In the au with the different spritefusions (Vrita, Equdan, Haleri, Tavlux) what would be the davepeta/jasperose equivalents?
Oooooooooooooooooh let me see.
Okay so in canon, the alpha session pre scratch has 4 kernels and the 6 elements thrown at them are 6 people. 5 trolls and an AI. Resulting in Arquius, Tavris, Erisol and Fefeta, all of which die in their timeline in diferent ways
Now for the diferent sprite fusion you're talking about, i used the exact same people from canon, but mixed them in a diferent order. Creating Haleri, Vrieta, Tavlux and Equdan. You can find the post about them HERE
Who most likely didn't exploded and followed Davesprite and Nanna to John's planet and survived te timeline's errasure.
Pic fo their Godtiers just for fun.
Now, Davepeta and Jasprose come from Post-Retcon, which means the 6 elements conforming the sprites are diferent this time around, forming, not only Jasprosesprite^2 and Davepetasprite^2, but also GcaTavrosprite and Arquiusprite (again).
SO! all i need to do is pick all the canon people/creatures from the Post-Retcon Sprites and mix them in a diferent way. Like this!
Giving us as a result something like this
The fussion of Davesprite and Lil Hal, ultimate self and ultimate Strider, would most likely romantically pursue canon Jade, like Davepeta did in homestuck, but more successfully. Also be an amazing sword master due to the knowledge from all timelines.
I mean, it would just be Cat-Equius, doesn't have the cool character develompent that Arquius had, but has nice guardian powers and he's not alergic to himself. Plus he's a cat like his moirail Nepeta
Oh boy, Tavrospersprite^2 has by default achieved ultimate self and is afraid of nothing, because he has knowledge of all Tavros and has learned all their lessons in a second. Will call Vriska a bitch and proceed to kiss Gamzee in one breath, to inmedialty go fight some villain and disappear like a Cheshire cat (isn't alergic to himself because he now knows it's in his head)
RosepetaSprite is a chill gal, and now has the habilities of drawing and writing, making her the ultimate autor. She's a little heartbroken about not being able to be with Kanaya or Karkat, because this timeline's Rose and Dave are dating them, but she won't let that bring her down
Ironically Rosepeta is now conected to the other three sprites. Tavros having the memories of her cat and guide, Equius being her moirail and Davar being a fussion of a copy of her father and of her doomed brother who wanted to see her again. She has some heavy back-up now.

Preliminary Round G
Propaganda under the cut (May contain major spoilers for one or more of the campaigns listed above)
Kalina - She was such a well done villain, incredibly unnerving, and so fascinating in her ties to Riz and Pok. I love her with all my heart.
Barry Nyne - Poor man, killed his family under the control of a brain slug
Em - An iron statue atop the Bethesda Fountain. She guards and protects the waters in and around New York City, a source of neutral divine magic, designed by a woman (has a womans touch), besties with Sofia
Master Ipskix - hes a dirty little freak
Primsy Coldbottle - Love her accent, love that she's both young/innocent and incredibly competent as a leader, love that she's a sassy independent woman, who doesn't need no man, even on the brink of death.
Hallariel Seacaster - A wine mom, an expert swordswoman, she cut a man's eye out of his head and he proposed on the spot. Milf.
Woman in the Moon - moon lady
The Tornado - It was such a great bit, I hope we meet the tornado properly in Junior Year
Justin Fication - Conrads best friend
Cinderella's Mice - The way "We was turned into men" was said with such horror will always like rent free in my head. Love a good existential crisis. Especially one that humorous. It's almost Lovecraftian, the way Brennan portrayed it.

So it's not just me thinking Figs new pact has something to do with Gilear right?
The saddest wet blanket of a man suddenly not only is moved out of the garage but is marrying Halerial Seacaster, AND wins a cruise?
And suddenly Fig starts getting clumsy and having food stains on her? Yoghurty behaviour imo.
I don't know, this feels like another familial bond thing for Fig. Family curse?
Sus as hell 🤣

As someone who is only familiar with klance and radiodust, those ships aren’t comparable to c//a at all. They’re not even enemies to lovers (and you could argue that c//a isn’t either since it’s more like victim x abuser to lovers)- Keith and Lance were rivals and Angel Dust and Alastor are frenemies. And when do Catra and Adora ever bicker like idiots or act like an old married couple? I stg these shippers watched a different show… I can see this for klance and radiodust, but not c//a. Makes no sense.
