The Middleman's Love was a hard show to watch. it was an exaggerated comedy, the kind I hate. but I actually loved that aspect of it, because it's nothing but a facade. the drastic unfunny humor seemed to be nothing more then us seeing the world through the warped mind of a coping Jade. the walls of denial and delusion Jade has up so strong, EVERYTHING is a joke, a sick dark joke. It makes the show just as annoying and unlikeable as Jade believes himself to be. But it slowly shifts to a point of realness, so real that I almost couldn't handle it. Jade reached a point of vulnerability he couldn't joke his way out of, and all of the trauma he had buried started to surface. He was forced to face the pain he so desperately tried to avoid. It was heart wrenching. The way the world around him changed. I loved Jade in Bed Friend, and I love him even more in his own show. And Mai was so wonderful, he's so good to Jade, and it's truly what he deserves.

okay lunch break
So going into helluva I was expecting it to be more of the same uncomfortable unfunny hurnor and generally bland overall story with unlikable characters
Now the format for helluva being more heavily comedy focused lend itsself better to. It has ong watch d the pilot, I don't k ow if I was missing or info because it was really easy to sus out what the premise was,so it was much easier to jump into the rythem
I found overall the character design much freindlyier to the eye and they made more sense, instead of having details that confused me the shapes and colours and details were really fun to get a handle on in my brain and easy to understand
The humor while still crude I found much more enjoyable too, I was surprised I was actyally laughing at it, the humor is a similar vein to hazbin but it's just
Better? It's better executed and timed and fits way more with the overall theming and story, a lot of hazbins jokes felt uncomfortable or forced but the jokes in helluva actually didn't tend to overstay there welcome if I didn't like them
While the majority of the sexual jokes in hazbin fell on Angel dust and this felt unconfortble k owing his backstory and the fact that he's clearly hypersexual to cope, he also would continuously hit on people who had repeatedly expressed disinterest or told him to stop, this inherently made any jokes of him hitting on people incredibly uncomfortable
Wears In helluva the sexual jokes are splayed across the cast and don't overstay on the same way, it can be crude but the characters seem to genuinely enjoy their interactions with eachother making everything feel nicer.
Speaking of that the character interactions, growth and pwrsonalotys just felt way more fun and dragged me in making me actually care about their stories and hardships, they have fun and cute relationships together and genuinely seem like freinds and lovers.
Millie and moxxie make my heart melt.
It's very honest about the crude nature of it witch comes across really well, these are imps, demons, ect, of course there not going to give a shit about a lot of this stuff.
The action scenes in helluva are actually phenomonally coreophraphed with great perspective and really fun to watch! They feel convincing but still silly and badass and I found myself really caring about the outcome.
Halluva just manages to gather a repor for their characters and story hazbin completely falls flat at
And the songs in helluva also make more sense transition wise honestly, the whole things flows together really well without the off-putting tone shifts, instead it feels really balanced and we'll polished.
There are certain my still plenty of cristisms to be had for helluva but the comparison isn't even close and it's kind of crazy how different they are quality wise!
Is it possible it's because theres.moremout? Sure, but I started to feel like it was better only three episodes in, I was only gonna watch three of I didn't like it but it kept me hooked!
So yeah that's my thoughts on the two shows, I'll probably keep watching helluva honestly with how much fun I had with it, it really surpried me by how.much I enjoyed it especially compared to hazbin.
I already word vomited about it on two different chats but I watched hazbin and helluva for gits and shiggles and to get a more solid opinion and compare the, I'll talk about it sometime but I have to sleep for now

2 and 11 from the uncommon questions? 😊 Have a great day 💕
Hiii! ❤
2 - How easy is it for your character to laugh?
Elya - Somewhat easy. He understands different kinds of humor well, but not a lot of them are particularly funny to him, tbh. He'll play along and find it cute if you try to be funny, though.
Ian - Very easy. Laughing is how Ian deals with a lot of things, so crack any joke, especially an unfunny one, and this man will be laughing at it.
Joana - The toughest one in that sense. She naturally has an odd sense of humor and doesn't laugh all that often. That way, it's likely that Joana will smile and tilt her head in confusion if someone is trying to be funny, while laughing a lot about something that will make people go (????) instead.
11 - How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?
Elya - "I'm sorry, can you clarify this part, please?" - Until he understands everything perfectly. He isn't afraid to ask questions and will want to understand well anything someone is willing to teach him about.
Ian - It depends on how important he deems that knowledge to be for him, specifically. If he thinks it's important, he will act similarly to Elya, being quite proactive. If he doesn't think it's important, he'll pretend to understand it and try to change the subject.
Joana - Will tell you exactly what she understood from your explanation, in her own words, so that you can catch what's the part she's not getting quite right. Joana has found this approach to be more efficient than trying to explain what it is that she didn't understand to the other person, which can often lead to even more confusion.

