Meet the newest addition to my tiny family. Weighing in at just over half a pound, they have my whole heart. @bobbyjonze found them in a parking lot but you’d never guess it by how friendly and ready for human companionship they are. The vet said they’re still too small to tell whether it’s a boy or a girl but I’m leaning towards the name Pepper either way, they’re already so full of spice. Half pound hand pipe 😁😁I’ve technically been working on this piece for about 4 years, been saving fumey sections for that long. Started assembling it about 3 weeks ago and spent 10 hours on it yesterday. In the last 30 seconds of the process, I hear the dreaded “tink” and seriously felt like the biggest piece of poo on the planet. That sound hit me in the soul a little. Spent the remainder of the day feeling completely defeated 😕 I woke up this morning, pulled it out of the kiln and I can’t believe it.... the claws had just shifted under the weight making the tink sound. Now that is some win the lottery type feel good shit. Half Pound Burger Bar And Grill  | Singapore Eats

Something about eating all day excites me while I’m on vacation, I get a chance to walk off what I ate by site-seeing, so that’s also a bonus and I for sure had to walk off all the food and beer I consumed at Half Pound Burger Bar And Grill, but hey, I don’t mind. Everything was worth the calories! Half Pound is obviously known for their burgers (Serious everyone raves about them.) but my husband doesn’t eat beef and I’m a pescatarian but that wasn’t a problem seeing how Half Pound has so many things to offer on the menu for everyone. Not to mention beers, drinks, coffee and wine.

Some of the dishes we tried are:

Salt And Pepper Squid- We started off great! These homemade Salt and  pepper calamari were perfectly coated and fried with super fresh squid. The tarter sauce is even homemade. Paired perfect with our wheat beer on tap.

Honey Bacon Fries- This was the first time I tried honey fries, the bacon was on the side because my husband wanted to try it as its made. Honestly they were so good! I’m sure the bacon would have given it a salty flavor to balance out the sweetness but I didn’t mind the sweetness. It was different and different isn’t always bad. Paired perfectly with the stout beer on tap

Mexican Nachos- I’m extremely picky with my Mexican food because well duh, I’m Mexican so if it’s not exactly like how my grandma made it, I’ll have a strong opinion haha. These baked nachos were bursting with flavor, they had cheese, onion, tomatoes, olives and diced jalapenos. I think they need a bit of sauce, like sour cream or avocado because baking them dried them a little bit but they still tasted amazing. Oh and I think a little more spice would be perfect but then I like everything super spicy.

Pan Seared Salmon- Perfectly cooked salmon on a bed of sweet potatoes and greens with some amazing honey mustard. It was very filling, actually all of Half Pound dishes are very big. I would totally order this again.

Vegetarian Burger-  I had to have a “burger” while at Half Pound. This one isn’t on the menu but I think they will be adding it soon, if they do be prepared because it’s huge, and it comes with fries. This burger has so many ingredients, I’ll start with the patty first. The patty is basically mashed potato with veggies it was fried perfectly, really tasty. The burger has a beet as well as beet sauce, lettuce, pineapple, tomato and onions. So there’s no lacking in flavor here. It comes with a butter sauce on the side but I didn’t need it because their was already enough beet sauce inside the burger. I liked the burger a lot but I don’t think the butter sauce or slice of beet was needed. It’s an awesome burger for someone like me who doesn’t eat meat but still likes to go to a burger bar.

Chocolate Molten Lava Cake- This cake was a perfect way to finish off our delicious food, the fruit and the vanilla ice cream paired well with the lava cake that was dripping  with warm chocolate when you cut it open. We also had some tea with our dessert since we were so full, it helped ease our full and happy stomachs.

Since they’re transitioning menus I can’t wait to come back and try more off the new menu and also try more of the beer since we love craft beer.
