MADELEINE IS WEARING THE RUBIES! OMG I love how much the Swedes share their collection.

It's unfair how she looks good in anything, even the weirdest of tiaras.

Looks at you with big eyes
Could you describe Cross's hair in forgotten city for me more

Straight not straight it was in a braid for a good while now so likely not straight now unless he has that one type of hair i saw on this one asian girl on tiktok where she could tie a knot with her hair and it would still straighten out so its like braid wavy cursly smth rn but yk i want more info on silly little guy for no reason at all none at all trust please i want to know more i am on a cross information high after i got his backstory mostly right please hand over more visual details

yes, hi! told you id get round to it!
this is a current wip i have of him, for ref! so excuse the messiness of it, its NOT finished hahaha
he has quite THICK hair, despite the undercut - which he has SPECIFICALLY because his hair is so thick, that it was impossible to manage. very dense! (wish i could relate)
its sort of wavy, i guess? slightly 'matted' sort of texture despite it not being so - though it probably really DOES need a brush out at this point cus he would have kept it up so long - and the hair is thick and heavy enough that if he swung it at someone, it would probably really hurt - like being whipped with rope!
itstied with leather strips below where the hair is pulled up as WELL as at the ends, to keep it CONTAINED!
he keeps it braided for convenience really - if it was down, itd get everywhere, and he LIKES having long hair! the only bits that arent long are bits that have got so tangled, matted or knotted that hehas to cut them, or bits that have been otherwise cut - like the wolves cutting through it - so, that what the little fly away bits are - theyre not quite long enough to pit in the ponytail - which trust me, i KNOW how annoying that is lol
when wet, its sort of straight, but has a tendance to frizz up if he doesnt braid it down again quickly - so hes heading towards frizz town as we speak in the fic, haha!
he tries to keep the undercut as short as he can, for like i said, ease of containment. the undercut means its easier to grab all his hair to braid and not miss bits, as well as keeping the underside of his head cool in summers, and the sensory input of it not blowing everywhere is a HUGE relief for him! makes it easier to think!
thats about all i have for him right now! ill let you know if anything else pops into my mind!

Such a dork but an understanble rant 😂😭
As I said in my last ask, as a girl with thick wavy hair that never does what I want, the struggle is real😭

just popping in to say that i'm on team shorter hair for mick. i like it when it's a bit fluffy, but the slicked back whatever thing he's doing now isn't working for me
it's also too much with the very baggy merc shirt. i'm glad the alpine shirt is actually the right size
🎩
OMG YES! Welcome to the club, babes.
I loved it when he got it fluffy and over his forehead those first few days in the paddock *chef kiss* but slicked back... I kinda like it, but not much. I dunno, it gives his face a new shape - I love it when he parts it tho, like on the tennis pics, it looks sm better that way
jjajajaja he's trying to figure out his style, I like the oversized shirt, but the combo with the hair is not my fav too.
ref to my first sentence

How bald do you think Chris Evan is?
Well idk nonnie all I can do is make a guess
But I've heard from reliable sources (the neighbor to the dog that frequents the same daycare Dodger was in one time) that this is a recent video of Chris (high and bald, just as he is in his natural state)
For legal reasons, this is a joke.

