Also, regarding the boy's ages: Cheol, Mingyu and Wonwoo are the same age (one year younger than reader) and cousins May and Rina are like 4 and 7 years younger than reader, respectively.

When the four of you reached the food trucks, the place was full. You all walked around trying to see what kind of food there was but ended up settling for hamburgers. Rina said she wanted a regular cheeseburger and stepped out of the line to look for an empty table.

You and your cousin May fell into a comfortable conversation, talking about whatever while Mingyu stood behind you two, just listening.

Every once in a while May would sneak glances at Mingyu who attentively listened to you talk. After ordering, May decided to stay with her sister and keep her company, leaving the two of you to wait at the pickup area.

"So... Mingyu, how's life abroad? Making many new friends? Are you living alone?" You bombarded the boy with questions. It's been around three years since you last saw each other and it was a pleasant surprise to see the skinny tall boy coming home all grown up, strong, mature... and really handsome

"It's been pretty good! I live with a roommate, his name is Jeonghan. He taught me a lot haha... My classes are also fine but I'm still trying to get used to using another language whenever I leave the house" He says proudly

"Got a girlfriend?" You thread carefully

But the man smirks

"No, I only got eyes for you"

You roll your eyes smiling. He's flirty now too

"As if" you both giggle together when you get called by the staff of the food truck

After eating Mingyu excuses himself and heads to the toilet. When he's out of earshot, both your cousins turn to you and smirk.

"He's totally crushing you"

"YES. He's totally like a puppy looking at its owner... Maybe you should own him..."

You choke on your drink, almost spitting it

"Girlie are you ok? Are you guys even hearing yourselves? Mingyu's just being nice" You try to recompose yourself

"Ugh blind. He's literally giving you heart eyes, and won't stop looking at you"

"Maybe he looks up to me? Cause I'm older" You try to reason "He's just flirty. Maybe he's like this to all girls"

"He wasn't flirty with us" Rina speaks while gathering the trash

"Maybe because you're six years younger than him?" You speak with a duh tone

"Wow y/n, you're really blind. He's into you, that's why he's flirting... Oh he's back"

If Mingyu notices the sudden silence between the three of you, he doesn't mention it. You all stand up and look for a place to get dessert but the only thing on your mind is what Rina said

What about you? Are you also into him? I mean, he's cute but you never saw him as more than your little cousin's (even if only one year difference) friend. It felt kinda wrong to crush a younger guy when you were a teenager but now... In your twenties... Does it really matter?

Mingyu notices that you're lost in thoughts and every once in a while he links your pinkies in order to bring you back and get you to not lose yourself in the crowd of people

Add caring to the list of green flags in Mingyu.

After that night, things seem to have changed a bit

Mingyu seems to be getting closer to you and also seems to be spending more time with you than with his friend, who actually invited him to the house.

You're cooking. Mingyu is there to help

You're cleaning up the kitchen. Mingyu offers to do the dishes

You're going to the beach earlier. Mingyu is ready to make you company

Mingyu was everywhere you were. Maybe your cousins were right, maybe he's... a tiny bit into you? Let's find out

One afternoon, everyone decided to stay back in the house and just lounge by the pool, but not you. You decided to take a walk on the beach. And of course, so did Mingyu.

You were a bit skeptical regarding his (and your) feelings so you came up with an idea. See if he gets jealous.

"So, Mingyu... Tell me more about that roommate of yours... Jeonghan was his name?"

"Yeah, Jeonghan" Mingyu liked talking about his friend but you seemed too interested in him and it was making him feel weird

"What's he like? Is he older?"

"Yes, he's really nice and caring but he's a menace sometimes. He's a year older than you"

"He's also from Korea?"

"Yeah..."

"Oh is he single?" You asked but this time looking deep into his eyes

Oh, how he could get lost in them. It took a lot of strength to not kiss you right now

"Hm why"

"Oh you know... weighing my options... When Cheol goes to visit you I could tag along and... meet some guys" you said looking at the beautiful sunset. Oh, he was jealous.

"Why not me?" Mingyu didn't miss a beat

"What?"

"Why not me? Go out with me. We're not kids anymore. I'm not a kid anymore" he emphasized stopping in his tracks to fully look at you

You stopped not expecting him to be so forward with his answer and feelings. Turning around he looked... ethereal

His light clothes swayed with the sea breeze and the pinks and oranges of the sunset complimented his tanned skin so well. You know Mingyu was good looking but you didn't realize he was THAT good looking

"I... You're..." You were caught off guard and didn't know how to respond.

Mingyu sighed loudly at your statement, or rather your lack of a response.

"Well, if you didn't like me that way you should just tell me. Please don't lie to make me feel better" he looked uncertain about what he said himself but turned around and walked back to the house.

Why did you say that?

When you returned to the house, the boys had gone to the market to buy more snacks and drinks

You couldn't even say sorry because he wasn't there

After getting in, you went straight to the room you shared with your cousins. They both stood in the living room and exchanged concerned looks since you didn't even spare them a glance.

Why did you say that? You didn't like him? That wasn't true and you knew it. What was it then? Afraid of being lonely? Were you being too sensitive?

Those thoughts made the tears start to flow

"y/n? Are you- oh my god" May immediately got inside after seeing you crying sitting on your bed "What happened?"

"Did something happen with Mingyu? When he came back he seemed upset as well..." Rina added and that made you cry harder

May hugged you and let you cry until you were too tired to do anymore. When you finally calmed down you told them everything, from the night you went to the food trucks to the moment he left you on the beach

Lonely am I being sensitive? You are the sensitive one Where are you tonight? Where's your home tonight?

Mingyu didn't mean it, but he couldn't help but put his walls up

He didn't want to be hurt anymore

When you guys were younger he saw that you looked at him the same way you looked at Seungcheol. Like a little brother, which he didn't really like. He desperately wished time would change the way you saw him and he left it up to fate

He went to uni abroad while you took yours in your home country and now it's his vacation and he's back home. Of course, he knew you met other people and he did as well, but sometimes he wished it was you there, in his arms

And now he knows that you don't want him, and it breaks him.

Of course, it crossed his mind that maybe you both could be together temporarily like some sort of summer love but he didn't think he could handle the aftermath when he left again.

He was upset but what could he do? He couldn't just stay away from you when you were living under the same roof for 2 weeks but he could distance himself a bit. Seeing you would definitely make his heart hurt more.

Mingyu didn't realize that he was being awfully quiet during the market trip, which was very unlike his upbeat puppy personality

"What happened to you?" Even quiet Wonwoo went to check on him

"Nothing"

"yeah sure" Wonwoo shrugged but Cheol turned around to put his hand on Mingyu's chest to stop him

"Are you messing around with my cousin?" Seungcheol asked skeptical

"What? No I-" Mingyu tried to defend himself

"Then what? Explain yourself. We got time" Cheol motioned for them to sit on the small bench at the market's exit. Popping open a can of beer and motioning for both friends to sit as well

"Well..."

"Well, I'm screwed. I guess I do find him endearing but at the moment I couldn't say anything. I do like him a lot but I never considered... dating him. I'm not opposed to the idea tho"

"Just go on a date with him. What could go wrong? Just go for it" May said

"What if things don't work out and we get awkward? I don't want to ruin things for Cheol-" You started to panic again

"Can you stop overthinking for one second? Just do it, the rest is the rest" Rina exclaimed "Gosh, I will charge next time for the therapy session" She smirked when you started giggling. At least you weren't crying anymore

"I guess you're right. Thanks. What would I do without you two" You said hugging them both. "Now let's go, you'll both help me with dinner"

"Oh no..."

You dragged both girls to the kitchen and gave them instructions to prep the tomatoes and arugula to make with pasta. You went to freshen up quickly, getting rid of your crying face and went back to help them and cook the pasta.

When dinner was almost done the boys arrived with more bags than anticipated.

"Sorry we took too long. We got some extra stuff because Mingyu said he was gonna prepare a special meal for us tomorrow" Cheol announced as he set the bags near the counter. The other two did the same and Mingyu started to put the ingredients away.

The girls moved to set up the table, asking Wonwoo to help by taking the heavy stack of plates to the dining area. Cheol gave you a soft smile and moved out of the kitchen as well.

"I'm-"

"I'm sorry I acted that way" Mingyu cut you off "Actually I wanted to talk to you about it" Oh no, he thought "You caught me off guard, I won't lie, but I wanted to give it a try. You and I"

Mingyu stopped what he was doing. Maybe he was imagining things

"We could go on a date tomorrow if you'd like it... I mean, if you're still willing to"

"Yes- I mean. Yeah, I would like that" He said without hesitation

"Oh, great" you have him a shy smile " Can you help me take this pan to the table?"

