i'm almost done with episode 2, and i already completely regret starting Mask Girl. i fell head over heels in love with Mo-mi immediately.

she's so GIRLY POP! i relate so hard to her delusional crush on her boss, and her keeping her passion an online secret because no one irl would get her the way the internet does. i also stupidly let "Handsome Monk" get my hopes up, and thought he was a genuinely nice guy she could have a real romance with, especially after the disaster tornado that was Mr. Park. the way he spoke about her beauty — claiming that he was from the US and telling her that she fit the beauty standard here more — all made sense to me, because that's genuinely how i think about her. while Mo-mi is obviously supposed to be an "ugly" character, i think her face is genuinely beautiful in a high fashion, Vogue kind of way, and all of the characters in this show just aren't the girls that get it!! it has become clear to me, though, that the show creators did not intend for me to find her face as beautiful, especially since i looked up the actress and discovered that she actually has an entirely diffrent, "prettier" face irl.

so obviously Hamdsome Monk is no longer an option, and i want Mo-mi to stay far far away from Mr.Park, i thought Ju Ohnam might be our real prince. AND I WAS IMMEDIATELY PROVEN HORRIBLY WRONG! i know that i shouldn't have hoped for even a second that my lovely angel Mo-mi would end up with that disgusting incel porn addict weeaboo slime monster, but i was DESPERATE 😭 i though this might be a circumstance of the very DCOM cliche of "loser girl chases popular guys just to realize that her real male lead was the loser boy who was right beside her the whole time", but no, of course not! i guess the way he accepted her with her true face, comforted her when she needed support, daydrempt of professing his love to her (albiet, the daydream ended in a public blowjob), and KILLED A MAN AND HID THE BODY FOR HER made me forget about the flaming hot red flag that is the creepy ass sex doll he keeps in his house apartment and pretends is his Japanese girlfriend (?)

before i started watching Ep2 i looked up the ending, because i could already tell that my precious Mo-mi was a character doomed by the narrative, and discovered that she fucking dies in the end, GREAT! usually if i'm not in the mood to be traumatized by a K-drama, i just won't watch it, but atp i was already too attached to Kim Mo-mi to only get to see her in one episode. again, i regret my decision to keep watching this show as i lay in bed writing this to procrastinate getting through the rest of the rape scene. in my research, i did accidentally find out that Mo-mi murders Ohnam after this tho so i guess that will make me feel slightly better.

moral of the story: i might write Mask Girl fanfiction where Handsome Monk is actually a nice person and Mo-mi gets to be the main character in a cute, silly, stupid rom-com, instead of the cinematic tragedy that is Mask Girl.

💛In general, how in control of their emotions is your OC? Do they have a good hold on them or do their emotions control them, not the other way around? What do you think is the reason behind this and is your OC ever concerned about their lack of or good control?

He is desperate to be in control of his emotions because as a scourge aasimar extreme emotions can lead to an actual dangerous situation. To do that he avoids contact with people and just does his job tending to the dead. How good he is at controlling emotions in actual stressful situations is I think a little more complicated. He just puts on a stoic face but that eventually will crack wide open and harm will be caused.

So yeah in short he is terrified of any extreme emotions because he's a walking time bomb. So he's controlled by them.

🌀 Where is your OC from? Where were they born? Do they still live there, if not why did they move? If they still live in the area how has it changed since their childhood? How many places has your OC lived in and where has been their favourite?

He does no longer live at home. He was born and grew up in a city (unnamed as of yet because the setting he was made for never got off the ground) where once you come of age you get a prophecy of your future. Usually it's just regular stuff like you'll have this many kids or you'll find a hamdsome spouse etc. But for him the prophecy foretold that he'd one day be standing in the streets of the city, covered in blood and surrounded by dead people.

He then left the city off his own accord which his older brother was not happy with but that is besides the point. He was on the road for a while I'd imagine but eventually people tended to find out about the prophecy and he'd leavde again. His favorite place to live would probably be his most recent home in a temple of the raven queen. It's quiet and he can avoid people for the most part.

Valley:

🌹 How easy is it for them to connect with others and make friends? On the flip side how easy is it for them to make an enemy of someone? Are they the kind of person who hangs around the food table at a party and never talks to anyone or are they the type who can talk to anyone?

Funnily enough, Valley was raised aside from the rest of the world in a way due to being raised in the forest/mountains by her coven, so the campaign is the first time she's been surrounded by "others". If you put aside her very haggy sense of humour, I think she's actually connecting well with others! She's genuinely kind/ willing to help others, so if you get past the fact she looks quite intimidating, she connect relatively easy. Especially if you're a funny weirdo or a fun / cute lady-

They are the one who made the food at the party and definitely hang around the table to make sure everyone is eating/enjoying the food, but I think she'd definitely talk to the people she likes; she wouldn't bother pretending to enjoy the party if she doesn't tho, or if she doesn't like you.

🧡 Who is your OC’s favourite person? Why is this person the top of their list and have they actually met them (an idol or rolemodel or celeb can be someone’s favourite after all!).

Her favourite is definitely her dad! She loves all her haggy parents, but her dad is still her favourite person. He's always been extremely quiet, but willing to let Valley hang around him when he works or show her things. She also like the rare occasion he speaks because it feels quite cryptic and doesn't make sense on the moment. She also enjoy his fashion sense and keep trying to get people to wear facial veils like he does- Her second favourite is her hoarding mum. She finds her fun and she likes to collect trash when she can to gift it to her-

Niquis:

💜 Music or Silence? Swords or Spells? Cities or Nature?

Definitely music! She really likes it (she can't sing to save her life, but in modern AU she actually plays the drums). She is a warlock, so spells for the win, though she finds swords cool! Just not for her. And depends of the city, but definitely a nature girl!

🌷 In what ways would your OC alter their body if they could? How would they do it using mundane means (hair dye, surgery, make-up?). What is their ideal look for themself?

So fun fact, Niquis already does that a lot since she can disguise self at will! The most common is for her to pretend to look like a goliath to look a bit more like her adoptive dads' daughter. Otherwise, she does it to annoy the party by pretending to look like their daughter.

She genuinely likes how she looks though, I don't think surgery especially would ever cross her mind! She would probably try hair dye for funsies a few times, but she also like her natural hair. She do wears nailpolish and lipstick, usually black!

Ideal look for herself is just to feel nice in her skin, which she does already!