Yeah they'll basically compare any ship to Catradora no matter if its similar or not, I saw people compare it to lumity when it's more like Joker and Halery Quinn

You may think I'm unhinged for making yet another overanalysis of the abusive dynamic between an old man and his grandson, but frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.
Rick is the perfect example of what I mean when I say that I do believe that abusers can love their victims, but not enough or in the right way.
Rick is an abuser, I mean he constantly emotionally abuses Morty, and has completely ruined the poor boy's self-esteem (As we see in Rest and Ricklaxation) There has also been a handful of times where he physically abused Morty. The most famous (Or ig infamous) one is when he straight up PUNCHED the poor boy in Rattlesnake Ricklatica, giving the poor baby boy a black eye, and as we can assume by the other Morty clutching his head, a LOT of head pain. But this isn't the only time, he slapped Morty…twice. Once in Lawnmower Dog and once in Rick Potion #9 when Morty was having a panic attack so uh that's not exactly big fun. And he also medically abuses Morty by putting chips in Morty without Morty even knowing about it, which the poor boy surprisingly wasn't even slightly pissed off about, he just seemed surprised. My poor boy is so codependent it is literally crazy. He also manipulates Morty various times, such as the heist episode, and the Vat of Acid episode, both of these are pretty infamous and are widely known as Rick's worst acts, or at the very least the worst thing he did to Morty, and for good reason. Both of these intensely impact Morty, but we never get to see it because the writers see Rick's trauma as more valid ig. Even though all traumas have the same amount of validity, anyway, I can rant about that in another post, that is a topic for another post. Rick also isolates Morty from literally everyone else due to their adventures taking up an insane amount of Morty's time, Rick traumatizing Morty with their adventures on the regular, Rick being codependent on Morty, etc., etc., you get it.
But, I mean we all know that Rick is an abuser…or at least I hope you would (Y-you do know that…right?) Now let's talk about what I mean by abusers being able to love their victims, but not enough, or in the right way.
Now let's start by how I, personally, would define love. Love is a bond between 2 people, that can be either platonic, romantic, or familial (If you thought there was any chance I'm talking about Rick loving Morty in a romantic sense, kindly get tf off of my blog, please and thank you) that is built on mutual trust, respect, and care. The 2 people push each other out of their comfort zone, but also in a kind and gentle way, with good intentions behind it, and encourage each other to do what's best for them, and become the best version of themselves, never wanting that person to compromise themself for them. A pretty good example is Halery Quinn and Poison Ivy in Halery Quinn's adult animated show of the same name. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy don't get together romantically till the end of season 2 (Spoilers ig, but you probably already know, I mean they were EVERYWHERE, and for a good reason, good queer rep is always great). However, even before then, they still had a very healthy friendship. They were always very sweet and supportive towards each other, and always wanted the other one to be healthy, happy, and themselves, not wanting the other to change who they are for them.
But! There are 2 versions of love, the one I just described was the healthy version, but there is an unhealthy version. This one is more difficult for me to describe, but what I would consider the toxic version of love, or simply just not the right version, is the type of love where the person does genuinely care about the other person, hell they may even have a mutual bond of trust and respect, there may even be moments where their relationship seems healthy. But there is a very important difference between the toxic and the healthy kind of love. The healthy kind of love is when you truly want the best for the other person, and this love tends to be beneficial to both people involved, but the toxic kind of love instead of wanting the best for the other person, they want to stay with the person forever, and just want to do whatever will make the person stay with them. They are not above manipulating, abusing, or gaslighting the person they "love" in an attempt to get them to stay with them, and this is harmful to both people in the relationship. This type of love can fit any kind of relationship, platonic, romantic, familial, again you get it. This version of love is not healthy for either of the people involved, and stunts at least the victim's, abuser's, or both's ability to grow and change into a healthier and happier version of themselves, it is selfish and not at all healthy. Even if this version of love doesn't turn into abuse, it is unhealthy and harmful to both people at best, and incredibly codependent, toxic, abusive, and unhealthy at its worst. Leaving the abuser to be the only presence in the victim's life. It sounds a LOT like codependency and can form into it, but I believe this version can fit any kind of abusive relationship. The abuser could also trick themselves, and their victim into believing they are doing what's best for them by keeping them close, but in the end, it always does more harm than good.
