Doesn’t matter what time of day it is, this man will be reassuring you 24/7. He sends the sweetest text messages out of nowhere just to be sure you’re doing good and remember how much you matter to him. Is constantly reminding you over and over again of how precious you are, whether you’re on facetime, voice call, or with one another. Has never missed a day of encouraging you to keep going in any situation you might’ve gotten into. You are constantly smothered with such sweet compliments & phrases whenever you’re with him. Writes extremely long and thoughtful letters to you, whether he’s just giving you an unexpected letter, or it comes with a gift he gave. He doesn’t repeat his words and phrases neither, they’re always unique and different every time, yet they’re always GENUINE. He knows his way around words & being a romantic yet sappy sweetheart, so expect to receive the cutest compliments and affirmations. He always lights up all of your worries and gets rid of any doubt you have in situations. He isn’t afraid to shower you with words in anywhere public either, it doesn’t matter where you are with this man, he will always be reassuring you with sweet words.

Loves doing things for you, he likes the thought that you’d have one less problem with him around.— He doesn’t even have to be there, you’d randomly find sticky notes in your favorite color on your fridge and counters, with the wonky writing you can easily recognize as his. They’re reminders of things you mentioned to him that you were afraid you might forget about, and things you told him you needed to do. Often times, it would just have some phrase like “Your welcome! <3” or “I was here fyi and I did some things for youu -their name <3” Also helps you with chores a lot even though you’ve told him he doesn’t need to. On some days, when he knows you’re stressed/tired, he brings you breakfast in bed, or sometimes brunch. Even if he’s not a good cook, or even if he is, he loves to try and cook u a meal. He’s not the best with words so he makes up for it with his little GESTURES. Definitely a believer that actions speak louder than words, and he can and will prove it to you without you even noticing it. Will always hold the door open just for you before he enters, gives you his jacket/coat whenever you feel cold, lets you wear his shoes whenever he can tell yours are starting to hurt from walking in heels.

Gift Giving

Physically can’t show his love using words or gestures. This guy is no sweetheart with words nor is he a romantic when it comes to being in a somewhat committed relationship. Which is why— he does try to make up for it by buying presents to surprise you with. Specifically purchases objects that immediately reminded him of you when he first saw it. Isn’t used to showing the kind of affection that involves stepping out of their comfort zone. He js can’t get used to showing his love in any other way, yet this man still tries to bring something other than money spending to your guys’ relationship. Always has a new gift for you every time you two meet, mostly clothes and accessories— because he knows you love those. Knows it himself he’s gotta try showing his love in different ways, but he knows you’re fine and love him the way he is, so he doesn’t think much about it. Surprisingly likes going on shopping sprees with you— Normally, he won’t ever be seen holding someones shopping bags while he follows them around and happily pays. But you’re always an exception, just because he loves giving you gifts and spending MONEY on you. Is crazy rich too considering he does this.

Quality Time

Never gets tired or bored of spending TIME with you. Can’t go a day without you, whether you’re on face time together or you’re actually with one another. Has made it a routine to spend half of his day talking to you about absolutely anything that the both of you could be thinking of. The subject of your conversations with him doesn’t have to make sense, he’ll make sure the both of you are smiling or laughing at the nonsense that the two of you have been muttering for hours. Dedicated to spending as much time he can with you, it doesn’t even matter what time of the day it is or if there’s an occasion. He’s so genuine about it too, he always puts aside his phone so that he can give you 1 hundred percent of his undivided attention and you wouldn’t have to worry about him dozing off to something that is unimportant or unrelated to what the two of you are talking about. Is committed to keeping his eyes on you and is devoted to listening to your rants while he offers his complete sympathy instead of unwanted advice. Isn’t anywhere near good at saying goodbyes whenever you have to go your separate ways. You literally need a whole new person to take him away just so he’d go home.

Physical Touch

It’s almost like this man was deprived of physical touch. Like, he can’t keep his hands off of you, even for a single moment. From the first time you met him, to the minute you agreed to become his girlfriend— You easily figured how much he values physical touch when it comes to you. A waist grabber, whether you were expecting it or not, he’d randomly sneak up behind you, holding your waist as he buries his face in the crook of your neck. Loves covering every inch of your body with kisses and bite marks. He also loves hugs, he values them a whole lot and views them as a sign of trust and comfort. Without a doubt, you shouldn’t let go of his hand at anytime that you guys are doing so, if you do, he’ll probably be quite upset with you and even go as far as to throw some silly tantrum. This guy either values physical touch cause he feels a genuine and sweet connection between you or, he’s js the type to be in the mood 24/7 and is down bad whenever your with him. One or the other, this man is absolutely obsessed with seeing your reaction to him teasing or tempting you. Passionate kisser, one hundred percent sure of it. Is the type to shower you with physical AFFECTION, knowing you won’t get sick of him.

beat: hangyul drabble ft. mikey and brian

“You can’t be serious.”

