Meena Raja (once Meena Raja-Moore) used to be the previous advisor. Her now late-husband was the Clan Leader who helped establish Lunar Cove way back when with her by his side as his second, which means your character has only been in the role of the advisor for about a year now

While many adored her husband and looked up to him, Meena’s relationship with him had always been much more conflicted with him often denouncing her advice as his 2nd at each turn. Instead of mourning Theo, she decided to capitalize on the opportunity and not only take on the role of Clan Leader but run for that of Mayor with your character being their right hand.

Their relationship can be anything from partners in crime to trusted allies to bickering co-workers, but Meena did select your character as her second for a reason. Whatever dynamic the two share, there is a great deal of trust there and she would have selected your character as her second since your character is someone who isn't afraid to challenge Meena, question her or give her opinions others may be too afraid to voice.
