Never Been Kissed
Morpheus/Dream of the Endless x GN!Reader
Summary: Morpheus cannot possibly wait another moment to let you know how he feels about you. What happens when it appears that you don't reciprocate?
Word count: 2.0k
Author's note: Shitty summary, sorry, but you know the scene in Barbie (2023) where Ken goes to kiss Barbie after the party and she just stands there?
Tumblr media
This one? Yeah I got it into my head that it would be funny if eternal drama queen Morpheus was in Ken's position.
Clueless!reader, innocent!reader. This is just a kinda stupid, goofy little fic, idk. If you liked it, I'd appreciate hearing from you! If you didn't like it, sound off as well! My haters are my motivators.
P.S. You might be saying "the Endless aren't allowed to love mortals it leads to their ruin!" And I say that this is my fic so I decide the rules. Buckle up babes.
Tumblr media
Death would say that he is head over heels.
Desire would say that it is boringly predictable and far too soon.
Lucienne would not say anything, but she would give him that look over the top of her glasses, the one that says that he had better know what he is doing.
Matthew would say that he is down bad, which is apparently what the youth of today are saying.
They are all right, though Morpheus, Dream of the Endless, wishes they were not. Despite his very best efforts, he has fallen in love once more. With a mortal, a human—you.
Morpheus has never had much luck in love. Though there were a few occasions (very, very few) where it was not his fault, he is mature enough to understand that he has often been the cause of a relationship’s demise. He falls hard and fast, and he always has. That, combined with his…intensity, is what he believes to doom him each and every time. Perhaps he gives too much of himself to those who don’t deserve it; perhaps he shows his hand too quickly.
But you, he knows, are different. You won’t hurt him, not in the way that others have. You won’t take him for granted.
Tonight, he has decided that he will finally confess to you his affections. He will bare his realm to you, the parts that no normal dreamer will ever get to see, and hope that you understand that this is akin to him baring his very soul. After all, he is the Dreaming, and the Dreaming is him.
But where to take you? What to show you? Morpheus agonized over these questions for far longer than he would care to admit. Although he hoped to be able to accompany you to the farthest reaches of his realm (a tall task, considering said realm was infinite), to explore so much of the Dreaming with you that he rediscovered lands he had long forgotten about, this first foray needed to be perfect. He needed something special, something that conveyed to you the depth of his feelings.
He decided to start with something simple that most people would like to see: Athens, and specifically the Acropolis, as it was in its glory days. For all of the animosity Morpheus felt towards the Greek pantheon, he had to admit that they, and their worshippers, contributed much to society and humanity as a whole. Next was a glimmering lake that was actually the moon’s surface, followed by a glen in what could be the Scottish highlands populated by dragons—he found himself particularly pleased by your stunned awe upon seeing the mythical creatures.
The penultimate stop was one that Morpheus took great pride in thinking up, for he knew that it would be your favorite. A visit to a fae village, exiled by Titania and given sanctuary in the Dreaming (solely due to Morpheus’s dislike of their monarch), enjoying a Harvest celebration. They were harmless creatures in the Dreaming, devoid of any of the power that fae normally possessed, so Morpheus did not feel any hesitation in allowing you to explore the festivities. Above all else, the fae love a good party, so it was not surprising when a few invited you to join them in dancing, pulling you along with them until you were spinning and twirling as though you had always known the fae folk dance. You reached for him, mouthing “Come dance with me!” but he gently rebuffed you with a shake of his head and a smile, happy to simply watch the way you moved, with a grin on your face and boisterous laughter sounding just as lovely as the music playing.
What you had referred to as a “behind-the-scenes tour” ends in his private gardens, long a place of solace for him. Your excitement, your joy, fuels him. It’s palpable and intoxicating, and Morpheus wishes he could bottle it and keep it with him forever to give him just a hint of this feeling whenever he wants.
“This is…amazing. Your realm is amazing,” you gush, your eyes sparkling. “I feel like that word is such an understatement for what I’m trying to describe, but it’s the only one that comes to mind right now.”
“It pleases me to hear you think so.”
“Thank you for this. For trusting me,” you say sincerely.
Morpheus was right, you do understand the gift that this experience was meant to be. It makes the space in his chest cavity, where his heart would be if he allowed this form to have one, feel warm. It is only the the very least I could, no, would give you, he thinks.
You’re smiling so sweetly at him, the moon shining down like a spotlight and making you look the closest to holy that Morpheus will ever get. This is it, he realizes. This is the moment where he will tell you of his love for you, and where you will then reciprocate. This is the moment that he will commit to memory for the rest of eternity until his sister locks up the universe behind her. This is the moment that you become his, and he yours.
There is so much that Morpheus wants to say to you, yet he knows not where to begin. An unfamiliar feeling swells within him—nervousness. What if he says the wrong thing, what if he scares you off with his intensity before he can truly say what he wants to say? No, best to show you how he feels before telling you, that way there is no doubt. With that, Morpheus leans in towards you and closes his eyes, waiting to feel his lips on yours.
That feeling does not come, and Morpheus belatedly realizes after a few moments that it will not come. When he opens his eyes and looks at you once more, you’re still standing in the same position that you were, still smiling, albeit looking a bit more confused
“Is something wrong?” you ask.
All of Morpheus’s plans, his hopes and…dreams, for lack of a better term, come crashing down around him. So you’ve rejected him, then. He has laid his heart bare for you, shown you parts of his realm that no other mortal has been lucky enough to see, and you’ve turned him down. This, he muses, is his fatal flaw. Mentally, he had already declared you his, crowned you his consort, and created an entire life with you.
But the Lord of Dreams should know better than anyone that it does no good to dwell on dreams, for they are nothing but fantasy and can lead only to heartbreak.
“It appears that I was wrong in thinking that my feelings were reciprocated,” he says lowly, looking out at a carefully cultivated rose bush that is rapidly wilting. An icy wind begins to whip up, stripping the bush of its dead petals and sending them swirling off into the night.
Shock, raw and unfiltered, crosses your face. “Oh! You wanted…to kiss me?”
Morpheus pauses at this odd question, for he did not think you to be so obtuse. Did he not make it obvious that that was what he was intending? Are you attempting to shame him further? “Yes? I apologize, since you have made clear that you do not harbor the same affection for me as I do for you.” He has to grit his teeth to keep from spewing anything more vicious, though lightning cracks across the sky and says what he cannot.
“No! I mean yes. I mean–” You take a breath and shake your head as though you’re trying to physically clear your thoughts. “Sorry. It’s just that I’ve never…been kissed. Before.”
The bad weather, which had been threatening since the moment he realized that he was wrong and tried desperately to hide the devastation that was threatening to overtake him, dies down so suddenly that it could have been turned off by some unseen entity hitting a switch.
“What.” It is certainly not proper of Morpheus to sound so shocked, especially when it’s regarding a topic that you are so clearly embarrassed about. But he simply cannot believe that someone like you, someone so delightful and open, so empathetic and, well, attractive, has never experienced intimacy from another before.
“I know, it’s super lame. People just…haven’t ever liked me in that way?” You shrug and add, “Just haven’t found the right person yet,” in a way that sounds so self-deprecating that it must be a line you’ve heard many times before.
“So you have never…”
You shake your head and look away in embarrassment. “No hand holding, no kissing, no dating. Nothing. Sorry to disappoint.”
It goes unsaid what else you haven’t done if those simple, basic acts of romance have been devoid from your life. From the way you brace yourself, you’re obviously expecting him to react negatively to the news, and he assumes that this is from experience. Instead, Morpheus finds that he does not mind in the slightest. No, this piece of information is…rather titillating, actually.
(Perhaps it’s the fact that this means you’re largely untouched by anyone, but specifically mortals, whom Morpheus has seen the worst of for over a hundred years. The filth of humanity has yet to mar you in such an intimate manner. Prior to today, Morpheus didn’t think that he had an innocence kink. Now? He’s starting to see why the gods and goddesses of old so favored virgins.)
He files this revelation away to be revisited later, when he can hope to be in complete control of his emotions and not have them divided by having the object of his affection standing right in front of him.
“I do not find myself disappointed,” he says.
Your eyes meet his once more, and he can see the hope you hold. “You don’t?”
He shakes his head. “It is not your fault that others have failed to properly see the magnificence standing before them.”
‘Magnificent’ does not even come close to doing any justice in describing you, Morpheus feels, but it will do for now.
“Morpheus,” you admonish half-heartedly and bashfully. You are obviously not used to receiving such compliments, which is precisely why Morpheus is now determined to make sure that you shall never go a day without hearing one.
“Would you be interested in such things with me?” Things, of course, being the list of activities you have never partaken in.
Slowly, a smile spreads on your face. “Really? You like me like that?”
Your naïvete is truly endearing. “I do. Am I correct in hoping that you feel the same?”
“Yeah. You’d be correct.”
“Then might I bestow upon you your first kiss?”
Somehow, your smile widens, and you nod. “I’d like that.”
Morpheus again leans towards you, but this time, his actions are reciprocated. Your lips against his are soft and a little clumsy against his, which is to be expected from someone who has absolutely no experience. The entire time, he can feel the way that you’re trying, and failing, to keep yourself from smiling.
It is by no means the best kiss that Morpheus has ever had. Yet, it will likely remain one of his most fond memories of such an action.
When you pull away, you’re giggling almost giddily. “That was really good,” you praise, as though discussing a book or a meal. It’s simultaneously not at all and exactly what Morpheus was expecting from you, and he can practically feel himself falling further for you.
Tonight will not be the night that he espouses his love for you. He will not whisper promises of the universe against your skin, and he will not whisk you away to his chambers so that he may properly ravish you. Instead, this relationship will be…slow. Although that is not something that Morpheus is used to, something that he’s familiar with, he finds that he is alright with the concept of taking things slow, so long as it is with you.

The Rebuild of Scott Pilgrim
Tumblr media
It's been ages since I used this page to give my wider thoughts on a thing, but I just finished Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and... hoo boy, holy shit, do I have Thoughts™ that I'm not sure where I can put elsewhere for now.
Spoiler free verdict tho? It's good. Damn good. Especially if you're aware of an enjoy the previous source material. It's got great character-writing, spectacular animation, and some very nice music, to name a few things.
And that's basically all I can talk about without dipping into spoilers, do without further ado...
The show starts off with a pretty faithful adaptation of the first issue of the original comic. We meet Scott, Wallace, Kim, Stephen, Knives, and everyone else and the story plays out as you might be familiar with. Although you do notice some slight differences from that original. Ramona working for Netflix instead of Amazon, an extended scene with the Evil Exes, and Scott talking about Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons during his first conversation with Ramona instead of Pac Man. Some changes you might see and go "Huh, neat" and then move on, simply thinking they were fun, if not inconsequential changes made during the adaptation.
But no. Those are just a small taster as to what's to come later.
As stated, the first episode adapts the first issue of the comic, right up until the fight with Matthew Patel. It goes as you expect, beat for beat almost, but then... Scott is seemingly killed off. Patel wins the fight, and not Scott.
As the title says, Scott Pilgrim has quite literally Taken Off. He is GONE for a majority of this series! Instead, the series chooses to focus on Ramona as the central protagonist.
And that's far from the only wild deviation the story takes too. If you're expecting a simple animated adaptation of the comic, this is very much not that. Bryan Lee O'Malley said that this was going to be a different take, and boy was he not kidding.
As Ramona tries to figure out what happened to her would-be suitor, we see her and the other characters in Scott's life take the spotlight, and even the Evil Exes get more of a shine this time around. Ramona getting a chance to talk with them and go deeper into their past and why she left them to begin with. They actually feel like characters and get actual characterization rather than simply being one-note (if not still entertaining) antagonists for Scott to beat and move on from. Not only that, characters like Kim, Neil, and even Knives get whole new story beats and arcs to explore. Even JULIE POWERS gets an interesting new wrinkle about her. The only downside there tho, due to the character/story reshuffling, is that folks like Envy Adams are relegated to the sidelines, unfortunately.
Not that Scott himself is left out entirely. He's still very much there. But they do something very interesting with him. Having him be the crux of a side plot surrounding the concept of age and what holding onto toxic feelings can do to us in the long term, even after the events of a happy ending, like the one he gained at the end of the original comic.
And if the post credits teaser at the end of the eighth episode is any indicator... we MIGHT be getting more of this? Maybe? We see a budding relationship between Gideon and Julie, with Julie seeming to have some more villainous intentions aside from just finding Scott to be an obnoxious loser. Especially as she seems to have aligned herself with Gideon for whatever reason.
All of this is of course, backed up by a fantastic performance from all of the returning movie actors and some killer animation from Science Saru. These have to be some of my favorite animated fight scenes in a good while. The one between Ramona and Roxy is an especially stellar standout I can see myself coming back to every now and then.
It's a wild series, I had one hell of a time with it, and I can't recommend it enough. Definitely give it a watch.

-Klitz x fem!reader/ Klitz x masc!reader
Tumblr media
Cheerleader!reader reader
Klitz likes you since freshmen year when you performed for the schools pep really!
You stood out from the other girls, you had something about you that drew him in closer
Senior year, english class is where you two would formally meet
the teacher picked partners for a scene analysis project of all the books you have this year or books before this year
and you we’re partnered with him
you greeted him with a warm smile and a wave, he could’ve sworn he melted on this inside
“I think we should so Romeo and Juliet since it has lots of symbolism we can build on…and I like it.” you laughed a bit at the end.
oh?
he thought you’d be more ditzy but he thought it was cute that you loved that Shakespeare classic
and hey, two unlikely lovers…like i don’t know…maybe you and him
You came to his house to work on the project! It very productive and you guys got to know each other!
After many study dates and hanging session, you asked him out!
at first he thought it was a joke
but you told him “Klitz you’re super smart and genuine and actually listen to me when I talk about smart stuff…plus you’re really really cute and I really like you as a person..you’re my type..”
He could’ve cried. We know Klitz thinks he’s ugly so to hear one of the most popular girls tell him he’s cute and her type. He’s in heaven.
Tells Matt and Eli, they’re both shocked. Eli is more jealous than Matt but they’re both happy for Klitz
When you go to school, walking hand in hand many were shocked. It’s Y/n and….who? Klitz? never really hear of him before.
You two realize your colleges are actually close each other! So going into college with this relationship will be easier <3 he loves it so much
feels on top of the world when you kiss his cheek in-front of the popular guys that liked you but like you said, he’s your type not them <3
Always comes to your practices and helps you stretch (his favorite part)
You bring him to cheer nationals and he hypes your up!
Need water? Here’s a cold water bottle! Feeling cold? Here’s your varsity jacket or would you like his? Oh you want his? You can have it!
Prom time, he think you look so beautiful in your dress <3
That night was the best ever. Slowing dancing with the love of your life and soon….the devil’s tango at your house ;)
He’s flustered when you tell your friends how amazing he is in bed and how big he is. Such an ego boost
voted the “weirdest couple” in the yearbook, submitted by Eli
Football player! reader
Okay let’s get this out of the way, Klitz is bisexual with a female lean
but when he sees you freshmen year, he’s swoon. The only people who know of his sexuality is Eli and Matthew
You look so handsome in your football uniform. He can’t help but stare <3
It’s now senior year and math class, he was surprised to see you in an advance math class but hey, it gives him a free pass to stare at you.
One day the teacher told Klitz to stay back, he didn’t know why he’s passing and he does well on his homework and tests
“I need you to tutor Mr. Y/n L/n, you have had the best grades all year and he’s starting to slip. I know he has football but he needs good grades to be able to play and graduate.”
Are you for real…? He gets to help you… just you two alone??? YESSS <3
You two meet up in the school library. You guys had a scheduled time. 5 minutes pass and you’re still not there. Gosh are you not gonna show up…? His only chance to-
“Hey! I’m so sorry dude! Practice was running later and I wanted to shower first so I don’t smell like grass and sweat.” you panted, sitting next to him, hair still a bit wet
God you looked so hot…anyways Klitz introduced himself and the two of you went to work
You were actually pretty chill to talk to and you guys actually have a lot in common. You two start to hang out more, sometimes inviting Eli and Matt along.
But the one night would be different. Klitz went to your house as planned for him to stay the night. He walked to your room and heard crying .
He came in and asked what was wrong
“Klitz..I don’t know what’s going on but…I find myself..thinking about you a lot and I…I think I like you..I’m so sorry..” you sobbed at the end
Klitz didn’t know what to say, he was shocked yet so happy. He came over and hugged you, “Hey…it’s okay Y/n…if I’m gonna be honest, I-I like you too…I always have..”
You turned to him asking if he was serious, he nodded his head yes. You couldn’t help but kiss him. Klitz embraced the kiss and it went on for a bit
Let’s say that night was filled of tears, kisses, confessions, and cuddles
But the only problem was school. You two didn’t know if everyone would accept you two, but you didn’t care, you wanted to show off your amazing, nerdy boyfriend
You will beat the shit out of anyone who insults him, you, or your guy’s relationship. Seeing that you do this, everyone respects you two and doesn’t try to start a fight with you
Klitz will ALWAYS come to your games, he’s your cheerleader <3
after winning or losing games Klitz runs to you and you pick him up as he showers you in praise and kisses. Even if you guys lost the game horribly, your boyfriends kisses made it much better <3
Prom night was kinda nerve wracking for you two, but when the both of you slowed danced together, it was like only you two were there
and later that night was…different yet special. It’s canon that Klitz is huge but you’re just as impressive and you made him feel so loved that night <3
IDC what anyone says Klitz bottoms for you <3 he likes to I won’t take constructive criticism on this
He’s brains and you’re brawn, no one can stop you two <3 Eli and Matt are so happy to see their best friend happy
in the year book as “class couple” y’all look so cute <3