"Yeah, let's go" he moved to help you smiling brightly. Maybe things were starting to work out

The next day arrived and passed as normal. In the afternoon you all decided to go grab some ice cream and you and Mingyu decided to separate from the rest to go on your date.

"You didn't have to pay you know? I'm the one who has a job and not a part-time" you smirked as he passed you the waffle cone

"I'd be rude if I didn't pay on our first date" he retorted

"Well thank you, what a gentleman" you giggled as he sat opposite you. The ice cream parlor was daily empty, but it was good because it gave you some privacy.

"Mingyu" you started "I wanted to be honest with you. I think you're cute and overall a great person, but I would be lying if I said I ever thought about dating you. I don't see you as a kid anymore, you've grown into someone so admirable... you grew up so well. Your confession wasn't something I was expecting but I guess the idea of us became... surprisingly pleasant" you said looking at him

"Y/n, thank you. For being honest with me. I- I have liked you since we were teens and when you didn't respond I put my walls up. I didn't mean to be rude to you, I guess I was just scared that you would reject me. I shouldn't have acted that way I'm sorry... but I'm happy. I'm happy that you're willing to give us a chance" he smiled. A smile you could definitely get used to.

"Well lover boy, how about that special recipe Cheol said you were going to prepare?" You said and he smirked

"Get really to taste the best dish you've ever had. I'll sweep you off your feet and you'll definitely fall for me this time" he said proudly, taking a bite of his cone and having some ice cream on the corner of his mouth

"I'll be looking forward to it" you said while grabbing a napping and cleaning the corner of his mouth.

He could get used to that

Your days at the beach were ending and your dates with Mingyu were making your relationship become stronger.

"Mingyu what are your plans when we get back to the city?" Tina asked as you all were lying on beach towels under the sunshade.

"I'll go visit my family for a while, my grandma lives on the countryside" he answered and took a peek at the magazine you were reading. Your head rested on his stretched arm and he moved you to basically lay on his chest since his arm was starting to feel numb.

"Before you go back to uni, could you spare me some time?" You asked looking up at him. Even under the sunglasses, he could see your doe eyes

"Anything for you" he smiled

"Ew, don't say those things in front of us" Seungcheol made a face of disgust and gave Mingyu a slight slap. "Anyways, anybody wants to go take a dive? I'm melting"

"Yeah let's go" Wonwoo said standing up, as well as Rina. May also stood up but reached for her purse.

"Should I get us snacks? That tent is selling French fries"

"Oh yes, please get us two portions! The boys eat too much" you responded sitting up as your dousing just nodded and went on her way.

"Before I move back I'll take you on a really nice date. Maybe at your house? I could cook again since you liked it so much" Mingyu smirked as he resumed your previous conversation

"What are you implying Mr. Kim?" You side-eyed him but smiled after "That would be nice, I'm sad you'll have to leave me soon" you pouted

"Don't worry, I'll come back running for my girlfriend. You could also visit me you know..."

"Oh? Am I your girlfriend now? Since when?" You raised your eyebrows at him. It was amusing to poke fun at him, his cute pouting was a sight you loved

"You don't want to be my girlfriend?"

You pecked those pouty lips. You were both being really cliche, but with him, things were beginning to feel right.

forgive me, I know I could do this myself but I am both incredibly lazy and incredibly curious -- you have a detailed list of which Vice Versa universe each gmmtv show is in? Could we... have a peek? if not that's all right haha

*cracks knuckles* ok so it's probably not fully complete (it's been a bit since I last watched and I apparently didn't note everything down) and I've also included some other shows too but here's what I have

Vice Versa:

Universe 1 (the starting universe): Theory of Love is a show and Gun is specifically mentioned as being a real person, Tay Tawan is also a real person/actor in this universe

Universe 2 (the one where we spend the most time in): Theory of Love is just regular reality with all the characters being real people in it, Akk and Theo from Enchante are also just regular real people in it, Tay Tawan has a slightly different name and is a delivery driver not an actor, there's a vet named Mix played by Mix Sahaphap who is a vet irl

Conclusion: most gmmtv shows exist as shows in the first Vice Versa universe, while the shows are real life in the other, except for shows starring Tay Tawan or Mix since they're regular people in that universe. This also seems to set the idea that the shows in one universe are reality in the other.

But Vice Versa isn't the most complicated one. No, it's trying to untangle the web of what My School President establishes that's tricky

Bad Buddy is a tv show in their universe and Ohm, Nanon, and Mark are all referenced to be real people in their universe, however almost the entire main cast of My School President had minor or supporting roles in Bad Buddy so there's a lot of doppelganger stuff going on here

P'Aof makes a cameo as a different person (Tutor Nop) and references ATOTS with A Tale of Thousand Scores, but P'Aof directed Bad Buddy which is a show here so another doppelganger

Now the special Our Skyy 2 episode takes place in an alternate universe and there they make references to Bad Buddy, A Tale of Thousand Stars, and He's Coming to Me

In the Bad Buddy and ATOTS Our Skyy episodes, they reveal that they take place in the same universe. I posit that this gives weight to the idea that He's Coming to Me also takes place in this universe.

BACK TO MSP, I saw a post that shows that there is like background easter eggs that show that MSP and The Eclipse also share a universe.

The Eclipse is then a tv show in Wandee Goodday, meaning that MSP is probably also a show in Wandee Goodday's universe

CONCLUSION: The characters of My School President are real people in the Universe 1 of Vice Versa and are characters in Universe 2. This is because of the existence of gmmtv and recognition of the actors and whatnot. This also means that the characters in The Eclipse are real people in universe 1 and characters in universe 2. Which means Bad Buddy, A Tale of Thousand Stars, He's Coming to Me, and Wandee Goodday would take place in universe 2 (which might be why we Mix as just a vet instead of an actor because his characters are real people), and Wandee Goodday would be a tv show in the MSP/The Eclipse universe.

Also, gay marriage is legal in Thailand in Universe 2. Tian and Phupha get engaged in the Our Skyy 2 special and I jsut saw that Fluke said that Oyei and Cher are married in Wandee Goodday, which also adds water to this theory!

Am I overthinking this and none of this was actually intentional by the people at GMMTV? Absolutely! But it's fun to think about and as long as you allow for the existence of doppelgangers (and ignore that the changes Vice Versa established as being true in Universe 2 doesn't appear at all in the shows that supposedly take place there) it doesn't completely contradict itself!

Now don't ask me if Midnight Museum fits into this because I have no idea where to begin with their multiverse

a lot of thoughts about silver twisted wonderland

Good morning it’s 3:45 am and dorm silver dropped after almost 3 years so here’s a full length post dedicated to him. not spoiler free

Quick Note: I remember when I first saw all the twst characters lined up and he honestly…didn't stick out much. i picked him as my first favorite anyways though because of zakki and hes been trapped in my brain ever since. Even though his background is still shrouded in ??wtfs i think exploring that is part of the fun of silver!! Personally, I really love him because a lot of his character beyond niceguy.jpg is rooted in subtext and it's super fun to delve into. so i can’t promise this is an unbiased analysis, but I hope you enjoy it anyways.

OVERVIEW

Silver, at a quick glance, seems like both the most normal and most bizarre character in Twst. In a sea of self-serving, scheming villains, he lacks the sort of insidiousness most of his peers are constantly displaying. From a player’s perspective, we know this is because he’s most likely based on Aurora; but other NRC students simply deign to see him as an oddball. From the Disney properties he’s twisted from to his own strange upbringing, Silver is a bit of a question mark to both us and the ingame characters. In this post I’m gonna try to dissect some underappreciated complexities of his character, and hopefully get you or whoever’s reading this to give him some love! haha hope this doesnt get too long

PART 1: INTRODUCTION 

First off, Silver’s a pretty lowkey guy. Not in the way Jamil is (forced), or the way Trey is (less forced than Jamil but still forced), but moreso in a way that points to him being out of touch with himself and his own internal state. He doesn’t really…stick out in comparison to the more bombastic members of his dorm; at least not at first. A lot of his quirks are hidden behind his cool expression and appearance, and the gap between those two qualities leads to some funny gags in his interactions with others. 

Part of Silver’s charm as a character comes from his super blunt way of speaking, especially when he starts to describe extremely weird situations that he deems are normal. Like in Endless Halloween, when he casually mentions that he’d used to fight bears to Jamil and Jack (who react as expected). He isn’t used to “regular” social conventions, and this is coupled with the fact that he doesn’t really think like a villain does. In Fairy Gala IF, Ace comments on his heroicness, wondering how they both attend the same school. 

