IT feels fear! and how wonderful is that? a group of scared isolated kids find strenght in each other to rid their Town and follow kids of this entity, even if they are afraid themselves, and they succeed in frightening a creature that literally feeds of fear. -The portrayal of the timelines and gruesome subjects: The 1950 are not usted only for aesthetics or praised as the “good old times” King shows a very gritty reality showcasing the racism (very prominent in Mike’s storyline), sexism, homophobia, domestic violence, anti-semitism,and it goes further yet showing that 27 years later these things haven’t changed and IT uses them for it’s benefit. The book doesn’t shy away from any of these things and often it is very hard to read through them but as well I think is important to read them to gain concience,they are not presented as good or romantiziced in any from or way, nor should they ever be (dude the anti-semitism in Patricia Uris’s POV is something that will open your eyes in many ways if you are not jewish, and the Black Spot story will horrify you but also help you understand it was not only the South of USA and the KKK that spread hate and horror for PoC people) this things are meant to horrify you thus I feel it would be a disservice not to read them (though I can understand if anyone simply can’t). -The bittersweet ending: Really heart breaking that after reuniting with the people they could really be themselves with the Loser’s Club are meant to not remember each other ( SPOILERS AHEAD DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANNA SPOIL PART OF THE ENDING OF THE BOOK: as a side note and I do not mean this as hate to the ship or anything but a real doubt I have can anyone explain to me why is everyone saying/asuming Ben and Beverly did end up together?, I mean going by the 90’s miniseries sure, but in the book Mike only says she is going to Nebraska with Ben and then back to Chicago with Kay and that he thinks they are/will be having sex, but also later we find that even if they are in the same Town Mike and Bill have begun to forget each other and it’s heavily implied the same will happen with them all? and that is a very Stephen King thing to do I mean most of the book couples I’ve read from him have similar bittersweet endings so… Pls someone explain) I just always about cry about the End and you know the THING that happens with two of the losers. But also I am a ho for this kind of bittersweet stuff so of course I love it. -Richie and Beverly’s friendship: Listen I LIVE for them, of course I just about adore every Loser’s friendship (Bill/Eddie, Richie/Stan, Richie/Eddie, Richie/Bill, Mike/Ben, Stan/Bev duuuude everyone is amazing) but this two just about make me crazy about them, tbh I kinda lowkey ship them in a platonic kinda way, and I was endlessly frustrated by the lack of scenes between them in the 90’s miniseries after I read the book cuz booooy, the yo-yo scene is so goddamned amazing, Richie being the first POV in which Bev is mentioned and he reminds her through the lyric of a song, his Humphrey Bogart voice he does when speaking with her, how much he respects her, also Miss Sca'lett!!!, not to mention that sweet ass scene they have in the book “22/11/63” where Bev is teaching Richie how to swing for a school talent show, ahhhh Imma stop right there cuz I am fangirling waaaay to much and probably y'all think I am wierd for liking such an unpopular thing. -There is just one thing I always felt was completely unecessary to add and was gross to read (you already know what I am talking about and if not I’m not gonna spoil you/gross you out), I have read of course why SK did it but I still think he should have looked for another way to make the Losers enter adulthood : / Movie/TV Adaptations: There are 2: The ABC’s 1990 miniseries “IT” and the 2017 movie by Andy Muschietti “IT (chapter 1)” of course it has been already confirmed there is going to be another movie for the Second part but I will not to go too much into it now. 1990: The opinions on this one are very polarized, some love it with a passion, some hate it… I actually love it, and by that I do not mean is a perfect adaptation, but it was such an integral part of my childhood and family life that it would be impossible for me to hate it, and I feel most people are terribly unfair with it, because it is not a Bad adaptation like let’s say Kubrick’s Shining (yaa I’m going there) it had a lot of limitations in budget and technology and still managed to capture some of the best parts of the book (the Loser’s friendship mainly, it was beautiful) of course it wasn’t gorey or violent but in it’s time it was scary as hell, which beings me to Tim Curry’s performance as Pennywise that became so iconic people automatically recognize the clown’s design, for fuck’s sake Pennywise became one of the most iconic monsters of that time and terrorized an entire generation of kids and adults alike, of course it has it’s faults (the adult’s part wasn’t great, tho the scene with Bev in Mrs. Kersh house was great, and the ending was bound to be confusing af to people that didn’t read the book) but overall it was a good atempt and it already has a place in pop culture and the hearts of many horror fans. 2017: Oh boy I was really looking forward to this one since they anounced it was going to be a thing (ahhh remember the time Will Poulter and Cary Fukunaga were our only hope?) and just had the chance to see it today, because a lot of awful things happened in my country (I am mexican btw) and yeah, so