hii! <3 may i request a hc about mashle characters if they found out they had a little sister in the middle of their school year and how they would act to her, also if possible, can you add a small part where they first interacted?
i have a sister..? ──── mashle various.
featuring. mash squad + ames brothers.
notes. this is an interesting req! all platonic fluff.
★ MASH BURNEDEAD
sweet, poor, mash would be so confused. she has the same honey eyes as him. even more miraculously, the same bangs and the same smooth silky hair that's in a specificly round shape. a one liner with pretty average magic. she does not like cream puffs. she likes tarts. obsessively. so when she's in the dormitory kitchen making berry tarts for herself and mash came in to make cream puffs, they stared at each other and she immediately screamed "you just look like me!!" and mash tilts his head. "i didn't know i had a twin." and she replied, head also tilting, "we're twins..?" both of them are equally dumb cuz why not.. mash's sis is based on this art.
★ FINN + RAYNE AMES
little female version of them with black and yellow/blonde hair definitely stands out. so it was made into a commotion then rayne being a d.v. came to the commotion where one day it just exploded. his sister didn't even hesitate to call him brother at first sight. he froze at the sight of her and suddenly all the memories came flushing in of her being taken away. (oo mysterious) "tell me your name. now." he demands and she tells him and he covers his mouth at her voice. his sister who was taken away from him so long ago is now here, standing right in front of him. rayne caught sight of finn standing afar, also frozen. then finn runs to catch his long lost sister in a hug. omg so emotional
★ LANCE CROWN
new victim to siscon about. im kidding. he doesn't know he has a wayyyy elder sister that's like d.v. level. she left the crown family long ago before lance was born so he know not of her existence. she came to visit the school one day as a special guest to demonstrate magic to the students. accidentally introduced as a crown before saying she has no surname cuz if fam issues. uses gravitiy magic, but hers is more intense and solid. lance knew they were related of some sort but he is unsure. confronts her after the demo as she's leaving the school. honestly, his sister would be shocked that there are two of her little successors. would tell lance to keep doing what's he's doing and she's very motivating! lance knows she wants nothing to do w the fam anymore and he respects her for it, wishing her luck in life.
★ DOT BARRETT
in denial. there's a big difference in their appearance. she'd probably won't have such striking red hair as he does but more to a softer colour. i'm betting on her having a calm personality. but her ability tho. it's the same exact magical ability, hereditary, in fact. so when she appeared in school right in front of him, they were staring at each other in silence before dot started freaking out and started accusing her of looking similar to him. they also have the same line marking!! she's just there like "...?" then she'll ask, "are you dot barrett?" he nods. "oh wow! i'm a barrett too! although i was absent pretty much your whole life. lemme introduce myself, i am your sister bla bla bla" super respectful.
★ LEMON IRVINE
lemon having a sister??? younger or older, it doesn't matter. she's just really happy to find out she has a sister kept secret from her for the longest time. probably has super long hair. very confident and charismatic. she's under the wing of another family as that family wanted lemon's sister to be a bride of their son. they first met when she came to visit the irvine house and lemon immediately recognised her as she's that one cool girl in school. they immediately clicked and become close to each other after lemon's parents told lemon abt her secret sister. vv wholesome and sweet. the next day at school they're already besties doing whatever sisterish things they've always wanted to do if they hv a sister.

Hiyaaaa! 🧚♂️
You said in this ask that you would love to talk about your OCs, sooooo... Top 5 OC? 👀🍬
Hiiii 🕺
I also do indeed!
1) how dare you make me try to rank my babies (affectionate) 2) top 5 oc of what!! So many things I could go off on!!!
Jk jk, but I did choose to list five of my first OC created in a fandom. Bc why not. Important note that some of them were created more than ten years ago (a bit reworked more recently)!
-
1- [Fairy Tail] Lyna Dreyar (technically now Dreyar-McGarden) . I genuinely don't remember much from when I created her years ago — I think I do have notes somewhere. She was always Laxus' little sister though. She was also a Dragon Slayer but now she isn't anymore jdjdjdb. I think I reworked her personality a bit too? She was more of an extrovert in my first drafts I think, but she's not as much anymore 🤔
-
2- [One Piece] Monkey D. Ceeli (previously Shelly). Once again, I created her a long time ago! And she changed a bit, too. (I mean, we also learned some more about this world since I created her lmao). She's Luffy's little sister (by three years). In my first drafts (I do have a fanfic with a few chapters posted with her as a character, over on my ff.net... not on ao3 bc i don't think I will ever complete it) she was supposed to have been raised with the ASL brothers, with a pretty serious personality and very interested by the Revolutionary in general. Also I don't remember what it was exactly but she had powers™. Now, she has a super powered haki (bc i can), she was raised by their mother (for... reasons), and Luffy doesn't know her (or that she exists). She's also way less serious and a bit more into the overexcited side.
-
3- [HP] Daisy Potter (it... wasn't her first name when I first thought about her but I can't remember what it was now). Again, a very old OC! She wasn't that developed all that time ago, but she's way more present in my mind now haha. You will never guess, but she's Harry's little sister, bc i once found the HC that Lily was pregnant when she died and I ran away with it. Interestingly enough, I think that the explanation I have for her birth now and then is the same? And same for her fate in canon,,, (I mean, a canon where she's born). Rip (i love u baby). I put her in a lot of different aus now, where she grows up differently each time and things impact her differently, but I think at her core she's a very brave and smart girl who wants to do good. She's her parents' daughter all the way!
-
4- [Star Wars] Letti Kryze. One of my most recent ones! So maybe five years old or so idk what time is. She's Korkie Kryze's daughter, a Jedi, eight years younger than Luke & Leia, and has the habit of causing accidental chaos everywhere she goes. I love her she's a baby. I remember after watching the first season of the Mandalorian thinking it would be funny if her and Din kept throwing the Darksaber back at each other bc neither of them want to be the big boss™. She's a tired teenage girl in the middle of an intergalactic war who just wants her father back and it shows.
-
5- [DC] Emma Pennyworth. Alfred's granddaughter via his daughter Julia. She is, in general, done with the Batfam's collective bullshit, and wants to hold the braincell. She's also like, twelve, so there's that. I've written her a few times actually!! She tries so hard to be serious and mature and she forgets a bit to be a kid, but also her favorite sport is annoying Damian lmao.
-
Bonus — this one time I was very into Hetalia and created an OC Bretagne, bc of course I did.
-
Yes there's a common theme in all of those lmao. Interestingly enough, even when the OC is like... Cringey and a bit Mary-Sue and all, the goal was always to have them as part of the family and... That's it. Legit 0 of them have a love interest (I'm thinking of Cana for Lyna but that's a very recent development, and I do have a few ideas for Letti but it would be another OC)!! It's so funny in insight idkdkd
I also have a fair share of OCs that are like. The next gen (you know the type). So there's that. I'm giving so many characters kids and I'm not even sorry.
... Well kids or random family members lmao.
#i answer asks#plantwithoutplot#i can actually talk more about them i think but my brain is a bit empty rn bc tored#tired#fairy tail#lyna dreyar-mcgarden#one piece#monkey d. ceeli#hp#daisy potter#star wars#letti kryze#dc#emma pennyworth#ocs#oc#my ocs#they're all my babies and i love them very much!!!#it's just a very small sample of ocs of mine lmao

LoZ - Hylia as a Character
Honestly, I really like the fact that Zelda/Hylia admits, rather openly, in fact, that what she did was wrong. Then, she owns up to it.
They could've gone the route that "this is destiny, you must" or made it seem like something entirely righteous & that the fact that it saves everyone automatically makes it okay, but the writers didn't.
What happened. What Hylia put into place was a necessary evil, but still wrong by its very nature of being a necessary EVIL. She manipulated Link, not because she wanted to, or because she was a bad person, but because it was the ONLY way that she could see things working out for the benefit of as many people involved as possible.
Still doesn't make it right, but it makes it understandable. Which are 2 very different things. And I've seen a lot of people conflating the 2. For whatever reason not realizing that you can understand why someone did something & that that something can still be wrong or morally questionable. And that these are 2 things that can exist at the same time.
Because Zelda said it best, "it was a war." It wasn't like what SS Link had experienced, where he was fighting most enemies one on one & it was really only himself who was in danger at a given moment. There were battles with armies & even the game says that the demons killed without mercy. In situations like that, you might have to do things that compromise your own morals & I just...
It makes Hylia so much more human in a way. She's not like the 3 golden goddesses who you only really interact with individuals who have their names & who may just be people that resemble them. (Minish Cap, Oracle of Seasons, & Oracle of Ages.) SS Zelda actually remembers being Hylia.
Thus meaning that SS Link's interaction with SS Zelda in that scene before putting herself to sleep, was the closest interaction any Link has ever had with an actual higher deity.
You get her actual opinion. Her regrets, her apologies. Seriously, she apologizes repeatedly. While it may be filtered through Zelda, who obviously cares very deeply about Link (yes, I ship zelink here, what of it), as she said, she was both Hylia & Zelda. Specifically, still Link's Zelda.
And I... I can't hate Hylia as a result.
Which causes me to not really understand the Hylia hate that I've seen here & there.
Like, it isn't Hylia's fault that she, Link, & Ganondorf were cursed. That was all The Bringer of Demise & his toddlerish butthurt over losing to not just a mortal, but a mortal teen. He cursed them, not Hylia. And what exactly do people think Hylia could've done?
