You know what maybe I’m just tired and feeling the existential dread of growing up, but actually my small, petty hill to die on is that I don’t think I will ever forgive Disney for abandoning the fairies franchise. I cannot even properly express what those movies were to me as a kid. They very well may have been my first hyperfixation. But come on beyond the sentimental value, those movies:
Encouraged kids to take an interest in nature and be nice to plants and animals.
Depicted a (mostly female) friend group that spent virtually every scene they had together onscreen building each other up and supporting each other.
Featured a female lead who is essentially a mechanical engineer, and is not treated as any less magical or important for it than her friends who can magically make flowers grow or bend light (except for the first movie wherein her feeling less magical and important is the central conflict).
Gave said female lead a “love interest,” I say in quotations because while they are definitely implied to have romantic feelings for each other, he is never called anything other than her best friend and the two of them ending up together is never treated as an urgent priority. Their friendship is incredibly important to both of them, but no one acts like it’s a problem that they’re just friends for now.
Redeemed the mean girl pretty damn successfully (in my opinion), Vidia never apologizes for most of her actions onscreen, but she does realize when she’s gone too far and makes an effort to fix her mistakes, and from that point on she is integrated into the friend group who, as I mentioned before, spend 90% of their screen time uplifting each other.
In The Lost Treasure, let Tink’s temper have consequences, a good lesson for kids in not taking their friends for granted and treating them kindly, but also teaching respect for boundaries and personal space through Terrence’s end.
In Secret of the Wings, demonstrated that sometimes rules are there for safety reasons, but you can try to think of a creative solution to do what you want while still keeping things safe for everyone.
In Legend of the Neverbeast (admittedly not the greatest movie in the series), depicted the fairies having to say goodbye to an animal companion permanently, something most kids will probably experience at some point.
Inspired a banger of an online game and several banger songs.
And what has Disney done with this franchise they spent 7 years on (longer if you count the books)?
Allowed a massive decline in quality on the last movie made (Legend of the Neverbeast) and then acted shocked when it didn’t do as well as the previous ones.
Cancelled all fairy projects after that.
Shut down the game in 2013.
Made a bunch of the songs from the soundtracks seemingly disappear off the face of the earth.
I know it doesn’t make the top 100 shitty things Disney has done, probably not even the top 1000, but I am still extremely salty about it, even though it’s been almost 10 years.

The Secret Of The Wings is my second favourite
Tumblr media
and it's most likely for this, the bond between Tinkerbell and Periwinkle and i can actually relate to this because i have a(n) (older) sister myself, we don't always get along but i don't even want to think about losing a sister over something for whatever happens i mainly watch this movie for this but there are other things what i love about this movie Tinkerbell's curiosity about the winter woods, winter clothes on warmer fairies, Tinkerbell dealing with stuff (despite The Lost Treasure being my first favourite, Tink actually handled things better in THIS movie, especially when it involves Periwinkle, Tink isn't as angry like she used to in the earlier movies and she FACED the problems) the relationship between Queen Clarion and Lord Milori (speaking of that, there's a book coming out by next year based on them, i hope they makes a movie version from the book in the future) the relationship with Rosetta and Sled, it's like love at first sight for them both and i live for that unlike "The Lost Treasure" Tinkerbell's friends (except Terence unfortunately) appeared more, they were there to visit a doctor, at the Tinkers nook to work on a machine, when they saw Periwinkle, when they met her, when Periwinkle was in danger, when the sisters got confronted by Lord Milori, the snowmaking machine to push it away (except Fawn and Silvermist), when the freeze have started they got the animals to safety (except Vidia), when all the other winter fairies comes to help to save the pixie dust tree from the freeze, after the freeze was over when Tinkerbell broke her wing and got healed and last but not the least the epilogue scene (i did wished warmer fairies did something to save pixie hollow from freezing, NOT just the winter fairies) Fawn appeared slightly more then Tink's other friends like she appeared with a bunny and even appeared first before the others, when Tinkerbell helped Fawn with the animals and crossed in that same scene Fawn had to bring Tink to the doctor and last one when she watched closely along with the Tinker fairies and Queen Clarion how Periwinkle, Gliss and Spike tries to save the pixie dust tree on their own during the freeze i loved how Tinkerbell's friends was concerned for her (even a fairy who used not to care for Tinkerbell untill the human event have happened was very concerned for Tinkerbell and this is showed with the doctor scene, after helping Tinkerbell to bring Periwinkle back to the winter woods and when Tinkerbell broke her wing, this person took it the hardest from like everybody except Periwinkle who was even more upset about Tink's broken wing...you can guess which one i'm talking about) even Vidia appeared in this movie as a supporter character (knowing Disney or even outside Disney who have a habbit of using characters as a background character after having important role in certain previous movies or seasons) and she stayed in its further movies (even the final movie one but not like it used to like in some other movies) there are 2 minus and my main bother was Terence wasn't even there just when Tinkerbell needed him the most (and i blame Disney for this, he's literally one of Tink's best friends and i can imagine he takes it the hardest out of everybody when Tinkerbell broke her wing since he obviously have a crush on her, he's most likely the reason Tinkerbell stayed in pixie hollow TWICE so it's only fair to include him as a supporter character instead of using him as a background character) i don't understand why he got credited, he didn't had any single speaking roles, he appeared only 2 times, i really hated that, why not atleast help her with the snowmaking machine or something? or like help Tinkerbell to push the snowmaking machine away? like i understand he had work to do and stuff but he would've noticed the snow in pixie hollow, he's really excluded in this movie (if he can't be in the movie that much, atleast do something like they did in "The Great Fairy Rescue" with a few speaking roles atleast)
my another flaw on this movie are the winter fairies one and the minister of winter, if you watched the first movie you see Tinkerbell, Clank and Bobble flying to the winter woods when giving her a tour on pixie hollow and they had no troubles flying over there and the winter fairies were on the warmer side and they had no troubles there neither, what happened to that? nothing can beat "The Lost Treasure" movie but this movie is my next favourite, i think this is the highest rank in general along with "The Pirate Fairy" movie, most of the votes goes for these 2 movies and i can't blame them for ranking it higher