I left the theater with a very pleasant sensation IT 2017 is a great movie and I LOVED it, the acting was GREAT everyone did amazing, Georgie’s death scene was simply amazing and so sad, the projector scene was wow, lots of winks to book readers like the turtle and Eddie Corcoran’s missing pamphlet, Bev’s bathroom scene, the rock fight!!!,Eddie changing Loser to Lover is iconic, some of Richie’s one-liners were amazing, Pennywise dance pfffftt, Ben was adorable with his crush and love of New Kids on the Block, the Losers,“they’re Gazebos they’re bullshit!” iconic, mainly I feel it captured the general feeling of the book however that does not mean I didn’t had some issues with it as well, first thing that bothered me a LOT is the treatment to Mike Hanlon, excuse the fuck out of me but no, they took his thing (history of Derry) and gave it to Ben (also Ben not constructing things like ??? Could have been a perfect chance to have him build lego stuff but k) where is my beautiful spring loving child?? I just couldn’t find any single trait on his character apart from the wierd sheep thing and his parents, which takes me to another issue why is every adult on Derry so shitty? Like yeah there was a lot of shady awful stuff in the book but there were also ok people namely Mrs. Starret (the librarian, that is so unnecesarily creppy? Wierd? In the movie), Richie’s parents (his dad is hillarious), Mike’s parents they are the best tbh, Mr Keene (ok this one is a sarcastic asshole but he did try to help Eddie instead of letting him keep on believing he was sick to keep selling stuff, and also was never a wierd pervert), Mr. Nell (dude I would have killed to hear Richie doing the Irish Cop voice), the Tracker Brothers (boy Eddie looking longingly at the baseball diamond would have been 10/10, my boy loved sports)… thing is the Losers did love Derry and some parts of their childhood in it and that’s were the nostalgia hits on part two, Stan well I loved they delved more onto his jewishness (a thing not much touched in the book because Stan’s family is not very strictly religious) but was very side lined as well ( in my opinion that part about Richie being scared shitless and Bill punches him would have fit Stan better, also almost all of the Losers got closure (Bev rebelled against her father, Ben kissed Beverly and she got to find out he was the one who wrote the haiku, Bill got to talk with Georgie kind of?, Mike stepped up against Henry, Eddie confronted his mother,Richie let go of his fear to kill the fucking clown…) yet Stan doesn’t I just think it would have been nice to have him iniciate the pact as he did on the book and also his bird book????, the slut shaming and over sexualization of Beverly (I won’t even go into how much it broke my heart to see/hear Richie saying all that stuff about her like no, he respected her a lot thx) just why change the white trash problem to a slut shaming thing???(also while his dad did not beat her in this movie he was so much more GROSS than in the 90’s) I am however not bothered by the ‘Kiss of Life’ trope nor do I think she was reduced to a damsel in distress if anything she was the bravest of them all, also some things not really bothered me but made me wonder what will happen in Chapter 2 namely wft is gonna happen with Henry is he alive?? Same for Bev’s dad what happened there? Is he alive? Is he dead? Though of course we will get answers in chapter 2 I was just like wow how is this gonna pan out. Basically an amazing movie I was not disappointed at all and I would love to watch it again but as an adaptation I think I would still love to see a longish miniseries covering more of Derry’s history and the kid’s personalities/misadventures (of course I do not want THAT scene to be in any adaptation ever) but generally covering more book stuff. but hey all this is just my humble opinion and I admit I adore the book, though I am not closed off to changes just those things kinda made me go hmmmmmm…. Quotes: Stan: “Every- thing’s a lot tougher when it’s for real. That’s when you choke. When it’s for real.” “He wanted to tell them that those dead boys who had lurched and shambled their way down the spiral staircase had done something worse than frighten him: they had offended him.” Bill: “If fiction and politics ever really do become interchangeable, I’m going to kill myself, because I won’t know what else to do. You see, politics always change. Stories never do” “Silver flew and Stuttering Bill Denbrough flew with him; their gantry-like shadow fled behind them. They raced down Up-Mile Hill together; the playing cards roared. Bill’s feet found the pedals again and he began to pump, wanting to go even faster, wanting to reach some hypothetical speed — not of sound but of memory — and crash through the pain barrier.” Richie:“Now he had to go back to being himself, and that was hard — it got harder to do that every year. It was easier to be brave when you were someone else.” “He knew a great deal of the Bible already, and he knew the Bible believed in all sorts of weird stuff. According to the Bible, God Himself was at least one-third Ghost, and that was just the beginning. You could tell the Bible believed in demons, because Jesus threw a bunch of them out of this guy. Real chuckalicious ones, too. When Jesus asked the guy who had them what his name was, the demons answered and told Him to go join the Foreign Legion. Ben Hanscom had no sense of being lonely because he had never been anything but. God this scene kills me for so many reasons.