What were her other options? She wasn't a goddess anymore at the time! And we dont even know the rules regarding the Hyrulean gods! There could be some sort of rule of non-interference or only indirect interference unless you give up your godhood that we don't know about!
And, if she hadn't done something, then think about what could've happened as a result.
According to the information that we currently have, Demise would've taken over & made a wish that we don't even know. Not only that, but he had apparently been killing so many humans that Hylia felt the need to lift pieces of land into the air via nothing but magic to keep Demise away from them! Like putting a toy up too high for a kid to reach.
This suggests that they nearly went extinct!
Also keep in mind that she literally gave up her godhood to keep everyone safe!! That's... that's huge!
Also, I hate that there are fans out there who blame Sky for them being cursed!
Dude just finished a fight with a Daimaō (yōkai general). A battle that involved a LOT of lightning striking the Master Sword, which is known to cause temporary deafness, disorientation, ect.
He likely wasn't even aware that the Bringer of Demise had cursed him & Zelda both.
The only person anyone should be blaming here is Demise.
Though, that does bring into question why Fi didn't notify Link of this fact.

The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 23. Contraband
Day 23. Contraband Crossover: Craig of the Creek, Disenchantment Apparently Workshop toys are a pretty bad currency at least for the time being, but wait until you have some more of them, Kit, and you can make the best trade in your life: "limited edition toys from haunted studio, only from me!"
Kit, as well as the Trading Tree itself, come from the cartoon "Craig of the Creek" (I drew Craig once), which is an extremely nice Cartoon Network production showing kids playing on the titular Creek. I love it for many things - firstly, it brings back sentimental memories from my own childhood, secondly, it is a wonderful cross-section of different types of kids and their behavior, thirdly - it shows small problems in a completely different light. Every parent should watch this series to understand things better. I especially love the episodes that alternately show what the kids see - and what is really happening (e.g. during the game "the floor is lava"). My objection is the same as against Bluey: that it is a bit unrealistic that all the kids always take part in the games and accept the sometimes problematic rules (e.g. when playing hide and seek or being trapped in a maze) - that no one will say "ok, I've had enough, I'm not playing with you anymore". But apart from that - a wonderfully presented world of imagination, actually a mini-community. This series was also "nominated" for the City entry for a while, but I decided that I wouldn't find anything else for the Contraband (plus wanted to draw Kit).
I really like the character of Kit. This little, enterprising girl is something of a higher instance of the creek - thanks to her, kids (for a small fee) can eat their favorite sweets or snacks without having to leave their playground and go to the store, she also sells toys and gadgets. I ship her with Craig - all the episodes of them working together confirm in my eyes what a wonderful couple they'll be when they become teenagers. I'm honestly counting on it, because of all the girls hanging around Craig, Kit is the one who best suits him in terms of character and common interests.
More observant people may also notice a guest from another cartoon, this time absolutely not for children - the demon Luci from "Disenchantment" - a series by the creators of Futurama aimed at adult viewers, a somewhat modern fairy tale, and partly a parody of many well-known stories. If someone is an adult and doesn't know it, I recommend it. A wonderful story with a very good ending to the whole plot. Luci, the personal demon of the main character, Princess Bean, is undoubtedly my favourite character. I love his physical two-dimensionality, to his absolutely non-one-dimensional character. I love his texts and the fact that in all his participation in Bean's adventures, he never forgets for a moment that he is a hellish being, and his "do it, do it" is always wonderful. In his original storyline, Luci was considered a "weird cat" by those around him, hence Kit's text (while he's actually just another of Bendy's "cousins" that the ink demon is wandering around with).
As for the technical side... it took a lot of time to colour, but was surprisingly fun. It was the first time in a long time that I shaded in such a strange way. Oh, it's worth noting that the colours of Bendy's clothes were entirely developed by my daughter, Ursa. Kudos to her! By the way, I wonder who Bendy stole these clothes from X"D
Finally, I will just mention that the Contraband theme was originally associated with "The Owl House" and Eda's stall, but I moved it to another place with a better idea. And that's why Craig landed here.
PS. I don't like Kopiko, but I'm not crazy about avoiding showing existing products in my drawings. But seriously, I didn't feel like changing the name, so here you have it, a covert advertisement for the hideous Kopiko coffee candies. You're welcome, Kopiko.

I obviously haven’t been very stoked about a lot of choices this first season—the opposite if I’m being honest—but when I first listened to the radio scene, it felt like a reprieve from those feelings. Norman’s performance is perfect. I could sense his urgency to get a hold of Carol, and of course once he does, his tone melts into something much softer, something we know he reserves only for her. I appreciate the long pauses he takes to study her voice. He hears something in her words that we don’t (🤨). He worries that maybe she’s not really okay.
Carol’s line “you never need to worry about me, Daryl” makes me think back to her “I love you too” in the series finale, or more specifically the weightlessness of it. Melissa said it was Carol’s way of taking care of Daryl. She wanted to make it easier for him to leave, and at first, I wondered if this time was supposed to represent more of the same. We understand why Daryl sounds excited because we have the privilege of reading his body language. Maybe when Carol hears it, she thinks he’s enjoying himself out there. Maybe she's reluctant to admit how much she misses him because she doesn't want to take him away from where he really belongs.
Here’s where I’m struggling though. Theoretically, Melissa would’ve had Norman’s footage to play off of while she recorded her side of the conversation. That's how it's typically done. We know both of them always play off each other brilliantly. We’ve seen it countless times. It’s why their chemistry works. It’s why we ship them. But in this scene, I'm not getting any of that. There’s no emotion behind the words, none of Melissa's nuances, and the more I listen to it, the more I realize it isn’t Melissa’s voice at all. It really pains me to say it, but it sounds like AI.
If that’s true, then you'll have to be patient with me while I take the time to fully process my feelings about it. After everything—booting Melissa from the show in the first place and then gaslighting her fans about it—AMC wants to use a copout loophole in Melissa's contract (what many actors have had in their contracts hence the need for a strike) to jeopardize Melissa's integrity, deny everybody what they've had to wait a long time for, Melissa, and cheapen what could've been the most impactful scene of the season? Are you fucking kidding me? That’s just lazy, manipulative, disrespectful, and infuriating.
I was really excited to analyze a new Caryl scene today. Believe it or not, I don't want to keep hating on the show. I want to enjoy my two favorite characters, but as others have said, I’m tired of bending over backwards to arrive at some—any—hopeful conclusion about Caryl’s future. It’s hard enough when the writing is as inconsistent as it has been, but now AI is involved? No one should have to exert energy on analyzing a performance that doesn't exist. It's a poor reflection of Melissa's talent and a huge disservice to Caryl's story. I'm heartbroken.
Good to see her trending though. She deserves all the love she's getting today.
On another note, because I don't want to make a separate post about it, I also watched the scene where Daryl gets mad at Laurent. **TRIGGER WARNING*** As someone who grew up in a very "loud" household and experienced PTSD from it, I wasn't put off by the anger. I understand Daryl wants to go home, and the kid ruined what seemed like his only chance. It's the name-calling and Daryl putting his hands on Laurent that specifically crossed the line for me. The show is clearly trying to force Daryl to draw comparisons between him and his dad, but this feels like something Daryl has already worked through on the flagship show. The moment he saw Carol flinch on the farm, he knew he wanted to be different. Carol and TF helped him be different. He is different. He doesn't need to prove that to himself or anyone else anymore. Enough of the character regressions.

Third of December || Steddie
Steve Harrington x Eddie Munson
Steve Harrington x OC (minor)
Summary:
Steve gave Eddie his sweater one cold December day. Then he gave it to Heather.
Inspired by the song Heather by Conan Gray!
Word count: 2.2 of pining and love confessions!
~~~
Eddie Munson has been called a lot of things.
Smart was not one of them.
Because if he was smart he would have confessed his true feelings a long time ago, or he wouldn’t have fallen in love at all.
He would have lived a single existence, the only friends being those in Hellfire or Corroded Coffin. Well, besides Steve of course. But he’s a different story. Different story, same problem.
You see, Eddie never intended to fall for the one popular boy but here he was. The freak falling in love with the former king of Hawkins High. That’s good enough to be a movie.
It’s the third of December. Hawkins has finally recovered from Vecna’s wrath and his name has been cleared. He was a free man, except for the cage he kept himself in.
Because with December came a much colder Hawkins, and with a colder Hawkins came Eddie’s refusal to dress properly for the inclement weather in favor of keeping his normal aesthetic, and with that comes the predicament Eddie Munson currently finds himself in.
Because this man can face high school three times. This man can witness his middle school friend be supernaturally murdered, then be framed for it. This man can survive Demobats. But he couldn’t survive his feelings and he sure as hell couldn’t survive Steve Harrington’s yellow sweater.
“Huh. Looks better on you than it does me, Munson.” Steve had told him with that smile like he doesn’t know what he’s doing to him.
If only Steve knew how much Eddie liked him.
Maybe then he wouldn’t openly check out their former classmate who wandered in to rent Pretty in Pink, and boy, did she look the part.
He couldn’t even fault Steve. She was a sight for sore eyes, her own brighter than the blue sky.
She’s got Steve mesmerized while Eddie dies just a little more inside.
Why would Steve ever kiss me? I'm not even half as pretty.
Eddie tries not to watch as they oggle each other.
Now Eddie has learned his lesson. He wears winter coats, gloves, and a God forsaken beanie on his head. He doesn't need to borrow anymore of Steve's sweaters, even if he secretly loved it and felt much warmer in the flimsy fabric smelling of Steve's cologne than he ever did in his own winter gear.
