hey howdy hey! i’m mindee and this is my brand new muse, dorothy! below the cut you’ll find some information on her and if you have any questions or want to plot, please click that heart or im me.
( DOROTHY CLARKE ) is a ( 23 YEAR OLD ) ( CISFEMALE, SHE/HER ). In the bustling city, they work as a ( BARTENDER AT HANGMAN’S ). They are said to be ( AMIABLE, RECEPTIVE ), but also occasionally ( BLITHE, JITTERY ). In these troubling times, they have taken a ( PRO-ANDROID ) stance. They, in fact, own their own android, ( TBD ). To strangers, they bear a remarkable resemblance to ( ALISHA BOE ). ( MINDEE, EST, 18, SHE/THEY )
born on march 24, 2015, dorothy grew up in the type of life you grow accustomed to in a small farming town in nebraska. she took care of the various farm animals, sometimes helped with the harvest, and sometimes even had to fix some of the tools they used on a daily basis. she went to school with all the other children in a - somewhat archaic - schoolhouse. after she did her homework and chores, dorothy was able to have a bit of personal freetime. she’d go exploring sometimes, taking her guitar and composition book, or she’d go to the local theater or something to just distract herself. when she’d get to be in her highschool years, she would start taking roadtrips to other towns and go to parties or anything more social.
when dorothy was about eleven, her family was struggling for money and her father had to go find work in industries that still needed a human hand. one of those jobs, and the one that ultimately lead to his demise, was an oil rigging job. as a result, her mother wasn’t quite sure how to raise an eleven year old and two seventeen year old kids on her own. the same day she found out her husband had passed, she went to the bank, got a loan, and drove to one of the sapere stores in lincoln to purchase an AX400. when it came home, dorothy had no idea what to say. she didn’t know what it was or what it’d do, but when it started to greet her she was interested. it could play with her, cook food, help her with the little stuff, and even would listen to her music when her family had grown tired of it.
she loved the android nearly as much as her father, even when her older siblings had already written it off as something to do the chores and her mother had grown regretful of buying it.
when she was eighteen and graduated high school, the first thing she did was pack her bags and decide to go where the road would take her. before she could leave, her mother had given her the AX400 since she could hire help and she didn’t want it anymore, and dorothy was actually ecstatic. the two of them left in a pickup truck and didn’t so much as look back before driving away.
somehow she had wound up in houston, texas and there she got a job as an apprentice bartender. she lived in her car for a few weeks, charging her companion using the now increasingly accessible public charging areas and eating fast food, before she found an apartment looking for a roomate.
pretty much it right now. dorothy is a bartender, still is making music, still being social and kind of doing whatever she feels like, and is pretty content with life. she calls her mom at least every other day and she has visited at least ten times in these past five years.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
personally the biggest one is the AX400, found on the wc page.
then maybe the roomate.
a coworker who shares different viewpoints on androids. pretty easy because hangman’s is an anti-android establishment.
maybe someone who likes to make and write music too.
someone from her hometown who followed her down here because they wanted some adventure too.
anything else we can work out.
#/ this is the messy version i'll probably clean up later#i just wanted something out so i don't forget
