had an epiphany
all the details in heimdall’s character I’ve been listing yesterday:
his eyes being the same as regular asgardian soldiers, despite his special connection to bifrost
the pattern around his neck seemingly being a parallel to atreus’ necklace - arrowhead that ended baldur
his theme being a rework of magni and modi’s theme
is this all just him mirroring people that have been used and discarded by odin, thrown to death by him, to get what he wants? is this about him being expandable just like everyone else, despite being so loyal and thinking himself special?

Third is gonna show up and be responsible for taking the shady uncle down. I know he doesn't seem to be the type to be packing, but he's gonna redeem himself from the first timeline. Trai tried to kill San, and killed Wad in the process, due to his jealously. This time he's gonna save San, and everyone's, life because he just wants Vee happy, even if it's not with him.
And then he can meet Tao or Ju, or both, and live happily ever after.

#when i was first coloring him in he was gonna be golden chinchilla colored but then i was like ehhh jonah magnus should be red/orange but#elias should be gray ...so i just desaturated what i already did instead of recoloring lol but#he is now supposed to be shaded silver lol#but thats why his coat pattern is on the darker side compared to what it *should* be#og elias bouchard coming from an important/roch family and while whole thing with thinking he just *deserves* stuff bc of his upbringing.#etc. -> he is purebred and matches the breed standards etc for a scottish fold of his color#obviously the eye color doesn't matter because. ahaha#i thought elias fit the Scottish fold vibes because: Scottish folds are known for looking sort of like owls and having intense eyes#and the cat body/face type (also present in british shorthairs) to me gives off sort of... unnasumming vibes?#like ahaha yes i am a boring boss who loves paperwork look at how unnasumming i am season 1-2 elias y'know#trying to think of what cat breed jonah would be. and also jon gerry etc you know all the other characters i like#would it be boring to have multiple british shorthairs#i mean..#Michael shelley/distortion is a laperm that's all I know#i didn't particularly care with the personality attributes associated with eliascat because it didn't need to fit his personality on account#of not being his original body. but i do try to keep in mind the best personality/look/etc. cat attributes as a whole for a character#also sometimes get obsessed with jt making historical and geographical sense but then it just limits me greatly to a point im not into it#so i don't care about specific breeds in that respect lol#tma#my art#elias bouchard#the magnus archives#some notes looking back(made it 2 hours ago but still looking back ok..) on it now are that i feel like elias would never choose this breed#for his next bodyhop because of the inherent health issues in scottish folds. I saw the breed was created in like the early 1960s and#assumed that maybe the health issues wouldn't have been common knowledge until later enough for jonah to be unaware of them but actually no#there's legislation about it like 6 years later LOL so jonah would..maybe not make this choice#i guess in the future when drawing i will just make him a British shorthair#my catTMA is simultaneously 'they are just regular cats or like all show cats or something' and 'exact tma plot but as intelligent cats'#LOL its just vague in my mind idk..also maybe jon can be an Abyssinian#ALSO WHAT WAS I THINKING 'jonah may not have been aware about x thing' like did i...did i forget. me 2 hours ago was dumb as rocks

why does it feel like the only options anymore are babygirl ed teach into oblivion and pretend like he never did anything bad, or make him the worst person on the fucking planet and incapable of doing anything to earn any forgiveness (not that he even tries)
#im just. frustrated i guess#i see posts calling him an innocent princess and acting as though everyone deserved what he did#(and by everyone i mean izzy because they forget literally anyone else was hurt by him)#and i also see things where they make him just. everything the legends say he was and unforgivable to the point even stede turns his#back on him#i think we should acknowledge ed did a hell of a lot of bad things to people for no reason (and im not talking about the regular ol piracy)#while also giving him the chance to apologise and grow and do better in the future#(and it upsets me to no end that the show couldnt even do that for him. they acted like it was one and done)#i think theres interest in exploring the nuance of what ed did and whether he can be forgiven by the characters#whether they even should forgive him either#but im not ever seeing pieces like that. nobody seems to be doing the nuance any more. its just all in one way or the other#maybe im fucking wrong for finding sympathy in his character while not excusing his actions#maybe its wrong to think that he should have to work for forgiveness but that he deserves the chance to do that#but i like to think there's a world out there where he builds something new with the crew. its different. but its something#he deserves the chance to try at least#nyxtalks#ofmd

#avatar#atla#avatar: the last airbender#atlaedit#zuko#katara#song avatar#v posts things#v watches avatar#It was the scar touch/almost touch that pinged my memory but realizing that the language Katara uses parallels Song too set me off#Zuko starts the season so stuck in his own pain#Song tries to connect and he's closed off because nobody can possibly understand him you see#until she shows him her burn and it shocks him#this girl who has been nothing but kind has one too. she can't have deserved it#what can that mean for Zuko who is going to need another season and a half to be able to say that what his father did to him was wrong#right now he still doesn't know how to acknowledge any of this to himself much less someone else#to reconcile it with how he still believes if he can just go home everything can be okay#but then he travels the earth kingdom and sees what the war and his nation's pride did to all these regular people#and finally finally he ends up back here again#though Katara is understandably not reaching out so much as lashing out#but this time Zuko is able to reach back and not only connect and empathize with someone else#but the fact that he can admit that the fire nation was responsible for one of the biggest losses of his life is a big step for him#and whether Katara and her spirit water would have been able to heal is scar is almost irrelevant#because ultimately it isn't about the scar but what it represents#he thinks people look at it and see all his shame. like if it wasn't there people wouldn't be able to look at him and Know#he doesn't get that people look at it like Song did#that here's someone who was hurt#and whatever he might have done he couldn't have deserved THAT#and it isn't until he goes and makes an actual shameful mistake of his own that he starts to see the difference

i know ive said something like this in the past but man laying it out like i did in that ask? team rocket really did fall apart the moment they were intended to be a genuine competent threat again, where giovanni suddenly did take them seriously and have a ton of faith in them.
#like sure does that make more sense as to why he lets them go to all these other regions? sure#but TR was a lot easier to get behind when they were a threat but also not serious enough for any high stakes#when in their own habitat at the base they are the lowest of the low who do not even get involved in regular grunt work#and who only stayed with the organization for the slightest amount of stability#it made them feel nearly sympathetic to some degree and made giovanni the actual threat look worse#and also giovanni nearly killing them to commit insurance fraud is fucking hilarious#but all of that is ruined when suddenly giovanni loves them and sees them as his peak agents who deserve his tech#the post thats like ''giovanni only keeps them bc they keep accidentally helping ash save the world'' is so awesome#and god i really wish it was ACTUALLY the case in the current canon#echoed voice#suddenly we ARE supposed to think theyre competent and that they ARE a major threat and that theyre super serious characters#so all the actual jokes with them are reeled in and now theyre JUST screentime filler#i think it shows even more clearly in their centric episodes in xy and jn#like yes they try to be funny. but something is lost there