But because of this, he now suffers a different fate entirely.
You see, Steve gave her his sweater. It’s just polyester, but Eddie can tell by the way Steve’s eyes light up as she flits across the room in the oversized garment– he likes her better.
He watches as she stands, holding Steve's hand. As Steve puts his arm around her shoulder, Eddie can't help but feel colder.
I wish I was Heather.
But how could I hate her? She's such an angel. But then again, kinda wish she were dead.
Eddie distances himself from Steve after that. It's not healthy for him to pretend like he's fine only to shoot daggers at her when their backs are turned. He begins avoiding any group hangouts, knowing Steve will be present with her. At first he still attended, and looked forward to it. It was his opportunity to spend as much time with Steve as possible, using the excuse to get way too close to him. But then Steve started bringing her around and Eddie felt like an outcast yet again as they all fawned over how perfect she is.
At least he still had Hellfire Club. As friendly as Steve was, he still hadn't warmed up to the idea of playing any of Eddie's campaigns; and if any of the kids dared to break character to talk about Steve's new girlfriend, he pulled rank over them and quickly shut them up, allowing DND to be his safespace once more.
His heart aches as he hears the phone ringing, knowing it's got to be the very one he's avoiding. No one else was really close enough to be calling him, except for maybe Dustin.
“Hello?” His voice reflects his mood, down and unwilling to socialize. It wasn’t a Hellfire night, so there’s no reason for him to leave his and Uncle Wayne’s trailer.
“Eds! Hey, man. Wanted to see if you were up for a movie night?”
“Who all’s going to be there?” He already knows the answer.
“Oh, just…” He begins rattling off their mutual friends’ names. Usually Eddie tunes him out after the first name – Heather – but Eddie didn’t hear the trigger word yet.
“Um,” He starts, not wanting to remind him to invite his girlfriend if by some miracle he had forgotten, but Eddie didn’t want to go and get stuck there with her even more.
“Um?” Steve prompts when Eddie forgets to speak.
“Oh, um, is Heather going to be there?”
The line is silent and for a second Eddie has the irrational thought that Steve hung up on him for asking such a stupid question. Of course she’s going to be there.
“No, she’s not. I don’t think she’ll be around for any other movie nights either. Or any hangouts for that matter.”
Oh shit. Oh shit. Is she dead?
“Oh my God. Steve, what happened? I’m so sorry.” He rushes out, imagining metal wrapped around a tree or even worse– another entity from the Upside Down.
“Nothing happened, we just sorta broke up. It was pretty mutual. I don’t really wanna go into it right now, if that’s okay?”
Oh shit. Oh shit. He didn’t have to feel regret! She isn’t dead, so Eddie doesn’t have to feel bad about feeling so happy…
Who was he kidding? Of course he should feel bad. His good friend, and possible love of his life, is hurting and probably doesn’t want to be alone right now, hence the impromptu movie night with all of his friends.
Shame on him for being relieved at Steve being very freshly single.
“Oh, okay. Sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you or anything, Stevie. Yeah, I’ll be right over.”
“Great, thanks, Eddie. Can’t wait to see you.”
Steve can’t wait to see me.
Eddie’s heart picks up speed.
“I can’t wait to see you either.”
The movie of the night is Stand by Me, followed by Ferris Bueller’s Day Off for those who wanted to stick it out and hang out longer.
Only Dustin and Eddie wanted to stay, and understandably so. Their shared best friend was hurting, even if he wouldn’t admit it out loud.
When the movie was over and the three collectively realized it was indeed a weeknight which meant school for Dustin and Eddie –unfortunately he was held back yet another year thanks to the mess Vecna brought– and work for Steve. Eddie offered to give Dustin the ride home, allowing him to chuck his bike into the back of his van.
He watches in silence as Dustin forgeos his and Steve’s usual handshake, instead going in for a solid hug. Eddie follows suit as soon as Dustin clears out and takes his keys to wait in the van.
“You gonna be okay, Stevie?”
“Yeah, man. I’m good. Thanks for coming. It means a lot.” Eddie doesn’t miss the way Steve tries to maintain eye contact but fails miserably as his eyes look anywhere but Eddie’s.
“Of course. If you need anything please let me know. We can hangout again soon, yeah?”
“Yeah.” he agrees more cheerfully than he sounded just a moment ago.
He had kept a cheerful and joking attitude about him pretty much all night but Eddie saw it slip more than once when it was just the two of them in conversation.
They exchange one more smile before Eddie turns away to take the younger teen home.
He barely gets out of Dustin’s neighborhood before he’s racing back to Steve’s.
Despite breaking a few speed limits, the drive to Steve’s felt longer than usual, like Eddie was moving in slow motion.
He only got hurled back into the present when he stepped up to the grand door.
He takes a deep breath. Here goes nothing.
He knocks on the door quickly and without rhythm, only realizing how harshly he was banging on it when Steve yanks the door open with a bewildered expression.
He must think I’m a crazy person. Maybe I am.
“Eddie? What’s wrong? Are you okay? Jesus, I thought you were the cops. Is everything okay?” His eyes rake over his body, then peer behind him to check for imaginary threats.
“Why would I be the cops? I'm okay, I think, but I really need to talk to you.”
“Okay, um, come in.” Steve ushers him in and locks the door behind them. “Jeez, when you said hangout again soon I didn’t think you meant in thirty minutes!”
When Steve’s joke doesn’t land he switches back to his infamous protector mode. “Are you okay? You’re kind of scaring me.”
“I don’t know. I feel like I’ve made a horrible mistake– Wait, no. No. Not a mistake, just… I waited too long. My timing is terrible.
“Oh.” Steve rubs the back of his neck, “Um, okay, well no time better than the present, right?”
“Maybe. It completely depends on how you feel in about two minutes.”
“How I feel? Eds, come on. Talk to me.”
Eddie sighs and scrubs a hand down in frustration for himself. Just spit it out, Munson!
“It’s just– I completely misunderstood you. I was so stuck on the image I had of you. That you were just some guy–”
“I am just some guy.” He interjects, confusion clouding his voice.
“No. That’s not what I mean. I mean I thought you were just King Steve. Some womanizer-type guy. You’re not just some guy. You’re special. You’re one of a kind. I thought I hated you for so many reasons but I realized it’s not that at all.”
“Eds, we’ve had this talk before, remember?” He almost giggles at him and Eddie feels like he’s going to combust.
“Not this talk, Stevie. I’ve never had this talk and I doubt you have too.”
“And what talk is that?” Steve holds his breath.
“I thought I hated you because I thought I was jealous of you, but I realized it wasn’t that at all.” He takes a rasping breath as he steps closer to Steve who was staring into his dark, watery eyes. “I realized I don’t want to be you. I want to be with you.”
He takes one more step closer, their lips just a breath away.
“I realized I love you.”
Eddie is thoroughly surprised when Steve kisses him first. My God, were his lips soft.
Steve Harrington is kissing me. Oh my God! Steve is kissing me! Played on loop in his head for the whole duration. His lips tasted of root beer and cigarettes, Steve must’ve had one while Eddie was away.
“I’m so glad you feel this way too.” Steve breathes across his lips as he pulls away.
“Yeah, man. I’ve pretty much felt like this since we got roped into trying to save the world together, at least that’s when I realized my actual feelings about you.”
“Same. I was always just too scared to act on it.” Steve admits with a blush staining his cheeks and Eddie thinks he’s never looked more gorgeous.
“Well I’m glad you finally did. But, Stevie, I don’t want this to be some rebound for you or anything. So if you need time or space, we can pick up on this at a later date.” He offers sincerely.
Steve doesn’t hesitate to shake his head. “No way, we’ve waited long enough. You’re not a rebound. You could never be a rebound.”
“But you and Heather literally just broke up.” Eddie insists, “Her side of the bed isn’t even cold yet, Steve.”
Eddie tries to ignore how Steve flinches.
“You’re why we broke up, though, Eds. She knew I wasn’t perfectly straight, and I knew she wasn’t you. It would have never worked out even if we wanted it to. Plus she was a little homophobic and that’s not cool.”
“Ew. Glad she’s out of the picture then.”
“Me too.” Steve’s eyes sparkled as he very obviously looked back to Eddie’s lips, licking his own.
“Down boy.” Eddie jokes despite being just as eager to kiss Steve again, to do a lot more with Steve.
Steve huffs. “I just had my first gay kiss, let me live a little.”
Laughter bubbles out of Eddie and Steve follows suit.
“God, why did it take us so long to figure out our feelings?” Eddie questions as Steve goes in for a proper hug that Eddie happily responds to.
“Beats me. I’m just glad we finally did.”
Eddie pulls back just enough to make Steve look him in his eyes.
“Okay, serious question.”
“Yes?”
“Can I have your sweater back now?”
Steve shakes with the force of his laughter.
