The Evolution Of Pre-Loved Luxury: How Perceptions Have Shifted Over The Years
Tumblr media
Who doesn't love branded luxury bags? And if that is about Louis Vuitton and Burberry one can't overlook it. Why investing in the costly luxury items when you can have it pre-owned? Products such as pre-owned Louis Vuitton handbags and Pre-loved lady Dior handbags have experienced a dramatic change in their development throughout time due to changes in customer perception, market dynamics, and cultural trends. Here's a thorough examination of how pre-owned luxury has been seen differently:
Early Views: Exclusivity and infamy
Before the 2000s, Purchasing pre-owned luxury items or luxury handbags in India was once frequently frowned upon. Possession of luxury goods was seen as exclusivity and newness, and used products were viewed as less appealing.
Market Restrictions: There existed a little market for gently used luxury goods, mostly restricted to specialised consignment shops in the area or word-of-mouth sales. Regarding the authenticity and quality of the artifacts, there was a lack of confidence and proof.
The Early 2000s: A Time of Transition
Rise of Online Marketplaces, 2000–2010: The development of the internet and online classified ads sites like Craigslist and eBay began to alter the terrain. Although these sites made pre-owned luxury products as discounted designer bags more widely accessible, they lacked robust authentication procedures.
Influencers and celebrities: As a result of their adoption of vintage clothing, the general public's perspective has gradually shifted to value the individuality and provenance of previously owned pieces.
Over the past few decades, there has been a substantial shift in the luxury goods sector due to shifting customer attitudes, shifting market dynamics, and cultural shifts. Once stigmatised and limited to speciality sectors, the idea of pre-owned luxury bags or products such as Louis Vuitton discounted bags has gained popularity among consumers who value sustainability and fashion. The development of pre-owned luxury is examined in this article, with a focus on how attitudes have changed from the early days of stigma to the present period of general acceptance and appreciation.
Owning luxury goods was once seen as a sign of exclusivity, newness, and status. Purchasing used luxury products was frowned upon since it was seen as sacrificing the appeal of owning a brand-new item. Because they were viewed as less attractive, pre-owned goods were only sold in local exchanges or specialised consignment shops.
The luxury market itself contributed to the continuation of this image. To keep control over their brand image and pricing, brands frequently discouraged the resale market by emphasising the exclusivity and uniqueness of their items. Because of this, the pre-owned luxury market was modest and undeveloped. The market for pre-owned luxury items started to shift in the late 1990s and early 2000s with the introduction of the Internet.
In the 2010s, Expanding Acceptance and Growth
From 2010 to 2015 saw the Rise of Niche Platforms The market was greatly affected by the introduction of specialised luxury resale sites like The RealReal, Vestiaire Collective, and Poshmark. By providing authentication services, these platforms increased customer acceptability and trust.
Economic Factors: The 2008 global financial crisis raised demand for more reasonably priced luxury options, which increased the appeal of pre-owned goods.
Awareness of Sustainability: Pre-owned items are becoming more and more popular as people become more conscious of sustainability and the negative effects rapid fashion has on the environment. Customers started to recognise the environmental advantages of recycling and reusing expensive goods.
From 2015 to 2020, Purchasing pre-owned Louis Vuitton handbags, Pre-loved lady Dior handbags, Pre-owned Goyard bags among others became more common by the middle of the 2010s. The stigma attached to used items has substantially decreased and there you can say came the fashion revolution as a result of increased customer preference for used goods, movements supporting sustainable fashion gained traction. Economic factors also played a crucial role in this shift. The global financial crisis of 2008 led to increased interest in more affordable luxury options. Consumers who were previously hesitant to buy second-hand items began to see the value in purchasing pre-loved luxury goods at a fraction of the original price.
Sustainability awareness also contributed to the growing acceptance of pre-loved luxury. As consumers became more conscious of the environmental impact of fast fashion, the idea of reusing and recycling luxury items gained traction. Buying pre-loved goods was no longer seen as a compromise but as a conscious lifestyle choice that aligned with the values of sustainability and responsible consumption.
The fashion revolution movements advocating for sustainable fashion gained momentum during this period. More consumers embraced second-hand items as a way to reduce waste and minimise their environmental footprint. This shift in consumer behaviour was supported by the increasing availability of high-quality pre-loved luxury goods through reputable platforms.
Traditional luxury brands also began to acknowledge the growing resale market. Some pre-loved handbags like Stella McCartney, and Louis Vuitton discounted bags and others have partnered with resale platforms to promote sustainability and extend the life cycle of their products. This collaboration between luxury brands and resale platforms further validated the pre-loved luxury market and encouraged more consumers to participate.
The 2020s: Popular and Honoured
From 2020 till today, the pre-owned luxury industry has grown even more as the 2020s approached, propelled by a confluence of shifting consumer attitudes, economic concerns, and sustainability consciousness. This trend was further encouraged by the COVID-19 pandemic, as many people tried to sell their upscale goods to raise extra cash and clear their homes. Strong demand accompanied this increase in supply as more consumers resorted to Internet shopping and looked for value in the pre-owned market.
