Trick or Treat!

Long-tail carpet sharks or bamboo sharks are paetof the Hemiscylliidae family in the Orectolobiformes order. You can find them in shallow tropical waters in the Indo-Pacific and tend not to grow any bigger than 48 inches. These babies are pretty chill with looooong tails that are longer than the rest of their bodies. Honestly, they're pretty cute imho.

This is a Speckled Carpet Shark (fancy Latin name: Hemiscyllium trispeculare) found around north and west Australia. It's a cutie.

"Don't worry the worst I'll do is probably egg a few houses that give out lame stuff like pennies and pencils!" Darla smiled. Her friend could only expect her to behave a little. People giving out lame things during Halloween were just asking to get egged in her opinion.

"You look so cool by the way! A Doctor right?" She asked, excitedly. She herself was dressed up as a genie.

he's out here in an ear headband w/ a black heart on his nose, whiskers, the crappiest thin fabric collar you can imagine, and is NOT wearing the tail bc "he would lose it". Dressed in all black tho so joke's on him, he looks seggsy as hell anyway.

The morning after Halloween truly was something like a candy-popped, wrapper-scattered daymare, wasn't it? Townsfolk would waddle from their abodes and help clean after their celebratory aftermath, but the LS&B trio could wind up with some of the reaaallly messy work, it would seem. It must have been their well-versed natures in pranking that deemed them the ideal creatures for the job in terms of clean-up, or so that's what Sally theorized as she stepped down the ledge to drop next to Lock, helping pluck him from the muck of melted chocolate and gummy eyeballs with a tug and a heave and a - WHOOP! Down they both went, right into the pile of wrappers and leaves!

Ohhh, Sally hopes she didn't send the poor little devil flying. He had horns and a tail, sure, but she felt pretty certain the kid didn't have any formative flying lessons under his belt. She fished around in the pile, panicked and worried until she found a foot! UP Lock goes, held upside-down by the now relieved Pumpkin Queen who tilted her head at him.

"If I knew you would wind up in such a sticky situation, I would have made you an elixir to help liquefy---" Her mouth closed, the image of three children tossing said elixir around trying to melt one another racing across her thoughts. "--- do you need help? I wouldn't mind lending you a hand."

He's wearing a pair of tight black leather pants, a black crop top, black lace-up combat boots and black leather fingerless gloves.

His nails are also painted black and his eyes are made-up with sparkly black eyeshadow and silver eyeliner in a 'smokey eyes' fashion, his lips shiny with a hint of glittery lipgloss.

Charlie settled in to Morgan’s cafe at his usual seat. He’d walked up to order the same drink he always got and Morgan had already put his total into the register, making him all smiles.

“Didn’t know I was that predictable. I’ll have to shake it up and get, uh, a latte or somethin’ next time.” Still, he sat with his camera bag and started sifting through photos from his early-morning shoot, a couple shots of a cute bird on a wire out there in the cold, all puffed up and irritated-looking. He liked about 4 of the 30 he took—per the usual.

She brought him his drink and he smiled up at her, and she put space between them that he was grateful for, since she ended up asking him about that. It was a fair question. Since the day he’d learned about her powers, he’d come clean about the family curse of his.

“Just like everybody else, I’m frustrated Halloween’s on a Tuesday, this year.” He picked up his coffee and had some of it, a short, pleased grunt leaving him at how good it always was. Not a burnt shot to date. His mustache, dark as his hair, wriggled as he thought, Charlie looking sheepish as he shrugged.

“You’re sweet. I’ll be okay… I can mostly get my bearing about me an hour or so in. I think a small room would…” He brought his hands up in front of him and lightly shook them, “make it worse. Normally, I get…geared up like I’m goin’ camping and drive out to this stretch of woods south of town. Not many travelers or…hikers or vagrants or anything, out that way.”

She hadn’t ever seen him change, and though she might not be, usually anybody he told (while believing he was very mentally unwell) wondered if he looked like the big bad wolves from TV, bipedal, monstrous, and slobbering with big, red eyes.

After a pause and another drink of coffee, Charlie leaned forward a little with a ghost of a smirk.

“It’s not really that impressive,” he whispered as the music died down and started a new song overhead. “Just…a big black dog, really. Means I’m a mutt—the only reason there are any black wolves is cuz of wolf-dog hybrids. …I try to not think about what that means. I think it’s just…a random draw, y’know?” Charlie smiled and leaned back again.

Morgan still knew very little about werewolves. She had only ever run into them twice during the course of her life so far. Not to mention, there were numerous types of werewolves and different species, hybrids, even tribrids to account for. From what she's been told and researched, they were the recluses of the magical community. You'd think it would be vampires, seeing as how they sleep all day and only come out at night. But, vampires are the same way in the sense that there are so many different breeds. Just when you think you've got it all figured out one minute, a new species of creature is popping out of the woodwork the next.

"There's going to be a full moon on Halloween," Morgan stated as a matter-of-fact as she gave Charlie his coffee, and sat down at the table one seat across from him.

She spoke in a low tone of voice so nobody else at the cafe would be able to hear their conversation, "Are you going to like...change at night or something like other werewolves do? Morgan asked hesitantly, "Do you need a place to stay to ride out the transformation? Because if so, my apartment does have a boiler room nobody but me and my landlord go into..."

Absolutely shattered today after going non-stop with Halloween stuff the past few days. I had so many amazing interactions with trick-or-treaters last night. It's so cool to be the adult on the other side of the door on Halloween.

Nothing beats the delight on someone's face when you hand out candy and compliment their costumes.

We ended up having somewhere in the ballpark of 175-225 visitors last night! That's wild, last year was the previous record with 75. Each year, more families are starting to jump onto celebrating Halloween here and it makes me so happy.

I'm already planning next year's goodie bags. Halloween is every day, when you're spooky and you're gay. Hope everyone in the northern hemisphere has a spooktacular night

Did he dress himself? Did someone dress him? Who knows. Mathias was told to wear something that no one would question if it got bloody. Complete with colored contacts and fake teeth. He's digging into his missed out goth phase.

WHO: @dylan-westwick WHERE: Cinematic, Showing of Scream

While Austin had seen nearly every scary movie under the sun (she found herself being a glutton for punishment more often than not, not being able to sleep by herself for days afterwards), she had to admit that the Scream franchise was one of her favorites. She'd seen the parody movie, Scary Movie, first, which was probably part of the reason she hadn't been as scared of the movie as she normally would have been. Plus, Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich helped.

"What's your favorite scary movie?" She whispered into Dylan's ear after approaching her from behind with a wicked grin and grabbing the other woman's waist playfully.