I know you're not happy with the show but making things up is really damaging your reputation. The show is not a failure; it's the biggest launch of any disney+ show so far with the highest ratings. The first trailer has so many views because it's 7 months old, compared to the first episode being out a week and a half. The CGI doesn't look like it was done by a two year old (seriously lmao??). The tesseract looks dull because it powers down once in the TVA. Stop pretending Loki was mind controlled when Marvel confirmed in his character bio that he was emotionally influenced by the scepter. Bucky was mind controlled. Selvig and Hawkeye were mind controlled. Loki was influenced like Banner and the others were by the sceptre when they were around it on the helicarrier. Please consider that care has been taken to make Loki more multifaceted in this show, not OOC - he's just got more emotion and character to him now and feels to me and a lot of others, more like a living, breathing person who is struggling in the immediate aftermath of being shown the most traumatic recap of his life. I'm really sorry you're not happy with him, but his emotional core and inner heartbreak is being treated with love and respect by the show.
Hahahahahahahahhaha oh my god anon this was a funny read. Ngl usually when ppl come clowning in my inbox with incoherent rants I just delete it. But this was some quality clowning. This was just too funny to not share with everyone. So I’m gonna go line by line here.
“I know you're not happy with the show but making things up is really damaging your reputation.”
I’m gonna be real with you anon. This makes me sad because I will never write anything this funny. This made me laugh out loud. My reputation? My reputation?!?! I run a blog on Tumblr dot com. No reputation can recover from that. Also as to making things up? Uh. Where??? Just because you don’t like what I have to say doesn’t mean it’s made up. However with that kind of attitude I think you have a bright future ahead of you working in PR for the GOP. They love people who talk like you.
“The show is not a failure; it's the biggest launch of any disney+ show so far with the highest ratings.”
Ok I literally just talked about that HERE. But let me add a few more points here for your convenience. First of all, Disney+ hasn’t actually been doing that great. In fact Disney’s stock recently fell precisely because Diseny+ has underperformed. It missed growth expectations and none of the shows have attracted that big of an audience. Loki had MASSIVELY more interest than either WandaVision or TFATWS and yet it only drew 890K households for the premier - just barely more than either of those shows got. There haven’t been any numbers released for the episodes after the premier but given how boring and unfunny and uninteresting the premier was, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of viewers, especially more casual ones, didn’t come back for more.
“The first trailer has so many views because it's 7 months old, compared to the first episode being out a week and a half.”
Incorrect. Trailers get most of their views in the first week, and the vast majority in the first 2 weeks. Indeed, they get the most engagement in the first DAY usually and then it starts slowing. The early trailer that got 18 million views got most of that very quickly and then has grown extremely slowly ever since. The more recent trailers are not tracking to get anywhere near than engagement. Why? Because interest is dropping. Now maybe people just aren’t as interested in the trailers because they’re just happy to watch the actual show now or because they loved the first trailers so much that they decided to watch the show just based on that and didn't want to spoil themselves watching later trailers. Who knows. I certainly have my theories though.
"The CGI doesn't look like it was done by a two year old (seriously lmao??)."
Actually I said the posters looked like they were done by a 2 year old. Most of the CGI looks like cheap made-for-tv effects done by an underpaid and under qualified adult. But go off I guess. Also don’t even try to defend those badly photoshopped posters to me. I have eyes. I could argue with you but a picture is worth a thousand words. And just. Look at this thing! This is real. It’s so bad but it’s real. Who wants this?
Tumblr media
"Stop pretending Loki was mind controlled when Marvel confirmed in his character bio that he was emotionally influenced by the scepter.Bucky was mind controlled. Selvig and Hawkeye were mind controlled. Loki was influenced like Banner and the others were by the sceptre when they were around it on the helicarrier"
That’s mind control lmao. The scepter was magically influencing his mind. Do you think emotions come from our feet or something?! (And that’s not even getting into the torture and conditioning he underwent or the fact that the Other had his claws in Loki’s mind and was hurting and threatening him in addition to the mind control). Also why do you think it’s appropriate to come on my blog like this and make these sorts of demands? This is my fandom blog that I run for fun. I can engage however I want. You need to learn to cope with that. If you enjoy the show that’s great. Go enjoy it. Don’t tell other people what to think. That’s not appropriate, reasonable, or healthy. If you find yourself truly unable to cope with strangers having different opinions from you about a tv show based on a comic book I definitely suggest you seek help from a professional.
"Please consider that care has been taken to make Loki more multifaceted in this show, not OOC - he's just got more emotion and character to him now and feels to me and a lot of others, more like a living, breathing person who is struggling in the immediate aftermath of being shown the most traumatic recap of his life."
I don’t see any evidence at all of care being put into the show. The writing and storytelling is incredibly sloppy. It gets even the most basic things wrong - like Loki’s speaking style or the fact that he wasn’t young in the 70s or that he speaks the Allspeak not English or his skin tone or hair length or the fact that Jotun!Loki should’ve had ridges on his skin. The head writer and story creator also is openly disdainful of Loki and talks about how he’s a “shithead” and “proper and pompous” and how he needs to be put in a situation where he has to stop “blaming” Odin and Thor for all his problems. He shows no understanding of Loki’s character or care for it. Maybe care was put into the show and they just messed up but I don’t see evidence of that. There’s certainly no way you could know that for a fact unless you are involved in the production in which case you are a biased source who has an ulterior motive for silencing critics of the show.
Also TV!Loki doesn’t feel like a real person to me at all. He feels like a caricature. He doesn’t act like Loki or do or say the things he would or even stand like he would. Look how Loki behaved when being interrogated by Natasha or when being berated by Odin. Loki is someone who puts on a performance as a sword and a shield. TV!Loki is a stupid clown.
"I'm really sorry you're not happy with him, but his emotional core and inner heartbreak is being treated with love and respect by the show."