Hangyul is used to certain personalities at this point. Ac3s got him used to multiple, though maybe that was why they all were where they are. Even now, years after the group’s disbandment, and Mikey and Brian have met him for coffee. Hyosung would support anything he did, so would Hyun, he was sure. But Ac3s co-captains always had something to say. Like now.

“Maybe it’s just not meant for me. I mean, i’ve debuted twice already, and they both failed. Maybe I’m not meant for this.” Hangyul stirs his iced coffee, looking between the two boys.

Brian’s eyes are gentle, but they always have been. Less of a spitfire and more of someone to think every move out. He’s kind, but calculated, something that Hangyul picked up on early. He was the sweetest guy but that wasn’t to say Ahn Brian didn’t have a more calculating side to get what he wanted. He could have management yelling in his face and still smile and that was scary enough. 

Mikey is the opposite. Dark eyes are alit with flame, a passionate person who was more than protective of his friends and family. It was why Sky House existed, why nothing touched them; because Mikey Lee made sure nothing dared. Loyal, sharp wit and sharper tongue. His arms are crossed, his brain wracking over the next words, his fingers tapping his arm, wedding ring bright against his finger. 

“You’re not serious. You’re going to just let your contract die and leave?” Mikey blinks a few times, dark eyes incredulous. 

“Mikey, you don’t have to be mad for me. I want to do music, I do. But maybe it’s not time yet.”

“Bullshit.” The curly haired male muttered, looking away. Brian sighed, looking between them. “Hangyulie, you know Mikey. He’s…”

“Protective?” Which gets a scowl from the other who the group very early on affectionately nicknamed “grumpy cat captain.” 

“It’s not fair.” His voice is quieter now, staring at the coffee. Hangyul notes that Mikey looks older, even more so. The tattoos on his forearms, the tiredness in his eyes. The only time he’s ever seen that exhaustion diminish was when Solbin or Jinwoo or Sky House was involved. And before that, Ac3s. But that look of exhaustion is prominent on the other man’s face. 

“Mikey, it doesn’t matter if it’s fair, you know that netizens will destroy him.” Brian’s voice is quiet as well, the blond male reaching over and lightly kneading Mikey’s shoulder. “This is my fault, though. All of you guys have some sort of mark on yourselves because of Ac3s. Because of what I did.” Mikey rubbed his temples. “Sometimes I think about if I had just stayed, even if I was unhappy. I could have waited till my contract was up and just left, not walked out halfway through our second year. I know…I know that Uncle KT has your best interests at heart, Hangyul but you know how hard it is for me to keep my mouth shut at these meetings? I want to sign you myself, you’re so talented, if anyone deserved to never have to do this a third time, it was you.” 

There’s silence. Hyosung and Hyun are lucky. They both happened to get the “good deal”, the one that made sure that netizens didn’t find reasons to talk about them on their down time. Netizens pitied Hangyul. Netizens scolded Brian. Netizens hated Mikey. And yet, Hangyul notes, Mikey had to deal with that daily. The constant hate, the knowledge it would never stop. “You’re pitied. Netizens will eat that up, from a social media side. They love an underdog. Nothing was ever your fault. If I tried, which I don’t want to, I’d be ripped into. So would Brian.” Mikey shrugs to get Brian’s hand off, which the other does reluctantly. 

There’s a soft smile from Hangyul. “It’ll be okay. I haven’t seen you guys so…let’s just have coffee like old times.”

the door flipped open, and you came in with a smile plastered on your face. you stood at the counter waiting for one of the baristas to finish making the customer's drink. 

"hey! welcome," the male said, as he fixed his slanted name tag. "what will you be having?"

"just a vanilla latte, please," you replied, taking your wallet out of your backpack. 