A major trend in the fashion industry is sustainability, as more and more customers prioritise making environmentally beneficial purchases. This demand was expertly met by the pre-owned luxury market to provide discounted designer bags, which provided a sustainable substitute for rapid fashion. Consumers were choosing to support a circular economy and lessen their environmental effects, rather than merely purchasing used goods to save money.
Beyond specific buyers, pre-owned luxury was widely accepted. Fashion houses and high-end stores began to embrace the secondhand market. For instance, Gucci and The RealReal, a well-known luxury resale marketplace, announced a collaboration in 2020 to advance the circular economy. With this partnership, one of the most recognisable luxury companies publicly supported the secondhand market, which signalled a dramatic change in the market.
Technology and social media were major factors in the transformation of pre-owned luxury views. The act of celebrities and influencers showcasing their pre-owned treasures and vintage findings on social media platforms such as YouTube and Instagram has helped to normalise and celebrate the purchase of second hand luxury products. The emergence of virtual communities and fashion discussion boards has additionally enabled the sharing of knowledge and advice regarding the location of genuine second-hand goods, enabling buyers to make well-informed decisions.
The Prospects for Pre-Loved Luxury: Persistent Patterns and Advancements
The market is being shaped by several persistent trends and developments, which bode well for the pre-owned luxury sector. The market for used luxury products will continue to be driven by sustainability and ethical consumption. The allure of prolonging the life cycle of luxury goods through resale will only increase as buyers become more ecologically aware.
Technology will become more and more significant in the market for pre-owned luxury goods. Researchers are looking into ways to improve authentication procedures using blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI), so that consumers may feel confident about the quality and authenticity of the products they buy. To provide immersive shopping experiences, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are also being used. This enables customers to virtually try on pre-owned things before making a purchase.
Personalisation and customisation will gain prominence in the market for pre-owned luxury goods. A lot of buyers value used goods' individuality and look for methods to personalise them. It's conceivable that brands and secondhand marketplaces will provide customisation options so that customers may give their previously owned items a unique touch.
Possibilities and Difficulties
The preloved handbag luxury sector continues to encounter obstacles despite notable growth and acceptance. For both buyers and sellers, ensuring the genuineness and quality of things continues to be of utmost importance. To keep customers' trust, resale platforms need to keep making investments in reliable authentication procedures and technology.
The market must also handle supply and demand-related concerns. The supply of premium goods may get more scarce as pre-owned luxury goods gain in favour. This can result in more competition and greater pricing for sought-after items. To satisfy consumer demand, resale platforms will need to come up with creative ways to find and curate a wide range of gently used luxury products.
The pre-owned luxury market offers a plethora of opportunities notwithstanding these obstacles especially the luxury handbags in India. Brands and retailers have a rare chance to interact with a new generation of customers because of the increasing acceptance and celebration of used luxury goods. Adopting sustainability and circular economy principles can help luxury firms attract eco-aware consumers and improve their brand image.
Conclusion
The transformation of pre-owned luxury products such as pre-owned Louis Vuitton handbags, pre- loved lady Dior handbags, preloved Burberry bags online or pre-loved Goyard bags online if to name a few from a stigmatised niche sector to a widely recognised phenomenon is evidence of the influence of shifting consumer attitudes and cultural changes. What was formerly seen to be a compromise is now considered a thoughtful, fashionable decision that supports the ideals of affordability, individualism, and sustainability. The pre-owned luxury handbags in India have been impacted by economic factors, technological advancements, celebrity and fashion influencer influence, and more. Future growth and innovation are anticipated in the pre-owned handbag luxury market, opening up a multitude of new opportunities for customers, resale platforms, and brands.

Ladies, always keep stickers on you
China’s Surrogacy Debate Extends to Women’s Toilets
From universities to hospital toilets, women are finding themselves surrounded by small ads recruiting surrogacy candidates as well as customers. They, and some companies, are hitting back.
By Yang Caini
May 15, 20233-min read #gender#surrogacy
Women in China are covering up surrogacy ads in toilets with stickers and lipstick as they try to discourage other women from becoming surrogates or take up their services.
In late April, a video of an anonymous woman covering up a surrogacy ad with stickers in a women’s bathroom in a hospital in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region went viral online.
Her actions were widely praised, with netizens sharing similar experiences about covering up surrogacy ads they encounter: “I erased these sorts of ads in the toilet of a movie theater.” “I’ve seen ads like this in dorms and school bathrooms.” “They can be found in all three toilets in a Changsha shopping mall.”
Tumblr media
These ads look to recruit surrogates as well as customers. They are usually made up of very few words, with a price and a contact number provided. Many also guarantee a son, the favored sex in China.
Five university students from five different cities told Sixth Tone that they’ve seen the ads “countless times” in toilets. Zhao Yifei, a master’s degree student at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, said that these ads can be found in almost every toilet on campus. She sometimes feels conflicted when scratching them out with her keys.
“On the one hand, I think (surrogacy) can help those families who cannot conceive because of physical reasons. On the other hand … the most likely result is that the rich use surrogacy in large numbers and exploit the poor,” said Zhao.
