This is very pretty.
"Are you still in this fight, Violet?" "I am the dirt under your nails, Cupcake. Nothing's gonna clean me out."

Anyone else think it was weirdly appropriate for their first time to be in a jail cell?
the moment vi realised caitlyn's the love of her life

In Arcane Season 2, there’s plenty of talk about Viktor being robotic Jesus, Jinx still being crazy but taking that little girl under wing, Caitlyn becoming a dictator, the Caitlyn/Vi fallout drama, Jayce going crazy, etc.
But you know what I think we need to talk more about? That time Vi spit in Caitlyn’s face, and Caitlyn wiped the spit toward her mouth. Can we talk more about? I feel like that says a lot of things we wouldn’t have guessed about Caitlyn.

Oh I like this. They weren’t perfect, but they still have nothing to apologize for.
I am not a Jedi apologist, because the Jedi have nothing to apologize for.

Saying that Robin-Man sounds stupid is already the perfect counter, pointing out that Calendar Man’s calendar was wrong was just the cherry on top.
"No, because Robin-Man sounds stupid." BABY DICK GRAYSON IS A NATIONAL TREASURE.

Sidious was definitely putting on a show, but that doesn’t mean Mace couldn’t have still defeated him.
Personally, I split the difference. Mace won the lightsaber fight, but would not have been able to defeat Palpatine in terms of Force power. Anakin’s intervention determined that battle, and as such it was his choice that damned the galaxy. It also means that in Episode IV, he wasn’t just saving his son, he was doing what he should have done 23 years ago.
Somebody asked me this question the other day, and I felt like the answer was pretty obvious but I'd like to see what you guys think!
I have a meta queued with my in-depth answer to this question, which I'll post in a few days after this poll closes.

It is very telling who someone lets themselves be vulnerable with.
ok i swear to god i'll shut up about this but y'all the scream i let out when caitlyn, althroughout the funeral of her mother, held in her tears and stayed composed, poised. she regally showered her mother with petals, not a single speck of emotion—as expected of someone to be next-in-line for the kiramman name.
but when she and vi were alone, one word from vi (mind you, not even a question like are you okay?, it was just hey.) and she broke down. she cried and was vulnerable.
despite everything that happened; vi was, and still is caitlyn's safe space and that makes me cry.

May I add:
“Brave”
“Loyal”
“Protective”
“Skilled”
“Encouraging”
I suppose you could say “bald” and “badass”.
Hmm by the way if you cannot think of a single descriptor for Mace Windu other than "intimidating" or "scary" or "imposing" that is a you problem.
Stop projecting it on Temple younglings and characters who are friends with him. Try instead:
"Thoughtful"
"Tired"
"Reserved"
"Stressed"
"Considerate"
"Poised"
"Creative"
"Determined"
"Decisive"
"Hopeful"
"Contemplative"
"Compassionate"
"Pithy"
"Wry"
Hell at this point I would take "tall" or "a Jedi."

Okay, but why is Vi any type of pigeon? I do agree with the birds for the other two though. And Hailee’s reactions are great.

In other news relating to N7 Day, it seems that Amazon has a Mass Effect series in the works. Aside from the fact that Amazon has proven they cannot be trusted with The Wheel of Time or anything Tolkien wrote, the role playing nature of the game is going to make it quite difficult to make any story that will satisfy general audiences.
Is Commander Shepard going to be a man or woman? What ethnicity? What class? What background? Who will the love interest be? I personally preferred either a Caucasian female Shepard (red hair green eyes thank you kindly), Colonist and Ruthless background, Soldier class and romancing Liara; or Caucasian male Shepard, Earthborn and War Hero background, Solider class and romancing Miranda. If I turned either of those into a series, plenty of people who wanted something else (Engineer Spacer who loves Tali for instance) could reject it out of hand. Who will die at Virmire? Will the Virmire Survivor go on to survive the Cerberus Coup? What will happen on the Suicide Mission?
That's not even addressing the issue of personality. Part of the fun of a role playing game is that you can be a noble accepting hero, or a rude racist asshole who never apologizes for anything. I really don't trust Amazon writers anymore. Particularly in who they are willing to be rude to, and what topics.
This ultimately strikes me as another case of Hollywood trying to adapt some beloved franchise, instead of taking the risk on a new idea; and then quite possibly ruining it, through incompetent writers who insist on preachy and downright stupid dialogue.
But maybe this one will be good. We can hope at least.

Happy N7 Day to you all. BioWare is a broken mess right now, but we can still take the time to be thankful for the great games we already have. Before they find a way to ruin their beloved franchises again.

rings of power writers: Yes we understand that by this point in the story, Galadriel had been married to Celeborn for thousands of years. But she's a strong independent woman, so she doesn't need a husband!
also rings of power writers: We're gonna ship Galadriel with Sauron and even say that she loves him. Who cares that he had her brother killed by a werewolf or that he's pure evil. Shipping the heroine with the villain is what you're supposed to do!
These people are idiots. Let me say this clearly, if you ship Galadriel with Sauron then you are disgusting and stupid. Not you have your opinion and I can respect that even if it's different from my own. No, you are simply stupid and disgusting if you ship those two. You gonna ship Ellen Ripley with the Aliens? Laurie Strode with Michael Meyers? Princess Leia with Grand Moff Tarkin?

The bloat and waste in Hollywood and video game studios is truly absurd.
rings of power repeatedly boasted that it cost 1 billion dollars and was the most expensive show ever made. It's also clearly one of the worst, and they didn't spend that money on good writers, good effects, good costumes, or good actors. There are few good actors in it, but not enough to justify that budget.
She Hulk and Acolyte were apparently 250 million and around 238 million respectively. Again what did they spend it on? Bad writing, bad acting, and bad and over used CGI.
Concord supposedly cost 400 million and took 8 years to make, and was then abandoned in less than two weeks because of how truly God awful it was. Look at photos of it, does it look anywhere near good enough for 400 million!?!
Now we're hearing that the Snow White movie may have cost close to 500 million, admittedly due in part to repeated reshoots. That it needed that many reshoots is a sign of bad it was to start with, and it still looks terrible.
And in the ultimate contrast, Godzilla Minus One. Cost less than 15 million (probably close to 12) and was truly incredible. Beloved by audiences because of an incredible story, excellent performances, and the special effects if not perfect, were still solid.
At this point, I legitimately think major movie, tv, and video game industries are just giant money laundry schemes. Especially from Disney, which I used to love.