“Jealousy is all the fun you think they had.”
- Erica Jong
You loved whenever Matthew invited you to set for Criminal Minds especially when it was for the episodes that he directed. Those were his favorite, you loved to watch his eyes light up as he told the actors what emotions they should be expressing for this particularly scene and when he told the cameraman to pan the camera down as the actress wept and fell to her knees. You loved to see your boyfriend in his nature element, he was born to be an actor and you were there to support him in every single acting job and adventure that he embarked on.
But this, you did not love to see.
Matthew had just invited you on set for a Netflix movie called Horse Girl that he had a small role in, you loved to see him work so of course you agreed to go with him, without even knowing what scene he was about to make you watch.
He knew you were the jealous type, right, RIGHT?
You knew the struggles of maintaining a relationship among actors, you being one yourself, but after 3 years of dating you had gotten use to the crazed teenager fan girls for the one and only Dr. Spencer Reid. Though you never experienced the feeling of jealously whenever you visited him on Criminal Minds because Spencer didn’t have many sexy scenes that you could have gotten jealous from.
But this ohhh, you had the slightest of inklings that Matthew knew exactly what he was doing when he invited you to set that day. You knew that he wanted to watch you squirm. Push your buttons to where you were at the point of walking off the set, but your legs betrayed you as you couldn’t help but watch the scene that unfolded in front of you.
That chain, That Stupid Fucking CHAIN
He just had to wear it to set that day. You watched it dangle back and forth as he relentlessly pounded into Alison Brie, his co-star, a sight that you were accustomed to. (Although it was always you that he was pounding into not some actresses) You would usually tug on it as he pounded into YOU, curses slipping from your lips as you felt his fingers rub circles on your clit, begging you to “come for daddy” which you did like the good girl you were for him.
You think that that’s what pissed you off most about watching the sex scene. The thought that you should be the only one to see him like this, the only one privileged enough to watch him as he experienced euphoria, the only one able to make him come undone.
You couldn’t stop yourself from raking your eyes up and down his shirtless torso, a sight that you swore you could never get enough of. You lifted your eyes back up to look at his face, loving the way his stubble perfectly accentuated his chiseled jawline. The one that you would tease him about, telling him that he was like a work of art, joking that his jawline was sculpted by Michelangelo himself. And those lips that you told him were gifts from Aphrodite herself.
You adored this man
As soon as the director yelled “CUT” you smiled gently at Matthew and gave him two thumbs to tell him that he did a great job, too good of a job in your opinion. You turned on your heels away from the sound stage and began to walk to Matthews trailer.
You were ashamed of yourself for getting jealous from his acting but also by the fact that you were extremely turned on right now. To the point where you could feel your arousal through the thin fabric of your leggings. You began to mumble curses at yourself as soon as you entered the trailer, slamming the door shut behind you. How were you going to explain yourself to Matthew when he asked you why you practically ran away from set?
Oh, I’m sorry that I”m acting like the spoiled little brat that I truly am
I’m the only one you should be destroying, not her
Not Her
Knocking you out of your thoughts, was a gentle hand being placed on your shoulder, who you immediately recognized as your loving boyfriend Matthew. Which only made you feel worse about running off of set. You turned to face him, your cheeks flushed from both embarrassment and arousal, you couldn’t place the look on his face, but as soon as your saw his plump lips turn into a smirk and you locked eyes with him. You saw how dilated his pupils were, you knew exactly how he felt.
Turned on
It was like you two didn’t even have to communicate with words, because just with a couple of seconds of staring into each other's eyes you knew exactly what was in store for you.
You began to choke slightly as he applied just the right amount of pressure against your throat as he pushed your front against the trailer door. Releasing his grip on your throat, he raked his hands up and down your torso till they landed on the curve of your hips.
“Jealousy is an ugly color on you” he whispered in your ear as he roughly thrust his impressive bulge into your backside leaving you a whimpering mess as he bought one of his hands up from your hip back to your throat, squeezing tightly exactly like he knew you loved.
“Do you know how embarrassing it was for me to see you run off of set, getting questioned by Alison, wondering why you didn’t want to meet her,” he began to shout into your ear, tears beginning to prick at your eyes as his hold on your neck tightened. You couldn’t even muster out a response (even though you knew that whatever you said wouldn’t dissuade him from giving you the punishment that he had in store for you) before he spoke again.
“No, of course you don’t because you were just acting like the selfless, fucking brat that you are! Isn’t that right y/n...” Wanting you to respond he softened the grip on your throat just enough so you could whimper out those words.
“Yes, daddy”
“Good girl at least you know how much of a fucking brat you are.” He lowered his voice this time now gently saying this into your ear as he bought his right hand up from its position holding your hips in place to stroke your hair before he removed the hand from your throat to spin you around so that you were now facing him.
He began to wipe the few tears that fell from your eyes and gave you a gentle peck on your lips raking his eyes up and down your body with concern, making sure you were okay before he continued his assault.
“Now are you going to be a good girl for daddy or am I’m going to have to punish you” he simply stated as he made direct eye contact with a glimmer of lust and darkness in his eyes.
“I will be a good girl for daddy” you gladly said back to him. Even though you did love his punishments. Right now all you wanted to do was worship this man, to tell him that no other women could make him feel as good as you did.
“Good choice princess, now why don’t you get on your knees and put that pretty little mouth to good use.”
Before the last word even came out of his mouth you were on your knees massaging the outline of his cock through the fabric of his jeans. Licking your lips you could feel how hard he was, which turned you on even more.
He began to undo his belt before you even got the chance to, you are way to entranced in stoking him through his jeans. As soon as he got his belt undone he tossed it behind him, not having a care in the world where it landed.
You helped him push his pants down to his ankles not caring right now about taking them off.
You brought one hand up to grip his shaft while the other one was pressed against his thighs. You licked your lips once again before you began to kitten lick the tip of his cock, the grunts that fell from his lips were the only thing you needed to hear from him that told you that you were doing a good job.
As soon as you brought your mouth directly on his tip, finished with teasing him and licking up his pre-cum, his hand was on the back of your head making a makeshift ponytail with your hair.
He roughly forced you to take him down his throat, clearly fed up with your teasing. Which only allowed you to moan against his length as you began to choke on his cock. He released the hold on your head slightly as you began to bob your head up and down his length, stroking whatever length couldn’t fit into your mouth.
You opened up your eyes to gauge his reaction and a moan fell from your lips when you were might with the sight of sweat beading on his forehead as he threw his head back in pure bliss. Another moan fell from his lips as you gagged on his cock. He bit down on his lips in between every moan. He was absolutely breathtaking.
Matthew began to set his own pace as he began to thrust into your mouth, you slacked your jaw to allow him to fit better and rested both of your hands against his thighs. Your eyes met as he threw his hand forward to look at you, a whimpering mess with tears streaming down your face and spit running down your chin. But to him, it was one of the most beautiful sights he had ever seen. Upon making eye contact with more groans fell from his mouth, and the grip on the back of your head tightened, signaling to you that he was close.
“Now that’s my good girl letting daddy fuck himself with that pretty, little mouth.” With every word muttered he thrust deeper into your mouth hitting the back of your throat every time.
But before he came Matthew pulled you off of his cock, grabbing your hands from their position previously gripping his thighs which left crescent shape marks at which he giggled at.
As you stood up wobbling a little bit from the numbness of your legs after being dormant for so long, he held you in place as you wiped the spit from your chin. When you were finished cleaning your face up, he once again brought one of his hands up to rest against your neck, like the necklace that you could never leave home without. He roughly kissed you with so much dominance and passion.
You were aggressively making out, you let him win the battle of your tongue's fight for dominance as his hands made their way behind your knees as he picked you up and sat down on the little couch that the trailer had.
Since you were straddled on his lap you began to grind your clothed pussy against his bare cock, moans began to fall from both your mouths as you threw your head back a slight giggle falling from your lips of how good this felt.
Before you could even try to get yourself off he gripped your hips holding them in place and stopped your grinding. A whimper fell from your lips as you pouted, which would have normal pissed him off but with how turned on he was now he couldn’t even think of punishing you.
He brought your lips back up to his and muttered into between kisses that you were both wearing too many clothes and that if you were going to cum it was going to be with his cock buried deep inside of you and when he commanded you to.
Part 2 coming soon!!!