seth's new design!! wow!!
Tumblr media
SO YEAH this is the seth redesign i was talking about in my last post!!
basically i was like "hey.. so rapunzel's hair changed color in the end, right. and it got shorter. so what if we did the same with seth, except in his case it's getting longer". and. yeah, here i am.
i think it's good for my ocs to have redesigns actually! i want them to age and i want them to change!!
and yes. yes, i know that he looks so much like riku and arata. i know. i blamed myself for not being creative enough but then i was like "well. all of them have different personalities and backstories and arata is especially different from seth and riku". so. yeah👍 i just have my fav tropes and styles and aesthetics and obviously i try to include them in my oc designs as much as possible! my vidia boy is probably going to join this dark-haired boy gang hehe.. i will introduce him. one day. give me some time.
some design notes + bonus drawings under the cut!
seth's redesign notes:
as you have probably already noticed, his hair is getting longer. he doesn't really want to cut it and he actually wants to grow it out. he's not sure if he wants it to be as long as it was when he was a child, but.. we'll see. it's actually a huge deal for him because he was afraid of his hair getting longer and he tried to cut it as often as possible since luna claimed that she thinks seth looks better with long hair, so.. he's finally able to move on :)
it's not so noticeable here bc of the filter i used but seth still has purple highlights! they're just more subtle now.
what is not subtle at all, however, that he has even more piercings and tattoos everywhere now. he has some on his back and legs too, they're just not visible here.
the tattoo on his neck is actually supposed to look like a chameleon's tail.
he has a new choker too and surprisingly, it's more pastel compared to the rest of his outfit.
he decided that he's too cool for the nrc uniform, so now his uniform doesn't have that many similarities with it, he doesn't wear his jacket anymore and his shirt has shorter sleeves. the thingy on his vest is kinda supposed to be a reference to the dark mirror.
again, not that noticeable here, but seth is wearing new colored contacts and his eyes are actually supposed to look like a purple and pink sky full of lanterns. he's still refusing to wear his glasses more, haha.
his nails are hot pink most of the time and they look more bright compared to the rest of his design.
Y E S he's wearing matching rings with rollo >:3 i am so insane about this concept, STOP ME BEFORE I START RAMBLING ABOUT IT. i actually think seth would wear a matching accessory depending on who he's dating at the moment/in this universe/timeline. and since i'm in a very strong seth x rollo mood as always, i went with this one. but i'm sure i'll get to draw the rest of them in the future!
and now. just take these silly doodles bc i had this redesign opened on my tablet when i pulled for rollo and. he didn't come home (he will. he will i am dragging him as he's screaming for his life) and i was like. at first i was like "did he not like it :(" but then i came to the conclusion that this repressed catholic school boy just. needed a moment to process it.

CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW
Angelica Pickles is based on Angelica from Rugrats. She is a 25 year old human, mall employee, and uses she/her pronouns. She has no powers. Angelica is portrayed by Renee Rapp and she is taken.
CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE
It was all about the dumb babies. Though she was but a toddler, Angelica could clearly remember how she’d gone from being the center of attention to --- as she would put it --- chopped liver, practically overnight. After her cousin was born and her parents’ friends started having kids of their own, Angelica was no longer quite special enough to dote on. One could hardly blame her for the way that she turned out. Her mother was abrasive, her father was pretentious, and she was often dropped off at her aunt and uncle’s house so they simply didn’t have to deal with her. They worked long hours and as an only child, her only entertainment when she was home was herself and her dolls. All of the gifts in the world could not cure her loneliness. It only made her a spoiled brat while they showered her with toys rather than love and affection. Because the adults in her life failed her, she took pleasure in the fact that she could boss the babies around, all of the other kids looking up to her and following her blindly... until Susie came to town, and once again, Angelica was replaced. She was no longer the coolest, the wisest or the oldest and, unfortunately, she didn’t have much else to offer. As they grew older, she stopped bullying Tommy and the others quite so much. They were her only true friends, after all, and she couldn’t push them away --- but she still pushed them around, a little. There was still a jealousy that lingered when it came to them. Her mother was a confident feminist icon who expected her daughter to be the same, but it seemed like whatever she put her mind to, it wasn’t enough. She was into fashion, but Kimi was the one who got compliments on her weird outfits. She liked singing, but Susie won the talent shows. Dil had science shows, Lil had sport games, and all of the boys she liked were interested in different girls because they were nicer or funnier or other ridiculous reasons. She refused to say it, but just as much as when she was a child, Angelica felt like a disappointment. She was being overshadowed, and the worst part was this time it wasn’t just by the dumb babies, but every single person in town.
I HAD A FEELING SO PECULIAR
❀ Vidia Şahin: She knows what it’s like to be underappreciated, and she likes Vidia’s take no shit attitude. Even if the two butt heads more often than not, Angelica looks up to her. ❀ Parker Kokkinos: She’s been into him for awhile, but he doesn’t even seem to notice her, and it drives her crazy. She’s determined to catch his eye, but she doesn’t want to be the one to make a move, and she’s running out of ways to make it clear without spelling it out for him. ❀ Helen Parr: She’s met Helen enough times to know she’s a badass. The woman reminds her of her own mother, except she actually seems to like her kids, which leaves Angelica wondering where she went so wrong...
THAT THIS PAIN WOULD BE FOR EVERMORE

An overdue apology (Step dad au)
Hook desperately hoped Tink's friends wouldn't recognize him, Tink wanted to know more about her life back when she was a fairy and unfortunately that meant talking to her friends. He didn't mind her talking to them alone but for some reason she wanted him to go with her. He never wanted to shrink into nothing more than when all her friends at once looked at him either shocked, confused or angry.
"I was told you knew me?" Tink asked hesitantly. When they saw her they all swarmed Tink their expressions changing to pure joy at seeing their friend again. Well all of them except for Zarina who eyed Hook with suspicion. "So...may I go now?" Hook asked Tink, trying desperately to get away. "No I need you to translate, I have no idea what they're saying." Tink said and her friends from another life looked disappointed.
"Of course..." Hook sighed frustrated. "What did you do to them?" Tink asked bluntly sensing the tension. "Well...that's a list longer than the bible, but to give you an idea I did try to drown one of them." Hook said bracing himself for Tink's response. "James...Why the hell would you do that?" She asked like a true disappointed mother who already knew the answer.
Hook felt his soul snap in half as his love looked at him like he was the world's biggest moron. It was a look she had given him multiple times and he never got used to it. "Well that's a long story-" Hook started. "No no wouldn't wanna inconvenience you would we?" Tink sassed putting a hand on her hip.
Deciding to stop delaying the inevitable Hook took a deep breath and turned to the fairies visibly struggling. "I'm sorry." Hook said through gritted teeth. "Say that again, this time spit out your pride so you don't choke on it." Tink said glaring daggers at him. "I'm Sorry for all the horrible things I've done. I may not like most of you but you didn't deserve the multitude of murder attempts and stupid schemes I was being....a moron." He said much to the amusement of the fairies before him. It was worse knowing he deserved it.
Tink's expression softened a bit and she patted his back. "Proud of ya big guy." Tink said as Hook planted his face firmly in his hand embarrassed. "It's about time." Zarina said clearly not convinced he was on their side. "So he's a nice pirate now?" Silvermist asked excited.
"I still don't trust you but it was pretty funny watching you try to be sincere." Vidia said Smugly. Hook suddenly felt a familiar competitiveness brew up in him. They wanted him to be nice? He'd be the nicest damn person they ever met. He may not be seeking revenge anymore but he'd be damned if he was gonna fold to a few fairies. He was already accepted by the lost boys and even Peter pan! He'd show them how nice he could be! Tink suddenly felt as though something stupid was coming in the near future, unsure of what it is as she decided to just try and gather information about what happened.
Authors note: thanks for enjoying this odd series of one shot fanfics! It's not over yet or anything I just wanted to thank you guys. I plan on doing more in the future involving Neverland and maybe even bring Wendy in with time travel shenanigans.

