are you aware of just how many baby inkay that team rise (or maybe just that hoopa) have distributed across the world? do you have an exact count? a lot of those were crossbreeds, too. what was that about?
do you have a long-term plan for the inkay, because while some of the inkay have found homes and trainers, the rest are going to be set loose on unprepared regions otherwise.
also, is mr. amar okay? he doesn't seem... cognizant enough to have understood what the team was really doing. (he didn't even know what the eggs were when someone asked.)
-(@goldenrodgal)
More than 200 by our figuring. We're pretty sure the hoopa was involved.
Mr. Amar inherited quite a fortune, even with R.I.S.E. operations being shut down. We're setting him up with a proper trust. Part of the money will be set aside for a child support fund and we are trying to find everyone who was... Inkay bombed.
Professor Mystic says that ze knows a perfect place for Mr. Amar. The vet we had look over him says that he's been on birth control since he became mature so that explains why he didn't know what eggs were. He'd never seen them.
It took several hours of explaining, then several more hours to calm him down once he knew what had happened.

After watching Roize Rasen’s most recent video about what sorts of possible new Megas, regional forms, and normal evolutions for Pokemon we could get in PLZA, I wanna try and do a quick thought exercise on what the possible new Megas could be.
Keep in mind, I’m following a similar set of limits and rules like what Roize did in his video, so there’s gonna be some explaining to do on which Pokemon I think/hope get Megas.
- The Kalos starters; It should be pretty obvious that the original starter trio from X and Y could get something. Especially if neither the Kanto and/or Hoenn starters don’t show up in the game. Aside from Ash-Greninja being removed for quite some time, it still has Battle Bond as a possible ability, even during the early days of SV’s release. Plus, Chesnaught and Delphox both need something to keep up with the ninja frog after the latter took off in popularity
- Xerneas and Yveltal; Similar to the starters, the main two legendaries of X and Y are due to get something for this game. If Dialga and Palkia can finally get something of their own via their Origin forms similar to Giratina, why can the Life and Death duo? This could go in two different directions; they either get proper Megas, or they could do something like Primal Groudon/Kyorge and Origin Form Dialga/Palkia, and have forms that are like Megas, but are their own thing. Either option works
- A few more Kalos Pokemon; Something that I always found odd is that aside from Diancie of all Pokemon, none of the species introduced in Kalos got Megas of their own. While later generations have plenty of their respective ‘Mons join in their respective battle gimmicks, we really never saw a Mega-Evolved Kalos Pokemon. Maybe Z-A could be a good way to fix that. Following the rules that Roize pointed out in his video (things like not include Pokemon that are either in pairs that could have a member get left out if the other got a Mega, have gender or size differences that could make the process hard to code in, have multiple forms already like Furfrou and Vivilion, part of multi-generational groups like Dedenne and Sylveon (the former being a Pika-clone and the latter being an Eeveelution), already got something recently (Hisuian Avalugg and Goodra say hi), and making sure the Megas are given out to Pokemon that aren’t really useful in battle), quite a lot of Kalos’ Dex is gonna be cut out, leaving out a few species to pick from. If the amount of Megas is only gonna be something like 20 to give time and space to the other new additions like regional forms and new evolutions to older Pokemon, along with already existing Pokemon and Megas from the original X and Y games, we have 5 slots to work with, given how I imagine that maybe half of the new Megas would be for Kalos species (along with how the starters and legendaries already make up that first quarter). My personal picks would include Noivern, Heliolisk, Barbaracle, Hawlucha, and Malamar
- Flygon; You all knew that this guy would be here, let’s not kid ourselves. Maybe after more than 10 years, Gamefreak could finally come up with a design for a Mega Flygon that they’re happy with. This entire game could be a good chance for some Pokemon that missed out on getting a Mega back in Gen 6 to finally get that second chance, Flygon especially. Make it the Bug/Dragon combo that people have been wanting for years
- Jynx; Yes, for those who are not in the know, Jynx may seem like a weird choice. However, similar to Flygon, Jynx was originally planned to get a Mega in X and Y, but was cut. Additionally, the whole thing of a strange cry similar to Jynx’s own being found in the data of Pokémon HOME having a similar reverb heard in the cries of every single Mega-Evolved Pokemon adds fuel to the fire
- Milotic; If the possible new Megas fit in with the culture of Kalos in a similar way to how new Pokemon and forms fit in with the cultures of the respective regions they were introduced in, Milotic would be a perfect fit. Along with that, it’s a very popular Pokemon that people have been wanting to see get a Mega for years now, and it would be a good foil to Mega Gyarados, given how both lines are seen as counterparts of each other
- Revavroom: If we’re gonna pick any Pokemon from recent gens to get a Mega, Revavroom would check that box very well, along with getting a much-needed buff. The poor thing needs a better ability to deal with its 4-times weakness to Ground types. Something like Levitate could work, as the dang thing is already floating up in the air for some reason. Plus, we could have a good opportunity to make this weird and delightfully goofy Pokemon even MORE so. Plenty of the existing Megas build off of the original designs to make their own designs extremely wild and creative, so the Rat Fink-looking car monster would be a very perfect candidate
- Parasect; Another weird candidate, the Paras line is one of the few remaining Pokemon from Gen 1 to not get anything. Perhaps that could finally be fixed with a Mega, and there’s a route for its design that I can easily see it going in; have it be a Ghost/Grass type that have the mushroom assimilate the dead bug into its body, resulting in a truly twisted-looking abomination of a Mega.
