#so fact about me#i hated peanuts#strong taste to an autistic#and knew a kid when i was 5 who died of a peanut allergy#but last year#i decided i’d learn to like them#to expand my food palate#culinary choices#they’re good protein and energy source#the texture of peanut butter would clearly be great#so i bought one that people thought was a good one#(pip & nut sweet and salty smooth)#and started forcing myself#to eat a bit of peanut butter every day after working out#(brain hack: cus endorphins + body would love the energy spike)#and after a few months#i’d enjoy my pb&j#and now if i go a day without peanut butter i get cravings#so peanut butter chocolate chip cookies it is

#aka top 10 things i wish i could drill into my coworkers brains grrrrrrrrrrrrrrnrhrhbgbgbfbfbfnf#‘you should get a bf’ ‘when are you gonna get married and have kids?’ how about n e v e r#i just want to sleep when i’m not on the clock mans i don’t want to waste my precious sleep time on others#i mean. i don’t even leave the house on my days off. not to go shopping or anything bc sleep is more important~~~#and stuff can be bought online anyways s o o o o o#g o d speaking of online purchases thoughhh this massage seat i bought online came in yesterday and it works amazingly well~~~~~#used it for half an hour last night and i was relaxed enough to sleep for 11-12 hours straight#wish i had space for an actual massage chair though but this will have to do…#it’s been my dream to own a massage chair for the longest time…… but ig this massage seat is good enough……#i can just slap it onto my desk chair and b a m ✨instant paradise✨#speaking of instant though… one of my coworkers was commenting on my love for instant noodles the other day#‘you’ll ✨d i e✨ faster if you eat a lot of cup noodles yk?’ he said#so ✨o f c✨ my mouth chose to work faster than my brain when i replied with ‘i’m fine with that bc i won’t have to work then’#he and another coworker laughed :( sadded#b u t i finally had my cup noodles that i ‘customised’ at the cup noodle museum today and it was good~~~~~~~ i have good taste (self praise)#the best part was the lack of spring onions!!!! bc screw spring onions really who decided that they should be included with most cup noodles#or just noodles in general? the texture sucks and they don’t even taste good man. why would you even add spring onions?#it’s number 2 in my list of most hated food toppings. it loses only to ikan bilis bc s c r e w ikan bilis or dried anchovies or whatever#they’re known as >:( i hateeeeee how takeout places will just assume that you want ikan bilis and lop on a huuuuugeeeee serving of them#atop your food as you desperately and futilely b e g them to stop#and when you try to pick them out they just!!!! keep turning up everywhere instead?????#like hello???? how did you manage to get to the bottom of the bowl???? you were only added as a topping!!!!!!!#also. their eyes are really creepy. and the heads get detached from the bodies all the time and just. seeing the eyes ruins my appetite.#wait this was supposed to be about my coworkers and their pushiness in a matter that doesn’t concern them how did we get so far off-topic—#chizuutan chizpost

Always freaking terrified of going places with people and not being able to eat anything on the menu and them thinking I think it's all disgusting or that I don't like food from other cultures or think it's disgusting or something
#went to a japanese restaurant with my friend before hamilton which i was keen for#hoping theyd maybe have some chicken katsu... mm.. but. it was all seafood#the only fish i really like are perch and hoki#made the mistake of thinking i could eat pesto at this italian restaurant#nope#the sauce was so. so creamy#i dont... really like sauce.... when i have spaghetti bolognese i only get enoigh so that it soreads the flavour...#friends thought me having just chicken and rice was odd but i enjoyed it#forever lamenting that satay chicken from a chinese place near my friend's.... it tasted good and it had PINEAPPLE in it????#i love pineapple#but holy crap it was so spicy#anyway#i promise my reluctance to eat things i dont know isnt from looking down on them#its just fear of trying something new because i can have INTENSE reactions to textures#i remember my parents giving me a bowl of a mysterious substance. i thought it was mashed potato and they said yes#took a bite and wanted to throw up#it was scrambled eggs#idk if this is a stupid worry or not. i just. hate coming off as rude. im so sorry im like this with food

