sometimes stories present a character and want you to think they're a good guy with asshole tendencies when really they're an asshole with good guy tendencies
go ahead and ignore the tags they don't say anything important
#this is mainly about hercule/mr satan from dragon ball z#the guy who takes credit for beating cell and befriends buu despite trying to kill him the whole time#and he does help save the world from kid buu but he does so under false pretenses#he may be strong among normal people but he's also a liar and a con. i don't hate him for being weak and overconfident-#i hate him for being a liar and a coward#this also somewhat applies to bulma (at least in dbzk (i don't remember her being like this in the manga))#because she scolds gohan like he's an adult when he's like 5#wonders if she should have gotten with goku when she met him when he was like 11 (she did this in the manga too though)#and attempts to abandon piccolo on namek when he'd been on their side since raditz landed#i also just don't like her as a character because she and chi-chi are misogynistic caricatures#the only decent female character that comes to mind is videl and she hasn't shown up yet in the anime (i've only read the manga)#android 18 doesn't count because she barely has a personality in the manga other than she's fashion conscious and likes krillin#fire.txt

I literally dont know how to continue explaining to people that part of the reason Goku decided to stay dead was because Gohan hated fighting.
He didnt know this until cell. He literally had no idea. Gohan NEVER gave any indication whatsoever. Couple that with the fact Bulma pointed out most of people threatening the Earth during that point in time were all people wanting Goku. The saiyans. Frieza. The androids. Doctor Gero. Cell.
All because of Goku. Its not his fault but his very existence consistently put the Earth in danger. He truly believed Earth would be safer without him and therefore, gohan wouldnt be consistently placed into battle.
Because Goku didnt know gohan hated fighting. But once he knew came the very interwoven nature of these threats he brought making his own son fight because gohan felt he HAD to. Not because he wanted to. For goku, protecting the earth always aligned with his own love for fighting. But gohan fought out of necessity, out of the very idea that they couldnt afford to do it without him. He has this power he didnt ask for so he must use it right? Because it would be selfish if he didnt.
But goku... goku thought gohan was like him. Gohan WANTED to return to help fight vegeta. He WANTED to go to namek. He WANTED to stay and fight after piccolo almost died to frieza. Goku didnt see gohan train that first year. Didnt witness what it took to make gohan a fighter. All he saw was his son who now was strong and wanted to join the fight like his dad. And he knows gohan is more powerful than them, knows he can stop cell, FELT IT. Gohan has to defeat cell because no one else can. So he thinks if gohan gets angry enough fighting cell, itll be the answer. Because thats how its always been for goku. And in thirty seconds piccolo makes him realize he's wrong. He doesnt argue back, he listens and concedes and realizes that piccolo is right. And suddenly goku wants to abandon his plan and stop the fight. He made a mistake. He intends to get gohan out. And in the end, he still ended up being right, but it doesnt change what goku now knows. Gohan isnt like him and he doesnt enjoy fighting.
Goku would have NEVER made gohan fight if he thought he didnt want to. You know this whenever adult gohan gets involved in a fight and goku apologizes that he had to. Or when someone suggests gohan for a battle and goku is like nah he's "out of practice," even when they have time FOR PRACTICE. He never wants to force gohan into a situation like cell again. Because cell was a mistake and goku has learned from it. So he never asks Gohan to fight anymore. If Gohan wants in then of course he's in. But he wants his son to be able to choose that. He wants gohan to be HAPPY and if thats not fighting then thats perfectly alright with goku.
So it wasnt just about keeping the earth safe. Or his friends. It was knowing that in the safety of gokus absence, gohan wouldnt have to fight either. There would be less threats, less chances of his son being forced into battle. And sure he also trusted that gohan and the others could keep the earth safe if they had to, but he was banking on the threat level significantly decreasing instead.
And decrease it did. They had seven whole years of peace. Not a single threat. Meanwhile from the moment Raditz shows up to gokus death to cell, it all takes place within the span of FIVE YEARS. The longest they went without a threat was the three year gap spent training for the androids. And they spent every waking moment knowing they were coming.
And then if you look at trunks future... majority of the human population being wiped out by the androids. Majority of gokus friends. His son. All dead. Because of him. Because he defeated the red ribbon army when he was a child. And that very easily could have been their future as well. So Goku does his job in preventing that. He saves all of them. And if hes the only one who ends up dead, well... it doesnt matter. Because they aren't. And he intends to keep it that way. So he stays in otherworld, to keep them safe and to give his son a future that he can choose. If Gohan has to fight, then he can. But at least his father wouldnt be the one bringing the threats to his door.
#goku has depth#and im tired of arguing this point#LOOK DEEPER FOR TWO SECONDS PLEASE#Gokus reaction to finding out gohan doesnt like to fight#his sacrifice#and his decision after#im tired of people acting all the time like goku would have wanted to remain dead and therefore never see his wife or son or friends again#hes content in the knowledge that this is the best decision FOR THEM#he makes that decision#for them#not for himself#goku#dragon ball#son goku#goku is a good dad#dragon ball z#dragon ball z kai#gohan#son gohan#goku and gohan#dragon ball rant#my rant#dragon ball super#dbz#dbs#cell saga#android saga#saiyan saga#frieza saga#kakarot

piccolo x gn!reader. fluff, mostly prose. | divider by @cafekitsune, wc 831
There’s a serenity to the moments that Piccolo spends with you that he has been unable to capture anywhere else on this planet called Earth. The gentle rustle of the grassy plains is sometimes the only sound breaking up his shouts and breathing as he moves, hurling blasts of energy toward rocks or trees or whatever he has deemed a worthy inanimate opponent for the day.
Narrowing his eyes, focusing them on a distance that is further away than he expected, he finds you in the same spot he left you in. Laying on your back in the grass, surrounded by a riot of brightly colored wildflowers, hands folded beneath your head. The earth rustles, he can hear it thanks to his adept ability to hear, telling him that you’re moving.
You flip from back to belly, swinging your legs behind you while shouting at him from a distance.
“Hey, why’d you stop? You were starting to lull me to sleep.”
The bass of one of his deep chuckles is carried along the wind to you. It’s impossible to see him from this far away and sadly you were not blessed with the same exceptional vision he boasts, but you can recall his smile as easily as you take a breath. The curve of his mouth, the upturned corners of his lips, the gentle crinkle that has gradually carved itself into the corners of his eyes.
He’d laugh at you if you said it but you can’t help but find him a little beautiful, especially that rarely seen smile.
“You’re a terrible audience,” he finally shouts back, voice tinged with the faintest hint of amusement.
Truth be told, he’s too distracted to keep working at the level he wants to. Going all in wouldn’t scare you, he knows that, but he’s frankly annoyed that the thought even came to mind. Why does he care so much what a nosy human thinks of him?
Being surrounded by humankind constantly has softened the man, a reality he works so tirelessly to avoid facing. Unfortunately, your unexpected appearances over the spring and summer have not helped him become stronger or less aware of his own weaknesses.
You lay in that soft, green grass and feed him food that isn’t native to his kind although it’s what he’s used to eating, handmade and wrapped in a soft linen cloth. He knows if he walked over right now you’d extend a wrapped parcel upward toward him, smiling as brightly as the beating summer sun. It’s the same as it has been since the first day you sauntered out here from your village on the other side of the prairie, drawn out into the vast miles of nothingness by the unignorable sounds of fighting.
Little did you know you stumbled upon a stranger’s training session.
Since then, the two of you have shared star flecked evenings. You’ve asked him every time to point out where the planets he has been to from a distance, nothing but dots hanging through endless dark. It’s easy to oblige you so he has. He’s traced a path with a long finger across the sky and billions of miles. He has dared to point toward where Namek, his home planet, used to be. It’s very likely that the area he pointed to is incorrect but he felt a pull in his chest that convinced him he couldn’t have been that far off track.
In all the time he’s spent here, decades now, he’s never searched for the love that his friends have.
He’s never coveted a wife or children, content to be a party to the joy of others. An uncle, a brother, a friend yet you make him feel something different. There’s an energy that exists between people who care about one another unconditionally. He feels it in the aura that rolls off of Gohan when he looks at his daughter or Vegeta when he discusses his wife.
That’s the energy that exists between the two of you. It’s static and comfortable. Never judgemental or in a hurry, a relaxed and slow appreciation shared between two sentient beings trying to figure out their place in a world that is ever changing. The circumstances look different for each of you, a human and a Namekian, but you have never treated him differently because of this.
You embody all of the best things he has ever managed to see in oft unreasonable humans. Kind, but intelligent. Giving with your presence and time, but aware of when to take your leave. Or even better, when to arrive.
He watches you rise and bound his direction through the overgrown grass, bag slung over your shoulder. Clearly you’ve lazed about and watched the clouds for long enough, it’s time to eat. A soft smile comes over his distinctly inhuman features and he reaches toward his mouth to touch it. To press his fingers against the evidence of his own happiness.
That damn human sentimentality is unavoidable.

I’ve been thinking recently about how a key aspect of Steven Universe is that Steven is placed in the narrative position of what might normally be filled by a standard fantasy-hero-shounen-protagonist-guy, while EVERYTHING about Steven as a character is all about going in basically the exact OPPOSITE direction of that archetype. To the point where the one time he actually TRIES acting like some typical shounen-protag to solve his problems in Future, it’s presented as this gross, twisted perversion of his character that goes horribly, HORRIBLY wrong. Basically, the show makes it clear that Steven trying to act like your standard ‘cool, badass anime hero guy’ is very much a BAD and WRONG thing. Like in anime terms, Steven is essentially a Magical Girl placed in a position that was meant for a Shounen Hero. Or in a more specific reference building off of the show’s numerous references to Dragon Ball Z, Steven essentially represents a take on Gohan who’s kindness and pacifism are ultimately allowed to be presented and emphasized as a strength rather than a weakness.
Yet the flipside of all this is that even in their few appearances, has anyone else noticed that Stevonnie shows quite a few of these ‘cool, badass anime hero guy’ traits? They have a cool sword, they race cars, they fight space battles in a starfighter, they get badass fight scenes like getting to 1v1 Jasper and get to say cool one-liners. And the funny thing is, NONE of these are ever presented as somehow ‘wrong’ for the character. Heck, going off of the same references to Dragon Ball Z, Stevonnie has a bunch of design similarities to Future Trunks of all characters, one of THE iconic ‘cool, badass anime hero guys’.
And I think that’s really interesting.
Like in-universe, it says some interesting things about how Fusion works. That Steven himself trying to act like a cool, badass anime hero guy is a BAD thing because it leads him to start rejecting many of the core aspects of who he is as a person, namely his kindness and empathy.
Whereas Stevonnie is their OWN person, distinct from Steven and can exhibit these traits just fine because they clearly got them from Connie. They clearly haven’t abandoned or rejected any of the core aspects of Steven such as his kindness and empathy, they just ALSO have all this other stuff from Connie as well and can exhibit these traits without actually losing anything. They are after all, everything from Steven and Connie and more.
