#I've been occassionally watching/listening to episodes of TOS while I draw #and let me tell you - Kirk is FAR less joyful than you all would have had me believe #everyone on that shows talks like they're trying not to wake someone in the next room [not a positive or negative thing]#I do like the slightly surreal-feeling setting of the ship and I do wish adaptations of that time period worked to make it look #more like 60's poor budget technicolor surrealism retrofuture (with a budget this time) rather than .... minimalist modern white.#Spock #TOS #star trek #bea art tag #note: you all = general interpretation of Kirk I've seen in fandom and from reboots etc.#Kirk in adaptations is like a wisecracking cool guy who loves having fun #Kirk in TOS (so far) seems like he's about to be crushed under the weight of it all at any moment & also like he's vaguely irritated #at all times [again not positive or negative I just didn't expect it - he's so serious!]

Please take this modest offering after *checks watch* a long time!!! hfbvhjfbghgb #I actually drew this way earlier this year but various things had it slide onto the backburner #fabdante's art really inspired me to want to do my own 'dmc character in an awesome fur coat'-#the decadence! the floof!#dmc character in alt outfit #(and before you have to wonder- I have absolutely considered kimono outfits for everyone nbgjrthbgh)#I had originally planned on drawing ReDante or Kat- but ended up drawing my girl Lady instead #I think a fur coat suits her really well ya know?#it was originally drawn in my sketchbook with the fur having been done with a brush pen :D #I tried to keep it on brand colorwise...and actually languished a good while on whether or not to make the fur white or not #I ended up going for the dark fur obviously but with contrasting white lapels meant to kinda invoke the dmc5 jacket a bit! :D #oh and while not my original intent- I can't help but think 'band au' when I look at this now nnfbfhg #anyway!#big thanks to fabdante for keeping up the cool art/meta pots/ and reboot kid art! we love to see it!!! ;DDD

Made a faintly insane list of of every animated movie I have good enough memories of to feel confident ranking, although some of them I would probably move around if I saw them more recently....

#Apparently “It's Such a Beautiful Day” is my favorite American Animated Movie which is not something i REALIZED before I made this...#movies i haven't seen since i was a little kid aren't on here which excludes a lot of Disney Classics. I have seen more animovies than this #i made up the word animovies to fit that sentence in that tag #also i watched all of the nge reboot movies but it was several years ago and I genuinely do not remember anything that happened in them #i remember not liking them compared to the tone of the series or original movie or thinking they contributed much #despite ostensibly fleshing out the world more #the lower you go on this list the more deranged it looks #i am not actually a big Pixar stan or anything. i do feel like this list makes LUCA being my highest ranked Pixar movie make sense tho..#like. contextualizes that choice by laying bare my Proclivities #i have not watched as much complete and utter dogshit slop as Emily #i DID make her watch Igor (2008) tho it was like... not actually terrible but i went in with my expectations on the ground #i made this list when we were watching strange world and strange world didn't end up on this list on account of me not actually paying #enough attention on account of the deep thought i was putting into this instead #texting #off topic #I have not been having an easy time doing creative things so you get movie and book opinions #i feel vaguely apologetic for some of the choices in this. but not really. funny how the reason mk got eliminated in s1 was bc she couldn’t resist taunting julia (calling her a buttknuckle which made julia realize she’d been watching the confessionals), and how in a sense it goes hand in hand with whatever they had going on in s2. they just can’t help being in each others orbit lmao

People I'm re-watching Max Steel and season one Forge is making me LIVID.

Kudos to the writers for giving him new ways to avoid questions every episode but I am so close to yelling at him through my screen. Who am I kidding, I already have.

JUST GIVE THEM SOME DAMN ANSWERS FORGE! Re-watching is so much more frustrating becuase this man is standing there acting like he's not hiding Max's entire IDENTITY and SPECIES from him.

Side note: It's a really, really smart and unique way for the writers to justify Max and Steel's recklessness and rebellion against N-Tek. Their actions are a reasonable leap of logic because they deserve answers. They're also inexperienced, and so their searches don't go well.

Side Side note: Am I also the only one confused as to why Max calls Forge "Uncle Ferrus" if Ferrus is his last name? I've never heard anyone do that, especially because it's not like he knows any other uncles, so I don't know why the writers didn't go with Uncle Forge. I've only ever heard people use first names or a separate title that means uncle.