24 Hours
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Reader
Warnings: You get buried alive and uhm... I think a curse word or two?
A/N: So, before you notice, yes this is largely based on season two episode nine of Bones, Aliens in the Spaceship. Also, yes this is a criminal minds imagine and yes I’ve hopelessly and irrevocably fallen in love with Matthew Gray Gubler. Please like, comment, reblog, and send me asks, I love that shit. Also, if you’ve never seen criminal minds, you should watch it. Even if only for Dr. Spencer Reid aka Matthew Gray Gubler. You’re welcome in advance.
___
“Hey Spenny, I’m going out to get some coffee. Do you want anything?” Your voice echoed around in Spencer’s head, the image of you waving at him from the door as you walked away imprinted into his mind. Would it be the last time he would ever see you?
“(Y/N) (Y/L/N) has been buried alive,” Hotchner stood in the front of the room with Spencer’s phone on speaker. The whole team sat around the table with varying degrees of horror displayed on their faces as the realization dawned on them, “Wire transfer five million dollars to the following Grand Cayman account.” Spencer buried his head in his hands, his fingers tangling into his hair.
Your eyes were on him as you waved over your shoulder, stepping through the door with just a glance and a smile. He kept playing it through his mind in slow motion. Now you were underground, running out of air and running out of time.
“Upon receipt of the wire transfer, I will provide you with Agent (Y/L/N)’s GPS coordinates. You have 24 hours. This will be my last communication.” The BAU jumped into action, people pulling the files from the previous abductions and swapping theories.
“Where in the hell are we going to get five million dollars? The FBI has a strict policy about not paying ransoms.” Morgan slammed a fist on the table, gritting his teeth as his mind raced.
“Her parents.” Spencer looked up, pulling himself out of his head. He needed to be actively helping. They had twenty four hours and sitting at the table with his head in his hands wouldn’t help anything.
Pushing away from the table, the young doctor stood up to look at Agent Hotchner.
“When her parents died they left everything to her. She’s never touched it, said it felt too much like blood money.” Hotchner nodded, looking across the room to Garcia who looked as shell shocked as Spencer felt. Not only had her dear friend been abducted and buried alive, but she had been telling secrets about her parents to Reid and not her?!
“Garcia I need you to find out who she banks with, JJ get them on the phone and see what you can do. If we can pay the ransom we will. If not, we’ll have to figure where she is.” Both women nodded, rushing back to Garcia’s office. The remaining agents started to map the location of every burial site.
“Well, at least we know she’s in Virginia.”
...
When you woke up, rolling into the leather backseat in you car, your brain felt like it was exploding. Your entire body ached, and for a minute, too focused on the pain, you didn’t realize where you were.
It hurt to sit up, to breathe, to look around, and when your brain connected every dot it hurt to think.
“I’ve been buried alive.” You said it aloud, staring at the rocks and dirt that pressed against every window. Thinking felt like walking through sludge, but why?
You’d been working on a case. Four victims in four months, all buried alive, all coming from wealthy backgrounds. Every victim varied in age, race, and sex. It appeared you were number five. There would be a call, maybe two hours after you’d been buried. It would be the only means of communication, there would be a high ransom.
None of this information could help you though. You were underground, what is around you, (Y/N)?
In your glove compartment was a small digital camera, a pen, and some napkins. In your center console was a bottle of water, a small tube of sunscreen, and some loose change. Your phone was on the floor but the battery had been taken out, and sitting in the backseat was a box with a book delicately placed inside.
A first edition copy of Sonnets from the Portuguese, the pages yellowed with age. To just anyone, it was an old book with some poems inside, but you knew that Spencer would understand the moment he opened the box. Elizabeth Barrett Browning had written the series of sonnets to her husband as they were courting. Inside was a poem you had confessed to Spencer was your absolute favorite.
“I’m kind of a cliche hopeless romantic,” you laughed, afraid to look at him for the fear that he would think you were just a silly girl. “But my favorite poem is How Do I Love Thee?”
“By Elizabeth Barrett Browning?” When you looked at him, his expression hadn’t changed from that of a simple curiosity. You relaxed a little, glad to reveal the intimate detail about yourself without backlash.
You had spent such a long time trying to bury the persona of a teenage hopeless romantic underneath the facade that you were only concerned for logic, knowledge, and psychology. You’d never understood why wanting to love and be loved made you any less intelligent.
“I’ve dedicated that poem to the man I hope to marry one day.” A small smile twitched at the edges of his lips as you looked down at your nails, picking at the dirt underneath them. Your face felt like it was on fire. Why had you told him that?
In an uncharacteristic display of affection, Spencer reached across the divide between your desks and put his hand over yours. He squeezed, his expression gentle when you met his gaze.
“He will be a lucky man.”
Tears pricked at the back of your eyes at the thought of Spencer. Would you ever see him again? Would you even be alive in twenty-four hours?
Panic seemed to take control, propelling forward. You screamed, crying hysterically as you pounded against the windows.
“Help me! I’m in here! Please!” You didn’t stop until your hands were bruised, not caring about the amount of oxygen it had taken from your already limited supply. After the panic came a numbness that spread through your body and mind. You weren’t sure how long you stayed staring into your hands, sitting cross-legged in the front seat, but when you finally came back to yourself you knew you had to truly fight.
Gathering everything you’d found in your car, you started to think of what you could do. A camera, a phone, a pen, a napkin, some change, a book, sunscreen, a bottle of water.
Think, (Y/N), think. What is around you?
“Dirt.” Then you gasped, scrambling back to the front of the car. Using the window crank, you let bits of the dirt fall inside before rolling the window back up and grabbing a handful.
Just by looking you could tell there was ash, a couple of sniffs told you there was nitrogen and sulfur. You spit into the dirt. Coal rich soil. But that was all of Virginia, that didn’t tell you anything.
Think, (Y/N), think.
A camera, a phone, a pen, a napkin, some change, a book, sunscreen, a bottle of water. A camera, a phone, a pen, a napkin, some change, a book, sunscreen, a bottle of water.
“That’s it!” Carefully, you shifted the dirt to the top of the center console. Mixing a dab of sunscreen into the dirt, you powered on the camera and grabbed the pen which, conveniently, had a laser on the end.
Just like that you knew where you were. You just had to find a way to tell the others.
...
“We can’t get the money from the bank, she has it completely closed off from anyone touching any of that money. They won’t even tell us how much she has.” JJ ran her fingers through her hair, turned in her chair to face the team that had gathered into Garcia’s office.
“It was a long shot anyways, you typically have to have your name on the bank account to be able to withdraw any money.” Hotchner looks to the rest of the agents clustered next to him, hoping that one of them would have something.
“Did we get anything from the geographic profile?” He made direct eye contact with Reid, watching as he stepped forward and nodded for Garcia to pull up a map. Red lines popped up at each of the four crime scenes, connecting to the location the victim lived. Salem to Lovingston. Stuart to Winchester. Boydton to Marion. Louisa to Yorktown.
“Each of the burial sites is two to four hours away from where the victims lived which would put (Y/N) in this general vicinity.” Using his finger, Reid circles an area on the map around Quantico. No one mentions the shaking of his hand.
“There’s nothing else to narrow down the search.” His voice cracks at the end and no one can meet his eyes. JJ flinches at the sound, tightening her hand around the edge of the desk. It isn’t until Hotch goes to send the team back to work that a chime breaks the silence in the room.
Reid scrambles for his phone, fishing it out of his pocket and flipping it open.
“Who is it from? The Gravedigger? What did he say?” Everyone crowds around him, trying to get a peak at the message.
“It’s from (Y/N).”
6 7 16 M1.4
“What the hell does that mean?” Penelope says.
...
You’re not sure how long its been, but you can feel the oxygen getting low. Your eyes feel heavy, like you’re tired, and if you move just a little too fast the world shifts and sways like you’re on a boat.
After hot wiring the phone to the car, you’d leaned against the horn and typed the shortest message you could as fast as possible. When the phone sparked and died, you weren’t even sure if the messsge had gone through. You could only hope.
For now, you’ve crawled into the back, opening the book to read through it. If you’re going to die, at least you can read your favorite poems one more time. With every sonnet comes a memory of Spencer.
“Actually,” Spencer begins, stepping forward to point out something no one had even thought of, gesturing between pictures and referencing something only he could see in his mind. You’d worked a couple of cases with the team at this point, getting to know each individual who sat at this table with you.
Spencer turned back to the group and there it was, for just a fraction of a second he looked at all the older people at the table like a little boy looking for acceptance and recognition. Looking for approval. Your heart flipped over itself and your crossed your arms, hoping this wasn’t the start of a silly crush.
You flip to the next sonnet, reading it in a whisper as another memory hits you.
“I’m scared, Spencer.” You met his eyes, heart hammering in your chest as JJ strapped a mic to your bra strap. You were going undercover in an attempt to lure out the unsub, and although you knew every single one of your team members would be ready to have your back at a moments notice, you couldn’t shake the fear.
“Why?” It wasn’t harsh the way he said it, looking at you from the desk he was sitting on as JJ stepped away and out of the room to give the two of you some privacy. You started to button up your shirt, trying to breathe away the shaking of your hands.
“I’m afraid something is going to go wrong. That I’ll say or do something that will tip him off and he’ll kill me.” Spencer stepped forward, not touching you but looking into your eyes as you smoothed your hands down your sides.
“I’ll be there before he has the chance. I’ll take that shot. But I don’t believe I’ll have to do that because I know you have the ability to do this without a hitch. You’ve got this.” He raised his eyebrows, waiting for you to be okay. He wouldn’t let them send you in if you didn’t give him the okay. You could see that in the way he positioned himself between you and the door, ready to take the brunt of any frustration in order for you to feel safe.
“Okay. I trust you.”
And you did trust him. That’s why you were saving your last trick, waiting for him to put together the last of the puzzle piece he needed in order to save you. Spencer was going to find you, you had no doubt.
You just weren’t sure if you would survive the trick or not.
...
“Six, seven, sixteen, M, one point four.” Spencer stood staring at the board where they had copied the text, going over every possible meaning he could think of.
A book? No.
A math problem? No.
Coordinates? No.
Theories were being thrown across the room at rapid fire, everyone trying to think of the meaning to the cryptic message. They were all still huddled into Garcia’s office, so the voices echoed and bounced around the room.
“She’s been down there for fourteen hours, we’ve got nothing! She’s already running out of oxygen, I’m honestly starting to doubt it means anything.” Derek passed a hand over his face, patting at his cheeks as his eyes grew heavy.
“No. She’s highly intelligent and extremely resourceful, the message means something but wh-” Reid froze. In his mind he could see the periodic table.
“What is it, Reid?” Gideon looked at him, watching as his brain started to fly.
“Garcia pull up a map of Virginia.” She did as she was told, pulling up the map with one point in Quantico.
“Six on the periodic table is carbon, seven is nitrogen, sulfur is sixteen. She’s telling us the dirt she’s in.” Quick to catch on, Garcia zoomed the map onto coal rich soil in Virginia. It wasn’t enough.
“Coal can’t be distinguished by mineral composition, it’s all the same. However, macerals are unique in that they flouresce at different levels. In this case, 1.4, which is rare. It only occurs when there are high concentrations of inertinite.” The map zoomed, Penelope’s fingers flying across the keys as Spencer spoke.
“Got her.”
...
Settling your napkin letter atop the book, you nestled the lid to the gift box back on top. You tied the bow tight before tucking the whole thing into the waistband of your jeans. There was no guarantee it would make it, there was no guarantee you would make it, but you had waited long enough.
Grabbing both ends of the wires you’d stripped, you climbed into the back, hands shaking at the thought of what you were about to do.
“I’m scared.” You said. You heard Spencer, saw him leaning against a window seal in your mind. He looked at you from behind those glasses that always reminded you of a 60’s NASA engineer. His hair was pushed back, the ends curling around his ears in a way that made you itch to loop them around a finger.
Why?
“What if I never see you again?” Tears you hadn’t even known were in your eyes spilled over onto your cheeks, dripping onto the thighs of your pants. He changed now, taking on various Spencer’s from your past.
Spencer looking up from paperwork to listen to a question, eyebrows raised and eyes wide. His lips parted ever so slightly while a piece of his hair dangled out of place on his forehead.
Spencer leaned against the bar, waving down the bartender mid laugh. His tie is loose and his shirt is untucked, his hair is adorably disheveled and his eyes are crinkled around the edges.
Spencer asleep on the jet home, his cheek cradled in one hand, his elbow propped on the armrest. His long legs are stretched out, his other hand splayed on top of his chest which rose and fell with each breath.
Spencer standing in the elevator, the surprise of someone calling his name turning into a small smile when he recognizes you racing to the doors. He reaches out to press a button before using both hands to grab onto the strap of his bag. He looks down at you as you enter with a look in his eyes you’ve never been able to identify.
And the Spencer you’ve only ever dreamed about.
His eyes fluttering open after a long night spent proving his love, the sun filtering through the window and reflecting on him in such a way that it makes you wish you could paint. The sheets are bunched around his waist, his chest is bare, and his smile is so sleepy that it swells your heart to ten times it’s normal size.
We’ll see each other soon. You’ve got this.
“Okay,” you say it with conviction, forcing your hands to stop shaking, “I trust you.” And then without a moments hesitation, tears still running down your face, you touch the wires together.
The world explodes.
“There!” Spencer races for the place he saw the puff of dirt, nearly tripping over himself as he runs faster than he’s ever run before. Everyone follows, dropping to there knees with Spencer as he starts to push at the stone and sand at his feet.
“Please be here. Please be here.” He keeps saying, his heart climbing into his throat with every passing second he doesn’t find you. That is, until his fingers brush across an arm. He shoves down into the dirt, ignoring every instinct that tells him to stay clean. It’s you, it’s your arm. Then it’s your head, your shoulders and chest, your stomach, your legs, and then it’s you.
He pulls you on top of him, laying in the dirt with you pulled so close that you could meld into one person. You groan into his ear, pushing up just a little to get a better look at the man under you.
“I forgot your coffee.” He laughs, tears spilling onto the sides of his face as he wraps his arms back around you.
...
It’s late by the time you’ve been seen by what feels like every doctor and psychologist in the state. There’s bruises on your wrists and ankles you hadn’t noticed during your time underground and a cut on the back of your head where you’d been hit in order to be knocked unconscious. Not to mention the tiny cuts all over your arms and face from crawling through a shattered windshield and up through rocks and dirt.
You stood in the conference room, arms crossed as you leaned against the table and stared. Staring back at you was your own face, tacked to the evidence board with four other victims.
“I tried going to your apartment, but nobody answered the door.” Spencer is standing in the doorway of the conference room, holding a box in his hands. You look down at it before looking back at him. Try as you might, you can’t tell if he’s opened it or not, either you aren’t a good profiler or you were just really tired.
“You left this at the hospital. I figured it was important if you brought it up with you from the car.” Moving into the room, he holds the box out for you to take from him. The ribbon you tied around it is still tightly knotted, the ends shredded from being dragged above ground. There’s specks of dirt that you reach out to brush to the floor before looking back at Spencer.
“It’s yours.” You reply, scooting back to sit on the table, watching curiously as he looks back down. Pulling the box back to his chest, he slips the ribbon off in one fluid motion. The lid is next and you watch as he reaches in to pull out what you had believed to be your last words.
It isn’t much, and there’s a possibility you don’t feel the same way, but I’ve realized that I’m hopelessly and irrevocably in love with you. I trust you with my life and my heart. I’m only scared now of losing you. -(Y/I)
He doesn’t look up at you and he doesn’t set the napkin aside, only moves his hand so the note is out of his line of sight as he sees the book inside.
“‘I love thee with all the breath, smiles, tears of all my life.’” He says it almost in a whisper before setting the note back in the box, and the box on the table.
“How long have you been waiting to give this to me?” When he looks at you, finally, there is wonder in his eyes, amazement.
“I bought the book last month, but I’ve known how I felt about you for six months.” You pick at the edge of the table, swinging your legs ever so slightly. Spencer moves in front of you, blocking your view of the evidence board.
“I don’t believe in love at first sight. Robert Sternberg developed the theory that love is made of three components; intimacy, passion, and commitment. None of which can be present during a first meeting. But I think I knew that I would love you. I knew from the very first time you walked in those doors and you bumped into me.” He reaches his hand out, only hesitating for just a moment before he takes you cheek in his hand.
“Can I kiss you?” He leaned so close that if he were just a hair closer, you lips would brush together as he spoke. You’ve already closed your eyes, every nerve lit up like the Fourth of July in anticipation.
“Yes.” You barely get it out before his lips collide with yours, you can feel every emotion from the last twenty four hours being poured into this kiss; fear, anxiety, sadness, confusion, anger, relief, love, safety.
You reach out to loop your arms around his neck, the kiss deepening as he grabs your hips to slide you closer. When he finally breaks the kiss, his chest heaving and his cheeks flushed, it takes him a minute to open his eyes.
“Why aren’t you at home?”
“I’m scared.”
“Why?” You loop the hair that curls against his neck around your index finger, licking your lips before responding.
“Because I’m afraid this will all be a dream and I’ll wake up back in that car.” Your breath hitches in your throat, the panic grabbing at your heart and lungs and barely leaving you anytime to process the plethora of things that have happened to you in the last thirty minutes.
“Come sleep at my place, that way you wake up with me by your side.” He steps away from the table, reaching out a hand for you to take. It takes you no time at all to make your decision, grabbing his hand and sliding off the table.
“Okay, I trust you.”