- Mimikyu; As much as I wanna avoid giving Megas to Pokemon who are already powerful juggernauts, I can definitely see Gamefreak giving one to Mimikyu, due to how insanely popular it is. While I don’t have much input on which the stats or ability could be, I can easily imagine maybe even a tiny glimpse of Mimikyu’s true appearance factoring into the design in some way
- Sandaconda; I’m aware that Sandaconda already has a Gigantamax form, but the Kanto starters and Gengar do as well, and they also have Megas too, so needless to say, the sand snake is fair game. Sandaconda isn’t that bad, but I feel it could use a Mega to make it relevant some more. The best possible route I can see this guy going is probably Ground/Dark with a Titanoboa-like design. Let this guy keep Sand Spit as its ability. A few Megas already have abilities that their original counterpart normally have, so this wouldn’t be anything new
- Vikavolt; As much as I don’t wanna add in personal favorites to this list, Vikavolt actually has a few things that could work in its favor in terms of getting a Mega; Stag beetles can be found in France, it most certainly needs some sort of buff to its Speed, and it could be a good pick for a Pokemon to add in your team early on before giving it its Mega Stone. I’m split on its ability, however; should I let it keep Levitate to not be affected by Ground types? Or should I give it Speed Boot to make it even more faster, with the added caveat of making it a glass cannon? That’s something that the fans who are into stats and Abilites would have to step in for
- Golurk; Going back to what I said earlier about this game being a second chance for certain Pokemon getting a Mega, Golurk is another example. Plus, given that more and more Gen 5 Pokemon have been getting new regional forms and the like in the last few games, I say it’s high time for Golurk to join in. Audino had its fun as the only Gen 5 Mega after all these years. Not only is Golurk one of the most popular Gen 5 ‘mons, it also has a few things that could lend it towards getting a Mega; either letting it keep its original typing or replace Ground with Steel, make it a more heavy hitter with powerful defenses, having Iron Fist as its ability (this guy can learn 7 punching moves, so it works), and having its design include more of the energy inside of its body to leak out, making it a bit more dangerous to be around for long periods of time (side-note; I really hope this game addresses how potentially damaging the transformations are to not only the Pokemon themselves, but also anyone around them, as stated by the Alola Dex entires on them)
- Scovillain; While not the most thought-of pick for a Paldean species to Mega Evolve, Scovillain has a few points in its favor; Creative typing that could translate to a memorable design, a buff to mostly its Special Attack, and something like Solar Power being a perfect fit due to its types benefiting from the sun.
Could I be wrong about most of these predictions? Maybe, but it was still fun to speculate on what new Mega s we could see in PLZA. While I think were still not gonna hear any updates for a while (while I’m cool with, these damn games need more development time), perhaps we could get a sneak peek during a possible Pokemon Presents or something. We’ll have to wait and see

"They're gone... They're really gone" for Piers, Leon and Raihan, please? (Tw for female Reader's death, because that's what I want!)
I got a little carried away with Piers, so I will divide this one into 3 parts so I can put as much effort into Leon and Raihan!
Tumblr media
Regret || Piers x s/o passing away
TW: death, blood
You chuckled as you walked home. You just had an amazing date with your boyfriend, Piers, and you were walking home after spending the afternoon at his house. He had offered to walk you home but you denied, you told him that you would be ok, Spikemuth was always really peaceful anyway. Little did you know what would come for you.
You heard a weird noise, so you looked around to see what it was. You probably thought that Piers had sent a team yell member to look after you while you walked home, so after you took a look at your surroundings and found nothing, you stayed with your little theory and continued to walk home. But weird enough, you heard the sound once again, and it didn’t sound like a sound a normal human would make, Nah-uh, it actually sounded a lot like a pokemon. You shrugged, but this time, you were a little scared. You began walking home, but now at a much slower pace.  Suddenly a malamar jumped in front of you and it had a huge piece of glass stuck in its torso. It sounded like the strange noises were a cry for help. And so, without hesitating, you approached it to tried and help it. You delicately grabbed the piece of glass in your hands and softly tried to pull it out, but apparently, the malamar thought you were trying to hurt it and with one of its sharp tentacles, it penetrated your chest. You fell to the ground as it run away, your vision was getting blurry and your chest hurt like crazy. After a few minutes, you ended up fainting and just staying there, in the middle of the road. A small pool of blood was creating around you.
About half an hour passed, you were still laying on the ground and nobody had found you because it was already late at night. A team yell member was running around because his nickit had run away. When he spotted you, he immediately started freaking out and just screaming for someone to come and help. More team yells members came and they appeared to be better at handling stressful situations because they immediately called an ambulance. They were trying to come up with a way to tell Piers what was happening, but no matter what, they were in need to tell him.
_
The rock star was fast asleep when he heard someone frantically knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell. He was really annoyed and decided to ignore it for a few seconds, but the knocking was getting more and more intense, so he had no other choice but to go open the door and see what was happening. He scratched his eyes as he got off the bed and walked towards the entrance of his house. Piers opened the door and was surprised by a team yell member.
“Blood!- hospital… we had to call an ambulance… you need to go!” The team yell member spouted desperately while trying to explain. Piers sighed, furrowing his eyebrows while scratching the back of his neck.
“Did you have a nightmare?” He asked crossing his arms as things like this had happened before. The guy shook his head and tried to calm down so he could explain to the gym leader what was happening.
“Y/N… I found her on the floor… and she was- she was bleeding! We had to call an ambulance” The team yell member said, more serene now. Piers immediately reacted in an alarming way. His eyes widened and he pushed the team yell member away without any mercy, he didn’t even think about him at all. As Piers ran, he could feel his heart beating faster and faster, he began to sweat and his head was hurting, he was just imagining the most destructive things he could come up with. And what’s worst is that he was not far from the truth.
He finally got to the hospital as it was not really far away from his house. He was panting and demanding the nurse in the lobby to see you. She told him multiple times that he was not direct family and he was not allowed to see you. But he was getting so demanding and so intimidating that she didn’t have any choice but to let him go see you.
When he got to the room where you were staying, he had to start holding back his tears. He couldn’t see you like this, it physically pained him. He sat right next to you, he held your hand close and just stayed there, without saying anything, he liked your smell a lot, it relaxed him, but in this situation, there was nothing that could call him down.
A few minutes later, tears started rolling down his eyes. He kissed your hand and just begged for you to wake up. Nonetheless, it didn’t work.
_
Doctors had put you in an induced coma as that tentacle had penetrated your lung. Piers would come around to the hospital every day. He would go there at 10:00 pm in the morning and leave roughly at 2:00 am every day for about 5 days straight. Without missing.
The doctors and nurses said you were going well and that you would recover soon. Sadly that’s not what happened.
It was a Thursday night, and the clock in the cold hospital room marked 9:00 pm. Piers was sitting next to you as he sang you soft lullabies. Piers took a deep breath, thinking about a lullaby he could sing to you next when he suddenly came up with one.
“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,
You make me happy when skies are grey.
You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine away.
The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping,
I dreamt I held you in my arms.
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken,
So I hung my head, and I cried.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,
You make me happy when skies are grey.
You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine away.
I'll always love you and make you happy,
If you will only say the same.
But if you leave me to love another,
You'll regret it all one day.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,
You make me happy when skies are grey.
You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine away.
Please don't take my sunshine away.”
When piers finished singing, he couldn't help but shed a tear. He looked at you, realizing how pale you looked. Your cheeks used to be rosy red, your eyes would sparkle, and your mouth would be smiling 24/7.