And narratively, I think it makes for a fun inversion. Steven represents this big subversive take on the typical fantasy hero archetype by being this young BOY with a big, heroic destiny who is defined by his kindness, empathy, emotions, a general disdain for solving problems through fighting and generally rejecting the typical ‘cool, badass, anime hero guy’ traits.
So it’s actually rather fitting that it is the non-binary, intersex, very-much-NOT-cisgender-male, fusion Stevonnie who ends up getting to do more traditional ‘cool, badass, anime hero guy’ stuff. Who in turn got much of those traits NOT from Steven, but from his best-friend/partner/girlfriend Connie.
And I just think that’s pretty cool, you know? Particularly when imagining a permafused Stevonnie. Like I think its fun to imagine an alternate take on the later seasons of the show, or just post-series, with a permafused Stevonnie doing more traditional anime-protagonist stuff that would otherwise feel out of place with Steven, but doesn’t feel out of place with them.
For example, Steven never went through any kind of big ‘training arc’ like so many anime heroes because that just doesn’t fit who he is. Steven is not a ‘fighter’, he always tries to talk things out before things turn to combat. So it makes sense that he wouldn’t directly pursue training to become a better fighter on his own.
But Connie DID. And of course that wasn’t presented in and of itself a bad thing. Which as an aside, is interesting for Steven as his joining was more to support Connie rather being presented as something he needed to do himself.
And speaking of fighting, this is another place where the differences between Steven and Connie make Stevonnie in turn all the more INTERESTING. Because whereas Steven isn’t a fighter, Connie very much IS. The symbolic sword to Steven’s shield.
Now where this gets interesting is that in practice, Connie generally follows Steven’s lead. We see a number of instances wherein Connie likely wants to or even is full-on about to launch into a fight, but backs down because Steven wants to talk things out. Connie may be a fighter, but she also generally defers to Steven.
But what happens when these two aspects are coexisting in the same person? What happens when Connie’s preference towards fighting isn’t deferring to Steven’s preference towards non-violence, but is rather exhibited right alongside it? And because of that is seen by Stevonnie as a much more valid option?
What does Stevonnie’s response to conflict look like when they’re much more of a fighter like Connie, while still retaining Steven’s intrinsic kindness and empathy?
Personally, I imagine Stevonnie actually being a fair bit like Ruby Rose, ie; someone who often tries to talk things out, while also not hesitating to jump into a fight if people aren’t willing to negotiate. Perhaps even reading the situation/people enough to get a preemptive strike off.
And all that is just one aspect of what I think makes Stevonnie so compelling as a character.
#steven universe#Stevonnie#steven universe analysis#su#steven quartz universe#connie maheswaran#steven universe dragon ball references#rambling about my favorite su character#i think they're neat#did anyone else really want an arc of episodes where stevonnie just stayed fused?#like jungle moon but like four or five episodes?

Fluffy Headcanons | Gohan Edition!
you just know he’s treating you so damn well honestly. He’s just such a wholesome boy and definitely a bit of a simp too. He’s always taking you out on little dates to coffee shops, the movies and really lovely restaurants, spoiling you in the process.
he’s so bashful with you it’s so cute. When you made the first move and held his hand on your first date he turned into a stammering mess, his cheeks blushing bright red.
he does love physical affection and PDA. He loves holding your hand in public, kissing your cheek, kissing your forehead the lot.
he definitely loves cuddling, it’s his favourite thing to do with you. He loves being cuddled up in blankets watching films or playing games with you. On one of your first times staying at his house you both built a fort out of mattresses, pillows and blankets and slept in it. Gohan kinda likes being the little spoon when you guys spoon, nothing wrong with that!
meeting his mother was scary for both you and him. Chi-Chi only wants Gohan to be with the best but over time she really grew to like you. You get on very well with his family due to how close they all are.
on top of that you also had to be approved by Piccolo. Piccolo was very skeptical as in his eyes you were a weak earthling but after he saw how happy you and Gohan are together he changed his tune.
when he first told you about The Great Saiyaman you did think it was a joke however you share laughter over it.
you love stealing his glasses and wearing them yourself. He always blushes when you steal them from his face.
kinda a bit of a sadder one but I genuinely imagine that he’s a little bit traumatised after all the events of DBZ that he really needs a lot of reassurance and care. It took him a long time to warm up to you. You do give him that which draws him in so much closer to you. He has episodes where he thinks about everything and gets upset but you’re always there for him - I also see this as the reason he hates fighting as an adult, he just wants a safe and simple life. He definitely would have survivor’s guilt.

what's the deal with these two...
Seriously. Why is the suspicion and joking of their bromance even a thing that exists (outside of just shipping for shipping's sake and ppl making every male friendship a secretly frustrated gay relationship). Is it even a thing?
Do I ship Goku and Vegeta?... yes.. yes I do, I confess myself as part of the problem. But I feel is fair that in a show like Dragon Ball where there's sexually mature references and themes at times I can give myself the freedom to wonder. So i'mmana talk about two pivotal moments that marked a before and after for both of them together as a team: their Majin saga match and the fusion.
//////
As far as the show goes, there's not really much to go off of. They clearly both have their wives whom they both love very much, children, they love to battle and test themselves, they are bros (now at least), rivals for life, they better each other by challenging one another to get better.
On the other hand my autism tells me that that's not the whole story. Because I normally don't like to take things at face value when i can see more.
Is interesting to see how both, Goku's compassion and respect for Vegeta, and Vegeta's (albeit unhealthy) obsession over Goku, the fact that they were also the last of their kind and the only ones that could compete with each other to fight between themselves and against others (discounting Gohan since he always slacked on his training and wasn't really interested on fighting), the only ones that could understand how the other felt as being pure blooded, that Goku had a living example in Vegeta of his true origins to learn more about himself (like a walking Saiyan enciclopedia), that Vegeta had in Goku a new purpose in life (until he realized what he had with his family as well), all of that with time combined to create a dynamic where they both felt comfortable with each other, it made them be naturally closer than the rest of the cast (even if it was in rivalry terms). They famously became companions, with time forming friendship/friendly rivalry and some could even see them now being akin to brothers. Something that as much as Krilin was Goku's life long friend and will be forever he could never really fulfill all that Vegeta came to develop with Goku. And in a way I don't think anyone can either.
But there's also an important note to make about this relationship/friendship. Vegeta is the one that gives it more meaning than Goku does (at first). I feel like Goku is simply being his loving caring happy free self, while Vegeta takes it personal and takes so much weight on what Goku says and does and how it affects him (like Goku is just vibing while Vegeta is oozing jealousy towards Goku). As he later puts in words in Super (Granola arc i think), Goku is an egotist while he himself is an egocentric. And that difference is important to get to the point because from now on for a while the question is "Why does Vegeta".
Why does Vegeta put so much weight in their fight in the Majin Saga that he's willing to kill innocent people again just to have a match with Goku (going with the latin dub again since is more accurate to the original japanese one). And it isn't just about his ego, is about what he doesn't say as well.
Why is Vegeta the only character that is so against fusion, with Goku specifically because he has only fused with him and we don't know how would he react to fusing with someone else if it's needed.
Why is Vegeta so averse to touching Goku. At least after their fight and after him dying in the Majin Saga and once he is allowed to go back to Earth.
Why on the brink of the universe destruction was Vegeta acting like a cheated on girlfriend when he discovered that Goku had a new transformation and didn't told him about it (I would be mad at him too to be fair but i also understand why Goku wouldn't want to do so and he did it to not hurt Vegeta's feelings and have a good time under fair conditions. he gets half a point for the sentiment).
The Majin Saga
From all the examples people like to pull up when trying to argument sexual tension between these two there's only a few that I feel have some significance. And I can tell you when did it cooked enough to be a possibility. And that is right when Goku announced he was going to go back to Earth for one day and one day only, presumably forever. That's where something started, but it was brewing since Goku died to Cell and Vegeta lost Goku, his purpose, his obsession, his will to fight, and entered a depressive episode that lasted 2 years (aprox, since Bulma tells Chichi that Vegeta had been training for the last 5 years in the 7 year time skip). He honestly was a mess of a person right around that time. He couldn't even call himself a warrior under his own standards, he was trying to cope with the fact that he messed up with future Trunks and would have to change with his own present Trunks, he got stuck not being able to prove himself, etc.
Once he knew Goku was coming back he just had to do anything in his power to fight against him again, no matter what it took (he looks so excited too, that's cute). His entire meaning as the person he perceived he was and his meaning as a warrior and Goku's foil depended on it. He actually was in good terms with Goku up to here though (while in the Cell saga he was pretty much amicably antagonizing Goku for the most part, and the other spent feeling jealous). Agreeing to the tournament rules, being patient, enjoying meals together, bragging about his kid. But after realizing that they might not have their match because of Supreme Kio's pink menace, nothing else mattered, not Bulma, not Trunks, not the Earth or the universe or everything he had been building for so many years without Goku. Goku was the single catalyst for his relapse. Like... how is it possible that fighting with him and proving his worth is more important that it's been a rock in his boots for years now. But ok, he's a warrior so I can understand why, also because he was going through a Major (with capital M) identity crisis where he's trying to negate his newfound value in his family and new home while thinking that is what was making him weak, though he never really believed that since he knew Goku never needed to be cruel to surpass him, it was just a jolt reaction to not knowing how to handle it, and Goku could see through that very clearly by asking him if he really believed that bs about feeling good by being cruel and being a slave of his own mind.
But the thing is that during their fight it is clear that more than winning (which he would have enjoy to no end if they finished their fight and Goku didn't had a new plot convenient powerup hiding under his eyebrows again, though that wouldn't have helped him to grow), both were very much enjoying the act of fighting (since Goku said he wanted to end the fight soon so Buu doesn't get the energy but he didn't because he could have used Ssj3 and end it quite fast), Vegeta fighting against his previous rival now a bit more than that, Kakarot. Battling with him in perfect synchrony in an equal fight because what Vegeta actually wanted with the Majin Magic was to close the powergap and convince himself he had an excuse to not feel remorse because of the magic. And i say that because before Goku dying to Cell he really saw him as competition, but after he lost him i feel that alongside his remorse and embarrassment for the disaster that was that saga, in part because of his gigantic ego, he must have felt alone, now truly being the last pure blooded Saiyan alive and not in condition to call himself a warrior anymore under his own standards. And although he had Gohan, which he respected a lot because of his courage and his immense power, it was not the same since Gohan is a pacifist and didn't had the same passion for fighting like a pure blooded Saiyan so he wasn't even training. So by the time of the Majin Saga and once Goku came into the picture again I think he subconsciously regarded him differently and he ends up realizing it during their fight (although he doesn't vocalize it).
