another from the same WIFS album! this was my most listened to track on that album, though not the most listened by the band overall. actually just learned, as i was grabbing lyrics off genius, that it's an adaptation of a narrative poem. neat!

my part of an DnD-collab with the phantastic @jezmmart, whose lovely artwork of his druid Willow and my bard Ophelia you can see here.

A hem, ripped at the last minute, led a nervous young druid to a small garments shop.

the owner was too busy with another customer (with obviously deeper pockets), and wouldn't even look at her while she explained her predicament.

A bard who was browsing through the good and witnessed the scene had mercy on her.

On her way to a mirror the halfelf snatched needle and yarn from a working table and asked the fidgeting druid to step on a floor cushion.

while the damage gets repaired with quick and secure stitches, both have little chat - about stage costumes that constantly need repairing, about upcoming events that call for formal wear, how living in a big city can be exciting and exhausting at the same time.

"there's no need to be nervous dear. you look gorgeous. everyone who doesn't agree, is neither worth your time nor your attention."

a little ember of self-confidence began to shine in the druids heart, hopefully warming her a little for the rest of the night.

the last stitch is done and right on time bard and druid are ushered out of the door.