Essentially, there’s a significant divide between him and the people around him in both mindset and in lifestyle. Other students also view him as strange due to unchanging face. Some of his voicelines point this lack of expressiveness, like these:  

“They say that silence is golden. But in my case I just don’t have anything worth talking about…” (Ceremonial Robes SR) 

“I’m happy. ‘I don’t look like it’? Understood. Next time I’ll try harder.” (Groovy Voiceline)  

His dorm SSR also places this aspect of his character front and center. In Part 1, he overhears his peers whispering about how expressionless and weird he is. One of the students even questions if Silver has feelings, which triggers Silver to try to “learn how to be more expressive” with Kalim and Jamil’s help. Thank god for Sebek, who plans to spar with him in the courtyard so Silver’s classmates can witness his true, extremely cool self. He reiterates that Silver shouldn’t care about their opinions and doesn’t need to change.  I don’t think being as on display with one’s emotions as say, Kalim, is necessary for Silver to show growth; he doesn’t have to change who he is to please others. I also really really don’t think that him being less externally expressive is a fault. Sebek’s lines in Silver’s dorm uniform story make this very clear. 

PART 2: SILVER IS A HUMAN 

Still, an important part of his dorm uniform personal story is his reasoning behind wanting to change his expressions. He says he feels bad for burdening his classmates this way, and doesn’t want this issue to reflect poorly on Malleus. Silver’s dorm uniform story, as well as countless others (see: his PE card, where he only helps Vil after the former mentions Malleus), show off a key facet of Silver’s character. Of course no man is an island, but Silver only seems to exist in relation to Lilia and Malleus. His lack of self awareness can thus be linked to his constant drive to be useful to them. Silver only focuses on training and bettering himself in academics, physically, magically, etc in order to better serve others or avoid staining Malleus’s reputation; it’s all he can talk about. So much of his life is spent dedicated to his family that he’s frighteningly UNself-centered. And I know that his selflessness is part of the joke, but he really doesn’t seem to be thinking about himself at all, ever. 

One way to read into Silver’s devotion is through the lens of his mortality. Like Sebek, I think Silver has some internal struggle surrounding his humanity. Unlike Sebek, I don’t think Silver is necessarily ashamed of his race or cognizant of this inner conflict; rather, the fact that he is human and is mortal influences his dynamics with the other three greatly. Something easy to overlook with all the gags about Silver falling asleep in random situaftions or playing with animals is that he is burdened with the knowledge he will die long before his loved ones. Lilia, Malleus, and potentially Sebek (not sure about his projected lifespan yet?) are all likely to outlive him and there’s nothing he can do about it. Unlike the others, his time is palpably finite. 

This inner conflict manifests most obviously in his desperation to fix his sleeping issues. While it's in part just a dislike for it constantly disrupting his everyday life, any time spent unconscious is just another reminder of the limited time he has in comparison to his quasi-immortal loved ones. His character profile also marks his dislike as "being idle", which makes total sense when considered in relation to his mortality and not just in relation to his narcolepsy. in this short time he's been blessed with, he should devote his being to giving back to those who raised and cared for him, those who he lives for and who gave him the chance to live. Not a second should be wasted when he could be improving himself as a son, guard, student etc, and this fixation then feeds into his already lacking sense of introspection. While I don’t think he’s necessarily aware of this view of his own humanity (ie it doesn’t cross his mind in such a melancholic or existential way when he’s looking for a cure to his sleeping) I think it’s a key part of his character that explains a lot about his motivations and being. 

But what makes the divide between human and fae lifespans even harder to navigate is the sheer difference in their experiences and values. Of course Lilia and Malleus care for Silver, but the difference in perspectives between a human and a centuries old fae is massive. An example of this is in the Endless Halloween event: 

Silver: There’s no way I could doubt you, Fath…Da…Lilia! You both took this way too far! 

Lilia & Malleus: Hm?

Silver: I understand that you and the ghosts just wanted us to have fun. But those who were taken over by the ghosts tried to fight us. All it would’ve taken was one mistake and someone could’ve gotten seriously injured. Are you saying that was a hint, as well? 

Though Lilia and Malleus clear up the misunderstanding-the ghosts were supposed to tell everyone it was entertainment but were attacked before they could-Silver still shows his willingness to challenge them when he believes it necessary. I wouldn’t add this as an example because it is part of a misunderstanding, but Ace criticizes Malleus in his own SR Scary Dress personal story, citing that “normal students can’t compare”, so he should be more aware of how powerful he is. 

Endless Halloween is in general a really great Silver event. Not only are we shown his willingness to stand up for what he believes is right, even against the people who make up his whole world, he’s forced to confront the question of his humanity in relation to them. In his SSR Scary Dress personal story, he acknowledges that he never thought they could part: 

Silver: Lilia-senpai was always there for me, so I was never lonely.

Silver: Training with Sebek was always fun, and sometimes Malleus-sama would come and visit us in secret…

Silver: Somewhere in my heart, I had decided that that peaceful time would continue on forever.

Silver: …I had never even given it a thought that I could experience a parting.

That’s what makes part 1 of episode 7 is such an interesting set up in terms of character drama- as with the Endless Halloween kidnapping farce, the roles between son and father have been reversed. This time, though, it’s seemingly for real.  Silver can’t picture outliving Lilia, or even just living apart from him forever because the first seemed biologically impossible and the other extremely unlikely, and now everyone is crying and Malleus is burning down NRC. 

The Valley of Thorns is behind on the times. It’s a stagnant and slow to change, a point emphasized in almost all of its mentions, so I think the Diasomnia chapter will center on them coping with time,  change, mortality, etc. I’m trying not to cross over into theory territory, but another possible route episode 7 could take is surrounding Silver’s origins. We see Lilia give him the ring from his original parents. What if he leaves to find them? I really really don’t think he will, but there is that threat of “Silver has ties to another place besides Diasomnia” which is another stake in how lonely Malleus, as the overblotter, is. 

JUST TO REITERATE AGAIN BECAUSE I THINK IT’S IMPORTANT WHEN DISCUSSING SILVER LIKE THIS: I also don't think he's super self-aware yet considering his general lack of introspection, or at least doesn't think about it too often unless he's confronted with a change in the status quo (like in his Scary Monsters SSR). He’s very here-and-now minded. I’m not saying he’s secretly hiding some dark and sad secret side, just that his situation’s complexity extends beyond the falling-asleep-everywhere gags. Mortality and all that. 

PART 3: I LOVE SILVER TWISTED WONDERLAND 

But one thing that always makes me sad about Silver’s situation is wondering…is he lonely? It must be lonely right? Or does he throw so much of himself into others that he isn’t even aware if or when he is? So much of twst boils down to how loneliness absolutely destroys a person, and how understanding from others and human connection is incredibly necessary. Without it, people can turn into literal monsters, consumed by their pain and isolation. Like their leige, Silver and Sebek haven’t socialized with others much until NRC. But a big part of twst chapters is the dorm head/members of the respective dorm connecting with their classmates a little more, which is why I’m hopeful that Diasomnia will have a happy ending. The game is a Disney property after all. 

And as Lilia says, human or not, Silver will always be his son. Sometimes a family can be two fae, a human baby, and their giant crocodile. 

tldr; Silver is isolated in a lot of ways (human instead of fae, has morals unlike the other scrubs at NRC) and hyperfocuses on others instead of his own sake because of it; I think episode 7 will be about him and the rest of Diasomnia learning how to make connections with others while coping with time, change, and mortality.

Strix and Dema talk reluctant heroes, DA4 (spoilers ahead!) and ALL the worldstates

Dema: To jump right in, on your user intro you mentioned OC creation first in your list of things you love about Dragon Age. What about DA OC creation in particular appeals to you?

Strix: I love the choice of it all. I get the opportunity to craft rich, multi-faceted characters within a deeply immersive world that I love and see everyone else's amazing creations too. I have endless possibilities for creative expression and storytelling and ways to explore personalities, choices and experiences that I don't have personal experience in, and on the flip side I get to explore characteristics that I have in so many different ways. I also love learning about how others approach the same thing and there is always so much diversity in how it is approached.

Dema: Do you create your OCs with writing in mind?

Strix: Not necessarily. I have several that were created with writing in mind, but the majority were created with the idea of exploring the world of dragon age from a particular lens and what that would mean for how they would interact with the world.

Dema: What has been the most interesting character configuration for you, in game? 

