Half a glass of aloe vera gel

Up to 24 drops of essential oil (optional)

If you are using essential oils, add them to the aloe vera gel and mix. If you are going to use the mixture or directly, keep the aloe vera gel in a closed container in an airtight manner.

Hair gel from flaxseed

Less than a glass of water

1 and a half tablespoons of flaxseed

Boil the flax seeds, on which you add water, in a saucepan, when it starts to boil, let it boil for 10 minutes over low heat. Then strain with the help of a fine sieve or a permeable cloth. You can use this mixture for 10 days in an airtight way.

Oils you can add to your jelly

You can add them to your mixes to take advantage of the pleasant smells and benefits of natural oils.

Mint and rosemary: Stimulates hair growth and adds shine.

Patchouli and tea tree: It has beneficial pore-closing properties for oily hair.

Lavender and cedarwood: Moisturize dry hair.

-Supermilk conditioning spray from Lush: your hair will smell sooo good

-gourmand scented incense: don't be scared of stronger scents, because the smell will linger in your place even the day after you've burned these...in my house it always does!

-domestic sewing machine: i finally got one this year and it's so comforting to be able to work on clothing at home as well! Plus a good skill to hone especially since my prediction senses tell me homemade clothing will be big soon enough, after we all get sick of fast fashion/trend cycles/insane vintage resell market/clothing fitting poorly etc

Different Scents

This idea is sort of small and random, but if I get any more inspiration for other characters, I'll add it here!

Ijin: fresh linen, the steel blade of knives, the rubbery smell of bandages, medical alcohol, sometimes the faint whiff of blood, freshly cut vegetables. He doesn’t wear cologne so he smells very fresh, but his scent is naturally intoxicating and he smells appealing without even trying. When you hug him you just want to stay in his arms and inhale his scent for as long as possible.

Dayeon: flowery shampoo, subtle sugary perfume, sweet lip balm, spices from cooking, the warm heady scent of lit candles. When you catch her scent it's like a shot to the gut, it's so sweet and inviting. People are captivated when they smell her, they want to stay by her side forever.

Grandpa Yu: cotton, apples, butterscotch candies, aftershave, glossy photographs, that scent of old cologne no one anyone wears anymore. He just smells really comforting and familiar, like someone safe.

Dushik Cha: cigarette smoke, expensive cologne, scotch, hair gel, that metallic scent that comes from both his bat and blood, homemade food, the faint whiff of car grease.

Major Kang: sandalwood, freshly baked bread, the fancy soaps Jiye bought for him, spicy cologne, the slightest hint of gingerbread. He smells very homey and when Ijin first hugged him, he was grasping the back of his shirt so hard it became wrinkled. It was the first time he realized that touch didn’t always hurt.

Liam: gunpowder, sweat, cheap cologne, the faint whiff of cigarettes, coffee grounds, that dry scent that tells you he’s carrying money in his pockets. He's got a musky scent, but it's comforting all the same.

Maya: jasmine shampoo, pine trees, leather, coconut lotion, the faint scent of smoke. She doesn't like perfume because it overwhelms her and hurts her nose, so she smells very natural.

002: envelopes, printer ink, the cold metal of his handgun, expensive liquor, the imperceptible scent of takeout. He likes to wear expensive colognes because he never had that growing up, and now that he has the freedom to choose what he wants he gets the best luxury brands he never could have afforded. Also, since he is the current leader of the Numbers he feels like he has an image to keep up.

016: gun oil, machinery, pencil dust, old books, buttery popcorn, the faded aroma of baked sweets, the earthy scent of rain on hot pavement.

Quinn loves socks, lol. He's got very cold feet and has to wear a healthy wool sock pretty much all the time (especially to bed...weirdo) For shoes, he usually sticks with boots or his beat-up converse.

Vincent usually goes for stylish black shoes; he's partial to a patent-leather chelsea boot. He does mix it up when wearing different outfits, but he prefers something comfortable and classic

hair: How does your OC wear their hair? Does it have some kind of meaning?