Commercial surrogacy is banned in China, together with all sales of gametes, fertilized eggs, and embryos. The prohibition has led to the emergence of black markets and cross-bordersurrogacy services that target infertile and same-sex couples.
Surrogate mothers in China can receive up to 280,000 yuan ($40,282) for their services, while customers reportedly pay up to 1.1 million yuan for a surrogate baby with a chosen sex.
The question of whether to legalize surrogacy in China is a heated debate. In 2017, state-run media People’s Daily published an article that discussed legalizing surrogacy to ease the country’s falling birth rate and help infertile senior couples. Opponents, however, decry the practice for exploiting vulnerable women.
Li, who insisted on only using her surname, has kept a marker pen and anti-surrogacy stickers in her handbag since 2019, when she first erased a surrogacy ad in a shopping mall toilet with her lipstick in her hometown of Zhengzhou, the capital city of the central province of Henan.
“I’m embarrassed to say it, but I was thinking about whether the lipstick can still be used afterwards. But this was only for a few seconds — after all, this matter is much more important than lipstick,” Li, 26, told Sixth Tone.
Afterwards, Li purchased anti-surrogacy stickers in case she ran into the ads again. Some of these stickers mention that they are 30 centimeters long, the same length as a needle used for retrieving a woman’s egg. She hopes this scares women thinking about surrogacy by showing what it will mean in practice.
Tumblr media
Some women’s products manufacturers, including sellers of pads and skincare products, are supporting these anti-surrogacy efforts by gifting customers free anti-surrogacy stickers with their purchases.
SISCOM, an online vendor with over 40,000 followers on e-commerce platform Taobao selling feminist merchandise, began giving customers free anti-surrogacy stickers in 2021. “Surrogacy exploits women. It’s banned in China. You will be punished for it,” the stickers read, with a reporting hotline included.
Qiqi, co-owner of SISCOM, told Sixth Tone that she has seen many of these ads herself.
“Sometimes I can’t help but feel that the people who make these ads are so smart … The toilet compartments are so private that you can hardly catch them and ban them,” she said.
Women’s public toilets have been in the news before. In 2020, advocates launched a campaign to install pad-sharing boxes in women’s toilets, which swept across the country.

RECENT ECOMMERCE NEWS (INCLUDING ETSY), LATE JUNE 2024
Tumblr media
Welcome to my latest summary of Etsy and other ecommerce news, relevant for small and microbusinesses online!
Get these updates plus my website blog posts via email: http://bit.ly/CindyLouWho2Blog Get all of the most timely updates plus exclusive content by supporting my Patreon: patreon.com/CindyLouWho2
TOP NEWS & ARTICLES
Etsy has yet again changed how processing times work for some countries, and this time, they’ve opted everyone into working on every national holiday. [post by me on LinkedIn, with screenshots] Many people are happy they can officially opt out of working on some days, but not so happy Etsy opted them in. The next day, Etsy clarified that this is currently only available for Canada and the US, and is only for national holidays, not regional or provincial ones.
The old Etsy listing form disappeared as promised on June 25, and the new one is still a mess [post by me on LinkedIn]. Etsy claims to have fixed numerous issues with the new listing form, including manual translations, bulk editing, and sharing to Pattern. No word on the numerous pricing issues that have affected non-US sellers in particular through the domestic pricing tool, and that have apparently changed both variations and shipping prices for US sellers. The latest new listing form fix is the inability to save drafts, although it doesn’t seem to be working for everyone.
USPS seems to have reused its tracking numbers early recently, with widespread reports of labels created June 18 and later showing as already being delivered in April or May. I’ve updated that linked Patreon post with info on how to get Etsy to correct their own records, so that seller protection and Star Seller status are not affected.
ETSY NEWS
Wondering if your images meet Etsy’s minimum size requirements? I did a video for you [on Patreon] so you can easily check for yourself.
Etsy is still pushing shop loans through YouLend, “up to two times your monthly revenue.” Thanks to Michele from Artologica for the screenshot of the dashboard notification, and some of what you see once you click it:
Tumblr media
and a link to the Etsy program at YouLend. Please read the terms carefully, as they get repaid through your future sales. It appears to be US-sellers only.
There’s a new “Made for You” page with a lot of links to various features for buyers, but I don’t see it linked anywhere on the desktop version of the site. I also don’t really see the point, but maybe we’ll have to wait and see how they use it.
Apologies for missing this one, but sellers in Turkey must now use “ShipEntegra” to mail orders, unless they already use another service. In effect, this means all new shops in Turkey are required to sign up and only ship orders through ShipEntegra, as of June 3.
Apparently the “Buy More and Save” badge Etsy applied to some listings that already had multiple quantity discounts is just a test [item 2] per Etsy.
ECOMMERCE NEWS (minus social media)
General
Facebook appears to be removing links to EcommerceBytes on its platforms.

North American Amazon orders will stop using plastic air pillows by the end of the year.