“You can have all of my sweaters, Eds.”
this is a long post talking about my ocs and my wip. feel free to skip!! i just want to get over my embarrassment of talking about them
ok so. to talk about my ocs first i need to talk about the world theyre in. this is still a nameless wip but for now im calling it 'through the mist' while i decide on a better name.
brief explanation about the world: its the modern world as we know, maybe a few years into the future, but its not very important because society and technology are still pretty much the same. the difference is that in this story, the earth was enveloped by a dark and mysterious mist that is invisible to most people. the origins of this mist is still unknown, but what is known is that: 1) it affects peoples health in the areas that the mist is the most dense, and the number of lung diseases and cancer has incresead ever since it appeared. 2) it has some type of dark magic to it. its essence creates demon-like creatures called spectrums (i still want to find a cooler name) that are unknown by most people, but they bring chaos to the world. you can read more about spectrums and understand them better here (please mind any grammar mistakes, it is still a rough draft!)
but there are special people in the world known as the Enlighted that not only can see the mist, but they are aware of the existence of the spectrums and are given special powers to fight them. most of these people are born like normal humans, and only when they grow up they start to realize that they are different and that theres something wrong in the world they live in. once they find out about their own powers, they are located by a institution called Lux Mundi, and they are recruited either to be a scientist and schollar that studies the mist and the spectrums, or to be a warrior and fight the spectrums.
there are three types of enlighted: the lumen (those who are born with paranormal abilities to help them fight the spectrums), the saltium (those who are born with advanced intellect and are able to understand the complexities behind the magic of the mist and the spectrums) and the granum (those who are both lumen and saltium at the same time. they are very rare.)
this is all you need to know to understand the ocs!! i wont say a lot abt their backstories here so to not make the post even longer but if you want to ask me anything about them, feel free!
btw all of these characters are brazilian and the story takes place in brazil bc well. im brazilian and it was easier this way.
also im not an artist so all i have are picrews 💔 sorry for the low quality of some pictures, for some reason tumblr wont show the album i have them saved in when i open the gallery so i had to screenshot.
1. Kaiki Vitorino, 17
she's our main girl! Kaiki was born Salvador, Bahia but moved to São Paulo with her mom when she was a kid. she and her mom were very close, but due to complications caused by a lung disease, she passed away three years prior to the story, and Kaiki had to move in with her aunt (who also lived in São Paulo). Kaiki is very kind and empathetic, she would never hurt a fly and puts other peoples feelings above her own (sometimes a little too much). she loves geology and has a cool rock collection. Kaiki is a lumen, and her powers are called 'Blessed be The Light', which is basically light manipulation. i won't dive in too deep about their powers here, but you can ask me if you want to!
2. Ayla Rodrigues, 17
Kaiki's best friend since childhood (and secretly love interest)! Ayla was born in São Paulo and met Kaiki in school. she has a very complicated family, which includes divorced parents and a dead younger sister, who died in a car accident with her dad when he was drunk driving. she doesn't speak to him anymore, and grief they dont know how to deal with has led her and her mom to a complicated relationship. Ayla is closed off, aloof and even arrogant to most people. When someone wins her heart however, she shows her more vulnerable side: she's a nerd, loves literature, music and cult movies, likes anime, and will do anything for her loved ones, especially Kaiki, who she is so in loved with is embarrassing. she is a lumen, and her powers are called 'Blesed be the Gravity', which is, you guessed! gravity manipulation.
3. Dandara Carvalho, 20
Born and raised at Lux Mundi, Dandara is the Head Trainer of the Lumen's division. Daughter of Eva Carvalho, supreme leader of Lux Mundi's instalations in Brazil, and Isaac Carvalho, Vice-Supreme and Head Counselour for the Saltium's division, Dara is the real deal: strong, disciplined, determined. she has been training since she was a kid, and her mom has always been very strict when it comes to this. Dara was trained by the old Head Trainer before her, an old man called Kaluanã. He was wise beyond this world, but after his passing at the old age of 80yo, Dara took over his functions. Eva wants Dara to be the next Supreme Leader, but all that she wants is to keep training and teaching other Lumens. They have a very strained relationship, but she gets along very well with her dad. Dara may seem intimidating, but she actually has a heart of gold: she's a dork who loves her friends to death and has a loud and weird laugh. she wont stand for injustice and is extremely reliable. shes also extremely, totally down bad for her girlfriend Yasmin. her powers are called 'Blessed be The Fire', but she also knows a lot of different martial arts.
4. Yasmin Senna
Yasmin may not be very impressive at first, but those who know her know that she is, in fact, a genius. Born and raised in São Paulo, Yasmin has always been the pride and joy of her family: as a kid, she was mostly quiet and kept to herself, didnt talk to other kids a lot and prefered to spend the day cracking her toys open to see how they worked. Her bad social skills and reclusion made her an easy target for bullying in elementary school – kids would take her toys away and mess with her all day long. this lead to a fatidic accident where one day she had a meltdown and unleashed her powers, 'Blessed be the Sound', a type of soundwave manipulation, and left everyone in the scene, including her, deaf. nowadays, yasmin uses hearing aids, but she has long ago gotten used to being deaf, and she doesnt mind her disability, but feels extremely guilt for the accident. she's the grandaughter of kaluanã, daras old mentor, but she had only know him as a kid before he moved to Lux Mundi. this is what made dara want to get closer to her at first, but then they feel in love. yasmin is extremely smart – in fact, she is a granum, but she refuses to use her powers, so she only works in the Saltium division.
5. Eric Senna, 19
Yasmin's twin brother, Eric is probably the only out of the Lux Squad that has decent social skills. He's charming, charismatic, funny, smart and has the world's biggest ego. Eric carries a lot of guilt over the bullying that happened with Yasmin, because he feels like he was too weak to protect his sister, so he has kind of become overprotective over her, even this kind of pisses Yasmin off (and Dandara too). he's one of those people that always act like they're the best, but deep down are their own worst enemy. he's talented, has a hundred different hobbies and speaks three languages. eric is always down for challenges and he loves to prank people. he has a cat and dog relationship with Dandara: they're always fighting and bickering, but they truly care for each other a lot. Eric is a lumen and extremely insecure about his powers – 'Blessed be the Thunder', electricity/lightining manipulation – because no matter how much he trains, his powers doesn't seem to get stronger.
These are the 5 main characters kf my wip! WOW ok this was. a lot. If someone has actually read untill now. thanks a lot, and let me know if you have any questions about anything in my wip or about my ocs! I love to talk about them!! :D
a list of alters in the 187 system
+ roles & other info - from my fic I've Been Having Revelations
chapter 1:
spencer | host - he/him - largely the same as canon spencer & relates the most with the body - has very limited communication with the others - is what some systems/people in the plural community call the "core," though he dislikes this label - loses time when dissociating (in this fic, spencer has osdd 1b which is unique for its "incomplete" dissociative amnesia. different alters in the 187 system retain memories while dissociating or not fronting differently)
alice | litte & caretaker (kinda) - she/her - introject of alice from alice in wonderland, though she doesn't identify with the character - almost always fronts after ghost (another alter in the system who was fronting at the beginning of the chapter. more information abt them later) and acts as a "buffer" between the trigger/trauma that made ghost front and the rest of the system - age slides between 7 (the age of alice from alice in wonderland) and 10 (the age the body was when she formed) - retains some memories & emotions while dissociating
alex | primary protector - they/them - one of the system's "newer" alters, most of the system became aware of alex's existence during their addiction - physically, they look pretty similar to spencer in season 2-3, but they don't relate to the body at all, especially their addiction - they refuse to call/consider themself an addict because they only have memories of actively trying to protect the system from their addiction and recover - was fronting during the "what if i started taking dilaudid again? would you've let me?" and "this is calm, and it's doctor" scenes - retains "all" memories while dissociating and few to no emotions
maddie | primary caretaker - she/her - one of the system's longest-existing alters - has the best communication with spencer and ofter relays messages and emotions between him and others - named after the madeleine from proust - constantly worried - loves kids - retains most memories and the "general vibe" of emotions while dissociated (though is disconnected from them)
chapter 2:
ezra | co-host - he/him - younger than spencer & the body, but looks similar (season 4 ish but with season 1-2 hair). has freckles. - a little more carefree then spencer, but can still be serious if the situation warrants it - has better communication with the system then spencer, but it's still limited - hates coffee but gets anxious without it (he's the one who puts ungodly amounts of sugar in their coffee and the rest of the system had to adjust) - looses time while dissociating
vic | gatekeeper - any pronouns - has arguably the strongest communication in the system, though it's closer to making an announcement rather then conversations - perpetually tired while fronting, never sleeps - has access to all of the system's memories and emotions, though is disconnected from most of them
riley | little, trauma holder - he/him - holds a lot of the system's childhood trauma - "introject" of riley jenkins, only in the sense that he formed after spencer's mom convinced him that riley wasn't real. doesn't relate to his source - the one who said "i don't want to be here anymore" in 4x7, memoriam - retains most emotions from memories while dissociating
ghost | trauma holder, protector - they/it/no pronouns - non-human. it is a ghost alter that fronts when their brain thinks they should be dead/feel close to death - doesn't have the system's eidetic memory - very limited short term memory & is mostly unaware of what's happening in the system/to the body when it's not fronting - appears mentally and physically around 10, but identifies as ageless - mostly non-verbal—speaks in short, "spacey" sentences - fragment/"incomplete" alter - largely only fronts after specific triggers
For some reason I haven’t been here for a very long time... And yes, good day. Happy New Year to you all! I wish you a great year and that everything goes well for you! Hope you had a good holiday!
I'LL TELL YOU IMMEDIATELY!