During their fight there's a specific moment. After Goku throws Vegeta to a cliff-side and he makes a hole in it to liberate himself with his ki, Goku comes to him and they both get very close just floating in the air and powering up, looking at each other. Vegeta is beyond pissed, Goku taking the fight very seriously. Then Goku smiles to Vegeta challenging him and showing he's enjoying their fight, and Vegeta relaxes for a moment changing his attitude and showing a smile back to him in empathy, sharing to him that he is enjoying it too and wants to challenge him back as well.
This whole fight is Goku's way to show Vegeta how much he actually cares about him and his well being despite what Vegeta might have believed up until then, how much he respects him as a warrior and an equal too, even risking Earth and Majin Buu's return. He did the unthinkable and menaced Kaio Shin with death if he dared to stop their fight, which Vegeta sure noticed and even reacted with complete disbelief. As Supreme Kaiosama says to Gohan and the others in the wasteland: "we cannot do anything about it. Fight until you can calm your hearts", because even Kaio Shin knew that they weren't going to actually kill themselves, they just had to talk (while fighting).
I know a lot of people joke about Vegeta being a repressed homosexual (or technically bisexual because y'know there's Bulma) because of his legendary obsession with Goku, and i'm not saying he is, but this fight is charged with sexual tension, mostly on his part, among other things of course. And is interesting that Vegeta, ever since the Namek experience (which was the first time in his life he was emotionally vulnerable to the point of breaking entirely), is the most emotionally fragile of the bunch and an unstable character. He feels everything very intensely like an open wound, and reacts in the same way while trying to hide under a curtain of pride, ego and his title of Prince (I mean, he's the one that actually openly cries the most out of frustration after Namek, just for starters).
Goku knew what he was getting into by agreeing to fight with Vegeta. He wasn't going to just let them set the score, he was going to give Vegeta the most intense therapy session ever by letting him discharge all that literal energy and anger, guiding him through his thoughts, playing by Vegeta's rules. Help him overcome whatever he had been brewing in his mind since they day they met thinking on where was the moment everything went wrong for years, so he could move forward...
And then... this happens...
... I don't think anyone expected something like this to even be a thing that he could do as a power that we will only see one time ever in the entirety of the show from him and is in here, lol. And not long ago I watched a semi abridged semi analysis commentary video on the fight and yeah, we coincide that there was something else going on here at the same time. Vegeta got a little too excited... He got rock hard by too much adrenaline (or testosterone, endorphins... i know science ok?), lol. And I didn't mentioned it but being that Saiyans were a warrior culture there exists some real life relation of warrior societies (like greeks, romans, spartans, norse, some aztec societies) and homoerotic practices as part of that philosophy and way of life. Fighting is everything and everything revolves around fighting. And finding a brother in arms could develop into something else (call it love or getting physical or whatever) out of admiration, or from hyper-masculinity with the purpose of dominating the other and demonstrating power by physically making every other man your peach and the others are like "wow, a man dominating a man? that's so mainly". And i'm not saying that that was part of Saiyan culture, just that there might be some similarities with what we're seeing.
There's a fine line between pain and pleasure, hate and love, fear and excitement, rivalry and attraction. And in moments of intensity where both opposite feelings collide can produce an equally intense and confusing response. We know for sure Saiyans by nature often confuse fear an excitement, and rivalry with attraction at least, like Goku when he confesses his motives and feelings on his first fight with Vegeta. And here Vegeta is going through a rollercoaster of emotions, and given that he is the most emotionally charged character it can go all places.
So, Vegeta tells Goku if he pretends to defeat him quickly as he said, Goku responds that he's trying to do that, and Vegeta asks if he thinks he can do it *slap slap* (the disrespect). He's trying to provoke him but the way he does it is kinda similar to what you'd do in a sexual encounter since he's not really hurting him too badly (which is really funny). And I'm pretty sure he wasn't thinking about anything sexual, just pure anger towards our buddy Kakarot, that doesn't change the fact that he did just lost his marbles to blind rage and wasn't thinking at all, just feeling intensely and acting freely on it. "Listen... don't you think this is enough humiliation I got from your part *hit hit punch hit*. This attacks are not enough to set the score. How is it possible that a Prince of Saiyans, that possesses such a great pride, was humiliated by a warrior like you (In the English version there's a series of flashbacks with dialogue but that's not a thing in the japanese and latin version so he continues...). What saddens me the most is that you saved my life, worm (he's referring to way back in the saiyan saga when they first met since for a warrior is way worse offense to get their death in battle denied since he now has to suffer all what he's been through for the simple fact of having been spared=being an embarrassment). You deserve to die! I'll break you to pieces right now! I'll start with the arm...".
((You got this guy having Goku in all tied up to a rock, legs spread out, slapping Goku in the face, talking about "not being enough humiliation", and saying "this attacks are not enough", all emotionally charged and intense with his obsession of a rival, high in endorphins and adrenaline, from a warrior culture, that even back in the day I was like OH MY GOOOOD!? What is he going to DO?!!... He wouldn't do it, would he?... The Buu saga was a return to form to OG DB's general feeling and tone, and if it was OG DB this scene would be absolutely interpreted as having that kind of hidden meaning even if nothing would have actually end up happening, though is still a very bold move in terms of sexual themes, just like that scene in OG DB with Bulma and the two RR soldiers. I was sweating cold, that when I heard him say "I'll break you to pieces right now! I'll start with the arm" I was like OH THANK GOODNESS he's just going to mutilate him... NO, WAIT...)) (also, notice that Vegeta is technically fighting a ghost because Goku is already dead).
Unfortunately for Goku though Vegeta didn't share the safe word and he had to free himself so he wasn't actually dismembered by the intensity of Prince Vegeta and they continued their fight, once again Goku leveling the field into a in a less emotionally charged more equal fight all things considered (while also mutually complimenting their fighting prowess). They talk again and Vegeta admits to him that he understands that he's never going to surpass him because Goku is more skilled at fighting, now getting into the real meat of the matter with him and his frustrations.
We get to Vegeta almost breaking in tears again, torn by the realization of his situation confessing all about how he wants to be who he was as a warrior and how he cannot cope with his new life on Earth having all this new feelings for his family and being passive that make him feel like he is not himself. That he wants to be ruthless like before because what the hell is even being anything else, that's a thing of weaklings. Which tells a lot about how he still doesn't know how to function outside of conflict and his deeply rooted self image since childhood. I mean... this kid (Vegeta) doesn't know anything other than living in conflict, constant stress, anger, and feeling in danger all the time before and during Frieza. He was around 31 years old when he could finally be free. And to me it says that it almost feels to him like he's afraid of disappearing as an individual if he cannot go back to being something he recognizes and is familiar with as he doesn't recognize himself being something else underneath of what he's saying. A who that is completely opposite to what he has ever known. Is something some people that had lived through a deeply traumatic upbringing experience. On top of it being a Saiyan it must have been really confusing and difficult because their nature and culture is nothing like that of earthlings, Saiyan's are naturally built to fight, but Goku is the only one that could probably understand that in some capacity as pure blooded Saiyan that managed to adapt to Earth. That's why he is the only person Vegeta can trust with this information, and because Vegeta genuinely trusts him. With no one else he has this level of openness, probably not even with Bulma.
And i love how Goku doesn't give up on him though after everything and he is still willing to listen and help. Without his help here Vegeta wouldn't have confronted and put into words his reality to later internalize it and fully embrace his love for his family, fully embrace his feelings, giving Trunks later his first hug. That was all Goku's doing.
Of course things happened since they were still in the middle of total annihilation at the hands of the strongest pink ball of bubblegum. and from this fight and his explosive sacrifice/ acceptance of his destiny, going forward Vegeta actually starts acting a little different. A lot more relaxed with Kakarot, more open and sincere, more focused on helping than competing, more agreeable (without betraying his character though) and no longer ignoring or being embarrassed of his feelings for his loved ones (like we see when he gets convinced by Goku to do the fusion using Vegeta's love for Bulma). And I'm pretty sure he felt grateful and in debt to him. Not only for his help with unjumbling his feelings during that fight but for everything he's done for him since the day Goku spared his life way back in the day (as we see him asking to Piccolo if he'll get to see Goku in the afterlife just before he sacrifices). A real true honest best friend/rival for life (like we see evident in the movie Fusion Reborn, which is supposed to happen after his sacrifice in an alternate timeline where both Goku and Vegeta die and Gohan is the one that defeats Buu).
Though he still was being a bit stubborn about wanting to fight Buu himself in the anime, but in the manga he just doesn't charge head first into trying to battle him, he just doesn't like the idea of fussing with Kakarot.
Then the fusion thing...
The thing about the fusion is that Vegeta usually never wants to do it because he's embarrassed by the dance (which yeah... that's absolutely fair) but this is not the metamoran one, is the Potara, and they don't need to dance. His usual complains then change to "I just don't like to be fused with him" or "I don't like the idea of uniting bodies with him" when they have to do it later (either in canon or movie, though the "I don't like to use shortcuts to fight" frequently comes as a reason but is always after they already did the fusion). And I don't know how doing a fusion with someone would feel like but the Potara at least has two ways it can go. For the Kaios just one person becomes the main, getting some physical characteristics and power of the other, and the other becomes dormant, just one person gets to be conscious. But for mortals, both actually remain conscious and they both "live" inside the body of each other as one new combined persona who is a combined identity, mixing mentally and physically, sharing memories, thoughts, feelings, everything in unison either the other wants it or not because when they are fused they are cooperating in a single brain so they think the same under this persona even if later they have separate thoughts on the same thing when they un-fuse. One example of how the logic of it is is in the Super Super Hero movie, where right after the battle with Cell Max Gotenks makes a comment to Bulma and she says "that was Trunks, wasn't it?!", and Gotenks panics and they separate, implying that even if it's a combined identity they still are conscious inside separately and can "influence" their thoughts to act more like so or so, like there's a dominant consciousness guiding the other at times. The fusion is even better actually if they are rivals because they get the rival boost. So is not too crazy to think that some would consider it a very intimate act, even more because is permanent (until the retcon), which Goku is so considerate to tell Vegeta at the very last minute and he's like "WTF!" and Goku is just down with it while Vegeta is regretting ever meeting this guy but does it anyways.
And we have seen other characters combine but they don't think much about it, Trunks and Goten specifically just find it fun because they are best friends and just think about having the time of their lives beating up the bad guys. But I think Vegeta specifically does feel like it's something too personal and intimate that requires a lot his will power to do. His concept of it is different for a lot of reasons that all derive from being a very reserved person in general in many aspects, so he is trusting his entire being and accepting opening to Goku here, and to a degree loose control of himself in an give-and-take act, because he is not silly like Goku but under the fusion he is going to be and act silly alongside him because there's no me and you under it, even switch his brain into feeling it's natural. Same with Goku and being more cruel and mock their opponent more even if he usually would feel is something he wouldn't do.