Amazon is facing another lawsuit on copying successful sellers’ products and manipulating the Buy Box, this time in the UK.
eBay
As of July 1, eBay will be charging most of its sellers more for Express Payouts: $2 each time instead of 1.5% of the total.
eBay is now charging buyers of luxury wallets and handbags an optional $40 for authentication, for items between $200-$499.99. Items $500 and up are still authenticated for free.
The eBay Summer 2024 Seller Update included new tools and renamed programs, but some of them had already been announced.

No Nut November Part 3
Tumblr media
Words: 3.6k
You try to tempt Van to fail the challenge by putting on a show for him // use of sex toys // it’s just really dirty I’m so sorry ha ha 🤭
Imagines Masterlist Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
Part 1 Part 2
Despite a tricky start to November for Van he copes with week one very admirably. You're quite impressed, not that you'd admit it to his face.
As for you, you find that your own sexual appetite is piqued more than usual whenever your mind strays to your latest sexual encounter, reliving the feeling of letting your inhibitions completely go as you took what you wanted from Van. There was something extremely liberating about it, and it's bolstered your sexual confidence to new levels. That only makes your situation all the more frustrating as you find yourself wishing and hoping that Van slips up and you catch him having a crafty wank behind closed doors. You just haven't decided on a suitable form of punishment yet... well punishment in the loosest of terms. You're starting to suspect that Van's secretly harbouring a submissive kink that you're only too happy to help him discover.
Tumblr media
The following Friday rolls around and Van's attention is taken by music making and rehearsals with the band and your boredom sees you flicking aimlessly through social media to while away the hours.
You sigh in frustration as yet another advert pops up on Instagram... there really are too many adverts on this app. You go to scroll quickly by, but then the name of the website being advertised and the fact that there's a 40% sale on catches your eye. It's the adult toy website that you'd been looking at with Van a few weeks back. You never made a purchase at the time but with your mission in mind you decide that now might be a good time for a little shopping spree.
Last time you and Van visited Ann Summers together you were far too embarrassed and flustered to linger long in the aisles, quickly shoving a small vibrator and a pair of pink fluffy handcuffs into your basket before racing to the till to pay. It's a different experience altogether shopping online though. You can peruse at your leisure with no embarrassment at all, but some of the items still make you blush nevertheless. Thirty minutes later you're fishing in your handbag for your credit card and selecting next day delivery, a huge grin on your face and sinful thoughts running through your head whilst you start to plot exactly how you're going to entice Van into losing the challenge.
Tumblr media
You step out of the shower and reach for a big fluffy towel off the bale, wrapping it around yourself and securing it at your chest. You'd slipped out of bed and into the shower whilst Van was still dozing and you wonder whether he's awake yet. Last night you'd met all the lads in the pub and Van was a little tipsy, his affectionate touches quickly turning needy by the time you'd stumbled home and into bed which was always his way. You'd resisted steadfastly, reminding him that it was still only the 9th of November and asked him if he was struggling now, how was he going to feel by the 19th? He'd just huffed grumpily at that, mumbling something about 'your stupid idea' and turning over in bed, quite literally giving you the cold shoulder, finally drifting off into a restless sleep.
You'd been dismayed at the time, wondering whether this was still such a good idea, and who was really benefiting from Van's abstinence, but then you'd reminded yourself of your plan and you'd drifted off to sleep with a warm glow between your thighs and a smile on your lips.
"Mmm... what time is it?" Van's sleep-heavy voice drifts across to you as you sit down on the bed, reaching for your tube of body lotion.
"It's just after 9," you reply, not turning around to face Van. You can see his reflection quite clearly in the large vanity mirror sitting on your dressing table. "Thought I'd let you sleep in as I presumed you'd have a sore head this morning."
"S'not sore, it's just..."
His voice trails off as he rolls over on to his back to see you sitting on the end of the bed, bath towel pooled around your hips, bare breasts jiggling tantalisingly in the reflection of the mirror as you massage the lotion into your arms.
"Huh?" You do turn around then, swivelling your body around to fully face Van, keeping a neutral expression even though his slack jaw and wide eyes are making it hard to suppress the smug smile that's threatening to surface.
"What?"
"You were just about to say something weren't you?"
"Oh... I... errr... I forgot what I was going to say now."
You turn away from Van, rising up off the bed, squeezing more lotion into your palm and then rubbing it between your hands to warm it up. It's still cold on your shower-warm skin, delicate goose-bumps breaking out over your body as you massage it over your neck and upper chest, moving down towards the swell of your breasts. You don't need to look at Van's reflection now. You can feel the heat of his gaze on you as he watches on. You take your time smoothing the lotion over your breasts, cupping them in your hands, kneading at your flesh. Your nipples had already pebbled at the feel of the cool air hitting them when you'd shed your towel, and the feel of the cool lotion on them just makes them peak all the more. You let your fingers pinch at them a little, your breathing deepening from the sensation. You're aware of Van shifting on the bed behind you but he stays quiet. Satisfied that he's enjoying the show you squeeze out yet more lotion and start massaging it over your tummy and down over your hips, bending over so Van has a perfect view of your ass. You hear the bed creak as he changes position again and this time he doesn't stay quiet.
"Fucking 'ell Y/N, what are ya trying to do to me, eh?"
