Here are 81 of my favorite albums of 2024 If you noticed the lack of hip hop albums on here, that's because i already posted a separate list for hip hop which you can find here if you're interested. Chart with album titles included I probably listened to the Chelsea Wolfe album more than anything else here but the cure album was such a pleasant surprise for me that I had to put it as number 1. I thought it was a great year for music overall though. I'm really happy with the first few rows on here and those are for sure the albums i'd recommend the most, even though i think everything on here is worth checking out. Headcanons

Mostly listens to like, rock music and sad boy indie music. Every song on Zeldas playlist is in his liked songs.

(I saw someone draw him in a shirt that said 'Mithril Maiden' on it which i assume is the like, in-universe version of Iron Maiden and it is his favorite band)

Enjoys to sew and embroider. Also made about a hundred thousand of those little woven friendship bracelets after Kristen taught him some designs.

All of his stuff is covered in stickers, patches, and pins.

Transmasc Demiboy & Bisexual

He's been gauging his ears since the 7th grade (theyre at a 12mm) and he got his septum peirced in the 8th grade. He gets a vertical labret when they're in Leviathan.

In the Thistlespring tree, way up in the branches, Gorgug has a hammok tied up and a small table built onto the tree. During summer break, he can spend full days up in the hammok listening to music and drawing or making/tinkering with something.

Replaced his shoelaces with those fancy stretchy ones so he can slip his shoes on and off easier.

Farsighted

Gorgugs sketchbook and journal are one book, so people dont often see his drawings. He doesnt carry the book around with him, in exclusively lives in the shoebox under his bed, along with a small collection of cassette tapes, condoms (his parents insisted) a lighter, some cool heart-shaped pebbles Zelda gave him, and the last of the duskmoss from the nightmare forest.

Hasnt cut his hair since 7th grade and has no intention of doing so any time soon.

The white streaks in his hair are more prominent, laced all through the front half of his hair and down through his right eyebrow.

He likes to get stoned and do yoga like, once or twice a week. It helps with mindfulness and self-grounding.

(dont tell anyone but he usually finishes his routine up with a good shower cry as a way to release that pent up anger- doing yoga helps bring those emotions to the surface in a healthy way so that he can expel them after).

Really, really likes grilled cheese and carrot sticks.

OC Interview

My questions: - When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? - If you could travel in time, where would you go and why? - What does your bed look like? (shape, size, number of pillows, stuffed animals, ...)

I have too many OCs, and too much ideas, which one could answer these... So I made a list and let a random number generator decide on two characters. We got: Ryee from sᴘᴀʀᴋs, ɢʟɪᴍᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ғʟᴀᴍᴇs and Evette from just write

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Ryee: I used to admire Nimk. My parents told me stories about him and I used to see his ship from afar. I wanted to become a sailor just like him. And at some point, Nimk himself invited me to join his crew. And now I'm part of it. Even though we lost him, I'm proud being a part of the crew.

Evette: When I was very little, I wanted to be vet or a magical girl, like many others. I think when I was around 13 years old, I begun with photography and I wished to make a living with it. After the catastrophes and the aftermath of it, my only wish for the future was to survive. It still is. But after the whole TerraNex-Mess, I started to make pics again. Dean really helped me and often he joins me too. I realized how important memories can be and with photography, I can understand my mind a bit more, even if it doesn't actually makes sense. ᵂʰʸ ᵃᵐ ᴵ ˢᵗⁱˡˡ ᵗᵃˡᵏⁱⁿᵍ

If you could travel in time, where would you go and why?

Ryee: Tough question. Our childhood was not perfect and could definitely be better. Ether, I would play out the arrivals from my friends again. I really wanna see their little faces again, when they first joined the crew. Oh boy, Lia was almost as red as her hair! But on the other side, I wanna know, if we really succeed. If the childhood of the future generations would be better than ours.

Evette: Definitely the past. I would give so much to see my parents again without just living the memory. I want to hug them again, say things, I never thought about saying back then and spend my time with them. I could try stopping them, so they won't be in Japan when the meteorites hit there.

What does your bed look like?

Ryee: I mostly sleep in my hammock on the Miststorm II. I have a blanket in there and use my arm as pillow. My hammock is right next to a wall and Stak made me a ... thing to place my hook there. A few meters away from my hammock is Koyls hammok. He rarely sleeps at night there so most times, I am save from his snoring.

Evette: My bed is made from a light brown wood. I have two blankets, one is really soft and I use it in cold nights, the other blanket is very thin and almost too small for me. I have one long pillow and one cat-snake plushie, that could be used as pillow to. Right next to my bed is a small night stand, with a few pictures (plus more pictures in the drawers, but I don't talk about these - bad memories). I have a small donkey stuffed animal and a lamp to read at the edge of my bed.

scrolling thru the dragonriders of pern tag has me blowing the dust off an old daydream of mine about bein a "wierdo" living on a beach with a bunch of fire lizards. What were/would be Magritte and RAF’s favorite date, if they ever really went on dates?

You know, I've been trying to think on this all night and...They haven't really...been on formal dates LOL unless you count any time they leave the house together as being a date.

To be honest, their whole year on Cortes Island (after the uh...first two harrowing weeks) is the first major thing they've done together--just the two of them--that they'll always recall very fondly. Every consequent trip back to the island then after is kinda motivated largely by the nostalgia of that first trip, and never fails to bring them humble comforts <3

The little ice cream shop on Smelt bay that's "Open from Sunrise to Sunset", jumping off the big ol' rock formation in the middle of of the inland freshwater lake. Hunting for the strangest nic-nacs in Squirrel Cove's trading post... Hot summer days spent snuggled in the hammok on the porch, under the shade of grapevines, wearing only beach-ready clothing, eating watermelon and peaches... Days and evenings filled with music, and not a care in the world.

Here's 100 of the albums from 2024 that i''ve enjoyed the most: 50 hip hop records, and 50 albums in other genres. There's still a ton of stuff I haven't gotten to yet or need to revisit, but i'm feeling pretty good about this and don't think too much would change aside from the order. Insane year for music overall, and surely there will still be some big releases in the next two months. Biggest surprise for me was definitely The Cure making a comeback after almost two decades and putting out their best album since Wish. I'm also convinced that Robert Smith is an actual vampire. he still sounds great after all this time. Charts with album titles included Again, i'm sure there's plenty of stuff that has gone under the radar for me so as always i'm open to recommendations. Let me know what your favorite records are, i'd genuinely like to know.