The bullies of the future (Matthew Gray Gubler/Reader)
Tumblr media
Prompt: Imagine school in 300 years
Word count: 2,8K
Summary: Matthew starts rambling about the future over dinner. How do you think school will be in the future... will there be bullies... will our kids be bullied. All the questions reader has no idea how to answer.
Pairing: Matthew Gray Gubler/ Reader
Category: Fluff
Warnings: mention of bulling and cursing
Masterlist
- “I'm just saying, when we have kids, they are going to be homeschooled”- Matthew kept stirring the pot and (Y/N) continued chopping veggies, like what they were talking about was no big deal at all.
Of course, 'cos you and your boyfriend of seven years just happen to talk about your future together every once in... seven years, apparently. And it had to happen casually as you cooked dinner together.
So, (Y/N) took a deep breath and played it cool.
- “Home school? you wanna get our kids tutors?”
- “No, no! god no!”- he made a pause and analyzed the idea- “Well, maybe... I don't trust my math, but I was thinking maybe we could both be in charge of their education.”
Matthew was talking about it like it wasn't a big deal. It was: "Which topping do you want on your pizza today, by the way, let's have kids and homeschool them together!". No biggie, right?
- “Other than the fact we were both bullied in school, why do you want to keep them in our little house bubble all day?”- (Y/N) made her best to sound as casual and cool as possible, though she was freaking out inside.
- “'Cos school sucks”- Matthew simply replied, and both of them fell into a comfortable silence for a few minutes.
- “I wonder what school will like in 300 years”- Gubler was thinking out loud, and (Y/N) found herself staring at the ceiling analyzing the idea.
- “I bet it will still suck”- she added and heard him chuckle.
- “And of course, aliens will be the teachers”- he stated and nodded at his own words- “Maybe they can "ET" us, and put all the knowledge inside our brain just with a finger on our forehead.”
- “So you wanna be fingered by an alien in school?”- (Y/N) looked at her boyfriend and frowned pretending to be confused, but making her best not to laugh. He, on the other hand, was laughing so hard she was sure the whole neighborhood could listen.
- “When you put it in those words... I don't know... maybe if they are hot aliens...”
- “I hope they are cool aliens, not the ones who always try to blow up Earth, or end with humankind”
Gubler stared at his girlfriend, she was taking the dough she had already made and had to rest, and started getting ready to prepare their pizza.
- “Is the salsa ready, Gub?”- he nodded and turned off the stove.
- “Do you think there will be bullies in school 300 years in the future?”- the tone of his voice was a little more serious, (Y/N) noticed it right away. Maybe that's where all the homeschooling idea was coming from.
- “It's more likely, people are and will be assholes forever, why?”- he shrugged and moved to the kitchen island, holding the pot with the tomato sauce he had prepared (it was his own personal recipe, and he was proud of it. It might or may not be taken from (Y/N)'s mom, but that was a fight he was never going to quit).
- “Hon, you know you can't keep kids in a bubble just to stop them from being hurt”
- “I know”- he whispered and focused on (Y/N)'s hand kneading the dough. Somehow, cooking with her felt like a place he could hide in.
If he was honest - which he was in his mind, but no as verbally as people might think- he could spend the rest of his life eating everything and anything that she cooked for him. He could gain a hundredth pounds, and he wouldn't care, he loved her home cooking, 'cos it was in fact, his home.
They had been seven years together, and he was now all of a sudden talking about kids. He didn't understand where that thought was coming from, but he knew he was sure she was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. It wasn't something he had to think about, it was something he felt on the inside every morning when she was the first thing he saw, as soon as he opened his eyes.
- “Wanna talk about what this is really about?”- her words took him from his thoughts, but he shook his head in silence- “Then pick a movie, I'll put the pizza in the oven and we'll be ready in twenty minutes.”
Matthew picked the original Carrie movie for their Saturday lazy date night, and they cuddled on their couch to watch it eating their homemade pizza. They chatted about all their favorite scenes and laughed at the poor special effects, but by the end of it, after an obscene amount of food and a bottle and a half of red wine, Matthew couldn't shake the bully's thoughts away.
- “Would you go all Carrie with your high school bullies if you could?”- his voice was a soft whisper as (Y/N) turned off the tv and the screen went black.
- “I don't think so... I wanted to when I was in school, but I don't think I care so much right now... although who knows what might happen if I get to see one of those assholes again”
The girl turned to her boyfriend, her legs laid on his lap as he sat next to her, covered with the same blanket. He knew he had to admit it, but there was a part of him that kept thinking maybe if he didn't talk about it, it hadn't happened.
- “I bumped into one of my bullies today”- he looked down at his hands, playing with a napkin as he spoke. He didn't want to turn his eyes to her 'cos he knew she would be scared and concerned. Which she was. She couldn't believe something like that had actually happened.
Matthew openly talked about his bullying experience in school in a positive and inspiring way, to help people under the same kind of situation face it and overcome it. But he never let anyone close enough to his trauma so they could understand how bad things had been for him. And it had been bad. The fact no one could call him "Matt", though it was the "go-to" nickname for Matthew was just the tip of that iceberg.
(Y/N) knew most of it after all that time, that's why it shocked her to know her boyfriend had bumped into someone from that dark era of his life.
- “Who?”
- “Chris Sanders...”- Gubler wished he could forget that name, but it was not possible. He didn't have an eidetic memory like his character Reid, but the trauma of years of bullying wasn't easy to erase.
- “Where?”
- “At a coffee shop this morning when I was out getting groceries... it was weird”
- “I bet it was”- (Y/N) moved closer to her boyfriend, wrapping her arms around him and kissing his cheeks several times- “Do you want me to kill him? ask me to kill for you, Gubler, please do”
She joked and managed to make him chuckle. But it only lasted for a second.
- “I know I have to be the bigger man, but I couldn't”
- “You don't have to be anything, honey”- (Y/N) leaned to him and kissed his cheek a few times. Matthew closed his eyes and sighed, the sensation of her lips against his skin was enough to relax him. But the memories he had buried were too clear in his head now, and there wasn't much he could do to wipe them off.
- “He put me in a fucking locker every day for a whole year”- Gubler closed his eyes tighter and held his breath for a few seconds.
- “Son of a bitch!”- just thought of her boyfriend going through that torture as a kid, hurt (Y/N) deeper than she could explain. She would give anything and everything she had, to travel back in time and kick those mother fucker's bully asses.
- “And today, he approached me like we were long lost friends”- Matthew scoffed- “Can you believe that? he walked to me and hugged me yelling "Matt" like I should be surprised and happy to bump into him!”
- “That asshole! and what did you do?”
- “I didn't know what to do, so I panicked and stayed still for a second, and he continued talking and talking about how great he was doing, and how he had seen me on tv, and... I tried to get my coffee and run away, but one thing he said just... made me snap.”
- “What did he say?”- (Y/N) whispered. Matthew sighed and looked down at his hands. Somehow, he felt guilty about what had happened, somehow he felt responsible for being mean to someone who had been cruel to him for years.
- “He said he saw an interview of me thanking every bully for being mean to me, 'cos they made me who I am today...”- Gubler whispered every word, and (Y/N) held his hands, trying to make him feel safe.
- “You did say that, I remember”
- “Yeah, but I was trying to be a positive... he just...”
Matthew was struggling with his words. He was trying to clear his head, but he was so mad, so upset, so... angry with himself for accepting the abuse for so many years, he couldn't think straight.
- “Hey, hey!”- (Y/N) leaned and kissed the tip of his nose- “I'm here, you are home, everything is ok, so come back”- she smiled at him and watched him smile shyly.
- “Yeah... I'm here”- he moved closer to her, and slowly rested his head on her shoulder. (Y/N) instinctively wrapped her arms around his body, and held him close to her, protecting him from his thoughts.
The couple stayed in silence for a few minutes. Matthew didn't want to make a big deal out of the whole thing, but deep down inside, he had bottled up so many feelings, he was having a hard time hiding them from his girlfriend.
- “He said I owe him”- Gubler murmured so quietly, (Y/N) barely heard him. He was hidden in the crook of her neck, trying to focus only on the smell of her skin instead of all the thoughts that kept hunting his mind.
- “What?”- his girlfriend whispered and clenched her fists behind his back. Of all the things she could have imagined that asshole telling her boyfriend, "you owe me" wasn't one of it. It wasn't even in the top 10. "I'm sorry I was a mother fucker with you back in high school" was something he should have said, but "You owe me"? only a real sociopath could make such sick joke.
- “And I... just... snapped”- Gubler bit his lips as he moved and stared at (Y/N), his puppy eyes were so apologetic, it made her feel he was indeed apologizing to her for something bad he had done.
(Y/N)'s hands caressed his cheeks as she smiled at him kindly. Whatever he had done - even it that included beating the shit out of that asshole - she knew he meant no harm. Matthew was a pacific guy, he wouldn't get mad, he would always be nice to everybody, even with people who were annoying or rude.
- “Gub, whatever happened, he totally asked for it”- she reassured him.
- “Yeah...”- but still, he didn't say a word
- “Did you hit him?”- he shook his head and sighed
- “I should have, though”- his voice was a whisper again.
- “Yeah, he deserved it... actually, let's google that asshole, I wanna go and smash his fucking face against a brick wall”- Matthew chuckled and stared at his girlfriend- “I mean it, I want to”
- “Maybe then we can google Jen Bennet, and avenge your shitty high school years as well”
- “So you really want me to go all Carrie on my high school bullies?”- Gubler shrugged smiling, but his response was a bluff and she knew it, he was never going to endorse any kind of violent behavior. Not like she would.
- “I don't want you to do that, never”- Matthew gave her a sweet peck on the lips and rested his forehead against hers. Silence hung between them for a few seconds, until Gubler finally sighed and whispered.
- “I threw my coffee to his face and yelled he was a narcissist son of bitch”
- “And?”- (Y/N) moved, looking into his eyes as she furrowed her brows, not getting the big deal of it- “He deserved it!”
- “Yeah but... maybe I overreacted?”
- “Did you stab him?”- but Gubler shook his head- “You didn't kick his balls, right?”- and he shook his head again- “Then, what's the whole deal?”
- “I burned his face and neck with hot coffee, not to mention the fact I yelled and cursed right onto his face in front of a lot of people”
- “So?”- (Y/N) wasn't getting what was the big deal. Sanders had been a bully to her boyfriend, he deserved worse. He deserved hell, 'cos he had put Matthew through a nightmare. She would hurt everyone who had done anything bad to him if she could. That's how much she loved him. No question asked.
- “So?!”- Matthew was in shock his girlfriend was taking things so calmly.
- “Honey, though I know you are the perfect guy who thinks being nice is better than anything else in the world, I have to burst that bubble for you: sometimes, people are assholes and we have to kick ass, you don't have to be a unicorn all the time.”
- “I'm not a unicorn!!”- he replied looking almost insulted. Matthew turned to the coffee table, poured what was left of their bottle of wine into their glasses and gave one to his girlfriend, who was smiling playfully.
- “Ok... a teddybear then”- she took a sip and sighed. Gubler stared at her biting his lips, probably trying to find something to say, but thoughts were overwhelming at that minute. He felt guilty and honestly bad about how he had reacted. He thought standing up in front of a bully was going to feel better, but apparently, it sucked.
(Y/N) could read on his face all the struggles happening in his mind. Her finger found his hair, and ran slowly through it, knowing it was something that always managed to relax him.
- “I just feel I'm no better than him after what I did”
- “Don't overthink it, Matthew Gray”- he felt her hands tug his hair softly, as a small chuckle left her lips- “You are better than anyone and everyone I know or might know”
- “Are you going to encourage our kids to kick ass?”
- “Yes!”- she answered not giving the idea a second thought- “But only if someone is messing with them”
- “Them?”- Gubler raised an eyebrow and (Y/N) felt her cheeks burning in no time. Had she said too much? no way.
- “You said kids, plural, them, kids, them...”- she poorly explained almost stuttering. The fact they were talking about kids was still too much for her to handle. It scared and excited her at the very same time. It felt like something she wanted to do, and couldn't wait to do, but never knew it until that day.
- “I see... maybe school 300 in the future will have better anti-bullying policies...”
- “We are not having kids in 300 kids, Matthew”- (Y/N) didn't realize what she had gotten into until it was too late- “I mean... I don't think we will be alive in 300 years.”
She made a pause as they stared at each other quietly. Neither of them knew what to say next, so she quickly looked for a way to change the course of the conversation drastically.
- “Anyway, it was a good pizza”
- “Yeah”- he nodded frenetically and blushed.
- “And a great shitty movie”
- “It ain't shitty”
- “The book is better”
- “Nerd”- (Y/N) gasped pretending to be offended and watched how Gubler bit his lips. She still didn't know if he did that on purpose or not, but whatever it was, it had one hell of an effect on her every single time, even after seven years.
- “Finish that wine and follow me upstairs”- her words were a command.
- “Why?”- he raised an eyebrow knowing exactly what she was talking about.
- “I wanna cheer you up for beating up that bully”- Gubler didn't argue with that at all, he finished what was left in his glass and stood up.
- “Are you always going to cheer me up with crazy dirty sex?”
- “Yes”- she turned to him and frowned- “Is that a bad thing?”
- “Did you hear me complain?”- he grinned- “We could have done it on the couch, you know”
- “You can't tie me to the couch”- (Y/N) teased and curled his lips to a dirty smile.
- “I love you”
- “I know.”

4 + 1 BABY
Tumblr media
Summary: 4 times Amelia talks about having kids, 1 time Auston does.
Word Count: 3,618
Master List
Unedited
AN: I really wanted to get this one out here because I’ve been working on it for awhile. I hope you guys like it and let me know what you think! I love hearing feedback.
1.
We had finally just sat ourselves down on the couch. I was cuddled up to Auston with his arm wrapped around me holding me close. Felix was laying at the end of the couch leaning against Auston’s leg.
We had been dating for almost four months at this point and I had started spending the night a lot. Auston had a game earlier today and I wasn't able to go but the second he had gotten home he invited me over.
“What do you want to watch?” Auston asked as he reached for the remote to fick on the TV.
“Hmm how about Marley and Me?” I sweetly asked throwing one of my legs around his so that I was hugging the side of his body.  He turned down to face me with a raised eyebrow.
“You always cry during this movie,” he whined but started making his way to the movie. I scoffed before turning to face the tv.
“It’s still a good movie,” I said gently resting my head on his chest. He rubbed his hand up and down my back.
“Yeah it is,” he said.
We sat in comfortable silence enjoying the movie for a while. I noticed Auston pull his phone out but I wasn't too upset by it because we had seen the movie a few times already. I watched as Jennifer Aniston's character told her husband that she was pregnant and the two of them celebrated excitedly.
“I can’t wait to be pregnant,” I said quietly, causing Auston to look up from his phone.
“Why?” he asked, confused. I laughed lightly.
“Well why not? I think it'll be really cool to grow something inside my body. Plus it's something men cant do which is pretty cool,” I teased him, he laughed loudly.
“True. But aren’t you afraid it’s going to hurt?” he asked, causing me to frown slightly.
“I’m sure it does but don’t you think it'll be worth it after when you're holding your baby,” I said pulling myself off his chest.
“I guess that’s true,” he reassured as he pushed me gently back into a lying position. I relaxed back against his chest and the two of us watched the rest of the movie in comfortable silence.
2.
I raced to the store as I pulled Auston along by his arm. There was a sale going on at my favorite store in the mall. I had been working all week and wasn't able to make it until the last day of the sale. I wanted to go with one of my friends but everyone had already gone so I forced Auston to go with me.
“Babe. Stop pulling so hard I’m coming,” he demanded as he tried to get me to let go of his hand. I blushed not realizing how tight I was holding his hand before releasing my grip lightly.
“Sorry,” I apologized as I slowed to a stop. He ran into my back before backing up slightly.
“Uh. Why did you stop,” he asked looking around to find why I had stopped. I turned around to face him.
“Look at that baby over by the fountain,” I whispered pointing in the direction of the very cute baby. His eyes roamed the open area before landing on the adorable baby that was currently throwing pennies in the fountain. He smiled lightly before looking back at me.
“They're wearing a little Matthews jersey,” I teased pulling on the sleeve of his shirt. He reached down for my hand while I kept talking.
“Think about how cute it’ll be when your kids wear your jersey,” I cooed as we started walking to the store that I had been oh so excited to go to just moments before. I noticed his cheeks heat up in a light blush.
“Think about how cute you would look in it,” he finally responded as he trailed after me.
“Oh please! You’ve already seen me in your jersey,” I said letting go of his hand to start looking at the clothes on the rack.
“Yeah, I think babies will look good in anything as long as they come from you and me,” he said as he pulled his phone out to text his friends back. I blushed at his response before moving onto the next rack.

3.
I laughed as I watched the funny scene before me. I was curled up with a blanket wrapped around me and Felix laying at my feet. I was currently at Austin's watching That 70s Show on the TV while we waited for Auston to come home from his roadtrip.
Felix picked his head up off my lap when he heard a key turning in the door. When the door was pushed open he quickly sat up and his tail started wagging as he tried to decide if he should leave me to go to Auston or not. Finally his excitement got the best of him and he ran towards the door barking happily. Auston dropped his bag on the ground before reaching out to pet Felix.
“Hi buddy, how have you been?” he asked as he started walking his way into the apartment. Once he noticed me on the couch he walked over and laid on top of me.
“Auston what are you doing?” I asked through a giggle.
“I missed you,” he said as he hugged me.
“I missed you too, how was your trip?” I asked him as I wrapped my arms around him.
“It was pretty good butt I lost a bet to John and we have to babysit tonight,” he mumbled into my shoulder.
“We?” I asked, raising my eyebrow at him. He nodded his head against me. I laughed lightly while rubbing my hand up and down his back.
“Please don't make me do it alone,” he sighed into me.
“Oh is my poor baby afraid of taking care of babies,” I teased stopping my hand on his back. He scoffed into me before pushing himself so he was hovering over me.
“I take care of you just fine,” he said with a teasing smirk. I gasp slightly offended as I tightened my hold on his back.
“Are you calling me a baby?” I ask raising and eyebrow. He gives me a quick sly grin before leaning down and pressing a kiss to my awaiting lips. I relax into the kiss immediately moving my hands up to run through his hair. He deepens the kiss as he slides his tongue into my mouth for a moment before pulling away. I try to chase his lip as he grins at me.
“Do you think we will make good parents someday?” I ask quietly as he leans his forehead against me.
“I think so,” he said leaning down to peck my lips.

4.
I wrapped my arm around Auston’s as he helped me out of the car. We were attending an event for the Toronto Maple Leafs in hopes to collect money for charity. We walked into the building and I immediately noticed Steph and Mitch in the corner.
I had started getting closer to Steph and it was one of the only reasons I really felt comfortable even attending the event in the first place. She waved to the two of us and I sent her a wave of my own before turning back to Auston.
“Are there people that we have to talk to?” I asked getting his attention back on me. His eyes slowly focused on me before he started nodding his head.
“Yeah. Let’s go do that and then we can go say hi to everyone,” he said reaching for my hand and interlocking our fingers. He led me in the direction where there were a bunch of old men in suits. Auston introduced me to everyone he saw remembering each of their names. Sometimes it really amazed me how much and how many people Auston really knew. He was so good at remembering names. After Auston talked with all the people he needed to he slowly pulled me away from them and over to the table that had our name tags. I quickly reached for my glass of water.
“You look beautiful in the dress babe,” Auston said leaning towards me in his chair. I smiled at the compliment as I leaned toward him.
“You look handsome in that suit,” I winked at him before someone tapped me on the shoulder.
“Steph!” I exclaimed as I stood up to pull her into a hug. She wrapped her arms around me tightly. Auston stood up to greet Mitch.
“I’m so glad you're here. I was about to die of boredom,” she whispered in my ear. I pulled away with a laugh before Mitch pulled me into a short hug.
“It’s good to see you,” I said once we pulled away.
“You too,” he smiled gently. I went to respond to him before I was being grabbed by the hand and spun around.
“Willy!” I squealed, pulling him into a hug. He laughed as he hugged me before reaching to hug Steph.
“How are you doing?” he asked us once he pulled away from her.
“Pretty good I’ve been busy with work but Auston roped me into coming tonight. If he had told me you’d be here I would have said yes a lot sooner,” I teased as Auston pulled me into a hug from behind. All the boys that were around immediately started chirping Auston while he just buried his face into my neck.
“Matts better keep an eye on your girl before Willy steals her,” I heard someone tease and everyone started laughing. I grabbed Auston’s hand that was around me and held on tightly. I was all for a good tease but right now I was surrounded by a lot of people I didn't know and I wanted his comfort.
“Auston!” I heard a little voice from behind me. Auston quickly turned around and crouched down to be face to face with one of his teammates' kids.
“Whats up kiddo?” he asked him. The little boy reaches forward for Austons hand.
“We're playing mini sticks, you have to come help us play,” he says and then pulls him in the direction of the corner with all the kids. I stand surprised at the fact that  a little child just stole my boyfriend before turning back to the table.
“Auston always gets dragged away by the kids. He’s pretty good with them. This is the first time he’s ever had to divide his attention between the kids and a girlfriend,” I heard from beside me. I looked up from the table to be met with Morgan Rielly. I smiled gently back at him. I had only met him a few times so far but I knew that he and Auston used to be really close before they had a bit of a falling out because Morgan got a girlfriend and started ditching Auston.
“He looks good with them,” I responded sweetly, not knowing what else to say.
“He seems really smitten with you,” he said as he leaned back in his chair facing me.
“I’m really into him,” I said, glancing over to him and watching him laugh and joke around with the kids. I couldn't wait to have kids with him. He caught my gaze and gave me a big smile before turning back to the kid that was trying to whack him with a stick.
“I’ve honestly never seen Auston so into someone. It’s really great to see how happy you guys are together,” he said, feeling genuinely happy for his close friend. I blushed before noticing his girlfriend talking to Steph and Mitch.
“And how are you and Tessa?” I teased taking the attention away from Auston and my relationship. As he went into a story about her we moved on to work and talked for a bit about that. Eventually we were interrupted by Auston sitting down in the chair next to me and wrapping his arm around the back of my chair.
“What’s got the two of you all chatty,” he said reaching for his drink on the table. At the same time Tessa came and stole the attention of Morgan.
“Just talking about you,” I truthfully said, turning my body to face him. His smile widened before he poked my arm.
“What about me?” he asked softly.
“Weell, Morgan was just confessing his love for you to me. He wanted to know if he could have your hand in marriage. Don’t worry I told him I’d ask you if it was alright first. He agreed to give me five thousand dollars if I hand you over and I’m really thinking about the offer,” I said seriously as I reached for my glass of water. Auston looked at me in disbelief.
“Really?” he asked lightly. I nodded my head before turning to Morgan. He pulled on my hand before I was able to open my mouth.
“What were you really talking about now?” he asked.
“I think you would make a really great dad someday,” I told him as I gave his hand a gentle squeeze. His lips turned up in a small smile before he opened his mouth to speak before closing it when nothing came out.
“We were just talking about you and me together and then I looked at you and you looked so happy. And I think that you would make a really good dad,” I decided to continue on when he didn't look like he was going to say anything. Auston looked around before leaning towards me and giving me a quick kiss. I quickly responded to the kiss before he pulled away.
“I think you would make a great mother,” he whispered as he pulled away. I felt myself starting to smile goofily. Nobody had ever told me that before.

