Headcanon that Roshan only ever went easy on one person during Mario Kart - Tremaine. And this was before they started dating because Roshan figured Tremaine wouldn't want to date him if he was ruthless to him during the game. After they started dating (both times), Roshan treated Tremaine like every other player because he already won him over.
Tremaine: You were nicer to me in Mario Kart before we started dating.
Roshan: Yeah, because I wanted you to date me. Figured you wouldn't be interested if I kept blue-shelling you.
Tremaine: ... That is actually kinda sweet
Hammie: ...You used Mario Kart to flirt with Tremaine??
Asher: You used our training sessions to get Tremaine to fall in love with you??
This may or may not be from a fic i'm writing

I finished to most of the Spotify album and both LMM and Davis talked about the casting and some other things.
Both agreed that the story could really only work through a new lens if the cast were largely women otherwise it would just be a regurgitation of the film/book.
Jasmine Cephas Jones and Amber Gray were essentially the first two Warrior members that they already knew that they wanted.
LMM said that Jazzy has a natural cool persona and is actually from Brooklyn and she has a lot of range with her voice.
Davis said that Amber essentially shaped Ajax because of how gruff her voice is and they both said that it was a nice contrast to Jasmine having a more laid-back kind of voice.
Julia Harriman was pretty much chosen because her range is incredible just like Jones so the two would harmonize incredibly well together
I didn't know this, but according to Lin, Kenita Miller was actually the original Eliza Hamilton during the off stage version and she recently won like a award for her recent Broadway show, so the two wanted her to play Cocohise.
Anessa Folds what's next and she essentially was mentored by lmm and became one of the newer additions to his improv group freestyle Love supreme.
Eisa thought that she had a powerful voice and could command the others because of soulful her voice is.
Pippa basically shaped the way Fox would be developed because of how strong of a performer she is which encourage both Davis and Miranda to get creative when rewriting Fox.
Sasha Hushings was picked because not only is she incredibly energetic and a flower child, but she is a professional stepper which influenced Davis want her as cowgirl.
Gizel Jimenez was already a part of a Davis play prior to working with LMM on tick tick boom and she sort of stuck out as a prodigy to both of them so they thought that she would fit as the Renaissance woman of the Warriors.
Also, interesting tidbit to show just how versatile Anessa is as a performer.
Originally, in demo track she played both Cyrus and Cleon before they sent it to Lauryn Hill

Green Lantern (1990) #55 || Underworld Unleashed: Abyss - Hell's Sentinel (1995) #1
I've often written about Alan Scott's Golden Age gaycoding, how he reads as gay from his earliest appearances, how his 1940s appearances are a treasure trove of subtext -- but there's no denying Alan's Sentinel era plays an equally pivotal role in the portrayal of his (once implied, now confirmed) sexuality over the course of his many years of publication.
The 1990s were a decade of change for Alan Scott. With his storyline in Green Lantern Corps Quarterly (1993), he'd regained his youth but consequently found himself rejected by his friends in the JSA, by his wife (it's here that Molly would start questioning the reality of their marriage), and brimming with anger. He'd soon take up the moniker of Sentinel to differentiate himself from the last Green Lantern still standing and he'd end up haunted by the deaths of his friends during Zero Hour: Crisis in Time (1994), soon fighting accusations of not being a 'real man' for having outlived them (as per Showcase 1995 #1).
Anger was the main driving force behind Sentinel but Alan Scott had always been an angry man, the most remarkable aspect of this era was a sudden sense of boldness -- an almost transgressive one, at that -- that Alan had never carried himself with before. In many ways, being young again had brought back his confidence (many might recall the "young man's body with a young man's needs" line from the aforementioned GLCQ arc) but it had also brought back the homoeroticism of those very early stories with a much sharper, much more tangible edge in what was in many ways a more permissive landscape. Alan's interactions with the personification of Chaos (shown as male but dressed in drag) in The Book of Fate (1997) #2 are a good example of the way Alan had carried himself throughout the '90s.
However, and more to the point of this little segue, the gaycoding of the Sentinel era is fundamentally legitimized by one simple fact: it wasn't just gay audiences who were catching on to what was going on with Alan Scott (and had been for a long time), it was gay creators as well.
The above images are undoubtedly homoerotic, the fact that they were drawn by gay artists Craig Hamilton and Phil Jimenez respectively only underlines this undeniable aspect. Both in and out of universe, it's a striking portrayal of gay sexuality that is simply not seen in today's sanitized gay stories -- no matter how explicit of a confirmation we get nowadays, it's nothing close to what had gone unsaid a few decades ago.