I have a behind the scenes question! What made them drop most of the friends from the books, but keep Vidia? What were the reasons for Vidia's redesign, too?
Hm, I’m not sure if I know the exact reason for that. It’s never directly said and there is little information. But my idea is that the original plot of the first draft didn’t have an antagonist in it. I mean, it was supposed to have the pirates from Peter Pan, but the antagonist that carried the plot was more of the “disaster” of Tinker Bell destroying the ring of belief. In the reworked version, Tinker Bell’s destruction of spring is not the focus of the movie like how she destroyed “the ring”. The reworked version puts more emphasis on Tinker Bell’s character while I think the 2007 one was supposed to focus on the friend group as a whole (I suppose to market them all equally since the original draft was said to be more of a “ad” by some of the test screeners)   To make Tinker Bell the star of her own movie, I suppose that is what they were intending when they borrowed characters from Gail’s books (Vidia, Terrence) as well as In The Realm of Never Fairies (which were both cited as creative influences on the movie). Vidia is the foil character to Tinker Bell, and she was used to move the plot along in the movie (like thistle herding scene, lost things scene, etc)  Also I would like to note that Disney requested a mean fairy named Invidia to be added to Quest for the Egg, which Gail shortened to Vidia. She was Disney’s idea first, and they might have had free reign (no need to ask Gail to borrow for movie) over her compared to the others despite their end credits cameo. (yes really, @ranibell has more info on this)
I think the reason Vidia’s character design was reworked was that it didn’t fit within the 3D style they were going for, that or they found her design to be too “evil” / edgy for a “mean/bossy” fairy. They also changed wing styles all look the same as well, except for the Queen and Ministers - It probably saved money on animation. Also, Vidia’s personality in the movies is more sarcastic/apathetic than “sour”/”bitter” (as the book likes to describe her), and book Vidia always was known for using “petnames”  (darling, sweetheart) while movie Vidia did not say “sweetheart” as much as she did, and was usually using it just to tease Tinker Bell. She was slightly rewritten. Vidia in the movies is more “subtle” about her antagonism, and naive Tink believes a lot of what she says (like the thistle scene). In the books, Vidia wants everyone to think she’s nasty/mean, and insults people all the time.  Nobody (except Prilla)  likes her, and she’s a little lonely but is ok with that.  Vidia in the movies hates rejection, as she was so openly embarrassed for having to clean up the mess that she caused.  I would also say book Vidia is more daring and adventurous.
TLDR: Vidia was created to improve the Quest for Egg, but later found a home in the movies thanks to a a rewrite of the script. Her character design was simplified, and her sarcasm would become her new defining trait in this movie. She was no longer a sassy lone wolf who didn’t care for others’ approval. She lost some of her traits, but was still sarcastic and mean overall.

MY MOTHER, MY DAUGHTER // SELF-PARA
First, there was creation. The creation of new life from old, the clones. A mother reunited with her daughter: in the stories Colette would imagine as a child, these reunions were filled with tears and hugs. In reality, Colette was now far too old to believe in a happy ending.
The only thing she could do in the moment of her mother’s dying was to send her a gift. One last thing: a painkiller, the only thing she could manage to think of. It was more symbolic than anything, and really the note was the important part. She’d only allowed herself a few moments to agonize over what to write. There were many things and nothing to say.
In the end, her mother was a stranger. She always had been and, despite this second chance, despite the week they’d been given, she always would be. What she’d realized during it was that they had little in common, having been raised in completely different worlds and given different opportunities. She could say that she loved her mother now just as much as she’d always loved her, only that after her resurrection, that love had filled the container that was her mother’s shape and form, rather than the void inside of her where Apple should have been.
It was nice meeting you. It was the best thing she could think to say. Perhaps an I’m sorry would have been more apt, as she felt at fault, if not for Apple’s death itself than for failing to prevent it. But there was simply nothing she could do from the moment the boy from One approached her. To send down an arrow from the heavens to kill him would have her fired and ostracized at best, killed at worst; perhaps that was the price she’d have been happy to pay, had she been a better, more caring person. But she wasn’t that person. She was calculated. And the calculations didn’t add up. In the end, Colette Neptune’s own life and work were more important to her than the blood of the girl who would have been her mother, had she been able to live long enough to play the role.
* * *
Second, there was destruction.
She was safe but many were not. It was luck that she already had a bodyguard, that Harrington was able to get her out and somewhere safe. The death toll crept slowly up. Lysander Vultur was safe, she found him; Chip Foster could be hurt; Vidia Vickers was dead; a dozen Gamemakers, injured; two more, killed.
It was a dangerous occupation. She had known this acutely since the kidnapping, since Dollar’s death. But it didn’t matter. It was her job, and she would do it no matter what.
The night bled into morning; the attack ended and so did the Games. There was a Victor, a boy from Two. And messages were coming in, people checking in on her. She sent out messages confirming that she was alright and tried to avoid the news.
She didn’t want to deal with it right now. On top of Apple’s death, so recent, all of these deaths of her colleagues, people she had known, were too much.
One message came in, though, that stood out. A friend, someone who she had always worked closely with, alerting her that one of the dead was Livia Levine. She had been a young woman who worked mainly with muttations, but had been in the lab at the time of the attack. Colette didn’t know much about her except that she had come from District Three and had no family in the Capitol except for her young daughter.
* * *
Olympia Levine was born just a year before the attack on the lab, eight months after her mother had moved to the Capitol to accept an esteemed position as a Gamemaker. Livia loved animals and technology, always boring her roommates at the orphanage where she grew up with facts about mammals and reptiles long extinct. She was smart and excelled in most of her classes, and knew how to work her way up the ladder — all the way to the Capitol at the age of 23. She had never anticipated that when she left District Three, she was not traveling alone, but that her daughter was growing inside of her.
At the time of the attack, Olympia was at home with a babysitter watching over her, as she had been for the last few weeks during the Games. The girl sleeping in her crib was completely unaware of the attack, the explosion that killed her mother. She didn’t know who the social worker who arrived at her apartment in the morning was. She didn’t know about the calls and emails being sent, the Capitol orphanage that was prepared to take her — nicer than the one her mother had grown up in, but overcrowded and underfunded, even in the city that proclaimed to have it all. Parentless children were the least of anyone’s concerns, especially now, in the aftermath of a deadly attack by rebel forces.
* * *
Colette didn’t think much about it before doing it. She had agreed before she realized the gravity of what she was agreeing to, but in the following days and weeks she would understand that it was this very lack of hesitation that had saved her own life. The man who had raised her was a Gamemaker who saw a baby in trouble and rescued her; she did the same now, as the city sat back in the shock of the attack.
A daughter was no replacement for a mother, and Colette was no mother. But she brought Olympia home to her apartment the next day, and after the door closed, she looked into the baby’s eyes and realized what her father had realized so many years ago: I am a parent now.

Main 8: Have you ever heard of Winnie the Pooh? He’s a soft, cuddly yellow bear who loves to eat honey. Which one of Pooh’s friends are you most like? There’s Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Owl, Lumpy (a heffalump), and Kessie (a bluebird).
Tink:
"I don't think any of us had ever heard of him, but our author gave us a bit of information on him and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood, is it? I would think I am most like Tigger, he means well, but is really energetic and brash. He can get into trouble!"
Tumblr media
Fawn:
"I'm not really sure! I want to say Tigger too, but maybe Lumpy too? He sounds fun!"
Tumblr media
Silvermist:
"I'm not too familiar with these characters, but our author thinks that Kanga is most like me because she is very caring!"
Tumblr media
Rosetta:
"If I had to guess, I would say Rabbit! He seems like a pretty confident, uh, bunny!"
Tumblr media
Iridessa:
"Piglet! He worries alot, like me! I can't blame him!"
Tumblr media
Periwinkle:
"I thought about it, and I personally think I'm most like Lumpy. He seems really friendly like me!"
Tumblr media
Vidia:
"Yeah, I'm not too sure about comparing myself to a stuffed animal. Fine, it's Eeyore. Everyone else is so chirpy."
Tumblr media
Zarina:
"I really feel like none of them fit me really, except maybe Owl? He seems smart! Owls usually are!"

