Tony pursed his lips as he kicked the ground them. There was a thing about disrespecting the graves but thus one was open. His Nana would have his head, thrust that shiny blue eyed painted charm into his hands and pray to etna.

Something about that sounded more horrifying. A giant volcanic... nevermind. He is getting off topic... he glowered at the grave wondering how even dead Howard manage to wreck the grass.

Feeling Bucky hover in comforting waves of warmth, Tony sighed pulling out a wrapped paper, "I swear he got me in a paranoid, bruising grip." He opened the paper and sprinkled salt around the grave.

"I mean evil people tend to do that. Alexander got my mind gripped."

"Horrifying." Tony let out softly, crouching he flicked the dead leaves, "you think he is in hell or just wondering around the earth?"

"Best case scenario, hell, but the worse case," Bucky placed a gemstone in a small indented plaque, "he is staying stuck right here."

Tony stared at the grave site before locking hands with Bucky, fingers intertwining, "happy birthday you..." Tony blew out a thing of air, hands releasing the clenching, "I hate you, still." He went with the simplest, less volatility way he can say it, "See ya next year."

Bucky looked over his shoulders keeping Tony in front. He watched as the yawning maw of Howard yelled at them both. A transculecent shimmer pounded silently. Coal eyes burned red as they grew in distance.

The unheard words being, "ANTHONY"

“I’m a twin”, Damian said one night. He could feel the narrowed eyes of his family drilling holes on his back in disbelief. Not that he could blame them. Damian had never so much as implied being raised with a companion, much less a sibling.

“I had a brother”. Damian paused to recollect himself. He had not said his brother’s name out loud in over 8 years.

“His name was… Danyal”. Damian hated the way his voice wavered, but he could not help it. Danyal was everything to him, his other half. Their heart beat as one and when one heart stopped beating, the other one died with it. At least until his family put his heart on metaphorical life support without ever realizing.

“Where is he now?” His father asked, voice filled with knowing grief and a hint of betrayal. It had in fact been 6 years since Damian first showed up on his doorstep.

“Up there”. All eyes shifted towards the specific star he was pointing to. “Right before he died, he promised me he’d guide me from the stars. Unfortunately, the stars are not visible in Gotham, so my brother is unable to be of much help unless I leave the city.”

“Your brother is Polaris, the North Star?” Tim questioned warily, most likely in attempts to not offend him. Damian was aware of how stupid it sounded, but Danyal had promised, and his brother never broke his promises.

“Yes. Danyal is with the stars now, just as he always wanted”

Turns out, being placed in a civilian family who have no knowledge of your background is actually detrimental to the health and development of a child assassin due to lack of proper support! Surrounded by strangers in a foreign city, Danyal Al Ghul does as assassins do best. He hides. Espionage is one of many teachings one learns in the League, and it only takes half a day for Danyal to construct a new persona to hide behind: Daniel Fenton.

By the time dinner rolls around, Danyal al Ghul is safely and securely tucked behind the face of Danny Fenton; brand new adoptive child of the Fenton family who came from overseas. A shy, quiet little boy with a thick accent and curly hair, with brown skin and blue eyes, and an avid interest in the stars. The best fictions are always cobbled together in a little bit of truth, it's some of the only truth he ever lets through. He apologizes in a meek voice for his behavior early, he didn't mean to be rude, and he watches the three of them eat it up with coos.

Lies roll like silk against his lips, he struggles to meet their eyes and offers them his weakest, shyest smile. It's too easy. It's easy to go from there.

Danny Fenton, adoptive son, shy and awkward and unconfident but friendly. Who struggles in his classes and isn't the brightest, but tries his hardest. He makes bad jokes and has a quick tongue and a sarcastic mouth. He wants to be an astronaut. He's got the best aim in school, and is a terrifying dodgeball player. He's one of the least athletic kids in his grade.

It's like playing two truths and a lie, but there's only one truth, and the rest are lies. It's easy to pretend when he knows it's insincere.