This is purely my personal opinion, you may not agree with it! I will be based on the canon, my views and attitude towards this ship. I’ll say right away that validity, overvaluation and canonicity are relative concepts, everyone has their own. I ship characters based on several criteria:
1. Relationships of characters (Mutual sympathy, friendship or supposed friendship (if the characters are not familiar). I don’t ship enemies and those who have unpleasant relationships)
2. Combination of characters' colors (For example, Saimatsu: Kaede - pink, Shuichi - blue)
3. My attitude towards one of the characters. That is, I will not ship my favorite character with my least favorite one
I'm also a fan of unusual ships, but there's a limit. Unusual ships are divided into 2 types:
1. Well-founded
2. It’s as if the characters were chosen by roulette, that is, very strange
Well... I think I've said everything, let's begin
First I will evaluate the popular ships with Toko. Namely Togafuka and Tokomaru
1. Togafuka (Toko/Byakuya)
Honestly, this is the most toxic ship I've ever seen.... Especially if you remember Byakuya's attitude towards Toko. He insulted her, wished her death, framed her at trial, and as a result, people idealize a disgusting attitude both towards a person and towards themselves (this is about Toko). I think Toko deserves a lot more treatment. Yes, he changed a little at the end of the 1st game, as well as in UDG and in the 2nd season of the anime, but this does not change his terrible attitude towards her
When I first joined the fandom, I was looking for some Toko ship that I would like. But at the moment I didn't know about the existence of Fukaguji, and I didn't like Tokomaru, so I had to watch Togafuka content :_
2. Tokomaru (Toko/Komaru)
For me, this ship is too overrated.... Even too much. People turned a blind eye to 2 facts that prevent this ship:
1. Toko’s attitude towards such a love line
Toko literally hates yaoi and yuri. Well, a person who hates this is unlikely to date a person of the same gender. Yes, Jack likes this genre, but that doesn't mean she likes girls. Moreover, this was not mentioned anywhere. And I don't understand people who say Toko is a lesbian. How can she be a lesbian if she likes Byakuya... In theory, she is definitely not a lesbian anymore
Okay, people don't pay attention to this fact, okay. But now let's move on to the next fact
2. Age difference
If you read the wiki, you can see that Komaru is 15 years old, and Toko, due to memory loss, is somewhere around 20-21. Well... As for me, this is a very unpleasant fact... Especially considering the fact that Komaru is underage. In Japan, adulthood begins at age 20.
I see their relationship as mentor and student. They are definitely friends, but nothing more
3. Chitoko (Toko/Chihiro)
To be honest, I don't know why they ship them. Most likely they are shipped because they are both shy and introverted, and also hide their real personalities (Toko has her split personality, and Chihiro has his true gender). I have nothing to say about this thorn, well, it’s supposed to be there and that’s all
4. Ishitoko (Toko/Kiyotaka)
Same situation as Chitoko. I don't know what to say about him. No idea why they ship them. I just don't care about this ship
5. Leotoko (Toko/Leon)
This ship is very strange to me. I don't understand why they ship them. Leon is loud and rude, while Toko is quiet and calm. I don't think she could date this type of guy. And besides, Leon shows sympathy for Sayaka, as far as I remember, but Toko is not at all like her. It is unlikely that he is attracted to girls of this type
6. Hagafuka (Toko/Yasuhiro)
The same situation as with Leokawa. I don’t even know what’s weirder, this ship or that one. They have a bad relationship, and I don't ship those who are at odds. And in general they look strange together
7. Naekawa (Toko/Makoto)
I am neutral about this ship. As I understand it, they are shipped because of the freetimes. Well, okay in principle, I don’t care about this ship
8. Rantoko (Toko/Rantaro)
THEY ARE SHIPPED?! Honestly, this is the first time I've seen this ship... I don't know what to say. I can't even imagine why they might be shippered...
9. Fukaguji (Toko/Korekiyo)
This is one of my favorite ships. For me it is very comfortable. Although they are from different parts, we can see their interactions in Danganronpa S. For example, when Toko and Korekiyo were having discussions with Angie on the topic of faith, and Korekiyo agreed with Toko. Or when Korekiyo talked to Genocide Jack about her behavior (I don’t remember what exactly they talked about, sorry :_)). I also really like the way he addresses her, which is "Little Lady". I think if they were in the same game they would be shipped. As for me, they have a lot in common, they have something to talk about. And they could help each other (For example, Toko would help Korekiyo write articles about his travels). I also like the combination of purple and green
10. Yamafuka (Toko/Hifumi)
For me this ship is on par with Togafuka. Very disgusting. I admit, Hifumi is one of my least favorite characters in the franchise. He is as repulsive as possible. Most likely they are shipped because they are both writers and vulgar. But they have completely different reasons for this behavior. Toko has it because of his bad experience, and Hifumi... Well... Because that's how he is. I don't like this ship
11. Owakawa (Toko/Mondo)
I have no idea how this ship appeared... Well, really. I do not know what to say. In general, it is difficult to imagine that Mondo fell in love. Especially in Toko
12. Fumaeda (Toko/Nagito)
Yes, there is such a ship. Most likely they are shipped due to interactions in UDG. But I don't see any love line in their relationship. It even smells toxic
13. Kuzukawa (Toko/Fyuhiko)
WHAT?! HOW?! THERE'S JUST NO COMMENTS HERE... They are from different parts. Fuyuhiko is harsh and swears a lot, while Toko is uptight. Plus he's a yakuza. I think Toko would be wary of him. And in general, Fuyuhiko has a mutual sympathy for Peko, sort of
14. Gokukawa (Toko/Gonta)
The same situation as with the previous ship.... Not a good fit at all
15. Fukanata (Toko/Hajime)
Most likely, this ship appeared due to the fact that they both have split personalities. A very strange reason for their shipping
Something like this. I won't rate ships with girls because I don't see the point in doing so because of Toko's attitude towards femslash
Oh... Something has boiled over me... I hope you didn’t find my point of view negative. That's all for me, I wish you all a good day!
Grey's Anatomy: Wedding Bell Blues/Happily Ever After (19x19/20)
Oh goodness. There are a lot of things about this that I really goddamn hate, but... plenty I loved, too!
Cons:
Jo and Link. Look, I'd honestly love to feel differently about this. It sucks to have a character like Link, who I used to greatly enjoy, turn into someone that I just don't want to spend time with anymore. I liked Jo and Alex, and I liked Amelia and Link. I have never once thought these two worked as a romance. And when they had their big love confession and kiss in the rain moment, I honestly felt nothing. Total numbness and boredom. Plus, Link seemed like such an insensitive jerk about Jo flirting with her patient, Sam. Just grow up and get over yourself, dude.
Simone and Lucas is great and I'll compliment the drama later, but I still think Trey should have... existed as a character more leading up to this point. It was such a non-choice, such an obvious conclusion. I would have liked a bit more wedding shenanigans, and a bit more of an understanding of who Trey is as a person, in order to enjoy this more fully.
Meredith and Nick... I knew I was going to be annoyed about it, and I was right. At least we see Meredith having her own goals and passions in Boston, but my god, that whole apology to Nick, and wanting to build something with him, was just so joyless and boring to me. I just don't think he's an interesting character, and I never, ever have.
For the most part, I am all for Bailey getting that award, but it did feel sort of weird from the outsider perspective, like... the people who are not personally friends with Richard Webber or Catherine Fox or Miranda Bailey have to be sitting there like... wait a minute. They just arranged this whole nice little surprise for their personal friend? The Catherine Fox award is named after Catherine Fox, a woman who is married to Miranda Bailey's long-time friend and mentor. I'm not saying she doesn't deserve this accolade, of course she does! I just couldn't help but think of the people who aren't in this clique, wondering how fair this really is.
It remains to be seen what will come of Teddy, but yikes, if they actually kill her just when she was starting to become vaguely tolerable to me (due to reduced interactions with Owen), I'll be pissed. So unnecessary, Grey's.
Also: sorry, but Richard maybe having another relapse and drinking again is just boring to me at this point. I feel like whenever they run out of things for Richard to do in the story, they either bring back Catherine's cancer, or they have him drink again. Enough already.
In the category of things I wish we could have seen, I was a little sad that we didn't get some sister time with Amelia, Meredith, and Maggie. Especially as a wrap-up on this season for Amelia, who has been undergoing these feelings of abandonment.
Pros:
Jo learning ASL, yay! She's simcoming, which basically means she's signing and speaking at the same time, meaning her grammar has some issues, but it's still so cool to see that on the show, and I hope it continues.
Despite my feelings of clique-i-ness with the whole Catherine Fox award thing, I did think it was enormously sweet and empowering that Bailey got the award for her work in training people on abortion care. This show has never been afraid to go political, and it was such a nice capstone to a season where Bailey had to suffer so much harassment and pain. I did think about Addison, though: surely the award should have been jointly granted to her as well, for the same reason? Meredith giving that speech, Ben showing up last minute to support his wife, Bailey's surprise about it all... very moving and sweet, indeed.
It could be a cool way to keep Meredith connected to the show with intermittent appearances, this idea of her new breakthrough in Alzheimer's research, something that flies in the face of all understanding in the field, including Derek's research. She's going to be off doing science things, trying to get funding and keep hold of her reputation as she shakes things up, and she can pop up once or twice a season to update us on the chaos of her life. I like this for her. Drama, but not drama we need to be constantly paying attention to. I can imagine her working hard and becoming even more of a legend, and taking care of her kids, and living her life.
Also, in the interest of being entirely fair, I will clock one moment of Nick that I did enjoy. When Meredith tells him that the guy he found at her house is the kids' tutor, who also happens to be gay, his response is a frankly adorable, childish, "really?" Which I thought was sweet. Glad that Meredith hadn't randomly started dating someone new so quickly after settling in Boston, although to be honest whoever else she might have picked would probably be more interesting than Nick! Sorry!