1.
“I can’t believe we just got married,” Amelia said as she wrapped her arms around my neck. She started playing with my hair at the back of my neck as the two of us celebrated our first dance. I had finally done it and proposed to her after seven months of dating.
“I don’t think a lot of people can believe it,” I joked as I pulled her closer. I could never get enough of her and I wanted this moment to last forever. She laughed lightly into my ear before pulling away. I spun her before pulling her back in tightly.
“I never want to let you go babe,” I said as we swayed slightly. She relaxed into my arms before the song came to an end. We continued dancing even when the DJ invited the rest of the crowd to join us on the dance floor. Amelia’s little cousin slowly approached us before tugging on her long flowy dress. She bent down with a giant grin on her face and picked up her little cousin.
“Hey Bri. Can you say hi to Auston?” she asked Bri with a smile. Bri immediately tried to hide herself in Amelia's shoulder.
“Aww. She’s a bit shy I guess,” Amelia said through a giggle. I laughed along with her as she tried to get Bri’s attention.
“Wanna dance with Auston and I to this song? Huh Bri. Doesn’t that sound fun,” she said bouncing Bri up and down excitedly. Bri pulled her face out of Amelia's shoulder before giving me a shy grin.
“Okay,” she said before trying to get out of Amelia's hold. I smiled at the two of them as Amelia placed Bri on her feet. The three of us danced around for a few songs before I felt someone tug onto my arm. A slower song came on.
“May I have this dance?” my mom asked with a smile. I glanced at Amelia who was dancing with Bri and her mother.
“Of course you may,” I grinned grabbing her hand and pulling her into dance.
“Oh Auston. I’m so proud of you,” she sighed as she danced with me. Hearing that made another huge smile break out on my face. All I had been doing today was cheezin. It had made me really happy to hear that my family was so supportive of Amelia and my early and short engagement. I had gotten down on one knee after only seven months of dating in December. Everyone was surprised. They were even more surprised that we planned our wedding to be in July.
“Thanks mom,” I said softly, spinning her in a circle.
“Your father and I both know what it’s like to love someone that much. I’m so happy you have that someone in your life,” she said emotionally as we swayed softly. I watched as a tear fell down her face and I felt myself panic for a moment.
“Don’t cry mom,” I chirped gently. She laughed lightly reaching up to wipe a tear.
“Get me some grandbabies soon,” she said as the song came to an end. I felt a blush creep onto my face before someone else was pulling me into another direction. With a wave to my mom I made my way off the dance floor.
As the night progressed I found myself in a conversation with my two sisters, Alex and Bre. Both of them had been a part of Amelia’s wedding party so their dresses matched in color but other than that Amelia had given them a lot of fashion freedom.
“I can’t believe you're the first one to get married,” Alex said, picking her drink off the bar. The three of us were lined up against the bar but Bre wasnt drinking because she was still underage. Although I am pretty sure people have definitely been slipping her some drinks.
“I really thought it was going to be me at this point,” Bre said, reaching for my drink. I tried to move my hand but not hard enough because she grabbed it anyway. I rolled my eyes at what she said. I was totally capable of getting married. I literally did.
“Maybe I’m just better then you guys,” I told them, pushing Bres' shoulder as I grabbed my drink back. We all laughed as we goofed off. I looked around taking in the scene before me. Everyone here was to celebrate me and Amelia. Huh Amelia.
“Where even is Amelia?” I asked my sisters as I pushed myself away from the bar a little.
“Relax. She's over there dancing with Willy and Mitchy,” Alex said pointing to them. I grinned before pushing myself away from them with a see you later.
“Looking good Mrs. Matthews,” I whispered into Amelia's ear as I pulled her into a hug from behind. She gasped as I got my arms around her and then she turned around to face me.
“Nice to see you again Mr. Matthews,” she said with a smirk before leaning into whisper in my ear.
“Want to find a room?”
I immediately slid my hand down to grab hers before turning to Mitch and Willy to wave before dragging her along to search for a room. Once we found a door it led into the coat room. Amelia let go of my hand surprising me before she started pacing back and forth.
“Holy shit Auston,” she said as she walked back and forth.
“Is everything okay babe?” I asked, taking a tentative step forward.
“Yes!” she exclaimed, stopping her pacing to face me. I relaxed at her words before taking another step towards her.
“We just got married in Auston. This is the craziest, coolest and happiest day of my life. I can't think of one day that can make me happier than today,” she said, taking a step towards me and grabbing my hands as she did. I smiled at her words.
“What about when we have our first kid,” I teased as I let go of her hand to tip her chin up. She let out a small giggle as I leaned down to kiss her. I smiled lightly to myself.
“I can’t wait to have a kid with you,” she said as she pulled her lips away.
“Let’s not wait then,” I said seriously. She pulled away completely with a look of surprise and doubt on her face.
“Look I know I havent talked about kids much but I want to be a dad and I want you to be the mother to my children. We can have them whenever you want, I’m just saying that I will be ready,” I said gently.
“If you want one now we can stop with birth control and condoms you just let me know Amelia,” I continued. Amelia’s jaw dropped as she listened to me. Before a soft smile took over.
“Aus, you always surprise me,” she said leaning up to give me a soft sweet kiss before pulling back. She looks absolutely stunning in her dress.
“You can just get rid of the condoms, no need to spend money on those anyways. I’ll keep taking my birth control for a little longer,” she continued making eye contact with me. I could tell that she was trying to sound sure of herself but I could tell she needed the reassurance. I pulled her into a tight hug and started swaying with her.
“Were going to have a beautiful family,” I said as I held her tightly to me.
“Yeah we are,” she said happily. We stood there hugging for a few more moments before she pulled away.
“Let’s get back to our wedding,”
“Okay,” I said grabbing her hand and leading the way to our friends and family.

Don’t Scream
Tumblr media
IMAGINE: The original Ghostface killers have focused on their new target, you. Their plans change, however, when someone else threatens your life. After that night, nothing will ever be the same for you. Set in modern times! WORD COUNT:  3.4k  WARNINGS: Mentions of blood & gore, shitty ending.
“Darcy, how do you expect Lizzie to accept your proposal if you keep insulting her by bringing up the differences between your classes?” You shout at the tv screen.
Here you were, alone in your house on a Friday night, watching Pride and Prejudice. Fun, huh?
“Matthew, don’t pout like that!” You tell the actor on screen. “You knew this was coming, don’t act like an idiot!”
But how could you stay angry at Matthew for so long? He was only playing his part.
As the scene moves on, you suddenly find yourself distracted by a sudden noise. Thinking it might’ve been your parents, you tentatively call out for them. “Mom? Dad? You guys back already?”
When nothing else happens, you shrug your shoulders and shut everything down. It was getting late anyway, and you just wanted to fall asleep in your own bed.
Just as you finally cleaned up the mess you had made, you were taken aback when the house phone rang. Against your better judgment, you picked up the phone without even looking at the ID on the dim screen.
“Hello, (Last Name) residence,” you utter into the speaker, attempting to seem more awake than you were.
“Hello there,” a voice on the other line drawled.
“Hi,” you reply, scrunching your forehead in confusion. This voice didn’t seem to register in your half-asleep mind as you tried to figure out who it was.
“Who’s this?” You ask politely.
“No one,” the voice answered. “I must have called the wrong number.”
Stifling a laugh, you feel yourself shake your head. “Oh, I hate it when that happens,” you say honestly. “Lemme guess you accidentally butt-dialed me?”
“No,” the voice chuckled, the smooth tone of it convincing you it was a man on the other side of the line. “I was just-”
You quickly tuned out the man when you heard another noise, slightly louder than the one you heard before. As you try to figure out what it was, you quickly remember your unseen guest.
“-hat noise?”
“What?” You whisper into the phone.
“What was that noise I heard?” The man asked.
“I’m not-” You stick your head around the corner and quickly clamp a hand over your mouth.
A duo of men was standing in front of your open door. They had broken a nearby window from the outside and the door looked like someone had kicked it open.
Seeing as the men had not noticed you yet, you quickly slip back into the living room and search for a hiding spot. A few whimpers escaped your throat, just soft enough for the intruders to dismiss but loud enough for the phone’s microphone to pick up.
“What’s going on?!” The voice demanded.
“There are men… In my house,” you hiss, trying not to catch unwanted attention.
Silence was all you heard. You were afraid they had cut the phone line when the man came back, his voice sounding harsh and cold.
“Find somewhere to hide and stay there,” he commanded stiffly. Your body suddenly hesitated, and for good reason.
You didn’t even know whoever was on the other side of the line, and yet they were here, helping keep you alive. But you quickly snapped out of your trance as you heeded his words. Fear was eating you alive as you struggled to not lose it.
If you weren’t so panic-stricken, you might’ve hung up the phone and called the police!
Pressing the phone to your chest, you sneakily made your way past the burglars as they ransacked your home. You thought your heart would just burst out of your chest as you crept into your bedroom. With shaky hands, you locked the door.
“What now?” You whisper into the phone, terrified that one of your guests might hear you.
“Get in the closet and stay there,” the man ordered.
“I-I…. I c-can’t,” you stutter quietly, finding yourself rooted to the floor. You couldn’t move, no matter how much you wanted to.
“DO IT NOW!” The voice snarled, scaring you out of your wits.
Suddenly frightened at the anger in his voice, you toss the phone away. The fear grew stronger as the device smacked into the wall. The sheer force of it had created a sharp ‘smack’ that rattled you to the core.
Sending out a silent plea that you hadn’t been heard, you hold in a shriek as you hear the men from before start talking to one another.
“Did you hear that, Antoine?” One of them questioned, his voice hoarse and in desperate need of a glass of water.
“Yes, I did. It seems we’re not the only ones here,” came a dark reply, the voice rougher than the sharpest piece of sandpaper.
You could feel the air harshly leave your body as you struggled to gain a proper breath.
I’m going to die. I’m going to die. I’m going to-
Your panicked thoughts were quickly interrupted as you heard the front door slam against the wall. You heard the men shout in alarm as they focused on their new distraction.
The sounds of blood-curdling wails filled your ears as you listened to the men grunt and shout as they fought.
But what was there to fight? Besides the intruders, you were the only one in the house. Surely, they weren’t stupid enough to turn on each other.
“Get away from him!” Said the second man as a series of crashes echoed through the hall. He let out a cry as he too was attacked.
A mangled sob escaped your lips as you listened to the men scream and scream until their pitiful wails suddenly cut off rather quickly.
Tears ran down your face, creating a steady stream that cascaded down your chin like heavy rain. As they fell to the floor, you realized that the third party made himself known as heavy footsteps stomped down the hallway causing a ruckus.
The fear in your chest grew as you realized they were heading towards your room.
Snapping out your immobile state, you rushed to your open closet and hid inside, quietly closing the doors. Almost immediately, you heard someone banging on your bedroom door as they struggled to open it. A series of low grunts reached your ears as you heard someone throwing themselves against the weakening slab of wood.
Definitely going to die. Going to die right now. I will never tell (Favorite Actor) that I love them. I-
You stopped your internal rambling once you realized that you no longer heard that awful banging. You couldn’t help but hope that whoever was on the other side of the door left and wouldn’t return.
What luck you had.
You screamed out into your hand as the door slammed open, falling onto your hardwood floors with another harsh bang. With both hands cupping your mouth now, you tried to control your breathing that came out in short, uneven puffs that resembled a panting bear.
You listened carefully as you looked under the small gap under the closet to watch a dark shadow pace around your room. You heard them shuffle around as they ransacked the area.
The surrounding air grew thick as the shadow suddenly froze. Within seconds, the closet door flew open to reveal your unknown attacker.
A tall figure wearing a Father Death costume glared down at you from above. The mask was splattered with a dark crimson fluid that trailed down the face like murky tears. He carried a hunting dagger coated in the same substance by his side and held it menacingly.
You couldn’t help but stare at the knife as blood dripped to the floor almost hypnotically. The killer noticed you staring and tilted his head to the side as he looked you over.
Guessing that he was planning on how to kill you, you asked for a last request before your time was over.
“Please,” you tell the killer, unable to get your voice louder than a whisper. “Just make it quick.”
You looked away from the messenger of death as he raised the blade. This was it. Your life was over and you’d never taste another (Favorite Snack) again.
It surprised you when you felt nothing. Not the swing of a knife cutting through your flesh. The pain of having blood filling your throat. Not even the warmth leaving your body as you died.
With stiff movements, you slowly open your eyes, only to see the masked figure offering a gloved hand. Seeing that you were wary, the man twitched his fingers, repeating his silent request.
“Just take it,” he finally spat.
Recognizing that smooth tone to be the same one from the call, you finally grasp his hand. The second you closed your fingers around his covered palm, he hoisted you to your feet. Once you had your feet firmly planted on the ground, you realized the killer hadn’t let go of you.
The stillness in the room reminded you of what had happened only minutes ago. Just recalling the horrible screams made your skin crawl as you looked at the masked man.
“What happened to those men?” You ask meekly.
When he doesn’t answer, you look at the blade in his other hand. The killer followed your gaze and quickly pocketed the knife.
“I have dealt with them,” was the reply you received. Without another word, the man dragged you out of your bedroom.
“Stop!” You shout at him, immediately tugging at your wrist.
This guy slaughtered two burglars in such a way that made your stomach twist and recoil in ways it shouldn’t. There was no way in hell that you would go with this man willingly.
“Stop struggling,” the man spat out, squeezing your arm painfully as he led you to the front door. You passed the bodies as you did so, and it only made your fear increase tenfold.
“Please,” you cried out softly, catching the man’s attention.
He turned around to face you; his covered eyes boring into your own as he waited for you to speak. Your mouth suddenly became dry as you struggled to talk.
“Don’t prolong the inevitable. Just kill me and get it over with. I know that’s what you’re going to do, anyway.”
The man observed you as you eyed his frozen figure as if he were a predator ready to pounce on his prey. And you were the cute fuzzy bunny the big bad wolf wanted for dinner.
“I will not kill you,” the man told you stiffly. “I’m here to... Help.”
"Help?" You repeated. "But why-"
"Don't ask questions!" The man snarled. “Don’t make me regret this.”
Shutting your mouth, you let the man drag you onto your front lawn with no more complaints. It doesn’t stop you from dragging your feet just the tiniest bit. This didn’t go unnoticed by your rescuer.
“Would you stop?!” He practically growled at you. With his free hand, he whipped out his knife he had planned on leaving out of this. “Don’t fight me!”
His words only spurred you to struggle more. This was part of his plan somehow. He would get you to lower your guard, and when you least expected it? He’d rip you apart, just like he did those burglars.
When you refused to listen to him, he let out an angry grunt before bashing the butt of the knife on the back of your head. The sheer force of it sent you tumbling down like JENGA® blocks.
“Son of a-”
It seemed so fuzzy to you. You could register the mask hovering over your face, the steady droning sound in your ears, pale moonlight glimmering on his knife. Then it disappeared out of your line of sight.
If you could think clearly, you would have worried where it was going. Instead, you could only whine softly, slowly blinking as you waited for something to happen.
“They’ll find you here,” you heard him mumble to himself, his voice sounding as if he were underwater. “You’ll be ok.”
What the hell is he talking about?
You stared at the midnight sky behind his head, your mind refusing to focus on anything. The buzzing grew louder, forcing you to shut your eyes. It drowned everything out, leaving you with your rambling thoughts.
For a moment you could think before you felt yourself slip away. The sudden fear overwhelmed you, reminding you of what was happening in the actual world.
Please don’t let me die, not like this.
-
You didn’t remember much after that.
The next time you opened your eyes, you had been in the hospital, attempting to focus on a doctor. With the help of a nurse, they explained you had been attacked. Luckily, someone had tipped off the authorities who rescued you in time before anything else happened.
The interrogation with the cops was a blur. They spun some story about 3 intruders being breaking into your house, with the third one turning his back on his partners and sparing you from his rage.
One officer offered this as being connected to the other murders, but they had shot it down. While they had found records of someone calling the house before the killings, nothing else had fit the profile. They figured the mutilation only occurred because of an unknown argument between the intruders.
They tried pushing you into remembering what happened, but you couldn’t. All you could focus on was the fear you felt at the moment, sending you in tears each time.
It took you a few days after getting released from the hospital, but you finally convinced your parents to let you return to school. You were just so tired of being afraid; you wanted to return to some normalcy.
It was a rocky start. The second you stepped on school grounds, all eyes were on you. You could hear the whispers as you walked by, everyone trying to figure out how you lived. Keeping your head high, you blocked all of it out, intent on putting that behind you.
Unbeknownst to you, you failed to notice two boys during the newfound attention, the two of them sharing unnerving grins as their eyes followed your every move.
-
You couldn’t stop the cry that escaped your throat as you shut your locker, coming face to face with a guy you recognized from your history class. “Fuck!” You practically shouted in his face.
“Sorry about that, didn’t mean to scare you,” he said, his Cheshire grin implying he was anything but sorry.
“It's ok,” you replied, shaking it off. No one says anything at that point, leaving him staring while you shuffled nervously.
“You’re uh... You’re Stu, right?” You asked suddenly. “I sit behind you in history. You’re funny.”
You couldn’t help but laugh as he gave a mock bow. “That’s me, at your service!” Stu glanced around the hallway, frowning when he saw teenagers scattered about. “You got anyone to sit with?” He asked.
You shook your head sadly. Your friends didn’t have the same lunch period as you, leaving you munching on your food alone often.
“That won’t do,” Stu complained as he held out his hand. He managed a reassuring smile when you seemed hesitant to take it. “I won’t bite, my friend and I could use the company, anyway. Let’s go.” By the time you had reached the courtyard fountain, Stu practically had you in tears from how hard you were laughing.
You noticed his friend was another guy you recognized class, Billy; you think his name was.
“What’s so funny?” He chuckled, noticing the way you two were struggling to breathe.
“Listen to this,” Stu struggled to say. “The other day, my sister asked me to pass her lipstick, but I accidentally passed her a glue stick. She still isn't talking to me.”
The boy chuckled. “That would be funny, except you don’t have a sister Stu.”
Stu rolled his eyes, gently sitting you down between the two of them. Billy spares you a glance before holding out a bag of chips. When you just stared at it, he rolled his eyes.
“Do you want one or not?” He finally asked. You a shy nod, thanking him when you took a chip.
“So...” You drawled out, tired of the silence that had fallen on the three of you. That, and you were desperate to know why they were so interested in you suddenly. Both of them look surprised when you voiced your concerns.
“After what happened,” Billy began, “you looked like you just needed a friend.”
“Yeah!” Stu added. “You laugh at my jokes, and you’re pretty easy on the eyes too!”
-
Billy couldn’t help but think about the knife hidden in his backpack as you squirmed in your spot. Stu couldn’t stop thinking about the way you looked in those pants.
It had been Stu’s idea to make you Ghostface’s next target. The two had seen you around the school; no one would suspect them if you were killed. You were barely a blip on their radar, publicly at least.
Billy was the one on the phone with you that night, putting on the facade he had contacted the wrong house. It had been going fine until Stu reported that someone was at the front door. He had been posted at the side, waiting for his partner’s word to break into the window.
The two hadn’t counted on their unexpected company to ruin their plans. You were theirs to kill; they would not let two low-life burglars take the money shot.
Stu was the one who ran inside, killing the men with no mercy to spare. He had been the one to sneak into your bedroom, fully prepared to finish you as planned. Billy warned him you had hidden in the closet, the perfect place for an easy target.
There had been something about the way you looked at Stu, your (Eye Color) eyes practically boring into his own. Then, instead of pleading with him to spare your life, you had asked that he kill you quickly. Not a single one of his victims had done that.
Somewhere in his sick, twisted little mind, he couldn’t find it in him to murder you.
It pissed Billy off when Stu returned, admitting that he didn’t finish the job. He had almost gone back to do it himself when Stu wrestled him back.
“They’re different!” The taller one shouted in his ear, attempting to keep the argument as quiet as he could. They were killers in public. “We already got in some kills; the police will never think it was us! And Y/N will never know either!”
It was pure luck that Billy agreed to his partner’s demands. It was the same luck that later spared your life; when it came out that you couldn’t remember the night of the attack, Billy let you live. To ensure that you wouldn’t squeal to the authorities if the memories ever came back, the boys came to the idea that they needed to insert themselves into your life.
“You guys are nice,” you admitted. “But you wouldn’t hurt me, right? I don’t want to get my feelings hurt.”
It wouldn’t just be your feelings getting hurt! Stu thought maniacally.
“Wouldn’t dream of it, princess,” Billy assured you, his thoughts straying away from his weapon.
For the moment Billy believed his own words. He could pretend that he and his best friend never tried killing you, befriending you on the idea that maybe you were a good person to be friends with. He wouldn’t have to worry about you discovering that they had plotted to kill you for their demented pleasure.
If things went right in this friendship, you would never have to discover their dark secret.