Ultimately and reluctantly Vegeta agrees for the sake of his loved ones and saving his new home, which is wild to me because he does sacrifices everything he is with the fusion being permanent since just a few hours ago he was just accepting himself as an individual. The pressure was really high.
Goku certainly didn't thought much about it though, just another way to become even stronger by cooperating with someone in a new way for the purpose of saving Earth, and simply not loose the battle for the sake of not loosing itself. He considered his options with others purely strategically without thinking what it could mean outside of that for him as an individual in that moment, because he did understood that if he fused with Gohan for example he thought for a moment if that would mean he would have to go to Gohan's school after they win, but in that moment he was definitely panicking for options just to win the battle and then later he could think about the consequences, as always (he was seriously considering fusing with Mr Satan permanently at the lack of strategic options! How desperate and out of your mind can you get!).
Out of all people it was better if it's Vegeta when he detected his ki of course, because the power boost is much greater to save the Earth and he considers him different at this point, someone he likes better as a selfless guy after his valiant sacrifice. He's so excited when Vegeta accepts because it means so much, it's the demonstration to Goku of his turn to an actual good guy, fighting for others and not just himself, and he's so proud. And the result of the fusion is this very playful, sassy confident and cocky warrior that we all know and love because is the best thing ever and I don't have Vegetto favoritism.
But something did changed in both of them after the fusion. I know is an anime only thing for better pacing (at least until Super came and made it a thing again in small ways of its own), but after the fusion thing Goku started to unnecessarily get into Vegeta's personal space more (I mean, I don't think there's anything more intimate than fussing and you'd have to get a level of trust and understanding with that other person like with no one else ever afterwards regardless). Like, I like that when they do the cheek to cheek attack, which again was completely unnecessary, Vegeta feels dirty about it, even muttering to himself "He's an opportunist...(as in like, Goku was sexuality taking advantage of him) I would have preferred the fusion" and Goku asks him is he's finished blasting Buu bits and Vegeta recoils and yells "Don't get close to me!". (In the manga there's not really that much fuss about it when they separate, they just get to work and directly from separating to Buu's brain).
The fusion represents the pinnacle of their growth together as fighting partners (and partners in general). Probably even more than that at this point for how much they share as rivals and how much they understand about each other above any other person, including their own wives in some regards for all they have gone through on things only they can share between themselves like their love for battle.
And if they both were friendly before while still keeping their cards up, now is when they start to act more like brothers and cooperating. Goku with his power and techniques and Vegeta with his strategic planing at the end of the Buu saga. Goku even becomes more playful with Vegeta, even sharing funny moments together. And as pointed out, I believe the fusion made them know the thinking, memories and intentions of the other to a degree.
This is the turning point for Goku as well regarding accepting his heritage as Saiyan. Because from then on he also accepts the values of the Saiyans as warriors (when before he would be more likely against it) and accepts feeling pleasure in having a good fair honorable fight without aid and relying only in his strength and talent just for the thrill he gets of it (much like what he felt as a child/teen), which he demonstrates by breaking the second pair of Potara earrings while Vegeta responds by telling him that he's so proud of him for going into the fight the Saiyan way. Also from then on others start to recognize Goku fully as a Saiyan (so much is the influence Vegeta has had on him that in the Super Broly movie Goku introduces himself to Broly, a fellow Saiyan, as Kakarot first over Goku).
Now, about Vegeta with the fusion, if he wasn't too sure about the fusion first, now every time the fusion is required he almost feels violated by the suggestion (which right before the kid Buu fight he actually didn't mind fusing again and kinda wanted it in the anime while this wasn't in the manga but ok). And of course, if he didn't had much thoughts on getting close and personal with Goku when battling because it meant nothing (like the arm riding in the Saiyan saga and their almost gory bondage session prior), now he recoils from him in certain situations (it... also didn't help that the first time they fuse they went dick first...).
Also also, there's a moment in the manga when Goku is fighting kid Buu in Ssj3 where Vegeta tells Goku that he guessed Goku was fighting overtime because he never intended for Vegeta to have his turn (because if he dies he dies for real), and Goku says that is not that, that he is just looking for an opportunity to reunite his power for at least a minute, and Vegeta gets all tsundere, blushes and says "So... So you weren't doing it to protect me?!..." (lol, well, here's the latin translation but you get the idea)
And onto Super, they made this thing about Goku asking Vegeta to grab his hand in order to instant transmission but Goku knows very well that's not necessary, he could have said to Vegeta to grab his shoulder like others do but he wants him to grab his hand, and Vegeta gets all flustered and nervous every time as if people are going to make fun of him for being gay or something (since we are told by the Pilaf gang that holding hands is very romantic and a sign of being a couple, and something to be embarrassed about, although from a childish perspective of course but this information was set up for the audience when Trunks wanted to hold hands with Mai). Like... Goku, do you have something to share as well?
They later spent 3 years in the hyperbolic chamber at Goku's request... 3 years together just sparing in a void where there's nothing but infinity and them! (At most they had spent not even two weeks of net interaction prior to that in all the years they have known each other, mostly just in times of conflict and as enemies/rivals/competition, and now they'll spend three years doing what they both love to do the most in friendly terms getting to know each other, just the two of them, are you kidding me?!!) which again, it wasn't really necessary because as Vegeta points out that wasn't going to make much of a difference in terms of power because they are at their limit of what their bodies can achieve by just fighting, and three years is a bit too much. And Bulma even got jealous/angry about Vegeta accepting the invitation. I know Goku went around asking a lot of other people the same request before him, but also everyone in the room (well Bulma and Piccolo) suddenly were paying A LOT of attention in that moment he asked Vegeta and what was he going to answer.
And then! They come out like they did? Matching beards? Truly looking like Spartans for real?! I kinda want to wonder how that came to be. A dare? They broke the razor or what. Obviously the implication is that they got so into their fighting that they just forgot basic higiene those last days but like... I don't even have to try...
It's become such a well known thing that there's something going on that even in official material (not canon exactly but official) acknowledges it. Maybe Goku knows something we don't since the fusion happened but it goes a little beyond just a joke from his part XD.
And i haven't talked about it because contrary to Vegeta Goku is very straightforward, but Goku has no shame or filter. He does seem to display asexual tendencies, but he's either oblivious to sexual stuff at times and how it affects others, or does it on purpose because he feels not much about it but does know how it affects others. So that cheek to cheek attack could have been Goku being oblivious, or Vegeta was right and Goku took advantage of the situation to get close to Vegeta on purpose. He's also known since always to not really care about the social conventions of things. He's a good guy, but he's also reckless, impulsive at times, and if he wants something he'll just get it without thinking of what are others going to think about it.
In GT there's actually not too much, they just remain companions and friends for life...(Is just so cute and fulfilling seeing them being like brothers). Vegeta again reminiscing of everything they've gone through and accepting his role in the powerscale and being very freaking cute with Bulma, being such a dad and all. The highlight is the fusion again though, where Vegeta is the one that says he wants to do the fusion "So what have you decided, Kakarot. Are we going to do the fusion or not", to which Goku just laughs and Vegeta is like "what are you laughing at", and Goku responds saying that "I'm not laughing, I just feel happy because is the first time you ask ME to do the fusion", and Vegeta is just averts his eyes and says "I hate you...", lol.
Of course, the bromance tones might be just fanservice (I didn't knew that in shonen is actually very common but if it is that way I'd argue is exactly because of these two since they were the OGs). But either if there's something or not I don't really care much about that. Because as characters I have seen them grow so much and they have learn so much about themselves and each other that them possibly being into each other might as well be just another aspect they allow themselves to explore if they're down with it, with whatever canon or the anime presents us to see and guess, just like they have with their own families, wives, form friendships, discover new feelings, ways of thinking, how they have become stronger and how they have change the people around them, meta speaking as well. Because it does feel natural for them, like it didn't came out of nowhere or out of purely fanservice (which it kind of is but it does make sense). Either they are just friends, honorary brothers or something more I'm happy with who they have become thanks to each other. And the trust they have for each other is what is beautiful to see reflected. I'm so proud of them and what they have achieved. Now they are inseparable as the best duo in history.
And in my conclusions I would say that Vegeta might feel something towards Goku for how much he has helped him and how he has come to admire and respect him in levels unimaginable... in a spartan kinda way if you like and if he ever was down with it. And Goku is just Goku. He loves in a storge kind of way because that's what he does. He knows Vegeta to a T, knows what he needs, and wants him to be happy as well and become the better version of himself, to feel comfortable and feel loved too because he admires him as well, and if he can help him he will do so. Is not really a physical sexual attraction (which doesn't mean it cannot derive on one if you want and as we've seen, specially with Goku) but there IS attraction and love in a different way.

i think the thing that's funny about gohan is that if you take canon at face value, you have to accept he doesn't "have trauma." canon is fundamentally more interested in big intense emotions and drama than the smaller moments (although it still has those, and they can be really touching). this is not a deficit! dragon ball is a series where someone you love dies, and you scream so big you get superpowers. it's great.
so taking canon for what it is, gohan has experienced traumatic events, but he doesn't have any trauma from them. it has had no effect on him.
but if you want to understand him as having trauma, then the obvious reading is that gohan takes on the "just a guy" genre of having a trauma. the kind where you cannot get him to admit that he even experienced trauma, let alone that it did anything to him.
being dumped in the woods for six months should have affected him developmentally? sure, it was scary and weird at first, but then it was kind of fun, really!
watching people die at age five should have affected him? no, it's okay, most of them came back. it's sad about the ones who didn't, but it's important to mourn your losses and go forward in honor of their memories!
the world being put on his shoulders when he was eleven might have messed him up? that was hard, but it did have to be him. and he messed up, but his dad told him not to feel bad. his dad wouldn't want him to dwell!
everyone who put him in dangerous situations loved him, and they're his heroes, and gohan really was uniquely powerful, and the world was really at stake, so he did uniquely have to be involved. no one did anything wrong. besides, it was kind of hard, but nothing is wrong with him. he's just a guy.
he's aggressive about protecting his normal life and had a hard time even knowing what "normal" looked like, but he's just a guy. he didn't want pan to see people being killed, but there were no consequences when that happened for him. he's just a guy. his rage is something he avoids like it scares him, but his emotional regulation is great, really!
none of it had a negative effect on him. it was hard sometimes, but he learned a lot of things, and he's fine now. he's just a guy.
you will never get any of the big, obvious signs of trauma out of gohan (again: canon is pretty content that he's happy and well-adjusted!), but you can find trauma responses if you want by leaning into that. that's the kind of trauma response where people don't admit it to themselves, where they constantly minimize and excuse what happened (they love me, they never wanted to hurt me, therefore i can't have been hurt). the kind of trauma response that only comes out in weird leakages, in little comments and odd irrational behaviors—and then, occasionally, all at once in blinding moments of uncharacteristic emotional outbursts.
but that's not a big deal. it's just how his power boosts work, he guesses? it's a saiyan thing, probably!
don't worry about it. it's all okay. none of it was that bad.
he's just a guy!