I was surprisingly cool with the way they did the Maggie/Winston thing? At first I was annoyed, like, great. They're just going to fall into bed together and perpetuate the confusion and pain? But then they talked at the award event, and they had this gentle conversation about the potential for their future. Should they get divorced? Is that the best thing for both of them? I like how earlier, when they were on the plane, Winston defended himself and Maggie to Amelia, saying that it wasn't either of their faults alone that their relationship had taken this turn. That's some nuanced understanding of the situation, and I enjoyed it.
The plane thing was kind of ridiculous, over the top turbulence making all the doctors fear for their lives momentarily. It's the kind of thing we know for a fact Grey's is willing to pull, but I didn't really think the plane was going to go down, not with so much else the episode was trying to grapple with. But I did begrudgingly kind of enjoy Amelia and Winston holding hands, that was a nice little beat. And Bailey gets MVP once again for knocking the drink out of Richard's hand.
Back at the hospital, we've got all sorts of stuff going on. I continue to be impressed by how much the new crop of characters and their drama appeals to me.
First you've got Yasuda and Helm, going on an adorable date to Simone's wedding, kissing and giggling and problem-solving together when the flowers don't arrive for the ceremony. I loved seeing how sweet they were together. I'm sure next season will bring them their fair share of drama, as Helm is now Yasuda's boss, but seeing Mika running at full capacity, having enough sleep to do her job well, and seeing Helm so happy at the successful start of this new romantic relationship, and new chance at her dream career, was such a balm! They're pretty fun.
Simone leaves Trey at the altar, of course. Literally she's already started walking down the aisle when she decides she can't go through with the wedding. That's pretty rough. We learn how much she's doing all of this because of her long-dead mother, and when she learns that her mom met her dad after being engaged to someone else, she realizes her intended husband isn't the man for her. She and Lucas immediately fall into bed together, he literally helps her out of her wedding dress, which is just the kind of juicy soap opera goodness we love to see on this show.
Of course, things go bad when Trey shows up after getting in a minor car accident, and punches Lucas in the face when he realizes that he was a factor in Simone leaving. Simone talks to him and says, basically, that regardless of Lucas, marrying Trey isn't what she wants. I liked that they addressed that what Simone did hurt people. Trey and his family, Lucas... they all got caught up in Simone's indecision and struggles. It's a rough move, doing what Simone did, but the alternative being marrying someone you don't want to be with is, of course, worse.
Blue was a serious highlight for me of this episode! First there was his utter bad-ass moment of helping save a kid, and then bridging the language barrier (the mother and son spoke Spanish), and stopping CPS from getting involved. It turns out that the little boy Enzo ingested drugs that were left behind by a prior visitor to the hotel, not given to him by his mother. And then after that, he has a much less bad-ass moment, where he intubates Max when she suddenly starts to code, specifically violating her DNR order. It ends up in a situation where it's too late to go back and un-do what he's done, so they keep her alive, and Jules, with her medical proxy, is now going to be in the position of making decisions for her. Luckily, Max wakes up and they explain that she had a temporary thing going on and that she won't have to keep being intubated. Basically, Blue did a bad thing, took a huge risk, and it did pay off... but Jules's anger is completely justified. And what Blue did was a serious violation of medical ethics.
This is the kind of twisty dilemma that we love to see. It gave me early Grey's vibes for sure, Blue reacting with too much emotional instinct, his feelings of tenderness towards Jules, his own feelings about his mother coming into play... and Jules hating him for his decision but also loving him for saving her favorite person. I'm very into seeing where this goes from here.
And then... oh my god. Despite how much I will be annoyed if they kill Teddy, I will admit the very end of this episode hyped me up in a way Grey's hasn't managed to do in a very long time. Sam, the patient who has been flirting with Jo, ends up suddenly in distress and rushed to the OR. Teddy is the only attending in the room, and along with Yasuda and Lucas, and they're getting ready to do a life-saving emergency surgery. When suddenly... Teddy collapses. She's been having tooth pain for a while, but that's been our only hint that something was wrong with her at all. Our other attendings are scattered to the winds: at Boston, or making out in rainy alleyways, or whatever. So as Yasuda drops to the ground and starts trying to tend to Teddy, Simone shows up and along with Lucas, the two of them try to save Sam on the table. Owen is fetched by someone, and runs into the operating room to see a patient bleeding out on the table, the floor drenched in blood, and his wife on the floor, entirely nonresponsive.
Drama! I don't like Owen, but even I'm not heartless enough not to feel for him as he collapses to the ground and tries to wake Teddy up. What the heck is going to happen from here? I was getting Schmitt flashbacks, seeing that patient on the table, an attending coming into the room to see what his students hath wrought in his absence, but like... what were they supposed to do? This is some juicy stuff, and I'm looking forward to seeing the aftermath of it all whenever we get back to this show. Given the writer's strike, we may have a longer wait time than usual, but that's not the writers' fault!
In all, these final two episodes were truly a mixed bag. I am so annoyed about Jo and Link. I still strongly dislike Nick. But the drama that I enjoyed most was the stuff with our younger crop of characters, and I think that bodes well for the show's longevity!
Fic Writer 20 Questions
Thank you for tagging me @h1myname1sv!
1.) How many works do you have on ao3?
104 (it's not all fics, a few are fanvids. I do have a lot more fics in Italian not posted on Ao3, though.)
2.) What’s your ao3 word count?
137,912
3.) What fandoms do you write for?
A lot, I'm very multifandom! My current obsession is Daredevil and it led me to write on many other marvel characters (Natasha and Clint, Peter), an historical fandom of mine is Detective Conan and I might write something for it soon—if I manage.
4.) What are your top five fics by kudos?
What am I looking at, Matt? A short piece I wrote for fun right after watching 1x08 of She-Hulk; I was hyped and so was half the fandom.
A marvelous october collects the stories I wrote for last year's writober (mixed up with flufftober prompts). It's mostly Daredevil and it has a few chapters I'm pretty happy with, but I branched a little with other marvel characters (Kate, Clint, Kamala, Peter, Layla).
Ideas live forever (let your voice be heard) I'm really happy this story is so high here. It's a one-shot for Barbie [spoilers ahead]. After the ending, it follows Barbara adapting to the changes brought by her new life and coming to terms with things that didn't change—namely, her lack of attraction to anyone. AroAce Barbie for the win!
Three times Daredevil isn't a lawyer plus one short and fun 3+1 fic with Matt being sassy as Daredevil and Frank deducing something about his lawyer. (Secret identity who? Matt doesn't know her)
Not my friend (who are you?) I wrote this one for the dde promptfest, it was fun! It's about Brett reaching some conclusions of his own during S3 about his favorite (?) vigilante.
5.) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I usually do! Don't often know how to answer so maybe it's just a 💜, but I appreciate the people who comment and I try to let them know.
6.) What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
That's a tough one. I'm all for angst, but I need happy endings. (Or, well, hopeful ones.) The angstiend ending (and fic) I've ever written was my OC's reaction to her best friend's death, I'm pretty sure (it doesn't exist on Ao3).
7.) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Now that's hard for the opposite reason, lol. I'll go with The joys and concerns of teaching magic bc it's more than slice of life/fluff for the sake of it, there is some trouble/action before the happy ending.
8.) Do you get hate on fics?
I don't think that's happened recently, no. I got hate for my ship back when I started, in 2013 in the Italian fandom, and it was awful, but I'm not 15 anymore and I think I'd react in a very different way now (I'd ignore them and keep writing whatever I want).
9.) Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Nope. I don't believe I'm capable of it LOL <- same prev!
10.) Do you write cross overs? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I've written a couple in the past. Craziest probably was Detective Conan/Yu-gi-oh!
11.) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know.
12.) Have you ever had a fic translated?
I don't think so.
13.) Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Yes, I have, and it was super-fun!
14.) What’s your all time favourite ship?
Heeeh. I'm a multishipper girl, and often I'm perfectly happy with my favorite ships being platonic as well as romantic, so... I don't know. One of my oldest OTPs is Shinichi/Shiho from Detective Conan, I'll go with them.
15.) What’s a WIP you’d like to finish, but doubt you ever will?
My original fantasy novel. I haven't touched it in 3 years and right now it feels pretty impossible, but I do hope to get to plot and write it properly one day.
16.) What are your writing strengths?
Introspection, I think. And conveying emotions to the reader.
16.) What are your writing weaknesses?
Action scenes make me cry and descriptions are a work in progress ;_;
17.) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Absolutely, if it makes sense for the fic! Playing with languages is fun.
18.) First fandom you wrote for?
Naruto!
19.) Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
This question is so mean. They're my children! Okay, I do have favorites—plural. If I reeeally have to choose, probably What's in a soul? I'm really happy with how it came out, in Italian and English both.
Here's a little story time about something that happened in the beginning of September 2022 and I'm still not completely over it cause I'm a spiteful little bitch!
So, I had this online friend that I was talking to for months, I'm pretty sure that some of you know who I'm talking about already by the date that I gave you, but of those of you who don't know, let's call her Emma.
Emma was a good friend of mine, we met through Tumblr and we started talking a lot on discord. She was very nice but also very sensitive and chronically online (although that last part I hadn't realized until after we had stopped talking). She had told me about herself, her life, her family, her trauma, and I had done the same. We were very close and we talked to each other about everything.
We got along pretty well and we only ever disagreed over opinions and ships on Atla. So nothing serious that could main a friendship, right? Wrong. Because as I said, Emma was chronically online and overly sensitive.
One day, like all the others, she posted something about her favourite character, (which wasn't really correct, but I said nothing) and someone disagreed with her, let's call that person Tom. While character x was one of Emma's favourites, Tom didn't like them a lot, and so they pointed out how the flaws of character x actually affect the subject Emma was talking about and Emma did not like it because, well, she's chronically online and a dickrider.