You straighten up immediately, turning around to face him in all your naked glory, your skin flushed and deliciously dewy from your skin-care routine, a look of pure innocence on your face.
"What do you mean? I'm just getting ready."
"Oh, come off it. You're deliberately trying to turn me on aren't ya?"
He's sitting up in bed now, the covers draped low over his hips, his hair all mussed and a mischievous smile gracing his lips. A quick glance down clearly shows the bed-sheets tented in his lap and you let your eyes linger there purposefully to show that you've noticed.
"Turn you on? I'm just moisturising. It's part of my daily routine. It's not my fault literally everything gives you a hard-on is it?"
You bite back amusement, managing to maintain your demure expression as Van narrows his eyes at you. "You're telling me you're not trying to tease me right now? I don't believe you."
"Honestly I'm not," you lie, turning away from him and reaching for your silk robe from the back of the dressing table chair, shrugging it on but not bothering to fasten it. "If I was deliberately trying to tease you, you wouldn't have to ask if I was. You'd know about it for sure."
You hesitate, hoping your plan's going to work, titivating your hair in the mirror whilst you wait. It's quiet and you wonder whether Van's going to take the bait, but he does as predicted, and your pulse quickens in anticipation of your next move.
"What's that supposed to mean then, huh?"
You turn to face him, slowly, perching on the edge of the dressing table and leaning casually back propped on your hands, cocking your head back.
"If I was really trying to tease you you'd have lost the challenge already."
"Is that so?"
There's a flicker of something in Van's eyes, a fiery determination. He's so sure he's going to win this but he really doesn't appreciate the fact that you're not going to make things very easy for him. In fact you're prepared to play dirty. Very dirty.
"Uh-huh," you smile, letting your robe fall open fully. "You wouldn't be able to help yourself."
You spread your legs a little but not enough to be obvious. Not yet.
Nevertheless Van's gaze drops down immediately between your thighs and you wonder if he can see how aroused you are. The wild thoughts that have been running through your head all morning have definitely been firing you up and you can feel wetness coating your inner thighs, a steady pulse stirring you through.
"Sounds like a challenge to me," Van says, his voice low. His finally drags his eyes upwards again to meet yours and they're simmering with heat. It's intoxicating, the way that he looks at you with all that hunger. You can feel your confidence swelling and your inhibitions falling away. It's time to push the boundaries now and really tempt him to break his control.
"Maybe it is..."
"Well go on then... challenge accepted."
You reach down to grasp the handle of your dressing table drawer, sliding it open and feeling around inside for a specific object. You maintain eye contact with Van as your fingers alight on what you were looking for, ramping up the anticipation as you hesitate for a moment. His tongue darts out to swipe over his lower lip and he shifts again where he sits but he stays quiet, waiting, his face a mask of curiosity.
"I have a little surprise for you..."
Your heart's pounding now, matching the throbbing pulse between your legs. You curl your fingers around one of your new purchases, taking a deep breath before you slowly withdraw your hand, finally revealing your seductive plan to Van.
"Fucking 'ell," he breathes, eyes bugging out of his head, mouth falling open in surprise as he watches you in wonderment, the sultry temptress, extending your tongue to lick at the shaft of the large, thick vibrator that you're holding. "When did ya buy that?"
"Oh I just ordered it the other day when I was bored," you say nonchalantly, spreading your legs even wider. "Was missing your cock, so I thought that this might help..."
You place the tip of the toy on your lips, suckling gently on the end, teasing him.
He swallows, hard, his eyes pooling with heat, his voice raspy as he speaks. "And... does it?"
You shrug. "I dunno... shall we find out?"
You can hardly believe what you're doing, putting on a show for Van like this. You've touched yourself in front of him before but always when you've been in bed, exploring your own and each other's bodies together. Now it's just you, totally exposed and in the spotlight with him as the captive audience. If you'd realised how powerful it would make you feel though you'd have done this a long time ago. You can feel the adoration and desire radiating off of him as he looks on eagerly, not quite believing his eyes.
You flick the switch on the base of the vibrator to a gentle hum as Van watches on, bringing it down between your spread legs and brushing the tip lightly over your clit. A small sigh escapes you and you press it harder against your skin, a shiver coursing through you. "Mmm..."
"You're not playing fair."
Van's voice is thick and choked, his eyes glazing with lust as he watches you lower the toy to your entrance, running it over your folds, coating it in the juices of your arousal.
"Want me to stop?" You ask, a sly grin on your lips which pull into a small O as you work the toy over your sensitive nub again, your slickness enhancing the feeling.
"No... no... don't stop," Van blurts, his face flushing as he squirms on the bed, the bedsheets falling away from his erect cock which looks temptingly hard, just begging for attention. You fix your eyes on it, making a show of licking your lips.
"Feels so good," you murmur breathily, your inhibitions melting away. "I really wish it was you though... it doesn't feel as good as you do."
You run the vibrator against your slit before starting to push the tip inside you. It's so much bigger than your previous purchase which is a small, discreet, slim model that keeps you company whilst Van's on tour. You'd been too embarrassed in the shop to go for anything more daring. In contrast this one is long and thick and much more life-like, and you're already anticipating how good it's going to feel when it stretches you out.