#i do believe with all my heart that canon doesn't think he has trauma. it has no interest in that. son gohan is happy and well-adjusted#but i also believe that if you refuse to change any characterization while also reading him as having trauma it's SUCH a type of guy#a guy i've met#dragon ball

I'm back yet again. Tbh, this chapter was pushed out entirely by just trying to occupy myself. Boe, my childhood cat of 16 years, just recently passed away. So, this chapter is entirely dedicated to her. I've had Boe practically my entire life, so it's def been rough. But I'm glad to finally get a chapter out for you all! This chapter is also a bit shorter than usual due to how I wanna start the next chapter. As always, DM's/Comments are always open if you have any comments, questions, or concerns. Thanks for all the support!

Chapter 17
-
You glide through the air, observing the destruction of the planet beneath you. Demolishing a planet was always your favorite part of the job when you were working under Frieza. It was always the most exciting part. Though, watching a planet burn is not as fun when your life is in imminent danger. Who knew?
This entire situation is difficult for you. This retreat is tactical, for sure. But... running away with your tail between your legs... to Earth of all planets. It's sickening. It goes against every single one of your instincts and every lesson you've ever been taught. Daily life would be much simpler without the damn Saiyan pride flowing through your veins. At points, it feels more like an anchor weighing you down.
You spot a familiar figure in the distance, with a much larger one slung over his shoulders. You pick up speed, quickly outpacing him. "Huh?" The boy looks up, calling out your name. "You're safe!"
"Yeah, yeah. No need to throw a party." You scoff. "This planet is still a ticking time bomb." The two of you keep flying, not saying much to each other as you travel the distance. Before you speak up again. "Any idea how far this damn ship is?" Gohan shrugs, so the brat's as clueless as you are. "Great. Just great." You mumble sarcastically, blowing a strand of hair out of your face.
Now you're on a wild goose chase of Kakarot's making. Some coordinates would've been nice. Not far from here isn't precisely quality directions. You'd take a simple cardinal direction at this point. And with the way this planet is crumbling, the ship might not even be functioning by now.
"Hey!" Gohan calls out to you. "Look down there!" Your gaze trails downward. You make a subtle landing, dropping in front of the ship's doors. Wow, it's actually in one piece. It also has the same logo from that cave where you visited Raditz to inform him about the true fate of your people. Must be some sort of brand.
"How the hell do you even open this thing?" You stare at the doors of the dome-shaped ship. Times like this, you miss the technology you've grown accustomed to under Frieza's command. Gohan moves over to you; he pushes a camouflage button, the door spinning open immediately. You enter the vessel first. It's small but larger than what you're used to. You still have nightmares about those damn pods you were crammed into. Sardines in a can have more room than you did.
Gohan places the Namekian on the ground before turning to you. "Stay here with Piccolo. I'll go out and find Bulma."
"Do you really need to? Like, would anyone miss her?" From your brief encounters, you know two things about the Earth woman. She's incredibly irritating and she has awful taste in men.
"She's our... well, she's my friend. Of course, we can't leave her behind…" Gohan trails. Memories of when Vegeta ruthlessly killed Nappa flood his brain. He remembers the aloof expression on your face. The way your lips met in a thin line, not even showing an ounce of empathy. It still sends a shiver down his spine when he thinks about it. "So maybe you wouldn't exactly get it." He laughs nervously. "But it's the right thing to do."
"How do you know the Earth woman is even alive?" From what you've noticed, earthlings aren't the most durable creatures. And your knowledge stems from the strongest of the bunch. So it's a reasonable question.
"Well, I have to try! I can't just leave her out there." He takes a deep breath, collecting himself before continuing. "And I'm the only one who can. Piccolo is out of it. And you're pretty banged up, Y/N. I'll be back as soon as possible. Promise." He extends his arm out to you, holding out his pinky.
Your face scrunches up in confusion. "What the hell are you doing?"
"It's a pinky promise." You look at the boy as if he has two heads. To be honest, a two-headed creature would probably be less peculiar to you. Gohan sighs. "It's just another way to make a promise... like a handshake, only with your pinkies.
"You earthlings and your bizarre customs." You shake your head in disbelief, but Gohan doesn't move an inch, still extending the digit to you. "Fine, Fine." You interlock your pinky with his briefly before pulling away. Gohan smiles brightly at you. You place your hands on your hips, sighing quite loudly. "If you're not back within thirty minutes. I'm leaving the Namekian and dragging you back by force. Understand?"
The boy gulps before nodding rapidly. And with that, he takes off. His small frame disappears from your view. Well, at least things are quiet... with the amount of irritation you've been subjected to, you forgot how much you dread silence. You slide down against what you can only assume is the navigation system. You bang your head against the cool metal. Taking in the situation before you. Everything will get worse before it gets better. You just know it.
---
The ground beneath you shakes violently. "Fucking low-class Earth machinery." You quickly come to realize that the ship itself isn't moving… it's the planet's surface. You spring to your feet, the rocking pushing you back and forth as you make your way to the entrance. You peek your head out, a luminous beam of light coming from the direction you just came from. "Well, that can't be good…" With another violent rumble, you lose your footing, sending you tumbling. Your back slams against the ship's walls with a notable thud.
You groan, picking yourself up off the floor. What the hell just happened? Your balance has changed; it's like gravity has significantly altered. You shift your gaze around the ship, looking for irregularities. The foundation now has an arch to it. You can still feel the ground underneath you slipping. Oh shit, the land underneath you must be concaving.
With your remaining energy, you fly up into the air, picking up the Namekian with a scowl crossing your features. You can't believe you're fucking doing this. You don't save the weak… and you don't spare the injured. So what the hell are you doing? You could just take this damn ship, toss the Namekian out, and leave the boy and the Earth woman for dead. Or at least you could've let the Namekian plummet and slam into the wall. Sure, it could've killed him, but that's not your problem. You don't give a damn about the Dragon Balls or the lives of the pathetic deceased earthlings. All you care about now is spiting Frieza. You're losing your edge. The longer you spend with these people, the softer you get. It's vile.
Before your subconscious can voice any more displeasure, the lights flicker, the entire ship going dim. The only light coming from the entrance. Great, just great; now you can barely see shit. What else could possibly go wrong? Once the ship has suspended, you place the Namekian back on the floor. The gravity is a bit off due to the angle you're on, but he should be fine. You find a new place to sit, one that's less sunken into the ground. You slide on the wall right beside the opening of the ship. You're getting far too soft for your liking.
After a bit more time passes, you can hear voices approaching. Two distinct voices, to be exact. You open your eyes, knowing immediately that it's them. Much to your surprise, the Earth woman somehow survived. Good thing you didn't bet money on it. Gohan enters the ship first, a big grin on his face. "Fucking finally," You stand back up, crossing your arms.
"I told you I'd find her." The boy boasts.
"I'm so overjoyed." You reply with a deadpan look on your features.
"Gohan?" Bulma, on shaky legs, enters the ship. "Where are you-" As soon as her eyes land on you, she shrieks. "What is she doing here?"
"It's alright, Bulma. She's with us." Gohan assures her.
"But she's insane! You saw what she did to---" You clear your throat, reminding her of your presence. She looks at you, fear evident in her eyes. "Well, you know what. The more the merrier." She laughs nervously. Once Bulma calms herself down, she looks around the ship. "Hmm? It's so dark in here. I wonder if there was some sort of malfunction."
"That's weird." Gohan's brows furrow. "The lights were on when I left." The pair turn to you.
"The ship slid a bit." You shrug nonchalantly.
"Well, why didn't you---" You cut the woman off.
"I'm not familiar with your low-class Earth machinery. I could have just made everything worse!" Before Bulma can retort, she slips, plunging right into the control panel. You let out a brash chuckle, watching her struggle.
She stands back up, finding her footing. She leans over the panel, fiddling with the buttons. "I'm not familiar with this machine model." She continues to mess with the controls.
After a few more seconds, the lights turn on. Maybe the Earth woman is more competent than she lets on. Cause she fixed that rather fast. "Phew. All better." She takes a few steps back before stepping on something squishy. Unbeknownst to her, she just tripped up on the Namekian. Bulma's eyes dart downward; as soon as she sees the green man, she somehow shrieks even louder than when she noticed you. You're almost offended. She jumps into the air before scurrying behind Gohan. "Is that Piccolo, or am I losing it?" Her voice shakes.
Gohan nods. "Yep, that's him, alright."
She extends her neck, taking a second glimpse at the Namekian. "What's he even doing here? Bulma observes the man carefully, taking a mental note that he still hasn't risen. There's something clearly wrong with him. The gears turn in her brain, briskly making an educated guess that Piccolo is injured. Well, it's that, along with his grueling appearance. "Look at him. He's a mess! Does he really have to tag along?" Gohan turns to her, shooting the woman a disapproving look. "I mean, this is his home planet after all…"
That's odd. From what you've understood, the Namekian is a part of the band of buffoons. He helped kill Cado. He trained the half-breed. He was there when you invaded Earth. And showed up here to get himself killed. Sounds like he's a core member of Kakarot's idiots to you. But from the Earth woman's reaction, you have to second guess that theory. Maybe they aren't allies after all? Possibly, they just share common goals? You've been in several situations similar to that in the past.
"We can't just leave him! He saved us. I owe him. We all do! So he's coming back to Earth with us no matter what!"
"That's sweet of you…" Bulma places her hand on Gohan's shoulder. "But we don't know if he would've wanted that." You raise an eyebrow. The man is clearly breathing. So why is she talking in the past tense like you have a corpse aboard? Aren't these humans supposed to be selfless and empathetic? Or have you only met the irritating ones? If the Earth woman keeps this behavior up, you could be more on board with her. "I think he would've wanted to be buried here, on his home planet."
Gohan's brows furrow, looking at the woman with a frown. You roll your eyes. "He's not dead, you lunatic…." You say as if you weren't just making the same argument for the Earth woman only a short while ago. Maybe we should leave her. It would make the journey back more tolerable. "But, hey, if you're so insistent. You wanna bury him here… you dig the hole."
"Fine." Bulma huffs. "He can come with us."
"How generous of you." You scoff. Before you can make another snarky comment, the aircraft shifts again, sinking further inwards towards the planet's core. A few more cracks in the surface of this planet and the four of you are going to die a very excruciating death.
"This entire place is falling apart!" The woman exclaims. "We need to take off. Now!" You can't believe you're saying this, but you're actually in agreement with the Earth woman. Talk about a plot twist. Bulma rushes back to the panel and starts fiddling with the buttons again.