No it’s not. It’s being turned into a punchline. The “humor” in the show derives entirely from invalidating Loki’s feelings and retconning his motivations and humiliating and mocking and denigrating him and turning him into a literal punching bag. The show robs the character of all dignity and seriousness and makes a mockery of him and the fans he meant so much to. And for what? The humor isn’t even funny.

Ask thingy for Rai! 1, 2, 11, 17, 22, and A), H)
Ahah- sorry for taking so long to answer
1. What's the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?
Normally Rai doesn't have much time to sit around. this man just being busy but sometimes he just sits there stares at a point and loses himself in his mind what can take a hour or two until he does something again.
2. How easy is it for your Character to laugh?
That actually does depends on the person. Hd doesn't have many social contacts but he is always to have for a stupid and unfunny joke- God he doesn't have a good humor
11. How do they cope with confusion? (seek, clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?
Depends once again on the person and on the kind of conversation. If it is interesting he tries to get clear what's actually going on or pretend he does know what's happening. If not he ignores it or breaks the conversation.
17. Are they easily embarrassed?
Not exactly he doesn't care what other people think about him as long as they do what they got told and show him respect
22. How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)?
He ignores the person and if it gets to much he leaves to a quiet place and get lost in his thoughts.
A. Why are you excited about this character?
Rai has a life I would actually enjoy to have- I love this trash dude a lot and love his character.
H. What trait do you admire most?
That he can be Free and can do (mostly) everything he want to. I can't explain it right I admire everything about him

Fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Warnings: Canon-typical mental health issues, unhealthy coping mechanisms [there’s a hopeful ending to this mess, though].
.
Inch by inch.
Inch by ragged inch, Tony Stark clawed himself back to some semblance of normalcy.
Or, well, tried to, anyway.
Fought hard against the monster, the ragged, yawning void that thrummed under his skin— with nothing but his AI and sheer willpower.
He’d been tempted to turn to the alcohol— but he refused to become Howard, [if only out of spite] so that was right out.
Inch by inch.
Tony spent more time in his private labs than he did with people, nowadays. It was probably unhealthy, but then again nobody noticed so the point was probably moot.
Just— buried himself in a safe cocoon of metal and numbers and let loose, trusting JARVIS to watch his back the way very few humans had proven to be capable of doing [the few times he’d tried—never mind]. Finally lowered his guard, and went over the cracks with duct tape and JARVIS’ snark and coffee and gentle amusement at Butterfinger’s antics. It wasn’t healthy. But it was the best he could do.
Inch by inch.
Last time he’d been reforged, it’d been in a nameless cave in Afghanistan. For some reason, though, that time had felt simpler than now, when he was trying to put the shattered pieces of his life back together in the comfort of his own home.
But he did it. He cut himself sometimes, on the more jagged fragments, and it was the single most uphill battle he’d ever fought— but he pulled through. When he finally emerged from his haven, he was closer to an even keel than ever before.
Nobody noticed.
For the longest time, and sometimes Tony didn’t know if he felt proud that he’d managed to hide it so well, or resentful of the fact that some people seemed to think he was just being melodramatic when he’d been drowning— but it didn’t matter in the long run, now, did it?
.
...Except for when it did, apparently.
The Avengers had been getting to know the newer members of the team, what with the potential for roster changes— and nobody’s quite sure who brings it up. The PTSD thing, that is.
Sam Wilson’s demeanor is very open, very willing to listen. Kicker is, that’s the thing that raises Tony’s defenses; he would’ve been more amenable to talking about some of his experiences in another setting, but Wilson’s ability to turn the conversation into emotions when they’d been sharing a laugh over a drink about the last battle that has him clamming up.
The others noticed, too. Some of them needled him, probably thinking he was like his old man, all ‘Stark men are made of iron’ and ‘mental illness? Bah, you’re just weak’ bullshit Howard liked to spew as he poured out another few fingers of whiskey into his glass. So Tony just shrugged it off.
And he keeps shrugging it off, until Sam waits until the rest of the team’s headed off to do their own thing, and with a knowing yet understanding gaze, asked, “When’s the last time you got help?”
In retrospect, it wasn’t funny. Even if it was hilarious at the time, and Tony hadn’t been able to help but laugh so hard he’d had to put his drink down to avoid making a carbonated mess.
“You use humor as a coping mechanism, even if the others can’t tell. I can respect that.” Sam continued, and Tony was probably going to run out of air, he was laughing so hard. [And if he was maybe tearing up, so what? No one’d be able to tell if it was because he was laughing or crying.]
“Oh, man.” Tony finally managed, after a few minutes. Sam was kind enough to ignore his quietly wiping his eyes. “Sorry, but you have no idea.”
Then again, maybe he did— that sympathetic smile certainly had Tony leaning that way, anyway.
“But really, when’s the last time you’ve talked to someone about it? Any of it?”
Tony knew it was incredibly unfunny, but he couldn’t help but crack up again anyway at Sam’s face when he finally let someone else in on the joke. “Try ‘sometime before Afghanistan’, and that’s a very rough ballpark. Things only really went to hell a few months back, though.”
“No one?”
“Does JARVIS count?” Tony asked, and fought to keep a straight face at Sam’s look of horror.
