I feel like I’ve lost and found myself so many times, I wanna go through a timeline of all of my aesthetics..

2014: being myself, liking girly pop music and watched shows like pretty little liars, was feminine, and shy.

2015: grew into myself more, was more confident, was really into street style and hip-hop culture, took inspiration from Fergie and liked a lot of rappers like YG and Big Sean.

2016: I really got into old school 90s rap and alternative rap, I liked the psychedelics aesthetic, some old school rock as well, I feel like I lost myself here and was following the crowd when it came to my interests, I stopped being delicate and tried to be tough, also wanted to be rebellious .

2017: was a complete opposite of the prior year, I was more chill personality wise, I had a gypsy and bohemian aesthetic, I listened to reggae nonstop especially Bob Marley, but mood wise I was super sad.

2018: was a mess, I was totally disconnected from myself and didn’t realize it, my music taste wasn’t mine, my aesthetics were copied and not what genuinely felt good to me, wasn’t a good time.

2019: the year I really started reconnecting to myself, I began listening to the music I did in 2014 like Gwen Stefani and was connecting to my feminine side again, I liked girly things, I liked the diva aesthetic and also the soft girl aesthetic.

2020: I deeply fell in love with old Hollywood glamour, all the girls like Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Gene Tierney, Sophia Loren, and more; I would just binge watch these films and listen to vintage music, I started doing my makeup and hair vintage inspired, I learned about Dita Von Tease and fell in love with the glamour and the luxurious aesthetic, it was also a very hot pink inspired time and I listened to Sade on repeat.

2021: I was still in my vintage phase but it turned to being more inspired by vintage Europe because it felt more free spirited than American films did, I listened to a lot of Dalida and was really inspired by the femme fatale archetype in films, as a result became obsessed with jazz music especially Amy Winehouse, I partied a lot at a friends house and was always there, I started really exploring with cosmetics, was my super artsy experimental phase, color palette turned to baby pink, but mostly wore black.

2022: was my year of healing and on a mindful journey towards self discovery and authenticity, I felt lost again and wanted to find myself, began to be more modern aesthetic wise.

2023: I really began finding myself and took all the parts from each of my phases and combined them all in one, I don’t have to choose but instead accept all of these different parts of myself, I feel like I’ve really become me again, the Croatian girl who is artsy and so much more.

Current times (early 2024): I love the feminine aesthetic like the dollette and have so many parts that I love like the soft girl aesthetic, the clean girl aesthetic, bohemian, witch, mermaid, siren, sea nymph, Adriatic Sea, Balkan girl, vintage aesthetic, old Hollywood glamour, femme fatale, assassin, Mediterranean girl, coconut girl, Hawaii girl, princess, gypsy, angel aesthetic, and so much more; I realized I don’t have to choose one but all of these parts are represented in me.

2024: editing this to update, I am currently super into the futuristic aesthetic after watching The 100 series as well as rewatching Terra Nova. I’ve been listening to a lot of Tinashe, other r&b soul and hiphop singers as well as dance and pop. Style is cute, comfy, and simple. I love the celestial and cosmic aesthetic. Feeling more connected and integrated with nature. I am so focused on my studies as well.

Worst hits of the 90’s

This post is mandatory. What that means is there is nothing about it that is unnecessary, besides having to hear these goddamn songs again

Okay. This one. It takes you to 90’s hell right away and does it with absolutely no stops when you are about to shit your pants. It’s awful. The beginning is beyond pretentious, and the guy looks about to be any random bro you could meet at a knockoff LA party in Portland with only O’douls on tap. The chorus is awful, and I doubt he had any ability to do that atrocious vocal melody live. And the way he says Rock-a-by is more like the sound of a creepy old drunken man saying weird things to you when you want to walk alone in the city.

I only remember this song at horrible pits of my life I would likely otherwise not remember. Like traffic clogs on 290, or when your sewer backloads shit into your living space (for one entertaining reason or another) this one stinks. It gets in the carpet, it spills shit, and most people with a decently sane mind won’t play it, because it maybe contains the devil. Said to have inspired the hit biopic ‘The Ring’

So this one speaks for itself, and some asshole named Jason Waterfalls. If I ever met him, I’d likely kick him in the face for inspiring this song

Despite this song being about slicing grilled cheeses, there isn’t much to it. I confuse Papa Roach with Uncle Cracker often. I think they’re related, we all have bi-eclipse based grilled cheese parties where we pretend Gwen Stefani is our lost daughter, then I drown in invisible water………

Despite this being the primary inspiration behind Oppenheimer building the atomic bomb (he heard this in a future vision after being too close to an aftershock, and it compelled him to finish the bomb, so he could destroy this song before it ever existed). Needless to say he failed, and instead they made a movie about his love-life. Subsequently he builds Highway oasises to this day, and is a master at hiding S’barros.