Thanks for the ask!

@lesbianjubilee i agree with you completely. the portrayal of tinkerbell in the disney fairies movies when she’s the protagonist is completely different from her iteration in the books by gail carson levine and even in the disney peter pan movie, in both of which she is short-tempered and mean. it’s been a long time since i read the books so bear with me, but when i first read them what struck me the most about them initially was that tinkerbell was not the main character. i think this was very clever of levine because it allowed tinkerbell to remain as she is in the animated movie without sacrificing a protagonist who is kind and more mild-tempered. also, tinkerbell not being the main character in the books set the stage for the story being more about pixie hollow and the different types of fairies and the interplay between neverand and the mainland rather than being all about one specific character who just so happens to live in this really well-developed, dynamic setting. by making tinkerbell the main character of the movies, not only did her character get completely changed to fit this disney mold of “dewey-eyed, sweet-tempered, optimistic but ultimately clueless young woman” but the movie suffered a lack of the intricate world-building the books provide because the plot was so centralized around trying to legitimize tinkerbell’s re-characterization that nothing else really happens except for her individual character arc.
i’m starting to ramble here but you can even see this problem in the choice to switch the core secondary fairies (fira, rani, beck, bess, and lily in the books) to characters who were only tertiary in the books (iridessa, silvermist, fawn, and rosetta in the movies). it has never sat right with me that this change was made, and now that i’m older i think it’s because even as a child i could recognize it as a way to make exploring the world of pixie hollow less interesting than legitimizing this new tinkerbell. in the books, the different fairies each have their own unique personalities and eventual individual subplots, serving as vehicles to take the reader to different parts of neverland and show the unique uses of each fairy talent. in the movie, as far as i can remember, the secondary fairies exist to show that there are different talents among fairies but first and foremost exist to give tinkerbell a posse of yes-men. the only secondary character that retains her status from the books is vidia, and that is only because she’s portrayed as the short-tempered, mean, cynical antagonist to tinkerbell. even there though i take issue with the portrayal of vidia in the movies as being simultaneously much more conniving and much less ruthless than she was in the books. where vidia commits serious crimes in the books against mother dove, in the movie her actions are reduced to being mean to tinkerbell just so tinkerbell can have an adversary to stand up to.
all of this to say, tinkerbell’s not the only element from the books that was watered down to make this movie a “disney brand” success. although i will acknowledge that i don’t think these movies are necessarily bad (the later ones have some interesting elements), altogether i think they are a heaping pile of disappointment to those of us who read and loved the books as children. it’s a problem endemic in disney films where the writing is afraid to take risks with the protagonist, especially in movies marketed towards young girls. off the top of my head, i cannot site you one female disney protagonist in recent memory who had a truly undeniably negative personality trait that got in her way. it’s weak writing, and children can recognize it. i recognized it when i was eleven, i recognized it when i was sixteen, and i recognize it now. the tinkerbell movies are the first memory i have of being disappointed by a film adaptation of a book series i loved, and it’s something i won’t forget any time soon.

[ TARON EGERTON, MALE, HE/HIM. ]    introducing ambruze zale, VICTOR of the 63rd year hunger games, representing district 4. my sources say that he is thirty years old, & that they’re pretty handy with discerning the potentially deadliest parts of his surroundings. wonder if that did him any good in the arena ? anyways, caesar says you can’t miss them, because he reminds everyone of a honey-sweet tenor voice crooning a love song, coils of smoke and steam, emerald eyes winking at the camera, the slightest twitch in an otherwise flawless smile after downing a few bottles of liquor.
what’s up!!! i’m thia, 19. I can’t wait to write with all of you. here’s my second intro. i hope y’all give bruzey here some plots, as well as my other muses @alunsei and @sylvener.
Ambruze, eldest child of four Zale siblings, was always a ray of sunshine; a picture of strength emotional and physical. Always smart, always reliable. He was just a young man who liked to bake District 4’s famous seaweed bread for his family. His parents taught him the tricks of fishing and the seas; he learned quickly. When he was chosen as a tribute, it was almost expected of him to take it in stride. And he did. He accepted the prospect of imminent death at nineteen with such dignity that no one would’ve dared to volunteer in his place.
In the 63rd Games, he was one of the most popular tributes. Attractive, cunning, and from a wealthier district, he struck even more gold when he fell for a girl from District 3. It happened organically, but damn if he wasn’t enjoying the thought of his survival chances increasing because of this too. He wanted both of them to emerge as Victors, the very first duo, with young love as their salvation. But his mentor and sponsors manipulated him, causing something in the nineteen-year-old’s psyche to snap. Eventually, he murdered everybody else in his Arena in one move that shocked Panem.
A SNIPPET OF A 63RD HUNGER GAMES RECAP.
The tributes were down to a half when Ambruze of District 4 and Valera of District 3 were caught in youthful romance. The pair were seen swapping advice about their districts’ respective specialties, among other things, with Ambruze learning about technology from her. The then-nineteen-year-old reportedly believed that their romance would allow them both to survive. His mentor dissuaded him from the idea as she sent sponsor’s gifts, culminating in an attached message that convinced the District 4 tribute that Valera was so clearly planning to betray him. In a shocking move, Ambruze disappeared just as the competition dwindled to six. He was soon found on top of a high mountain, aiming at the digital moon with his spearfishing gun until it became a new moon. The newly programmed tide flooded the arena, drowning all the remaining tributes, including Valera, who had been losing sleep over her concern for the missing young man.
PERSONALITY AND MISC.
He smiles all the time now. He does it primarily for his siblings, but also because he can’t bear remembering how utterly vicious he was in those final moments of the Games. He feels as though he’d been possessed and lost control of himself. He drowns his sorrows constantly. He doesn’t like people knowing there’s misery and trauma lurking beneath his picture-perfect exterior. The exception is Vidia Hart, his fiancée. (He will not let any of you forget she’s going to be his wife! He will not shut up about her!)
He tries his hardest to be a good mentor figure to tributes when he can. Not just from his own district, but to all of them. His mentor had been… well, effective, but traumatized him for life, so he wants to set a more humane example. He fails a lot, though, because seeing young innocents he’s grown to care for die year after year can’t be healthy for one’s mental state. Catch him just chugging as he smiles for the Capitol. One of these days, he’s going to join some rebellion. But for now, he’ll just make society a bit better in his quiet way.