"I wish it was me too," Van whines. "God I wanna fuck you so bad right now. You wouldn't believe how much."
"Too bad you can't though, huh?" You taunt, your arousal growing by the second, the power you hold over Van at that moment like a hit of the most addictive drug.
You start to push the toy further inside you, taking your time, watching Van's reactions, the way his eyes blaze hungrily and his hands fist at the bedsheets. His bottom lip's pulled in between his teeth, bitten in frustration. A low groan leaves his throat.
"Fuck..." you breathe, long and drawn out as the vibrator moves deeper inside you, your walls fluttering around it as it slides against your slickness. The vibrations pulse through you, intensifying the sensation of fullness. You allow yourself a moment to compose yourself, leaning back further on the dresser, spreading your legs as wide as they'll go.
"You really wanna see this?"
His reply is immediate, words spilling from him quickly. “Yeah, show me... wanna see you... please."
And it's the 'please' that really gets to you, travelling straight to your core, the way he says it, the neediness in his voice. He's in absolute awe of you, wrecked before you've even touched him. And god, how you want to touch him. You want to tear him apart with your bare hands and then piece him back together again, tease him until he's begging with tears in his pretty eyes.
"Please babe..."
So you grant him his wish, pulling the vibrator back and driving it inside you again, slow at first, over and over, moaning loudly as it catches a delicious spot deep inside you at every downward thrust. You try to keep your eyes on Van's but you can feel them rolling back involuntarily, fluttering shut as waves of pleasure make you clench around it.
You just fuck yourself even harder, deep enough that you can't control the whimpers falling from your lips, your hips rocking back and forth. You're almost lost in the moment but then you hear Van groaning softly and your eyes snap open to catch his hand straying towards his dick, his body shuddering as his fingertips brush over the head.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
The words burst from you, sharp and harsh, shocking even you. Van's mouth falls agape but he doesn't stop, not right away, tentative fingers wrapping around his dick, desperate for some relief. You're sure you've broken his will and you immediately stop what you're doing, withdrawing the vibrator, already missing the sensation.
"I'm sorry babe... I'm sorry. Don't stop, please don't stop. I'll be good..."
His voice is strained and gruff, breathless, his eyes dark and blown. It's taking him all his willpower and restraint not to forego the challenge but he'd rather torture himself by watching you get yourself off. Just as suspected your denial is his sweetest torment... and in turn his obedience is your greatest turn on.
"Good boy," you purr and you swear you practically see his soul leave his body at those two words.
He moves his hand away quickly, his fingers flexing needily, grasping again uselessly at the sheets. His neglected cock stands rigid and stiff, the flushed tip weeping pre-cum. You lick your lips again, imagining positioning yourself over him and sliding down on it, how good it would feel to fuck yourself hard on him but you resist, knowing the longer you hold off the more satisfying the reward will be for both of you.
So you resume your sleazy show for Van, propping one foot on the back of the dressing table chair to afford him a better view as you tease your entrance with the vibrator before inching it inside you once again. You've ramped up the vibrations this time and it makes you tremble as you hold it in place, locating your g spot and applying more pressure until you feel the waves of pleasure start to swell.
"Oh Van," you moan, knowing how he loves to hear you call his name in the throes of passion even though he's not the cause of it this time.
"Baby... fuck... you look so good. Make yourself come, please... I really wanna see you come."
You tip your head back, your free hand rising up to tug at your stiffened nipples. You slide the toy fully out, feeling the wetness trickling down your inner thighs, using your slick to slide the tip over your clit in tight strokes that make your whole body quake. You're so close.
You force your eyes open to look at Van, loving the yearning etched on his face and the fire in his eyes, the way his hips are bucking upwards like he's imagining driving his cock inside you. He looks so good like this, but all you can think is how much better he'd look if he was cuffed to the bed, helpless and vulnerable and needy whilst you edged him relentlessly until he was a ruined, gorgeous mess. Your usually self-assured, in-control boyfriend, fucked out and desperate and begging for his release.
The wicked thoughts just push you closer to the brink of your own high and you whimper and tremble as your hips snap up harshly to meet the source of your pleasure. You're lost now, a desperate goal to reach your climax eroding all other thoughts.
"I'm gonna come!" You announce, fixing your eyes on Van's, soaking up the need in his as he watches you start to fall apart, twitching and writhing against the dresser. It feels good and you let that fact show, your breathy moans filling the room as the swells of your orgasm begin to ripple through you.
"Oh god... oh fuck... feels so good," you moan, dragging it out even when the waves start to subside, not wanting to lose Van's undivided attention.
Not that you need to worry. He sits there transfixed, leaning back against the headboard, his eyes glazed and his skin flushed, trying to rein in his desire. Small beads of perspiration adorn his bare chest and his forehead, giving him a lustrous sheen, his hair sticking to his forehead. He's so tightly wound he looks like a bomb that's ready to explode.
Perfect.