This is another one. What is this song about…. Roosters? Some asshole who wakes up early excessively, to sing indecipherably about some fucking rooster. I don’t know if I feel worse for the bands or the truckers who likely brought this hit to stardom. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen someone proudly adorn the license plate ‘But Man’ and this was likely blasting out of their car’s orifaces. You should be ashamed of yourself

Gwen Stefani and her husband, country singer Blake Shelton, have been partners in life and work for several years, after meeting as coaches on The Voice in 2014. Now that he’s gearing up for his final season on the NBC singing-competition show, Stefani, 53, is also thinking about what’s next.

Right now, the Grammy Award-winning singer is preparing for her New Year’s Eve performances in Las Vegas; working on her makeup line, GXVE Beauty; and gardening with Mr. Shelton. “We can come together on that, because I love flowers so much and he has so much land out there,” she said of the couple’s home in Oklahoma, where they live with her children Kingston, 16; Zuma, 14; and Apollo, 8, when they aren’t in Los Angeles. “We’ll do fields of things. We’re just sitting there waiting for it to rain.”

Here, Stefani speaks to WSJ. about her favorite holiday tradition, why she’s been skipping her morning coffee and whether fans can expect a No Doubt reunion.

What time do you get up on Mondays, and what’s the first thing you do after waking up?

I usually wake up at 7 a.m., because I have the kids. They go to school, so it’s the whole, “Come on, let’s go! Let’s brush your teeth!” Nobody likes Monday morning.

Do you have a go-to breakfast?

I’ve been doing a cleanse, so I just wake up and have water and lemon, which has been horrifying. I don’t get to have my coffee until the middle of the day.

How are your routines different on days when you’re filming The Voice?

We get up, we have our [hair and makeup], which is always my favorite. When you shoot, you’re shooting like five days, and then you’re just dead at the end. It’s very emotional too, each phase of it.

Did you read the story about your fan who was pushed onto the subway tracks and survived? She said she owed her life to climbing onstage at your concerts.

It’s Maddie [Cole]. I know her and I follow her. In fact, I just saw her, right when we left The Drew Barrymore Show. She’s come to a million of my shows, she dresses like me. I don’t follow a ton of fans, but a few years ago when I was doing the Vegas show, I started following people randomly. Then you think you know them because you see them every day. She happens to be one of them.

The fact that that happened to her, I was like, “You need to move out of the city.”

What’s been the most surprising thing about launching your makeup line?

The community. Blake and I will lay in bed and watch the tutorials of people that would take a palette and see what they would create with it.

I’ve gotten to dabble in so many different things, whether it be songwriting or designing fashion with L.A.M.B. and then Harajuku. This is different because it’s starting a business—those were licenses. I’m just not a business person. I grew up barely making it through high school. Everything I’ve done has been so much luck. With this, I feel almost like I’m smart enough to be able to do this now.

Do you sing in the shower?

Not really. I try to take shorter showers these days. I’m more of a bath person.

Do you have Blake’s Sexiest Man Alive People cover framed at home?

We don’t. That’s a good idea. You know what we do have? When we built our house last year in Oklahoma, [in] one of the bathrooms going out to the pool is every single tabloid cover, made into wallpaper. You go in there and you’re like, “Oh, my God.” It’s pretty funny.

What are the odds of a No Doubt reunion?

What are the odds of anything? I was just on The Drew Barrymore Show. She was one of my favorite celebrities when I was a little girl, and now I was just on the show with her. Anything can happen. I have no idea what’s going to happen with No Doubt. We haven’t really talked about doing anything, but it feels like everyone is, right? All the ’90s people—Blink-182 did an eight-month tour that sold out in like five minutes.

Do you and your family have any favorite holiday traditions?

Blake likes to make new traditions every year. We do this thing called a timpano dome, which is an Italian dome, it’s kind of like a lasagna within a pizza. We’ve been doing that ever since I met him. It was in a famous movie [Big Night]. You can put anything in it.