“Please y/n, don’t leave me… You know I can’t make it on my own” He cried while holding your hand close to his chest. His tears would fall onto your arm. He really hoped that you would hear this, wake up and get better, but he knew that this was not a fairy tale and that was not going to happen. It actually happened the opposite.
As he cried, he realized that you were breathing shakily all of a sudden, and the Electrocardiogram was going off and making weird sounds. Piers began just screaming for a nurse to come while pressing the ‘Call the nurse’ button on the little remote next to the bed. It took them a little but they eventually arrived. One doctor had to push Piers away from you because he did not want to get out of the room. He begged to stay but they denied him and closed the door on his face.
“Fuck you” He whispered to himself.
_
A long time had passed and he wasn’t getting any news from you. The nervousness was getting the best of him, he couldn’t help but want to cry. He really wanted all of this to be over, he wanted to go home and cuddle with you and not let go for a year, he wanted to make you breakfast in bed, he wanted to do all these things.
He tried to clear his mind by imagining how he’s gonna pamper you when you get better, all the things you would do together, and all the precautions he was going to take, promising himself he was not going to let you get hurt ever again.
He was getting carried away with his imagination when a doctor got out of the room, his face was full of concern and Piers knew he was not going to get good news, although he just thought he was going to get something like ‘She won’t wake up soon’, ‘She’ll need to stay here longer’, or something like that.
“Sir… y/n has passed away,” the doctor said in a soft voice so he doesn’t sound harsh. But Piers wasn’t focused on that, he was more focused on crying. He couldn’t handle this, he just couldn’t. His little ray of sunshine had left him alone in the dark.
_
It’s been a month since your passing, and Piers would not come out of his room. He acted much more hostile and the only things he did were write songs, play the guitar, eat, sleep and cry. There is one song he wrote that he hates but loves at the same time. It’s so good, but every time he sings it, he just feels like he’s re-opening a wound and putting salt on it. Marnie had advised him to maybe go to the cemetery and sing the song to you. She says that it might feel liberating for him. He refused at first, but after a few days, he decided that he could not bear all this pain in his heart and needed to take it out somehow, and his little sister’s advice sounded like a pretty easy way to do it.
Everyone was surprised to see him out of his room. They thought he was never going to come out. But he was avoiding all fans and rejecting talking to them. He was walking quickly as he wanted to sing this as quickly as possible to let it all out.
It didn’t take him long to arrive at the cemetery and find your stone, as he had memorized it by heart. He sat down in front of your stone, he softly ran his fingers down the carved letters on it.
“I’m not trying to get emotional… I just wanted to sing you this song I wrote for you, doll” He pretended like he was talking to you. He took a little piece of paper out of his pocket, the whole song was written on it. He looked at the paper, took a deep breath, and began singing.
“The evil it spread like a fever ahead
It was night when you died, my firefly
What could I have said to raise you from the dead?
Oh could I be the sky on the Fourth of July?
Well you do enough talk
My little hawk, why do you cry?
Tell me what did you learn from the Tillamook burn?
Or the Fourth of July?
We're all gonna die
Sitting at the bed with the halo at your head
Was it all a disguise, like Junior High
Where everything was fiction, future, and prediction
Now, where am I?
My fading supply
Did you get enough love, my little dove
Why do you cry?
And I'm sorry I left, but it was for the best
Though it never felt right
My little Versailles
The hospital asked should the body be cast
Before I say goodbye, my star in the sky
Such a funny thought to wrap you up in cloth
Do you find it all right, my dragonfly?
Shall we look at the moon, my little loon
Why do you cry?
Make the most of your life, while it is rife
While it is light
Well you do enough talk
My little hawk, why do you cry?
Tell me what did you learn from the Tillamook burn?
Or the Fourth of July?
We're all gonna die
We're all gonna die
We're all gonna die
We're all gonna die
We're all gonna die
We're all gonna die
We're all gonna die
We're all gonna die”. Tears rolling down his cheeks, he laughed at himself.
“I’m sorry, I told you I was not going to get emotional, it’s just… wow… I can’t believe you’re gone… you’re really gone”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: both of the songs in the one-shot are not mine, one is an old lullaby and the second one is 'Fourth of july' by Sufjan Stevens.

THAT’S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!
Ok so this is gonna be a long list, since my head is only empty when it’s of greatest inconvenience.
Also please read the tags for potential triggers! Lmk if I missed any and I’ll add them right away.
Without further ado, here’s my interpretation of a Sanders Sides Pokemon AU!
* Ok so first of all, the sides are all gym leaders.
* I picture this in the Galar region, but probably with different towns and the like because I don’t remember any of them.
* Basically, just assume that all of the towns are made up, but that Dynamax still is a thing.
* Let’s start with Patton because his story is the least sad.
* His family runs a Fairy Type gym/pokemon nursery.
* Patton is the eldest in a large family, so he eventually became the new gym leader following in his father’s footsteps.
* He has two dads, one who was the gym leader and the other who is a pokemon breeder. They’re both pokemon breeders now and work in a Pokemon Center.
* They are definitely responsible for Patton’s sense of humor.
* Patton and all of his siblings are adopted, but they’re so close that they might as well be related by blood.
* Patton loves taking care of pokemon and would be a pokemon breeder full-time if he could
* But he also loves his family so he continues to run the gym to raise enough money to keep them comfortable and happy
* The Pokemon team I have come up for him is:
* - Togekiss
* - Boltund
* - Greninja (cuz frog)
* - Altaria
* - Frosmoth
* - Hatterine
* (If anyone has any better ideas for pokemon for any of the sides, feel free to throw your suggestions in the notes!)
* Moving on to Logan...
* Like Patton, he also inherited his gym, a Psychic Type gym, from his parents
* However, his family life isn’t nearly as happy...
* Ever since he was old enough to throw a pokeball, his parents have trained him rigorously to become the next gym leader
* They handpicked all of the pokemon in his team
* Except for a Lucario, which Logan caught as a Riolu when he was very young. His parents only let him keep it because of its battle prowess
* So Logan’s team is:
* - Lucario
* - Gardevoir
* - Alakazam
* - Raichu (alolan)
* - Malamar
* - Onix
* (Also this should be obvious by now but not all the pokes will match the gym’s type cuz that’s boring)
* Logan took over the gym when he was 15 and has been running it basically on his own ever since
* His parents still get the final say in all major decisions, even though they don’t really do anything
* Logan resents them, but doesn’t have the courage to stand up for himself
* ENTER PATTON
* Logan is at first pretty skeptical regarding Patton, since he doesn’t seem to take his job seriously
* After challenging Patton to a battle, however, that stance changes remarkably fast after facing a narrow defeat at the hands of Patton’s pokemon
* Even so, he tells himself that he doesn’t have time to become more than colleagues. He must be cordial with Patton so they can coordinate as gym leaders, but that’s it
* Meanwhile, Patton takes one look at this emotionally-repressed man and thinks to himself
* “Oh, this is the guy I’m gonna marry.”