You sigh deeply, leaning back against the furniture for a moment to catch your breath, your chest rising and falling deeply, loving the fact that your normally talkative boyfriend has been rendered speechless by your display. You suppose you should feel sated but in truth you feel like you're only just warming up, your body and your mind revving up for the main event.
You watch Van squirm, the desire so thick running through his veins that he doesn't know quite what to do with himself.
"Told you didn't I? That you'd know if I meant to tease you?"
You let a smirk dance on your lips, teasing, knowing. It's a question you don't expect an answer to but he gives one anyway, still caught under your spell.
"S'not fair you know... you winding me up like this."
"Didn't hear you complaining when you were begging me not to stop."
You raise an eyebrow playfully, your smile widening into a cheeky grin as you toss the vibrator down carelessly on to the bed next to him, grasping the edges of your robe and finally covering up your body, withdrawing from Van whilst he's still teetering on the edge of control. It's all about timing now and you can't linger too long. You don't want to give him chance to cool off too much and lose that sense of needing you. You quickly step towards the bedroom doorway.
"Hold on... where ya going?"
Van calls after you and you pause in your tracks, swivelling around to face him, taking in his dazed expression. "Oh I've got loads to do today, I'm making my mum a cake, then I've got to ring round and see who's coming to Benji's party. Might clear out the garage after lunch..."
You tick off the jobs on your fingers, purposefully calm and collected, not like you've just put on a show that would make a porn star blush. Van looks on disbelievingly.
"What? After that? You're just going to go off and do chores? But what about..." he pauses, pulling the covers up over his lap, covering his erection. "What about me?"
You laugh then, shaking your head, letting your smugness show, delighted with yourself. "What about you? Thought you said this'd be easy?"
"B.... B... but..."
You don't let him finish, turning on your heel and heading for the door, firing a suggestion over your shoulder as your parting shot. "Another cold shower maybe?"

Starting and Building Your Kawaii Wardrobe – Where to Shop, DIY's, and more!
Originally posted to www.onlyfunthings.org on January 04, 2019
Tumblr media
Ciao lovelies! In the spirit of the New Year, I know some of you may have a New Year’s resolution to “Try new things” or “dress in cute fashion”, or something like it! Maybe your New Year’s Resolution is to try out dressing in kawaii inspired fashion! Maybe you already dress in kawaii fashion but are always looking to expand your wardrobe! Well, today’s post can help, because today we are talking about how to start and build a kawaii wardrobe! I’m going to be giving my shopping tips, links to plenty of DIYs, and more that can help you in your kawaii fashion journey! Let’s go!
Today I’ll be talking about general “Kawaii-Inspired” fashion, not one specific style of Kawaii fashion.
Finding Kawaii Inspired Clothing!
-          If you’re on a budget, my recommendation is to shop in Thrift Stores! You can find really cute pastel sweaters at thrift stores, you can find really cute skirts and dresses, and sometimes even really nice handbags! I have found lots of items that work for a general “kawaii-alternative” fashion look in thrift stores! You really never know what you could find there. I’ve found dresses, skirts, sweaters, bags, and blouses all for really good prices, and all worked for kawaii fashion. You can even find cute home décor and sometimes even cute jewelry! Unsure where to start when it comes to thrifting or just want some tips? Check out our top 5 tips for Thrift Shopping!
-          Another great place to look for “kawaii-inspired” clothing is Hot Topic or Forever 21! You can find cute overalls/overall dresses, t-shirts, skirts, skater dresses, knee and thigh high socks, and other cute clothing! The only problem with these stores is that they can be somewhat expensive.
-          Another option for getting kawaii clothing is to make it yourself! Fabric stores like JoAnn even have patterns you can use if you don’t like drafting your own. And there are plenty of good clothing tutorials online, Yumi King’s channel has many if you search far back in her videos (a good way to do this is to order the videos from “Oldest First”).
-          If making clothes from scratch isn’t your thing, you can always modify clothing to suit your needs! We actually have some clothing modification tutorials, and I will be trying to make more this summer. Our Clothing-Mod tutorials include: Adding Cat Ears to a Hoodie, Shoe Upgrade, DIY Cutsew from a T-shirt, and DIY T-shirt into Tank Top.
Finding Kawaii Inspired Accessories!
-          You can always find kawaii looking accessories in certain shops, you just have to know where to look! Some good stores to look for kawaii accessories in are: Claires, Icing, and Hot Topic! My best advice is to always look through their clearance section! You can find really cute stuff on sale often there.
-          Another place to find cute accessories is in the kid’s section of stores. This might seem weird at first, but kid’s necklaces can be altered into cute bracelets, and you can use charms and such from kid’s jewelry to make into earrings, rings, and brooches.
-          Another great place to find cute accessories is Etsy! There are lots of stores on Etsy that sell cute handmade accessories! Same with Storenvy. The only downside to searching these places for cute handmade jewelry is the higher prices, but you are supporting small businesses, so I say it’s worth it!
-          Lastly, you can also make your own kawaii jewelry! Kawaii charms and other jewelry findings can be bought rather cheaply in lots from Etsy or Aliexpress, and you can make yourself a whole collection of cute accessories! We also have some accessories DIY’s including: How to makeyour own Choker, Chokers level 2, How to make a bag from a dishtowel, …  (To see all our DIY’s, check out our DIY tag!)