JORDAN L. BELLEFONTE — ❝ i’m repping for the girls who taking over the world ❞
full name: Jordan Lisa Bellefonte
date of birth: March 29
zodiac sign: Aries
parents: Vidia Bellefonte
siblings: Alexander Bellefonte
sexuality: cautiously heterosexual
nicknames: Jords, J
face claim: Ashleigh Murray
personality.
+, ambitious, virtuoso, independent
-, impatient, guarded, competitive
background information.
jordan was born to lisa and asher jones, more or less loving parents who weren’t really ready for a child. they never had enough money, and spent too much of what they did have on alcohol, but they never neglected her. the family was a little messy, but mostly happy.
everything changed when jordan was eight. thanks to careless driving, she lost both parents at once and was orphaned. from there, she was placed in the foster system and was miserable. whether because it was truly horrible, or her anger and grief made it that way, she hated everything about it.
well, not everything. when she was ten, she met russell perez, who quickly became her closest (and only) friend. he made her smile - he made her happy - and he knew what it was like to be left behind. it was nice having a best friend who could understand her. except he left too, and then she was alone again. like she’d always been. like she’d always be.
or so she thought. vidia can’t remember why she started fostering kids anymore. maybe alex suggested it, or maybe she didn’t like the idea of kids being abandoned after her own shitty childhood. either way, it led to jordan being taken in at age 12 and eventually adopted by the bellefontes.
alex and vidia weren’t a super typical family - alex’s optimism seemed like it would be at odds with vidia’s sharp edges - but somehow jordan fit right in. she would say it was like fate or destiny, if she believed in that sort of thing.
life was good again, for a few years. she found friends, and a passion for song and dance. she worked hard and was looking to the future, when she ran into russell again. only now, he was remus rogers, and things were...different. jordan got upset about him leaving and yelled at him, and he yelled back, and every conversation they had only got worse from there. she was convinced he hated her. combine that with people starting to head off in different directions, potentially leaving her all over again, and her insecurities flared up bad.
things were rough for a time there, but she made it through. she and remus reconciled, she pulled herself together and stopped snapping at the people she cared about. now she’s living in new york and attending juliard to continue her singing. she’s done a few performances here or there, and is doing well overall, but something seems off. she isn’t entirely sure where she wants to go from here yet. she’ll figure it out though.

very basic timeline of spy au
saphael past
simon gets assigned job by luke and says his goodbye to the sh gang (minus magnus for now?)
he flies over to raphs location and introduces hmself. and they meet and such.
so then its just super lowkey. simon makes contact with base to let them know hes okay
then they have dinner my god already so romantic i hate them
but then raphael leaves to see his lil bro (hes engaged!!) and to cover someones shift at work
he returns back to see simon still working bc “im a night owl” and then falls asleep on simon
simon smiles and gently closes his laptop and goes to sleep too. he drapes a blanket over them first and sets an alarm for raphael
raphael wakes up in the morning and has such a cheesy smile on his face like wth
but he gets up and then makes breakfast for him + simon for when he wakes and leaves
simon wakes up and is like?? what happened?? but sees the food and is like! AWWW
anyways he goes about his day but also gets kinda bored and he isnt sure where the tv remote is so he starts watching on his laptop
raphael walks in to see a nerdy boy crying as he yells “GO GET HIM” at his screen and is like??
simon tells him to come over obv. and raphael just says no and angrily stalks upstairs
and simon is curious. so he goes upstairs and is like what happened
and raphael doesnt say shit bc hes still a stranger
so simon just brings his laptop and he sits next to raphael even tho hes still at a distance they watch some movie
and honestly its so nice. and once again they fall asleep on each other.
anyways this adorable thing keeps continuing until THE FRIENDS come over
and simon is like!! gotta impress them even tho he and raph arent dating yet
but his friends come over for dinner and are all sizing up simon like. is he good enough and who tf is so special they would make raphael smile
they decide they like him. very much.
more just getting to know each other until one day simon is like. i want a tour of the city gimme
so thats what they do bc its raphaels day off or w.e.
and theyre going around and being SUPER cheesy but its fine. its not like raphael cares
theyre getting to know other random facts about each other like fave __ bc simon points to things and is like!!!!!!
then. they find vidia and just cant leave
he sits down and is like. i’ll wait for the parent to come so the baby isnt all alone
and raphael is about to say that no one is going to come this baby was/is abandoned
but he doesnt have the heart so he sits down next to him
is ofc v good with babies. simon is not but its fine
but it gets to be night and no one came but simon is adamant. so they stay ALL FUCKING NIGHT WITH THIS BABY (except for one time when they left to get food)
and again. no one comes so theyre about to leave but then raphael says fuck it and they take the baby with them (they’ll real with the legal stuff later)
and ofc simon is still simon so hes like. we need to name her, and also put up posters JUST in case
they do that. but for naming they are very very argumentative.
raphael says the last name is rose bc they found a rose next to her and she has such a nice rosy face and simon agrees
simon wants to name her something disney related like vidia [bc he saw it recently and it was THE BEST]
raphael is like no?? lets name her something proper.
they still argue but decide to call her vidia SOMETHING rose
w.e. they continue and then it hits simon...soon hes gonna leave
and he realizes he doesnt wanna leave. not raphael or vidia
anyways they keep tiptoeing around this love thing they have
and they keep falling for each other as time goes on
eventually one night vidia is sleeping and theyre just watching some show
and theyre cuddling and raphael just leans down and kisses the top of his head
and simon...doesnt move away
he looks up sure. and they make eye contact and slowly come in closer...theres music playing from the show...their lips meet...
they start a relationship
nothing really changes they just...kiss more
and then raphael is like?? i gotta take you on a proper date FUCK
so they go clubbing bc simon insisted
simon gets rlly drunk and like. hooks up with some guy he thought was raphael but in the morning realizes HE WASNT FUCK
he tries to play it off tho and lie to raphael
“i woke up in a parkng lot” or smth but he lies
he doesnt tell about his hooking up no....someone else does
and raphael gets SO angry
not at the hooking up but the lie and betrayal
he doesnt talk to simon for weeks
they have this weird relationship where they work together for vdia but not together...
it makes simon go crazy and he almost leaves
but he also gets sick of it so he gets raphael to talk
and they kinda make things better. they arent the same but they amend it a bit
then!! they also gotta go to a wedding (raphaels lil bro)
and simon is a p r o he gets the job DONE
he kills valentine and has a dance with raphael so a+ work tbqh
he lets his orginzaiton know. but asks for one more week to stay bc raphael
but then he overhears raphael talking [to camille whos also at the wedding] and learns that raphael is an assassin
but he refuses to believe it. he also goes home tho and the car ride is super awk but he refuses to believe it. or talk about it
when he gets home raphael goes into the shower and simon just. cant let go of the feeling. he goes into raphaels room and goes digging
finds a file. on him
raphael walks in and is like?? the hell are you doing but simon is so angry
he yells he screams he throws things and then he picks up vidia from the little crib and runs. just runs and runs.
he finds a bus stop and gets on it still running. from raphael. from everything.
he makes contact with lydia who get shim to a house
the end
the beginning
simon and vidia are chilling
when like simon gets scared suddenly and orders her to upstairs
its too fuckng late and someone breaks open the door
someone being raphael
vidia gets knocked out and when she comes to shes so ???
and raphael is cryptic like hello child who is my daughter
and vidia is just. not taking it. and is jsut really confused
but then a bomb suddenly goes off and simon thrusts her towards raphael
and they run
she gets knocked out for like the second time that day
when she finally comes to again raphael is bandaging himself up
(she is already bandaged up)
she demands to be let go and is just. no she doesnt know this person she needs to go save her dad
and he gives like a hallow laugh and tells her that there is no saving her dad
hes gone most likely
but vidia is still held in disbelief and just doesnt believe any ofit
in fact she doesnt even know whATS happening and so very slowly he tells her
well about the spying and that he and his father had a disagreement
(he doesnt say shit about camille)
she still is just very adamant on leaving and doesnt believe it (refuses to) and so she still demands to be freed
he frees her and lets her go
she walks around bandaged and so confused/lost as to where she is
she meets a nice lookng girl and asks for directions
the girl offers to how her the way and walks along with her
she asks what vidia is doing all alone and very hesitantly vidia just says that she + her dad got hurt and separated
they walk and the girl says that yeah shes an orphan too and you know. gets more information out of vidia
they get to the house [remains of the house] and just. everything is a mess
and she sees raphael arrogantly standing and is s o angry
and is about to tell him off
but all he does is hand her a file where there are actual pics + documents
and just. a part of vidia knows its makes sense with all the closed doors and whispers
and raphael also gently remains her that he’ll let her keep running if thats what she wants but he’ll still be following her/watching her
and vidia is just. really tired but shes also really curious and she kinda agrees
they go to the hq [aka hotel dumort] and vidia gets her own private room and wanders around for a bit
she gets so lost because everything is so big but finallly finds like. the kitchen and remembers oh shit i gotta eat
she eats
soon enough guess who comes strolling in?? lita
and vidia is so caught off guard and also so annoyed?? LIKE WTH
lita smirks and takes an apple watching her
she briefly explains with a smrik that shes a con artist. she knows how to manipulate and vidia get sso angry its so funny
i need more plot points but basically they train her and she gets to know lita + raphael and she finds out more about her past. and about the other relatives that know about it and is just so !? and then she also goes around stealing and fighting corrupt and fighting her father

