I'M SCREAMING AND CRYING RIGHT NOW THEY ADDED THE MOTIF FROM SLUTTY SPIDER POLKA POP INTO THE FUCKING SEASON 1 FINALE

'Kay so I just finished watching Episode 8, and in it there's one scene where Angel Dust backflips over a fence to save an Eggy Boi from an attacking Exorcist, and as he does so there's a specific melody in the soundtrack- I had to pause it because my brain immediately went "Wait, that sounds familiar- It sounds like GOOSEWORX." And so I went through my brain archives to find out what song it was from, and then I remembered-

Gooseworx made an official theme song for Angel Dust when the pilot first came out.

It was called, as you could guess, 'Slutty Spider Polka Pop', and the specific melody used is the first couple of seconds after it switches from the accordion to the next part, found here.

Anyways after that revelation and subsequent nostalgia blast I kind of just stood there dumbfounded as my entire brain deep-fried itself with dopamine.

OVERALL, JUST WATCHING ADAM ABSOLUTELY SWEEP THE FLOOR WITH AL LEGIT SHOCKED ME SO BAD. LIKE IK THAT ALASTOR OBVIOUSLY HAS WAY LESS POWER THAN CHARLIE, THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS, ETC. BUT I HONESTLY WAS CONFUSED BY HIM NOT TURNING GIANT OR TELEPORTING OR ANYTHING. TBF LILITH PROBS LIMITED HIS POWER, BUT WHY DID IT KINDA DISAPPOINT MEEE 😭😭

Pains me how much this girl is mourning Adam, who, by all accounts was a horrid person (she is aswell ofc). I find Lute interesting because from what we know, shes a crystallization of what kind of people the enviorment of heaven can produce. And seeing her humanized for a moment in her grief was extremely strange

Hazbin Hotel - Finale Thoughts

Let's all agree - Sir Pentious wasn't *bad*, he was just trying to find somewhere he fit in.

Tried doing his own thing - It didn't work. He survived SEVERAL purges on his own moxie, but was still seen as a forgettable laughingstock.

Tried working for the Vees - It didn't work. He's too much of a bumbler to actually pose a significant threat, and was easily found out.

The moment he found support, a group of people who could look past his flaws, he was already set on the road to redemption...give or take a couple speed bumps.

>Constantly helping when asked...or selflessly putting others before himself, in the case of saving Niffty from falling debris without hesitation. >Showing compassion and worry for his Egg Boiz (most of the time) >Showing genuine respect for those above his station >Making the ultimate sacrifice to save the woman he loves (even though he was too much of a coward to admit it until the last moment), and the family he'd found.

If anyone deserved to be redeemed, it's Pentious...and what's more, he's proof of concept that Charlie's whole "Redemption of Sinners" theory ACTUALLY WORKS.

Congrats, you fuckin' goofball. Here's hoping this ain't the last we see of ya.

Nothing could have prepared me for the rage I felt seeing Lilith on that beach

So, long story short I have to figure out a way to redeem Adam because of a roleplay where because Lucifer just wasn’t in it and Alastor was taken I just took Adam because fuck it you know?

Except Oh shit the finale and now because I’ve gotten attached because I’m doing psychological deep dives trying to figure out Adam’s character and how to talk like him but because of the setting now I gotta figure out “crap I gotta redeem him or he’ll die.”

Because with Alastor, he got almost humanised in the finale. We see him panick and we see him have a goal, he has to break the deal and now he’s desperate to because he’s scared and in that fear there is almost a hazy path to a maybe redemption.

But with ADAM I’ve gotta do all that because I’m scared he might fucking die now and just like with the emperor I got attached because I was looking at him too closely and got ride or die.

And just his dying moments I just- fuck see this is why I shouldn’t be allowed to get in relationships.

But I gotta figure out a way to meticulously and carefully break this man before he can even think about getting help. I gotta fuck him up badly and drag his ass kicking and screaming down redemption road.

Spoilers for Hazbin Hotel's Finale!

QUICK THEORY REGARDING THE ENDING!

So, Sir Pentious didn't go to heaven until he died in Hell. That feels very important! Since nobody knows how the rules of this system work, it's likely that this was always a feature of the afterlife, and simply had yet to occur.

And it makes me wonder... if Sir Pentious died and respawned in heaven... could Adam likewise respawn in Hell?

This next thought is a stretch, but considering we still have no clue what happens to souls after they die a second time, is it possible they simply respawn with no memory of their previous afterlife?