Want | Priest!Kay x Reader {Part I}
Fandom: Season of the Witch Modern!AU Word Count: 2k
Warnings: None yet, other than maybe some sacrilege? (I’m not Catholic and I know this is probably not going to be everyone’s cup of tea) but there will be smut in later parts.
a/n: I got this prompt (below) & at first wasn’t sure what to do for it, until @midnightseance inspired the idea & @immortalled encouraged me to go for it lol. Thank you two for being my sounding boards 💛
Prompt: Initially I wasn’t gonna request anything because I... didn’t really have anything in mind but then I had a brain blast. I request you writing something you’ve really wanted to write but maybe have talked yourself out of. Like something you thought no one would want- like this is your sign this is your signal. I want to read it! Watching you write something your heart is fully in is one of my favorite things i’ve seen since following you. It doesn’t matter what it is I want to see it!!

You’d always thought Catholic churches were gorgeous — the architecture, the sculptures, the stained glass windows — so why did you feel this gut churning sense of dread at the sight as you approached.
“You sure I’m not gunna burst into flame as soon as we cross the threshold, like in some sort of horror movie?” you leaned in to whisper in your fiance’s ear and he scoffed.
“If that actually happened in real life, then I probably would’ve spontaneously combusted years ago,” he answered wryly, his eyes flicking to his parents on his other side.
“Right,” you muttered, taking a deep breath as you passed through the large double doors with the rest of the parishioners.
The inside was just as beautiful as the outside and you gaped at the sprawling windows, glittering colourfully as the sun hit them just right, while trying not to think about how anxious you felt. As you filed into the pew with your fiance and his parents, you could feel eyes on you from all sides as people whispered under their breath.
“Is that Matthew’s fiance? She looks rather plainer than I’d expected.”
“Is it true they’re having the ceremony here? She’s not even Catholic.”
“Well, she must be converting.”
Sinking down in the pew, you felt very out of place, and it was obvious to those around you that you were an outsider. You’d never been to a Catholic Mass before, much less any church service, really, and truth be told you weren’t really sure if you even believed or not, but this was what your fiance’s family wanted, though you knew he didn’t really care either way.
Matthew wasn’t exactly what you’d call a good Catholic boy — you’d definitely performed several cardinal sins with him already: sex before marriage, masturbation, use of contraceptives, the list goes on. But either way it wasn’t like you had much of a choice in the matter, you were joining the Catholic Church for better or for worse.
Soon the service began and you listened quietly, trying to pay attention, but amidst all the standing, sitting, and kneeling, you were getting dizzy trying to remember it all, and you tried to follow your fiance’s lead, but you were always a beat behind the rest, feeling more self conscious by the minute.
What are you doing here? you asked yourself for about the tenth time, grimacing as you quickly sat once more, glancing around hastily. It was obvious you didn’t belong, and your fiance didn’t even seem to care. In fact, he didn’t seem to be paying attention at all.
And that was when you saw him, quite possibly the last person you had expected to see.
Stepping up to the pulpit, he was dressed in black robes and a white collar, but you’d recognize him anywhere -- those wild curls, kind eyes, and breathtaking smile.
Kay.
Your Kay— no, not anymore. He’d gone to seminary school and you were marrying someone else, remember?
He was older now, and even from where you sat you could see the faint lines creasing his face, but he was still as gorgeous as you remembered him and your heart constricted for a moment as memories assailed you, overwhelming you — of awkward fumblings in the back of your car, of stumbled “I love you’s” for the first time, of —
“Hey, what’s gotten into you?”
Matthew’s voice in your ear snapped you out of your thoughts and you weren’t sure if you were grateful or annoyed.
“Huh? What do you mean?” you replied, trying to compose yourself, though you still felt like you couldn’t quite catch your breath.
“You went white as a sheet,” Matthew answered with a frown and you shook your head, your eyes returning to Kay.
“Is that your Priest?” you asked instead and your fiance glanced at you curiously.
“Yeah, he’s pretty new though, why?”
“He’s uhm, he’s just so… so young,” you whispered, stumbling over your words. “I thought priests were usually supposed to be, you know… old?”
Matthew snorted softly. “Don’t tell me you have the hots for him too.”
“What?” you hissed, glancing past him to see if his parents had overheard; they hadn’t seemed to and Matthew merely looked amused.
“Oh yeah, he’s rather popular with the other church girls, but I can’t see it,” he scoffed and your lips twitched angrily.
“I dunno, I can see the appeal,” you murmured under your breath. “I think he’s rather handsome.”
Your fiance rolled his eyes. “Sure, whatever,” he mumbled and you ignored him, turning back to the front. For a moment Kay’s gaze seemed to pass over you and he froze, his words dying on his tongue as he faltered, his eyes going wide with shock, and he hastily cleared his throat, unable to look away.
Smiling uncertainly, you met his gaze and his reaction seemed to answer the unvoiced question that had been plaguing you since he’d stepped up to the pulpit.
Clearly, he remembered you.
What were the odds that he’d be the priest here, you thought, settling back in your seat. It seemed like some sort of cruel cosmic joke, taunting you. Or maybe it’s a sign? a little voice in the back of your head whispered. Maybe, you agreed hesitantly… if you believed in that sort of thing.
——
The rest of the sermon seemed to go by much quicker, though every time Kay’s eyes passed over you he seemed to tense slightly, while your knotted stomach would give a flutter, too lost in memories you hadn’t thought of in years to remember much of the message.
So when your fiance’s mom asked you what you thought of the homily, you had to lie through your teeth, sorry God, and hope she didn’t question you further.
“Yeah, I wasn’t really paying attention either,” Matthew muttered as you filed out of the sanctuary after his parents and turned down a side hall toward the Parish office.
Shit, you thought frantically, you’d almost forgotten you were to meet with the Priest after Mass to speak about converting and beginning that process. Which meant you’d be meeting with Kay. Great.
“Ah, Father, there you are, lovely sermon,” Matthew’s mother exclaimed and you gave a start, your heart leaping into your throat as you turned to find Kay approaching.
Cool it, [y/n], you told yourself, trying to calm your pounding heart. How many years has it been? Besides, you’re getting married and he’s a fucking priest for Christ’s sake —shit, sorry, God. He chose this life over you, remember that.
“Father, this is our soon to be daughter-in-law, [y/n].”
Shit, you were being introduced, say something, [y/n].
Luckily, before you could decide whether to pretend you’d never met before or explain that you already knew each other, Kay was reaching out to shake your hand, and wordlessly you slipped your hand in his.
“How do you do?” he murmured, holding onto you a beat longer than was proper, but you didn’t exactly want to let go either.
“Good, I’m good,” you managed to stammer, his smile still doing things to your pulse.
“So, uhm, shall we step into my office?” he asked, finally letting go of your hand, almost seeming to have forgotten he was still holding it.
“Actually, we’ll be on our way. She’s in your hands now, Father,” your future in-laws exclaimed, and you waved as they exchanged a few more pleasantries before making their exit.
“Do I need to be part of this meeting too?” Matthew asked suddenly, as soon as his parents had gone and you turned to frown at him, sharp suspicion filling you, but you kept your mouth shut and swallowed it, not wanting to cause a scene in front of Kay.
“I… I suppose not,” Kay answered hesitantly, and a look of relief flashed across your fiance’s face.
“Sorry to run. I’ll see you later, hun,” he exclaimed, planting a distracted kiss to the top of your head before striding away, already pulling his phone from his pocket and you scowled after him.
“Sure, make me go through all this for you and then don’t even stick around,” you muttered under your breath as you watched him go.
“Er… shall we?” Kay prompted, holding his office door open and you gave a small jolt, shaking yourself out of your thoughts to enter the dark room, Kay reaching for the light switch as he followed.
“Have a seat,” he offered, gesturing to the set of chairs facing his desk before hanging up his robes and taking a seat as well, facing you. “[y/n],” he exclaimed, familiarity leeching into his voice now that you were alone. “To say I’m surprised to see you here would be a bit of an understatement.”
“That makes two of us,” you replied, looking around his office.
“It’s been so long,” he murmured, gazing down at his hands, “you look so —it’s uh, it’s good to see you,” he said, cutting himself off and you desperately wished you knew what he had been going to say instead.
“You look good,” you replied, offering him a hesitant smile, your eyes flicking over him. “Am I supposed to call you Father, or--? Because, I’ll be honest, that’s kinda weird,” you admitted, and Kay grimaced slightly.
“I mean technically you’re supposed to, but…” he paused to clear his throat, “—I agree, it is a little … strange,” he admitted as well and you were glad to see he hadn’t changed too much.
“Right? It’s too close to calling you ‘daddy’,” you muttered, realizing too late what you’d just said, feeling your face heat with embarrassment, as across from you, Kay had turned nearly as red as you felt, and he quickly cleared his throat, hooking his finger under his collar in discomfort.
“Let’s uhm, let’s talk about what you’ll need to do to join the Church,” he said, quickly changing the subject and you heaved a breath, thankful to ignore that awkwardness.
“Right, yeah,” you agreed. “So, what exactly do I have to do?”
Composing himself, Kay folded his hands atop his desk. “Well, usually new converts wishing to become baptized in the Catholic Church have to attend a series of classes for nearly a year—“
“A year?” you yelped, cutting him off, your eyes widening at the thought.
“—But,” Kay continued wryly, “we usually make exceptions for those marrying into the Church, letting them join on a more condensed timeline, opting for uh...private lessons,” he explained, his voice constricting at the word private.
“So… you’re saying I’ll be taking one on one lessons... with you?” you asked, chewing the inside of your lip. This sounds like a bad idea.
You were already painfully aware of the fact that you’d never truly gotten over your feelings for Kay and now you’d be spending one on one time with him on a weekly basis, all the while knowing it was only so you could enter into a marriage you didn’t truly want. Already your heart was racing and your mind was reeling with memories all clamoring for your attention.
You didn’t know if you could do this. If you should do this.
But part of you wanted to, if only to be close to him again.
“Will that… be a problem?” Kay asked slowly, as if he had to force the words out.
“No,” you answered quickly, “no, that sounds good.”
Liar.
“Are-are you sure? I mean, with our, ahh… history, I wouldn’t want —“
“I don’t want anyone else.”
At your words Kay’s eyes widened and you could practically hear his breath hitch from where you sat and for a moment neither of you spoke, the words hanging in the air like a confession and you felt your face once more grow hot.
“I mean, I don’t want anyone else for a teacher,” you amended, clutching your hands together in your lap.
I want you.
“Oh, y-yes, that’s… that’s good,” Kay murmured, taking a deep breath, his tongue darting out to wet his lips. “We’ll start next week then.”
You nodded as you stood. “Sounds good to me.”
“[y/n]—“
Opening his office door, you hesitated, glancing back at him as he quickly called your name.
“Yes… Father?”
Kay swallowed thickly. “It… it truly is good to see you again.”
A small smile tugged at your lips. “Yeah, it is. Til next week, then.”

