Just went in to take the toughest anatomy test of the semester (multiple choice, for lecture) that I only kinda prepared for and have like 7/10 migraine type headache pain and somehow managed an 82. I will take it and run thank you very much.

Somehow I'm going to survive this semester, although not unscathed. This pain is unreal lately.

This doctor's office is just made up brick by brick with lies.

"If you draw your labs today, you'll have your appointment tomorrow."

"You can't have your labs drawn in 24 hours, so I cancelled your appointmentyesterday before I told you that."

"Oh did you have your labs drawn? If so, I can fit you in. If not, you do not have an appointment with us." But I'm having an urgent medical situation unrelated to those labs, I NEED to keep my appointment-- "(she literally raises her hand in my face) LISTEN. We can schedule you for next week, but you're not getting an appointment today."

"You have to call in and request a lab form and take it to the lab every 3 months."

"Since you have appointments every 6 months, you need to call our lab number 2 weeks before an appointment and ask if we have any lab orders on file for you. Then we'll draw them!"

"No one is going to pickup our labs today, so it won't be ready until tomorrow."

Today at 5:00pm : Your lab results are ready!!

What. The FUCK is the correct statement here. And if you fucking monsters can't keep your story straight, how am I supposed to know, let alone be responsible for, your fucking system??

Sometimes I think about how when I was literally on the verge of death because my doctor refused to diagnose me with my chronic illness claiming that all my symptoms were caused by puberty and that my underweight(at the time) self was eating too much.

Like ah yes my favorite effects of puberty: Fainting and having my joints dislocate from doing something as simple as getting out of the car!!

On a more serious note I will ALWAYS sympathize with overweight people who get their problems dismissed due to weight and diet seeing how quickly a doctor was able to dismiss my life threatening chronic illness as over eating despite me being obviously struggling with an restrictive ed. I’m lucky I got diagnosed and medicated before it was too late, I can only imagine how much worse it must be when a doctor has a “valid” reason to dismiss it as diet.