"great, that'll be $4.99," his voice sounded like fresh brewed coffee on cold mornings. you pass him the money after meeting his caramel eyes for just a second. he let out a soft chuckle under his breath after seeing your rilakkuma wallet. the sudden chuckle caught you off guard that a blush appeared on your face.

you proceeded to the waiting counter as he started making your drink. your eyes were on him the whole time, admiring his figure. you eventually caught a full glimpse of his nametag even if he was moving back and fourth. lee hangyul. 

"here's your vanilla latte," he said, placing the cup of coffee onto the counter. he said it with one of the cutest smiles you've ever seen.

"thanks," you said, trying hard to avoid eye contact. 

he disappeared to the cashier before you took a seat by a huge window. you took a peek of him serving the next customer and stopped before your heart skipped a beat. maybe studying at a new spot wasn't such a bad suggestion.

 a little drabble for anon! this is my first drabble so im sorry if its a little too long for your liking. i’ll stop taking requests/submissions for a bit because i have some things planned! but once it’s opened ill inform you guys as soon as possible <3

As you finish getting groceries with Hangyul, you notice he seems to always want to carry them all by himself. Going so far as to race you to the trunk just to grab them all.

You decided you had enough of that and tugged on one of the plastic bags on his left hand. Surprised by your action, he pulls the bag away from your grasp, you still didn’t let go.

“Baby, it’s fine, I can carry these by myself.” He smiles, trying to get you to let go. But then, a lightbulb lit above your head on how to cleverly persuade the stubborn boy.

Putting your plan into action, you gaze at him with doe puppy dog eyes, lips pouting just a little bit,

“I know that babe, but I wanted to hold your hand.” You knew Hangyul could never resist that face.

After a few seconds of him broken processing, you tug on the plastic bag again, this time, he does let go, frantically and wildly trying to cover the scarlet hue that peppered his cheeks.

With the bag in one hand and Hangyul’s hand in the other, you chuckle at the boy’s cute reaction, a triumphant smile on your face.

“Nice to see I have that kind of effect on you.” You giggle as he can’t even look you in the eye. After hearing you though, finally, he stops hiding his face and tightens his grip on your hand, gazing at you longingly,

“Baby, you don’t even know.”

[5:03pm]  dancer!Hangyul can’t help but laugh in the middle of the flash mob when his eyes land on you, a new member of the public that has formed in the middle of the mall to watch their perfomance, who is trying to dance along to their choreo. He finds this not only hilarious but also extremely adorable. He focuses on keeping up with the dance, but Hangyul knows for sure that once the performance ends he is going to walk to you and “compliment” your dancing skills.

And maybe even offer you some dance lessons in exchange of a date with him.

x1’s reaction to them being sad

han seungwoo 한승우

seungwoo isn’t one to express his feelings, you weren’t one either. a common (bad) trait in the relationship, but you know when seungwoo was in the dumps and when he’s happy.

so when the news of x1’s disbandment came about, you knew you guys were going to have a lot of movie nights and silence. you waited patiently until seungwoo comes around and talks to you about it.

cho seungyoun 초승연

honestly, i’m not even sure for him. maybe he would crack more jokes in order to cover up the sad mood he has. because he wouldn’t want to bring your mood down too. but if you notice seungyoun being a bit off, just tell him that you’re always listening and you care for him :). i think the would just like some reassurance.

kim wooseok 김우석

more quieter than usual and oddly scary. he would close off his walls and try not to make anyone break in until he comes up to you one day and just cry, he was tired of bottling his feelings in and couldn’t handle any of it anymore.

lee hangyul 이한결

another one i’m not sure in. at times hangyul seems so... quiet but yet, loud? but i feel like hangyul would be more mean without meaning to. but one day, he said something awful to you on accident while you were trying to comfort him. you tried ignoring the comment but it kept on sticking to your mind causing you to cry. hangyul felt bad seeing you cry and promised to himself that he wouldn’t hurt you ever again.

kim yohan 김요한

he would hold a straight face for the most part, no cutesy smiles. would avoid you and just practice taekwando every day and night. it would probably take the thoughts off his mind that is the reason why he would be practicing all day long. but if one day you barge in with some food and genuinely ask if he’s alright, i think he would break down and tell you everything he’s been experiencing.

cha junho 차준호

surprisingly, he would be expressive of this, as in more pouty and more cuddles. not the crying one lmao. i feel like junho would avoid talking about his feelings at all costs. he doesn’t really like confrontation and would rather keep it to himself.