Quinn keeps it short out of convenience, buzzed down the sides to the nape. For styling, he just wets his whole head under the sink and slaps gel all over it, lol. It's a bit spiky and disheveled, sort of a 'recently drowned' look, but I think he makes it work~

Vincent has been liking his current style--the neat part with a bit of volume on top. He has type 4a hair, so if it gets longer, he has loose bouncy curls. In the past, he'd experimented with a few different styles (rip to his 90's cornrows 🙏) For the most part, he prefers to keep it very natural, cleanly clipped down the back. He's quite fond of his hair, and has some cherished memories of his mother detangling it with a wide-tooth comb when he was younger, using her homemade coconut oil 🥺

DIY: Hair styling spray

Hair styling is not always easy and effortless. Hair products, on the other hand, have started to become very high-priced products recently. Here is a recipe that will come in handy at this point: Homemade hairspray…

Ingredients for homemade hairspray :

1 spray bottle

1 lemon (half an orange for dry hair)

2 glasses of water

5 drops of lavender oil

First, cut the lemon or orange into slices. Then put 2 glasses of water in a small pot and add the chopped lemons (or oranges) on it. After boiling, continue to boil over medium heat until the water loses half its volume.

Take it off the stove and add the lavender oil into it. Strain using a strainer or cheesecloth. After it cools down a bit, pour the mixture into the spray bottle. If you want to store it outside the refrigerator, you can add 60 ml of rubbing alcohol from the pharmacy. If you do not want to use alcohol, you can store it in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.

Use of:

Shake the spray bottle well before use. Spray at least 30 cm away from the area you want to apply the spray. If it feels sticky, you can dilute the mixture by adding a little more water.

Before using such homemade products, do not forget to test for allergies on a small area of ​​​​your skin. If you experience any redness, burning or itching as a result of the test, do not use the product.

He spends quite a lot of time outside, so it’s easy for different forest smells to latch onto his skin and clothes, like wood, pine, grass, rain, etc.

Whenever he decides to visit the ocean shore, you'll catch a whiff of salt and sea breeze too!

Hiei often resides in the demon world, so there’s a small tinge of blood (iron/metallic smell)

After using Darkness Flame, a slight burning smell surrounds him— like burnt flesh (the smell was incredibly strong when he used it during the Dark Tournament)

When bathing, he might visit a quiet hot spring or small lake. Hiei is petty enough to refuse body wash simply because it's a human made product. He mostly prefers a plain bar of soap without any strong fragrances or chemicals.

Hiei isn’t a cologne guy either, but if he happens to come across a scent he particularly likes, he might snatch it.

𓆩⟡𓆪 Kurama: Well, Roses, of course.

This man is a walking bouquet. He naturally smells like a freshly bloomed rose on a spring morning.

Floral scents all the way. Floral body wash, floral perfume, floral lotion, you name it. He is the KING of skin care. Organic products only. Cruelty free. Vegan. Recyclable. The list goes on and on. He certainly doesn’t need any of these items but he enjoys collecting them anyway!

Kurama uses homemade soap bars made from various flowers and leaves, and he likes to take bubble baths with rose petals in the water!

Even on his worst day, after a life or death battle, he still smells the best out of everyone in the group. You would’ve thought he’d just taken a stroll through a garden rather than fighting for his life.

These two get into so much trouble. By the time they make it back home, they're covered in sweat, dirt, and traces of blood. Luckily, after a shower, they smell much better.

Think of the most basic men’s body wash. That’s their smell range. (Musk and spice scents are most common) Kuwabara may pick up shea butter here and there because he’s fond of sweet smells. Yusuke grabs whatever smells decent and moves on.

There’s also a good chance you’ll smell their hair gel if you get close enough.

As for cologne....AXE BODY SPRAY.

lmao okay seriously, if they actually buy cologne, they would pick the most masculine-smelling scent and spray the hell out of it. You will smell them coming from miles away.