“No offense, JARVIS,” Sam said as he pinched the bridge of his nose, “but no, Tony, your AI doesn’t count. What about the others? Didn’t you mention this Rhodes guy? How about Pepper?”
Tony shrugged. “Rhodey’s got a busy life, I’m not about to burden him with more bullshit than what he already has to deal with. Pepper’s the same way, only she also had her own issues what with the Extremis fiasco a while back, and Happy was hospitalized because of it. Either way, don't worry about it, I’m fine.”
Sam’s cool was slowly being chipped away, now, and Tony cast about for a way to bring the humor back because no one deserved to be stressed out over old news. “Sorry, man. You’re just looking at a rich kid with out-of-this-world problems.”
Apparently, though, Sam wasn’t having it. Especially since his expression steadily grew less and less amused, as he came to a conclusion that Tony could only scratch his head at. “So what I’m hearing is, you never received treatment for your textbook case of PTSD.”
“Oh, is that what it was?” Tony blinked, and Sam threw his hands up with a groan.
“And here I thought the rest of the team had issues. Okay, you now what? That’s it, next time I’m headed to the VA, you’re invited. Don’t know how that’ll look like, but you are.”
Tony couldn’t help but scoff, at that. “C’mon, those are for the people who actually need the help. A) I’m a civilian who’s closest thing to a combat zone was...well, you know, and B) I’m fine. Besides, I can afford it even if I did need it.”
Sam leveled him an unusually serious look, before burying his face with his hands, letting out a distressed groan. “How has nobody noticed it before?”
Tony shrugged, and started to reach for his drink again. “You’re the one who said it, not me.”
“I’m not qualified, yet— seriously, how? Does everyone just take your sense of humor at face value?”
Tony aimed fingerguns at him with a only slightly bitter smirk. “Got it in one. Besides— you gotta admit, it’s kinda funny. Like that one time I got shrapnel from a missile that literally had my name on it, you cannot beat the irony of that.”
Sam took a deep breath, and his answering smile was only slightly pained as he shook his head once more. “Again, please come with next time. You’d fit right in, I swear— Forrest has your same exact sense of humor, it’d be great.”
Tony paused for a moment, and his smile faded for the first time since Sam had broached the subject. It felt...disrespectful, to even think about comparing his experiences with those of actual veterans, but...if Sam was really insisting on it so much...
“I’ll think about it.” Tony finally said.
It couldn’t be that bad, could it?

Bro the Queen thing was just for a laugh lol let gay people make jokes
bro, if you had said ‘let gay people make jokes that make them sound like four year olds that just found out kindergarten exists’ I could have taken you seriously, but since you still can’t get into your thick performative activist heads that it’s not funny for anyone except maybe the three of you, I’ll explain you a few brief facts:
one: ¾ths of queen are straight so assuming they wouldn’t understand song they wrote and played (beyond somebody to love) already shows that you haven’t thought this joke through;
two: freddie mercury made a goddamned point to not make his sexuality a selling point or the only part of him people would be interested in when listening to his *music*, so your dumb jokes are something he would most likely fucking hate;
three: sorry to break it to you, but with all the sales queen had, going statistically, I can assure you more than half of their fanbase is straight, so congrats on assuming millions of people don’t get the bands they like;
four: music is an extremely subjective thing that tells different things to different people regardless of the original target of the song. I’ve seen articles titled ‘how I, a lesbian person, realized springsteen’s music wasn’t just for male cishet middle-aged guys’ in which people said that to them, a song that’s blatantly about a guy who killed someone and hightails it out of town and hopes that the border patrol doesn’t stop him, felt like it was about wanting to leave somewhere you had to stay in the closet and felt suffocated because you couldn’t come out. now, that’s nowhere near the original meaning of the song, but if for the lesbian author that related on that level… who the hell am I to make posts like ‘lesbians don’t understand springsteen songs’? spoilers: no one;
five: one reasons queen actually made it big was that their songs are actually very much relatable on a bunch of different levels and as I explained some ass who made jokes about how *straights* wouldn’t get I want to break free (written by a straight man btw but I see that now at least y’all are having the decency to pick songs that freddie wrote to throw shade at the straights TM, huh?), just that ONE song can be relatable for, FOR EXAMPLE, people with depression, people stuck in a phase of their life they hate, someone getting over a bad relationship and lgbt people who want to come out. and the lyrics to I want to break free are hardly extra complicated or difficult or obscure. of course then you have borap which no one still understands and freddie refused to explain but like… it’s IT CAN BE WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT regardless of whether their lyrics are obscure or the entire contrary. that was what made queen sell the number of records they did - because they make songs people can relate to, genius;
six: the fact that your ***joke*** assumes straight people can’t in any way shape or form conceive a life where they feel like they’ll be forever alone and no one will love them or they will never find a relationship says all about how **funny** it is because it implies dehumanizing an entire category of people and assuming they don’t have feelings or can’t conceive what y’all go through, which then turns into People On This Hellsite sending straight people TM the worst kind of bullshit and vile anons just because since we have no feelings and we’re supposed to take all your dumb unfunny jokes then it’s fine. idk, since I’ve been here according to you I should have laughed at:a) people telling me at thirty I was too old for anything and I should look for a husband and get married already;b) people telling me I was a homophobe/half of this dumbass website blocking me on sight for informing y’all that straight women find men sexually attractive as a general rule - no, really;c) someone telling me once that they hoped I’d find someone I would trust implicitly and give all of myself to in bed just to have them tell me the moment after we’re done that I was ugly and unlovable and I deserved to die alone;e) being called a bitch/homophobe an insane amount of times for pointing out that straight women who don’t look standard attractive have issues;f) people questioning why I went to therapy because I happen to relate to a character in a straight ship that they hated and the reasons why I went are Issues That Character Has.that was just the first six instances I could think of because they were personal but I assure you, your rhetoric about straight people TM being dehumanized aliens who hate y’all isn’t helping literally anyone;