son dongpyo 손동표

hmm... dongpyo,,, i’m getting two vibes, one, he would make himself to be even more happier and energetic because he wouldn’t want to disappoint or worry people. second, he would go to you for advice and talk it out unlike junho. dongpyo would like to let someone know about what he’s feeling and thinking.

kang minhee 강민히

now this one has me thinking.. i never thought of him as an emotional one nor a stone cold person, so i don’t know where to put him on the spectrum. wow, i actually don’t know what to put for him, sorry minhee fans :<.

lee eunsang 이은상

eunsang. i feel like he would be bitter? in a way. like bitter smiling in a sense, he wouldn’t cry or anything like that. but he bitterly accepts the fate/event. that was the vibe i got when it was revealed that eunsang is the x member in the final episode.

song hyeongjun 송형준

i think this one is the obvious, hyeongjun is a baby (not saying it in a bad way.) hyeongjun would just go cry and rant to you on how bad the situation is. please wipe his tears away from his cheeks and give him a big ol hug :)

nam dohyon 남도현

our dohyon-ie would try to keep it in. as a fellow scorpio, not getting much into zodiac signs but, he wouldn’t want to let anyone know he’s feeling sad, dohyon would like to keep that cool and mysterious front and act like he doesn’t give a sh*t. dohyon doesn’t want to show everyone that he is “weak” and i would say he would hide it pretty well to the point no one would know, even you.

[4:17am] Gently closing the front door and tiptoeing his way through the apartment, Seungwoo tried his best to make the least noise possible. All of his effort went down the drain when he heard your favorite anime's opening song blast through the previously silent hall.

"Are you serious? You're rewatching the whole thing, again?!" You turned around, your hand over your mouth, trying to keep the popcorn pieces from falling to the ground.

"I'm so'y. I'll go 'o bed." You tried answering, your mouth full.

"That's not it, you could've waited for me to come home before starting it." With that, he jumped on the couch next to you, sliding his arm on top of your shoulders.

"So... What did I miss?"

[9:16 am] You squinted your eyes at the blinding light seeping through the blinds as you adjusted to the severe intensity of the brightness first thing in the morning.

You whined slightly and turned over to snuggle further into boyfriend!Hangyul’s chest, for a few minutes that’s how you remained; in comforting silence. However all peace was broken when screams erupted all through the halls of your boyfriends dorm. Oh, the other members must be awake.

Hangyul, on the other hand, groaned and pulled you impossibly closer, hiding his face in your neck in order for him to not face the world, you giggled when you felt him press ticklish chaste kisses all over.

“Hannie~” you giggled, tiredly “stop that, it tickles!”

“Mm, but look at your adorable face, how could I not shower it with love?” Hangyul mumbled, his voice thick with sleep.

“Silly boy,” you laughed and shook your head which caused him to pull away, you smiled and pressed a kiss to his cheek, “we should probably get up, the other members are causing quite the racket..”

Hangyul groaned and rolled off the other side of the bed, landing on the floor with a loud thud. The light haired boy peeled himself from the floor and trudged towards his wardrobe, rubbing his eyes the whole way.

He threw a sweater over his head and pulled on some shorts, he sent a smirk your way and gently tossed a hoodie over to you.

“Might want to put that on,” he said, smirk evident in his voice, “I wouldn’t want my members seeing you like that, it’s all for me baby” he winked at your naked form before you quickly pulled the hoodie over your head, not forgetting to send a glare his way.

Even though your boyfriends hoodie fell halfway down your thighs, you still made sure to put some underwear and pyjama shorts on just in case, this dorm was chaos and there was no telling what could happen.

You sat at the table with a few of the other members, Hangyul brought you some toast which you gladly thanked him for, he pressed a kiss to your temple before sitting down to eat himself.

“That’s the last thing I want to see right now..” Minhee mumbled into his glass, your boyfriend shot him a confused look before you shook your head and got up from the table to pour yourself some water.

Although, much to your horror, you didn’t make it to the kitchen before a sharp ache erupted between your legs, causing your knees to buckle straight to the floor.

You could hear Hangyul snicker as he obviously knew that he was indeed the cause as to why you could barely walk. You quickly got up and poured yourself a glass of water before returning to the table, trying your best to ignore the excrutiating pain you were feeling.

“Are you okay, Y/n?” Eunsang asked, “you look really.. strained?”

“I’m fine!” You said quickly, sending a what-you-thought to be a reassuring smile towards him.