* He then takes literally every opportunity to flirt with Logan
* And he is not subtle AT ALL
* Like he literally goes up to Logan one day and is like
* “I know you’re not ready for it right now, but one day I’m gonna marry you and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
* And Logan is VERY confused and VERY flustered because feelings? What is happening to my heart!? Am I getting sick!?
* (And his parents would absolutely disapprove because they are huge homophobes and want Logan to have an heir to pass on the gym to)
* But eventually Patton manages to break Logan’s walls down and they become close friends
* (And eventually more)
* Now, the twins!
* Their situation is pretty similar to Logan’s, at least to a certain point
* Their parents own a Fire Type gym, and were so excited to have a child who would eventually take over the gym
* Two things happened that they did not anticipate
1) They ended up having twins
2) The mother died during childbirth
* Driven by grief, stubbornness, and resentment, the father had the idea that, in order to make the twins as strong as possible, he would put them against each other at every opportunity
* They would constantly be competing to become better than the other, creating an extremely toxic rivalry
* It didn’t work... at least, not at first.
* When they were very young, Roman and Remus were inseparable.
* Even when their father tried to put them against each other, they would rebel against him and not listen
* (Remus had no issue with this, but Roman quietly longed for his father’s approval, even though he knew it was wrong)
* They had a dream that they would run the gym together, and they would talk long into the night about the gym they would create and the pokemon they would train
* That was, until their father started to take a different approach
* He noticed that, despite the two boys receiving the same education and training, Roman had a better affinity for battle (at least when it came to fire types)
* So he started giving Roman more praise and attention
* Roman was thrilled to finally make his father proud
* Remus, on the other hand, was tossed to the side
* Roman was reluctant to give up his father’s attention now that he had received it
* (Looking back, Roman wishes more than anything that he had given it up)
* The twins were driven apart, Roman being trained to take over the gym, and Remus being completely ignored
* One day, Remus ran away, disappearing in the middle of the night.
* Roman was devastated
* He wanted nothing more than to search for Remus, but he knew that if his brother didn’t want to be found, he could vanish off the face of the earth
* Years pass, and Roman takes over the gym
* His father passes away from illness when he was 16
* He can’t find it in himself to grieve
* Roman continues running the gym, hating how quiet the halls are and missing his brother terribly
* One day, he receives news of a new Poison Type gym being established, one heavily criticized for its unorthodox (and, some complain, absolutely disgusting) gym structure and puzzles
* For the first time in years, Roman smiles
* Their relationship is not nearly as close as it was when they were children, and they still have a lot of that competitiveness that was hammered into them, but they’re trying
* And of course, their pokemon teams!
* Roman’s team is:
* - Charizard
* - Wigglytuff
* - Aegislash
* - Milotic
* - Gallade
* - Butterfree
(Maybe he should have more fire types but I like all of these Pokémon for him and they don’t really have a common type among them and ahhhhhhhh...)
* While Remus’s team is:
* - Garbodor
* - Muk
* - Tentacruel
* - Gengar
* - Mawile
* - Venomoth
* While catching up on everything that happened while they were separated, Roman asks Remus how he managed to establish his own gym so quickly
* Remus smirks, saying that he had a little help from a certain dragon...
* WHICH IS JANUS! HE HAS A DRAGON TYPE GYM!
* And this is where we get into that sweet sweet angst
* Janus was born in a small village surrounded by mountains
* A few months before his birth, a disease spread throughout the village
* This disease would coat the skin in angry red boils and drive the infected delirious with sickness
* One day, Janus’ parents found him shivering with a fever, the left side of his face covered in boils
* Fearing for their lives should they catch the disease, they brought the child into the mountains and abandoned him in an old, dark cave
* He wailed in pain and terror until his throat was so hoarse he couldn’t cry anymore
* Dialga, the legendary dragon-type pokemon with power over time, heard his cries and took pity on the child
* Dialga reversed the effects of the illness, curing the child but leaving shimmering scales where the boils used to be
* Dialga then tasked the dragon type pokemon in the cave to look after the child, not trusting humans to ensure Janus’ well being
* A family of Dreepies, Drakloaks, and Dragapults takes a particular liking to Janus, raising him as one of their own
* Eventually, when Janus is a bit older, he goes to visit the town he was born in (supervised by his dragon family, of course)
* Only to find that the village was gone, abandoned by the few survivors of the horrible plague that spread throughout
* Janus felt no remorse
* He knew that he could only rely on himself, and that if he wanted to survive in this world, he needed to be aggressive
* The following week, he said goodbye to his family, only taking with him his best friend, one of the Dreepies in his family that was now a powerful Dragapault
* It wasn’t easy, as he had to learn the language and social etiquette of the people around him (being raised by pokemon would do that to you)
* He even had to resort to stealing in order to survive, which kept him on the run
* Until one day, he met Remus, another kid on the run
* Together, they were an absolute menace. To this day, the two of them have never lost a double battle
* Eventually, they both opened their own gyms, Remus a poison type and Janus a dragon type
* When not busy with the typical duties required of gym leaders, they’re basically inseparable
* Remus is the one person Janus trusts whole-heartedly
* I headcanon them as either really close friends or queer-platonic partners, but I’ll leave it up to you to decide their relationship!
* By the way, Janus’ team consists of:
* - Dragapult
* - Mimikyu
* - Zoroark
* - Arbok
* - Salazzle
* - Kimmo-oh
* So that leaves one side left...
* Ima be honest, I based Virgil heavily on Piers, but bear with me ok?
* Virgil grew up in a very poor town with his mother, as his dad abandoned them when he was very young
* And when I say poor, I mean that there wasn’t even a Pokemon Center
* Even so, he didn’t wish for anything. He didn’t care about traveling or becoming a great pokemon trainer. He just wanted to be with his mom
* (His anxiety made it hard to leave the house, anyway, so he was in no rush to go on some grand adventure)
* His mom had a dream to open a pokemon gym that both 1) incorporated music and 2) was more down to earth than the grand stadiums that were now the norm for gyms
* When she was pregnant with Virgil, she was more than happy to give up that dream for her family
* However, when her husband, their main source of income, abandoned them, her dream became more of a necessity
* The entire town was on her side, knowing that a gym could bring money to their town
* Their “gym” was nothing more than a small, outdoor stadium, but his mother loved it
* The few curious pokemon trainers who decided to challenge the unofficial gym absolutely loved her, and slowly she started to gain a bit of notoriety
* Virgil was terrified. He was afraid that his mom would get hurt by the powerful pokemon that constantly challenged her
* (And he missed her terribly. She still made time for him, but it wasn’t as much as before she took on the role of unofficial gym leader)
* And so, his mom brought him his very first pokemon: an Eevee that always seemed to know exactly how to calm him down
* He loved his Eevee, and he felt a little bit less alone whenever his mom had to leave for work. He was ok.