seven: as someone who has fucking struggled with years with the issues the somebody to love narrator has (I did look at the mirror and felt horrible/almost cried when I was a teenager, I did wake up each morning feeling like shit for half of my time in uni, I’ve been struggling with managing initiating contact with other people since high school fucked me up in that sense, I’ve been told that I could never be attractive enough to find someone who’d love me and that I was too brainy or ugly or extra or threatening for men to even look at me and so on) and who has always found that song immediately relatable which is why, surprise surprise, out of all the songs freddie mercury wrote on his own for this band - not counting the march of the black queen but that’s another story - somebody to love is absolutely my single favorite and has always been since the second I heard it, because to me it was relatable at seventeen and it’s relatable now, the moment I read that fucking ****joke**** I literally felt a bout of vomit rise up in my throat, my stomach closed up and for a second I felt like crying as your joke was implying that my straightness disqualified me from understanding/liking a song I’ve loved and felt deeply for half of my life, but I suppose that doesn’t mean anything in comparison to the fact that you **gays of tumblr** need to have a laugh at the expense of 85% of the planet and not, idk, homophobes? no, you never say HOMOPHOBES COULDN’T UNDERSTAND QUEEN or whatever the fuck it is, you say straight people can’t. if you don’t see where the fuck is your problem I’d advise you to really go back to kindergarten because usually you realize that other people have feelings at about that age and I have a feeling that if this is your reasoning for saying I should shut up and have a laugh at my own expanse, well, you’re just an asshole;
eight: newsflash, bro, some people use music to cope with just about anything. I’m not the only person I know who has a fairly damned visceral personal relationship with the music she listens to, to the point where I can do the art is not the artist thing np with just about any media except music - I can watch a movie made by a person I despise or whose political views I despise, if I think it’s a good movie, I can’t physically listen to music from people I despise or whose political views I despise. heck, every time my local rock music station airs current lynyrd skynyrd’s music I mute it because their lyrics make me want to hurl and I actually do like the melody half of the time, but I can’t listen to them. and I know people who are way worse than me about this. if you show up basically telling me (or whoever else) that bands we like and helped us through whatever fucking shit life threw at us are now Not A Thing We Can Like Or Understand Anymore you’re being an asshole and for a thing that makes no sense because the beautiful thing about MUSIC in general is that everyone finds the music they like relatable for different fucking reasons even if it’s the same artist and your dumbass attempts at **gatekeeping** bands that existed since before you were born and straight people listened to since before you were born and whose records they bought before you were born is honestly just so fucking ridiculous and really kindergarten-level that if that is what you need to have a laugh I advise you to develop some sense of humor, because you sure as hell ain’t got one.
good enough for you? your joke wasn’t funny. deal with it e stacce.
also: I’m fucking done giving a shit about what kind of dumbass jokes at the expense of **straight people** y’all think is cool to make on here. are we oppressed for being straight? sure af not. but since most straight people on here are actually allies and support your rights and uh, are also human beings that aren’t just useful when you need someone to reblog your info posts informing us that ***straight people can reblog!!! :)))*** underneath after having reblogged your fucking jokes ten minutes earlier, I really don’t give a fuck about your need to have a laugh at the expanse of other people’s feelings and I’m going to reblog all the people telling you that y’all ain’t funny until my fingers fall off.

You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?
Anon requested headcanons about The Seven’s pet peeves.
Tumblr media
Joshua Faraday: Faraday absolutely despises it when someone ruins a joke. It doesn't even have to be his joke for him to feel a sense of ire toward the person who either doused a good mood; or has done or said something that rendered a perfectly good punchline unfunny. In response, Faraday will likely make a joke at that person’s expense, or very pointedly change the subject. People who think they are funny, but are not, can count themselves as personas non grata in Faraday’s book. Faraday’s sense of humor -no matter how dark it might tend to be -is one of his favorite coping mechanisms, and so if there is a joke he can’t laugh it, he finds himself sufficiently affronted.
Goodnight Robicheaux: Goody is a Southern gentleman through and through, so there is nothing that grates on his nerves more than rudeness. Whether it's something so blatant as being ungallant toward a lady; or someone being an ungracious host or guest; or something so casually rude as not saying please, thank you, or excuse me. In that same vein, being interrupted during conversation also drives Goodnight up the wall. Internally, Goodnight stews about other people’s lack of decorum, but if calling attention to it will exceed the actual infraction, he’ll probably let it go. On the other hand, if someone does something truly egregious, Goodnight will happily put a stop to it in as stylish and clever a way as he can.