Disney did a great job on Vidia in these 2 movies
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i did a rank awhile back (last year i think?) on Vidia in each movies and i ranked her the highest in these 2 movies and i have my reasons why i rank her the highest in these 2 movies "The Great Fairy Rescue" really changed her like she showed her true colours after she was an antagonist in the first movie and being absence in "The Lost Treasure" most of the times turning into an protagonist in the third movie and everything came from herself (i feel like everybody showed their real personalities in this movie except Tinkerbell who already showed her true personalities in the previous movie along with Terence)
i still don't know what have changed Vidia but i love her change in the third movie, i already did from the very start when this movie came out like she wasn't so cruel like used to, she faced the problems and decided to get involved with the group, she was putting everything aside to protect and rescue Tinkerbell from the humans even if it means risking her own life by doing so...she literally went for it, she even changed her point of view on Tinkerbell and befriended her in this movie (i changed my point of view on Vidia in this movie after the first movie i said i didn't ever wanted her to appear untill "The Great Fairy Rescue" movie came out just to see she did the right thing for a change) i know she had a lot to work on herself but she's trying to change herself for the better my rank on her is the highest in this movie (her redemption was and still IS great in my opinion)
then "the pirate fairy" as my second best for Vidia, she's more like a likable character there and she's completely in the group since "The Secret Of The Wings" came out and it's very well showed even in "The Pirate Fairy" movie, she was still with the group most of the times and she worked with Tinkerbell more, even as a Tinker fairy herself, Vidia overreacted when she found out she's a Tinker fairy herself but she got over that quickly, she was more like the peacemaker from the group and there were a few occasions she infact sounded like the leader, she was the most usefull from the group in my opinion (coming from someone who have thought bad about that talent untill she became one herself...what a joke lol) she cares about the others more than she likes to admit, she again faced the problems, sure she was impatient a few times since she want things to be over with but i'm glad she sticks with the girls and works with them she's the second best in "The Pirate Fairy" next up for Vidia is "The Secret Of The Wings" she's also quite good there but i prefer "The Great Fairy Rescue" and "The Pirate Fairy" movie for her more (she have matured over the movies and character development but i don't rank the last movie higher than the fourth place for her) you can have opposite ranks, i doubt "The Lost Treasure" counts because she was almost never there (i do rank her on the fifth place simply because she almost never appeared and if she did she puts up her real smile so that leaves the first movie for Vidia to be on the LOWEST list out of the 6 movies and you can guess why)