So I've had a manky Gwen Stefani doll from various thrift hauls and I haven't done anything with cuz she's a strange doll but I finally decided to turn her into Kirstee from the Bratz TV show cuz why not. It's funny people want dolls of Burdine and the Tweevils cuz it's clear MGA really wanted kids to model their doll play in the style of the TV Show, and give Bratz fans a way to treat the Barbie dolls they got given by ignorant parents. I've been rewatching some stuff and it's clear how.... pointed the parody of the characters is, but with how Mattel has evolved it's made me nostalgic how fashion centric Barbie used to be. Anyway I went with this Gwen Stefani doll because the Tweevils in the show have more pronounced noses and slightly smaller heads than Bratz as well as slightly chunkier bodies. For the face up I used a limited colour palette as I wanted to emulate the mid 2000s doll paint of cheaper looking dolls and felt this sort of style would work. Can we talk about this ??? That is an amazing headcanon and it totally fits. He can't destroy public property anymore so what better way to let out his pent up rage than to learn the drums. But I raise your idea and add this:

Redmond would be his vocalist. He has a smart mouth he can't control and he's loud so screaming into a mic to accompany Spanx's crazy beat seems like something he'd love to do. They don't have a guitarist yet but they'd have a 2000's nu metal vibe but make it nightcore cause Red's voice is so high haha.

i'd love to hear you talk about makeup more so can i ask what products you're using in those pictures or what your go-to's are?

oh sure!! i’m gonna put this under a read more bc this is going to be long lmao

lets see where to begin. the eyeshadow primer i use every day is called angel eyes by a brand called luscious i think?? it’s partially rubbed off cause i’ve had it so long. i swear i’ve been using it for like a year and a half at least and it’s not gone yet. i got it in boxycharm and it’s probably the best shadow primer i’ve ever used. as for eyeshadow i have a truly alarming number of palettes. if i were to count them i would look like a clown. but my go-tos are abh modern renaissance, the ud x gwen stefani palette, and too faced sweet peach. if i don’t have time to experiment with my look and try something new i’ll go with one of those bc i know exactly the look i do with them every time. i use kvd tattoo liner in trooper EVERY time i do my makeup and my favorite pencil liner for the waterline is makeup forever aqua resist. i pretty much never change up my eyeliner. i don’t have a go-to mascara. i get boxycharm as a gift and they send mascara once in a while and i’ll try out whatever i get. i’ve been using the tarte big ego mascara for a while that i got in the box but i also recently got one from qveen studio called dragonlash which i really like for my lower lashes now.

i have used the same eyebrow products for years because it works and i don’t want to change. i don’t have eyebrows naturally bc they fell out from my alopecia when i was like 12 and never grew back in so i have a system that works for me but probably isn’t what most people who DO have eyebrows would want to use but anyway i put my foundation on my forehead and over my eyebrow area, i draw them on with the abh perfect brow pencil and then fill them in with abh brow powder duo. they have tons of eyebrow products though that work for people who actually have eyebrows lmao.

i have a few face primers and i usually like something dewy so i have the becca first light priming filter as well as the dr. brandy luminizer primer and i like them both i think i got both of them in the box but the last two times i’ve done my makeup i used a new one i got in the box which is the touch in sol pretty filter icy sherbet primer. thats a lot of words lmao. it comes in a pot and it’s like. idk how to describe it. it’s like a thick gel and it goes on so smooth it’s really pleasing to put on and it works really well from the two times i’ve used it, definitely keeps my foundation in place and looks really smooth.

as for foundation i use the nars radiant longwear which has been my favorite for a while but i also mix it with loreal infallible pro-glow sometimes if i need to make it darker to match my skintone. i’ve used quite a few concealers in the past like nars and too faced but right now i have the urban decay stay naked concealer and it works well enough. i set my concealer with the becca hydra-mist set & refresh powder and today i tried an ofra banana powder for the first time that i got in the box and i liked it. i set my whole face/foundation with the laura mercier translucent loose setting powder which i’ve been using for years.

for bronzer on an every day basis my go-to is the too faced chocolate soleil bronzer but today i used the pur mineral glow bronzer which i liked too. my every day blush is hourglass ambient lighting blush in’ mood exposure’ but the past couple times i did my makeup i used the clinique cheek pop in ‘ginger pop’ just to switch it up and i like that one. for highlight i use the balm’s mary lou-manizer pretty much every day for the past like. 4 years at least lmao. it’s perfect for my skin tone, most highlighters are too dark for me.

for setting spray my usual go-to that i would buy if i ran out would be urban decay all-nighter but i’ve also used too faced hangoveRx and i like that one too! but i recently got the maven beauty rose watter setting spray in the box and that’s worked really well! it smells nice too.

as for lipstick i have a ton of lipstick. my favorite lipstick is one i got in the box and there’s nothing on the packaging to tell me what it is ;__; im going to run out soon and i need to find a dupe. my other favorite is colourpop strut which is discontinued i have horrible luck. i do really like the formula of the colourpop satin lips though so i would recommend.