Vasquez: It truly vexes Vasquez when people take things for granted. While Vasquez openly admits fearing attachment, it is also by necessity that he doesn’t allow himself many permanent or sentimental connections. It bothers him to see or hear people casually disregard the things they have in their own lives, no matter how trivial they might seem. He’ll frown, maybe shake his head, and go about his his business; but if was already a part of the conversation, he might call the person out. He’s not sure why he is compelled to, especially since he feels that much emptier for having done so, because his annoyance inevitably turns inward.
Sam Chisolm: Sam cannot abide stupidity, much less willful stupidity. Sam is smart, but he wouldn’t venture to call himself a paragon of human intelligence. Even so, any instance where a distinct lack of common sense gives him the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose and sigh, really galls him. Though he’s sure he should be grateful for criminals who are less than intellectually gifted, it absolutely amazes him how many times the people he hunts could have avoided him for much longer if only they’d exercised a modicum of thought. A disinclination toward learning, and improving never sits well with Sam.
Jack Horne: Conflating women with things irks jack to no end, and he doesn’t hesitate to verbalize his dissatisfaction. Taking the lord’s name in vain is also one of Jack’s pet peeves. He differentiates between cussing and breaking the third commandment. It’s something to which he doesn’t seem to remain spiritually unaffected; it hurts him to hear. If the blasphemy is particularly colorful, Jack will cast a baleful glance at the perpetrator, and shift his position in order to convey his consternation. The most he will say is a quiet “Alright, now,” in hopes that conversation will become tamer.
Red Harvest: Before he joined the rest of The Seven, Red had very few niggling complaints that could be considered pet peeves. Afterward, however, he discovers he has a plethora of things that really, as Goodnight says, “stick in his craw.” Invasion of his personal space, boisterous conversations going on when he would just as soon have quiet. Hell, even the ways certain members of the group chew their food can bug Red. He reminds himself to take a step back, and that these small grievances are one of the costs of being close to others. That doesn’t stop him from getting back at Faraday or Vasquez if the occasion calls for petty revenge, though.
Billy Rocks: Billy is not quite as unflappable as his cool demeanor might lead everyone to believe. When something does manage to chafe at him, he is bothered by the fact he allowed something so insignificant to affect him in the first place. Yes, being annoyed redoubles Billy’s displeasure, but what starts him down that path in the first place (aside from Goodnight’s occasional lapse in consideration where water-sharing is concerned)? Black and white morality doesn’t suit Billy. Any sort of zealotry, or unquestioning loyalty to a way of thought or action sets Billy on edge. This never causes Billy to act rashly, but it does make him wary.

Omg thats perfect. Nighteye: *angsting about all mights impending death* YUTS izuku: doesnt make a difference to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ohhhhh but it does, though. Because YUTS Izuku is terrified of seeing the people he knows and loves as ghosts. If anything, his lifelong proximity to death means it would affect him even more than most.
In fact, much of the conflict between Izuku and Nighteye in YUTS is going to stem from this very misunderstanding. If or when Nighteye finds out about Izuku’s original quirk, he’s going to come to the mistaken conclusion that it means Izuku doesn’t properly value life, which will only fuel his belief that he doesn’t deserve One For All.
It doesn’t help that Izuku’s methods for maintaining levity don’t line up with All-Might’s, and therefore Nighteye’s (because Nighteye idolizes All-Might; his entire humor fixation is based on All-Might’s smile). While All-Might and Nighteye use forced smiles and laughter to raise morale, Izuku copes with dark humor, by twisting unfunny things into dark jokes, the kind of jokes that you feel bad for laughing at. And because most of the unfunny things he has to work with deal with death and tragedy, it’s sort of set a precedent for his sense of humor that Nighteye doesn’t recognize as legitimate.
GOD I can’t wait to write their dynamic, it’s gonna be cool as hell.

Idk if you already said your thots on it but what do u think about the whole shane pedo thing? Personally I don't think he's a pedophile but I do think the joke he made was fuckn dumb n nasty
Shane Dawson is not a pedophile. Shane Dawson is guilty of making badly timed jokes and using dark humor to deflect the audience from the controversial topic and laugh as a result of "shock". Shane was also molested as a child so using humor in that particular way can be understood as his way of coping. But as for him "justifying" pedophilia he said it poorly but as someone who is fascinated in psychology and people's motives I understood where he's coming from. People have fetishes, a pedophile may justify his attraction as just a fetish. But we all know this is wrong as a child cannot consent. But it is interesting to think about. Why certain people may "fetishize" kids. Shane Dawson expressed this curiosity but in a very poor unfunny way.

20 - 30 odd for best boy ghost river
21. Do they have a temper? Are they patient? What are they like when they do lose their temper?
Huge temper but usually not in a loud and violent way more like wishing death on people that will mildly inconvenience him like the other legionaries making fun of him and he goes red in the face and mutters shit very quietly under his breath like “I hope all of you fall down in the Colorado and lose your swords and get punished for it...” but he isn’t actually mean and he has never hurt or attacked anyone when he has his temper tantrums. And he isn’t patient but most of the things he did do is because he was very lucky and persistent (like getting Logan to draw him his fursona)
23. Do they have a good memory? Short term or long term? Are they good with names? Or faces?
Very good memory about things he cares about, very bad memory otherwise. His mom would tell him to get her something twenty times but he will still forget not only to get it but what it was at all. However remembers very explicit details about things he likes and sometimes whole entire poems and chapters from books and comic books he has read - usually also recites them under his breath until he is caught by the others and pretends he isn’t talking to himself.