"Wait!" Gohan shouts, stopping the woman dead in her tracks. "We can't leave yet! We have to wait for my dad!"
"He'll be okay, Gohan." Bulma's eyes soften. "If anyone can find a way out of here, it's Goku… he always does." She stares off into the distance as if having some sort of dream sequence. It's mildly disturbing.
"No, we can't!" The boy starts to tear up. "There's still time, lots of it." Considering you have a high level of expertise in the destruction of planets. You know, this rock has maybe an hour left maximum. And that's being incredibly generous.
You groan. "I hate to agree with the Earth woman, but she's right. I've seen the destruction of more planets than you could probably imagine. Now, most of them were by my own hands, but that's irrelevant. The point is, your father wants you off this planet. And I think you should adhere to his wishes."
"Please…" Gohan looks between the two of you with big eyes. "Just a few more minutes."
"Gohan…" Bulma smiles weekly at him. "I think-" She's cut off. By the ship once again sinking further into the ground.
You rub your temples, your frustration growing rapidly. You can't believe this is even a discussion. What needs to happen is clear. Maybe to everyone but the brat. "I've had enough! This isn't the time to play selfless hero like your moronic father. Let me put this in the simplest terms I can. If we don't get the Namekian off this planet, everyone dies! There's no second chances. There's no more wishes. And that means-" You cut yourself off. Stopping yourself from saying something unnecessarily cruel. You're trying to persuade him, not make him weep.
The planet's destruction continues to form around you. This discussion is clearly going nowhere. You don't see why a child should decide all of your fates. "This is bad!" Bulma struggles to maintain balance due to the quaking beneath her. "We only have a few minutes left before planet Namek is nothing but dust!" Gohan isn't even paying attention to anything other than the direction of the battle. It's like everything both you and Bulma say goes in one ear and out the other. You're seconds away from knocking the boy out, so you can descend with no hiccups.
Gohan's face falls before you can even set a plan in motion. You focus your energy in the direction of the battle. And you sense exactly the same thing. You sigh, feeling slight empathy for the boy. You know how that feels. You've lived through that experience. It's certainly not a positive one. "Dad's energy." He chokes up. "It's just… gone." Bulma gasps.
"Does that mean?" Gohan nods, his sad expression quickly evolving into one of determination.
"Start preparing the ship for launch. And take Piccolo back to Earth with you. I'm staying here." Perfect, just what you need. A loose cannon on your hands. The option of knocking him out is growing more appealing by the second. The boy moves to the door, standing right in front of it.
"Woah! Hey there! Slow down!" Panic rises in Bulma's voice. "Gohan! No! You can't just go back out there!" Gohan presses a button, causing the door to slowly open. "Gohan, don't do this."
"I'm my father's son, Bulma." Well, that's clear to you. He clearly got his lack of preservation from somewhere. Moron must be genetic. "I have to finish what he started. It's my duty."
"Gohan…" Bulma rushes over to him. "You can't. It's too dangerous."
The boy shakes his head. "I have to try. Piccolo would understand." From your brief interactions with the Namekian, you doubt that's true. "It's what he and dad would've wanted." And now you know for a fact that it's untrue. Your hypothesis has to be correct. Moron is undoubtedly genetic.
It's time for some intervention. You know for a fact the Earth woman is no match for the half-breed. Words can only get you so far. You slowly walk over to them, your boots making a notable clink against the metal floor, the sound growing closer with each step. Right until you're standing directly in front of Gohan. The last barricade between him and the outside world. You chuckle mischievously. "Absolutely not, brat."
"I have to do this, Y/N." He looks you dead in the eyes, not even displaying an ounce of fear.
"Why's that? So Frieza can slaughter three generations of your bloodline rather than two?" You roll your eyes. "Your father asked me to look out for you, and I intend to. No matter how aggravating it is."
"But…"
"But nothing! Were we even on the same battlefield?" You place your hands on your hips, your eyes narrowing into slits. "You genuinely think this is what your father would've wanted? He was screaming at you to leave. He basically ordered you to. A father looks out for their child… he doesn't throw them into the lion's den!"
"I can do this. I can't just let Frieza get away with this!" Gohans' attempts at persuasion are futile. You could easily out-stubborn him any day of the week.
"Think about this logically! If you go out there. Frieza will kill you. It'll be quick. You're no match for him. He'll probably be insulted that you'd even try. The battle doesn't just end… the entire fight will! If we return to Earth, you can rest up… prepare a bit. I know Frieza. And I assure you he will be gunning for Earth next. He wants that wish. And what Frieza wants, he tends to get it."
Now, you're doing some logical thinking of your own. If the Namekian dies… there's no more wishes. You could step on his neck right now. End his pathetic life. You'd put a stop to Frieza's mission. He'd never be able to get his hands on immortality. Sure, there'd be a few unhappy faces, but it would be the wise thing to do. You can't believe this thought hasn't crossed your mind before. You quickly shake that idea out of your head. It's a fantastic plan. It's far more logical than your current one. You'll keep it in your pocket. "If you care about your planet… your people. You'll stay on this ship and go home."
You're running out of ways to convince him. If only he hadn't inherited a stubborn Saiyan nature. This is the first time you've wished he behaved more like an Earthling and less like a Saiyan. "I have to do this!"
You know what. You're done arguing with him. It's time to use something that works much better. Threats. "Oh, you wanna go out there?" You extend your hand outwards toward the outside. "Be my guest… but you'll have to go through me first."
Gohan's hands ball up into fists. "That's not fair!"
You scoff. "Please, if you think you can face Frieza, then I should be a piece of cake." You're about to take it even further. But before you can, you feel a familiar powerful level in the distance… and then another. Your head darts in that direction. What the hell? That's not possible. Are you imagining things again? As you're distracted, the brat runs past you, making a break for it. He takes off before you can even move a muscle. "God damn it!"
Huh. There are chunks of energy everywhere. Small and pathetic levels, but they exist. There's life… how the hell is there life? Wait… does that mean. You weren't imagining things. You really did sense Vegeta and Raditz. But… how? You quite vividly remember their deaths. You see it every time you close your eyes. There's a serious mind fuck going on. Your brain is scrambling.
The Earth woman shakes her head, snapping out of her dazed expression. "Why'd you let him get away?" She shouts at you.
"I–" You're at a loss for words. You don't understand how this is happening. "There's energy levels all over this planet."
"I don't know what the hell that means!" Her brows furrow. "I don't speak fighter."
You roll your eyes. "Let me dumb it down for you. Before, there was no life left on this planet. Now, there's a lot. I'm assuming there was somehow a mass resurrection of some kind… I just don't know how."
Bulmas ears perk up. "The Dragon Balls. The Earth ones! Someone back home must've made a wish!" That makes sense… and with the Namekian alive, the set on Earth is intact. But that's so many people. The limit must not be as small as you were led to believe. Because that many lives is a massive job. But wait. What's the point?
"Well, why the hell would they do that? This planet is about to blow. Everyone here will just die again. What a waste of a wish." You know the earthlings lack brain cells, but this is a new level. Unless there's another aspect of it that you're just not regarding. Before you can say anything else the sky grows dark. "What the hell?" You poke your head outside. This planet doesn't have a night. There's something about this that's oddly familiar. A strong sense of deja vu flooding your mind. You just can't quite place it.
"Wait." The woman moves closer to you, poking her head out the other side of the door. "I know what's happening. This same thing happens back on Earth when you make a wish." That's it. The Dragon Balls. That must mean the Grand Elder is alive. All that energy you were sensing is the people of Namek, including the elderly one. That must be the plan. To make a second, even larger wish with the Namek ones. But who's even gonna make that wish?
Oh fuck. Frieza can easily take that for himself. All he'd need is one Namekian, which would now be incredibly easy to attain. He only needs a singular feeble hostage to gain his greatest desire. Damn. You turn to the Earth Woman. "I have to go."
"What happened to thinking about things logically?"
"I am. If Frieza gets his wish for immortality, then everything is over."
"But…You can't just leave me here all--" Without a word, you take off, leaving the Earth woman in your dust. "Why does everyone always abandon me on strange planets!"
Okay, all you have to do is get there before Frieza can. Or do you go to Vegeta and Raditz first? No, wish first, reunions second. You soar, picking up the pace; you don't think you've ever flown this fast. This is the only thing that matters to you. You detest Frieza with every bone in your body. You'll ruin this for him. Just like he ruined everything for you. You'll do whatever it takes. As you formulate a strategy, a bright light surrounds your body. "What the fuck?" You slowly fade out before disappearing entirely.

Future Trunks x Reader x Future Gohan Fic
Summary: Gohan finds out that Trunks has a crush on his girlfriend. Not wanting his best friend to miss out on life, he decided to teach him a very important lesson.
CW: Threesome, dirty talking, spanking, breeding
Word Count: 1k
I was inspired by this fic written by one of my favorite authors, @actuallysaiyan! Please check out their work!
You had a steady relationship with Gohan for a while, however you were always worried about him. You watched him train with Trunks one day. However, Gohan could tell that something was off about Trunks. After you went home, he asked Trunks what was going on.
“I-I’m sorry Gohan… But I think that I love (Y/N)… I hope you can forgive me…!”
Gohan looked a bit troubled at first, but eventually smiled at his pupil.
“Don’t worry about it Trunks. We’ll figure something out. Meet me here tomorrow and we’ll discuss things.”
“O-Okay!”
A day passed, and you heard a knock at your door. Opening it up, you were met with your boyfriend and his best friend. You had talked with the two for a bit, but felt as if things were getting awkward. It was then that Gohan suddenly kissed you. He pulled away, leaving you in shock.
“You see Trunks, this is how you start. You have to make sure that she feels comfortable and ready for it. Now it’s your time to try.”
Gohan motioned to Trunks. He came over to you and pressed his soft lips onto your own. He was much more gentle when compared to Gohan. You could tell that he was inexperienced, but still having an inner darker side. He pulled away slowly, his face red from embarrassment.
You were in shock from this situation, but not opposed to it. But before you could say anything, Gohan began to play with your breasts, sucking on them through your shirt, eliciting a moan from you.
“See, Trunks? You want her to make cute noises like this.”
“Y-Yes! I understand!”
The two men then began to undress themselves. They were both so beautiful and sexy. While Gohan was much more mature and well toned, you could tell that Trunks didn’t skip training as well, as he also looked very strong. They then both freed their fully erect cocks from their underwear. Even though you had had sex with Gohan before, you can’t remember him ever being this excited. Trunks’ cock was slightly longer, but Gohan’s was nothing to scoff at. You began to crave them even more, getting onto your knees to begin sucking them off, switching between the two as you couldn’t get enough.
“Geez, I already knew you were a whore, but you really can’t get enough, can you?”
You were taken back. You never heard Gohan speak in such a way before. But it wasn’t like you were against it, as it only made you heat up more.
