Born on 11 November 1981, Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie is the heir apparent to the crown of Luxembourg, as the eldest child of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. He has served as the Lieutenant-Representative of Luxembourg since October 2024.

Guillaume has been heir apparent to the crown of Luxembourg since his father's accession in 2000. On 8 October 2024, it was announced by Grand Duke Henri that Prince Guillaume was appointed as lieutenant representative (regent). Under this capacity, he assumed a number of his father's constitutional powers.

On 26 April 2012, the court announced the engagement of the Hereditary Grand Duke to the Belgian Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy. The civil wedding took place on Friday, 19 October 2012; the religious wedding took place on Saturday, 20 October 2012, at the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Guillaume and Stéphanie have two sons, Charles (4) and François (1), who are second and third in the line of succession to the throne of Luxembourg, respectively.

March 17 - Ayumi Sakagami (Cure Echo)

St. Gertrude of Nivelles: 17th century Benedictine abbess who, with her mother Itta, founded the Abbey of Nivelles, now in Belgium. She is the patron saint of travelers, gardeners, against plague and cats.

4. Movie of the year?

Man, this is a tough one. I didn't watch as many movies as I thought I did? It's been so busy this past year. But I LOVED Alien Romulus. That was SUCH a good time, I really need to get a physical copy of that movie!!

7. Favorite actor of the year?

I'm going with a voice actor since I don't really follow the lives of movie/TV actors much. Gianni Matragrano, voice behind many an internet meme video...and the voice of Mr. Gabriel Ultrakill. Yes I have a bias, but the man's got RANGE. I wouldn't even know what to say to him if I ever met him in person sdhfshds

8. Game of the year?

I was hoping I could say Elden Ring for the DLC on this one, but like...the ending of that DLC really put a sour taste in my mouth. I basically took all of Messmer's lore and the other lore of the Land of Shadow and ran away from whatever the hell was going on with Miquella dkhsdksd. So I guess I'm going with Ultrakill on this one? Yes, I started playing it last year but it still has me in a vice grip a year later so it gets this slot lmao.

9. Best month for you this year?

That goes to September/October! In September I got to see Drawfee live and it was such an amazing time!! I also started my new job as a pharmacy tech at the end of September, so that made me really happy that I was getting stable income again. Also, October is my birthday and spooky month, it's my favorite time of year <3

20. What’s something you learned this year?

I've been learning a lot about different kinds of medications thanks to my job! I've learned so much in the almost 3 months I've been there. I've also been learning to be more accepting of myself. I took some steps with my writing that I didn't think I would and didn't think anyone would want to read, but honestly? I'm so glad I put myself out there again!

23. If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be?

Deep breaths. Things are exhausting and kind of scary sometimes, but they have a way of working out. Take them one baby step at a time. And keep writing!! Your brain will thank you for it!

25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one

I absolutely did! Technically I made Charlotte at the end of last year, but she's gotten way more development over the past year, so I'm counting her. She's my lovely cyborg OC for Ultrakill that is constantly going through The Horrors TM. I've also made several supporting OCs to go along with parts of her story! One is Myla, a soul stuck in the Lust layer, and another is Guillaume, a cutie little Streetcleaner machine! I also have Raguel who is an angel (derogatory) and another supporting OC coming down the pipeline but shhhh I'm keeping their stuff on the down low until they actually show up in the fic!

TOLKIEN SPEAKS: THE SECRET TO A HAPPY MARRIAGE

J.R.R. Tolkien was a romantic. When he met his future wife, Edith, at the age of 16, he was instantly smitten with her and immediately began an informal courtship, taking her to local tea houses on a regular basis. When the priest who acted as Tolkien’s guardian found out about his romance, however, he forbade him from having contact with Edith until the age of 21, so as not to distract from his studies. Tolkien reluctantly obeyed. For five long years, he waited for the one he knew was his soul mate. On the evening of his 21st birthday, he wrote a letter to Edith, declaring his love and asking for her hand in marriage. A week later, they were engaged to be married.

Throughout his life, Tolkien wrote love poems to his wife, and in his letters to friends, he writes glowingly about her. But perhaps his most famous and enduring tribute to his beloved bride was weaving his romance with her into the mythology of Middle Earth in the story of Beren and Luthien. A more moving tribute would be hard to find.

He wrote to his son, Christopher: I never called Edith Luthien – but she was the source of the story that in time became the chief part of the Silmarillion. It was first conceived in a small woodland glade filled with hemlocks at Roos in Yorkshire (where I was for a brief time in command of an outpost of the Humber Garrison in 1917, and she was able to live with me for a while). Born on 4 October 2005, Emmanuel Léopold Guillaume François Marie is the younger son and third child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium. He is currently third in line to the throne of Belgium after his elder sister, Princess Elisabeth, and brother, Prince Gabriel.

He was christened at the chapel of Ciergnon Castle in the Belgian Ardennes on 10 December 2005. His godparents were: his maternal aunt Countess Elisabeth d'Udekem d'Acoz and Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg.

Emmanuel graduated from the English-language International School of Brussels in Watermael-Boitsfort in June 2024. He currently continuing his education in a college in the United States.