Can't let anyone forget about my practically obscene love of mushrooms. I will post about it constantly.
#speculation nation#im a little freak actually so i hope my collection of new followers r fine with that#loving mushrooms is not freak material but the level that i love them kind of is#this isnt even getting into my other odd eating habits. of which i have many.#or my habit of sampling anything and everything at work so long as it's Technically edible#up to and including plain matcha concentrate and rose concentrate and vanilla paste#and hazelnut extract and vanilla extract and caramel extract and#ive eaten plain coffee beans before and in fact DELIGHT in taking the lemon ginger shots. just plain lemon juice mixed with ginger juice#ginger juice as in just juice from the ginger. not a ginger beer no just straight ginger concentrate. i love that shit.#let's see what are other things ive sampled at work...?#plain sugar syrups. always awful. hate sweet shit like that. i will still sample them tho if i get some on me#uhm. boba dough. which ive heard unprocessed tapioca is uh. toxic. but i think ours is processed?#i havent gotten poisoned from it yet! and handmade boba dough is actually pretty tasty#raw store bought boba is one of the worst tastes and textures ive ever experienced tho#which yes i have sampled that too. and spat it out bc i couldnt bring myself to swallow. awful awful awful.#it's kinda a running joke at my workplace that i will sample basically Anything#i cant help it 😭 the other day there was a lil bit of vanilla paste left over on the tablespoon#so i just went and dripped it into my mouth w/o thinking on my way to put the tablespoon in the dish area#& the employee just saw me physically cringe. drop the tablespoon at the sinks. then rush to the hand washing sink to rinse my mouth#& he was just like. 'did you just SAMPLE that????'#& i had to be like. '....yeah😭😭😭😭😭'#to b fair some months ago he saw me sample the rose extract. run to the sink to rinse my mouth#then 15 mins later. not learning my lesson. sample the vanilla extract. then run to the sink to rinse my mouth.#the vanilla extract was slightly nicer than the rose extract. bc at least it didnt make my tongue numb (like the rose did)#Flavor Shock. that shit's real man#anyways ramble post is rambles. i just dont want anyone to think im cool or anything lmfao

Soy milk challenge ? :0
much less of a challenge and more of a project. a journey. very straightforward just get my hands on as many kind of soy milk possible and grade them. theres a fresh/artisan soy milk division which was logistically difficult (had to get a friend to buy for me bc i live too far for one. got lost in some random suburb for another), quite expected. the winner was the homemade date soy milk from a spicy noodle restaurant, which has since closed their closest branch but still exists elsewhere. this division was less important just beacuse statistically im much less likely to buy these due to location and money constraints but there were some really good ones in there for special occassions.
after all realistically i buy milk from the supermarket like the average person. but the supermarket division was difficult just because supermarkets sold in like 1-2L bottles. while i could theoretically buy and taste all of them at once, i am only one person. tf was i supposed to do with 30 liters of opened soy milk? my fridge isnt even that big. my stomach certainly as well. there is a limit to how far i can stretch 'consume within 5 days'. and there was no way im throwing them away. and since i had to actually finish each box before buying a new one it ended up taking a full year
all in all productive experience. cheers from me n the winning supermarket soy milk.
#one of them had a nasty texture?? like taste was fine but it was very grainy. had to bake it into a cake bc i just cant drink it straight#and if ur wondering why well i come from a country where fresh soy milk is very common and bountiful. moved in to this place and found the#selection all just so......disappointing#so many of them trying too hard to be a dairy replacelemt instead of embracing the soy milks uniquely delicious profile#but mama didnt raise a quitter i HAD to find a good one. i know its out there. i just have to Look.#and no im not lactose intolerant i just love soy milk. and hate coconut milk (as a drink) just putting it out there

there's something wrong with me. a few days ago I ate a shrimp. today, I had some curry catfish. guys. I absolutely despise seafood. how was I able to eat these
#they. didn't taste fishy at all to me. wtf#tbf the shrimp was coconut n i LOVE coconut but the texture didn't even throw me off like it just. felt like chicken#and i used to be a huge catfish lover as a kid but something changed and I've hated it for seriously 17 years of my life#and every time my mom would make it even in adulthood id give it a chance n taste it but i still absolutely hated it#so it's not like it's bc it's been a long time bc i still make myself try things#but this time. this time i tried it and i loved it??? i think it's bc of the curry ive never had it curry style before#I'm a curry fiend#anyway i hope to be able to eat seafood one day bc it's very upsetting to me that i don't like it