DON’T CONDITION BEFORE YOU SHAMPOO!
Hairstylist here, and while it’s not necessarily wrong, you will be wasting your conditioner completely if you shampoo your hair afterwards.
Shampoo is designed to strip things from your hair aka clean it! This includes natural oils, dirt, other foreign substances such as food and yes conditioner. It also changes the ph of your hair, which is why if you only shampoo your hair it will most times feel dry and rough.
Conditioner restores all of that while also putting things back into the hair such as vitamins, minerals, proteins, and oils. It also restores the ph balance of your hair to where it’s naturally supposed to be which is what helps it feel smooth and soft.
You should be using shampoo on your scalp and letting it clean the mid shaft to ends (an inch from your scalp to the ends basically) during the rinsing process. If you shampoo and get little to no suds, you need to shampoo again before conditioning. Suds = clean hair!
It should also be noted that conditioner shouldn’t be applied to your scalp, but from mid shaft to ends. Your body will naturally replenish your scalp which will help the hair close to it (generally called new growth, about an inch closest to the scalp).
I get a lot of clients who say they can’t get rid of the oiliness only to find out they’re not washing properly by under shampooing and over conditioning. Unless you need it, like it’s common for you to get dirt in your hair daily for instance, you shouldn’t be washing your hair every day. The constant change in ph makes it very difficult for your body to figure out what your hair and scalp needs. Washing as little as possible is best. (I go every 3-4 days).
If you’re not sure what your hair needs or the best way to care for it, ask a hair stylist! We want you to have healthy hair more than anything so don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions!
Also some side notes:
Getting your hair wet (just water) will also change the ph of your hair by itself. You should be extra careful with your hair until the ph balance can be restored. There are products you can get but I usually just make sure if my hair will get wet I’ll be able to wash it soon after which works just fine.
Hard water will cause minerals to build up on your hair making it dry and rough. Get a clarifying shampoo to use ON OCCASION. How often is case by case, some people I tell every other week, some every other month. Don’t use it every day your hair will become brittle and break off.
Swim in treated pools at all? The chlorine from the water will stick to your hair and penetrate the hair shaft, stripping it like shampoo. It can even turn your hair green if exposed often and a lot (yes I’ve seen this and it’s wild). Clarifying shampoo helps with this as well.
Not every one can afford salon quality products which is absolutely fine! I help clients pick out drug store hair care products often. Please always do your research on the brand and product you’re using. Big corporations want you to buy more which means they misinform you to overuse products so you buy them more often. It’s better to spend extra on higher quality products I promise you! (One of the products I use I only have to buy one time a year after learning how to use it properly!)
That being said: STOP USING HEAD AND SHOULDERS AND PANTENE. Head and Shoulders is meant to suck up oil from dandruff caused by fungus. It’s thick and it’s yellow. If you have white flakes, that’s dry scalp which is just like your skin, you need moisture! Pantene is filled with wax. Very bad for your hair as it doesn’t allow the nutrients it needs to get into the hair shaft, including natural ones your body makes on its own!
In case no one told you growing up
Bras last longer if you let them air dry. Don’t put them in the dryer.
If you have a problem with frizzy hair, don’t dry your hair with a towel. It makes the frizzies worse. (I recently read an article that said to use a t-shirt? I brush mine out and let it air dry.)
Whites wash best in hot water. Everything else can be in cold - save on your electricity bill.
You can kill 99.9% of germs in a sponge by putting it in the dishwasher for a cycle or by microwaving it for 2 min (be sure to make the sponge damp before microwaving and to put a cup half full of water in with it and please DO NOT squeeze the sponge until it has cooled off)
Airing out your room/house and letting sunlight in every so often can decrease the number of household pests like silverfish and ants.
Black underwear is best during your period as stains are less likely to be visible.
To save money, put aside 10% of each paycheck into a savings account. It’ll add up.
Unless your hair has something on/in it (like grease or mud or something), using conditioner first can actually be the better choice. The conditioner holds in the good oils that help you hair look sleek and beautiful, which shampoo would otherwise wash away.
Speaking of shampoo - if you have long hair, washing just the bits that touch your scalp is generally enough. The rest of your hair gets cleaned with just the run off from your scalp.
If you put a tampon in and it’s uncomfortable/you can feel it, you didn’t do it quite right. A properly placed tampon is virtually unnoticeable by the wearer.
Apply deodorant/antiperspirant a couple hours in advance of when you need it. This gives the product the chance to block your sweat glands. Using deodorant just before going somewhere where you’ll sweat (this means walking outside for people in high humidity places) results in your sweat washing the deodorant off and starkly limiting its usefulness.
After running the dryer, use the dryer sheet from that load to brush out the lint catch - it gets everything off in a fraction of the time it’ll take you to get it clean with your bare hands. Paper towels also work well.
Wash your face everyday, or as often as possible. Forget which brand of cleanser is best. Just washing your face everyday will guarantee you clearer skin. And do you best not to pop pimples, as tempting as the urge may be.
Fold laundry asap after taking it from the dryer to avoid wrinkles. This may seem obvious for dress shirts and silly for things like t-shirts, but you’ll notice the difference even then once your shirts stop looking like unfolded paper balls.

So begins the tedious process of doing my hair.
One of the girls I worked with at [Company] asked me when I was going to do it and I was like “lol when I have time” and she didn’t get it until I told her “I’ve got to wash my hair, dry my hair, brush my hair, then bleach my hair, wash my hair, dry my hair, and brush my hair before I colour my hair, wash my hair, and let it dry.” She gave me the O.o look and I’m like “my hair is long, thick, and heavy. This shit takes hours.”
I didn’t even get into recovery time (because apparently my neck goes “lol suffer” any time I do it).
So I have started the process. Washed the hair, gonna let it work on air drying through the night, do some stuff in the morning, blow dry if needed, dig for hair ties or clips, brush out the knots, find a comb to part the bits, and then work on the bleaching process.
Because my hair is long (and thick AF), I can’t just go buy one Manic Panic bleach kit like I can for Jamie. And, y’all, I am dumb and ain’t about to be messing with how much of toner or whatever doohickey needs to be mixed with whatever the fuck to make the bleach work that stylists know. That is magic that I do not do.
And I know that box store box bleach works on my head (and I am not subjecting anyone to deal with my hair. It is a long and arduous process). The Garnier works and smells fine and the Féria works fine. But, the lightest blond for garnier was $9 a box and I’d need at least 4 boxes with probably orange results and the Féria has the larger box with the “look at this! It takes your dark hair to blooooonde like whoa” and is $12 a box and has 3 boxes left.
I got the Féria. I’ve used both before (and revlon, which stinks to high heaven), and I figure I’ll start with roots and work my way down so if I do run out of bleach, I can still have my sea hag ends so that’ll be fun.
And, if I hate it, I have colours in the bathroom already (manic panic for the win) and if I really don’t want to keep it as is, I can get a few jars of Enchanted Forest next payday and be done with it (or whatever greens look fun. Maybe I’ll try that snow leopard or whatever brand that it is that’s above the manic panic on the shelf at the store)

Some more jayvik Pacific Rim au since everyone asked so nicely!! Jayce is making sure Vik grows big and strong by stealing all the protein from the mess hall.
The lore behind Vik's short hair is that he crashed out around 3am, unable to solve a mathematical theorem, and forced Jayce to cut all his hair off with craft scissors in the dark. [nods nods]
#jayce tried to talk vik out of making brash decisions while upset but folded once he saw hot tears in Vik's face#folded like an omelette#so Jayce tried his best and vik loves all the new attention he gets around the Shatterdome#he thinks its the hair but ITS ACTUALLY his tiny gains#jayvik#jayce talis#viktor arcane#jayvik fanart#jayce x viktor#art#fanart#arcane#arcane fanart#pacific rim