Parabatai At Their Best (and their worse)
Crying while rereading my “Parabatai shit” post I realised that (even thought I think all I worte is true) I might have been a little bit rough. I love Matthew and James so much (both as a duo and individually) and this won’t be my last post about them being nice and super cute parabatai, at all, it’ll take me ages before shutting the fuck up about this book, so here you are, my favorite parts of them:
“Matthew,” said James. “Matthew, I know you’re under there. Come out, or I swear on the Angel I will pith you like a frog.”
I was laughing so loud my dad started yelling at me (it was around midnight) (I woke my three-months-old neighbour) (sorry not sorry)
Jem’s violin had pride of place—a Stradivarius carved of mellow wood, it rested in an open case atop a high table. James had seen his father come into this room just to touch the violin sometimes, a faraway look in his eyes. He wondered if he would do the same with Matthew’s belongings if one day, he lost his parabatai. He pushed the thought away. Matthew was like food, sleep, breathing; doing without him would not be possible.
I know Cassie told us, even recenlty that the family tree already lied to us and that we should not trust it, but we all know Matthew will have some twisted end, most probably in the last book, and James WILL eventually do without him and the thought alone hurts like a mothertrucker.
“Jamie,” he whispered. “I’m sorry to have to do this.” He swallowed. “You are cursed. A child of demons. It is why you can see the shadow realm. You are seeing the place you belong.”
James jerked back, staring at Matthew. Matthew, who smelled of brandy and familiarity. Matthew, who could be cruel but never to James. James’s vision began to slide into grayness. Matthew went white. “James,” he said. “I didn’t mean it—”
Okay, but Matthew realising he might have stepped too far this time? I swear this whole scene was an up and down of crying and laughing like crazy, and heart attacks too.
“No stealing the books and bringing them back to the Devil Tavern,” said Matthew. “It would not be the first time your book kleptomania has gotten us in trouble.” James held his hands up innocently.
BITCH I’M JAMES I STEAL BOOKS FROM MY GRAMMA ALL THE TIME AND MY MOTHER GETS THE SCOLDING
Matthew squeezed his eyes shut, as if in pain. “Oh, Jamie,” he sighed. “What if I said there is no shadow?” “I would not believe you,” said James. “I know what I feel in my own heart.” “James,” said Matthew. “You’re starting to slide off the bridge.” “Good.” James closed his eyes. “Maybe I’ll be able to sleep tonight.” Matthew leaped down, just in time to catch James as he slumped backward off the wall.
Tumblr media
When James woke in the morning, he was lying in his own bed. In a velvet wing-backed chair nearby Matthew was dozing, his cheek propped on his hand. Matthew always looked quite different when he was asleep.
BUT GUYS DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS? MATTHEW NEVER SLEEPS THE SAME AND OH GOSH THE SOFTNESS OF THIS BOY OVERWHELMS ME
“Magnus would never create a bridge that would collapse,” said Matthew. His green eyes were shining, and James felt a rush of affection for his parabatai; Matthew had always loved magic.
Same Jamie, same. I’m like this:
Tumblr media
Matthew’s voice shook. “We have to go back to the Silent City. We have to get you to Jem—”
“It won’t work,” he said softly. “No one can follow me into the shadows, Math. Not even you.” Matthew walked swiftly toward the archway, even as James called out to him in sharp alarm.
I don’t know if I’d be able to have such a strong connection with someone. Anyone for what concerns me. It’d be an honor to have it, but the pain, the suffering. I’m not a strong person and being tied to someone like this… Maybe I’d die with worry.
Matthew gasped. His hand flew to his chest: he pressed there, hard, as if a knife had gone into his heart and he was trying to stop the bleeding. His face was utterly white. “He’s dying,” he said, his voice cracking. “I can feel it.”
And this? Feeling them dying? Fcuk no
Matthew sat beside him, wearing a velvet jacket and matching trousers. James had wavered in and out of consciousness for the first two days after his visit to Belial’s realm. Sometimes he dreamed of the demon world and woke up yelling, reaching for a weapon that wasn’t there. His knives might not have been beside him, but Matthew always was.
Tumblr media
“He’s burning the house down, isn’t he?” said Cordelia. “Bloody Herondales,” said Matthew, with a sort of epic despair.
No need to comment
“It coincidentally burned down while you were in it?” grumbled Matthew. “If I could explain—” “You cannot.” Matthew shook his head, scattering ash. “I am completely out of patience. The bank of patience is exhausted! I am not even being extended any patience on credit! You and I and Cordelia are going home, and once home, I will berate you at enormous length. Prepare yourself.” James hid a smile. “I shall do exactly that.”
This gave me such strong Alec/Jace vibes I jumped from my bed and was like:
Tumblr media
AND FOR THIS FINAL, LAST BUT NOT LEAST, BEST QUOTE ABOUT OUR BABY BOYS NOW GROWN UPS
Will was grinning like a boy. “Wait until I tell Jem—”
This is so pure and soft I’m-

Changes
Chapter 18
My nerves were tearing me apart. I sat in the corner of the sofa in Matthew Vaughn’s trailer and Taron sat on the other side. Matthew was standing in front of us, pacing back and forth. His hands rested on his hips and look of frustration was strong on his face.
“So neither of you have any clue what this photo is about?” Matthew asked as he gestured to hi s laptop sitting on the counter near us.
I waited to see if Taron would say anything. He stayed quiet so I spoke up. “I mean, obviously it’s the two of us,” I started. “We ran into each other at the park. He asked if I wanted to join so I did.”
Matthew stared me down. I hoped to god he didn’t know I was lying. “And the hand holding?”
“I about lost my balance,” Taron chimed in. “Just bumped into her.”
Matthew’s gaze went between Taron and I. “So there’s nothing to worry about here?” He asked,
“Nope. Just friends.” I paused with a shrug. “Truthfully more like acquaintances. This is like what, the third time we’ve actually talked?” I asked Taron as I looked to him before turning my attention back to Matthew. “Any other questions? Or can I go get the cast ready for this scene?”
“Yeah, yeah. Go ahead, Rose. Thanks for your time,” Matthew said as he waved me off. He offered a smile as I stood up and left the trailer.
My heart was racing as I stood outside. I tried to catch my breath before I started walking. I glanced over my shoulder at the trailer, trying to see if Taron would appear. When I didn’t see him, I kept walking. I hurried to the location of the current scene, grabbing my copy of the script and going over things with the cast.
All day I buried myself in the script and anything I was thrown. I tried to keep from focusing on Taron when I could. I could feel his gaze on me, pressing into me the longer I kept myself away from him. Maybe Matthew had been right to be suspicious. Maybe our little escapades to steal kisses weren’t so secret after all. I shook myself out of my thoughts and carried on with the rest of the day.
When they finally wrapped filming for the day, I gathered my things and bid everyone before I began my walk home. The set wasn’t horribly far from my apartment and sometimes the walk home was nice to free my mind.
I put headphones in and grabbed my phone, starting the playlist I had been adding to since Taron and I had started talking. I checked for messages and saw one from the man himself.
See you in a little bit.
I didn’t bother sending a message. I figured by time I had walked home, Taron’s ride would have already dropped him off at my apartment. So instead I let myself get lost in the music as my legs carried me home.
Sure enough when I arrived at the apartment complex, a black car with tinted windows waited by the curb. I got up the steps to the building and opened the door as the car door opened. I heard footsteps on the concrete steps. I didn’t look at him as I made my way to the steps and began to climb them.
Once in the safety of my apartment, I tossed my stuff down and threw off my jacket before falling into the sofa. Taron shut the door and locked it, shrugging off his own jacket.
“Just friends?” He repeated to me. “Acquaintances?”
My gaze was on my hands on my lap. I was anxious. I was worried about my job and if I was jeopardizing things now.
Taron walked in front of me and scooted the coffee table over just a little before kneeling in front of me. He tucked himself between my open legs and grabbed my hands. “I mean, you could’ve fooled me. With all the kisses and sharing my bed…” He teased as he looked at me. Taron took my hands in his and lifted them, kissing them softly.
I forced myself to look at him. “I panicked. I didn’t want you to get in trouble and I was afraid I’d lose the job which meant losing the apartment and going back home,” I blurted. Tears welled in my eyes as I met his. My heart was still pounding in my chest.
“Hey, hey, hey. Shhh. It’s okay,” Taron said quickly. He kissed my hands again as his forearms rested on my legs. “I was just teasing. I promise.” Concern washed over his face as he reached up and wiped the only tear that managed to spill over. “It doesn’t matter though, love. My private life is my own. As is yours.”
I nodded and turned my gaze back to my hands in his. “Okay,” I murmured. “Okay. I’m sorry.”
Taron’s hand rested on my cheek and I leaned into it, shutting my eyes for a moment. “Nothing to sorry for, okay? All you were doing was looking out for us.”
“Us?” I repeated. I tried to fight the little smile that wanted to show but it was a losing battle.
Taron smirked as he watched my expression change. “Yeah. Us.” He grinned at me and now I really couldn’t help but to smile back at him. He stood up and took my hands again, pulling me up beside him. “Do you still feel like going out tonight?”
I bit my lower lip as I contemplated. Finally I gave him a nod. “Yeah, I do. I think some fun is in order.”
“Excellent. I can’t wait for you to meet my best mate.”
“I’ll change first then we can go,” I said before kissing Taron on the cheek.
“You sure?” He asked. “I like the flannel on you.”
I laughed and nodded. “I want to make a good first impression. Me dressing like this is not the best way.”
Taron shrugged, smiling at me. “Well for future reference, the flannel is very sexy.”
I rolled my eyes as I began to walk away, heading to my room. I switched into different jeans. They had two shades of denim- the inside a light blue and a seem down the middle that changed to a dark blue. I pulled a black shirt from my closet. In the light, the black fabric shimmered. The shoulders had cutouts and on the front, the low cut had a mesh lining and three slits across the fabric. I put the shirt on and went to the bathroom, finding my favorite matte red lipstick. I fixed my eyeliner and ran the hairbrush for through my hair before grabbing my burgundy leather jacket and going back to the living room and finding my boots again. I put them on and faced Taron.
“Better?” I asked.
Taron looked up from his phone, a smile slowly growing. His gaze flickered as he looked me over. “Okay that might be better than the flannel.” He quickly stood up and cleared the space between us, kissing me gently. “Almost makes me not want to go. I don’t want to share you.” I had no doubt my cheeks were red at his comment, matching my hair and lips. He leaned down and kissed me again, his hands finding my lower back. I could feel his reluctance as he pulled himself away. “We need to go before I change my mind,” he murmured to me, his voice low.
I nodded and slid my jacket on, grabbing my purse on the way out the door. The same car waited for us out front. The ride didn’t take long before pulling up to our destination. It was a karaoke bar. I had some how been convinced that I was going to sing tonight but I was doubtful. I knew I’d need a lot of liquid courage before that could happen.
Even though we bypassed the line to get in, I could hear the whispers and squeals of people who recognized Taron. Inside was easier to deal with. It was a little crowded but tolerable. Taron guided us to the bar and ordered us drinks before we found his friend at table.
“Jack!” Taron greeted with a grin. “This is Rose.”
“The one you talk about all the time?” Jack retorted before looking at me and holding out his hand. “Nice to meet you.”
“You too!” I answered as I shook his hand. “So all the time, huh?”
“Oh yeah. Doesn’t shut up honestly,” Jack said, laughter in his voice.
“Good to know,” I said with a sweet smile as I looked at Taron. He rolled his eyes as we took a seat at the table. I sipped on my drink and paid attention to the people who were on stage. Some people were honestly pretty good and the song choices, for the most part, were upbeat.
“So, Rose, you’re working on the movie too?” Jack asked.
I nodded. “Yeah! I’m a behind the camera person though. I make sure the continuity is there. That actions match the previous movies or that we have our facts right. That sort of thing.”
“Very cool!”
I grinned and nodded. “I’m loving it so far.”
Taron reached over and grabbed my hand that rested on the table, giving it a little squeeze. “Cast and crew love her. She’s been great,” he added. It almost sounded like he was bragging about me. “We got lucky, I think.” I blushed and took my drink in my hand again as he carried on. “She’s a pretty talented singer too.”
My eyes widened as I shook my head. “I don’t know about all that,” I said quickly. “And one drink is not going to be enough to get me up there to make a fool of myself.”
“And that would be why he ordered shots,” Jack said as a waitress walked to the table with a tray. She sat down nine shots in total. I groaned as Taron slid three of them to me. Jack and Taron both lifted one, so I followed suit. We clinked the little glasses before I downed the mouthful of vodka. It burned as it fell down my throat, leaving me to scrunch my nose and shake my head a little.
Taron laughed at my expression before getting up. He went up to wait his turn to sing. Once on stage, I recognized George Michael’s Faith. I sang along quietly at the table while Taron was up there. Once he came back to his spot, he looked at me and pointed at the stage.
“One shot still isn’t enough.”
Taron smirked and grabbed a second. I sighed and took a second. We repeated the same steps: clink and throw back the drink. The second shot was worse than the first. I could feel the heat already growing on my face. “What’s your song of choice?” Taron asked. “Because don’t have anyone signed up after this song.”
I sighed and looked at the stage, racking my brain for what song I could manage. I jumped off the stool and finished off my original drink. I would probably request it later. Mixing light and dark alcohols were always a mistake. I walked over the queue for the stage and gave the guy running it the song. He looked over the list and nodded once he saw it on the list. I waited for my turn, bouncing on my legs.
The girl in front of me finished off her song and hurried off the stage before the guy gave the go ahead to go up. I climbed up the stairs and walked to the mic. The spotlight was bright in my eyes but luckily it kept me from seeing the majority of the crowd. I could see the prompter with the lyrics beginning to scroll across.
Stage fright was a very real thing as I stood there. I felt stiff behind the mic, singing the lyrics to Demi Lovato’s Ruin The Friendship. Then the alcohol began to hit. I was loosening up and felt myself diving into the lyrics. Truth be told, I didn’t care how I sounded. I just was glad I had actually gotten up on stage.
After the song ended, I heard clapping. I moved down the stairs again and could see far more people than I would have liked. But the majority of them were clapping. I found my way back to the table and climbed up on the stool. Before I gave myself the chance to listen to anything Taron or Jack were saying, I grabbed my remaining shot and threw it back.
When I put the glass down, I looked between the two of them. Taron was grinning and holding back laughter. Jack was giving me a nod of approval. Evidently I had done something right.
Jack disappeared a little while later, either to get more drinks or head to the restroom, leaving Taron and I alone. He stood up and moved beside me, standing next to my bar stool. He arm slid around my waist as he kissed my cheek.
“Were you trying to tell me something with that song?” He whispered into my ear.
I was flushed from the alcohol in my system but his breath on my ear sent shivers down my spine. “Wouldn’t you like to know,” I teased, looking at him and kissing him swiftly.