“Just Another Typical Dinner”-simbar/lutteo oneshot
Based on the prompt: “Can you write a little fluffy/domestic scene of a dinner at the mansion a few days after the finale? Similar to the one we got just a little bit more simbar than Matteo? A bit of Monica trying to disturb them like in episode 56 wouldn’t hurt either 😊”. Also for that anon that asked for a fifty fifty Lutteo and Simbar oneshot.
I hope this is close to what you wanted!
Some days after Luna’s birthday party the Valentes, Alfredo and Matteo had gathered once again at the dinner table to share a nice meal together. There were three vacant seats, one was Pedro’s because he was at Delfi’s and the other two were for Simón and Ámbar, who arrived together some minutes later, the guitarist holding her from behind making it kinda hard for the girl to walk. When she pointed that out he proceeded to smother her cheek and neck with little kisses, making her giggle before pushing him away so she could take her seat.
Matteo whistled. “Look at you. Wasn’t there enough cuddling at your date? Or did you just forget all together the concept of ‘personal space’?”, he teased as both sat down on the table in front of him.
“Talk for yourself. Or isn’t that your arm wrapped around my best friend right now?”, retorted Simón, gesturing at the Italian that was hugging Luna by the waist, their chairs pretty much stuck together.
The alluded couple looked at each other and laughed happily before Matteo turned back to Simón. “Touché”.
Alfredo smiled warmly from his spot at the head of the table as he looked at the exchange. “It makes me so happy to see so much love in this house. It’s definitely what we deserved after all the hardships we went through this year, and I hope”, he said, raising his glass, “that we have many more moments like this”.
They all raised their glasses in toast and then started their meal.
It only took a minute for Miguel to notice that Simón was eating with his left hand. He wasn’t a leftie.
“Guys. Hands on the table where I can see them”, he called out, and with a smile that said “caught” Simón lifted his hand that was holding Ámbar’s, giving it a quick kiss before letting it go.
“All hands”, stressed Miguel, giving a pointed look at Matteo who finally let go of his girlfriend’s waist.
“So, Luna? Have you decided already what you’re gonna do after you graduate?”, asked Alfredo, starting conversation.
“Well, I know that I want to skate, that much will never change. Now, about careers I’m still not sure”.
“Why don’t you pursue a professional skater career like Ramiro? With your talent, charm, cuteness, shine and dedication I’m sure you’d get very far. Even Felipe Mendevilla made you a proposal already”, said Matteo, taking the opportunity to flirt with her. Everything was a chance to flirt with her, really.
She gave him her usual look of ‘you’re an idiot and I love you for it’ before speaking. “Thank you, Matteo, but remember that we’re a team. We are all talented, and together we’re gonna achieve great things, I’m certain of it”, she stated as she looked at Simón and Ámbar on the other side of the table, smiling at them before facing her grandfather. “But I like the idea of studying a career, I think I’d like to experience it”.
“And did you think already what you’d like to do?”, prompted the old man.
Luna looked a little nervous. “I mean, yeah, I thought about something. But it’s not definitive yet, alright? I just think it’d be fun”.
“And what is that, daughter?”, asked Miguel by her said.
The girl smiled.
 “A kindergarden teacher”.
Everyone’s eyebrows rose at the same time in surprise except Alfredo who smiled excitedly.
“A teacher? Really? I didn’t have you as the type who loves going to school”, joked Simón, knowing the girl would rather be in the Roller all day than in class.
“You’re not wrong”, laughed Luna, “But, I feel like is such a noble job, you know? To help form the next generation, help them discover what their dreams are and encourage them to fulfill them… Also, I really love kids, and because of kindergarten’s’ schedules I could work in the morning and skate in the afternoon”.
Everyone seemed to be understanding now why she would like to study that and decide it kinda made sense. Everyone except Matteo who was looking at her seriously.
“Mmm I think you’re gonna have a problem with that”.
Luna looked apprehensively at him. “What?”
He grimaced and patted her shoulder. “There’s a very high chance that they’ll mistake you for one of the children”.
It took one second and then the whole table erupted in laughter.
Luna yanked his hand off her shoulder. “Hey, I’m not that small!”
“Whatever stops your crying, love”, he said condescending, making the girl glare at him but he compensated her by wrapping his arm around her shoulder and kissing her cheek. “I promise to still love you when I’m two meters tall and you can’t reach me”.
Simón laughed. “I’m sorry to tell you friend but I don’t think that’s gonna happen”.
“Talk for yourself old man, I still got some years to grow so don’t rain on my parade”.
“I’m just one year older than you!”
“Well that’s one more year I have to grow that you don’t”, countered Matteo.
Ámbar placed her hand on Simón’s shoulder and sent Matteo a superior look. “You’re just jealous cause he’s taller than you”.
Simón automatically joined the tease. “Ooohh Matteo, that’s not right. Jealousy is bad for our friendship”, he said putting his hand over his heart. Luna laughed.
“For like one centimeter!”, exclaimed the Italian, outraged. “And I’m pretty sure it’s the hair! That hairdo of yours adds you like 10 centimeters, I’m certain of it”.
Ámbar rolled her eyes and took her hand away. “Ugh, don’t even get me started on that. The moment he rises from the bed in the morning he spends hours fixing his hair. He takes longer than I do, can you believe it?”, the blond declared, winning a confused look from Mónica.
“How do you know that?”
There was a general pause at the table.
Ámbar and Simón looked at each other quickly before turning to Mónica, both responding at the same time.
“I told her” -  “The cameras”.
Their eyes widened and they tried to answer again.
 “The cameras”– “He told me”
They looked at each other once more and chuckled nervously.
Ámbar was the one who finally spoke.
“Yeah, no, you see, I noticed that little fact thanks to the cameras that VIDIA had on their loft. You know, the ones that were streaming 24/7? You could watch them sleep and everything. So there. And then he told me too. Some time ago. A long time ago. Actually I don’t even know how I still remember”, she said, trying to salvage the situation but she had to admit that Emilia was right: she sucked at lying.
Mónica sent them a teasing look as everyone else exchanged quick glances, clearly not buying it but not wanting to dwell on the subject.
“So…”, started Matteo to break the silence and get back to safe conversational topics, “Gardener?”
Luna rolled her eyes. “Kindergarden. Teacher. When I was working as rink helper sometimes I’d teach some people the basics of skating and I enjoyed it pretty much. Maybe I could teach music! Teach little kids how to sing and how to dance…”
Simón made a thoughtful face at that.  “Hmm, now that you say so I think I’d also like doing that. Give guitar lessons to little kids or something. It’d be nice”.
Matteo gestured with his hand for him to stop.
“Simón, you’re not gonna have the time to be teaching anything because the moment the Roller Band takes off everything’s gonna be concerts, international tours, autograph signings, all the crowd screaming ‘SIMÓN I LOOVEE YOUUUUU. PEDRO YOU’RE THE BEEST’”, yelled the boy in a high-pitched voice, making everyone laugh.
“You’re right, you’re so right. How could I forget about my fans? I’m gonna have to devote myself entirely to them. With all the selfies left and right, the meet & greets, all the girls screaming my name…”
“Hey, watch it”, warned Ámbar and Simón smiled at her as he took her hand in his.
“I may have many fans, but I’ve only got one queen” he said looking into her eyes before kissing the back of her hand. “And she’s the prettiest of them all”.
The blonde chuckled blushing a little, while Matteo made a disgusted face at their cheesiness.
The voice of Alfredo erupted in the room with a laugh. “But young man, you’re not gonna be on tour you’re whole life! At some point you’re gonna have to settle down. See, I’m not getting any younger and I’d like to get to meet my great-grandchildren before I die”.
Miguel choke on his wine as the young couples on the table froze.
“God, Mr. Alfredo, you and your jokes”, chided Mónica as she patted her husband’s back.
“It is no joke. I’m not going to die without seeing this house full of joy and little kids running around”, said the old man as he grabbed his glass of wine. “But there’s no rush, of course”, he added before drinking.
“Absolutely no rush. Like, at all”, said Miguel once he recovered from his coughing.
After two seconds of silence Luna cleared her throat. “What about you, Ámbar? What are you gonna do now that you’re not in charge of the Roller anymore?”
“I think I’m gonna sign up for university as well”, said the blonde. “I didn’t before because with everything that was going on I didn’t have the peace of mind to study. But now that everything’s calmer I’d like to do it”.
Simón put his arm around her shoulders and held her in a comforting gesture. She had been through a lot and he knew it had taken its toll on her, but he was very proud of her for coming out stronger than before.
“And what are you gonna sign up for?”, asked Mónica from the other side of the table, curiously.
“Law”, she answered as she placed her hand over Simón’s on her shoulder.
The woman smiled widely. “Very nice! You sound sure, what drove you to it?”
“Well, it had been between my options for some time but, it was Ana who finally made me go for it”.
“Nina’s mom?”, asked Luna.
“Yeah. She was very sweet for offering to help me with everything at the Roller. Without her I don’t know how I’d have survived. And she didn’t only help me but all of us with the case. It made me think that I’d like to help other people too, like her”.
Simón looked at her completely mystified. If he had been proud before now he felt like his chest was so full it was gonna explode.
As the place filled with conversation over everything that had happened with the case and how grateful they all were with Ana for her help, Simón took the chance to inch closer to his girlfriend and whisper to her.
“I love you”.
The girl looked at him fondly. “I love you too”.
Just like that everything else disappeared and both leaned in for a sweet kiss.
“Get a room you two!” jested Matteo and the couple pulled apart with a laugh.
“Really Matteo? Still with the jealousy? Tell me truth, for how long have you been in love with me?”, asked Simón teasingly making Ámbar laugh at his side.
Luna gasped and brought her hands to her chest. “Oh my god chico fresa, you’re in love with my best friend? What am I to do now?”, she said dramatically as if it was a play.
“Don’t fear chica delivery, Luna and fresa are forever, it was written in the stars”, he spoke dramatically as well, his hands going up to the sky before coming down to cup her face.  “My heart is completely yours and I’ll kiss you a thousand times to prove it!”
He leaned to claim her lips in a kiss but it hardly lasted three seconds before Miguel grabbed him by the shoulder, pushing them apart.
“What if we eat instead? Everyone okay with that?”, said the man in a scolding voice, but he was smiling.
Everyone chuckled and went back to their plates. The rest of the meal went smoothly.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After dinner everyone went back to their rooms. Ámbar stayed a little longer helping Mónica put everything back into place and when she was gonna head to her bedroom Miguel called for her.
“Ámbar, could you come here for a second?”
The girl turned around and walked closer to the man.
“Yeah?”
Thinking back to the dinner he crossed his arms in front of his chest and spoke with authority, but nicely.
“New rules. No boys in your room unless the door is open”.
Ámbar raised her eyebrows by nodded either way.
“Sure, no problem”.
“Same thing with the boys bedrooms”, added the man rising one eyebrow.
“Of course”, she nodded affirmatively once again before re-starting her way upstairs.
She was in the middle climbing them when he spoke again.
“No getaways to the deposit either”.
Ámbar froze mid-step.
Two seconds passed before she turned around with a smile on her face.
“Okay”.
Miguel smiled back warmly, nodding his head before heading to the kitchen.
This time it was the blonde’s voice that called out to him, making him turn in her direction.
“Ah, these rules apply to Luna as well, right? You should tell her tomorrow. Or tonight”, the girl suggested before continuing her way to her bedroom, leaving a very stunned Miguel at the base of the stairs.
At the next morning he publicly suggested at breakfast that they used the Benson fortune to buy the boys an apartment to live in. Everyone gaped in shock.
Everyone except one blonde, who hid her smile behind her juice.