* Unfortunately, fate had cruel plans for the young boy
* His town was cast into shadow as a maddened Dynamaxed pokemon appeared a few miles away
* His mom, the strongest trainer in town, left to take it down, despite how much Virgil begged her to not go, or to take him with her
* (She had to go. The second-closest city to the dynamaxed pokemon was still very far away. Help wouldn’t come for a while. She was all her small town had.)
* (...She didn’t return)
* The entire town was in mourning, holding a huge ceremony to honor her memory.
* Virgil was inconsolable, barely speaking and refusing to leave his room for almost an entire year
* If it wasn’t for the people in the town, who cared for him as deeply as they did his mother, he probably wouldn’t have eaten.
* The unofficial gym, without a gym leader, was abandoned, and its small glimpse of fame was lost, plunging the town back into a seemingly inescapable pit of poverty and obscurity
* Until one day, a group of thugs came and terrorized the town, letting loose their pokemon and stealing everything they could get their hands on
* Virgil was terrified, but he couldn’t just stand there while people got hurt. With only his Eevee and his only experience being watching his mom in her matches, he challenged the thugs
* He didn’t stand a chance. His poor Eevee was at its knees within moments
* Virgil was distraught, hating his weakness and how he couldn’t protect the town that had become his family. He tried to fight the thugs himself, only to be knocked back by one of their Pokémon’s attacks.
* He got back up and charged again, tears in his eyes and bile rising from how scared he was
* His Eevee, terrified for its master and inspired by his bravery, began to glow...
* ...and in its place stood an Umbreon, body pulsing with newfound power
* This scene rallied the other people in the town, who banded together to drive the thugs away, Virgil and his Umbreon leading the charge
* From then on, Virgil vowed that he would become a strong Dark Type gym leader and create the gym his mother never got the chance to
* He trained hard, swallowing his fear to capture and train more pokemon for his team
* Which consists of...
* - Umbreon
* - Houndoom
* - Galvantula
* - Gothitelle
* - Corviknight
* - Noivern
* The townspeople, much like Team Yell in Pokemon Sw/Sh, would often go to other cities singing Virgil’s praise and unwittingly causing all sorts of problems
* Virgil has no idea that any of this is happening
* Eventually, word gets out again regarding this unofficial Pokemon gym, attracting the attention of the other gym leaders
* Roman is sent to investigate
* He doesn’t expect much, given the general appearance of the town (it doesn’t even have a pokemon center, after all)
* He’s even more put off when he recognizes the outfits of the trainers in the “gym” as the strange people who have been causing trouble all over Galar
* Even so, he has a job to do, so he dons a disguise and plows through all of the trainers, eager to finish the gym so he can go back home
* His desire to leave vanishes faster than a Pikachu with Agility the moment he lays eyes on Virgil
* Just like his mother wanted, Virgil’s battles take place during a rock concert, so Virgil waiting on a makeshift stage with a guitar in hand
* (Virgil feels like he’s going to explode with nerves, just like he does every time a trainer challenges his gym, but the memory of his mother gives him courage)
* As his Umbreon leaps into battle, he begins to sing
* And holy shit Roman is in love
* The small area is filled with spectators cheering and singing along to the song, and despite it being a far cry from any grand stadium Roman has ever battled in, it has more spirit than anything Roman has ever experienced
* It’s the most fun he’s had battling in years
* Virgil is a tough opponent, a testament to his years of pushing himself, but in the end Roman has more experience
* Virgil is devastated at the loss, knowing it would be a blow against the gym’s reputation, but manages to put on a smile and offers Roman a pin: their unofficial gym badge
* Roman smiles, removing his disguise to pin the badge to his clothes and Virgil is like “holy shit that’s Roman the famous fire-type gym leader oh no he’s really hot oh no what have I done I GAVE HIM A HANDMADE PIECE OF SCRAP METAL OH NO”
* And Roman, ignorant to Virgil’s crisis, is like “cmon, we gotta get the paperwork done to establish this place as an official gym!”
* When later asked, Virgil would firmly deny it, but at that moment he had literally burst into tears
* Roman still wears the badge Virgil presented to him to this day, even though Virgil has repeatedly offered him one of the higher-quality badges they now give out as an official gym
* Virgil’s gym is the only one that doesn’t have Dynamax, since he still has some trauma from his mother’s death
* Prinxiety eventually happens because I say so
* And all of the gym leaders are friends also because I say so
I might add more to this AU if people are interested! And feel free to add your own ideas! I’d love to hear what you think!
Sorry for rambling, but if you managed to get this far, thanks for reading! :D

The S/O/Friend Of Piers, Milo and Allister react to their sensitive Friend/S/O crying over a cracked and broken egg, certainly an egg not able to be fixed. They had unfortunately gotten a little on themselves, and they're just shaking, crying and staring at the egg and substance on their hands. They get quite a few eggs for themself, but they've never broken one before. It was an accident. Their pokemon aren't able to comfort them. The hatched pokemon was supposed to be a gift for the other [BW]
Milo
Eggs were something Milo knew extremely well. Some of them were horribly fragile. Wooloo eggs for the first two months, for example. They were so fragile that even moving them too much risked breaking them, so his family had a group of Mama Wooloo that would care and tend to the eggs. He knew you were doing a little breeding, so he stopped by your house to offer some help. Maybe some extra blankets to help create a nest or even one of the Mama Wooloo. Duchess, his little brother had named her. The pokemon walked leisurely by his side, chewing a bit of grass that she’d plucked from beside your mailbox. Milo knocked on the door, listening carefully for your voice.
What he heard instead was a crash. Duchess’s ears perked up and she used Tackle on the door. Milo called, asking if you were okay. He heard a thud, and Wooloo used Tackle once again. The door swung open. He started apologizing, chasing her inside as she rolled towards the source of the sounds. She luckily didn’t knock anything else over, but she stopped when she got close enough to you. Her steps became careful and wary, walking around you to your other side. She stepped in something. Milo knelt down behind you. He reached a hand towards you, speaking softly as he rested it on your shoulder.