“Are you sure?” Seungwoo intervened, “it looked like it was a pretty nasty fall.. I wonder how it could’ve happened..”

You quickly sent Hangyul a panicked nudge under the table to which he replied with a wide eyed glance to say ‘what am I supposed to do!?’

“I don’t know..” Wooseok chimed in, twirling his fork around with a single finger, “maybe it could’ve been, ‘harder, Hannie! Please, fuck me harder!’” He mocked in a high tone.

You spat out your water, soaking a poor, unsuspecting Dongpyo who sat opposite you. “I- i,” you stuttered, “we weren’t-” you gestured to you and Hangyul

“You nasty children were anything but subtle, I had all the 02 liners and Dohyon in my room since it was the furthest from yours all. Night. Long.” Seungyoun muttered through gritted teeth.

You suddenly stood up from the table and retreated back to your boyfriends room, him following close behind, you harshly swung the door behind you so it would slam, a startled Hangyul catching it just before it smacked him in the face.

You sat on the bed with your knees up to your chest, Hangyul softly shut the door and took gentle steps to sit on the end of the bed in front of you.

“Y/n, what’s wrong?” He asked, taking your hand in his which you quickly yanked away

“Because that was humiliating, Hangyul! I told you we shouldn’t have done it at the dorms-” you said, running your fingers through your hair while you panicked.

“Baby, calm down.” He let out gently, “they’re just cranky since they didn’t get much sleep, don’t be embarrassed, they’d never say anything.. I promise” He took your hand in his once again and you turned to look at him with glassy eyes.

“Besides, I told you to be quiet. It isn’t my fault that I’m so good that I have you screaming my name.”

"ow! you're heavy!" you exclaim, but he ignores your complaints and rests his head on your chest.

"you're gonna suffocate me," you say.

he squeezes you in a hug before he moves to your side. "can i be the big spoon, please?" he asks.

"no," you tease, not moving.

"y/n," he says. you don't respond. "fine, face me then, i'll be the little spoon."

just when you turn around to become the big spoon, he leans forward to kiss you.

"wha—hangyul!"

he laughs. "that's what you get for not letting me be the big spoon," he says, turning his back on you. "now cuddle!"

"okay! jeez," you say, hugging him from behind. "you're so clingy today."

"always will be, for you," he says.

You sit at your desk, waiting for the telltale chime of the video call on your laptop, nervously shredding a piece of scrap paper between your fingers. You shouldn’t feel so anxious, but you do. It hasn’t been easy to watch things unfold from the sidelines and all you want to do is protect him from the wave of hate and negativity. You want to take away his phone and shield him from the internet. You want to physically fight the higher-ups at MNet for the absolute mess they’ve made. Your mind is distracted by these thoughts and so when the ring comes through the speakers, you jump slightly, even though you’ve been expecting it. You hesitate, preparing yourself, the mouse hovering over the answer button. You know that you need to be strong and supportive. You need to keep your own emotions in check. He’s been that person for you so many times, now it’s your turn to be there for him.

With a deep breath, you slide a bright grin into place and accept the call. As usual, the screen is blurry and distorted for a moment, but then Seungwoo comes into focus. He offers a half-hearted wave, but you’re immediately distracted by the red puffy circles around his eyes. It reminds you of the time he tried to do his own make-up for an interview and had an allergic reaction to the old, cheap shadow he’d found at the bottom of his bag. But you know this isn’t the result of poorly applied, expired make-up. You know he’s hurting and it kills you. Of course, there’s no need to dance around the subject, not between the two of you. You dig your nails into your palms, readying yourself to speak in a cheerful tone.

“Hey, you. Hanging in there?” you ask. You tilt your head and offer a sympathetic smile. He’s clearly going through it, but it’s not the absolute worst shape you’ve ever seen him in and that makes you feel a little more at ease.

Seungwoo starts to nod, but then it switches directions and turns into a head shake instead. His bottom lip trembles and he quickly tilts his head back, looking up towards the ceiling of his hotel room. You can see the way his throat constricts and you know he’s holding back tears. You wait quietly, giving him time to collect himself. After a minute, he blows a burst of air through his lips and then looks back down towards the camera, forcing a small smile.

“It’s... fuckin’ hard,” he admits, his voice strained with emotion. “I feel like I’m holding everything together. Barely.” You know exactly what he means. After dating for as long as you have you know him better than anyone. You’re sure he’s spent the entire day being positive, putting on a brave face and comforting the rest of the members. “I just don’t know what happens next. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to say to them sometimes.”