Strix: I find it really hard to pick just one. However, I will say I really love any non mage Hawke. They're just a regular guy and because of the tensions between the mages and templars and between their friends, they're always kind of stuck in the middle. I find it's an interesting dynamic because in the end they always have to take a stance, regardless of personal feelings, investment in the mage or templar cause, or the risk to themselves. 

Dema: Do you have a favorite Hawke you've made? (Cruel question, I know haha)

Strix: Hahaha, it really is lol. But I would have to say my canon Hawke. Aeryn Hawke is a dual wielding rogue and purple Hawke. She just wanted to live an uneventful and simple life, but fate had other ideas.

Dema: I LOVE a reluctant hero.

Strix: She's become a bit of a tragic figure as the DA timeline and story has progressed and I'm honestly terrified of Varric dying in da4 because that would honestly be the thing that breaks her. She can't and hasn't saved the world, all she's done is hold back the tide a little bit.

Dema: OOF, yeah! So I assume you're keeping up with the DA4 news to some extent?

Strix: Absolutely! I'm obsessively following all the updates. I have no care for spoilers. 

Dema: What are you most excited about?

Strix: Meeting all the new companions. I have loved all the past companions and I'm so excited to meet all my new friends and LIs. Through a chance to punch Solas is a close second.

Dema: Are you already planning your Rook, or are you waiting?

Strix: I've got plans for at least five already, lol. I have 13 completed world states and uhhhh an addiction to OC creation.

Dema: Hey. You are so valid. Who knows how long we'll have this game before the next one comes out, if we've got a decade surely five play-throughs is reasonable.

Strix: I'm so scared I'm going to create more than 13 Rooks and then I'll have to create wardens, Hawke's and Inquisitors to match them. The backgrounds sound so intriguing.

Strix: My pitch will be in tomorrow, I've been working on it today (blurbs/summaries kill me lol) But I'm super excited about DABB! I'm also super excited to finally be writing my fic, because it's a fic I've wanted to write for ages now, and the way the DABB has been structured has really helped me kick my ass into gear to tackle the project. I love fandom events and gift exchanges because of the commitment component. It was a regular day for the worldwide known idol group, every member busy with their individual schedules, their day fully packed with different interviews, practices and photoshoots. Bae was no different, having just set foot back in the company building, his previous appointment having required him to go to a different location to be used as a background for his photoshoot. The shooting had a more natural, gentle theme, all the clothes Bae had worn woven with pastel coloured silk and cotton, wonderfully complementing his long hair, the dark strands left freely flowing in the soft breeze.

Through busy hallways he went, slipping free from a packed elevator efficiently, having mastered the art long ago, despite his ridiculous height.

The moment he had stepped foot into the practice room he knew something was amiss, the air shifting around differently, compared to its usual, cheery self.

Two pairs of eyes met with each other, one searching the other carefully, not wishing to accidentally set off a landmine and cause irreversible destruction. Yet, the taller dancer had no time to fully worry about that, his hyung looking away much too fast, not even slowly blinking at him in his usual, silent greeting.

That was the first red flag Bae had noticed, something that settled heavily in his stomach.

The younger took his bag and hoodie off, already fully changed into some loose clothing he could freely dance in long before having arrived at the company. Although, he had to say, even after so many years, he still couldn’t get used to changing in the car hastily, usually not having enough time in his tightly packed schedule to do so in a proper locker room or even a restroom.

Minho silently waited for the otter to be done, eyes watching him through the mirror like a hawk, something sharp in the older’s gaze that usually didn’t reside there. It caused a slight crease to nestle itself into Bae’s forehead, its presence uncomfortable.

Still, Bae pushed through the feeling, opting to instead keep a watchful eye on the older as they started practising an older choreography of theirs.

As the day went by, so did Minho’s patience thin, the man clearly frustrated over something, bottling the emotion up and letting it simmer inside, only to inevitably blow up in everyone’s faces like a devastating bomb.

Bae wasn’t blind, he had noticed the little signs. How his hyung’s moves were more forceful than usual, how his lips dipped down just a tad bit further into a barely noticeable scowl, or how he kept carding a hand through his hair, the strands on the verge of falling out from the repetitive, forceful motion. The younger noticed these easily, having carved everyone’s habits into his very soul. 

The two idols were similar when it came to things like this, never seeking help on their own. Which was also the exact reason Bae knew, he knew Minho wouldn’t just open up to him or to anyone, the man too stubborn for his own good.

A reason that created an interesting dynamic between the dancers, as if they were two temperamental cats, only going to the other on their own terms, allowing the other to catch little glimpses of vulnerability only occasionally. It was a never ending cat and mouse game, only, sitting down and never chasing that mouse being the sole winning condition of this infuriating game.

And so, Bae waited patiently, staying by his huffing hyung’s side silently, even as the man’s aura screamed pure violence and murder, scaring everyone else away and rightfully so. Nobody doubted that Minho could end someone’s life with a single spoon alone, one he was eating his beloved pudding with.

Time crept by as the two just sat there on the sofa, a space left between them that would be considered much too wide on any other day. A stupid little show was put on the TV, a mere background noise no doubt, since none gazed at the device securely mounted on the wall. Instead, they were both scrolling on their phones, a rare occasion for the artist, the man quickly using it to check as many fanarts as he could, all created by their beloved STAY.

Shuffling of clothes could be heard, the little ‘thunk’ following it as the now empty plastic container was placed onto the table, its delicious contents already eaten long ago.

A soft touch reached Bae’s hand, a limb he had purposefully left resting on the pillows closer to his hyung, not fully tucked into his side.

By the time he had locked and put away his phone -not like he had been actually paying attention to it the last 5 minutes-, another hand had snaked itself into his, a head heavily falling onto his lap. That same, clutched hand of his was led to a nest of fluffy hair, no request needed to be gently buried there, drawing little symbols into the skin.

Bae could feel the tension leaving Minho’s body, those hunched shoulders sagging, taut muscles resting at last. A barely audible sigh could be heard, but the younger knew better than to comment on it, letting it silently disappear in the peaceful silence enveloping the two.

With every stroke and every gentle scratch the other melted more and more into him, practically turning into putty in his hands. Not a single word was exchanged, the serene atmosphere never broken, only enhanced by the quiet, satisfied hums that occasionally left the older’s mouth.

The moon was high up in the sky by the time Bae had finally fallen asleep, Minho curled up by his side, head still comfortably laying on his dongsaeng’s thigh. When Chan had noticed this scene, having come back from another long session of songwriting, a smile so soft sat onto his face that it seemed unreal. He gazed at his dear members, his family, for a few more minutes before grabbing a blanket from his room, covering the two as much as he could. The cat stirred, making the wolf still in his place, earning a relieved sigh once he had settled back and started softly snoring once again.

Even the strong needed some time to recuperate, to rest and gather their strength, and Bae felt honoured to grant that for his beloved, cat-like hyung, the one who always cared for him quietly. He would always be by his side, to provide some silent support, no matter what.

Okay so I actually have two, one is a high school one, it's a bit darker and handles difficult topics but gold plays baseball and silver starts coming to his games, v cute stuff

The au in which baseball is the focus is pro baseball one (i came up with it on the way home from watching the astros get absolutely wrecked and i needed to cheer myself up LOL) its pokespe cause i can manipulate some stuff for example

-Green's grandfather was a pro ball player and when he was a kid he got sent off to live with Chuck who was a coach and trained him non stop

-something with silver and the masked man but idk didn't flesh that out too much but whatever it was is sad... i think his dad was a pro player or owned a team or something and he got kidnapped for a long time idk tho

-buttttt our main players (everyone is an adult so age gaps don't really mean anything?) are gold, silver, red, green, lance, surge, koga, bugsy, ruby, few others on the team really just characters I like

-Yellow is our Physical therapist cause she's got the powers lol

-Blue is like media/marketing/PR she's sometimes a little shady but its fine

-Crys is an assistant coach or something, half the players are scared of her which is fun, gold constantly talks back to her (ends up running laps a lot lol)

-ships would be gold/silver, red/green but i feel like they would be more background? the focus here is the team its like a sports anime mixed with slice of life

-just their regular season and the hijinks they get into

-its not a very serious au and there is no real plot except them playing ball and trying to win it all (they do)

-there's also an ongoing joke that no one knows who the head coach is

-pokemon are still a thing but like that one episode of Alola so is baseball LOL maybe they have their partners on the field?? IDK

Well I am sharing a bit of random things currently as I am hit by a wave of nostalgia. And here is the musical share of today.