It was an egg. A Wooloo egg, by the patterns and how Duchess reacted. His lower lip twitched towards a frown, quivering for a breath before you turned to face him, pressing yourself into his chest for support. He noticed a bit of the goop had gotten on you. Eldegoss was freed from his Pokeball and instructed to help Duchess clean up. The fighting farmer let you cry, speaking softly and reassuringly as a hand gently massaged your back in slow, methodical circles. He offered to help you clean up, and wash the stuff off your clothes. He helped you stand, following your guidance to your bedroom.
You two spoke through the bathroom door, you washing your body while he carefully picked off the eggshell from your shirt. You explained that it was a gift for him, that you’d been breeding for months and had just gotten that egg that you were certain was shiny. He sighed softly, setting your shirt aside to start on your pants.
“Wooloo eggs are horribly fragile,” He said, “How about I let you borrow Duchess until you’ve got yourself that shiny? She’d be happy to help you take care of the eggs. And my cousin’ll take all the other Wooloo off your hands. You’ve met him, the guy with the melanistic Meowstic.”
He felt horrible that there was so little he could offer. He’d grown up on a farm where losing eggs was normal. He’d had to learn quickly not to get attached to eggs or baby pokemon. It still hurt, it would always still hurt. But he could at least try to help you. Even if his help wasn’t so great.
Allister, Piers, and Melony under the cut!
Allister
Stow-On-Side was never a great place for eggs. They were so fragile and it was so rocky. It’s why a lot of people would go on short trips when they had eggs. Or have their pokemon carry the eggs. Ghost-type pokemon usually had pretty malleable eggs, so they tended to be safe in the town. Allister was used to things being okay. But today, they weren’t. He was walking with his father and Gengar from school, mask dangling from his backpack. They were talking about what he learned that day, about the history of the region. Then he noticed you. He was about to call your name, but his father shoved him behind him.
And Gengar vanished from his side, moving to yours. His father told him to go home. He did, but his father didn’t follow him. He noticed how he’d gone to your side. Just like Gengar had… Once home, he thought about it. He didn’t see much of you, but he did see that you were on the ground. There was something around you and a cloud of faint blue smoke. He really didn’t really see much else. His mother had him change from his uniform and gave him his after-school snack while he settled at the table for his homework.
His father and Gengar appeared at the door, with you in tow. Gengar was frowning, he looked concerned. He was holding pieces of something. His father ushered you into the shower, while Gengar jumped onto the stool by the sink to drop the things into the garbage disposal. His parents started speaking softly to each other. His mother disappeared after their conversation, to their bedroom, while his father sat at the table. He told him to put the pencil down.
“Are they okay?” he asked, glancing towards the hallway. They are, his father said, but they’re shaken up. They were working on a gift for him, and they dropped it. It broke.
The pieces clicked in his head. It was an egg. The blue smoke was the essence of a Gastly. A shiny Gastly. His brows furrowed, staring down at his paper. He was almost finished… He couldn’t see it past the tears that formed. He was a child. He wasn’t used to the prospect of losing a pokemon like that. His father pulled him into a hug, letting him cry against his clothes. Gengar made a soft noise, offering him a tissue. And his own hug.
You were in a set of his mother’s clothes, sitting on another seat at the table. You were offered a meal, while Allister stared sadly at you. He wanted to speak, but didn’t know what to say. You noticed his eyes boring into you, and to you, they felt judging. They weren’t.
He finally spoke after a long silence, while his mother set the plate of food before you.
“There’s a chance the Gastly is okay. Gengar says that they can survive being forced out of their egg early.”
Piers
Spikemuth was a rowdy place. Team Yell was a rowdy group. They weren’t careful, things would get broken and need replacing all the time. Piers was used to it. Piers was used to putting most of the money he got as a gym leader into repairing things like street lamps and fences. Yet no matter how used to it he was, some things were a completely different matter.
Eggs, for example. An odd example, but it’s what’s locked in his mind. After seeing you, knelt down over the shattered Zigzagoon egg. There was a tuft of red fur, too… The poor little thing was going to be shiny. Obstagoon had run to your side before he could make it off the stairs that led to the door of his flat. The pokemon tried to pick up the pieces, making soft noises to you in an attempt to calm you down. You were still crying, still covered in the mess. Obstagoon looked sadly towards Piers, begging eyes as he got even closer. His trousers would need a deep wash, but that was fine. Comforting you was more important.
“Hey… Hey, look at me. It’s alright, it’s just a-... Just an egg.” But it wasn’t just an egg. He knew that, even just looking down at the tufts of fur that were glued to the pieces of shell. He noticed something else, quickly averting your eyes and ordering Obstagoon to grab Malamar’s ball and have him help clean up. If there was fur, and that, it was developing. Quite far along, too. He took a shaking breath as he pulled you to your feet.
“Come on, let’s get you cleaned up. Malamar and Obstagoon will take care of the mess out here. Don’t look at it, it’s okay.” He pulled you into his flat, up the small stairs outside and down the tight hallway that led to the laundry room. “Shower’s upstairs, door right after Marnie’s room.” He said as he handed you a robe. “Take… Take these off, I’ll wash ‘em.” He let you change, turning away and keeping his eyes towards the floor. His brow knit together tightly. You weren’t usually after shiny pokemon… Let alone a Zigzagoon.
You finished washing yourself before he finished getting the shell off your clothes. Obstagoon and Malamar came in once you got down to the bottom of the stairs, covered by the robe Piers had offered you. The pokemon were somber, careful as they walked with you back to the laundry room. Piers sat on the windowsill, picking the pieces off and dropping them into a bin beside him. There wasn’t much to see through the window, but it was still a nice place to sit while doing something like this.
You came over and sat opposite him, leaned against the other side. He moved his leg to give you space. You two were silent for a while, Piers staring out the window while his hands picked off the pieces, you staring at his hands. Then he spoke, turning his attention towards you.
“Little guy was supposed to be a gift, huh?” You nodded. “For me, ‘m guessing.” You nodded again. He sighed, pulling himself up and dropping your clothes in the washing machine. “Hate to be the guy to say this but… Y’know, these things happen. Spikemuth’s not the place for eggs. Gotta get used to that here… How about you take ‘Goon. He’ll help you protect the next one, yeah?”
