Trial of Sebastian Sallow WIP

“Sebastian, please listen to me!” Althea shouted. “You’re not thinking clearly! This has gone too far!”

“I need to save Anne! This relic is the answer!” 

“Dark magic isn’t going to help her! It will only make it wor-”

“Crucio!”

Althea crumpled to the dusty stone ground with a scream that echoed throughout the cavern. Solomon Sallow stepped out from behind a broken stone pillar, his wand still pointed at the girl’s body. 

“ALTHEA!”

Sebastian’s brown eyes were thrusted open as he woke up with a strangled yell. She was in trouble. She was in pain, and he needed to help.

He reached for his wand, his breathing shaky and uneven. Only, it wasn’t there.

In a panic he looked around his surroundings, his head swiviling from side to side. It took his brain a second to catch up with what he was seeing.

The fifteen year old was lying on a cot in a dark cell. Solomon wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Althea wasn’t with him.

He was alone.

Here is what I’ve been working on for when Hadlee Euphoric met Cedric Diggory. As of now, no fancy title

“Hm. Interesting, very interesting.” The Sorting Hat’s voice was very quiet, but Hadlee could hear it loud and clear. “Just like your grandfather, you’re kind and have a deep sense of loyalty.”

Hadlee smiled.

“You like that, eh? Well then, you belong in – HUFFLEPUFF!”

Applause erupted throughout the Great Hall. McGonagall lifted the hat back up and helped Hadlee off the stool.

The girl made her way to the clapping Hufflepuff table, the smile still on her face. She sat between an older blonde girl and a brunette boy who looked her age.

“Welcome to Hufflepuff,” the blonde said. “I’m Victoria Macmillan.”

“Glasspetal, Radiance?”

“Hadlee,” introduced Hadlee.

“GRYFFINDOR!”

Hadlee jumped at the even louder cheering. Over at the Gryffindor table were three red headed boys loudly whistling and clapping. A girl with dark red hair ran from the podium to join them, grinning.

Victoria shook Hadlee’s outstretched hand as she stared at the table. 

“That’s Charlie Weasley and the Glasspetal twins,” said Victoria. “And next to Charlie is my cousin, Oliver.”

Hadlee craned her neck. Sitting next to the largest redhead was a boy with brown hair. He was talking to a fourth redhead, completely oblivious to the chaos around him.

She could just make out the word “Quidditch” being said.

“It’s a little loud, isn’t it?” the boy next to Hadlee asked.

“Only a little.”

He smiled and held out his hand. “Cedric Diggory.”

“Hadlee–”

Here is what I've been working on for my modern!au where ominis has a service dog

When The Sun Found Me

The rest of chemistry passed in relative peace, though Ominis could feel Ben constantly shifting beside him, the scratch of pencil on paper as he scribbled, the quiet mutterings about lab assignments. Ben’s presence, animated and restless, was impossible to ignore. Despite the low buzz of his voice, Ominis managed to follow Mr. Sharp’s lecture. Though he knew he’d have to revisit the dictated notes later to recall any finer details.

When the dismissal bell rang, Ominis shut his laptop with a click and reached down to give Mari a gentle pat. She stretched beneath his touch, her fur soft and familiar as her paws tapped against the floor, waiting for his cue to move. Together, they navigated around tables and stools, Ominis’s hand brushing against the familiar edges to guide him out.

He’d barely made it two steps into the crowded hallway when he sensed someone falling into step beside him.

Ben’s voice rang out, filling the air with his boundless energy. “Hey, Ominis! Do you know where room 17B is?”

Ominis felt an involuntary flicker of annoyance. Sharing another class with this boy was hardly what he’d hoped for, especially not right after the mentally draining chemistry lesson. With a resigned sigh, he adjusted his grip on Mari’s rigid harness, half-wishing she could somehow ward Ben off.

“Algebra 2 with Mr. Ronen?” he asked, his voice tinged with a heavy sigh.

“Yeah. How’d you know? Oh, do you have him too? That’s sick! Now I won’t have to worry about finding someone new to sit with,” Ben rattled on, oblivious to Ominis’s reluctance.

Ominis didn’t respond, instead he nodded and turned toward their next class. If he remembered correctly, Anne was in this one with him. Just the thought of her presence calmed his nerves.

Ben, unbothered by the silence, matched Ominis’s stride easily. “Guess I’ll just follow you two, then. Right, Mari?” he murmured, his voice softening as he spoke to Mari as if she could fully understand. She flicked her ear at her name, but her posture remained focused, guiding Ominis expertly through the flow of students. It helped that she knew these halls and his schedule like the back of her… paw.

Title: Yule Ball with George and Radiant

Premise: Radiant is big sad about Oliver not being at the Yule Ball. George, being a good cousin, tries to cheer her up.

Sentence: The sixth year, who normally dressed in trousers instead of skirts for her uniform, felt way too vulnerable in the golden dress she now wore.

Title: The Trial of Sebastian Sallow - Part 1

Premise: Theseus and Hector Fawley argue about Ashma going to Azkaban. The title is lowkey kinda misleading. I apologize.

Sentence(s): “I’ve followed her for a year, I have firsthand knowledge of who she is and how she works. Her mind would break within the first month of being in Azkaban!”

Title: Thashma angst because they've been too happy

Sentence: Her long braids flowed around her with every step she made, making it look like they had a mind of their own.

Sentence: Cedric Diggory stood in the doorway of the Defense Against the Dark Arts office, his grey eyes blazing with a fury Hadlee had never seen before.

Title: Bellatrix tortures Glasswood

Title: Radiant punches Flint for like the 987th time (queen)

Title: Newtangeline (Tangerine) in Pirate AU

Sentence: She was a very pretty woman, he had to admit, between her long pink hair and warm brown eyes that sparkled in the torchlight, but it was still strange seeing her there.

Premise: During Deathly Hallows, Percy Weasley joins the fight to defend Hogwarts. He is reunited with his family and with Victoria Macmillan. They make out, and it makes me happy.

Sentence(s): Her arms wrapped around his neck and she hugged him tightly, her body falling against his like it was the most natural thing in the world. His arms went around her waist, pulling her even closer.

Title: The Raven and the Auror Chapter 2

Premise: Radiance Wood, Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies, meets Gideon Drake, a small Slytherin third year. It's technically a fic for a fic called Gideon Drake and the Fire Within.

Sentence(s): Gideon Drake made his way out of the Bell Tower wing and stepped into the courtyard. He could see the Flying Class Lawn where the earlier incident had occurred with Mr. Wood’s broom.

Title: Glasswood meeting

Me: I have a Fourth Year fic on hiatus because...life; I have a Deaf!Harry fic I am co-writing with a friend: and that isn’t even mentioning all the WIPs I have in another Fandom. That’s enough to be getting on with.

My brain: Okay, sure, but you know what would be super interesting to write?

My friend who read the notes on the new project: Wow, okay, that's super dark.

Me: What? No! It's supposed to be quick and fun and super easy to write!

Wohoo progress. I couldn't focus today on work because my brain sat in Harry's atelier. I like the little story that came to me with the idea for this art and, anyway, I always wanted to create something in Muggle AU where Harry is an artist. Here we goo. (Still WIP + catching another idea top left. Also: please brain, stop it, I want to finish one piece of art, thank you.)