Attuma with the babies - part 2

Based in the Sun & the Sky AU

My thoughts:

When it was time for the twins to get their shots, Attuma was not allowed to be in the building. The first time one of the twins got poked with a needle and bursted into tears, Attuma had his hands on the poor doctor within half a heartbeat. The nurses had to get Okoye to pry him off of the dazed woman, and walk him out.

After that incident, he was forced to stay outside until everything was done. He was livid. Especially since Okoye was bawling her eyes out as she held the twins. But thankfully, he was allowed back in to comfort his family once all the shots had been given.

He was kinda pissed that he had to apologize to the doctor to be allowed back in, but he did it. (The things this man would do for his wife and sons. 🤧)

Attuma always looked forward to feeding the twins. He'd prepare a bottle of breast milk Okoye had pumped in a bag and tossed in the freezer and fed them while humming a soft tune. Once they were done, he'd burp them and hold them close on the sofa.

Then the twins would dose off, and he would feel obligated to stay still until they woke up. That typically led to him taking a nap with them.

Okoye would sometimes come home for lunch and find her husband knocked out with two tiny babies resting peacefully in his arms.

And she would take a picture every single time before placing a soft kiss on all of their heads.

Attuma was even more excited when the twins could finally start eating homemade baby food. He had been looking forward to the day they could start weening off of breast milk and enjoy the softer foods of Wakanda and Talokan.

Sure, they were a bit huffy, and the tears often made him run to the freezer to appease him, but Attuma slowly won them over with mashed up fruit and spoonfuls of thickened atole. He'd imitate dolphins and whales as he fed them and wipe their hands and mouths clean once they were done.

What he wasn't ready for was when their teeth started coming in. The wailing was endless, and all of the remedies only provided temporary relief.

He had finally settled on giving them frozen breast milk and tiny pieces of cold watermelon to soothe their aching mouths in the day. At night, he'd sing them a melody that washed away the pain. Long nights of singing led to long mornings of sleeping. Where he dropped the ball, Okoye picked it up. After a month, it became obvious that he was getting worn out.

Even he felt useless and inadequate sometimes. This was all he could do to satiate them. They despised numbing gels and would scream whenever they tried anything else. All he wanted to do was close his eyes and get an ounce of shut eye. But he loved his family too much to break down now.

Okoye could tell he was struggling and changed her working schedule to pull him out of the storm he was sitting in. He was such a kind and loving husband. He was an amazing father, too. But he was also human (although slightly mutated), and humans need breaks, too.

She'd often find him laid out in exhaustion, struggling to get a moment of peace but too stubborn to let Namora or Shuri or Aneka watch the twins. Okoye knew how much pride he took in taking care of their sons. Asking for help in his mind made him feel inadequate.

Some days, Okoye would hand the babies off to their aunties while he was sleeping. Leaving a note and a home-cooked meal on the counter, so that he could have the day to himself without any worries.

Other days, she'd put the twins down for a nap and hug him tight. She'd rub his back or brush his hair. Shower him in kisses and force him to go out and get some fresh air while she took care of the twins.

He always took care of her, so she'd take care of him. It was like they poured into one another to keep both of their cups full.

He was grateful and appreciated having such an attentive wife. And he was relieved when the tooth growing pains were over.

Attuma's heart soared when their twin sons began to walk. I mean, every milestone made him happy (minus the teething era). But this was just the cherry on top.

They both stumbled from his arms to Okoye's open ones with shaky little legs and happy giggles and squeaks of excitement.

The joy only dwindled slightly when they learned how to run and get into things. It felt like they were everywhere and getting into everything, every time he blinked or stepped away to do something.

Whenever they were getting into too much, he'd scoop them up, get one of the patterned wraps, and wear them until they dozed off.

Okoye always found it funny how their babies would fall asleep whenever he did this. She figured it had something to do with how much he did it when they were younger.

Sometimes, Okoye would doubt herself. Maybe she wasn't a phenomenal mother because the twins- aht aht. Attuma never let her finish those thoughts. He'd always kiss her and remind her that she was a good mother. And the twins solidified that when they spoke their first words.