Melony
Snom eggs are surprisingly resilient. Maybe its because the mother Frosmoths always freeze the egg before letting their trainer take it. Or maybe they were just naturally strong. Snom were everywhere in Circhester. They were common, they were everywhere. Eggs were usually stashed in dens, left safe by their mothers. Melony hummed softly, her Frosmoth just above her head as she walked to Bob’s Your Uncle to pick up dinner for her kids. It was late and she was honestly too sleepy to cook. She saw you after stepping out, Frosmoth holding one of the bags. Her heart lurched when she noticed you were crying.
The gym leader moved quickly to your side, pulling off her coat to drape it over your shoulders. It was freezing, but you needed the comfort of extra warmth. She took a glance as to why you were crying but didn’t regard it. Frosmoth pulled Darmanitan’s ball from her belt, floating over the mess and seeming to instruct the other pokemon by herself. Melony offered her two pokemon a warm smile, keeping you close to her as she walked you to her house.
The kids were excited but quieted down when they saw the somber expression their mother wore. Gordie ran into the bathroom to turn on the shower and get the water heating up, while her daughter moved to grab a set of their mother’s clothes for you to wear while yours were getting washed. Melony sat you on a barstool by the island counter, taking your hands and wiping off as much as she could. Frosmoth set the food on the half wall and rested beside you and your now clean hand. She nuzzled you, pushing her head under your hand in a “pet me” motion.
She was there to soothe you, while Melony cleaned up your hands so you could shower the rest off easily. She sent the triplets to finish the laundry so it was clear for your clothes. Gordie stepped out of the bathroom, announcing that the water was warm. She offered the smile to you, pressing a kiss to your forehead and helping you get inside. You asked her to stay. She told Gordie to ration out dinner and sat on the toilet. She listened as you spoke, talking about how long you’d bred and that you were excited to finally have a shiny egg. She wasn’t sure how you could tell, but let you keep speaking.
It was supposed to be a gift for her. She glanced towards the door, then sighed softly.
“Listen, it’s okay. You’re not hurt, right? That’s what matters, we can breed another egg. I’m sure Frosmoth will be happy to help take care of it. She’ll help you- And I’m sure,” she raised her voice so her children could hear through the door, “Gordie will let you borrow Coalossal to help.”
“Yeah, will do! What am I lending him for?” She heard you snort at his response. Perfect, exactly what she wanted.
“I’ll tell you later, sweetie.”

A ‘Gastly’ Leader (Reaper76 Pokémon AU)
ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN LINK
Warnings: None Apply, Mild Cursing.
Summary:   After the explosion, caused by Team Talon, Jack didn't know whether or not he was ever going to see his best friend ever again. They had both survived, but Gabriel was a broken man, his partner Pokémon dead and heavily scarred. The two finally make recompense and talk before they meet each other's new teams.
--
For someone that used to be so deep in battle culture, Gabriel sure knew how to avoid contact from everyone and anyone. Jack hadn’t seen his fellow Gym Leader since the accident, the Weezing that had exploded within the arena sending them both flying, injured and almost dead. It was an act of terrorism, and Talon were to blame for it. Both him and Gabriel were powerful and respected trainers. Removing them would have allowed for the organisation to encroach further into the hierarchy. Thankfully, both had lived, though only with the quick thinking of his Metagross. Protect had absorbed most of the damage and a barrier had meant they were only slammed through the walls and into rubble. Gabriel had mourned the loss of his Malamar, the killed in the explosion and rubble protecting Gabriel with a quick casted barrier, but unable to protect itself, and he’d not been seen since.
Gabriel had wandered the world for a long time, looking for a team of Pokémon that would be able to join him. A Duskull was all he had at first, before he found the rest of his ghostly team, each a misunderstood Pokémon from around the globe. Mimikyu was his most recent addition, or so Dr Ziegler had told him. He often returned to her for mild treatments regarding his scars from the blast, just as Jack did.
It was why he had finally given in and left his own Gym to go to visit Gabriel. Jack patted his Metagross, the large, four-legged Pokémon chuntering softly as it followed him through the ornate doors. He could feel the upset from Steelix and Bastiodon on his belt. They wanted to help him through the pitch-black gym to the ghost type leader. Skarmory and Scizor were quiet. He hoped they wouldn’t all begin to bicker in front of his long-time friend. The inside of the huge Gym was completely dark, and Jack squinted into the darkness before patting Metagross softly. The steel type Pokémon shuddered before light erupted from it’s eyes, the Psychic type abilities allowing for the both of them to see in the darkness.  He jumped when a ghost type screeched from the floor in front of him, and he raised his foot from it’s tail and black sheet.
“Mimikyu?” Jack tilted his head, squatting in front of the sniffling Pokémon. It was dressed in a strange costume, not the usual Pikachu outfits he saw in all the images. The black sheet was lovingly made, the head on it a ghostly skull with a hood, “Uhhh…Do you know where Gabriel is?” He asked, fixing the skull back on top of the Pokémon’s disguise. “Mimi!” It tittered before whipping around and screeching, the skull burning with red energy as a shadowed claw came out to swipe at him, teeth snapping near his face before the Mimikyu escaped into the black further along the gym path, laughing as it went, claws scrabbling along the wood as it rushed away. “Hey!...Stupid ghost types.” Jack muttered, looking at the rickety, solid wood bridges. Each was lit with a torch and he scowled before gently climbing on top of Metagross, the steel type whirring into life before beginning to plod over the bridges, the light in its eyes lighting the way before the both of them.
He met a few trainers on the way into the gym, but a quick flash of his gym leader ID meant he was granted passage, the trainers bowing out of the way, their ghost types floating freakily above, chattering and laughing at Jack as his Metagross stomped ferociously and plodded across the next bridge. They soon reached a large platform, Metagross lowering itself so Jack could stand on the sand. He blinked rapidly with a grunt as a light floated in the middle of the platform, taunting him closer. Jack approached cautiously, looking at the floor to avoid standing on any more Mimikyu’s. When he reached the light, it split into three balls and danced away before hovering over three gold encrusted coffins. Why in the world there was such theatrics, he didn’t know.
“Really…a fucking coffin selection?” Jack chuntered, feeling Metagross nudge his leg, the huge steel type clanking solidly behind him. With a sigh, he worked from left to right. He pulled the first one open and flinched as a face screeched at him, the evil looking Gastly screaming away with its tongue wagging. The middle one was simply empty and he sighed in relief. The final coffin rattled violently and Jack steeled himself before he opened it. A smog erupted from it before red eyes appeared in the lid, followed by a white, sharp toothed grin.