And what do I mean by not enough? Now, the abuser can care about the victim more than anything, but they still do not love the person enough to be selfless and want what is best for their victim. There is always an undercurrent of selfishness in the toxic kind of love I've noticed, and that is what stops them from loving their victims enough to want their victims to become happier, healthier versions of themselves.
Now, you may have noticed that Rick and Morty's dynamic is a LOT more like the 2nd version of love, an unhealthy, toxic, mess. While some relationships can be mutually toxic, Rick and Morty's relationship definitely isn't. Rick is clearly the abuser, and the way he treats Morty varies from actually decent (like in season 7) to damn near unforgivable and irredeemable (Haha, season 4 Rick go burrrrr) But Rick has a lot of moments where he does genuinely care for Morty. Hell, he sacrifices himself for Morty in A Rickle In Time. And I could list the moments, but I mean, if you're reading this, there is a high probability you either follow my blog, where I make posts about this pretty often, or you watch Rick and Morty, which if that is the case, I do not need to explain the moments where this is clear. Or are most likely both. If you are neither of these…that's weird, it's even weirder that you read this long, and you should feel shame for it. But I will list some of these moments for you weirdos anyway (affectionate), Rick making a robot specifically built and programmed to make Morty happy in the season 6 finale, Rick crying and getting drunk every day when he couldn't find Morty in Rest and Ricklaxation (If I had a nickel for every time I mentioned Rest and Ricklaxation in this post for individual points, I would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but, weirdly, it happened twice, right?), Rick spoiling Morty in Rickfending your Mort, Rick having a picture of Morty in Fear No Mort, and Rick shielding Morty from bullets in the season 4 premiere.
But yeah, anyone with basic media literacy and 2 eyeballs that they use to watch this show with, can see that Rick cares for Morty, this much is very VERY obvious. But he clearly doesn't want Morty to be the best version of himself. I mean the way he consistently treats Morty is just so, SO bad. He insults him on a damn near daily basis, isolates him from any friends, deprived the poor boy of any chance to maintain his innocence or any hope for a normal life, and overall pretends like he doesn't care about him a lot. We can see the effects of this in a few episodes when the writers suddenly decide that maybe they should care about Morty. My personal favorite is Fear No Mort, where we see that Morty's greatest fear, that's right, his GREATEST FUCKING FEAR is that Rick doesn't care about him at all. We also see Morty's desensitization to violence in practically every episode with violence, which, uh, is damn near if not every episode.
Morty also has a whole lotta repressed rage. We see this in 2 episodes, my personal favorite from this category is Look Who's Purging Now, where Morty's repressed rage and desensitization to violence comes out in full force and the boy goes on a killing spree, taking his baggage out on unrelated people (Something he and his grandpa have in common)
Now this is definitely because of Rick and the way Rick treats him, Morty tends to just bottle up all of his rage with Rick, and it comes out in the worst ways, and ends up affecting unrelated, oftentimes completely innocent people.
Rick is selfish, he definitely is codependent on Morty. My favorite example of this is Rickfending Your Mort, where Rick relies on Morty to keep him emotionally stable, feed him, etc., etc. Morty tends to just accept this, it's sad that this 14-year-old boy has accepted his assigned role as Rick's caretaker, and nobody notices this or calls this out. I believe Rick does know, either consciously or subconsciously that he is codependent on Morty. I already made a post about this, but this stems from where Heathy Rick refers to his attachment to Morty as an "irrational attachment" and I personally believe that this is because of the codependency. And while Rick has definitely improved with the way he treats Morty, he still is very much codependent on him. I would argue even more so than he was in say, season 1 or even season 4. I mean he manipulated Morty so Morty would stay codependent on him and go on adventures with him forever. That is some next-level codependency and a pretty good example of the toxic kind of love I described. When Rick manipulates Morty, in his own messed-up, toxic, extremely unhealthy way, it's his own way of showing love, and while he cares about Morty more than anything, he still not enough to try to right the wrongs he committed with Morty in the past, and attempt to stop keeping the boy codependent on him.
Forcing the boy into his own personal hell.
Just like his grandpa.