Now, Tom and I had talked before. We weren't as close as we were with Emma, but we had similar views on a lot of things and had interacted with each other's posts a lot of times. Emma did not like that I agreed with someone who disagreed with her, because she thinks she's the main character and she's overly sensitive so she thought that me having a different opinion on something meant that I wasn't a good friend to her?
So she blocked me.
She ghosted me on all social media without even doing as much as saying bye.
I tracked down a common friend we had, let's call that friend Olive, and I asked her if she could talk to Emma for me, because I didn't know what was going on, and since Emma was valuable to me I didn't want to lose our friendship over a reason I didn't even know.
Olive talked to Emma and found out that the reason Emma ghosted me was her conflict with Tom and the fact that in a past tent, I had agreed with Tom on a different subject. I apologized, even tho I hadn't done anything bad, and I decided to give Emma space. Unfortunately, Olive and I drifted apart as well (although she's an awesome person and never and never dud anything wrong).
Soon Emma left Tumblr and Discord and moved to Twitter, where she proceeded to say shit about me and my other friends.
I was obviously was pissed because you don't just use your friend to trauma dumb, then ghost them forever for a stupid reason and then shit talk them behind their back under a different name. That's just bullshit.
Even later, Emma left Twitter and returned to Tumblr, again under a different name, and decided she'd continue doing what she was doing and would simply ignore the existence of her past friends.
I was still upset with her, and I was still hurt by the fact that I never got closure so I decided to ruin it for her because as I said, I'm a spiteful little bitch. I made a second blog and I confronted her. I told her about how much what she did had hurt me and I made sure to mention that she's a trashy person and an even trashier friend.
And she left Tumblr again without even responding 💀
Now, I don't know where Emma is or what she's doing. I also don't care because at least this time I got my closure. I don't have any tender feelings for her anymore, I wouldn't want to talk to her again and I'm not hurt by the memory of her now. However, even tho it doesn't make me sad, I'm still not 100% over it, which is why I'm making this post. I'm still angry at her and if ever saw her. I don't think I'll even be not angry at her. I'm a formal believer of "you can move on without forgiving or forgetting" so I'll probably die upset, which doesn't sound bad tbh.
I don't talk with Olive anymore and my relationship with Tom is the same as it was. I'm glad that my bond with Tom wasn't affected by Emma's bs. He was a better person and blogger than she was either way. I still talk with all the other friends I had back then, and I've made some new ones and every single one of them is better than Emma could ever dream of being.
I actually started talking with one of Emma's "enemies" XD. Emma used to trashtalk that girl 24/7 and was calling her lesbophobic, which made me, a lesbian, want to keep my distance, but after Emma left, I started talking to that girl and realized that she is not, in fact, lesbophobic and she's quite pleasant to talk to.
So if I were to come to a conclusion that would be that sometimes you might interact with shitty people and if you're lucky, at some point they'll walk out of your life and you might be sad when that happens but in the future you're life will be better without them.
Rot in hell Emma 😊
Played Alone in the Dark (2024).
Gameplay wasn't bad, graphics were slightly glitchy for me, but on God, they needed to develop this story more.
The Dark Man and the cult thing just didn't mesh very well in terms of story.
I played Emily first, and when Edward was telling her about his investigation into the cult, I thought "Oh, okay, cool- Emily's story centers around the Dark Man because it's ties in with her uncle, but Edward's will be more focused on figuring out the cult."
Except both of their stories center on the Dark Man.
If I recall correctly there's an implication that the cult is using Jeremy Hartwood for something, but nothing really comes of it. The cult just kind of gets pushed into the background (and into in-game documents) while the Dark Man is front and center.
This game is very similar to the Resident Evil 2 remake (which is ironic because the first Alone in the Dark was inspiration for Resident Evil) and if you've played that game, you know that while Claire and Leon explore a lot of the same levels and deal with the same enemies, they also explore other locations because their stories take slightly different paths.
The only time that I recall Emily and Edward's locations diverging is when they're going into their kind of Personal Demons- which, I should also mention, was another aspect not very well fleshed-out in this game. Emily goes to a WWI trench, and Edward goes to a few different locales in his memories.
I really wish the game had done that differently. I wish that Emily had been focused on the Dark Man, and Edward's thing had been the cult. I also wish the devs had done more to clearly connect Jeremy, the Dark Man, and the cult.
The other thing that bugged me was like... They're not on the same page. Depending on who you're playing as, the other MC will act like you're crazy if you start bringing up monsters. I don't know if it's that the devs couldn't figure out a way to realistically separate Edward and Emily without one of them dealing with the supernatural and the other just having a really weird night at Derceto, but it didn't really help the already non-existent chemistry between these two characters.
Edward's backstory was somewhat better developed, in the sense that they dropped hints that he knew Grace pre-game.
Emily's was just... Clunky. She knows Lottie and Baptiste (I might be misremembering their names), but they know her by her husband's name, except that she doesn't want to be known by it anymore, so where do they know her from and in what capacity, then later we find out she's a governess, then when the game's nearly over we find out about her husband.
They could have done more to lay some groundwork about Emily's past with her husband, maybe drop a few more hints that she's been to Derceto before for reasons unrelated to her uncle. Overall I feel like she and Edward (again, Edward to a lesser extent) and their backgrounds were not built up as smoothly as they could have been. Their backstories largely seem like afterthoughts that suddenly become relevant towards the end of the game.
Again, I liked the game itself well enough- mechanics were good, I enjoyed hunting for the little items whose names I can't remember (langnipipes?), I thought the enemies were interesting in design. But they really should have spent some time smoothing out the story and making it more coherent, especially the main characters.
Okay I've had enough of this bullshit
Just know I'm not angry towards you @yelldeadcellvrremix
But rather really angry that this simplistic and very reductive take has been around for more than a decade now and it absolutely does nothing but peddle one narrative and zero nuance in the fandom
I would also like to say I love all the women characters, including the villains of this franchise. I did want to talk about them too, particularly Lilith but I feel like she really needs an entirely different post about monstrosity and how we all still generally could not "monstrify" female characters, and in all aspects of it.
I would say, Lilith had to exist to create discomfort, for Dimitrescu to even exist, and be devolved into nothing as fanservice. But... We're all not ready for that conversation now are we....
Lastly I fully can't criticize the mainline continuity because of the simple fact it's one of the most convoluted and messed up in terms of continuity and consistency. They will come up for comparisons and for arguments' sake. But they're never the focal point.
But you would be right how much awful the women were written so far, especially its only other returning 2 leads.
But anyway, I'll be mostly arguing for Kat in DmC Devil May Cry. So...
This is probably a Kat Appreciation Post.
If we're just talking about her, then need I remind you the final chapter has Dante literally defending her about what she has done for the twins from the beginning of the game's events, and up to their siege on Mundus' tower.
And in most of the situations she does show up, it's very clear what Kat can do and can't do within the context. Even if we argue how she was presented, Kat's companionship literally changes Dante and ends hers with Vergil, which has a LOT of baggage from the very beginning of their relationship anyway, at the end of the story.
If you're going to say "she never has a gun, she never fights, she never stands up for anyone, she's helpless" then let me ask you:
Why does lethality, aggressiveness and being "cool" the only thing that would matter about a female character and for her to be taken seriously?
When this happened, Lady, Trish and Lucia from the games all have weaponry and yet their importance literally diminished on the sequels they've shown up (and you know what, I feel sorrier for Lucia... But at the same time at least she doesn't get the same fanservice-only treatment that happened in DMC 5)
And hell there's already problems in their debut alone. (I'm looking at you Trish)
I'm not against Badass Women tropes. But the constant problem it has is that they're always the 2nd lead.
There had only been a handful of times a Badass Woman was a lead in general. But most suffer, if I remember correctly, the Trinity Character Problem.
Yes it's named after Trinity, the Badass Female Character of the Matrix. And she's the 2nd lead: badass, yet only serves for the male lead.
I can't find the right article anymore but I know for a fact this was touched upon by The Take in Tough Girl tropes video on YouTube... I hate how Google has become..
The only other 2 who are close to Kat in comparison are Kyrie and Nico. Lady was brought up a lot by fandom to this as direct comparisons and only because of their father issues, yet they never bother comparing her to Kyrie, who equally does have issues with her family, and Nico, who is now also another female character with father issues.
Kyrie's selflessness is unfortunately represented as the Pure Woman and Damsel In Distress tropes, and in most of Capcom's writers that comes off as vulnerable and in need of a male to rescue her and protect her.
The thing is, Kyrie IS strong. And she IS significant. Her selflessness is her strength. Her perspective about Fortuna could've been more invaluable especially in-game.
But unfortunately.... This is mainline Devil May Cry.
It is never going to be about ordinary human people doing something extraordinary. The only extraordinary thing Kyrie can do is, unfortunately, directed towards her designated male lover.
It isn't inherently a bad thing. But Kyrie is simply identified FOR Nero's character arc. And never even for hers.
The irony is that Dante here has a very moving speech against that macho monocled mad scientist dude (forgot his name) about the nature of humanity, and how it's to be admired.
But with all that talk I have yet to feel convinced if Capcom even believes what they just wrote for Dante.
Nico seems to have been the spunky extroverted response against Kat. She's literally Kat but spunkier, more outgoing. And if I may say so.... She's the female inverse of reboot Dante.