You lean back in your chair and pull your knees up to your chest. Hugging your arms around your legs you nod, listening to him vent. The truth is that you don’t know those things either and you won’t even begin to pretend you know how he feels. But you do know that he’s amazing and talented and so kind and eventually the whole world will recognize that.

“It’ll be okay,” you say with a small shrug. It’s a simple, generic response, but you honestly believe it to be the truth. “Just take it one day at a time. Focus on what’s important and being the best you can be. You guys have a ton of support and plenty of people that love you, whether you’re an idol or not.” You point a finger towards yourself and stick out your tongue playfully. Even though his eyes are still damp with emotion, he grins and you recognize it as genuine. He’ll be okay. They all will be. You know it.

“They don’t deserve this, you know? This should be such a happy time for all of us, but we can’t catch a break. I just want them to be able to rely on me, as their hyung. As their leader.” His voice sounds stronger now and less affected. He brushes his hair away from his eyes and you can see the fire and passion reignited in them. He’s regained his composure. Your heart aches. You’re so proud of him and you hate that anyone could make him doubt himself when he’s trying so damn hard. You clear your throat.

“Seungwoo… being the leader doesn’t mean you always have to be strong for them. You’re supposed to lead and sometimes that means showing them it’s okay to be upset and angry and emotional too.”

“Ahhh… I know, I know,” he replies, scrunching his nose up at you through the screen. You’re not sure he does know, though. He’s the type to take on too much, carry too heavy a burden, suffer alone so that he can spare others from suffering. 

“Just keep doing what you’re doing. No matter what, you’ll always have one huge fan cheering you on.” You give an exaggerated wink into the webcam and it makes him laugh. You love the sound of it.

“Let’s meet up as soon as I get back to Seoul. I’ll give you an autograph,” he teases.

“Let’s do that,” you agree. You exhale, feeling relieved. He will be okay. They all will be.

there was a forecast of a rain covering over the city that you called home, seoul but you didn’t mind so much especially since the streets were peaceful as you made your usual journey to your job. you worked as a barista at a local cafe, you didn’t mind it much as it was just a part time to get some money going until you start college again in the autumn, for now you were content with serving couples, the regular group of old ladies that would use the cafe as their gossip location, and of course the really handsome group of men that always came in during the morning and then once again in the afternoon, at this point you just assumed they were idols because of how handsome they were and the fact they never removed their face masks when sitting down.

you rushed inside as you noticed the cafe was getting busier than usual, biting your lip as you looked around noticing the decorations, some displayed a name that you read as: lee hangyul. this caused your heart to stop, the name ringing in your head and feeling your eyes begin to water but you refused to let it happen, here, of all places. you bit your lip tightly, before shrugging away the memories that were fighting to ruin your day, your heart raced as you quickly rushed to get your apron but no matter how hard you tried, the memories hit you and you couldn’t help but let them win, as you reminisced.

“i.. can’t be with you.” he spoke so nonchalantly, almost as if the words had no repercussion, like he didn’t care how you’d feel when hearing them. “wh-what?” you choked out, staring up at him, it felt like your heart was being ripped to shreds every time he looked at you, except he wasn’t really taking you in and that frustrated you, “i can’t be with you... you’re too clingy, you’re just.. suffocating. i want to go... do bigger things than just be your boyfriend. you have it all figured out, going to college, all that... but what do i have? just you? that’s pathetic.” you scoffed as you couldn’t believe what you were hearing, pathetic, your eyes glazed over, and you couldn’t help but let the tears fall, “s-so that’s it? you’re just done, because what? i’m too much? i make you feel pathetic?” he just nodded, and you wanted to scream, “i hate you. i hate you.” you hit his chest with all the power you could muster until he slightly pushed you away, you ripped off the necklace he gave you throwing it at him, before quickly getting out of there.

that was a year ago and it still stings your heart to think about, you tried to attend college but it was too much for you, so you dropped out and you struggled to trust anyone, causing trouble with your friends so you ended up moving into the city hoping it would help, signing up for college again but now it feels like you’re being hit with a ghost of your past but you sighed softly, “they’re just pictures.” you whispered before starting your work day.