I always loved the mix of music and humour. And I have a long list of groups that do that. I have a classical background, studying music, but I did only one year of conservatory. That year was a pain in the ass for me, because this was too strict and this is a competition. I stopped right away, even if I was not hating what I was learning. The good point was that what I learnt stayed in me for a very long time and when I decided to start music again way older, I had a good boost from the start.

Anyway... for me music is about sharing and emotions and the musical clowns provides a new way to enjoy classical training or technicity, with a good laugh.

Today I am gonna share The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain 🥰

I am not gonna share their most known video, which is a reprise of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. I let you find out by yourself if you like. I am gonna share other songs they reprised.

In this group, not all the members are good singers - their forte is in the instrumental part and the arrangements for the ukulele - but there are some very solid elements on the vocals. And they come out with good vocal ensembles overall.

Their humour is more in the form of the very stoic british kind.

For a time I had a slight crush on the bassist because, fucking hell, he is good. Nice voice, legendary whistler, and he can pull out some crazy basslines on the classical parts mostly. He reminded me of my own bassist years in a guitare orchestra. And I am telling you, the bass is often hellish and just under the soloist in terms of difficulty, because your voice sounds nothing like the music, you have strange rhymes to hold while every is doing crazy stuff above and when you have some very rapid parts, you can literally have your finger bleeding, as the strings are quite hard. Nice memory haha !

But I fucking loved bass. I am (was) a bassist.

So here is my selection :

1 - I said they had not specifically good voices but they are very good all together. So here is the acapela version of Pinball Wizard, in a sea song style 😅.

2 - We continue with in the rock transformation with : Psycho Killer, ukulele version 😅

3 - We finish with my favorite boy, the bassist, with 4 highlights 🥰.

The first one is the arrangement for ukuleles of the Devil's Gallop, which is a fast pace orchestral piece. For this one, you may want to put headphones on, because the bass is alone against all the ukuleles. The man in the middle, is the soloist. When you realise that the basse is doing the same thing then, yeah, respect 😅. I remembered trying it, and I couldn't reach that tempo on my bass haha

Here is another example of the importance of a baseline. Everyone is doing chords here, with intricate rhythm but the bass is doing everything else, and Jonty never misses even laughing, the bassline never breaks 🥰. The song is Wuthering Heights.

I also said that he was a fantasic whistler. Here is a proof 🥰

And to end this selection, here is for those whose brain can follow several lines at the same time and this is a little sarcastic nudge to the fact that many song have the same chords progression 😏.

I actually used his baseline to sing Life of Mars to my teacher and he loved how the song could work with so little notes. It was not that easy to sing, because on the chorus, the bass is doing nothing like the voice.

Now enjoy his voice, his regularity, and the composition of the strange medley ! (This is very hard for everyone by the way 😅)

Chamomile Comic Trivia #31

#159 - Notice

It's Sam! I wish I had written down more about my decision to add her, although at this point I'm fairly sure I wasn't certain she was going to become a main character - in fact it was RIGHT around the week this posted that I began work on the first proper cover art for the series which of course did not include her.

Her design was based off this old one-off pin-up girl art from 2017, technically making her the first ever major Chamomile Comic character to exist, sort of.

She was named after Sam Lloyd, likely known for his portrayal of Ted the Lawyer from Scrubs. The news of his death had recently broken and I had just recently begun listening to Fake Doctors, Real Friends, the Scrubs rewatch podcast, as my go-to background entertainment when colouring the comic specifically each week. It still is now, albeit intermittently since they don't always produce an episode each week and I no longer have a backlog to catch up on. Now granted, I don't love the podcast as much as I used to - can be a bit cringey at times as these two hollywood actors chat about utterly unrelatable anecdotes from their lives - but it's overall been enjoyable and it'll be weird to find something new to accompany my colouring if it does come to an end or stops being enjoyable once they permanently pivot into... whatever they plan to do after they run out of Scrubs episodes. It's been part of my colouring process for the comic for longer than it hasn't been now, haha. So... yeah it felt right to honour that connection to my comic with Sam's name, on top of the fact that Scrubs is just straight-up one of my favourite TV shows and Ted was always a character that gave me big laughs.

Of course... I realised after that I'd introduced yet another character to the comic ending in "-a"! ...But whatever, it's a common thing. Not so long ago I had 5 co-workers simultaneously whose names also ended in -a, lol.

The decision to have had her always be around simply came from not having any strong ideas to introduce her and preferring the idea that at least some of the cast already knew her. The gag's been done before, but I thought it'd be extra funny to introduce her with a scene in which she is specifically announcing her departure from being a regular face in Cammie's life, which typically would mean the same for the audience in most works with actually established characters.

Final little bonus note - in panel 1, Cammie once again is entering with a handful of steaming coffee.

#160 - Official

I didn't really mean for it to be so small it's barely legible at web size, but the little sign on the panic alarm button behind the till says "Real emergencies only Cammie!", in reference to #50.

#161 - Before

All that Scrubs talk regarding Sam is kinda fitting, because they did the "this character was always here!" gag there too. For their one, they edited her in on various memorable shots and pretended the main character didn't notice her being present, here I obviously extended the frame on the end of several punchline panels from previous comics.

Here's a gif that shows the original panels compared to the new ones, showing both the new and old art isolated as well so you can see exactly what I drew to extend the older panels which naturally weren't drawn originally knowing that I would one day be extending them!

The second of the three Sam flashbacks is just a nice little bridging one, but it did take me a while to decide for sure which way around I wanted the first and third flashback panel. For the first: while there's been a little bit of mild bad language in the comic once the seal was broken here, Sam's "bitch" is the first time such language has appeared so it amused me to place it in a scene that has already happened long ago just barely outside of the audience's perspective. For the third: the joke is of course that the reveal of Sam's additional dialogue is particularly adding nothing to the scene whatsoever - like, as if Cammie making a fool of herself would even be remark-worthy at this point. I felt both these two goofs had a good punch to them in their own way so yeah, I remember being conflicted over whether I had chosen the funniest possible flow of these three gags.

Of course, the final joke of this one, in case it wasn't obvious (I could see it being subtle for some), is that Mimi's whole running gag is she's a side character who also has existed in the comic for long before her first on-screen appearance, yet Cammie never remembers her.

#162 - New

The art and dialogue structure of the first two panels here is identical to #160. I think it being a time-saver on my workload for the week was definitely a factor - for whatever reason I needed it at the time - but I also remember going for something with that choice beyond just that... But I can't for the life of me remember what. I don't think the parallel between the two comics adds anything reading them back now.

Anyway here's Newt! I really thought at the time that he was going to be as significant an addition as Sam, and I did come up with the idea of introducing a regular male character at the time I chose to bring Sam in, with Sam's introduction - and exit - being an amusing way to introduce a surprise new character.

...Then I proceeded to never really get any super strong story ideas for him lol. More detail on that in a second. I haven't forgotten him though, frustrates me that he keeps getting sidelined!

#163 - Training

Standard behind-the-scenes retail frustration humour here. I can neither confirm nor deny how much is based on my current employment. A little detail of authenticity/flavour is that they're watching a DVD intended for widescreen on an old non-widescreen TV that's clearly been in their staff room for at least a decade. Such was the case for my painful training videos too! (It's all online now as of a few years into when I started, so some progress has been made I guess).

#164 - Huh

It's not made clear yet, but the new status quo that Sam is a receptionist at a primary school is established here - the coloured hanging letter signage on the wall that is too perspective'd to read says "WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL".

I chose this as a job for her based simply on the fact that my Mum has often worked in school offices for most of my life. She wasn't a receptionist but it was the sort of job where I have some... vague enough memories of the "behind-the-scenes" enough to draw something along those lines when I needed to show Sam at work.

Getting back to Newt, obviously the goof here is that Cammie is just being a sore loser about her friend leaving and Newt is about the most cool-sounding interesting person you could imagine meeting. Unfortunately that involved specifically coming up with fun sounding stuff that are not super common to do or know people that do, so despite the super interesting combo of cave-diving, stand-up and polyamory these are all things I feel like I'd have to do thorough research on to represent in the actual comic accurately... which is something I'd like to do but, time is finite and I have so much pre-existing experience with being a silly nonsense person. Would you believe it, there's another character in the comic for whom that experience lends itself very well!!

Speaking of whom, the first appearance of the bell on the door in Repeat 1 Records was only a month after Cammie got the job. She works fast!