To everyone's surprise, they boys' first word was K'iin and then Na'. Well, everyone but Attuma. Attuma had been gushing to their sons about Okoye everyday in the most wholesome of ways. Always reminding them of the mayan equivalent to each English word, Sun and Mom. Always reminding them of how amazing she was. Sometimes he'd bring them to watch Okoye spar and train with Aneka, so they could see their mother in action.

"This is how K'iin stole my heart." He whispered to the two babies settled on his lap as he sat on a bench. "The first time I met Na', she threatened to kill me and took out all of my soldiers. Then she cut my cheek." He chuckled softly at the memory as one of the twins attempted to bite his hand, and the other leaned against him drowsily. "To think we have you now. Chaac and Bast must have planned it all."

So imagine his surprise when the third word they spoke was Baba. Apparently, Okoye had been coaching them and teaching them xhosa while he was away. He didn't realize she was gushing about him too.

In short, he was all over Okoye that night, after the twins went to sleep.

Both of the twins are similar to Namor, in the sense that they are fine on land but seem to be stronger and heal faster when exposed to water. Although, they have to be exposed to water for long periods of time. They can also breathe through their skin like the god king.

This was discovered when the 3-year-old boys had fallen ill one summer. No one really knew what was wrong with them, and Okoye was panicking seeing them so lethargic. They were extremely restless and miserable, and it broke her heart seeing them like this.

Attuma asked the priest and herbalists of Talokan for assistance, and they had them bring the twins to the river.

Okoye was reluctant at first, but with a bit of assurance, she agreed. Both of their hearts nearly stopped when the twins were pulled underwater. The only reason everyone's head was still connected to their neck was the fsct the twins were flourishing. They had taken to water like fish. Apparently, they had spent too much time playing in the sun and needed more time in the water on hotter days.

Now that their parents were aware, the twins were allowed to play in the water with supervision. A few people were terrified at first because of the hammerhead sharks that would occasionally swim through. But, you know, Pakal and the squad had to come see the babies.

The twins loved Pakal. (So much that Namora made them shark plushies.) Attuma would help them pet the shark's side and watch them giggle as he nudged their floating toys.

The most curious thing was how much the shark would stay by Okoye.

Pakal had always favored Okoye to Attuma, but he seemed more restless than usual.

Almost as if he was guarding something, but Okoye would only whisper to the shark and shoo him away.

A few weeks later, Okoye shyly revealed that she was pregnant and Attuma was over the moon.

He was a little hurt she had tried to hide it, but the surprise she had thrown erased his pout.

In relation to your ghouls with autism HC's I have some thoughts for dew that are probs more on the angst, hurt/comfort side of things ('^' ;)

You said he'll bite at the skin on his lips a lot, so I offer the idea of dermatillomania (skin picking disorder) me personally I see that it was always there but not too bad, but that it got worse after his element change because of how hard on his body it was

With this I can also see trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder) coming into play after his element change. We all love to talk about how nice dews hair is and how well he treats it but I think that had to be re-learned after the change

It took lots of time to love his new body and hair from what it once was and everyone could tell, so maybe ghoul self care days suddenly became a pack thing instead of by themselves which helped dew in the process

OUUGHII yesss ;;;;-;;;; he definitely absentmindedly will start picking and pulling at himself, especially as his body just feels "wrong" and so dry. Scratching repeatedly and pulling, to the point needing Aether's intervention.

His hair was an entirely different ball game, constantly pulling at it to the point it fell out in clumps. The pack of care causing knots and matting which only influenced him to pull more.

Aether and Mountain being the ones to figure out how to safely shower him since he can't touch water anymore—a homemade sauna. Make sure the humidity is high, and carefully only dipping his extended hair into the water, with his scalp he has to dry rub it out usually with baby wipes or just the towel and Dew usually has gloves to lather his longer parts of his hair.