Can you believe it took me one day to write this but I’ve been trying to finish my other oneshot for a MONTH?
I hate myself.
Anyway, I hope this was good and fluffy enough  🌺

Meet VIDIA OMA. They are SEVENTY ONE years old and hail from OAHU, HI. Vidia embodies the star, CASTOR. They use she/her pronouns. Their faceclaim is JANEL PARRISH.
Castor reminds me of "green with”, a child’s desperate wish, complete silence, I want what I deserve, transformation magic, fate steps in and sees it through, the thick smell of incense, quiet contemplation, it’s finally my turn.
BIOGRAPHY
The Granters live cliffside in Hawaii, nearby the Mauna Loa volcano. Their retreat center is peaceful, humble, but beautiful. When Vidia was ten years old and received her star mark, she was dropped off on the doorstep of the Granter Sanctuary. She was stripped of all her possessions, her belongings, and her powers. While inside the training part of the sanctuary, the Granters must give up their magical powers for a total of ten years to become truly humble before they are granted their magic back. She doesn’t remember her life before the Granters, doesn’t remember her parents, and doesn’t know if she has a family who loves her.
When Vidia entered the training session of the Sanctuary, it was only to determine whether or not she would be able to mentally withstand the loss of everything-- food, other than bread and water, magic, pleasure, anything. She had to become completely numb and unbiased in order to grant wishes from an objective point of view. Vidia, at first, drank the Kool Aid, so to speak. She was wholly convinced that at the end of the day, she would be granted her powers back and then some. She wanted to grant everyone’s wishes and make everyone else happy. Everyone but herself.
Vidia didn’t think she needed much, after all. The Granters took vows of silence for the training periods, so the fact that she was able to converse with her fellow Wish-Granters was a gift. After ten years of not using her voice, the gift of conversation was something she never took for granted ever again. Hearing people’s opinions? Incredible. But what Vidia loved to hear most were wishes.
Sometimes they’d come in a whisper in the middle of the night when she couldn’t sleep, the tell-tale twinkling of a wind chime before she heard a precious mortal child’s voice, asking for a pony or for a best friend or for ten million puppies. Sometimes, Vidia had some kind of choice in the matter, sometimes she didn’t. Wishes are opportunities, she’d been told. You can’t just give everyone what they want all the time. But you can give them the chance to take what they want. So if a child wished for ten million puppies, she’d create a spell that would make a stray come across their path. A pony? Bring a traveling circus into town. A best friend? Magically have a new child move into that school.
The best part of the Granters Academy was the Crystalline, a basin that served as special portal in which you could see the effects of your wishes. Vidia loved going to see the Crystalline, and every time she would see the face on a wish she’d granted, she would feel more and more exhausted but couldn’t understand why. It felt good to help others, and Vidia didn’t need anything for herself. The more wishes she granted, the more tired she became, and it started reflecting in things such as her appearance, her personality, and her magic. Her hair became brittle and broke at the strands, she would grow irritated with conversation, her wishes wouldn’t be as creative or as kindhearted. She grew bored with the job.
She wasn’t supposed to go into the Grand Caster’s office for her weekly check-in until the Grand Caster was present, but she did. She wasn’t supposed to see the Grand Caster taking the Crystalline and drinking from its depths like a woman who was dying of thirst. She wasn’t supposed to see the Grand Caster’s hair suddenly grow long and dark, her wrinkled skin suddenly appear smooth, and her thin lips become full and plum again. But she did. And it changed everything.
Her entire world of benevolence, of selflessness, of doing kind acts for others was all for naught. While she was giving away her life force to grant wishes, the Grand Caster was using the energy bestowed in the Crystalline to keep herself young and beautiful. Vidia was wasting away for nothing, for someone else. Now, normally, Vidia would have been okay with this. She’d been taught to be selfless, taught to be humble and kind, taught to give up everything for someone else. But in this case, Vidia didn’t like anything. She didn’t like that she was being used. She didn’t like that she was being tapped without her consent. And she really didn’t like the fact that the Grand Caster was taking their magic for her personal gain, instead of for everyone’s personal game.
So Vidia didn’t end up going to that weekly check-in. She ran away and used a glamour to hide her appearance, taking refuge in an inn where she met someone whose magic was meant to help her. Someone who showed her that her beauty was meant to be extolled for the world to worship. Someone who showed her that life shouldn’t be about caring for others, it should be about caring for yourself.
Vidia and her companion found their way to Polaris, where she has fully transformed from her kind and humble self to someone who knows what she wants and takes it, no matter the cost. Her magic is limited in the sense that she cannot conjure things for herself, only for others. And she hates that. She hates that her entire life has been about others, looking out for others, and nobody is looking out for her.
So now, she does what she wants. She works a job at The Phoenix Feather and uses the money she earns to pay for things that she wants. She is a confessed materialist. She goes out for fancy dinners, to taste food she’s never had before. She decides that even though she wants things, having them is something a little different.
And there are still things that she wants, which she cannot have.
But she’ll get them.
Don’t worry.
INCLINATION
Castor appears to be one of the brightest stars in our galaxy, but is actually comprised of six individual stars. Castor aptly sponsors those who are gifted in magic, but Castor’s primary inclination lies in wish fulfillment. If a mortal wishes on a star in the sky, Castor is one of the first to hear and the first to attempt to grant the wish if it is in their ability to do so. Otherwise, they must consult with a witch who specializes in that sort of magic in order to get the wish fulfilled.
CONNECTIONS
Filling one of the roles of Duyen Huynh’s Seven Devils (Envy)
I Want You to Want Me: Vidia is now used to getting what she wants, when she wants it, except for when it comes to this person. For whatever reason, this person absolutely avoids her advances and isn’t falling at her feet, and Vidia absolutely hates it.
Thief in the Night: This is the person Vidia found in the inn who showed her what life could be. Vidia’s magic is pretty restrictive, it doesn’t work on herself and therefore she can only perform magic for others. This person tends to do Vidia’s dirty work for her, whether it’s a glamour spell, a potion, or anything else Vidia needs. She can pay them off with sex or she could have some kind of blackmail on them, whatever’s more fun.
Mutual Trauma: Another Granter, who knew Vidia before but doesn’t know Vidia after. This Granter also got out of the convent and has come to Polaris to learn magic the proper way.