How to Kill Demons Masterpiece no. 2 Cut off the ears, stuff them in the nose, and then kill them. Cut off the fingers and put them up there butt and then kill them. It's smelly but just do it. Attach a female Demons boobs on a male Demon to make a shemale Demon and then kill it. Use a lot of tools and bend the body and then tie there hair around there heels to kill them. Cut all the pink stuff out of their mouths and feed it to doggies. Stab there eyeballs with toothpicks and kill them.

How to Kill Demons Masterpiece no. 3 Cut off 1 centimeter every day so that they die super slow. Pour 999 degree water onto their eyeballs to kill them. Stuff them into the dryer and turn it on. Imprison a bunch of them and make them kill each other! Kill them all! Kill kill kill killy kill kill!

How to Kill Demons Masterpiece no. 4 Tie the tongue with a rope and tie it to a really fast car to kill them. Nail a hundred gazillion nails onto them in a cool pattern and then they die. Make them drink a lotta water and then lock them in the freezer. Make them eat their own poopoo and kill them with fire. Ta-daa! They'll never expect it!

How would you describe your style?

Hm. That's always a hard question for me. Mine is a bit more cartoony and certainly takes liberties when it comes to how realistic it is, but at the same time I try to get things close to accurate (such with anatomy and detail and whatnot).

I can't find words that pinpoint what my style looks like, but I can certainly find the inspirations that got it to where it is now. (Anime and various animations!)

Since we're speaking of my style though, fun fact: I CAN'T for the life of me imitate other people's art styles. It'll always look really similar to my regular art style, just changed up a bit. I see challenges were people imitate different art styles and realize, "Wow! That's cool! How the HELL did they do that!!"

17. What do you love getting compliments about?

When it comes to art? Anything, to be honest. Hell, I'm happy if people reblog my art without any tags. (Although, once or twice, I've gotten an "inspo" or a keysmash or a slight ramble and that really made my day.)

What I like most though is feedback on my OCs. I'm honestly rather bad at character design, and I love knowing what people think about them. Alas, people hardly see my OC art...when I do post it. </3

22. What inspires you?

MANY THINGS, my friend. Some things have made lifelong shifts on my art style (ex: the shading under the chin technique I use is derived from the anime Black Clover!), but most often, I get inspired to draw a specific thing.

Music often inspires me- especially vocaloid, and especially if there's art featured in the video. One of my favorite vocaloid songs is Reckless Battery Burns and I'm obsessed with the MV in it.

TV and movies inspire me, too. I adore the Owl House and have noticed some completely unintentional similarities between Hunter and one of my own characters! Also, bringing back Black Clover, there's a lot of worldbuilding from Masked inspired from that anime.

Books inspire me too! A good example of that is my Shapeshifter/Badgeseller 1984 comic. Another series that gives me inspiration is the Giver series by Lois Lowry (not just the first book, the entire thing, all four books). Ooh, and also the Pandava series (or the Aru Shah series, I don't fully know what to call it). Writing is cool! :)

Secret question: 20. A piece from this year that you're really proud of!

Most of my art this year is Shadow Rift, haha...let me see what I can find.

^ This one is a good starting point! This one was me playing around with lighting. I found a new technique to use with my art program, and was just messing around with it. So I paid less attention to the background and colors to do so. Here's a fraction of a screenshot I took when I realized just how good it was!

I was going to compare it to another one of Shadow Rift's pieces, but I realized that discussion would be too long. And would ruin the magic of the piece I was comparing. Whatever.

Next one has bright colors!

I was mostly playing around with colors and proportions on this one, and I really like the turnout. This is the rare piece of Doodle OC art. Her name is Krystll, and YES I will infodump about her if asked.

And, for the final thing I'm super proud of, that Shapeshifter/Badgeseller 1984 comic. Go look at it again, if you want to. :)

I’m enjoying TLSN so far! I am wondering what type of role Shoko will have in this fic because I feel like she doesn’t get a lot of credit sometimes :< I have been following you since BTL so I have to wonder how you will write Gojo & Geto too, bc I know you can write some really scary interpretations of characters haha.

oh hey long-term reader!! 🫶 this will be a very long response because i like to ramble and because character development is just a fun deep dive.

so let’s get into it.

firstly, it’s important to be reminded that this is pre-canon but it’s also canon divergent (suguru hasn’t gone a certain direction)—and everyone is aged 22-23 in this story which is a time of young adult discovery, understanding how you are, how the world is and finding your way. this can go either way for people, so we’re playing around with those sorts of concepts here.

i’ve written shoko in to be a genuinely good friend because i think she is; she looks out for those she cares about in this fic, makes them feel included, can talk about anything and her place is the main hangout because she’s the binding glue friend. she absolutely does not get neglected in this story. ♡

satoru is initially written for how he simply is: generous, caring, outgoing, laidback and a bit of an ass sometimes, but he’s still young so he has room to learn. former class clown turned teacher type beat.

so when i’m writing darker character concepts such as yandere, i try to take the good and turn it into the sinister in a careful way, not necessarily bad but it will depend on the character. we already know that satoru had a serious childhood and that’s why he acts immature, but what if he was also just a bit entitled? what if he felt certain actions and feelings were owed, while keeping up the good side? he wouldn’t show it initially, but it would build up until he does something he regrets.

suguru on the other hand was a bit more of a difficult write. i had to essentially partially drop how he was when he went rogue, while keeping some of the old personality to write into young adulthood. he’s got a bit of a quieter, elusive, reserved but also deeply caring personality as a result.

this can initially be misinterpreted as uncaring as rude, especially with how he will process his own feelings during the fic but he always picks up on the small details when the reader talks, pays attention to her body language and in general slowly grows infatuated while handling things like jealousy, a slowly growing disdain towards regular civilians (mentioned during the bully talks in chapter 2) and actually allowing himself to grow close to a person.

i think both characters are both written in equally frightening ways imo. satoru’s intentions are harder to read into because he gives himself a caring/carefree mask which makes it all that much more sinister, whereas suguru who is a harder read will be confusing the entire road until he isn’t.

as such, we are left with a perfectly toxic insight into playing with the reader and the low self esteem she’s trying to cover up while trying to fit in, because she has no idea what real friendships are supposed to look like, let alone relationships because her own parents’ relationship is also strained.

so while this isn’t quite as horrific as BTL if you’re coming from that background, it still isn’t going to be pretty, the feelings have a motive, the actions have a cause, but nothing about this has good intentions from the start.

which i think personally, makes those kind interactions from the earlier chapters all the more horrific.

This round of Starbucks Prompt roulette was a short one because we were too chatty haha. Only 2 ficlets but one has spawned a whole new verse for this blog so there’s that.

Characters: Tifa & Zack                     Prompt: Boss & Employee

“Hey, quit flirting!”

When the damp towel was playfully whipped over Zack’s hair, he winked at the girl whose drink he pushed forward, accepting the hefty tip she slid his way, not wondering whether or not he’d get her number later. She’d expect him to ask, but he wouldn’t.

Tucking the cash into his apron, he moved to another female patron, pretending he didn’t hear Tifa’s sigh in the background. Was he flirting? Yes, but it was all in good, innocent, money making fun and she knew it.

“Just making that cash money money money,” he muttered as he reached for two bottles of colorful liquor, making a show of pouring them in front of the giddy bridal party who now crowded the bar of 7th Heaven’s new location Edge. They had cornered the market on alcohol and studly bartenders (if he did say so himself), and the more the planet recovered, the more of a destination they became.

Bridal parties were his favourite.

“Well make those drinky drink drink drinks,” she replied, bending to reach into the lower fridge to procure some juice. Zack leaned back a bit, discreetly admiring the view she provided. By the time she stood, putting on her own show of bartending for a kindly regular, Zack’s gaze was off of her and back on the gil the maid of honor was folding and sliding into his suspenders.

Another girl who thought he would dishonor her after his shift. But she’d be long gone by the time he punched his clock, and he wouldn’t be chasing any skirts. There were kids upstairs, after all, and only one woman he had his eyes on.

Even if she didn’t know it. Maybe she’d never know it.

The music was loud tonight, the crowd thick with celebration. It was Friday night and things were looking up for everyone. The hard working were taking a load off from the week, the young crowd were socializing, mingling and maybe even scouting out a favourite mistake. The partiers were, well, partying.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. With every shot Tifa slid down the bartop, the cheers grew louder. She’d never lost her skill, the efficiency, the showmanship. She was a crowd pleaser and she didn’t need to use her body to do it. She could have, but she didn’t. It was something Zack loved about her. The skills she worked for were enough for her, they brought her success in their own ways both in combat, in bartending, and in keeping their family of misfits strong.