an hour or so had passed when you heard the bell tingle, smiling slightly to yourself as you took note of the time: 10:00am. ‘on the dot’ you thought to yourself before turning around to see the usual group of five men, they were very tall in comparison to you which meant eye contact was difficult but they were very kind, you walked up to take their order, smiling softly, “hi again! what can i get for you today?” you looked up at one, noticing the tattoos peaking out on his collarbone before returning your gaze back to your book, “hi, we’d like five cups of coffee tea, please.” you nodded as you wrote it down, “is that al-“ you were cut off by the shorter one of the group, “look, they’re having a cup sleeve event for you, gyulie.” your eyes widened as you kept your gaze fixed on the notepad, trying to take in the information that just passed your ears but you could feel them getting hotter, your eyes filling with tears, noticing how one dropped against the notepad you had tightened your grip on hoping that it would help you stay grounded, so you breathed out before returning your gaze to the men, glancing every so often to the one he was speaking to, discovering that he was just staring at you, “is that all?” your voice came out small, mentally cursing yourself out before ripping your gaze away from him, you could feel your heart rushing and knew you had to get away from this situation because you wouldn’t be able to explain why your breathing is picking up in pace, your thoughts were interrupted by one of them who asked for one of the lemon cakes before they went and took their seats near the window, once they were gone, you couldn’t believe what had just happened causing the notepad to drop from your hands feeling yourself start to stumble, you gripped onto the desk in front of you, breathing in and out slowly as you kept your gaze focused on the coffee cake below in the window display, trying your best to ground yourself, you didn’t want to worry the people you worked with nor those you worked for, the customers.

a few minutes had passed before you slowly regained the strength to retrieve your notepad and start on their order as quickly as you could, before taking it over, you promised yourself to sit the tray down and leave but that wasn’t so easy when one of them struck up a conversation with you, “so how long have you worked here?” you looked him up and down, noticing the small tattoos on the side of his wrist before smiling lightly, “just a few months.. here’s your cake.” you placed the cake in front of him, “well, we appreciate your hard work cause you’ve been serving us since we started coming here and you’re always pleasant to us. so thank you.” you smiled softly at him, “that’s really sweet of you, thank you, enjoy your cake.” you bowed, noticing how he didn’t even look in your direction once but his friends were very much interested in everything you said, ‘he doesn’t give a fuck’ you thought trying to push away the fact that the man you shattered your heart is sitting just feet away from you, the man that is the reason you refuse to trust another living soul is sitting right there and can’t even look you in the eye.

Seungwoo:

He's such a sweetheart and wouldn't mind at all that you're taller than the average. He's still taller than you anyways, and every time you're insecure about your height he'd be there, holding your hand and telling you that you're the most beautiful girl that he's ever seen, and that he wouldn't change a thing about you.

Seungyoun:

He too wouldn't really care. I think that he may tease you sometimes, but he'd just say a joke here and there, and those times you got angry he would hug you from behind whispering in your ear that he was just joking. You'd turn around with a smile and hug him back, only for him to whisper again "Now come cuddle with me beanpole, will ya?"

Wooseok:

We all know that he's such a savage and teasing guy, so be ready to bear with his constant teasing, although he knew when it was time to stop.

Also since you're a few centimeters taller than him, he'd sometimes ask you to take some stuff for him that was on the higher shelves.

"Woosokie, I'm literally just 2 cm taller than you" "And your point is???"

Yohan:

He'd be kind of surprised by your height. At first he'd admire you from afar. Watching how you carried yourself with such grace. When you wore skirts he'd steal some not so subtle glances at your legs, only to look up again at you and seeing that you caught him staring. He'd then turn around cherry faced, blurting out some incomprehensible words.

Hangyul:

He'd be kind of caught off guard. Woah! A girl as tall as him! He'd tease you from time to time, but not as much as Wooseok. He loved to cuddle with you, intertwining his legs with yours. However those soft moments wouldn't last long, since he couldn't hold the urge to tickle you, hence turning your cuddle session in a tickle fight.

"Come back here, those legs won't bring you too far away from me anyways!"

Junho:

He wouldn't care at all. Tall, short, he just loved you the way you are. Maybe once he'd got comfortable enough with you he'd sometimes tease you. But yeah, all in all he wouldn't really mention your height or be surprised by it. He'd sometimes just stare at you from the other side of the room, watching you talk with the other members, being grateful to have been so lucky to have found someone as beautiful and precious as you.

