Your percussive tattoo video is very interesting to me. I'm curious to know what the sanitation on that is like, and what the site looks like 24 hours later... i would also love to see it healed someday. It's an interesting performance art piece.

yeah! so, I cleaned the letters manually before use, and then put them in an ultrasonic cleaner for 10m or so. ran them in a sterilization bag in a stovetop pressure cooker for an hour at 15 PSI. From what I've found this should be adequate to sterilize the needles.

We did a quick rubbing of the skin with an alcohol-based handrub, mostly cuz everyone was super excited to go and I wasn't sure that like, a 5min PVP-I or CHG scrub would be indicated.

This is very much a harm reduction thing; we weren't perfectly clean/sterile anyways. The foam pad we dipped the letters in was only soaked in alcohol, rather than being sterile, and two of us who were fluid bonded shared letters, which resulted in double-dipping in the ink pad. Also double-dipping for the 3x "ROT." Also, tattoo ink isn't sterile, unfortunately.

I resterilized the letters after that for myself and one other.

hah! as much a he needs it not a big fan of the character/therapy.. .

But this guy needed really really good therapy for his ingrained cptsd and how i think the show while its all find /great to hold him accountable for penny/gina/ his mental illness child trauma are so ingrained so deep in his 50s that he gets triggered ast his mothers funeral over past memories of his abusive father. a lot of his tics handrubbing/ anxieties are all stemmed from childabuse. . and i just kinda think the show failed him in regards to a good therapisthe has so many issues and i never felt it was taken seriously enough.. and got lost in the s5/6 plots. heck the show could have had him get a real professional instead of a therapy horse. though im sure the point as athat kind sucks.. which just.. its just frusterating that he gets help and it ends in some bs of dr, champ getting drunk. .. i never looked up to bojack as some great role model im just sad for him.. i want him to get real help.. and to.. get better.

im convinced he just needs a life coach not a friend/romance partner a paid professional type person to keep him in check at this point. .

Pharmaceutics, Vol. 15, Pages 2793: A Novel Handrub Tablet Loaded with Pre- and Post-Biotic Solid Lipid Nanoparticles Combining Virucidal Activity and Maintenance of the Skin Barrier and Microbiome

Objective: This study aimed to develop a holobiont tablet with rapid dispersibility to provide regulation of the microbiota, virucidal activity, and skin barrier protection. Methods: A 23 factorial experiment was planned to define the best formulation for the development of the base tablet, using average weight, hardness, dimensions, swelling rate, and disintegration time as parameters to be analyzed. To produce holobiont tablets, the chosen base formulation was fabricated by direct compression of prebiotics, postbiotics, and excipients. The tablets also incorporated solid lipid nanoparticles containing postbiotics that were obtained by high-pressure homogenization and freeze-drying. The in vitro virucidal activity against alpha-coronavirus particles (CCoV-VR809) was determined in VERO cell culture. In vitro analysis, using monolayer cells and human equivalent skin, was performed by rRTq-PCR to determine the expression of interleukins 1, 6, 8, and 17, aquaporin-3, involucrin, filaggrin, FoxO3, and SIRT-1. Antioxidant activity and collagen-1 synthesis were also performed in fibroblast cells. Metagenomic analysis of the skin microbiome was determined in vivo before and after application of the holobiont tablet, during one week of continuous use, and compared to the use of alcohol gel. Samples were analyzed by sequencing the V3–V4 region of the 16S #rRNA gene. Results: A handrub tablet with rapid dispersibility was developed for topical use and rinse off. After being defined as safe, the virucidal activity was found to be equal to or greater than that of 70% alcohol, with a reduction in interleukins and maintenance or improvement of skin barrier gene markers, in addition to the reestablishment of the skin microbiota after use.