Zack Fair also didn’t have to use his body to please the crowd, but with a flex and a charming grin, the ladies nearly swooned as he presented their “just one glass” and he thought, it was nice.

Slipping the bodyguard a hefty sum, Marie ShinRa punched the alarm code of her penthouse suite and the two of them left, her to the lift and him to security to have these tapes scrubbed.

It was a fairly regular task for him.

Under the cover of the night, she hailed a taxi, and when she exited into the alleyway, the driver asked no questions, the money in his hands giving him a bout of sudden onset amnesia. He didn’t even know who she was. She could have been any young blonde.

In the alley, a door, and through the door, a tunnel. Once she closed the door behind her, she abandoned her decorum and ran.

He was back. It had been two months since she’d last seen him and her heart ached so badly it nearly bled inside her chest. She couldn’t ask about his wellbeing. He was a SOLDIER and her father kept her on a short leash, dictating her social circle.

Zack Fair was certainly not a suitable friend, nevermind a suitable lover.

But when they collided in the tunnel, lit by the tiny neon mako lights, they found they suited each other perfectly, the president be damned. They didn’t need to see or to hear, just to feel. The reunion was electric, all hands in hair and mouths on flesh, a ravenous, joyous reintroduction.

“Do not leave me again," she breathed, his arms around her, pulling her close, face buried in her shoulder, savoring her scent. Zack didn’t respond, closing his eyes and memorizing the way she felt in his arms. He couldn’t make that promise. She was girl who got everything she ever asked for, except for that. He didn’t have control over what he did or where he went or for how long. All he could do was ensure he always returned to her but even then, they both knew that being a SOLDIER was a young man’s job and men weren’t young forever.

Retirement was not an option.

“I missed you,” he said instead, lifting his head and holding her face in his hands. Damnit, she was so cute.

“I couldn’t wait for tomorrow,” she whispered, beaming up at him, “I couldn’t wait another moment to see you.”

With a gentle kiss to her forehead, he agreed with a hum. He’d sleep much better tonight having met with her, knowing she was safe and for the moment, still his.

The footsteps on the damp cobblestone set him on alert and he focused his ears, but it was Marie who tightened her grip on him. He felt her temperature rise, the goosebumps rise to the surface of her arms. She was frightened.

“So this is where you’ve been sneaking off to, little sister. A secret lover? How….cliché.”

Frozen in place, her gaze was set like a deer in headlights, adrenaline spiking, panic setting in.

hello! i hope you’re doing well so far ❤️ i was wondering if i could have some headcanons of the bucci gang with their fem! crush who’s usually on the reserved side when she joins the team but they later find out she’s actually not as reserved? for context, let’s say the reader was hanging out with some of her close friends on one of her days of (i doubt this could happen on a regular basis considering how being in the mafia is time consuming) and when she sees the bucci gang also out in public, she invites them to join the group. the bucci gang initially assume that this hangout with the reader and her friends is gonna be chill and reserved, but NOPE THEY THOUGHT WRONG. they don’t cause major trouble in public, but the reader and her friend group is just a bit…chaotic. at one point, the reader and one of their friends hears their favorite song playing in pubic, and they full on dance to it, not caring if anyone was watching. if they’re out in some parking garage (or a place where there’s barely any people, the group will pretend to make moaning noises (LMAO 😭). and in those apple stores (let’s just pretend this all takes place in the modern world instead of 2001 😂), the reader and her friend group will just go out and change all the computers, phones, ipads, etc. backgrounds into cursed image while laughing about it. yeah, just overall, the bucci gang finding out the reader is secretly hella chaotic (and the only reason she was just reserved was due to how serious being in the mafia is). btw, i kid you not, some of things i listed here were actual things me, my cousins, and some friends did when we hung out. we were at the mall and in the parking garage, for a few minutes, we made fake moaning noises, and we went into an apple store and we changed some of the backgrounds into cursed photos 😂💀 sorry if this is a bit too long haha. ty!!

Giorno Giovanna

Giorno thinks you’re a perfect addition to the gang. You’re helpful and understanding of him. Giorno is also reserved so he likes to stay by your side a lot of the time.

He developed a crush on you over time as you were put on missions with each other. He got to know you very well. 

One day you asked if he would like to join you and your friends at the mall then a movie after at your friends. Not missing this opportunity to spend more time with you he agrees.

Giorno wore a different colored suit seeing as his usual one was bloodied from today’s mafia work. He wore your favorite color not that you noticed he did.

At the mall you and Giorno headed toward your friend group. He was happy for you because he saw how excited they were to see you. When you introduced him he thought it was nice that they each introduced themselves.

While you’re all wondering the mall you and your friends realize your favorite song is playing and all sing along to it excitedly. You begin dancing along with them. Giorno will give a small smile and he’ll give you a smile when you pull him along to dance. He’ll gladly join.

Your friend needed a charger and decided to buy one from the apple store. More hilarity ensues when you all decide to change all the computers, phones, ipads, and backgrounds into cursed images while laughing about it. Giorno was both curious and amused. I think he’d lightly chuckle about it. He wouldn’t expect the image you all chose but he’s definitely laughing at the scene.

Giorno was surprised by the moaning noises you and your friends made at the empty parking lot. You’re all so carefree and fun. His eyes widened upon hearing your false moans he blushed a bit about it and his mouth is agap (Like this👇) he’ll be thankful no one saw

All in all Giorno is very surprised by some of the actions of you and your friends. He’ll admire how much fun you and your friends have together. He’s going to think it was fun when you all started dancing. He’ll think your singing is cute.

As for his thoughts on you he’ll think that its nice you’ve got a carefree and extroverted side. He wasn’t expecting some of it. He’ll be embarrassed about your false moans and blushes when he thinks about it after today. He hopes you’ll continue to be carefree and extroverted around him.

Bruno Bucciarati

Bruno respects your hard work you display while on the job with him. He is thankful having another companion such as yourself. Your introverted side doesn’t bother him in the slightest he thinks it’s admirable. 

He develops a crush on you since he enjoys all his conversations with you. He admires your personality and your hard work ethic.

You invite Bruno along with you and your friends to a shopping trip. He had free time on his hands so he gladly accepted. He couldn’t wait to spend more time with you. He’ll be sure to make a good impression on your friends while he’s at it.

He’s happy to see how joyous you and your friends are being together again. They greet Bruno with a carefree, “Hi” or “Hey!”. He greeted them like such a gentlemen they were all taken back a bit but smiled nonetheless.

Bruno was looking at watches while you and your friends were looking at clothing nearby. When a particular song plays in the store you and your friends immediately sing and dance together. Bruno was surprised but he’ll laugh and smile. He thought nothing of it. He’s used to Mista and Narancia doing the same.

At the apple store Bruno didn’t realize you and your friends were switching out the background photos on all the devices. Not his humor but he is smiling at the shenanigans. Nothing new for him. He’s thinking about Narancia about now as he is watching with an amused smile.

At the parking lot with no people around he enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere so when you and your friends loudly moan then laugh afterwards, he’s very shocked. His blue eyes are huge. He was surely surprised by your actions as well as your friends. After the shock he’s going to smile at the fun you’re having. As long as you’re happy he is too. 

Bruno wasn’t expecting your actions today. He’ll make a teasing comment but its light hearted. He will like to see more of your extroverted side in the near future. The fact that you’re so carefree really makes him happy for you. It’s all he desires for his dearest crush.

Narancia Ghirga

Narancia thinks you’re a lot of fun to be around. He will think as a team mate you’re reliable and he’s always glad to be paired with you. Your introverted side is very much the opposite of him so he’s liking the dynamic you both have. Your conversations are a lot of fun because of this.

He has such a big crush on you because you’re understanding and patient with him. You’re kind and ready to help. He finds you to be so admirable.

When you invite him with your friends to the mall he’s beaming with delight. He’ll be so excited and gladly accept your invitation. He hopes he’ll get to spend more time with you.

You’re all chatting about when you and your friends pause realizing what song is playing. Narancia is understandablely confused until and of you break out in song and dance.

Narancia will be very impressed he’s going to be joining with his own impressive dance moves. He’ll even do the torture dance to which you and the others are begging him to teach. He happily obliged and teaches everyone outside of the store.

After learning the torture dance you’re all in the Apple store now. Narancia was bored until he heard you and your friends giggling. He notices what is going on and joins in laughter. He’s going to want to help all of you change the background photos of all the devices in the store to cursed images.

Everyone is laughing hard afterwards before leaving the store where the poor apple employees are left with said images on the devices in the place.