She smokes (something Dante in reboot was refused to be given as one of his own quirk, because haters couldn't separate him from their beloved non-smoking mainline version, and hypocritically keeps separating him as someone "not their Dante"🙄 ), she's ornery, reckless, she wears her entire mouth on her sleeves and midriff, and quite proud of her heritage.
But she's also another female character in service for the male characters. And definitely for the audience in a more subtle appearance...
The writers have managed to mask the fact Nico could just as go through the same brutality Kat endured with the whole Rule of Cool AND also just avoiding discomforting tropes completely.
But even when Nico was giving her speech about how she is proud about her craft and about her grandmother, I'm not as moved. I'm glad she stands for who she is, but she falls for the same cliches of DMC 5: it is all Rule Of Cool and no true deeper vulnerability.
As nice and entertaining Nico is, I feel less compelled about her character than the quiet strength Kat has. This is my opinion and my very cynical observation of Capcom writing Nico.
I may be wrong about how there's no deeper narrative here, because I believe a lot of that meatier plot details are in the novels and manga. I would really hope so as Visions of V exist. But none could even exist on the games, the star of their franchise.
Unlike Kyrie and Nico, Kat is actually OUTSIDE doing dangerous acts to help bridge levels for Dante.
She plays both the pros and cons of literally playing the background character: on the one hand Ninja Theory figured out a clever way to include her as someone playing the shadows of Limbo City itself.
She helps change the landscape and creates pathways for Dante. She juggles both technical gimmick and narrative role she can fill in.
On the other hand....well she's mostly in the background. Well, it's obvious who the star is in this game's story, so even Vergil isn't given much of the limelight.
(But he has a plot device, and yes we can see it's contrived, but Vergil has to stay hidden as their trump card. Mundus and most of the demons don't know he's also a Son of Sparda.)
Kat's role in helping change the levels is part of the platforming gimmick Ninja Theory has to offer. But of course Kat is also in service to the male characters.
But the biggest difference is that her story is completely the one inspiring the twins and pivotal to the central theme of the story: freedom. Her role, despite servicing the two male leads, is still a role that's entirely pivotal to the outcome of the game's story.
She had become a freedom fighter despite her not being a combatant. She risks her entire life again and again BECAUSE she believes the twins themselves are the key to changing the status quo. She rallies the two of them to get their shit together AND even has more than half the plan to siege Mundus' tower.
And that's a feat considering her introverted nature. With just the right words, she compels Dante and, to the obliviousness of Vergil, her believing in their cause isn't entirely to serve Vergil. That was Vergil's own flawed perspective about Kat.
Dante himself sums it best already:
"Without her we would have failed ten times over."
Yes, Kat was kidnapped and in a short while, she becomes Damsel In Distress. She is almost like in Kyrie's situation.
But Kat as a character subverts this trope: because unbeknownst to Mundus, Kat's supernatural abilities, although considered passive, is instrumental in how they were going to siege and navigate Mundus' Tower.
Even in her suffering Kat only thought to do something with what she has in her situation.
I'm not downplaying Kyrie's abduction compared to Kat's. All I'm saying is Kat still manages to subvert the whole "damsel in distress" situation with what she has, and the fact her situation is represented uncomfortably.
There's no romance, fly-into-the-sunset bs that frankly I'm still tired of seeing in media specifically if it's not earned.
I really appreciate that Ninja Theory wrote dark tones not just for stylization, but at the 3rd act of the game's story, there's an entire tonal shift as the dark tones are more serious. It's unbelievable the majority of these "fans" didn't understand that around this 3rd act, they're being taken seriously now.
Frankly, what a loss that they chose such an attitude and it haunts the fandom to this day, whether they admit it or not.
But anyway, Kat is very much heroic and for being there for Dante, as he was for her.
And okay I do actually want to talk about Eva, too, because even she is MORE significant than what a majority of you are so willing to see.
The only real problem is that Ninja Theory had compartmentalize in only telling Dante's story, in ONE game, in ONE chance that they will never have again.
The haters of this media have won before Ninja Theory could try again.
All I can say is that a lot of the people thinking Eva in DmC is a misogynistic portrayal all because the demons kept calling her "whore", is EXACTLY the trap you fell for.
The majority fell for the name calling of the demons, who hate her!
The demons who are LITERALLY hypocrites, are demonstrably very vile characters here in DmC: Devil May Cry.
And the lot of you chose to believe their name-calling on her!
So to me, I feel like the majority of the "fans" are just.... idiots. I'm sorry...
Like why would you believe a bunch of demons who would level themselves in being cruel, vile and sadistic, against an angel who's two crimes are:
1. Falling in love with a fellow turncoat, Sparda?
2...... Okay this is just fandom theory and I fully credit #fabdante for such an epic lore observation... But in the story both Heaven and Hell had been at war for a very long time now... And, according to Phineas, the Nephilim were not wanted at all, hence why they were g3nocided.... G3nocided by whom? By both Heaven and Hell. Both the demons AND the angels have killed all the Nephilim before Dante and Vergil's existence.... that means, Eva also has blood on her hands👀
the end
The mainline Devil May Cry games being misogynist in a "We respect women enough to create well-written female characters, but we don't respect them enough to use them again for anything beyond eye candy" way
Vs
DmC: Devil May Cry 2013 being misogynist in a "We don't respect women. At all. We're blatant as hell about this, so we aren't even gonna try to make them well-written" way
I enjoy both series by the way, and pretending to give respect is still as bad as giving no respect; I am simply making an observation here and I think we should be able to recognize the flaws in our media, no matter its objective quality
I once heard someone say that because Arknights' disability representation is mostly tied to their fantasy turbo-cancer, then it doesn't feel like real disabled representation, and I've been unable to get it out of my head, like a piece of popcorn stuck in my teeth. So, rather than doing my homework like I'm supposed to be, I want to talk about why I disagree and why I love Arknights' approach to disability.
So, for those who are unaware, Arknights has a shockingly high amount of disabled characters, and characters who are disabled in a lot of different ways, both caused by being Infected and just being disabled in the way that normal people are. Nightingale has chronic pain, Lemuen is the best sniper in Laterano while being in a wheelchair, Akafuyu is mostly blind, Eyja has severe hearing loss, Rosmontis has severe memory loss, Amiya has very severe PTSD, I could go on and on.
And of course there'd be a lot of operators with disabilities! Rhodes Island is a medical organization dedicated towards long-term care of terminally ill patients. Of course many of them would develop disabilities, and of course Rhodes would have the resources and facilities to help them. They even make notes of how to treat them in their medical files, like how Ejyafjalla's has a little guide on how to best have a conversation with her. It makes perfect sense, but I can't say a lot of games would think about it on that level.
And that why I like this game's approach to disability so much. A lot of video games just treat disability as "someone missing an arm" or "someone in a wheelchair because of Their Injuries From Combat. It's usually treated as an individual thing, just someone who got hurt, or who maybe has a frail constitution or whatever. But in Arknights, disability isn't simply treated as a character trait for individuals, but as part of the worldbuilding itself. The world is largely defined by Oripathy, this fatal degenerative disease with no cure. And the Infected are treated as second-class citizens, considered free labor that they don't have to treat ethically because they're dying anyway. The writers realized that this would cause severe disability, both real and fantastical, and worked it into the story and world.
This runs the other way, too! Arknights' worldbuilding follows a sort of social model of disability, in a way. There's a lot of fantasy stories that treat the inability to use magic as a sort of disability, but to Arknights, it's... not. Because Arts require specialized training, and so a lot of people just don't know how to use them, and might not even know they can't use Arts. So it's not treated as such, even though it is still a physical inability to perform things other people can.
But on the other end, Laterano's culture is based around the Sankta having empathic communication between each other. Mostima, as a fallen angel, can't use this telepathy anymore, and she speaks about how othering it feels sometimes, to be physically unable to engage with an important part of her culture. While it's not explicitly stated as a disability to the Lateran culture, I certainly feel like it's treated as one to some degree. Namely that it's explicitly contrasted with Fiametta's PTSD rendering her unwilling to empathize with the people around her, as opposed to Mostima's physical inability. It's the fantasy disability treated with the same weight as real world disability, because within the world of Terra, they're the same thing.
And of course there's just some of the more fucked up fantasy stuff like "On top of her existing narcolepsy, Ptilopsis was forced to become plural after she had to have part of her brain replaced with a computer that forces her to speak and think like a computer or else it causes her severe mental stress to the point of physical pain." Which uh. I don't know where that fits in the conversation but jesus christ someone hug that owl
Of course, its representation isn't always perfect. Just off the top of my head, Nightmare is a pretty rough stereotype, with the whole "Oripathy gave her multiple personality disorder with a violent personality trying to take control of her body!!" trope. And, of course, I'm sure other people have complaints with the representation of their disability in ways that I'm not aware of because I only have the perspective I have.
But... what I remember about this game's treatment of disability isn't when it fails. What I remember is reading Glaucus' module for the first time, the story of the first time she ever put on the mechanical exo-suit legs that allowed her to walk for the first time in her life. And I started bawling my fucking eyes out. I cried because, even though I don't know the specific feeling of walking for the first time in years, I know well what she felt. That feeling of liberation from something you secretly feared was just who you are now. Even though you know it won't be a perfect solution, the physically choking emotion that you're able to get a little closer to a normalcy you've always wanted. The feeling that right now, the only thing you can do is run like the wind.
#arknights#long post#critical analysis#just gonna tag all future essays as critical analysis so that i can find them in the future because i am proud of my writing in these#writing an extremely long essay in order to put off my creative writing homework may be the most on brand thing i've ever done