25. What do they find funny? Do they have a good sense of humour? Are they funny themselves?
He is very unfunny but he is funny unintentionally as in he says things that were not intended to be funny but end up funny. He thinks dark humor is funny and playful nihilism but he doesn’t like dark humor when its about hurting kids and animals and he kind of forces himself to laugh on sick jokes like that. He really, really finds it funny when he successfully pisses Logan off, which is a difficult but rewarding task.
27. What makes them sad? Do they cry regularly? Do they cry openly or hide it? What are they like they are sad?
Cries daily. He is just, very depressed most of the time and cries about wishing to have things he doesn’t have and also be different - at first he wishes he was like his dad, strong, feared and skilled but later he kind of wishes he was like Logan - good, kind and a better person (and he becomes so!). He also cried a lot when his mom left because he thought she left cause of him, cause she doesn’t love him or want him and he was being mean and since that he is never ever mean to her. Oh and he really hides it well, he runs at the edge of camp and far far from the Fort to cry sometimes or when he is on guard duty waits for everyone to sleep and cries along his route.
29. What do they do when they find out someone else’s fear? Do they tease them? Or get very over protective?
He probably thought he will use that fear against them, but actually he tries to help. He knows what it’s like to be afraid and if he can help it he won’t make people afraid on purpose - even though the other legionaries that bully him often get to hear how he took down eight NCR soldiers on his own and befriended a deathclaw he can call with a whistle but he isn’t doing it because he doesn’t want people to know of his “superpower” - its more coping and barging than deliberately trying to make his peers afraid.

✵ phii2hiing please for my children theyre starving :(
hiii!!!... this probably wont be so good :(
Their first impression of your muse:
Juno fucking hates captors. Even excluding the bad experience he had with the first one he got close to, he finds the generally unpleasant and unfunny. He hates meme humor. He hates the weird pedestals they put themselves on as the ~most mentally ill.~ He hates how they encourage hate hours or whatever. Theyre just unfunny to him and hes sick of them. He assumed scully to be the same but worse. The only times he likes typical captors is when theyre disgusted or repulsed by him, which he finds really funny. grossing out the alts that make their brand reliant on being gross.
Current impression:
He likes him!! He's definitely not as close as they used to be, though. Scully vanishing and then having a very very busy life kind of shot their close relationship dead. He doesn't really know what to talk to Scully about anymore unless he's asking him weird troll questions with John. Scully's also going through a LOT right now, which he.... He has thoughts, about the helm. None of them good, though, The gold in his timeline, Alphiz, they glorified the helm a LOT. He's got some bad biases about it, and essentially doesn't see Scully turning off his brain as a bad tihng but more as just a "healthy coping mechanism" due to the beliefs he has bc of Alphiz.
Are they attracted to your muse?:
no. not to out juno as a freak but he finds older guys attractive but he's already placed scully as familial friendship in his mind.
Something they find frightening about your muse:
how often he self destructs and lets other people hurt him just for the fuck of it. every time scully posts some shit anon he's just wondering why scully lets people talk to him like that in general.
Something they find adorable about your muse:
WHENEVER SCULLY GETS EXCITED OVER SOMETHING SMALL OR STUPID HE LOVES IT. also this bitch plays w101? he's so cool.
Would my muse sacrifice themselves for yours?:
i think before, the answer would be yes. but where their relationship is at now, it'd be a no.
Would my muse go on a date with yours? platonic/romantic:
Yes yes yes!!! He absolutely would
One word my muse would use to describe yours:
sorry tumblrs fucking up and wont let me indent this one. it'd be "wishywashy"
Would my muse slap yours if they could?:
yeah absolutely. i don't think hed want to but he would
Would my muse hug/kiss yours?:
i cant indent this one either tumblrs shitting its self??? calm down girlie. anyways yes! he would :)

An Extra Laughter with Kids...
Tumblr media
No one would ever imagine that laughter has the power to heal an individual, both physically and mentally. When children laugh, it can be uplifting for anyone listening to it, and it benefits the child in untold ways. And, the sound of children laughing can be very compelling too!!
The sound of children laughing genuinely is one of life’s most beautiful sounds. Whether it’s straight from the belly, a loud chuckle or a full-throated laugh, anyone listening to it can smile at the sound. It also makes one feel liberated and alive and fills one up with joy. Truly said, laughter is indeed the best medicine. Here are some widespread ways in which children can reap the benefits of their own laughter.
A sense of humor can brighten family life. You can blow raspberries on a baby's belly, put on a silly hat and chase a 3-year-old, or pretend to fall into a pile of leaves to amuse a first-grader. As kids grow into preteens and teens, you can share puns and jokes as their sense of what's funny grows more sophisticated.
Laughing together is a way to connect, and a good sense of humor also can make kids smarter, healthier, and better able to cope with challenges.
We tend to think of humor as part of our genetic makeup, like blue eyes or big feet. But a sense of humor actually is a learned quality that can be developed in kids, not something they're born with.
Tumblr media
What's So Funny Anyway?
Humor is what makes something funny; a sense of humor is the ability to recognize it. Someone with a well-developed sense of humor has the ability to recognize what's funny in others and can amuse them as well.