“G-Gohan… I think I’m about to cum…!”
“Alright Trunks, make sure that you cum inside of (Y/N)’s mouth. She’ll love it.”
Trunks moaned and did just that, releasing his semen into your mouth. You swallowed it without a second thought.
You thought that would be the end of things, but the sensation of you swallowing his cum only made Trunks get erect once more. Gohan chuckled, taking your clothes off and putting you onto the bed. You were worried about what was going to come next, but excited at the same time.
“Now, what you need to do next is insert your penis into her and begin thrusting, I’m sure you know that much, right?”
“Yes! I’ve never done it before though…”
“I’m sure you’ll do great. Everyone has a first time. (Y/N) also loves Saiyan cock, so she won’t complain at all. Now will you?”
You shook your head, completely speechless.
“While you take her in the back, I’ll take her in the front, does that sound okay?”
Trunks nods as he begins to play with your pussy. It is already thoroughly wet, but he wants to make more noises from you. He begins to rub your clit, occasionally licking it as well. He puts his fingers into your pussy, eliciting a loud moan. This gets him fully erect and ready once more.
“I’m glad that you remembered what I told you before about foreplay. You’re doing even better than I imagined you would.”
With that encouragement, Trunks suddenly thrusts himself into you, not giving you a moment to adjust to his length. Gohan follows, placing his manhood into your mouth.
“A-Ahh… (Y/N) is so tight!”
“I knew you’d enjoy it. She is great, isn’t she?”
“Y-Yes…! I could spend all day in her…!”
“Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, you need to first focus on breeding.”
Trunks nods and begins to pick up the pace. You are taken over by pleasure as both men rapidly thrust inside of you. It was hard holding back your orgasm.
“Geez Gohan… She is already clenching down…”
“You are making her feel good but she’s greedy so she can’t hold herself back. In situations like this you’ll need to punish her. Try spanking her ass.”
Trunks is taken aback, but feels a darker desire to listen to what his master says, spanking you as punishment for being a whore. This makes you moan once more in both pain and pleasure. Trunks doesn’t think he can hold it in much longer. He decides to put what Gohan taught him to the test and begins to dirty talk to you.
“Are you about to cum? I know you are. Let’s cum together, okay?”
“Don’t forget, you need to make sure you cum inside of her. This is always what is most important.”
“O-Okay!”
Trunks then climaxes, unloading all of his cum into you. A few seconds later, both you and Gohan orgasm as well. You feel utterly exhausted, but in complete bliss as well. The two men enjoy themselves in your holes a bit longer before pulling out, letting the remaining bits of their cum stain your ass and face.
“You did a great job, Trunks.”
“Thank you so much!”
“I could get used to doing this with you. And I’m sure (Y/N) would as well, wouldn’t you?” Gohan says as he helps you back up.
You nod, being filled with excitement as to what the two would do to you again.
Everything went exactly as Gohan had planned.

Courting
Character: Piccolo x Sayian Reader (#Gohanwingman) Summary: Piccolo is trying to show you how he feels.
Piccolo’s eyes dodged around the room anxiously. His hands became sweaty as well as his heart rapidly beating.
“Piccolo, What’s wrong?”
Gohan questions Piccolo being very aware of Piccolo’s anxious state. He has never seen Piccolo like this. Something must be very wrong. Maybe a new fighter has arisen to destroy Earth?
“Courting…”
Piccolo whispers to Gohan. Gohan’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. What could he possibly mean by courtship? That’s when Gohan sees you entering the room. As if Piccolo’s sweating couldn’t get any worse, it seems like that was a lie. Piccolo’s whole face was drenched.
“Hey Gohan, Hi Piccolo!”
You stood before the two. Gohan says a greeting back but Piccolo stays silent and looks away from you. Noticing Piccolo’s lack of response your lips puckered slightly.
“Gohan, Is your dad here?”
“No, Actually he is training with Vegeta in the time chamber.”
“Ah, Thanks! I’ll see you guys later.”
You were gone as fast as you came in. Gohan turns to Piccolo, having a slight idea of what’s going on.
“Is that what you meant by courting?”
Piccolo nods swiftly. Gohan lets out a little chuckle.
“Ok, I think I can help!”
Attempt #1
The first thing Gohan told Piccolo to do was to bring flowers. So here he was on Kami’s lookout. A bunch of daisies in his hands. Anyone could tell that Piccolo had hand-picked these flowers. Once Piccolo saw you, he grabbed your attention.
“Ahem, these are for you.”
You look between Piccolo’s flustered face and the flowers he has pushed out before him. You tilt your head to the side in confusion.
“What’s all this Piccolo?”
He still didn’t look you in the eye but he did answer.
“I just saw these on my way here. They seem to suit you very well.”
A bright smile formed on your lips, excitement rolling over your whole body.
“Really? You think so! I really do appreciate it.”
You gladly take the small bouquet of flowers and give them a sniff. Despite being from a planet that is always violent, you were shamed by your family for your abnormal behavior of being gentle. Which is why they also sent you with Kakarot to planet Earth to toughen you up. Your personality only blossomed more.
“Y-Y-You’re welcome.”
Piccolo stuttered out, disappearing before you can say anything else. But it was ok, you gladly held the flowers close to your chest.
“Hey, What’s that?”
Goku approaches you, staring down at the flowers. You gladly show him the flowers and proudly state.
“Piccolo gave them to me! He said they suit me.”
Goku stares back at Vegeta, confusion written all over his face.
“What do you need flowers for? We’re training.”
Goku states.
“Stop being mean. They look very nice and I’m glad I got them from Piccolo.”
Vegeta snickers as the realization hits him.
“You must like Piccolo then.”
You shoot Vegeta an alarming glare.
“Keep your mouth shut.”
“Make me.”
“Oh, it’s on!”
Before you lunge towards Vegeta you carefully place the flowers somewhere safe. This time you won’t hold anything back.
“Hey, Don’t forget about me guys!”
Attempt #2
Gohan then told Piccolo that the best thing to do is to achieve a close relationship. The way he can do that is to spend time with you alone. Help you when you need it.
When you’re in need to get wood for your home. Piccolo just so happens to be outside of the forest meditating.
“Oh, Hey Piccolo! It’s so good to see you. Do you mind helping me grab some wood?
Piccolo nods his head curtly and begins to help you carry many huge logs of wood back to your home.
Ever since then, Piccolo has helped you with many errands, from cleaning, training, and even cooking. Such a great help he is.
Attempt #3
Third time is the charm people say. This time Piccolo turns to Vegeta for a little insight on Sayian culture.
“I’m surprised you’re coming to me, Green Man.”
A cocky smirk on Vegeta’s face, his arms already folded before him.
“Listen, I just need a little info on you Sayians.”
A snort leaves Vegeta’s mouth.
“Alright fine, I shall indulge you this time. Sayian women are really attracted to strength. Show her how strong you are and she will surely be drawn to you.”
Gaining this information Piccolo begins to plot a very devious skit to get you to acknowledge Piccolo’s great strength. Piccolo was able to get Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 to basically act evil and try to kill him in your presence.
Once you seen Gamma 1 and 2 attacking Piccolo memories begin to flash before your eyes and rage seeps throughout your body. The energy surrounded you was a bright blue as you zoomed to grab Gamma 1 and had a ki blast growing in your palm directed towards Gamma 2.
“What do you two think your doing?”
Your voice was deep and the words came out like a growl. Piccolo had to tap your shoulder to get you to stop.
“Then why were you guys fighting?!”
Piccolo quickly came clean to you on his plans. You couldn’t help but shake your head, powering down in the process.
“You don’t need to create this scenarios to try to get me to like you. I already do.”
This came to a shock to Piccolo as the tips of his ears begin to brighten red. You float over to him and place a kiss on his cheek, resulting in his whole face blossoming into a red color.
Bonus
“Is it just me or are the two of them been acting weird lately?”
Goku stares at you and Piccolo, the two of you talking happily. Which is really you having a bright smile on your lips and Piccolo nodding very frequently, a small smile on his own face.
“Dad, you are just so clueless.”
Gohan shakes his head. Vegeta’s arms folded as he had a frown on his lips.
“Sometimes I wonder how you and ChiChi even got together.”

Hello if this is alr may I ask for a scenariowith goku where the s/o is sick? Tyt
Goku x Sick!Reader headcannons!!
Hiii your request is very cute!! I've decided to do it rn. Of course, for the sake of the scenario, senzu beans doesn't exists there. I hope you guys will enjoy this!! <33
Type : Fluff
Warnings: none
Words:2077
First of all, you do not want to get sick.
Why?
The house would be in a mess, Especially if youe sickness last for long. Plus you don't want your husband to be sad don't you?
But no worries! There won't be just inconvenients.
Right...?
You hope so.
Today you woke up way later than usual. You knew before watching the clock, as you could feel the warmth of the sunlight. You usually woke up around 9 or 10am. But when you watched the clock it was 2PM. Your throat hurts so much, and so does your head. Your husband wasn't home. He's probably around training with Vegeta or saving the world. You didn't wqnt to worry Goten, since he's having a sleepover at the Brief's. And Gohan was minding his own business with Videl and studies. So you could only count on yourself for now. You tried to get up, but miserably failed. Ad even your legs decided to give you up today. That's when you realized, that you fell sick. When I mean sick, I mean badly sick. Hopefully you did not get hurt when you fell since the carpet protected you. You remember buying it because Goku used to often fall of the bed while slepping. Reminding this made you smile. But not for long since your headache just got worse. You've tried to at least get on the bed because even if the carpet was confortable, you were starting to get cold. Yet hot at the same time. But that's how being sick works I guess. You managed to at least get on the bed, earning a sigh of relief. You've closed your eyes waiting for the pain to go away.
That didn't last long as you heard a Saiyan spawning in your room. You've weakly opened your eyes, and seeing a worried Goku. He looked so cute like this. Goku approached you, taking your hands gently, showing genuine concern and love towards you. He bent down to your level, to be able to have an eye to eye level of communication. "Are you alright? What's wrong?" He spoke in a concerned and soft tone of voice. "I think I've got sick.." You've replied weakly as Goku put a hand on your forehead. Upon examining her further, Goku felt the presence of a fever, your body temp rising. Yoir skin hot to the touch. He frowned and looked down. "Uhm.... How to take care of a sick person?.." He mumbled to himself, but you've clearly heard it. You want to face-palm yourself right now, but it'd be very very dumb of you. "There's a diary I have on my desk that gives tips about what to dos when someone gets sick." You've explained him so he could actually take care of you. This is a diary you originally wrote when you've learned that Gohan would be born, so you would know how to properly take care of your child. After hearing this Goku immediately headed towards your desk looking for the specific diary. "Woahhh!! Y/n I'll never get used to how smart you are!! This is amazing I'll be able to help you now!!" Goku reads the diary giving tips, and even easy recipies that could help healing.