“There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.” -Laurell K. Hamilton
The beautiful woman’s warmth radiated off her body, nestled in the Warren’s arms as she slept. When she stirred, he leaned in to place tender kisses on her neck. “Are you waking up, now?” he asked, murmuring against her soft skin.
She groaned playfully in protest but turned around to face him, her large eyes fluttering open. Warren’s smile disappeared almost instantly. Julieta Jimenez, the woman who haunted him day in and day out, was staring up at him. “Amor, what’s wrong?” she asked him, her voice though soft, sent chills down his spine.
He let go of her immediately, sitting up to remove himself from the bed. He climbed out frantically, taking a step back and rubbing at his eyes. This couldn’t be real.
“Amor, stop,” Julieta ordered, her shrill voice now cold and demanding as she sat up, allowing the duvet to slip from her slender frame.
Warren shook her head. “Where is she? What did you do to her?” he asked, his voice breaking as he searched the room, trying to find the woman he had gone to bed with.
Anger rippled across Julieta’s face, grabbing her robe after slipping out of bed. She tied it and closed the distance between the two. “Who?” she asked, her voice sharp. Her eyes narrowed to slits, clasping her hand around Warren’s neck and pulling his face down to hers.
How was she this strong? Warren stared down at Julieta, his hands attempting to remove hers from his neck but failing miserably. He struggled to breathe, falling to his knees before the woman.
Before his very eyes, he saw as her fingers turned into chains, wrapping around his neck and anchoring him down. He fell to all fours as everything began to fade to black.
“You’re mine and I’ll never let you go,” Julieta said in a deadly whisper, ushering the words into Warren’s ear as he faded into nothing.
Warren’s breathing was erratic when he woke up, his hand grabbing at his aching chest. Covered in cold sweat and unable to catch his breath, Warren removed himself from his bed. He paced the dark room, placing his hands in a clasp behind his head as he closed his eyes. “Fuck,” he breathed out, attempting to slow down the anxiety left in his chest.
It took half an hour for him to calm down but the ache was still there. Staring at his phone, he contemplated whether he should send the text he had written.
Hey, I miss you. I just wanted to tell you that.
Shaking his head, he deleted the text and tossed his phone onto the patio table. The sun was rising, filling the sky with beautiful shades of oranges and pinks but Warren couldn’t enjoy the view.
His mind was still reeling, his chest aching. He just didn’t know how he’d ever be able to escape the nightmares that haunted him. It was the lies he had to tell, the love he had to fake, the physical intimacy he had to endure…the trauma he harbored in his soul, it was all too much. It was pulling him under, deeper underwater with every passing day. He couldn’t reach out for help knowing all he would do is drown them too. Warren was utterly alone.