Starting and building a kawaii themed wardrobe isn’t hard and doesn’t have to cost a lot if you just know where to look and use a little ingenuity! Happy New Year, and I wish you the best of luck in all your kawaii clothing endeavors this year!
Thank you for reading, remember to love yourself, stay awesome, and I'll see you in our next post!

Hermès Reselling: Irrational Investing or Fashion Flipping?
Tumblr media
There is no denying the appeal of Hermès purses. However, some people feel that they are unaffordable due to the exclusivity and exorbitant retail costs. This supports a robust resale market where astute people profit from owning Hermès items.
But is becoming an Hermès reseller a guaranteed path to riches, or a gamble fraught with risk? Let's delve into the world of Hermès resale to see if the profit margins justify the effort.
Remember that you can become an Hermès reseller and sell or buy your original Hermès handbags on Resellers Connector without commissions.
The Hermès Resale Landscape: A Seller's Paradise?
Hermès's controlled distribution strategy creates a constant demand that outstrips supply. This scarcity translates to high resale values for certain Birkin and Kelly styles, especially in exotic leathers or limited-edition colors. Resellers can potentially fetch five to seven times the retail price for these coveted bags.
However, not all Hermès items are created equal. Classic canvas Constance bags or less popular newer models might only retain their retail value, or even depreciate slightly. Understanding the specific Hermès models with strong resale potential is crucial for success.
Challenges on the Hermès Reselling Road
Building Credibility: The luxury resale market is competitive. Establishing yourself as a trustworthy seller takes time and effort. Authenticity is paramount, and potential buyers will scrutinize photos, descriptions, and your reputation before committing. Building a positive online presence through platforms like The RealReal or reputable consignment stores is essential.
Sourcing Hermès: Obtaining Hermès directly from boutiques is notoriously difficult. Sales associates often prioritize long-term clients, leaving resellers with limited options. This can lead to relying on secondary markets or auctions, which introduce risks of inauthenticity and higher competition.
The Hermès Boutique Blacklist: Hermès is known to be wary of resellers. Frequent purchases of popular models might flag you, making it even harder to acquire future inventory directly.
Time Investment: Researching, sourcing, photographing, listing, and negotiating sales takes considerable time. Factor in authentication fees, potential returns, and the time it can take to sell a specific item.
The Math of Hermès Reselling:
Let's consider a scenario. You purchase a pre-owned black Birkin bag for $10,000. After authentication fees and potential repairs, you list it for $20,000. Factoring in a selling platform's commission (typically 15-30%), your profit could be around $5,000-$7,000. This seems lucrative, but remember, it's not guaranteed. The bag might take months to sell, and there's always the risk of not finding a buyer.
Is Hermès Reselling Right for You?
Hermès reselling can be profitable, but it's not a get-rich-quick scheme. Success requires passion for luxury goods, a keen eye for trends, business acumen, and significant time investment.
Alternatives to Consider:
Curated Vintage: Focus on vintage luxury pieces from various brands. This offers a wider selection and potentially avoids the challenges of acquiring Hermès directly.
Freelance Personal Shopping: Utilize your fashion knowledge to help clients find the perfect Hermès pieces, either retail or pre-owned.

When it’s dark outside, and the lights are on, I can see straight into my neighbour’s house. It’s a few days before Christmas, and she appears to be performing a mini Broadway show – in her pyjamas. In front of a tastefully decorated tree, she squeals ‘It’s tiiiiiiimmmeee!!!!’ as she drops to the floor on her knees, spreads jazz hands, and wiggles her chest. Her smile is a dazzling white, her honey-coloured hair sits in bouncy waves. Behind her, three young girls, in matching nightwear, twirl with giant candy sticks.
One day, I pick up binoculars. For hours, I observe this picture-perfect mother, her strong-jawed husband and their five children, as they eat, read, sing and dance. My neighbour opens her curtains a little wider – she wants me to watch her. Soon she starts showing me products she uses so that, I too, can purchase this fantasy existence and be just like her.
I don’t spy on my neighbours. (I would be arrested.) But I’ve spent hours doing a completely legal equivalent: trailing fellow mothers online. Madison Fisher provides footage of everything, from the monumental (the birth of her twins) to the mundane (meal prep), to millions of followers on YouTube and Instagram. She is one of thousands of mothers on social media – dubbed ‘momfluencers’ – who open up their lives for my consumption.
Instagram gained popularity as a clever way to add filters to your spring break photos. When sponsored posts were launched, following the company’s sale to Facebook in 2012, it transformed into something else entirely: a giant shopping mall. In 2021, 3.8 million Instagram posts were marked worldwide with the hashtag #ad, a 27 per cent jump from the year before. Instagram runs on sex, for sure: scantily clad women sell lipstick, handbags and dietary supplements. It also runs on what happens nine months later: babies.

What is Black Friday? Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving in the United States, traditionally marking the start of the holiday shopping season.