He was so invested he decided to wear the hello kitty apron you usually wear when you're cooking. He looked so cute it just made you blush even more. Which made Goku panic even more since he thought your condition was worse. "Wahhhh!! Hold on Y/n!! I promise I'll heal you!!" He yelled as he rushed downed stairs the diary in his hands. You just decided to close your eyes, as a little smile made it's way onto your face at his clumsiness and cuteness. Your heard him starting to cut something that were probably herbs, and boiling water. He's probably making the tea recipe with a drop of honey you've written. That is always working against a cold. At least it did for Gohan and Goten. You could feel a sweet scent of honey, with what seemed like mint in the air. It relaxed you so much that you didn't even feel the Saiyan's presence in the room. "Y/n!! I've finished making the tea you needed!!" Goku said which startled you. He had a big goofy smile and was very proud of him. It was the cutest of all. He positioned you in a sitting position, and handled you the cup of tea. "Be careful it's pretty hot!" He said with a loving voice that made your health melt. He was so excited to see your reaction that he got really close to your face like a little puppy. You've sipped the tea and immediately spit on him.
"Hey!! What was that for?!" Goku yelped as his face burns due to the tea. "Go take a wet towel at the bathroom you dumbass! Quick !!" Goku heard the worry in your voice so he did as you told, and went to the bathroom to relieve the pain. He come back to your shared bedroom with what seemed a wet towel for you. "I've seen in your book that using a wet towel can help so there it is!!" Goku spoke gently placing the wet towel and hour forehead. You smiled. "Thank you Goku. It means a lot to me." Goku only chuckled scratching his nose. A tic he often does you've noticed. "By the way Y/n... Why did you spit out the tea I've made?" Goku asked rising a eyebrow. "Well...... Why did you put in that tea Goku?" you've asked him. "Oh! I've boiled water, I've cut some mint and some valerianand some lavender, and then when I put it all in the water I've added the drop of honey just like the diary said!!" Goku said sheepishly making you frown. (for those who do not know, valerian is a flower that can be used against colds.) "Maybe the herbs have expired?.." You've mumbled to yourself. Since he has done the exact recipe you've done. They was the only thing that could have messed up the tea. "Oh! And I've added 5 cubes of sugar because I was worried it'd have no taste!!" You were dumbfounded. The way your face dropped, made Goku wonder if something was wrong. "Did it got worse Y/n?" He asked the hint of worry obvious that made you on the point to forget his miserably failure. "Goku take the cup of tea in the kitchen and taste the tea." Goku was confused but only nodded. "Alright I'll be back Y/n!!" He went downstairs with the cup of tea and mumbled. "Why does Y/n wanted me to taste it??" He mumbled. In the kitchen, he sipped the tea and immediately spit it out too. "Wahhhh!! It's way too sweet!!" You've heard the Saiyan scream and smiled. You've expected him to come back directly after but he didn't, so you've waited for him with closed eyes.
When you've heard footsepts in your room you opened your eyes and saw the Saiyan with a new cup of tea. "Hehe... The last one was horrible so I've made a new one following the exact recipe...!" Goku said handing you the new cup of tea, and watching you intensely waiting for the verdict. You've sighed and took a sip, it was perfectly sweet. "Hmmhh! It's perfect! Thank you Goku!!" You've exclaimed as a big smile made it's way onto Goku's face. "Wohoo!! I'm glad you like it!!" You then handed Goku the cup of tea so he can taste it so he sees that he didn't need to add sugar. "Here try it." He immediately accepted the offer and took a sip. "Wahh!! This is super sweet! I love it!" Goku said giving it back to you. If you weren't dick he would have drank all of it but you needed it most. "Hehe of course, I've created this recipe on purpose, it always worked and is sweet. The perfect combination!!" You've said proudly. To be fair, you struggled so hard finding this recipe in the past, trying so many different ingredients just to be sure your future children with Goku would take it easily and it always worked. "You did amazing Y/n! It's a very nice one I'll definitely drink it more often!!" You smiled, his words melting you. You did not told him but you also created many recipes for the muscles. To help him becoming stronger, but you forgot about it in the past due to your children getting less and less sick, so you've completely forgot the diary until today. You'll tell him another time though. You wanted to rest right. "Now Y/n, you need some rest. Sleep and leave me the rest!!" Goku kissed your cheek and changed the towel on your forehead as he left the bedroom closing the door. You fell asleep rather quickly, thanks to help of your clumsy husband.
Speaking about clumsy, he was in the living room, watching tutorials on YouTube about how to fold clothes, since the house was a big mess. He was so invested it looked like the universe would blast if he wasn't doing it right. He even sorted them! After tidying the clothes, he took the vacuum, and sucked up the dust all around the house. Only downstairs though, since he did not want to wake you up. After he finished, he took a break and lied and the couch. Sighing, he wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Phew!! Who could have thought cleaning the house would be so tiring? I really should help Y/n more..." He felt guilty. You two have been marred for a very long time yet he barely helped you out for cleaning. Thinking this only made him wanting to continue. He got up and watched a tutorial about how to wash the dishes, and to wash the clothes, how to dry the clothes, when he finished all do it he was way more sweaty than when he was training making him think. "Oh! Maybe cleaning will make me stronger too!" Goku exclaimed to himself. But before doing anything else he looked at the clock and saw he took 2 great hours doing the cleaning. He went Upstairs, softly opened the bedroom, made his way towards you, kissed your cheek, and changed the towel over your head. After doing that he couldn't help but kiss your cheek one more, enjoyed the sweet moment even if you were sound asleep. "Y/n sure does look better now. I'll still let her rest more. But what should I do waiting for her?.. Oh I know!!" Goku made his way in the kitchen unaware of you waking up. You've yawned like a big fat cat and rubber your eyes. You felt way better, your head hurts a little bit but not your throat, and as you tried to get up you did not fall this time, which made you happy. You smelt a weird scent downstairs so you made your ways towards it, and it lead you to the kitchen. When you entered the kitchen, the frying pan exploded, making you and Goku have a black face. Goku noticed your presence as he laughed akwardly. "Hehe..Hehe.... He... Hey there N/n... When did you woke up do you feel better?.." He asked really wanting to know, but also using this as an excuse to not get killed. "Oh don't call me N/n you're a dead man!!" Goku yelped when he heard you saying that and started running away. You chased after him of course and when you managed to hold his shirt successfully stopping him, you triped. Miserably. "Woah Y/n! Be careful!!" He scolded you for the first time ever. He carried you on put you on the bed. As you pouted wanting to demolish that man. "Leave the rest to me alright?? I promise to clean my mess!!" Goku said as he smiled and made his way downstairs again as you closed your eyes.
Maybe you will kill him another day.
I think that was the one shot I've enjoyed writing the most now!! It was so cute and so fun to make!! So I hope you guys will enjoy this as much as I did!!
Take care love y'all <33

Did Master Roshi actually teach anyone the Kamehameha to anyone? Or did it become the turtle hermit signature move because all of his students independently stole it from him?
The latter. So far as we know, the Muten-Roshi has never successfully taught the Kamehameha to anyone in his entire career.
It's not super clear whether Roshi ever taught the Kamehameha to his apprentices Gohan and Gyumao (or "Ox Demon King"). Gyumao is fairly inconclusive; He needed Roshi to put out the fire at Frypan Mountain, but his A-plan was to use a magic fan to create winds, not a ki blast to blow it up. So there's no evidence that he knows the technique, but no evidence that he doesn't either. That can go either way.
When the Muten-Roshi first performed the technique at Frypan Mountain, Goku reacted like he'd never seen this before.
Gohan never used it in front of Goku. But he does know how to perform the technique; That much was confirmed at Uranai Baba's tournament.
So we can probably put him down for having learned it from the Muten-Roshi. That's one, at least. He certainly didn't learn it in the afterlife; Unlike Goku, he did not take his body with him so he could go study martial arts. He's living it up in Buddhist Heaven, having as good a time as his accumulated karma affords him.
Gohan is enjoying his retirement from the mortal coil. So he most certainly learned the Kamehameha the "normal" way.
His adopted kid, on the other hand, famously cribbed the Kamehameha from Roshi right then on that day at Frypan Mountain.
OKAY BUT WHY THE CAR THO
GOKU
GOKU WHY
The other Kame-senryu students weren't as quick on the uptake as Goku... but only in the sense that it took them three years instead of five seconds to learn this technique that takes fifty years to master. Yamcha unveiled his first Kamehameha at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, startling their master.
He'd worked it out at some point during his and Krillin's training together and kept it to himself, so he could unveil it here at the tournament.
Not to be outdone, Krillin took Yamcha's accomplishment as motivation to figure out the technique mid-fight during his match with Chiaotzu.
Seeing everyone else suddenly breaking out Kamehamehas left and right, Tenshinhan decided to also do one just for shits and giggles.
He wasn't impressed.
Many years later, Cell would reveal his ability to use the Kamehameha as a form of shocking foreshadowing.
He never learned the technique, so much as he recalled it through his genetic memory or something.
Cell's abilities are weird.
At the Cell Games, Gohan unveils his very first Kamehameha. He most certainly learned it from Goku, either during their three years of Android training or during the one year in the Room of Spirit and Time. He didn't get to fight anyone prior to the Cell Games so it's not super clear when exactly he picked it up, but he did.
It's at this point that the meaning of what the Kamehameha even is drifts, as naturally occurs when a student takes their master's art and makes it their own. To Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha, the Kamehameha is their master's signature technique and thus necessarily a core part of their own styles.
But for Gohan, it's not the Muten-Roshi's technique; It's Goku's technique. So it fits that this battle, the battle over Goku's legacy between his son and his clone who embodies his life's journey, is where Gohan finally takes the Kamehameha and makes it his own.
The same is true of his other son, Goten, who attempted to perform the Kamehameha during the 25th Tenkaichi Budokai's Junior Division, though he mispronounced it.
According to Goten, he'd just learned the "Kamekameha" recently. It's likely that Gohan taught it to him.
Which brings us to the last person ever to learn the technique:
Majin Buu cribbed it off of Goku.
All things considered... a couple of people do seem to have picked up the technique by being trained in it but overall, I think Tenshinhan had the right of it when he called it an elementary move that's easy to master. At least for a cast of super-prodigies.
The Kamehameha is not a very impressive technique in the grand scheme of things. It's outclassed in power by stronger concentration techniques like the Makankosappo/Special Beam Cannon, the Galick Gun, Final Flash, and especially the Kikoho/Tri-Beam.
What the Kamehameha really has going for it is its versatility. It forms the basis for a variety of clever tricks and variations over the course of the series, especially in the hands of the ever-adaptable and ever-creative Son Goku. It's basic, but Goku more than anyone knows the value of mastering your basics.