Twins Gut Out Crazy Win In Chicago!
Twins 7 White Sox 3 W-Pagan (1-0) L-Colome (0-1)
The Chicago White Sox have caught fire with three straight wins after a horrible start. The Sox looked for the sweep on a beautiful day in Chicago today. The Sox bats got to work in the third as Seby Zavala drew a lead-off walk. With two outs, Eloy Jimenez smoked a Pablo Lopez sweeper out to left-center for a two-run homer. This put the Sox up by a pair of runs after three innings of play. Pablo Lopez and Lucas Giolito were dueling it out until the Twins struck in the sixth. Carlos Correa lined a Lucas Giolito slider out to left for a solo homer. Minnesota pulled within a run after six frames. Both starters got through seven soild innings and it was up to the bullpens today. The Twins rallied again in the eighth as Byron Buxton smashed a Reynaldo Lopez slider out to left for a game-tying solo homer. Jhoan Duran got in and out of trouble in the eighth as we headed into the final inning. Kendall Gravemen and Jorge Lopez put up zeroes in the ninth and extra innings were needed. Jimmy Lambert got out of a jam in the tenth and the Twins were held scoreless with the ghost runner. Billy Hamilton was the ghost runner in the tenth and Eloy Jimenez was intentionally walked. Ryan Jeffers could not handle a Brock Stewart slider for a passed ball, which moved up both runners. Oddly enough, Tim Anderson struck out and Luis Robert was walked to load up the bases. Brock Stewart struck out the side and an eleventh inning was needed. Aaron Bummer struck out the side in the eleventh and Emilio Pagan put up a zero to extend the game. The Twins finally broke through in the twelfth as Jose Miranda hit a chopper to short that Tim Anderson couldn’t handle. Trevor Larnach scored on the play to put the Twins up by a run. Joey Gallo drew a walk and Ryan Jeffers couldn’t move up the runners with a bunt. Nick Gordon followed with a run-scoring double to center and the Twins had a 4-2 lead. Max Kepler drew a walk to load up the bases and Carlos Correa knocked in a run with a walk. With two outs, Jorge Polanco drove in a pair with a single to center and the Twins lead grew to five. Jovani Moran came on and Eloy Jimenez hit a run-scoring single to right to inch Chicago within four. Tim Anderson hit into a double play and Luis Robert struck out swinging to end the game. The Twins somehow gutted out a crazy win in Chicago today.
-Final Thoughts- Pablo Lopez rebounded after two bad starts in cold weather. He threw seven solid innings and allowed two runs on six hits with a walk and eight strikeouts. Jhoan Duran walked two and got out of it in the eighth and Jorge Lopez did the same in the ninth. Brock Stewart loaded the bases then struck out the side in the tenth and Emilio Pagan had a clean eleventh. Jovani Moran gave up a run with the ghost runner, but closed the door in the twelfth. The Twins scattered five hits on the day and the offense needs to wake up. They hit 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position and left ten men on base. The Twins will now head to Cleveland to play the scuffling Indians. Bailey Ober will face Peyton Battenfield in the series opener tomorrow night.

go gentle (wise men at their end know dark is right)
by frozenwisteria
Captain James Flint is not a disbeliever in the power of what lives in the dark, what possibility and what great, consuming love waits idle while the lightness of civilization carries on with their hate and their greed and their spite. He waits for the day the darkness returns, where the world can once again be free. It feels like he has been waiting forever, fighting forever, and he is nearly ready to give up in the aftermath of a terrible sea storm on silent, windless waters. That is, until the waves return and with them a Scarborough that is like no ship or crew Flint has even seen, and certainly not that of the notorious and ruthless Captain Blackbeard who greets him in summer linens and a pink, floral robe.

Sorry for not answering anything yet lol I need to let it marinate in my brain before I think of a response
In the meantime do you have any random headcanons for warcross characters
Like anything
no problem!
hmmm
-When Hideo became more famous and rich, he would often run into Roshan at their fancy rich ppl events. Hideo was secretly proud to see Roshan becoming one of the top Warcross players, and was happy that Emika was chosen by Asher to be on the Phoenix riders because he knew Roshan would look out for her.
-Hammie went on to professionally compete in chess matches after Wildcard, and quickly became a top player. Asher cheers her on at every match.
-Speaking of Asher, he taught himself how to do a variety of hobbies, including knitting, crocheting, drawing, etc. Maybe throw an instrument in there or two. He's a very talented guy.
-Emika goes back to New York to find her friend, Keira, and buys her an apartment. They're still good friends.
-During one of their bounty hunter/hacker/criminal adventures, Tremaine and Jesse had to fight a robot that looked similar to a Star Wars droid. They decided to never speak of it again (after the mind control plot, the two were so done with genius inventors).