Danyal Al Ghul, grandson to the Demon Head. Deadly, trained assassin. Has spilled blood, has had blood spilt from. Environmentalist, animal activist. He loves the stars. He owns a calligraphy set. A sharp tongue, an even sharper blade. He's clever, quick-witted, he would be top of his grade if he tried harder. He purposely doesn't.

He misses his family. He misses his mother, and he misses his brother. Mother visits a few times a year, so few times that he can count it on both hands. He cherishes every visit, as brief as they are. It helps remind him who he is.

Sam and Tucker are Danny's best friends. They've never met Danyal, but Danyal's met them.

It becomes routine to become Danny Fenton. As familiar and as easy as pulling on a shirt in the morning. Danyal wakes up and is always first to the bathroom in the mornings; stares at himself in the mirror until he can finally see Danny staring back at him. At night, he locks his door and sheds the mask.

Dying throws a wrench in his mask; splits a crack straight through the porcelain. He's able to smooth it over with sandpaper and liquid gold, but it's a little hard keeping his ghost form under wraps. It instinctively wants to shift to show his true self. Danyal can't have that, he's spent four years as Danny Fenton, he'll spend another four as him as well. Even if the feeling of the hazmat suit in his ghost form feels restrictive, like a too-small shirt suctioned to his skin that needs to be peeled off.

He'll live. Er-- well, you know what he means. It's frustrating however, trying to keep his Danny Fenton mask up even as Phantom - fighting in the air is something he needs to get used to, and the sudden propping of powers throws him off. But he is nothing if not adaptive, and he hates that he needs to slow his own skills down in order to keep pretenses up in front of Sam and Tucker.

The first time Danyal summons a sword when he's alone, is one of the few times Danyal gets to grin instead of Danny. He's fighting Skulker, and from an invisible hilt he draws a katana from thin air. It startles them both. Skulker takes a step back at the smile that spreads across his face.

They're both silent as Danyal examines his new sword.

"Do you know what people like me do to people like you, poacher?" Danyal finally asks him, the accent he began to hide a few months in slipping through. He drops all pretense, dragging the flat end of the blade slow and appreciatively against his palm. It's a good make, and when he cuts it through the air, it slices through like butter. He looks up at Skulker with a smile; "are you ready to find out?"

When Sam and Tucker ask about why Skulker seems so skittish around Danny now, Danny shrugs at them and says with a playful smile; "I don't know, I guess I kicked his butt too hard after our last fight." and he watches as Sam rolls her eyes exasperatedly, and Tucker snickers with his own joke.

By the time he reunites with Damian before their 15th birthday, Danyal is buried beneath so many layers of Danny Fenton that his brother will need a shovel to dig him out. He's not sure what he'll find.

And sure Danny got mistaken for a French aristocrat that had died the day before they got there but it wasn’t to bad, it only made their jobs easier. It won’t be a problem for them.

Meanwhile Constantine, Batman and whoever the fuck else (imma say Hal, I love that green bitch) are exploring an abandoned manor in France after there being reports of strange, violent activity, and with their latest teammate Phantom not picking up their calls Constantine had to pull these two with him instead.

“Hey guys, Phantom’s a ghost, right?”

Hal sounds hesitant as Constantine replies

“Yes, why?”

“I think I found a picture of him living.”

and there on the wall is a picture of a long dead french aristocrat, with black hair and blue eyes but every other detail the same as Phantom’s

Heheheheheho I have gotten some of the Dragon Age books (🏴‍☠️) and this is gonna really let me dig into some stuff, especially my favorite guy Cole, cause now I can read his OG appearance, I want to see how much stuff Cole says, especially during his quest actually makes sense, and how much is in-universe "both sides are right"ing about not listening to what Cole wants to do.