But anyways, Aether and Mountain so slow and careful over his body. Keeping in mind where he harms the most, Mountain combing his hair out and making sure Dewdrop can't see the clumps falling out, placing his hair in a decorative style that can hide the extremely thin areas.

They start offering chew necklaces and fur pillows specifically to pull the fur out. It doesn't always work but it helps!

When it's self-care time for the pack Dew is always buddied up as he knows, as do they, that Dew struggles with taking care of his body. Cirrus filing down his nails and carefully putting ointment around his cuticles and bandaids. Mountain doing his hair routine, and even Phantom rubbing down his chest with wipes and dry gel. They all love Dewy so much and want to see him better, they know it takes times and are willing to help him every step of the way!

classical music blaring out of cheap speakers, homemade food served in reused takeout containers, half dying houseplants in everything but traditional flower pots, the fragrance of jasmine and mint, mirrors reflecting sunlight on to disorganised bookshelves with the most random collection of books, soups in glassware, gel pen doodles all over my notes, herbal teas in whiskey glasses, locally sourced incense sticks, handmade woolen blankets over commercially sold quilts, baking granola bars on a lazy sunday afternoon, adding chocolate to literally everything, mid day naps when the weather is cloudy yet humid, ribbon ties instead of stapler pins, making my own spice powders, scented oil lamps, being obsessed with cloves, sleeping on a bed full of pillows only to find over half of them on the floor next morning, missing alarms because closing my eyes for two more seconds won't make me fall asleep again, picking flowers and herbs from the garden, sleepy afternoons, careful skincare but with the most day to day products, eucalyptus oil, use and throw inhalers to deal with my anxiety because the smell of menthol calms me down, short nails and neutral manicure, smelling like flowers one day and like the sea the other, getting excited whenever I spot the moon, absolutely in awe and in love with the clouds because they're amazing and so creative, puppies, calligraphy using ball pens, homemade mocha latte using soya milk, my grandma's childhood earrings that I wear all the time, newspapers, organic vegetables sold by retired social workers, tote bags, reusable metal water bottles, hot showers and cold rinses, using my grandmother's favorite brand of soap because I love smelling like her, herbal hair oil, smelling like sandalwood, cooking pasta with the family, reading secondhand books, collecting fused light bulbs, pencil underlines, postcards, 1 am poetry, pop instrumentals and pensive journaling, benzene rings on page margins, berry flavoured cough syrup, baking bread, long walks, loud conversations, thrifting, e-books, chocolate wrappers hidden between dictionary pages, colourful periodic table prints, plushies, honey, fleece blankets, sleeping cats, signet ring, dried rose I'd bought for myself and carried around like a trophy travelling back home with it in the public bus, twinning perfumes coincidentally with my best friend, vintage looking brand new ink pen and expired ink, sticky notes with motivational quotes covering my wall, never buying perfumes and only using the ones I'm gifted, random words that remind me of niche incidents or memories written along the corners of my study material, pearl jewelry set that my dad gifted my mom but it's me who wears it now, combat boots bought at ¼th it's price at a discount clearance sale, all my jackets being bought from different countries by my dad and thus each serving as a token of memory, lipstick shades that match only extremely specific vibes and look off and odd at other times, cherry lip balm stick that I've used only twice, daily calendar sheets reused as a notepad, birthday candles from my 16th birthday sitting on my work table, the lingering smell of multiple beverages in my room because I seldom wash the cups I drank them from and now they're cluttered all over the room, hand me down luxury watches older than me, chipped nailpolish, reminders written down on tissue papers, bus tickets all over my bag, sugar-free chewing gum, deodorant that never washes off my clothes, wearing clothes purchased 5 years ago and getting compliments simply because it's not trendy but is unique, mini origami cranes, rose sprays, lychee scented sanitizer, baking bread at home on weekends, homemade hair masks, turning up late because i was busy enjoying life walking through the eucalyptus grove on the way to class, running to the station yet missing the train, all my everyday ornaments having a deeper meaning to me.