A good sense of humor is a tool that kids can rely on throughout life to help them:
see things from many perspectives other than the most obvious
be spontaneous
grasp unconventional ideas or ways of thinking
see beyond the surface of things
enjoy and participate in the playful aspects of life
not take themselves too seriously
Kids with a well-developed sense of humor are happier and more optimistic, have higher self-esteem, and can handle differences (their own and others') well. Kids who can appreciate and share humor are better liked by their peers and more able to handle the adversities of childhood — from moving to a new town, to teasing, to torment by playground bullies.
And a good sense of humor doesn't just help kids emotionally or socially. Research has shown that people who laugh more are healthier — they're less likely to be depressed and may even have an increased resistance to illness or physical problems. They experience less stress; have lower heart rates, pulses, and blood pressure; and have better digestion. Laughter may even help humans better endure pain, and studies have shown that it improves our immune function.
But most of all, a sense of humor is what makes life fun. Few pleasures rival yukking it up with your kids.
Different Ages — Different Humor
Kids can start developing a sense of humor at a very young age. But what's funny to a toddler won't be funny to a teen. To help your kids at each stage of development, it's important to know what's likely to amuse them.
Babies
Babies don't really understand humor, but they do know when you're smiling and happy. When you make funny noises or faces and then laugh or smile, your baby is likely to sense your joy and imitate you. He or she is also highly responsive to physical stimuli, like tickling or raspberries.
Sometime between 9 and 15 months, babies know enough about the world to understand that when mom puts a diaper on her head or quacks like a duck, she's doing something unexpected — and that it's funny.
Toddlers Toddlers appreciate physical humor, especially the kind with an element of surprise (like peek-a-boo or an unexpected tickle). As kids develop language skills, they'll find rhymes and nonsense words funny — and this will continue well into the preschool years.
And it's around this time that many kids start trying to make their parents laugh. Your child might deliberately point to the wrong facial feature when asked "Where's your nose?" or put on your shoes and clomp around the house.
Preschoolers
A preschooler is more like find humor in a picture with something out of whack (a car with square wheels, a pig wearing sunglasses) than a joke or pun. Incongruity between pictures and sounds (a horse that says moo) is also funny for this age group. And as they become more aware of bodily functions and of what gets a parent's goat, preschoolers often start delighting in bathroom humor.
School-age Kids
As kids move into kindergarten and beyond, basic wordplay, exaggeration, and slapstick will increasingly funny. They may discover the pleasure of telling simple jokes (it's fun to be the one who knows the punchline!) and will repeat the same jokes over and over.
Older grade-schoolers have a better grasp of what words mean and are able to play with them — they like puns, riddles, and other forms of wordplay. They'll also start making fun of any deviation from what they perceive as "normal" forms of behavior or dress, and gross-out jokes related to bodily functions are a hit too.
But kids this age are also developing more subtle understandings of humor, including the ability to use wit or sarcasm and to handle adverse situations using humor.
Humor Basics
It's never too early to start developing a child's sense of humor. Babies' smiles and laughs are so delightful that we often do this intuitively — smiling, blowing raspberries, or tickling them many times a day just to hear a chuckle.
It's important to keep up this encouragement as kids grow. When you're playful and humorous with your child, delighting in silliness and laughter, you help him or her develop a playful and humorous attitude about life.
One of the best ways to do this from the toddler years on is to spend time every day being receptive to the many opportunities your child gives you to smile or laugh. Be spontaneous, playful, and aware of what your child finds funny at different ages. Also be game enough to laugh so the jokes don't fall flat.
What else can you do to encourage your child's sense of humor?
Be a humor model. One of the best things you can do to develop your child's sense of humor is to use your own. Make jokes. Tell funny stories. Laugh out loud. Deal lightly with small catastrophes like spilt milk.
Take kids' humor seriously. Encourage your child's attempts at humor, whether it's reading (potentially unfunny) jokes from a book or drawing "funny" pictures of the family dog. Praise your child for trying to be funny and be open to surprise — the first time your child makes you laugh is one of life's great pleasures.
Teach kids that adults are funny — and that they can be too. Make humor a part of your day-to-day interactions with your kids and encourage them to share funny observations or reactions, even when you're around other adults.
Create a humor-rich environment. Surround your kids with funny books — for toddlers and preschoolers these include picture books or nonsense rhymes; older kids will love joke books and comics. Also check out funny TV shows, movies, and websites for all age groups — help your child make good choices and then enjoy them too.
Where to Draw the Line
You don't want to rain on their parade, but kids need boundaries when it comes to humor, just like they do in other areas. You don't want to encourage mean-spirited or off-color jokes, so be a good role model and avoid using humor in this way. If someone tells a hurtful or inappropriate joke, don't laugh. Take the time to explain to your child why that joke isn't funny.
You also might want to gently discourage bathroom humor or at least not participate too heartily. It won't hurt anyone's feelings but kids may have trouble determining when it's OK to make such a joke (at home, with family) and when it's not (in the classroom, at church).
The Family That Laughs Together...
Above all, humor is social. That's why you laugh harder at a funny movie when you see it in the theater with other people laughing around you than all alone on your couch.
A key aspect to developing your child's sense of humor is to take time to have fun as a family. Share jokes, play games, and watch funny movies together.
You might even adopt your own offbeat family traditions, whether it's hanging spoons off your noses or wearing matching pajamas. It will be funny now — and maybe even funnier in years to come, when you and your kids remember those silly family times.