At the empty parking lot Narancia is lightly dancing as he’s following behind since he has a song stuck in his head. He does a double take when you and your friends make loud false moans. He finds it absolutely hilarious and is joining in. You and your friends are commending him. They compliment his dancing and hope to see him again.

Narancia is thinking how awesome you are as well as your friends. His crush for you grows deeper and he believes you two would make the perfect couple. He’s brewing up a couple ways to ask you out after today. However he is surprised you’re more laid back and fun than he thought you were. After thinking it over it made since why you’re more serious at work. He’s incredibly happy learning you’re as carefree as himself. He finds it very attractive.

Guido Mista

He’s thinking you’re pretty attractive and bad ass. He’s thankful you’re a good team mate and not some dirt bag mafioso. He’s also super thankful you’re paired with him on missions many times because he gets to flirt with you and tries impressing you. Your fast friends but he also grew a fat crush on you.

Mista grew a crush on you because you’re dedicated to him and the others. You’ll do whatever you can to help. You’re also protective so he finds all these qualities attractive.

You invite Mista with you and your friends to the mall so he’s looking forward to it. He’s going to try impressing you at all costs. He’s also going to make a flirting comment wondering if it’s a date. You don’t think much of it and laugh it off. You explain the plan to him.

At the mall Mista is pretty happy for you. He’s thinking you and all your friends make a wonderful group. He wasn’t expecting it from you or your friend group but you’re all pretty carefree. When they introduce themselves to him they each compliment his outfit. Expressing how they like fashion because it isn’t mainstream. Something he was grinning about since most people mock his fashion sense.

Mista is having a blast especially when he joins in on the dancing when you and your friends randomly decide to do so. Afterwards when you complimented his dancing he offered to teach you the torture dance. You agreed and Mista set up a time with you for a different day together.

At the Apple store Mista is thinking how boring it is until he notices you giggling. When he asks, you explain how your friends decided to put cursed images on all the photo backgrounds of devices in the store. Mista wasn’t expecting it. If the image is funny he’s laughing but if it isn’t his humor he’ll simply say he likes the act in itself and approves.

When you’re all leaving the mall and notice how empty the parking lot is your friends are taking advantage of it including yourself. Mista’s mouth drops at hearing all of your fake moans. He’s particularly flabbergasted by your fake moans. He’s not sure what to say but he does find it funny. He’ll laugh about it later but at the moment he’s stunned. This was the last thing he’d ever expect from you.

Your friends enjoyed his presence and expressed it to him before leaving. They also compliment his dancing. Mista’s ego is definitely boosted.

All in all Mista is pleasantly surprised by your carefree side. It makes his crush for you deepen. He’s wanting to see more of it. He hopes he can get you to be like that more often. He’s looking forward to more dancing with you as well.

Leone Abbacchio

He thinks you’re a blessing to have in the gang because you’re not annoying and get the job done. Your no nonsense attitude is also a plus and he also finds it attractive.

He grew a crush on you when you showed him exactly how you get the job done no questions asked. He also admires your care for him. It’s your best quality yet and he won’t let it go unappreciated though he is a tsundere at times so he’s not going to outright express his feelings to you.

He’s pleased when you invite him with your friends. He’ll simply give you a small grin and a “sure”. He wants to be around you more so this is his opportunity.

When he meets your friends they weren’t what he was expecting. They’re carefree and are giving you a group hug. He thinks it’s nice that you’ve got a group of friends outside of Passione.

He is wondering how you met a bunch of carefree individuals when he notices they’re all looking at him. They introduce themselves with such kindness. It’s very nice.

Inside the mall you’re all looking over a bargain bin while Abbacchio is looking at CD’s nearby. A new song is playing in the store causing you and your friends to gush then dance. Abbacchio is thinking how cute you look dancing but he’s pleasantly surprised by it. He’s blushing about it a bit.

At the Apple store your friends snicker while changing the photo backgrounds to cursed images. You join along upon realizing what they’re up to. Meanwhile Abbacchio is thinking what you’re all up to. He stood behind all of you and figures it out immediately. He simply huffs and leans against the wall. He’ll begin listening to music until you’re done. When he glances up he realizes how fun you’re all having and lightly smiles. When you all notice him you drag him to another store. He’s never been dragged like this before. He’s allowing it because you’re holding his hand.

In the quiet parking lot Abbacchio raises a brow upon witnessing you and your friends making loud fake moaning noises then laughing about it. He’ll be a stick in the mud about it for sure but he’s secretly flustered about hearing the noises you made. He’s excellent at hiding it though.

Your friends tell him they hope to see him again and how happy they were spending time with you as well. Abbacchio thought it was a nice sight seeing you and your friends in a group hug.

All in all he thinks you and your friends are immature but he’s kinda used to it. He did get annoyed when all of you made fake noises but he can easily let it go. However he does think it’s nice you’re all enjoying yourselves. It reminds him of his friends so it’s nice to him too.

He’s surprised you’re so carefree and outgoing a revelation that makes him hope you’ll show that side more around him. He’s wanting to learn everything there is about you. He understands working for Passione can be shitty which is why you’re so serious. It made sense to him and he would like to see more of your true self whenever he can. He’s also not going to stop thinking about how you held his hand.

Fugo Panacotta

Fugo admires your effortless work you do when getting a job done. You’re reliable, loyal, and easy to get along with.

He easily grew a crush on you for all your admirable qualities. He also enjoys being around you.

Fugo was surprised you’d invite him with you and your friends to the mall. He thought it would be a nice trip. Though he would never be prepared for all the chaos that would ensue.

He is sure to shake all their hands and get their names upon meeting them. It was so formal that your friends will be a bit stunned but accept it immediately after.

Fugo thinks it’s sweet how excited they were seeing you. They gave you a group hug. You even held some of their hands.

In one of the stores a song plays and all of you begin dancing to it. Fugo will smile and chuckle when he sees you dancing. You invite him over ready to witness his dance moves. He surprises all of you by being a good dancer. He thought it was a lot of dancing with all of you.

In the Apple store he’ll simply roll his eyes playfully but he won’t say a word simply nod your direction while you and your friends change the backgrounds to all the devices. The cursed images made for a funny site to see. All of you were laughing. Fugo thought it was nice to see you so carefree and extroverted. He never got to see that from you before. He’ll smile despite how ridiculous he thinks the situation is.

Later on in the parking lot your friends start letting out fake moans and you join in and do the same. Your laughter made him blush but your false moans turned his face into a red hue.

Fugo never suspected you to be this carefree it’s fun but also a pleasant one. He’s not sure how to react at first but after he collects his thoughts it’s admirable to him despite not having the same humor. Your friends give him goodbyes before leaving. Fugo kindly returns the goodbye.

All in all Fugo will think it’s nice you’re carefree and outgoing as you are. He wished he knew sooner so he could dance with you more. He will work on bringing that more out of you. He wants you to express yourself always and is ready to support it.

Sayaka transformation - Magia Record game

It’s a really fun transformation!

I love how all the other magi are included here too. I think its because Sayaka always has a link to them in the different timelines. I find it funny how regular Homura is here instead of the usual Magireco glasses Homura. Probably because Glasses Homura didn’t interact with Sayaka much (until the magireco anime now haha). The way Homura doesn’t touch her at all and simply chucks her away in the blanket may link to their rocky relationship

Each area with each magi also seems to have things in the background that link to them. Mami has tea tables, teacups, sugar bowl and lemons. I like to think the lemons reference a piece of merchandise called ‘Lemon and Mami’~!

Its funny how the background of Mami’s bit is orange like Mami but everyone else's is blue for Sayaka. I think this could be because of Mami’s strong influence on Sayaka.

In Madoka’s area, in the background are windows which is a link to Ultimate Madoka in Rebellion.

Homura’s area has a bed and is full of mirrors with what look like fish in the background. Looking at just the anime series, it makes me think of the wall hangings in Homura’s room (of Walpurgisnacht) and the bed in Homura’s hospital room. Though in a Rebellion view, it could be the images of Witches Homura passes by once she realises the world is a fake. For the bed, when Homura falls into despair and gains her black dress, there’s a hospital-like bed in the area where she speaks with Kyubey. (and the fish are an obvious Sayaka link because of her water theme and Oktavia)

Kyoko’s area seems to have chairs in which I find strange since Madoka’s usually the one linked to chairs. My only idea is a little morbid since Kyoko’s father hung himself. I’ll let you figure out the rest..

I find it really cool that with each throw of Sayaka, she gains a new magi costume piece.

It’s nice to see mermaid Sayaka at the beginning. She was also very briefly seen in the anime but less so her tail. Here’s some concept art of her