Dongpyo:

This little cinnamon bun would be quite flustered at first by your height difference, but after you got together he'd just use it to his advantage, making you take for him things that he couldn't reach, just like Wooseok. You'd sometimes steal his things and hide them on purpose on the higher shelves of the house, only to watch him cutely struggle to take them back. You'd end up helping him, giving him back what you stole from him, not before kissing him on the cheek.

"Cutie" "Yeah, I sure am" he'd say pouting.

Minhee:

I think Minhee would make some sweet comments about your height, saying that you should be proud about it. When you cuddle he'd sometimes steal your phone, having you chasing him and reach him, only for him to hold it high up his head. "I don't think your height will help you much against me" he'd say smirking. Then you'd kiss him out of nowhere, making him drop his arm from your sudden action, letting you successfully retrieve your phone. "Hey! That was foul play!"

Eunsang:

I see Eunsang as a really sweet boy inside. When you two got comfortable with each other, when cuddling he's find himself absent-mindedly drawing small patterns on your legs with his fingers, admiring how long and beautiful they were. "Princess, you know you're gorgeous, don't you?". You'd snap your head in his direction, feeling your cheeks heat up. He too would be surprised by his own comment, deciding to change the subject to not make the situation awkward. "Are you thirsty? Yeah me too. I'll bring us some water".

Hyeongjun:

This cutie is just so sweet. He'd compliment you all the time, making you quite flustered from the amount of sweet and cheesy stuff he'd say to you. I think he'd show you off to all the other members, bragging about you and how beautiful you were, sticking out his tongue at anyone who groaned at his display of affection.

Dohyun:

I think Dohyun like Junho wouldn't care about your height, and won't tease you about it. I think he wouldn't even think about the fact that you were taller than the average until Dongpyo, complaining, made a brief comment about it. But he won't give it too much of a thought anyways, resuming his conversation with you. "So, what were you talking about? Oh yeah, I think that dress you bought the other day fits you...s-so well".

drabble challenge #2:

hangyul was slowly but surely losing his sanity as he stared out the window. he was never one to stay home for an extended period of time, always taking the opportunity to explore new places every chance he got. so, being stuck at home with no option of leaving was draining his soul. and it didn’t help that he had run out things to play with in the small apartment he shared with you, having mastered each and every game that you two owned. he turned his head to watch you as you sat on the dining table, typing away at your computer. while he was suffering staying locked in, you were in your element. while hangyul was an adventurer, you were more of a homebody, always staying home whenever you weren’t working or running errands. you had joked earlier that you had been preparing for this your whole life, and as he watched you, he was starting to believe your words.

he walked over and took a seat next to you, pouting as he rested his head on his crossed arms. “play with me, y/n. i think i’m going to die from boredom right now.”

you laughed, shaking your head at him. “play with yourself, hangyul. i have work to do.”

hangyul raised his head. “that sounds dirty.”

“get your mind out of the gutter. i didn’t mean it like that.”

hangyul wiggled his eyebrow at you playfully. “sure, you didn’t.” he poked your arm lightly. “please y/n, you’ve been working all morning. take a break and stop me from dying of boredom.” he gave you puppy dog eyes, for good measure.

you groaned. “fine, 1 hour. that’s it. then you’re going to leave me alone to finish my work. deal?”

“deal!” he said, smiling widely at you. “what do you want to play? mario kart?”

you smiled back at him, closing your laptop and walking to the kitchen. “yeah sure, you set it up, i’ll bring snacks.”

“perfect!”

while you had said you’d only play for one hour, it soon turned to two, then three, and before long you had spent the whole afternoon trying your hardest to beat hangyul just once. your small apartment was filled with the sounds of hangyul’s evil laughter as he lapped you for the hundredth time, and your whines as he won the match once again, which always led you to ask for a rematch.

“just one more!” you whine, gripping his arm and shaking it.

hangyul pulled his arm away with a laugh. “let’s watch a movie instead. i’ll order some pizza, and you choose the movie.”

“are you sure you want to give me that power? because you know i’m going to choose a rom-com.”

“if that’s the price i have to pay so that i don’t have to play another round of mario kart, then i’ll gladly pay it.”

“asshole,” you yelled at his retreating back, which garnered you a laugh from him.

hangyul returned ten minutes later, and settled into the sofa, next to you. you rested your head on his shoulder as the movie began.

“thanks for saving me from boredom today,” he whispered.

“anytime,” you whispered back, with a smile.