I am mainly talking about Spirit!Cole thanking Inky for not making him change... Despite the fact that thoughout Cole's quest Solas ignores what Cole wants (Like being binded) & wants to do (Kill the guy who beat beyond beating a 12 (at most) year old (most likely, it isn't outright stated (to my memory) the Templar who fucked up the paperwork was also one of the ones who physically abused him, but I feel it's a pretty safe assumption) & got that child killed due to neglect & faced no consequences) but ultimately the choice that causes Cole to thank the player for not changing him is the one where you listen to Solas over Cole (Or well Varric, who also doesn't let Cole do what he wants but is closer to what Cole would have done if he had went alone for the confrontation) & in this route I would say Cole's character changes a lot more, especially as he forgets the original Cole, which... Rubs me wrong, but I'll save my more detailed thoughts for 1. After I fully read Asunder & 2. Either a full Cole analysis or a detailed post about my thoughts on his quest & routes (& maybe how I'd rewrite them, as a Autistic person & a ally to the aroace community)

Anyways my point is that I want to see how true it is characters rejected or wanted to change Cole, I want to see what leads him to feel that having two men argue & tell him who he is supposed to be & do only to have a third person decide out of those two's options for what he should do is remotely a situation where he's been accepted.

I love Sleep Token for Shigadabi! I've definitely talked about this before, but Rain, Take Me Back to Eden, Jaws, and Alkaline are all on my playlist for them. Atlantic also fucking slaps for them. Yo what if Sanzeng sealed Azure in the scroll?

Alright so, I was imagining how the friendship fall-out between the Brotherhood and Wukong went down and I got an idea when I was imagining the Brotherhood getting sealed in the scroll.

The preceding context for this is that the Brotherhood tried to enact their plan of sealing Wukong in the scroll, which Tang learned about in the episode Court of the Yellow Robed Demon.

Basically, the Brotherhood are fighting Wukong, although Yellow-Tusk was kinda offscreen in my head so it was really just Peng and Azure fighting the monkey. And they have the guy on the ropes, cause Wukong wasn't expecting that they would fight. And when Azure's about to seal Wukong in the scroll, instead, he gets turned into ink, and sucked into a scroll piece. Behind him is Sanzeng, holding out his hand and looking shocked.

In summary: Wukong is on the ropes fighting the Brotherhood, and when he's about to be sealed in the scroll, Sanzeng acts in the spur of the moment and uses his mystic magic to seal Azure in the scroll instead.

OK BUT HEAR ME OUT

This is totally plausible! Because if there are two things we can be certain about, it's that:

Wukong and the pilgrims did fight the Brotherhood

The Brotherhood were sealed in the scroll

And this would line up with that!

Especially considering how Tang is able to teleport through the scroll, which Azure himself says that Sanzeng could do. So it's possible Sanzeng could have some power over the scroll, including sealing people in it.

We also see Sanzeng magically helping a ghost pass on in The Great Tang Man, AKA magic shit to do with dead people, AKA guess where the scroll came from?

Yeah that's right, the Underworld, AKA a place full of very dead people. The scroll itself contains wicked souls who died and were imprisoned within it as punishment for their misdeeds too, actually.

Furthermore, Peng doesn't seem to take very kindly to the monk, as shown in the episode The Brotherhood.

Peng: "If it isn't the great monk Tang Sanzeng. You cannot imagine how I've longed for this moment."

Granted, he could just blame Sanzeng for Wukong getting in cahoots with the Celestial Host, or maybe he knows about the circlet because that DID happen. But it would also fit if Sanzeng was the one who sealed the Brotherhood away in the first place.

And as an additional point, we already know Sanzeng has sealed people away before (or after the Brotherhood fiasco, depending on when LBD was sealed away). So the idea of him sealing people away isn't new.

It also doesn't necessarily conflict with his oath of no violence, as TECHNICALLY, he isn't stabbing or punching or beating them up. He's just kinda sucking them into the hell dimension (although I'm pretty sure he wouldn't know about the hell dimension part).

And continuing on the subject of sealing, Sanzeng was also a key part of the ritual to seal the Samadhi Fire, so that's a double whammy for sealing shit away.

But yeah, while I'm not sure about how it specifically happened, I think it's possible that Sanzeng might have sealed the Brotherhood away in a sort of spur-of-the-moment type of way. (So like, he wasn't planning on it, it just kinda happened as a result of the stress of the situation).