“COFAGRIGUS!” The Pokémon screeched as its arms snapped out to hold Jack in place in front of it. Metagross roared and stomped closer, intending to blast the thing with a sharp flash cannon before a face appeared in front of Jack. “Jack?” Gabriel’s face peered out of the coffin, confused, eyes red behind a theatrical skull mask, before he jumped out, patting the side of his companion Pokémon. The coffin Pokémon whined before it released it’s prey to its master, lid sliding back into place and arms wagging towards Metagross as it floated a little bit away from the two of them. “Gabriel?” He tilted his head, eyebrows raised in confusion, “Uhhh…What’s with the get up?” He pointed a finger at the leather trousers and coat, then at the skull mask over the man’s face, “Are those shot guns?”
Gabriel sighed long and hard through his mask before he shifted, one foot to the other, and grumbled, reaching his hands into his hood to undo his mask. The skull piece unclipped, and Jack smiled softly at the scarred face of his friend. “I know it’s been a long time, Gabriel. I just wanted…” He felt himself lose what he wanted to say, sitting back, Metagross pressing underneath him and sliding him onto his back gently. The steel type stomped one large metallic leg when Gabriel moved and the ghost leader snapped his teeth before he rolled his eyes. His own team would do exactly the same for him. The man sighed and pulled his hood back, revealing his scarred face completely. He heard Cofagrigus float a little closer and tried to muster a smile.
“I know. I’ve not even been back here more than six months. It feels weird being settled after travelling for so long. I’ve not spoken to people properly in a long time. Just my team.” Gabriel confessed, moving to sit on Metagross as well. The Pokémon settled without protest and eyed Cofagrigus as it’s smirk floated over it, hands coming to rub at the shiny surface of the steel type’s body. Metagross didn’t seem to like the fondling and stomped, rocking the two men sat on it’s back. Jack patted Metagross fondly before he smiled, “Its been a long time for us both. I started setting up foundries since you’ve been gone. Factories and manufacturing places. They all utilize natural steel type Pokémon. A Magneton runs one near here.” He was babbling, but Gabriel was smiling at him for it, nodding and listening to him prattle on about random steel types he had seen.
Jack was interrupted by a high pitched wail, and a rush of black rushing over the top of his Metagross, large claweds, shadow hands, pushing a Pokémon up and to sit in Gabriel’s lap. “MIMIKYU!” It screeched, and Gabriel’s dark eyes widened as he leaned down to the listen beneath the ghost type’s disguise. “Oh really? He did that?” He looked up at Jack with a smirk and the steel type leader swallowed softly before he looked down at the Mimikyu and glared. “Mimikyu scared me in the dark and I accidentally stood on her tail.” He confessed as Gabriel began to laugh, his fingers under the costume stroking his ghostly familiar softly. “She knows, don’t worry. She’s just complaining because you spoiled her surprise…and she’s upset you disliked her costume. I think it fits you nicely, you look great in the same thing as me.” Gabriel fixed the hood of his Mimikyu’s costume with a tut before he ran his hand over his circle beard and scratched the place above Metagross’ eyes. The steel type grunted but enjoyed the touch.
“I didn’t know you had a thing for ghost types, Gabe.” Jack confessed, “Will you show me your team?” He asked before hopping off of Metagross, “They all haven’t seen you in so long, and I can feel Bastiodon crying out to get a good petting.” He laughed and Gabriel smiled, wide and broad, before he nodded and stood from Metagross. “Sure thing. Come on. Out back I have my own place. You’ll have to watch for the Pumpkaboo…and Trevenant. He get’s ansty when people go near the Pumpkaboo patch.” Gabriel offered Jack an arm theatrically before they linked them, returned their Pokémon and moved out the back of the Gym. Gabriel made sure to leave a note of his absence in case of challengers before they left.
Gabriel’s house was imposing, all dark brick and stark white railings. Pumpkaboo floated joyously as they saw their master return up the garden path, flocking to the leather dressed man and tittering with excitement. Jack jumped as a tree groaned and a hand scooped the flock away from Gabriel’s feet. Trevenant’s red eye gleamed within it’s trunk before it groaned again and took the pumpkin creatures away. Gabriel waved as they went and wandered around the side of the house. A giant field and meadow were surrounded by a spooky looking forest, and Jack laughed at the surroundings before he clicked the balls on his belt and let his enormous Pokémon free.
“STEELIX!” “Meta…” “BASTIODON!” “Skarm-oh-reee!” “Scizor…”
Gabriel wobbled as Bastiodon launched herself towards him, her shield faceplate low as she thundered towards him, eyes joyful as she reared last second and kicked, pounding the floor as she danced around the man. “Hey there baby.” Gabriel cooed, reaching out a hand to gently pet the top of her ramming face plate. Steelix laid herself on the floor, eyes pointed at the man she once knew before she turned her face to the side and scooped Bastiodon out of the way. The two began arguing as Scizor and Skarmory greeted the man, Metagross thumping away into the shade. “I promise…They don’t usually fight like this.” Jack sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as Scizor and Skarmory moved to break up the bickering giants. “They’re still the cutest little things, no matter how big and tough they are.” Gabriel teased before he reached to his chest, flicking the Pokeballs out from there, then a couple from his belt.
“MIMIKYU!” “COFAGRIGUSSSSS!” “Dusknoir…” “Aegislash!” “SPIRITOMB!”
“And you’ve met Trevenant, but he tends to enjoy staying here rather than battling.” Gabriel gently reached out to let Mimikyu climb up his arm, Dusknoir stood behind him, belly open, ready to defend Gabriel, “Dusknoir…He saved my life. He was just a Duskull back then but we’ve never been apart since.” The ghost type tamer reached over to pat Dusknoir’s tummy gently with a smile, the Pokémon nodding subtly before he reached to take Mimikyu to see the others. Gabriel pointed at Cofagrigus, the coffin creature having hold of the little Mimikyu now instead. It was a warning to play nice.
“Your Aegislash is amazing! Look at the sword!” Jack’s blue eyes were wide as he watched the sword Pokémon.
Gabriel chuckled softly before he turned Jack’s head back towards him, “I appreciate it but eyes back on me metalhead.” He teased before he took the man’s head, “Thank you for coming to see me, Jack…It means a hell of a lot.” He confessed, his hood shadowing his face again.
“Thanks for letting me stay.” Jack shot back before he wrapped his arms around his best friend, “I’ve missed you Gabriel…More than I ever thought I would miss anyone.”
“I missed you too, Jack…I missed you too.” He sighed into Jack’s shoulder, “How about we catch up?” Gabriel grinned with white teeth before he clapped Jack roughly on the back.
“Pokémon battle?”
“Oh hell yes!”