I see a lot of people so confused about why Theo was trusted over Stiles. I was too the first time I watched the show. It wasn't until I went back & watch a couple episodes of season 5 did I realize why Theo was successful in actually killing Scott. He's the only villian who managed that by the way.

Not even Void Stiles (arguably Teen Wolf's best villian) managed that.

Knowing everything I know now about Scott the reason Theo was so trusted is because Theo kissed Scott's ass. Theo was the biggest brown nose on the fucking show when it came to Scott. The moment he & Scott met he turned on the fucking charm, "I'm all alone & heard you have a strong pack" *puppy eyes*, "my friend Scott is a true alpha that's why I came back [to Beacon Hills]", & that whole story about how Scott told him about what happens in the ER when they were kids to calm him down! Theo fucking stroked the shit out of Scott's God complex with that one I'm surprised he didn't cum in the locker room.

Theo didn't give a shit about Scott, we see that when his plan is revealed as killing Scott to take his pack but he ACTED like he did. He showered Scott with so many compliments homeboy was soaked whenever Theo came around.

Now back to Stiles. The whole season he warned Scott & everyone about Theo. He constantly criticized Scott for trusting everyone including Peter before. He gave Scott the truth at every turn no matter how hurtful because that's what friends do. That bothered Scott "ego" McCall to no end though because he has to be right, he has to be the savior, he has to be the special one.

So why did he disregard Stiles so quickly for Theo? Because Stiles didn't feed his ego like Theo did. Stiles never did & never will. That's why Theo succeeded. That's why Stiles was abandoned. That's why all the shit in season 5 on went down because Scott "I'm a true alpha" McCall couldn't look past his ego to stop all hell from breaking loose.

Also never forget this was supposed to be a Sterek scene in a different context. It was stolen from Tyler Hoechlin & Dylan O'Brien & turned into this mess.

Where were you? You trusted him. You believed him. Right, huh? So, where were you?

Justice League doesn't suck ...

Sometimes it pays to see a movie with low expectations.

I admit that my primary intetest in Justice League was because I had enjoyed Wonder Woman so much. I haven't seen Batman vs Superman, and so I'm not familiar with the Ben Affleck Batman nor whomever it is that plays Superman (I know, I could look it up but I'm feeling lazy at the moment and I truly don't know). Nor am I familiar with the actors that play Cyborg, Aquaman and the Flash. I take it that this is their first appearance in the current redering of DC universe movies.

After watching the Wonder Woman movie, I had to keep reminding myself that she is not Marvel as I enjoyed the film so much. Not all of their films are great but they seemed to have mined more succesd recently than have the DC-based films.

I probably wouldn't have much problem with Ben Affleck as Batman except that he's simply too familiar when he's onscreen. When you see him you don't think, "that's Bruce Wayne" or "that's Batman." You think, "that's Ben Affleck."

I will note that I was not a fan of the Christian Bale incarnation. If they could find a convincing actor who isn't already famous, that may be the best choice. If they did that, though, the actor would run the risk of being locked in a role from which he may not escape.

The Superman character isn't provided a great deal of screen time. Superman has always been a challenge to make interesting on screen. My wife and I were fans of Smallville on TV and feel they did a good job. He spent less time being super than he did being an alien trying to find his way through the challenges of being a teenager and growing into his powers. Could they get away with an adult version of that? Maybe, but not in Justice League where, by definition, it's about costumed heroes fighting together in their club.

Okay, so I had heard the reviews were poor and I had recently seen Thor (a film I enjoyed) so odds are this film would be a disappointment. As is often the case, a few minutes into the film, my eyelids began to droop. I tried to fight it but eventually succumbed. After my brief nap; however (haha), I was ready for the rest of the film.

The plot is not all that complicated and neither is the villian. Intergalactic villians don't get to be as complex as nasties like the Joker or Lex Luthor. However, if you're going to bring the team together it better be fight with an ensemble of villians or one super big evil dude and they chose the latter.

Steppenwolf (like the name 😊) is the character and he is aided by a vast swarm of who knows what flying things that look like vicious clones of The Tick's sidekick.

After getting level set on what Steppenwolf's goals are we spend a little time on team building and identifying the particular sources of angst each of the characters brings with them.

Of these, the Flash is the one that gets to be funny and they use it to decent effect. I'm not sure that the character developed any chemistry with the others or is the type to become an audience favorite but he looked like he was having fun. I enjoyed the scene where Bruce Wayne meets him. He's squirreled away in his own world filled with science stuff and entertainment sine he's socially awkward and finds solace in his gadgetry. The K-pop group, Blackpink, is doing their hit song on one of the monitors (something I would not know, save for Instagram) and they feed you one or more current cultural references that are unfamiliar to me.

Now may be a good time to mention this. The plot revolves around Steppenwolf acquiring three cubes and putting them together. If he does, it spells doom for the Earth, blah blah, etc etc. I mean, look, I didn't read the script and you can't expect me to hear this in the movie and remember it, can you?

Anyway, these things are ancient and to keep them out of the hands of baddies they gave one to the Amazons, one to the Atlantians and one to men. So, the Amazons put theirs in their citadel, the Atlantians kept theirs in some stronghold and men dug what appeared to be a 6 foot deep hole in the ground ... hmmm.

Cyborg has issues and Aquaman has issues and it's hard to develop everyone in a film like this, but just go with it.

Metropolis looks a lot like Chicago and some of the story is uneven but there's plenty of action and, hey, it's a comic book movie!
