Gilcrease Museum Tulsa, Oklahoma
One of the most haunted places in Tulsa is Gilcrease Museum which is believed to be haunted by none other than Mr Thomas Gilcrease himself. It seems only natural that he would want to keep an eye on his museum and staff have confirmed seeing him here and there around the building since his death in 1962.
He also makes himself known by slamming doors and via the sound of his footsteps. However, the museum has been the subject of many a paranormal investigation over the years and it is said that Mr Gilcrease is not alone here.
Witnesses have reported seeing the spirits of a number of Native American children running around in the museum. Children have also been seen playing in the garden and people often say that they have heard laughter when nobody else is around.
All in all, it is thought that there are at least 7 spirits in the museum, and all are believed to be friendly!

Episode 52: The Dibbuk Box Photodump
Image 01: The Dibbuk Box opening mechanism - IS THIS THE WORLD’S MOST HAUNTED BOX? Anyone who owns the box or comes near it has bad luck follow them while the box is near. Image 02: The original photos of the Dibbuk Box from the original EBay auction show a modest “wine cabinet” which was purchased at an estate sale. The box has origins that date back to the Holocaust. Image 03: Original photo of the inscription on the back of the box is said to be a Jewish prayer. Image 04: Photo of the contents which were found inside of the box: a candlestick with octopus legs, lock of brown hair and lock of blonde hair, dried rosebud, goblet, granite stone slab with inscription. Image 05: The box switched hands several times via eBay auction due to being EXTREMELY HAUNTED. Image 06: Jason Haxton purchased the box on eBay and employed several kabbalists, wiccans, and scientists to study the evil nature” of the box. Image 07: While Jason studied the box, strange things happened. Jason claims the box had an anti-aging effect on him. Meanwhile, a tree blew into the home of someone who mocked the box. Image 08: Centipedes, Spiders, Fungus, and “Killing Mold” were attracted to the box. Image 09: Zac Baggans of “Ghost Adventures” purchased the box and has it stored in his Haunted Museum in Vegas. Baggans does not allow the public to go near the box without signing a waiver releasing him of liability. Image 10: While visiting The Haunted Museum, Post Malone touched the box and immediately suffered several waves of bad luck - his plane tires blew out on the runway, his home was broken into, and his car was wrecked!

"most allegedly haunted houses turn out to have gas leaks!"
no they don't. you are merely skimming the surface of mundane shit that can be wrong with old houses with your one puny little explanation that only fits a very small number of cases. try harder

They like to visit their favorite human every once and a while. [Original Characters]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The building is haunted, but the ghosts get attached to the workers [specifically the older ones who work there.]
The new workers are afraid of encountering them [most probably don't even know they exist and think it's just a rumor] while the older workers are used to them.
They're especially fond of this one guy in particular. He's been working here for 30+ years. They treat him like your indoor cat and he leans into their affection because he's a lonely starved old man who everyone sees as strict and indifferent.
[Note: This affection only extends to the older workers of the haunted building. (New workers have been reported fainting around their presence.) Others will not be treated as nicely. Please keep your distance and notify guards during an encounter.]

Recovery, by Anonymous
From the American Visionary Art Museum
This lone figure was carved from a single apple tree trunk. It was created as a self-portrait by a British mental patient who had a distinctive concave chest from years of tuberculosis. His doctor remembered that he took no interest in making art until he encountered a fallen apple tree during a walk on the hospital grounds and asked for help in dragging it indoors and getting simple carving tools. At that time, there was hospital prohibition for mental patients handling what could be 'lethal' instruments. However, Edward Adamson, a pioneer in using art to treat mental illness, persuaded the authorities to relax this rule, and trust the patient. The result, 'Recovery,' was a vindication of Edward's remarkable insight. For a month, the patient whittled the wood down to this figure. The artist, in his thirties, committed suicide about two years after leaving the hospital. This applewood figure is his only known work of art.