Tag Game!!!!!
Thank you, @the-coruscanti-blogger, for tagging me!
Okay, here we go!!
Name: Nadia of oh-great-authoress!
Gender: Female.
Star Sign: Like @the-coruscanti-blogger said, this is technically against my religion, but I do know that I am a Virgo.
Height: Over 5 feet, I can’t remember the exact number.
Sexuality: Straight.
Favorite Book: Uhh, difficult question. How about top three?
“The Lord of the Rings” by J. R. R. Tolkien (In my opinion it counts as one book. Yes, I know I’m technically cheating.)
“Washington's Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring” by Alexander Rose (They even made a tv series based on the events in this book called Turn: Washington’s Spies!) [Yes, I am a history nerd. :)]
“Niamh and the Hermit” by Emily C. A. Snyder (This book is a hidden treasure. It’s an adventure/epic quest/love story that is just… *chef’s kiss* perfection. It’s along the lines of LotR, so if you like that, you’ll probably love this.)
Current Time: Uhh, unholily late, or unholily early, depending on your outlook.
Average Amount of Sleep: Outside of quarantine, it varies from 8+ to 0, depending on the day.
Dogs or Cats: Both. Both is good.
# of Blankets You Sleep With: One thick one in colder weather, and two thin ones in warmer weather. I know it’s weird I use more when it’s warm, but it works for me.

Tumblr media
Favorite Animal: Foxes. Look at the YouTube channel SaveAFox. You’ll thank me later. Go.
Blog Established: January of 2020!
# of Followers: As of when I post this, 31!
Reason for URL: I hang around music nerds, and I am a bit… okay, I’m a music nerd. It’s a sort of oblique reference to a Gilbert and Sullivan song called “Minerva! Oh, Hear Me!” It’s a warping of one of the lyrics, which says, “Oh, goddess wise” I couldn’t remember the actual lyric, (I forgot google existed) and in my memory, I changed it to “Oh, great goddess”, which sounded right. Again, I forgot google existed. And I have a dramatic streak a mile wide. (Or a couple of miles wide, depends on who you ask) In addition, I like to write, a lot, (I also hate it a lot sometimes) so that turned into @oh-great-authoress!

Questions I’m Adding (Feel free to ignore my added questions)
Favorite Pairings
Favorite Season
Favorite Color(s)
Favorite Actresses and Actors
My Answers to My Own Questions
Question 1.
Favorite Pairings
Reylo — Ben Solo/Rey — Star Wars (I don’t need to say any more about this.)
Gingerflower — Armitage Hux/Rose Tico — Star Wars (Okay, guys, guys, guys, hear me out, okay? Please don’t come @ me. I got sucked into this via Reylo Modern AU fanfics, and I went down a rabbit hole. From there, I read some canon-divergent fic, and it got me thinking. I mean TRoS didn’t even obliquely mention Finn/Rose, so, I thought, why the kriff not. Why shouldn’t Rose “Save What We Love” Tico get a romance/definitively happy ending via fanfic. We already had one Enemies-to Lovers pairing in the Sequel Trilogy, what’s one more? And when you add in Hux’s “I’m the Spy!”? This kinda writes itself. Resistance Spy-Master Rose Tico? Why not. Plus, that deleted scene from TLJ did kind of open this whole thing up.)
Farawyn — Faramir/Eowyn — LotR (If you haven’t read the books or watched the Extended Editions of the films, Faramir and Eowyn end up together, which is why they’re standing next to each other in the Theatrical Edition of RotK, at the end. In the books, they have practically an entire chapter dedicated to them and their romance. And boy, does Faramir have game.)
Fitzwilliam Darcy/Elizabeth Bennet — Pride & Prejudice (I also don’t need to say any more about this.)
Col. Brandon/Marianne Dashwood — Sense & Sensibility (Watch the 1995 adaptation and tell me this is not pairing gold.)
Mary/Matthew — Downton Abbey (Yes, the Season 3 finale broke my heart, thank you.)
Dramione — Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger — Harry Potter (Again, please don’t come @ me, this pairing is basically Reylo in a Harry Potter AU.)
Bathena — Bobby Nash/Athena Grant — 911 (Yes, I do watch this. I actually didn’t see this coming. My Mom saw it coming before I did. But once it happened, I was like, oh yeah, this is my jam.)
Ventrobi — Obi-Wan Kenobi/Asajj Ventress — Star Wars (Okay, yes, I am a sucker for Enemies-to Lovers, okay? And this is Enemies-to-Lovers gold, alright?
Christopher Pike/Number One (Una) — Star Trek (Got into this ship via fanfic, but Discovery/Short Treks well and truly cemented this for me.)
Question 2.
Favorite Season
Fall. Without question. The weather becomes temperate, and in early fall you still get the pretty flowers of summer, but with cooler weather, and in full-out-fall, you get to wear pretty sweaters and boots and scarves, and you get the trees changing color.
Question 3.
Favorite Color(s)
Pink
Teal
Green
Blue
Purple
Question 4.
Favorite Actresses and Actors
Adam Driver (Guys. Come on.)
Daisy Ridley (Guys. Come on.)
Domnhall Gleeson (I liked him even before he was General Hux, guys, he was great in a movie called “About Time” and “Goodbye Christopher Robin”.)
Kelly Marie Tran (She was amazing as Rose, I still feel bad she didn’t get more screen time, especially after what happened to her after TLJ.)
Ewan McGregor (Um, he’s Obi-Flipping-Wan Kenobi.)
Letitia Wright (She was great as Shuri in “Black Panther”.)
Danai Gurira (She was Awesome as General Okoye in “Black Panther. Note the capital A.)
Colin Firth (P&P ‘95 and The King’s Speech. That’s all I have to say.)
Alan Rickman (S&S ‘95 + Harry Potter + Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Amazing performances. I mean, truly amazing. Nuanced, and just plain hilarious in the case of Robin Hood. His performance as Col. Brandon just pulls at the heartstrings with every single expression in his eyes, and no matter how you feel about Severus Snape, you cannot deny that Alan, God rest his soul, played him brilliantly.)
Hayden Christensen (He was The Chosen One.)
Bruce Greenwood (His portrayal of Captain Pike in Star Trek: 2009 was the reason I wrote and actually finished a fic.)
Anson Mount (His portrayal of Captain Pike in Star Trek: Discovery was the reason I wrote and actually finished more fic.)
And that’s it! I hope I have not ticked off anyone. If I have, I apologize for the ticking off, but not my opinions. I hope you can respect them, or at least ignore them.
Stay Well, People!

“Bistro” - [Tom Hiddleston | One Shot ]
Based on: Imagine; A friend in common arranges a blind date between Tom and you. Both of you knew nothing about each other’s personalities, just like a blind date should be. So what a surprise when you arrive to the Bistro and Tom is there waiting with a bright smile and his charming aura.
Written by: Crispy Imagines.
Soundtrack:
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / Ambience
Notes: I had a good time writing this and hope you like it as much as I did. Maybe you’ll find it more like a romcom, instead of romance. -D.
Friends. Once they’re engaged, no one can stop them from trying to help others to be in the same status. That was your best friend’s duty; find the perfect partner for you, according to her words — she was going to get married with a well-known film director; a good man, in deed. And since then, she’s been trying to make you believe in fairy tales.  Even though you appreciated your friend’s worry and care for you, you weren’t really interested to open Tinder and find a brainless man to share life with. So, it wasn’t quite a pleasure to find out she had arranged you a date with a man whose name was unknown to you.
“What the hell were you thinking about, Liz?”
“It will be a blind date, darling. Just like the old times.”
“The old times? We were on high school!”
“Okay, I know you’re mad about this. But don’t worry, Matt and I are going with you”, Liz sighed. “Furthermore, he’s actually quite charming; you won’t regret anything. Promise ”
You rolled your eyes when noticed that trying to escape wasn’t an option.
“What should I wear, then?”
“I would recommend that nice dress we bought years ago and hasn’t seen the light since 2010”, she said raising her glass of wine with a smile of satisfaction peeking out from the corner of her lips.
“Matt, are you sure you told him where the Bistro is?”
Liz asked to her fiancé while she turned the car to the right.
“I did, darling. Bistro La Roca, 8 p.m.” , he nodded and said softly to calm down her nerves.
“Thank you. What did he say?”
The picture of a couple of days before on the set reproduced on his mind.
The sun had reached its highest point; meanwhile, an actor and director were exploring the garden in which the scene of the day would be filmed.
“You will approach and hide behind those trees, so the camera can get a better view”, Matt pointed an area about four meters from their position.
“Then that’s it”, Tom and Matt nodded as they kept walking.
“How are the wedding plans going, by the way?”, the actor asked while he focused his sight to the ground, kicking some rocks.
“Great, pretty well must say. Liz is quite excited about it”
“And so are you”, Tom looked at him with a kind smile on his face.
“And so am I, exactly”, Matt took a deep breath before speak. “Now that you mention it… I’d like to warn you that she has an extra invitation in case you’d want to bring someone”
“Warn me?”, the actor stared at his partner with intrigue reflected upon his eyes.
“Listen, mate”, both artists stopped their walk and looked at each other, “Liz arranged a kind of blind date, a double blind date between you and a girl she knows. It hasn’t been settled yet, we wanted to ask you first”
“Oh Matt…”
“I know, I know. But… We’ve worked on many projects together, and even when you say it’s not the way you feel, I realize you’d like someone by your side”
“Where is it?” Tom sighed.
“Bistro La Roca, 8 p.m.” Matt answered as a bright smile came out of his face “She’s a nice girl, Tom. You won’t regret”
And so, the sun set while two souls on different sides of the city were completely unaware of the twists night might bring.
Just half an hour before 8 p.m., the wind flow changed. The echo of a phone ringing could be heard all over the apartment; you stood up from the sofa to reach the device.
“Yes?”
A familiar female voice responded weakly on the other side of the line.
“Oh honey…”
By the tone of Liz’s voice, you were preparing yourself for bad news. Maybe he cancelled it.
“I… I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…”
“It’s okay, Liz”, you interrupted her, nodding as if she could see you.
“Matt and I won’t be able to be with you, darling. I’m sorry. Something went wrong with our car and can’t be there on time”, there could be heard in the background some engine noises and Matt's voice talking to someone else.
“Oh…”
“But you go. Don’t let this mess up the night”, Liz hurried her words before her friend could speak.
“No… Liz, I don’t believe…”, but now you were the only one on the line “Liz? Liz!”
You pursed your lips and took a deep breath, while an old memory crossed your mind as if time never happened.
Long fights with men who didn’t understand the importance of your work, of how much time you had to spent when a spark or whatever came up. You sighed. Maybe this idea was a complete nonsense, and you’d make a fool out of yourself supporting it.
Decided to stay home, you turned on the T.V. once again, finding one of your favorite romcoms on the screen. Just as if it was a sign of hope, the scene had La Vie en Rose as background while the main character was under the magic of walking around Paris at night with someone by her side.
“You must be fucking kidding me”, you rolled your eyes for yourself, surprised by the coincidence. “I’ll be back before the film finishes”
And so, you reached the door to walk away from the apartment on your way to that Bistro.
Almost simultaneously, Tom was in front of a mirror adjusting his tie, and for a moment his eyes went blank as he remembered how long it had been since he had a real date. Even more about a blind date.
The truth is, an actor’s life had its ups and downs, there were unexpected commitments that made him leave the city, or long shooting seasons that prevented him from being at home. Therefore, his life as a couple haven’t flourished because he just hadn’t found someone with whom to balance romance and work.
Tom was about to plunge into a sea of memories when the sound of his phone ringing brought him back to Earth.
“Hey, Matt. What’s up?”
“Hey, Tom”, the director’s voice seemed to be accompanied by a sigh.
Noises coming from a car and Liz’s voice arguing exasperated with someone else could be heard in the distance.
“Is everything alright?”
“Tom, I’m sorry. Liz and I got a problem with the car and we’re waiting for a mechanic to come”
“God. And are you okay?”
“Yeah, we are. Nothing happened to us”
“If I can do…”
“You can, mate. Go there with this lady and have some fun”, and anticipating Tom’s intentions, the director added “don’t worry about us, we’ll be fine”
Liz's voice asking for Matt's help was heard again.
“Bye, Tom”, he said before hung up.
The actor looked at his phone's screen for a few seconds with raised eyebrows, doubtful. But then he kept it on the pocket of his jacket. And, after a last glance downstairs, he grabbed his coat and car keys letting a sigh came out as he closed the door.
“He believed it?”
“I think so. Did she?”
“I hung up before she could refuse” Liz giggled.
Matt smiled back and crossed his arm around his fiancee's neck, leading her into the house as she closed the garage door where their car was parked without any damage.
“We're better than Cupid, Matt”
“Hello”, Tom saluted and cleared his throat while adjusting nervously his tie.
“Good evening, sir”
“I think there's a reservation on behalf of Matthew Behrs?”
“In deed. Matthew Behrs, table for 2. If you’d like to follow me, I'll show you...”
“Excuse me, did you say ‘table for 2′?”, Tom interrupted approaching his head to hear better.
“So it is”, responded cordially the hostess.
Tom snickered, looking up at the ceiling to realize Matt’s and Liz’s great move.
“Is there a problem, sir?”
“None, sorry”
The hostess lead him to a table on a terrace on the second floor with a perfectly balanced view of London City and a clear sky. Tom thanked her attention and took a seat, glancing the beauty before his eyes as he tried to control his heartbeats.
When getting off the taxi, you couldn’t help but stand admiring the exquisite beauty of one of the best Bistros in London. The place combined the eccentricity of the city with peace and tranquility that can only be found inside a cottage.
After a sigh of self-empowerment, you approached the entrance and a couple of men in uniform opened the doors nicely. God, Bistro La Roca was even more breathtaking inside with those dim lights illuminating the entire floor surrounded by a bittersweet mahogany scent and good food.
“Good night Miss”
“Goodnight”
Shit. Since Liz was supposed to come with you, you didn’t know whose name the reservation would be on.
“Excuse me, is there a reservation for Elizabeth Jordan or Matthew Behrs?”
The hostess reviewed the list, glancing at you before continuing to search for the name.
“Oh yes”, she nodded and smiled cordially. “Reservation Mr. Matthew Behrs, table for two at 8”. The woman made a gesture with her hand pointing to the stairs “Follow me, someone’s already waiting for you.”
With each step, little by little, you could feel weak at the knees and your heartbeat accelerating.
“Liz, I'm going to kill you,” you muttered to yourself.
As soon as you reached the second floor, your eyes started swimming among a sea of people, looking for a table with a man alone. However, your gaze fixed in the beautiful view while walking through the numerous windows, and almost tripped over a small step without realizing that the woman had lead you to one of the biggest windows that opened onto a terrace.
Only a couple of tables were occupied; one of them by a man seated giving his back. Your heart could’ve left its place right away, but the pleasant view made all energy stream down your spine.
The hostess turned to you indicating with a nod and a smile your seat.
“Welcome…”
She said a few more words, but your senses seemed to have stopped the moment your eyes were fixed in Tom’s, who stood up immediately at your arrival, stupefied as well.
He did manage to hear the hostess's last words, barely understanding an "enjoy your evening", but this was enough for him to come back to reality and raise the chair so that you could take sit.
And thank heaven he did it, because only then could you recover your senses and react.
“Thanks”, you said weakly trying to bring your voice back.
“Tom”, he raised his hand to meet yours and introduce each other. “What a wonderful name, is it foreign?”, you smiled at the comment.
Wine and breadsticks were placed on the table as you kept talking and dinner was being served.
Suddenly, you both found each other laughing and sharing what could be the best dinner of your lives.
“Yeah, that’s how I broke my leg during summer for eating too much Gelato”, Tom said as he smiled with the simple memory of it.
“What a waste of Gelato, must say”, you giggled.
Thomas felt… Someone was truly interested on him. It wasn’t a conversation about his career nor Hollywood life, but a sincere one.
“Well, then let us celebrate your burned cake and my Gelato”, he raised his glass of wine. “Cheers?”
“Cheers”
You felt… Good God, like never before. The atmosphere and his charming aura made your soul rejoice and have true fun, not that usual forced one.
Food and wine were over but laughs and talks were not. After helping you with the chair like a true gentleman, both walked away of Bistro La Roca side by side. The wind began to blow very hard, inevitably sending you to Tom's arm.
“Oh, I’m sorry”, you looked at him like if you had broken his arm.
“How daring of you. You’ll have to respond to that…”, Tom frowned and wrinkled his nose, imitating a beast to emphasize his next words “aggressive act of yours”
“What?”, you snickered but trying to be serious.
“Let’s have a walk while I think how you could apologize correctly”, Tom took off his coat and placed it on your shoulders.
And so, the silhouette of two souls walking went lost under the shine of London stars.
